thinking about alterna and o.r.c.a for the 2763rd time

the crystals that make up the sky in alterna show the inhabitants true desires right? why is it still a sky then? there are no humans still alive to have their desires projected

that could mean either past desires are still projected on the crystals despite current inhabitants desires or the fuzzy octolings in the kettles still have a desire to get to the surface, therefore the sky is projected on the crystals

or the saddest option to me, the crystals are projecting o.r.c.as desire to see the surface

o.r.c.a bas been left underground in alterna its entire life, itll never see the real sky, never see clouds, never feel the wind, so maybe its desire to see and feel that is shown on the crystals in the ceiling

even tartar got to see the sky in its life, even at the end. o.r.c.a wont have the privilege
