Swtor: Who Gives the Best (and Worst) Gifts
The best gift-givers:
Kira Carsen
Felix Iresso
Risha
Akaavi Spar
Vette
Malavai Quinn (He just knows EXACTLY what to get.)
Ashara Zavros
Mako
Torian Cadera
Vector Hyllus (His gifts are kind of weird, but sometimes end up being practical. Mostly they're just sweet momentos and keepsakes from the places you've been.)
Raina Temple
Lana Beniko
Koth Vortena (Idk why but I just feel like this guy KNOWS how to shop and exactly what to get.)
The worst gift-givers:
Nadia Grell (She's trying so hard.)
Corso Riggs (Gave you a blaster/explosive/weapon for the 50th time.)
Aric Jorgan
Elara Dorne (Genuinely thinks her gifts are great and useful. They unfortunately aren't.)
Jaesa Willsaam (Light)
Jaesa Willsaam (Dark)
Theron Shan
Doesn't even bother:
Scourge
Zenith
Andronikos Revel (Honestly it might be he just forgets to sometimes.)
Kaliyo Djannis (She also might even have the gall to expect something from you, but wouldn't care too much otherwise.)
Arcann (Unless you can pressure him to, he doesn't see the point, and reserves gifts for very special occasions.)
The only gift you need is him:
Doc (Has absolutely no idea what to get you, and all the audacity.)
Khem Val
Lol I started this before Christmas to try and get it done before then. Anyways, as I am creatively bankrupt, send me ideas! Of any kind!

For both Dark Side Jaesa and Zash, yeah no, I played through Warrior and Inquisitor only once

I wanted to express my disappointment of not being able to romance Elara as a female trooper even after we get her back on Iokath, researched just to make sure and found out that it is possible just very very late in the game.
Maybe my headcanon can be canon after all. Good old slowburn. Just like the gods (Tyth/ Aivela/ Esne/ Nahut/ Scyva/ Izax) intended.

SWTOR Companion Sexuality Headcanons
Instead of sleeping, I decided to slap this together. These are my personal headcanons as to the sexualities of SWTOR romance options. Please don't flame me for these, or else I will cry.
Let's get into this
Republic:
Kira Carsen: Bisexual, male-leaning
Doc: Heterosexual (duh)
Scourge: Demisexual, biromantic
Felix Iresso: Straight
Nadia Grell: Bi-curious
Zenith: Yeah, I got nothing
Corso Riggs: Hetero, more of a ladies' man than a men's man.
Risha Drayen: Bisexual, but male leaning, again
Akaavi Spar: Pansexual, to give the girls some love.
Aric Jorgan: Heteroflexible
Elara Dorne: Bi-curious
Imperial:
Vette: Straight as a line
Malavai Quinn: Bisexual, equally both ways, change my mind.
Light Jaesa: Gives off Demisexual vibes to me.
Dark Jaesa: Chaotic Heterosexual
Andronikos Revel: Probably straight.
Ashara Zavros : Also probably straight.
Khem Val: Demi ftw
Mako: Pansexual
Torian Cadera: Heteroflexible
Kaliyo Djannis:...complicated.
Vector Hyllus: Bisexual (BioWare plz)
Raina Temple: Most likely Hetero
Expansions:
Theron Shan: Bisexual, female-leaning
Lana Beniko: Bisexual, both ways equally
Koth Vortena: Gay, or at least male-leaning bi.
Arcann: Maybe Demisexual
Tau Idair: Pansexual
Anri: Lesbian
Arn Peralun: Hetero
Rass Ordo: Bisexual
If you guys are curious as to why I see it this way, feel free to ask! And if there's some other SWTOR character you want to hear an LGBT headcanon on, lemme know!

may i have the dorne/quinn name lecture pls? eyes emoji
ah christ I didn't expect anyone to take me up on this UHHH
listen. Part of this is in-universe and part of this is out-of-universe and I'm not exactly sure who to blame. Because on the one hand. Elara is in the environment of the Republic military, where it seems to be generally held that calling someone by their first name is a gesture of closeness and camraderie; nobody in fandom routinely calls Felix by his surname. (Aric Jorgan is an outlier, perhaps because he is Extremely Stern.)
On the other fucking hand, literally everyone calls her by her first name, and calling Quinn by his given name feels a little wrong! It's mentioned towards the end of his romance arc, after getting fucking married! This would indicate that, in the Empire, addressing someone by their given name is gauche unless and until they are legally your spouse, and even then, only when alone. Military love affairs are surname-only.
So in-universe: can you imagine how jarring and almost violating it must feel for people to suddenly start calling her Elara? Something incredibly sacred and intimate in the Empire, just shouted out into the mess hall for all to hear? There's so much there to her swapping sides, the culture shock and the whiplash and the terrible homesickness. I love her and I want to gnaw on her.
Out-of-universe: I think fandom calling her by her first name and Malavai by his surname, constantly, is a liiiittle bit of a symptom of sexism. We don't take her as seriously. Granted, to actually back this up, I'd have to like.... go through the game again and tally up how many times her given name is used in dialogue, vs "Lt. Dorne", which I don't want to do. But my hunch is that it's sexism, either on the part of the fandom or the devs.

Okay, look, this conversation is sweet enough on its face, but then you think about the fact it’s the first one you get after the Gauntlet mission. Meaning either a) she just almost died or b) Jorgan just almost died and she had to patch him up enough to keep that from happening.
Both options would make you appreciate the good things in your life. Like a significant other who makes you happy and lets you just be yourself. Idk if the timing was intentional on that, but it works out really well.

Hii,
Idk if this has been done before, but the swtor companions and their spice tolerance levels/Do they even like spicy food?? 🔥👀 Torian def has to cuz Mando good is spicy iirc.
Tysm! I love reading these headcannons, btw. I hope to read more soon!
Indeed Mandalorian food is super spicy. I can't claim that I can handle spice well, but you can see who I think would below! Also send me SWTOR related requests peeps, cause I write them!
Swtor: Spice
Spice connoisseur:
Risha
Akaavi Spar
Jaesa Willsaam (Dark)
Torian Cadera
Kaliyo Djannis
Vector Hyllus
Lana Beniko
Average tolerance/liking:
Kira Carsen
Scourge
Nadia Grell (Loves trying new foods all the time, and has taken a liking to spicy cuisine.)
Felix Iresso
Elara Dorne
Jaesa Willsaam (Light)
Andronikos Revel
Mako
Theron Shan
Koth Vortena
These bozos can't handle it at all but are constantly eating spicy food:
Doc (Is trying to brute force it for better tolerance. It is not working.)
Corso Riggs
Vette
Does not like spice/low tolerance:
Zenith
Aric Jorgan
Malavai Quinn (Doesn't like it, but his spice tolerance is really high.)
Ashara Zavros
Raina Temple
Arcann
Does not care for spice, so long as it has meat on it:
Khem Val

You know, since Date Nights have been announced and the first 4 companions dates had been released. It leaves me wondering if the vanilla companions you flirt with as the same gender will finally become official. You can flirt with Elara as Femtrooper and there has been a Male BH flirt for Torian, and I recall seeing a video of a Male Agent flirting with Vector.
I didn't see any outcome of these flirts for a while.
