Malleus Draconia versus Ortho Shroud

It seems some people are surprised at Malleus’ actions? That he destroyed the robot dogs and almost destroyed Ortho.

But I would like to point out that Malleus has always been like this; very protective of his loved ones.

For example: In Lilia’s PE vignette, he nearly took Rook’s head off because he thought Rook was trying to hurt Lilia.

Then we come to book 7, chapter 7 update.

Yes, he destroyed the dogs and almost Ortho but remember Malleus is protective of his loved ones.

Malleus OBed because he wants his loved ones happy and Ortho is a threat to that, so of course he’s going to destroy any threats to them and Ortho basically labeled himself as such.

Now I want to bring up a point that I don’t see many talk about?

Malleus understood Ortho’s explanation about how Ortho woke up and how he was able to penetrate the barrier.

Ortho described himself as immortal basically because he can transfer his data to any body, which Malleus understood as transferring vessels.

This is when Malleus finally took the steps to destroy Ortho. Not because he wanted to kill him, but because he knew that Ortho would still live and transfer himself to another body.

Did Ortho feel fear? Yes because Orth doesn’t like lightning and that’s one of Malleus’ powers but think about it.

Feeling fear is an emotion no one wants to repeat. Malleus acknowledged that Ortho might be feeling fear

With Malleus knowing that Ortho can feel such things, Malleus told Ortho he would end him swiftly because in a way that is an act of kindess isn’t it? To end it quickly rather than prolonging the fear.

But at the same time he knows that Ortho will live and remember this emotion, and that’s what Malleus wants, so Ortho would be too scared to try again.

Malleus is protective of his loved ones and he always has been.

While his actions might seem as if he’s out of control, he isn’t. He understood in his own way what Ortho explained to him before making his move.

He didn’t attack because he’s raging but made a more calculative move on his end to stop Ortho, one that he would make repeatedly if need be, since he knows that Ortho can transfer bodies.

The portraits of younger heroes and villains in totally-not-EAH-and-SFGAE-rip-off Merlin Academy, if anyone's curious. And like, before anyone goes at me for that nickname for Merlin Academy: the villains group portrait literally has 'V.K students' under it, implying they themselves are children of villains, which just opens up the idea that these kids basically became evil like their parents before them and the only ones to not be evil are the prior Descendants main characters, aka, similar to main characters in EAH and SFGAE. At this point, Disney is losing their right to complain if EAH does ever return because the only one copying right now in Disney.

So Arthur is the prince of Avalon blah blah blah instead of villains here they banned magic and sent all sorcerers to the isle.

Ok so Morgana turns out to be a sorcerer, Arthur who is about to be crowned king is like “we need to do something this has to change, let’s give them a chance” so he decides to invite a few of the children of the isle to come and study here.

Now enter the vks

We got manic pixie boy Merlin who grew up with stories about magic and dragons and his (absent) father and hates what the crown has done to sorcerers and magic. He's always felt like his very existence is a crime.

His magic? Banned. Books? Confiscated. He’s lived all his life in the isle so he does not know what magic feels like but but but he knows there’s something in his chest a pressure like he can’t never take a real breath like there’s something holding him back. He feels there’s something inside him that’s begging to come out.

Merlin, Nimue, Freya idk all the sorcerers maybe Mordred can come too I like him, are chosen to go to Avalon High.

They are happy about it, yeah why not, maybe things are finally changing and they might have a chance at leaving the island and having a different future, they heard the prince is not like his father, they want to give him a chance.

Merlin specially wants to give him, whoever he is, a chance.

Then they get there n meet Arthur n he’s all formal and wear this fake smile n Merlin can tell he’s doing this reluctantly, he is not confortable or happy to be greeting them, their presence alone bother him and it’s showing.

It’s obvious to them that deep down he hates magic n since magic is what he is he must hate Merlin too so not a great start.

When they crossed the bridge, Merlin felt it, it’s like the world got back it’s colors, like seeing, breathing for the first time.

Magic is in desuse in Avalon so people don’t learn it nor practice it but since Merlin is magic the second he leaves the isle he's able to use magic naturally as if he had been doing it all his life.

He begins experimenting with it and conjuring cute fire dragons and showing the others what they missed all those years and suddenly he realises that up until that point, without his magic, the very source of his being, Merlin was not living.

For the first time in his life he feels something. And then his hatred become stronger. How could they have taken this away from them, from him? Completion never felt more bittersweet.

And then, instead of going the d1 route, something happens, maybe Agravaine's being nasty again and throwing a coup d’etat or smth cause I really want to throw here the plot of d4 and bam they need to fix it, they must go to the past together n then, because they are a couple of dumbasses in every universe they start fighting n mess up with the pocket watch.

So instead of traveling to a few moments before the incident they end up to when magic was about to get banned and wow they discover the truth about Merlin’s incredible powers n learn about his dragon lord dad and wow is that Arthur’s mom? Wait what is his dad doing with a sorcerer?? Unbelievable. They have more in common than any of them thought before.

disney is a coward so I know they'll never do this, but given what we learned was SUPPOSE to happen between alex and stevie, I would still love a post-eloping for the reboot.

like just imagine alex and stevie as the Cool Gay Aunts(tm) for justin's kids (+ billie). they show up for the holidays and totally shower the kids with magical gifts, including a baby dragon for the boys (which does end up setting fire to their parents bed sheets). milo shows off a magic trick to his friends, using alex (since billie's not allowed to) sneakily casting spells from the bushes so the card really does dissapear from his hand, leaving his friends cheering (stevie smiling but refusing to admit to alex how cute is it). stevie has a motorcycle (which alex thinks is super hot but also refuses to admit) and while the kids aren't old enough for a ride, she does let them sit on it and rev the handles nice and loud while justin panics from the porch. they team up with all three kids to pull pranks on justin and even sometimes get giana in on a few harmless ones. maybe alex even uses her role on the tribunal to get stevie's records cleared, and they both start to advocate for a more fair way of distributing magic between families.

and billie could have an extra adult at her side! I know justin is suppose to fill the pseudo-dad role, but while billie spends her time with the russo's, also gets to spend her summers or whatever with her two cool wizard aunts. they encourage her to keep up with her studies but for the most part they just chill, letting billie indulge in a few sweets (knowing how health-conscious justin has forced his family to be) and sometimes in a pg-13 movie together. when she's there however, the house does turn into a prank war; guests are to be extremely careful when entering and encouraged to bring a separate pair of clothes.

I dunno it would just be super cool; alex and stevie reunited and I think the kids would love her too - plus watching their aunt who's always acted so aloof get all smiley and whatnot and I'm just imagining a scenario with alex and the kids like:

billie: why does stevie call you babygirl

alex: hey who wants to play the quiet game!!

There are many ways you could die here in deep space. You could be pulled into the gravity of a planet... or, god forbid, a star or black hole...

However, what seems most likely right now is suffocation. It will be slow and painful, but hey, so will every other death you could possibly have in this god-forsaken endless void...

Suddenly, you notice something out of the corner of your eye.

It almost looks like... an eel, of some kind... or maybe a person... or maybe both...?

"Aaaahhh~ What a surprise this is~" A strange, almost ethereal voice calls out, presumably from that strange creature... "How strange, I don't see your kind thiiiiis deep very often~"

You freak out and reach to your waist for a weapon, but... unfortunately for you, all of the weapons were on the ship, and you didn't have any time to grab any... so, you just have to deal with whatever this thing chooses to do with you...

"A human, hm~? I wonder why you were so deep in my territory~" The creature giggles, and begins to wrap its body around you. "Mining operation to find stuff that doesn't exist on your planet~? Or maybe you were preparing for war, I've heard your kind really likes war~"

"Let go of me-!" You demand, wriggling in this creature's grasp.

"Please, we both know you're on the verge of death, so I have no reason to kill you~!" He pats you on the head. "So, you have absolutely noooo reason to worry about me doing anything to ya~"

"...so then, what do you want from me...?"

"I just want to talk to you, that's all! I don't get to talk to people like you very often, seeing as your kind live so far away from this area..." He sighs. "...not just your kind, practically no intelligent life lives out here, so I'm always so bored and hungry... aha, but now I have you to talk to~! My name's Floyd, by the way~! Tell me, why are you here? You didn't answer me earlier!!"

Well, he sure is persistent...

"If you really must know, my crew and I were searching for another habitable planet..."

"BAHAHAHAHAHAHA-!" He bursts out in laughter, squeezing you a bit tighter with his long, slightly glowing tail. "Aaahh~ That's hilarious~ You're gonna die, and it will have been for nothing~"

"Huh-?"

"There aren't any habitable planets out here, none whatsoever~! Isn't that funny?? You were going in the complete wrong direction if you wanted somewhere to live~!" He finally stops laughing at you. "Say, Shrimpy, how many people were in that 'crew' of yours?"

"Shrimp-? N-never mind... whatever... anyways, there were..." You pause, thinking about everyone. All the people you knew on that ship, your friends, enemies, acquaintances... all of them, gone... "Including me... there were... 106 people on our ship..."

He begins to laugh again... a cruel, unending, boisterous laugh.

"S-sorry, sorry~ I hardly ever get to talk with people like you, and just... aaaah, it always surprises me how hilarious you are~ You're all so funny, and so pathetic, too~"

"Great, I get to be made fun of and laughed at in the last moments of my life..." You sigh. You're starting to feel the effects of your oxygen running out...

"Aw, sorry Shrimpy~ Tell ya what, I could make sure you have a nice time as you go out~" Floyd insists, moving so that you can see his face clearly.

"I highly doubt that you could give me a nice death..."

"We could kiss~" He licks his lips. "I could make sure it's really nice for ya! But... ehe, you have that stupid helmet in the way. Just take it off~"

"But... I-I'd die... horribly..."

"So? You're gonna die horribly anyways! Why not do this?? At least this'll be quick~"

Well, he does have a point...

This will probably be faster than suffocation...

"...alright then. Why not... I mean, not much else I can do..." You sigh, and bring you hands up to your head... are you really about to do this?

"Here, let me help ya~"

He places his hands on your helmet just as you do.

And then, the two of you pull it off of you.

You immediately feel the effects of the vacuum.

You feel like you're boiling alive, but it's freezing at the same time... your eyes feel like they're going to explode- no- it's your entire head...

Floyd presses his lips firmly onto yours.

You can practically feel the air being sucked right out of your lungs... soon, the deoxygenated blood will reach your brain... and then, you'll fall unconscious... and finally die...

Just twelve more seconds.

...

The kiss is amazing.

Strangely enough, it almost helps you forget about how much pain you're in.

And slowly, slowly, slowly...

You drift off into your eternal sleep.

"Shrimpy, wake upppp... I'm bored..."

You wake up on the floor of your boyfriend's dorm room.

"Agh, my head... what happened...?" You ask, rubbing the back of your head in pain.

"We fell asleep together watching a movie about space." Floyd tells you. "You must've fallen off the bed at some point, heh~"

"Oh... oh, I... I see..."

You stare up at the ceiling for a moment, thinking about that experience...

It was all... a dream.

Anyone else get the feeling that Teen will overcome the sigil and trigger his powers in the season finale of the show, leading to some cliffhanger like ending? The others won't know his true identity right away of course(except maaaaaaybe Lilia and I get the feeling that Rio also knows who he is) but *something* will happen.

As much as I want to see him all powerful and kicking ass with his magic like in the comics, 'Agatha All Along' is also kind of his backstory, so we're likely to get a Wanda-type build with him learning as he goes. It took her 10 years after all to reach her full potential and to gain the alias of Scarlet Witch. So he’s got some heavy lifting to do before he gets his name.

There is a very interesting theory going around regarding the sigil that's been placed on him, which hides his identity from witchfolk. He asks Agatha if she did it and she denies it at first, before mentioning that she wouldn't know anyway given that it also works on the witch who cast it.

Soooooo... what if TEEN cast it on himself? As per what Agatha said, he wouldn't know anyway and that would give the reason that he doesn't want anyone to know who he is and went to extremes to keep it hidden. I mean he clearly has magic seeing as he was able to break the hexs hold over Agatha and she mentions he must be pretty powerful in order to accomplish that.... hmmmmm.... 🤔 He also doesn't need more power, but his reasons for going on the Road are pretty murky too.

Also, I fell for the same need at first to wish that he was Nicholas somehow but I think that all the references and connections to her son that she keeps experiencing, will ultimately set up the crux of Agatha's character development. She is developing affection for Teen/Billy because she was internally hoping that he COULD somehow be her son, returned to her. Whereas, if she knew that he was Wanda's son, she'd most definitely hurt him in retaliation for what Wanda did to her. Another aspect of the sigil could be the protection spell that Scarlet Witch cast on her children, and that could be what is preventing Agatha from hearing anything when Teen talks about his past or says his name, to keep her from harming him.

Back to the character development, I see Agatha ultimately discovering Teen's true identity as Billy Kaplan/Maximoff and either trying to steal his magic or try to sacrifice him in order to regain her powers. But she will ultimately be unable to do it, redeeming herself of her past actions and getting a form of closure for what happened to Nicholas because of her as well.

Just my thoughts.

I was right about Lilia technically even if that sigil she cast caused her to forget too. I was right about Agatha wanting to sacrifice Billy to get her magic back but being unable to do it ultimately. Unfortunately, Billy now seems less like Wiccan and more like a whiny emo teenager only with magic. Hopefully he overcomes that soon and I can’t wait to see Tommy!

Everyone angry that Agatha never got “a happy ending” should’ve known that was coming, especially if you’ve read the comics. Rio did look pretty damn cool at the end, not gonna lie. I really did feel for Alice, WHY did they need to include that?! 😭 She deserved better!!!!
