Imperial-Topaz ranks SWTOR Romances

To mark my return, I decided to do a SWTOR ranking, this time with the romances. I'm gonna stick with just vanilla ones for now, and do expansions at a later time. Also, I'm not doing any of the 'one-shot' romances, or I'll be here till the next century. Again, this is just my opinion, let me know what you think on these romances in the comments or reblogs. Anyway, this is gonna be a chonkey one, so let's get into it.

19. Kaylio Djannis

What a surprise. Anyway, she's down here for one reason in particular. She's literally the only romance option that fucking cucks you.

Yup. Honestly, Kaliyo is such an unlikable piece of shit. She trash talks you even if you're flirting with her and probably doesn't see you as anything more than a one night stand. I don't wanna look at this bitch no more. Next! 18. Doc

Yeah, you know how I feel about Doc already. The walking sexual harassment lawsuit who can't take 'no' for an answer. If you're a female knight who doesn't want to romance him (or at least wants to take things easy and not rush), you're in for an uncomfortable time. But what if you're into his flirts and return them? Is the relationship a bit healthier? I suppose, but his attitude makes it hard for me to take his commitment seriously. I just have this feeling that he'll run off to bang a hotter chick if given the opportunity. I mean, he already fled a wedding once.

So yeah, fuck Doc and his ugly ass crowbar mustache. 17. Nadia Grell

Before you crucify me, I like Nadia, okay? She's a great character. Her romance on the other hand is...eugh. There is a lot of unfortunate implications. You guys already know I'm not a big fan of Padawan and Apprentice relationships, it's just creepy for me. Also, you start romance literally after her father dies. I'm serious, it almost plays into the Sex for Solace trope. Also, the Consular is coded to be an older person, while Nadia is really young. I mean, ngl, I don't mind age difference as long as both parties are the age of majority (which, to give credit, they are) but still. Honestly, I just like Nadia better as a surrogate daughter/little sister to the Consular.

16. Corso Riggs

Yeah, Corso is...not the best in my opinion. I'll give him credit, he's got good looks and plenty of gentlemanly charm if you're into that sorta thing. But then again, his romance setup pretty much forces you to take advantage of him while he's drunk. Already that bumps him down a few spots for me. Personality wise, I find his whole 'don't hurt woman at all' shtick to get really old, especially when he does it towards women who are actively trying to kill him and the Smuggler. Buddy, you can defend yourself and still be a Gentleman at the same time. His jealousy also kinda gets on my nerves. Not my cup of tea, but I won't judge anyone who picks him.

15. Jaesa Willsaam (Dark side)

Some may not like that I put her this high, but the reason Dark!Jaesa is above the last four for me is simple: the entertainment value. Honestly, her romance is also roughly how I feel about her character: not actually 'good' per say, but so hilariously over-the-top and edgy, that I can't help but laugh. A perfect fit for a chaotic dark side Sith Warrior. However, as a genuine love interest? Not the best. There's better options you can pick for that. Also, I'm not discussing in this list Light!Jaesa, since I believe that's an expansion-only romance.

14. Raina Temple

Alright, done with the bad, now we can move onto the good, starting with Raina. She's alright in my opinion. I don't have much to say, honestly. I like her whole everywoman theme, she's cute, she's got some complexity to her, and she's not Kaliyo. Not an absolute fav, but she's good in my book.

13. Andronikos Revel

Again, not much to say. Revel's got a good arc to him: starts off casual and laid-back, but once you get to know eachother, he opens up and it becomes more serious. I also like how he's flirtatious and not an absolute creep about it...unlike a certain someone... So yeah, simple and sweet. 12. Risha Drayen

Don't have much to say for Risha, either. I like her, but I'm not crazy for her. I will admit, I do have a soft spot for the whole princess x rogue type of romance, and she is a pretty likable and personable character. I just prefer the other romance option for smugglers, but we'll get to that in a bit. 11. Felix Iresso

Someone give this man a hug, a blanket, and some snacks. He did not deserve any of the shit he went through. Hurt/comfort aside, I like Felix. He's calm, mature, friendly, and straight-forward in a good way. I know I sound like a broken record, but honestly, I am having trouble of what to say. Moving on! 10. Ashara Zavros

The one thing holding Ashara back for me is the master/apprentice dynamic. That's really the only problem I have with her romance. I just find it creepy. That aside, Ashara's pretty good. I love her character arc of her realizing the conflict between Jedi and Sith isn't as Black and White as she initially thought it was, and how it ties into her romance. I especially like romancing her with a Light Sided Inquisitor. It's just so sweet.

P.S. They did her dirty in KOTFE 9. Vector Hyllus

I know how beloved Vector is and some people are really not gonna like me not putting him the top 5. That's only because I only did his romance once. However, I did enjoy that playthrough. Vector is a very wholesome and quirky character with some interesting romantic themes. I'll have to play through him again someday. 8. Akaavi Spar

Man, I love warrior women. Especially ones who soften up over time, just like Akaavi here. I honestly have a soft spot for characters who completely wall themselves off from everyone else, but slowly begin to let other people into their boundaries as they open up. I know some people might not like me putting her over Risha, but I can't help it. Akaavi is just great.

7. Torian Cadera

Once more, not a whole lot to say, but I do enjoy Torian. His loyalty and courage are always endearing. One of my favorite moments in this game is reciting Mandalorian wedding vows with him. IDK why, but it's just so adorable for me. He, the Hunter, and Mako are an OT3 of mine. 6. Elara Dorne

Elara's romance is pretty adorable. She slowly begins to fall for you, spends time trying to adjust to a more casual relationship, and even goes out of her way to fill out heaps of paperwork and bypass regulations just so she can be with you. I love it. The one downside for me is the fact that you're her CO and she's technically sleeping with the boss. I don't hate it as much as the master/apprentice thing, but it does come a bit close. Other than that, she's great.

5. Malavai Quinn

Kicking off my top 5 is Quinn. The reason he's not number 1 is because I have a few issues with his romance. For one, you can turn the relationship very possessive and abusive as a dark side character. It's pretty scummy that the game lets you do that, and there is a sadly not insignificant amount of people who like to take that route. I won't call names, but still, it can get a bit iffy. On the other hand, if you're passive with him and respect his boundaries, his romance is considerably sweeter. It's really rewarding to see him show his undying loyalty and affection for you if you're not aggressively demanding it from him, and I love how you can rebuild your relationship after the Quincident. Really wish more people would go down that route. 4. Mako

Honestly, Mako has one of my favorite companion dynamics in the whole game, romance or not. She's charismatic and quirky gal to contrast to the generally gruff and straightforward bounty hunter, but still badass enough to keep up with them. And the romance, again, is pretty wholesome...and I'll leave it at that. Just plain cute and heartwarming. 3. Vette

Vette's dynamic with the Warrior is pretty much about the same as Mako's with the hunter. Which is why I really like her. I'm a big sucker for noble x commoner type relationships. Also in comparison to Malavai's, I like to take things slow with her, too. Instead of pushing every flirt button, it's wholesome to see her slowly come to a decision on her own and profess her love to the Warrior. NGL, though, I absolutely love how she literally jumps with joy upon being proposed to. Oh, and BioWare, how dare you make me choose between Torian and her! 2. Aric Jorgan

It's grumpy cat time. Another trope I have a soft spot for is the Defrosting Ice Queen (or King in this scenario). I love it when characters don't initially hit it off at first, but eventually warms up to eachother. Sure, when rushed, it comes off as contrived and unbelievable, but when done right, it's just amazing.

And Jorgan is just that, his friendship/romance evolution with the Trooper is a bit slow, but also believable. By the end of the story, he ends up straight up dedicated towards you. I also love how flustered he can get in romantic situations. Now if only BioWare made him bisexual... 1. Kira Carsen

@swtorpadawan and @magicallulu7 are gonna like this. Anyway, Kira might just be my favorite vanilla SWTOR companion. Playful, snarky, but still goodhearted and brave. And throughout the years, she'd still remained a favorite, both character and romance wise. I know, master/apprentice stuff, but I never see the Knight as her master. I see them more as Jedi partners (and perhaps more) if anything. I really like how you do help her overcome her past trauma and develop into a more responsible figure. Honestly, making her Bisexual in Onslaught was a chad move...if only BioWare did that for other companions. Conclusion

Losing a friend is like losing a part of your memories and personality; you can’t look back at them because it’ll just remind you of the times you had and how many times you two were together. You can’t forget the times you were down because that friend was always there so to lose the shoulder you cried on at one point is like losing a comfort item, as much as it sounds selfish you wanna keep them to yourself for the sake of having someone there, you dreamed of living and going college with that person but now anytime you see each other there’s not even a smile shared, now you look away awkwardly as if you didn’t even grow up with her, as if you weren’t the one at her parties, the one she complained to about her family and problems, you understand sometimes people grow apart but if you asked your child self if you were to lose that person, they would laugh and say never not even when we are old and wrinkly. You dreamed of always being close to each other, even after death, but now you wonder if they even know your favorite things. You always thought they would the ones your kids call family, the one to be at your side when it’s your wedding, you grew excited to grow up thinking they’ll always be there at your side for every milestone, the one you’ll call to be the god parent of your child, the one who’ll help you shop for your wedding clothes, the one you’ll have on speed dial. Losing a friend breaks the heart way beyond any lover can; it breaks not only the love but also the child inside you that grew up with this person. You cry and scream for them in your head but can’t bring yourself to reach out, you look at the old messages and regret not talking to them more, not taking more photos but how could you ever think that you wouldn’t see them once again when as a kid you couldn’t spend a day without speaking a word to eachother, you never went to each others houses but to you they were your safe place, but now as teens you two barely talk, in total different groups, in different directions of life but at the end you would still help that friend out, in the end that little kid in you would always have a bestie with them, and for that your grateful as they saved you in ways no one else could have, I guess that’s why it hurts more then anything else, because your not just losing your best friend, but your comfort person, the whole reason why you stand today.

Ok, first I’ll pick at it with more conventional things. Mostly punctuation and organization I suppose.

I suppose you could put ; here, but I think because the 2nd idea has ‘because’ in it, it isn’t well-fit for this purpose. So I made them individual sentences.

You can’t forget the times you were down because that friend was always there; so to lose the shoulder you cried on at one point is like losing a comfort item,. As much as it sounds selfish, you wanna keep them to yourself for the sake of having someone there. You dreamed of living and going to college with that person, but now anytime you see each other, there’s not even a smile shared,. Now, you look away awkwardly as if you didn’t even grow up with her, as if you weren’t the one at her parties, the one she complained to about her family and problems,. You understand sometimes people grow apart, but if you asked your child self if you were to lose that person, they would laugh and say never, not even when we are old and wrinkly.

Now right away, I don’t know if you noticed this while writing, but this is like…5-6 sentences smushed into one. Which I think you did by adding lots of commas. You can do this to a certain extent of course, but I think cutting it down will make it easier to read.

A lot of what I did throughout the sentences is add or remove commas. I also added quite a few periods. Periods help complete thoughts and make it clear for readers, so keep that in mind while writing!

You dreamed of always being close to each other, even after death, but now you wonder if they even know your favorite things. You always thought they would be the ones your kids would call family,; the one to be at your side when it’s your wedding,. You grew were excited to grow up thinking they’ll always be there at your side for every milestone,. Now here, I think you could rearrange the sentences so they kind of follow chronological order, so that it’s easier for the reader to read. Like wedding clothes -> Wedding -> Being Godparent -> Children.

Now I didn’t rearrange them because that would be confusing for you to correct and see. Some of these sentence corrections are there because of how it’s ordered. Now if you re-ordered them, it might be different.

I also noticed you like to use parallel structure, which I would keep up with that. You sometimes change it at the very end, which might break your style.

I was a little hesitant here on the colon, but I think it makes sense to put it there because you are explaining why it breaks the heart more than a lover right after.

Because you’ve mentioned the person as ‘them’ earlier in this piece, I think it’s better to use the pronoun rather than this person, since it can get chunky or unclear.

You cry and scream for them in your head, but can’t bring yourself to reach out,. You look at the old messages and regret not talking to them more,; you regret not taking more photos with them more. But how could you ever think that you wouldn’t see them once again when as a kid, you couldn’t spend a day without speaking a word to eachother,? Ok for this part, just like the last few, I chunked it into easier sentences, and did some minor grammatical corrections. The part where I put the semi-colon, I added a few words to the 2nd idea to make it more complete and suited for parallel structure.

Final evaluation for conventions: I think the biggest thing is knowing where to end your commas and putting periods instead. You have lots of parallel structure going on, which I think is great for you style. But you need to keep the parallel structure consistent if you use it.

I would also read on semi colon placement if you haven’t, so you have a better idea.

Stylistically, I think it’s great. I know you don’t explain why you split up with the friend, but I think it gives a sense of mystery. It’s still complete without it. So I wouldn’t worry too much on that. I would focus more on getting your conventions fixed.

(I don’t do this much editing for my own pieces, but hope this helped you a little).

Lost and Found (Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell x Reader)

AN: Okay, so this was just a quick indulgent piece I had laying about. I've finally figured out where to take RECALL so part II of that should be out tonight? And I'm slowly getting through the requests, I just wanna get them right and I've been distracted with other stuff recently but I hope you enjoy!

She froze up. She'd never felt the phrase 'like a deer in headlights' so viscerally before.

She looked, scared. Her stance like she was halfways through stepping away and making her escape, her eyes wide and lips turned into more of a grimace than a frown.

The only movement in her, was her jaw, as she tensed it and ground her teeth. She had nothing to say, but no means of getting out of this.

"Where the fuck have you been?" Pete asked, trying to sound angry but it was plain to see he was just hurt as he stood there, unable to look her in the eye.

She didn't mind that, she thought she was going to cry, and whilst he couldn't see the sickly lump forming in her throat, he'd be able to see the tears welling up in her eyes.

"Pete-" She whimpered, the sound barely escaping her lips before she choked up and could continue. She couldn't see him like this.

Her heart was broken, and she didn't know what to do about it.

"You blame me? Don't you?" He spoke more than asked, with every muscle in him tensed and his eyes fixated on the sidewalk at her feet.

She was horrified. She didn't blame him. She couldn't have- she never wanted him to think it either.

She'd not seen him since Goose had died.

Her, Goose and Maverick had known eachother for years. She'd known Pete first, as teenagers, met in highschool and bonded over both being military brats. Her father was till serving of course, unlike his.

When he went into the academy, she visited him on her breaks from college, and then she'd known Goose too.

Soon Goose met Carole, and then three became four, and eventually four became five. It didn't matter that everyone assumed she and Pete were dating, it wasn't true but she could see how it looked when they were all together. It was the natural division of things.

They were all, a little family. She and Pete had been part of the wedding party when Nick and Carole married, she was Bradley's godmother.

They were so excited when the boys had gotten sent to Top Gun.

And this wasn't supposed to be how the story ended.

She had been walking back from the beach, to the motel where she was staying for this particular visit, her towel over her arm, when the receptionist stopped her.

"Miss- Someone's been trying to call you for the past hour?" The young girl had told her and pushed a receiver into her hands.

"Hello, (Y/n) (L/n). Speaking?" She spoke nervously into the phone, bringing it to her ear as she leant on the counter so as not to pull the wire so far.

"Goose is dead." She heard a monotone voice on the other end, crackling through the old phone system. She recognised the voice, though it's tone was uncharacteristic and unusual.

She felt her heart drop.

"W-what?" She questioned, stumbling quietly on her words, letting her towel fall from her arm as she put her other hand on the receiver, pressing it to her ear to make sure she heard it right.

"I'm sorry." She heard, and then knew she heard right. She could say nothing as the line buzzed with static through the silence for a moment. "I'm sorry." Was repeated, the voice cracking and fading as it spoke. Pete repeated the phrase down the phone over and over.

Gently, (y/n) whispered down the phone.

"Pete..." Was all she could think to say, her voice almost wispy then, far away and she wasn't sure she was breathing.

A few more moments of silence ensued, as the pair both just listened to eachother down the phone, there was a hollow comfort in hearing the other's shaky breath down the line, but it didn't last long.

(Y/n) let the phone drift from her face, it just lay in her hands which rested on the counter, one in the other in front of her, whilst she just stared out into the small motel office. She slowly lifted her hand, but even that seemed a Herculean effort considering the shake in it and how faint she suddenly felt.

She hung the receiver back on it's hook and breathed out.

"Bad news?" The receptionist asked, a little meekly.

(Y/n) took a moment to look at her but eventually turned her head, and nodded slowly and absently.

"I think I'll be staying a few extra days." She spoke quietly before turning around and going back to her room in a daze.

She'd locked herself in and didn't come out till about 4am, when light began seeping in through the gap under the door and between the curtians.

She didn't know what to do. She'd gone outside and sat on the curb for a while before going back in. By then someone had gotten a message to her to say what happened.

At a reasonable hour of the morning she managed to drag herself up and put on some clean clothes.

She walked the couple of miles to where Carole and Bradley were staying whilst they were here. She stopped on the way and bought some sweet treats from some convenience store she passed.

She walked slowly, and mulled everything over.

She'd been thinking all night. She'd cried a lot. But she didn't know what to feel.

She'd grown up around people who did this every day, she'd known people who'd lost people. But she never had. Not like this either.

She knocked on the door to the little apartment and eventually Carole opened it.

(Y/n) just put her arms around the woman. She mumbled how sorry she was into her shoulder and they just stood there, rocking eachother back and forth.

(Y/n) stayed with them, supported her friend, for the next few days. She refused, though Carole tried to convince her to, to visit Pete in the hospital.

But she was too scared, to unsure of herself. She didn't know what to say to him. Facing him was aknowledging what had happened and she didn't want to.

And now they were here, he'd been cleared of any wrongdoing, Carole had taken Bradley home, seen Pete and collected all of her husband's things.

Finally she'd gone down to the base.

"I don't need you to blame me. I blame myself enough without you-" The young pilot continued on, gradually louder and louder.

"Pete- No." She spoke, putting her hands to her face like a scared child.

He stopped mid sentence and looked at her, saw how scared she was by his raising his voice. He'd never done that before. But he'd never lost Goose before.

"I don't." She sighed and told him, pulling her hands from her face and knitting her fingers anxiously together, holding them in close to her body. "I just- don't know what to say to you." She shivered in the sunshine as she spoke quietly. "I've known you all these years and I've never felt that. But I've been terrified of seeing you because I don't know what to say. And I'm sorry."

Pete just looked at her, and she couldn't meet his eye.

"I don't know what to say." She spoke again, choking on her words.

"You're right- we've known eachother all these years, and now is the time you don't talk. After everything? Cos' maybe I didn't need you to say anything! Maybe I just needed you to be there!" He started off speaking quietly and quickly it crescendoed into an awful, hurting shout.

His nostrils flared and his eyes were twinkling now with tears.

Once again, silence. She finally pulled her eyes to meet his, but couldn't hold it. She looked away and held steadfast.

"I don't want it to happen to you." She spoke, very quietly.

"What?" He asked, his tone still angry and yet this was softer than what had come before.

"Seeing you- Talking about what's happened. It's not just admitting that Goose is gone, it's admitting that, any day, any moment, I could get a call saying the same thing happened to you." She choked out the words. "I don't want to lose you too, Pete."

He lauched foward and wrapped his arms tightly around her, she buried her head in his neck and both of them let tears fall.

"That'd be the worst thing. To lose you would kill me Pete. It'd be..." She sobbed as she wrapped her own arms around him. "I'm sorry. I know you needed me. I know you did. But I had to be selfish because losing you, even if it were only in my head, and losing Goose all at once was going to kill me. And nothing is ever going to be the same again without him. Nothing." Pete could only nod. He had no words to speak because he felt the same way. Without her in the aftermath, was like he'd lost her too. It was a parallel experience that had lead to this moment of grieving catharsis.

Breifly they had lost eachother, but now they had stumbled through the darkness and found eachother again.

Their little family was broken, and would remain so, for many years, they expected. They'd learn to live without Goose, even if they didn't want to, and they'd learn how to talk to Bradley about his Dad and answer his questions. Carole would learn that life hadn't much changed, without Goose- not everyday life. Just there was no X marked on the calendar, no giddy anticipation for the day when her husband would come home. It was just like he was permanently at work. Sometimes she would catch herself thinking of having to do something to prepare for him to come home, reset his alarm clock on his bedside table, stock the refrigerator in the garage with the sodas only he drank, before realising she didn't need to. Sometimes she did it anyway, just to make herself feel better- or sometimes to justify to herself why she felt like she was going insane.

The thing was, as (Y/n) and Pete stood on the sidewalk outside of the base, the evening sunshine shining down on them, they knew all that was to come. All the really hard parts were on their way. But it didn't matter in that moment, because suddenly it felt like they might just about manage to do it. They might manage to keep their little family nearly whole.

But, God, did they know they'd have to do it together.

He’ll pull you in by the waist and nuzzle his head up against your back with a grin.

At this point it’s his favourite song because it always gets him in the mood. But that’s only because he thinks of you when he hums it.

i’m not sure how i made this conclusion but i’m gonna go with it

He has the prettiest voice when he sings along.

It’s not really dancing though. He has your back facing his chest while his arms enveloped on top of your collar bones and shoulders. He’s pecking gentle kisses against your cheek while rocking back and fourth to the song while you two prepare breakfast.

You tried to move away from his hand that came to your face.

“You were mine before theirs.” he grabbed your face.

“You’re crazy.” you said, barely above a whisper.

“It was only a matter of time before I could have you all for myself.” he smirked leaning in.

You whispered out a no before he let go of your face. He took a few steps away from you before he turned around and hit you, instantly apologizing.

You spit out a bit of blood, you wanted nothing more than to cry out but tried keeping yourself together.

“What will you gain from this?” you looked up at him with disgust.

“What aren’t you getting?” he tilted his head. “I finally have what's mine. You would be mine if they didn’t come into the picture. They always took away what was mine.”

You were confused on what he meant but you could see the sadness in his eyes for a split second, but it soon switched to anger.

He rushed towards you. Fear setting in, not knowing what he was going to do. He untied you from the chair leaving your feet and hands bound. He picked you up, carrying you out of the empty room. You tried looking at where you were, all you could see was a carpeted floor and paintings scattered on the wall. It felt familiar, like you had been here before but you couldn’t think of where. Before you knew it you were thrown on to a bed. You clutched the shirt that covered your body tight feeling the sleeves slip down your shoulders. Looking around the room you could finally piece together where you were.

“The villa…” you whispered.

He chuckled darkly, he knew you figured it out.

“Why bring me here?” you looked at him confused. “They will find me. It’s only a matter of ti-“

He slapped you.

“ENOUGH!” he yelled, making you jump back. “Let them come. It won’t end well for them.”

He left the room soon after. You couldn’t believe he would bring you to the one place they would find you, the villa your family owned, it was where you met Seo Joon in your high school days, it also had been a place you would bring the boys when you wanted a few days away in the woods for peace and quiet. You both were best friends up until you married. His behavior changed once you started seeing any of the boys, it had become clingy and possessive. You never knew him like that, he was always the sweet, shy and smart Park Seo Joon. you couldn’t grasp where it all went wrong. It saddened you but you had to remain strong, you couldn’t let your guard down.

A few hours passed and he finally returned, this time with food and water. He walked towards you, making you tense up and move away. He pulled you by your ankles. You tried fighting back.

“I’m untying you, chill the fuck out.” he hissed. “Now don’t try anything.” he pointed at you before sitting in the chair across from where you were.

“Now eat,” he grumbled.

You stared at the food, not having the strength to move.

“I may have taken you but i can assure you it’s not poisoned.” he said rolling his eyes.

You ate slowly.

“Now that you have me, what will you do to me?” you ask him.

He liked that you wanted to ‘talk’ to him, you knew he wouldn’t shut up once you got him going. As he went on listing all the things he was gonna do you were getting uncomfortable and disgusted. You also could sense and hear commotion from outside. He obviously didn’t notice. It wasn’t until you could see movement under the door that you changed up your plan.

“You are insane.” you said with disgust. “You really think I would have been with you back then let alone now? We made out once, ONE time seo joon. You really think I would fuck someone like you?” you decided to get him riled up which would get him off guard.

You could see the fiery expression in his eyes at your words.

“Honestly, you aren’t even man enough for this. You are nothing but a scared little boy who is just pissed that the one thing he wants isn’t his and doesn’t want him back.” you fake pouted.

“Keep it up,” he said lowly pointing a finger at you.

“Or what? You are nothing compared to my men. Unlike you, they know the difference between protectiveness and borderline crazy.” you knew it was working, you could see the feet stop in front of the door.

“THAT'S IT!” he yelled before charging at you.

He was stopped in his tracks when the door was bussed down.

“WHAT TH-” he was cut off by a gunshot.

You screamed. You looked up seeing Yeonjun. He was one of Hoseok’s best men.

“IS HE DEAD.” you shouted, looking at him passed out on the floor.

“He’s still alive, just wounded.” Beomgyu said, checking his pulse.

“Death would be too easy.” Yoongi said walking in.

“YOU'RE HERE!” you jumped into his arms.

He held you tight against him.

“ARE YOU REAL?!” You said, frantically running your hands all over his face.

“Yes we’re real little one.” Jin said coming into the room.

“Get him out of here. I’ll deal with him later.” Hoseok said, coming into view, The others, not too far behind.

“Why would he do this?” You looked down pouting.

“We found files he kept hidden with nothing but pictures of you Miss.” Beomgyu said.

“And a few of the bosses with holes through their heads.” Taehyun said. “Not to mention the nude ones…”

He looked at you with sympathy.

“I want to see them.” You said, wiping tears off your face.

You all began walking out to the SUV’s ready to head home.

A new place meant new beginnings, but also much more hidden and higher security.

Arriving at the hotel you walked ahead of them instantly going to your room not wanting to be bothered.

Once in your room you noticed two huge boxes filled with files. You were an hour and a half into the first box barely making a dent. You cried here and there, You couldn’t believe how much he had stalked you. All the trips you went on, all the meetings, you in your restaurant, club. He was everywhere. It wasn’t until you got to the second box that you felt disgusted. The entire second box was nothing but you nude. You cried harder. This man was supposed to be like a brother to you, but he was too good to be true. He was at your wedding for god sake. You all let him in and this is how things ended up. You were sitting there with your head in your hands when your phone went off.

He nodded and closed the door behind him.

He pulled you in close.

“Let’s just lay down.” You whispered, a yawn following.

Laying down in the middle of the two, your back facing Tae who immediately wrapped his body around you making you and Jimin giggle.

You played with eachothers hands neither one speaking. You could feel your eyes getting heavy.

“Sleep my love.” He said. “We’ll be here to protect you.”

He kissed your head and you were soon deep in sleep. You woke up to the sun in your face and tangled in arms and legs. You tried your best to wiggle out but Jimin’s hold on you tightened. You tapped his cheek earning a groan from him.

“I need to pee.” You said struggling to sit up.

“Don’t leave.” Taehyung whined.

“Do you really wanna sleep in a wet bed?” You smirked down at him.

“I am up.” He shot up.

Jimin slowly got up at the sudden movement.

You giggled and shook your head before going to the bathroom.

Walking out you hear the boys on the phone.

“Alright, we’ll pack everything up and head on out.” Tae said into the phone. “Okay bye.”

“Everything is moved into the house.” He smiled.

“We can head over once you are ready.” Jimin said.

It didn’t take long to gather everything. Down at the lobby you only saw one vehicle.

“They are already there making sure the security is set right.” Jimin said.

Upon arrival they put in a code to open the gates which wasn’t new but the long driveway was. It definitely had its similarities and differences. Walking into the house you could hear Hoseok and Joon giving demands about bodyguards for each of you. You walked in and all eyes were on you.

“Come meet your guard's love.” Joon said.

“I want to choose my own.” You demanded.

They both gave you a look. After the last two you wanted to make sure you were protected at all costs.

“I want Yeonjun and Soobin.” You said. “Don’t fight me on this Hoseok. Them plus Beomgyu have gone above and beyond for our family and I trust them with my life.”

“Okay.” He said.

“I can assure you all will do your absolute best to protect me and my family.” Joon said. “You’re dismissed.”

They stood there just looking at you.

“What?” you said, raising your brows.

Hello there😊, wanna ask you a question that is roaming in my head!! and raising my anxiety. These days, we are only getting the videos and the photos that Hybe/BH wants to show us. Most of these are edited but sometimes I feel that something is wrong with Jimin(don't get me wrong). Like it's always JK who is showing much affection to Jimin but JM became kinda quite in Jikook. Personally I don't think JK is the one leaning forward in their relationship. In spite of the introverted phase he is in, I think Jimin is the one piloting things this season post the October era. I mean it's pretty much obvious.

Jimin has been on his Jikook agenda for a hot minute now. Why do you think antis are mad?

Not to be that person, but I think I pretty much theorized when 'October' was happening that whoever was 'at fault' was gonna come swinging hard on their Jikook agenda when that phase was over. We are in the post October phase. Do the maths.

And I know a lot of people have been mad at Jk for acting 'cold' and and aloof, 'uncomfortable' blah blah blah but I just think he is just chill and laid back. He put the ball in Jimin's court and it's up to him to decide what they do and how they interact especially with their glass closet now and I think that's been weighing on him too. I'll talk more about this in the Minimoni post. Sigh.

For Jimin, he's gone through a phase of reevaluation and reassessment since October. He bought a second house. He's talked about cutting off friends, trying to find his voice or try new styles- something deep and melancholic, listening to emotional songs, working out, trying to build muscles etc.

There's a lot happening around him too. For one his members keep churning music in a language he is barely conversant in. That can be challenging especially for someone like him who doesn't like to do things half assed.

He is taking on new challenges- don't know how well he is or was mentally prepared for it. For someone like Tae and Jk who had already dabbled in English Albums and singles I think they are pretty much happy about the direction the band is headed in and were very much prepared to take on this challenge.

I think they are all challenging themselves as a group in this era.

I'm not sure how he feels about the others constantly talking about that they are old and can't do this and can't do that- Jimim is 25. I don't think he is that old. He loves his youth and loves to celebrate it and make the most of it. Young forever.

I can imagine the toll it might take on him to constantly hear that he is old and can't do this or that by his members and netizens.

He loves the stage. Loves to dance. I mean look at how hard he went with his dance in the PTD MV. Hopefully in 2022 things can go back to normal.

Bangtan went from we are getting old to we are fossils in 0.2 seconds it gives me whiplash.

What I'm saying is, there is a lot going on in his personal and professional life as well as his social life. All of that could be contributing to his mood lately.

As to whether he wants a break from his relationship I think he is the best person to answer that.

People who don't know what they want or who subconsciously want to end their relationships often self sabotage their relationships in their waking life. Sometimes too they are just insecure and immature and don't know how to keep the things they want and end up sabotaging themselves. I do think JM went through phases like that in the past- you know which eras I'm talking about.

But I do think he is in the drivers seat now and the ball is in his court to decide whatever he wants from their relationship and how he wants to work it.

I think Kook is equally in a place where he would be ok with whatever Jimin decides- granted he would shed a few tears and write sad songs if Jimin decides to break up with him. He and Taylor Swift about to be Bffs. Lol.

you know at some point dean must have said some sad thing like for the longest time he never thought he'd live long enough to get married and the only circumstances he could imagine was hooking up drunkenly with a stranger at some vegas wedding scenario like that's the best he would ever get and he thinks it's mostly forgotten but then during their cross country honeymoon roadtrip castiel does in fact navigate them to las vegas and quietly mutters that the legal veracity of the little chapel on the city limits is dubious at best and they're already married so it couldn't do any harm and they get officiated by an elvis impersonator and a woman wearing more sequins than fabric throws cheap confetti over them

and after that they stop into every venue they can find that would be friendly to them to pretend they're eloping and at one point dean even pulls out the fbi id badges and the officiant is under the impression he's facilitating some sort of covert workplace romance 

one place is a kitchy little house that's clearly just the couple who run it opening their strange home to anyone who needs it and have been since the 70s and Castiel thinks for a moment when they're asked to pin something to the collection of stuff on the walls and ceiling before pulling the receipt for the pie they'd shared earlier in a dinner out and scrawling his and dean's name on it to be added to the clutter 

and at one point they stand ankle deep in a pond while some old hippie lady wraps their clasped hands together with soft fabric and chants something that dean knows isn't real magic but hey he's not going to tell her that and after the ceremony they sit on the grass and feed each other sweet bread to complete the binding or whatever and it's nice but it doesn't compare to the ranch where they both tossed their cowboy hats in the air and were given a horse to ride to their camp site

i thought about riverboat gambling for point one seconds and now i know in my bones that one of their many weddings was on a riverboat, they made the captain officiate after cornering him on deck in like five minutes, the crew sent them complimentary champagne and they threw fries at the birds following the boat while sharing it straight out of the bottle

cas spends most of the next day in dean's zepplin shirt and a pair of shorts they only picked up once they got there because neither of them thought to bring beach clothes, they sit on the balcony and dean sips his beer and idly plays with the ring on cas' finger and they play a game of what fictional monsters could they beat in a fight

cas’ true form is the size of the chrysler building he can fight king kong easy that's what he says and dean's like okay but what about mothra and castiel is like how would YOU defeat mothra and dean just goes "bugspray." GDJSGSHSGSHDSJ DEAN WOULD

-Kid!Hawks growing up with the LOV (both as a permanent thing and various ridiculous drabbles) This involves Unwilling Big Brother Shigaraki, scarily willing Big SisterToga who knows all the coolest knife tricks, Best Uncle Twice who sometimes on his real good days doubles as temporary Dad, the Dad who teaches you how to hot wire cars and laugh people’s money straight out of their wallets Compress, mother-henning can-not-leave-you-alone-for-one-god-damn-minute Spinner, True Mom Kurogiri, Big Sis Mag who seems to be the only actual one that realizes that children need to sleep at some point for the love of god, extremely confused but horrifically soft Dabi who may or may not eventually turn his whole life around because of this feathered idiot that needs someone to make sure he lives a happy life whether it be a permanent shrinking or not. Oh, and Machia. The best Mountain Monster Dog brother (?) a boy could ask for.

-Kid!Hawks with UA (staff edition) also both in temporary and permanent circumstances. Temporary is already in progress. Permanent? Oh boy, permanent world. They raise him within UA so as to keep him from the Commission. Hawks often sits in on their classes with coloring books, picture books, or just to sit there and watch them. He is very smart. He picks up on things, but mostly he just likes being around all the staff. He picks a new person to sleep with every week because some of them have really shitty sleep schedules and even as a kid he knows they would feel bad keeping him up, thus forcing them to go to bed through good-person guilt so he tragets the sleepiest looking people for the week (hint: Aizawa gets picked a lot, and even if he’s not sleep deprived Hawks would pick him because he adores his grumpy cat Dad). Thirteen does crafts with him all the time. She watches every kid show and gets really into it with him. Hawks and Mic make the meals and they sing the entire time. They sing together throughout the day. Hawks will chirp out a line of notes and out of nowhere Hizashi will burst in to sing the lyrics. Midnight reads him bedtime stories cause her voices are the best. She does his nails and lets him do hers. He practices on the UA students to surprise her with new designs (the students fall over their own feet to offer to be his test subject). Snipe does little challenges with him. Things that, while technically helping him get used to controlling his quirk, are more fun than anything else because Hawks enjoys using his feathers in games. Hawks dresses up like a cowboy for an entire month, quoting old western movies and driving everyone but a very proud Snipe up the wall. Hound Dog and Hawks go on walks together ALL THE TIME. They explore the woods around UA and Hound Dog tells Cementoss to change up the geography every once in a while so they have something new to explore. He teaches Hawks how to go camping and Hawks fricken adores him and is always on his shoulders just kicking his feet or napping in Hound Dogs hair. Ectoplasm is Hawks favorite person to play any kind of tag based game because the others are too easy to catch with his feathers. But with Ectoplasm and all his clones? hawks goes nuts. Ectoplasm cried once when Hawks asked Aizawa for peg legs for Halloween and when someone asks him if he wants to be a pirate he says no because he wants to be a super cool hero like Ecto for Halloween. No one will be as cool as him. Hawks fricken loves Vlad. Like, adores him. Whenever Vlad is in the room Hawks will just go hang off his shoulders, or tuck under his arms with a book to read, or just lean against him. He has a little stuffed bull dog that has Vlad’s exact resting bitch face and carries it with him every time he leaves the dorm because he feels safer with it. He goes to Vlad when he’s injured because Vlad just takes care of it, gives him a hug, and doesn’t tell him to be more careful. Just asks if Hawks learned something and moves on. Hawks and Nezu are penpals. They see eachother every single day, but they are penpals. Hawks grows up with the most beautiful calligraphy handwriting because he keeps trying to out-do Nezu’s. He absolutely tattles on every single teacher in these letters, giving Nezu years worth of blackmail. Hawks thinks Nezu is a stuffed animal until he is fourteen because Nezu never fesses up. He just thinks the staff is even cooler for letting a stuffed animal run the place. He only ever cries around Nezu.

-Kid!Hawks UA(Student edition): So many. There’s lines I’ve written where they’re still in school when Hawks is kidified. When they’re already pros. In Canon, in Hawks-sensei, I even a small blurb sentence of Deku running a preschool that Hawks gets put into in an AU with quirks still. I can’t even... there’s too many students, cause I’d do all 1-A and 1-B. My favorite one to randomly wake up in a panick and write about though is the one where it’s Hawks-sensei verse based and Kid!Hawks gets taken in by the Monoma family. Rui and Eiko are older and Monoma is a pro-hero by then. The pure amount of fluff, sass, and Hawks spoiling that will happen. Big Brother Rui and Bigger Sister Eiko.  I think about this one a lot.

-I’m currently (slowly but progressing) writing a gift for @saltwater-sweets where Kid!Hawks is taken in by the Uraraka family. Like, he’s not even shrunk in this one. Uraraka’s newlywed parents were involved in the accident he first saved people in and they found him before the Commission. They realized his homelife situation and opened their home to him and now he is Uraraka’s big brother and that one line I threw out there? About him being a global superpower in household moving? Teaming up with Uraraka for that? Yeah.

-Kid!League of Villains and adult Hawks. Yeah, you heard me. They all get shrunk instead of him. And he can’t just... turn them in. They’re kids. They haven’t done any of the crimes their older counterparts have. And if it’s a permanent thing? They stay kids? Then he has a chance to really, truly save them. To give them the happy lives stolen from them. The Commission doesn’t like that. So Hawks takes them and runs. Dabi can be an adult too, I guess, if that’s the ship or something, but I just really wanna write Kid!LOV and Dad!Hawks.

- Raven was born and I dived down that rabbit hole so fast I went back in time. Raven. But from a way earlier age. Those guys mugging Hawks when he was fifteen? The spark. Hawks stayed on the streets, he never went back, and he learned some things. He got some freedom, learned some shit, and realized that hero society was pretty fucked up. Shigaraki starts the LOV up and realizes there’s this whole underground community he was never aware of that Hawks has been building for years. It’s great.

-Hawks was never found by the Commission so he was never ‘Hawks’. His Dad raised him as a criminal but Hawks, with his little heart of gold, took every chance he could to make something good out of the bad deeds. Then he got old enough and he took full control. You ever seen the Levi OVA’s of Attack on Titan? Where he’s walking down the stairs and you realize every single person there is part of a huge ass gang of awesome with Levi at the head? That. THAT.

-Hawks loses his shit in Canon and goes completely AWOL. full Feral. He sees the problems, and he is prepared to do whatever it takes get rid of them. Whatever it takes.

AU Hawks

-Horribly injured, recently retired at the ripe old age of 23, and looking for something to save him from depression. Hawks meets Todoroki Fuyumi who gets him a job at her school. This one makes my brain happy.

-Takami Keigo and Todoroki Natsuo meet in college, graduate together, join the same hospital, and open one as partners as soon as they can. Ship or no ship, they go through their entire lives together. (I just... I really like the Todoroki sibs, okay?)

-Takami Keigo was born a lot earlier. So much, earlier, in fact that he is classmates with this overly optimistic ball of light named Yagi Toshinori and the grumpy ball of flame Todoroki Enji. Big Three anyone? Also, everyone needs a dumb smart birb to keep them sane. Hawks loves his friends, and he’ll kick anyone’s ass that tries to hurt them be it physically, mentally, or emotionally. Also, he meets Nana. 

-I LOVE THE IMAGINARY KAMAKIRI FAMILY DYNAMIC OKAY?! literally anything with Hawks involved in their lives, okay?! I did not expect to spiral so hard when I made up Hideo and his relationship with Kamakiri but my god did I spiral! I just really love them!

Shigaraki sfw alphabet

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Shigaraki wouldn’t really show much if any affection towards you at the beginning of the relationship. This will be because of two reasons. One, he will want to keep up the act that he doesn’t care about anyone. Two, he is terrified of hurting you as he knows one tiny mistake will cause something horrible to happen to you.

Later on into the relationship he will be more open to showing you affection as he will start to trust himself around you more and won’t be as worried about hurting you. He will definitely be more affectionate behind closed doors as he doesn’t want the others in the league to tease him about it. 

His favourite way to show affection is by having you watch him play video games while sitting on his lap. He loves being able to combine his two favourite things into one so this makes him really happy. 

B = Beginning (How would the relationship start?)

Shiggi would take some interest in you when you first join the league for some reason or another, most likely the way you look as that is the first thing he knows about you. After that point he would slowly get you to spend more time with him until you both end up together. Neither of you would ask the other out, you would just end up together

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Shiggi loves to cuddle! He is so touch starved he craves your touch and affection. If he goes too long without your cuddles he will sulk like a big baby until you finally give him some love.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

He has had thoughts of settling down but he also knows that it isn’t really an option for the two of you so he tries to make you as happy as he can and make your life as close as he can to that domestic lifestyle.

Shiggi doesn’t cook or clean. He completely refuses to clean as he thinks it is a waste of time but he does wish he could cook so he could cook meals for you but he is hopeless at cooking.

E = Effort (How much effort do they put into the relationship?)

He puts a lot of effort into the relationship even though sometimes it doesn’t show very much. Shiggi is emotionally stunted so he struggles showing how much he cares and the amount of effort he put in to make sure you are happy.

F = Fear) (What do they do if you’re scared? How would they comfort you? How would they wanna be comforted if they were scared?)

Shiggi tries his best to comfort you when you’re scared but he usually just ends up cuddling you as he has no clue what else to do. 

If it was a person who scared you he will end up killing them but you may be able to convince him not to after a lot of begging.

If he is ever scared he will want you to hold him and gently run your hands through his. Just cuddle him and listen, he will be more than happy. 

G = Gifts (Do they like giving you gifts? Do they like receiving them?)

He loves giving you gifts as it is a way he can show his love for you as he struggles with his words. He loves you so much and he would give you the moon if he could.

Shiggi also loves getting gifts as he is a man child so he will always get excited at the sight of something new for him. It also shows him that you love him enough to be thinking about him while buying something.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Shigaraki loves to hug you. Just being in eachothers arms helps him recharge and just reminds him that you are really there with him, loving him. He is just so painfully touch starved that he will eat up every piece of affection

I = Intimacy (Do they have any problems with intimacy? How romantic are they?)

He has a lot of issues with intimacy as he is emotionally stunted and he just doesn’t know how to function in a romantic situation. He definitely is not a romantic person in the slightest

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Shigaraki will be one of the most jealous people you will ever meet because he doesn’t trust other people around what is his and he is so scared of losing you as you are the only person in his life to show him true love.

When he is jealous he will turn into a sulking man baby that refuses to talk to anyone, including you. If he stews in his jealousy for too long he will get increasingly angry and may attempt to kill the person who is making him jealous. After the situation has been sorted he won’t talk to you until you make it up to him somehow.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Shiggi’s kisses are very sloppy and sometimes pretty stiff as he doesn’t know what he is doing but you can always feel the effort he is trying to put into the kiss.

His favourite place to kiss you is your lips as they are the complete opposite to his, they’re soft and plump which he loves so dearly.

His favourite place to be kissed is on his neck because he knows you are trying to stop him from scratching at his neck with these small soft kisses. He especially loves it when you wake him up with these neck kisses in the morning whilst cuddling into him for warmth.

L = Love (Who says it first? How fast is it said?)

You will most likely say the first I love you as Shiggi is much too scared to say it first because of how emotionally stunted he is. It would be said fairly fast as you would be showing him that you do really love him

After the first ‘I love you’ has been shared it isn’t said that often afterwards as you both prefer to show your love than say it.

M = Marriage (Do they want to get married? If so, what kind of wedding would it be?)

Shigaraki will definitely want to marry you and is willing to do anything to make it happen.

The wedding itself would have to be rather small as he is a villain so it would be difficult to have anything too extravagant but he will try and make it perfect for you however he can.

N = Night Out (What’s a typical date night for them? How often do they go out?)

Shiggi would much rather stay in to have a date night with you as he doesn’t enjoy being out all to much but every now and then for a special occasion he would be willing to take you out somewhere rather simple for a date.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Shigaraki would start opening up more about himself much later into the relationship as he doesn’t feel comfortable talking about himself or his past much and he doesn’t want to scare you off with his past. 

He would most likely say everything about his past at once so he wouldn’t have to talk about it again with you.

P = Playful (How playful are they?)

Shiggi can be pretty playful with which isn’t something you would have thought of him to begin with. He can be a pretty silly guy with a decent sense of humour, he can always make you laugh somehow.

Q = Questions (Do they ask for your opinion on things? Will they share theirs?)

Shigaraki does value your opinion on things as you mean so much to him so he will always be asking you questions, he also just likes asking you questions so he can hear your voice.

He will give his opinion on almost everything whether it was asked for or not.

R = Random (How spontaneous are they? Do they do things on the spot or do they have to plan ahead?)

Shiggi is very spontaneous as he is a sleep deprived man child who doesn’t like thinking everything through. He enjoys being able to do random things with you for no reason at 3am

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Shigaraki is very protective of you because you mean the world to him and he is not willing to let you get hurt in anyway. He will kill anyone yo make sure you stay safe.

He would rather you didn’t try to protect him as it makes him worry about your safety.

T = Trust (How much do they trust you?)

Shigaraki trusts you with his life, he wants you to trust him the same.

U = Unique (What makes them unique as an s/o?)

Shiggi is unique in many ways, not all are good. Other than being an emotionally stunted touch starved man child he is insanely protective and will do anything in the world for you. 

V = Vent (Do they let you vent to them after a hard day? Will they vent to you?)

Shiggi is a surprisingly good listener and he is always willing to listen to you mainly because he loves you but also because he loves the sound of your voice.

He is more than willing to vent to you about the league or someone who beat him in a video game and he expects you to listen to him the whole time or else he will sulk.

W = Wild Card (Random Headcanon)

Shigaraki really enjoys taking showers or baths with you as they feel really intimate and he enjoys basking in your warmth in the water.

He also loves when you wash his hair real softly.

X = X-ray (What would they do if you got injured?)

Shigaraki will go ballistic. He will kill whoever hurt you in a painful way and will lecture you on being safer. If it was an accident you did by yourself he will get angry at you for not being careful

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

He wouldn't like anyone who tries to change him in any way. You either take him as he is or not at all. 

Z = Zzz (What’re some sleeping habits of theirs?)

Shiggi basically never sleeps, he has nightmares too often. The only time he will be willing to sleep is when you are with him otherwise he will avoid it as much as he can.

Whenever I'm getting tired of a maladaptive daydream series that's been going on in my head for a while, I either kill my character off or kill somebody important to them off or make them fall into obscurity– Except I literally cannot do that with yesterday's daydream so I decided why not write it all down?

In this current daydream, I'm the elusive leader of some underground organization literally called The Underground. Set 5-6 years after the current ongoins of BNHA, we essentially help people disappear from the eyes of the public(and the government!)– Whether they be ex-villains or ex-felons or civilians that just want a new life, we're happy to help. We host these huge, monthly, elaborate charity parties so that we can get funds and also donate some of those funds to other organizations dedicated to the homeless and the hungry! Also, I'm Dabi's best friend and he's my right hand man. After establishing all of this, I kinda of hit a roadblock as to where I wanted to turn, so I had my villainous ex-lover invade one of these parties and hold me at gunpoint.

Except... This was getting interesting! I decided I didn't wanna die just yet. So we go back, do a bit of rewriting– And decide that various heroes (MindJack, FreezerBurn, Cellophane, 30-y/o Hawks for some reason) were getting these threatening letters all about "dispose of him or I will" sharing things like the time and place of the party that dearest ex-lover invades. They come in just to see what's up with the place– Maybe provide some protection for this random guy that's getting death threats– and everything goes as it did originally, except with added pressure because these hero guys are there for my protection! So anyway that goes on and like a month or some other semi-short while goes by and I've been established as friends with the heroes and now I've decided "let's just have a semi-flirty friendship with Hawks and call it a day!"

Except, well, I decided with all the ideas flooding my brain I should just put a stop to em and turn to another daydream. And so, why not kill off Dabi and make me disappear off the face of the earth??? Yeahhhhh,,,, So Dabi goes missing for a while and somehow my guy Hawks get intel on where we may be able to find him so I tag along with a couple of heroes on what could be a rescue mission. And just as I say something stupid like, "Oh yeah, he can hold his own! He'll be fine :)" we slide open the doors to this werehouse and there he is... On the ground...... Heavily bleeding and Very Well Dying :(. I go to him and sob and he's on the brink of death when he tells me to just keep on talking to him. So I tell him how he's my closest friend in the history of ever. And I tell him I love him. And I tell him stories from my life before I became immersed in The Underground, and his last words to me before he stops breathing are a little laugh and an amused little, "You're such a dumbass." The ambulance gets there but it's too late. A week later, I'm hit with the press asking about my relationship with the former villain, and how I feel regarding his death... I respond "He was my best friend. And I loved him. And I'm sad. Is that enough for the tabloids?" And then after that interview I announce I'm taking a sabbatical from life, leave The Underground in the hands of a trusted friend (either Mustard or an oc of mine called Akira), and disappear off the face of the Earth

Except, ohoho, this was truly getting interesting! So I decided, 6 months later, I'd reappear from nowhere. And how do I make my entrance? A surprise, truly. I'm taller, I'm bolder, I'm happier than I've been in a long time– And I walk right into a party as hosted by whomever currently runs The Underground. A number of my hero friends are there. I walk right up to the host, get a hug from him, dismissively explain that I was just "far away" and that I'd be happy to reposses the responsibilities of The Underground in a month or so– Because I want another little while to live a little bit less stressfully, but surrounded by all my people. After a talk with the host, I find Hawks– We exchange snarky comments and he tells me he thought I was joking when I said I'd be taking a break from life. I tell him "Well, now ya know" and then he teases me about how a certain someone is staring. I laugh and raise a brow– Then he tells me how one Hanta Sero has been calling him every other week, asking if there's been any updates on my status. How Sero's been antsy to see me again. How he's worried. I laugh and roll my eyes like he's just teasing, but then he tells me to look to my left or smth and I do and... I lock eyes with tape man. He chokes on whatever he's drinking. I go to him and we get to talking and maybe a bit of flirting– I can't not tease him mercilessly. I go a little bit more in detail about my whereabouts– "Exploring my roots, and all that. Going 'round the world in 6 months." He calls me pretty and I ask if he's flirting, to which he confirms. I laugh and explain, "Well, pretty boy, a lifetime ago, I told myself I'd never get with anybody whose job had 'potential death' in the description– Heroes included." He pouts, but he understands. "Except, maybe let me get to know you more. I'd be willing to rewrite my rules, if you can show me it's worth it." An outing and a couple dates later, Sero unexpectedly ends up in the hospital

But I didn't wanna kill him off lol, I love him too much! So, I say that, in the line of duty, he fractures his knee or smth. But thanks to quirks and modern technology, they can fix it! I rush in and I'm worried but I'm assured it's all good. By the time he's cleared to go home, he's looped up on painkillers and his hero friends are conveniently back on the job and since he probably shouldn't be left alone, I'm left to take him! I take him home and we sleep and when we wake up, we're cuddlin or something cliche like that. He looks at me and all he sees is beauty, and he just.. Stares, for a while. But then I wake up, and I feel that spark, and I cup his cheeks in my hands. We stare at eachother, and after a second, we share a kiss to remember. Later I tell him that I want to kiss and I want to hold hands, but I don't want to put a full committment into it– Not until I have my full job back and we figure out if we can both handle the stress of that. And he understands. So, soon I've got full ownership of The Underground again. I host a party and people can see me n tape man are unusually close, this time. In the next party, we hold hands– He gets all nervous and I tell him, "At this point, darling, if you wanted to, I wouldn't mind if you shouted our relarionship out to this whole room." The party after that, he has to come in late because he was away at a convention or smth and his flight was delayed. He makes a big show of running up to me and scooping me in his arms and finally, officially announcing our relationship with another kiss to remember. We're together for years, after that. He moves in with me, we get a cat, he regularly even helps with managing The Underground. Life is good. And then for some reason I get shot.

Then, we're in the hospital room– I wake up to him at my bedside, hair messy and eyebags prominent and worry-lines creased in his face. He's kind of rambling, talking about whatever comes to mind. I move to grab his hand, sending a smile his way. He smiles back and takes a deep breath, before lifting my hand up to kiss my knuckles. We greet eachother with loving little "Hey."s. He tells me the guy that shot me is locked up and won't hurt me again. He tells me he knew I'd pull through, but that he was worried I'd be permanently hurt. I told him I probably would be. The mood gets heavy, but then I kind of tug on his hand and give him a goofy smile, "By the way..." He raises a brow and suddenly the mood is lightened, when I hum out a lighthearted yet serious "Let's get married, Hanta"

Anyway this is the only daydream in which I haven't been able to die... So I decided I'd just write it down and say that we ended on a good note! Because I can't really juggle multiple daydreams, and ideas tend to come daily so I always have something different to work with. Never get bored, ykyk? And no way am I letting this kinda awesome Sero brainrot burn me outta good content for myself

Thought:

We’ve seen Castiel fight quite a bit, he’s actually decent at it, and he has plenty of cool abilities that we see him use like once and never again. He can shoot lightning down from the sky, twist knives that he’s not touching, and he’s obviously pretty good with a dagger/knife because Angel Blades. So, here’s my Supernatural Better Ending idea.

So, after the confession Dean and Sam fight like hell to get Cas back. But, they make a rule: No more of this self-sacrifice garbage. It always gets us into more trouble than we were in before, and it hurts us all. So, we get Cas back by any means necessary, except that. Spells, trickery, killing demons, angels, reapers, all powerful creatures we’ve never even heard of, whatever, just not ourselves.

And they succeed!! It was... oooohhh my god it was fucking hard. The boys need a fucking nap.

After said nap, they sit down and discuss what they all want, and what they’re gonna do next.

Dean says that hunting is really the only thing he’s ever known, it’s what he does best. Sam got a year off to think and feel what living in the real world is like, but Dean’s never really done that, and he doesn’t really want to. He likes kicking in the door of abandoned factories and killing whatever ghoul or ghost is traumatizing or killing the local townspeople.

Sam says that he’s really tired, even after that nap. He wants to live a normal life, and he feels like he’s got the chance because for once it feels like the world isn’t hunting them down, or that he needs to go hunt someone else down to go save them. He’s got a knack for fixing things, for making things work and tick, and well... there’s this girl... But, there will always be this little voice in the back of my head saying that there’s lives to be saved, there’s ghosts to be killed, so maybe I can still help out?

Cas says, he’s not really sure what he wants, other than to be with them (it goes unsaid but they all know he has a uhhh preference if he “must” choose between them)

And Dean pipes up that, well “we’ve seen you fight Cas and you’re pretty good at it, a bit stiff” Sam snickers a bit “but, uh, you can handle yourself quite well.” He snickers again. “You can use an Angel Blade, I’ve seen you shoot lightning down from the sky in the past. Why don’t you come with me on my monster hunting trips?”

“Would I have to learn how to use a gun?”

“It might be good to know, but there’s other ways of fighting that work almost as well.”

“Alright, I... like the sound of that” Cas says, as he cracks a little bit of a side-smile.

Dean, on a bit of a roll, says “and Sam, you’ve always been more partial to research anyway, would you wanna be our...” he pauses for a moment, because this is an emotionally charged title he’s about to offer Sam, and a lot of memories and feelings come flooding back. He smiles warmly and with pride, but undertones of sorrow creep in. “Our new Bobby? I mean, like, part-time since you want a mostly normal life, right?”

Sam, seeming a bit taken aback by this proposition “d- uh- y-yeah! I’d- I’d be glad to do that! Oh and uh, I was thinking, since I’m good at fixing things and making things work, well, I could maybe design you two some new tools. I mean, we’ve got salt pellets for the shotgun and iron tools, and silver bullets, but there’s gotta be other ways to further simplify those kinds of techniques, make them more efficient.”

Dean face lowers a bit and he seems... sceptical. He’s always been one for tradition, “if ain’t broke don’t fix it” is a very old phrase and I think he’s a fan.

“Of course, never to the point where hunting would be un-fun. The danger is part of it! But, I wanna keep the number of hits you- two- (he pauses and gestures to Cas, getting used to this new dynamic) take before you kill whatever you’re hunting to a minimum, right?”

Cas, having been just kind of standing, listening mostly in silence until now, says “yes that would be good. Also, since the main weapon I use is an Angel Blade, would it be possible for us to get other, similarly styled blades for me to use? Because, as powerful as an Angel Blade is, it only kills some supernatural beings other than demons and angels.”

“Uh, yeah I’m sure we could get you that. I don’t think I could make it but I can definitely look into it.”

And then they go, they get right into a decent rhythm (I’m not technically caught up so the details of what’s going on with Sam are going to be lacking.) Sam goes and talks to his girl, tells her that he’s going to be living a mostly normal life from now on, just with a bit of research and a bit of tinkering. He gets a job as the local plumber, but also does work on cars, on electrical things. He’s kinda known around town as the fix-it guy. If you’ve got a problem or somethings broken, he’s a pretty safe bet. In his off time he designs this heavy cloth rope that’s been soaked in salt-brine and then dried, leaving it full of salt, so that you can more easily encircle a room with it. It works best for ghosts because they’re mostly incorporeal. He designs a little box, kind of like a craft supplies box, with a series of small tools and materials in each spot. Gold, silver, copper, a coin of each, a piece of iron, and all sorts of other little pieces of equipment and ingredients.

We jump to Cas and Dean, in The Car, having a laugh when Dean’s phone rings. Sam says he’s got a lead and that he has some stuff he wants them to try out while they’re there. He gives them the rundown and say he’ll mail the package to the local shitty motel.

Normal Supernatural episode stuff happens, they follow the lead, get the package, find the house, and get to work. And we get to see Dean and Cas dance-fight their way through like 12 ghosts. They flow around the room with such synchronicity, despite the difference in pace between their weapons of choice, shotgun and throwing daggers. A beautiful sweeping shot around the room of them annihilating ghost after ghost after ghost. The only interruption being that Dean takes just a second too long reloading and gets scratched across his left cheek. Cas quite promptly stabs that ghost in the back, and the room falls silent.

“I think we got them all.” Cas says, without looking around the room, eyes fixed on Dean.

“Thanks, Cas” Dean says in a near-whisper

“No worries. Let’s go get that patched up.”

Cut to Dean sitting on the edge of the trunk, with Cas patching up his cut. Can’t Cas heal people? Well... they prefer this ritual to magic-y insta healing, it’s not as fun. Cas will make sure it won’t scar, however. Cas finishes bandaging him up, and makes one more good press on it to smooth it out, leaving his hand gingerly on Dean’s cheek.

“There we go, all cleaned up.” He says, smiling and looking over Dean’s face once more, just to make sure that’s the only scratch, or is he looking for more personal reasons? Maybe both?

Dean was kinda looking off in the distance while Cas patched him up, but now he looks right into his eyes. He grabs onto Cas’s caressing hand gently, smiles ever-so softly and leans in and kisses him. It is the exact kind of kiss you would expect from Dean Winchester, if any kiss could be described as “gruff”, this would be it.

They both let go after a long moment, Cas’s eyes are full of so much: shock, confusion, excitement, joy, and for a split second, fear, thinking he might just get sent back to turbo hell the empty.

Dean however, simply has a cheeky grin on his face with a touch of embarrassment. “Y’know... we haven’t had a chance to talk much since you got back.”

“Uh- Dean- I...” it looks as though Cas’s mind is going about a trillion miles a second.

Dean revels in his love’s adorable awkwardness, that often shines through even if he isn’t the only one in his vessel, even if he hasn’t spoken, damn he’s the cutest. “I wish I coulda done that sooner. I just... felt I wasn’t ready. That one had to be 100% on my terms.”

Cas wants to say something, anything, but just- there’s so much happening in his brain right now he can’t- he just- ah! This is amazing but he just cannot get any words out.

“Hey uhh, you good there buddy? Did I short-circuit you?”

“I think maybe, yeah!” Cas finally says with a chortle and this expression of relief and excitement and at least a little bit of embarrassment.

We cut to the next scene, back at Sam’s house, giving reviews and suggestions about his inventions.

“Okay okay, I can probably fix that by adjusting the drying time based on the humidity, and you’ll probably need to keep it in an air tight container from now on.”

“Yeah I was uhh... a little distracted when we put it away last. Sorry about that.”

“It’s alright Cas, it’s good to know that proper storage matters for this one.”

Suddenly, a bunch of pinging comes from Sam’s computer.

“What’s that?” asks the ever-paranoid Dean.

“I set up a series of notifications on my computer to go off if it found any news article that had a series of key words. This seems like a big one, vampires most likely, telling by the key words it found. You guys down?”

“Always.” They say, in tandom. Somewhat surprised, they glance at eachother a moment.

Sam raises his eyebrows. His face then says the word “anyways” without him making a sound.

“The article says it happened in [town], [state]. A man was killed in the...” Cas and Dean step around the desk and Dean leans in to look at the laptop, both hands on the desk, Cas leans in slightly and looks intently as well. They begin to discuss, likely speculating what type of vampire and what to do as the camera pans back and up in an arc as Sam’s voice fades, Carry On Wayward Son begins to play (because it has to) and it fades to black.

(Honestly wanted to write that last scene as if it was far later, well after the kiss, so that I could mention an Easter egg, that would be for eagle eyed viewers if this was an actual episode, where Cas and Dean both had wedding bands. Couldn’t figure out how to make it work though, and not seems like a big, weird jump.)
