@livmadart fun Detective Conan AU ideas and drawings inspired me to share my own AU idea.

This AU is called - The Guardiens Of Beika Where Conan and the Detective Boys become the new guardians of the veil, and use their magic powers to fight against the Black Organization. (More information about the AU is underneath the line. Feel free to say what you think of my AU in the comments or reblog.)

AU Storyline; One of Shinichi's ancestors was the previous keeper of the Heart. After that ancestor died, the Heart became a family heirloom that has been past down to the eldest Kudo child on their 16th birthday. Both the Heart's origin and magical powers remained hidden from the Kudo family, until the day Shinichi went to Tropical Land. That same day, Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko had to sneak back into Tropical Land when they discovered Genta accidentally left his phone in one of the park's bathrooms. This leads the children to witness the men in black force-feeding Shinichi the Apoptoxin drug, and watching Shinichi's body shrink. After helping Shinichi escape from the park's security guards, the Heart's power awakens and the spirit of Xin Jing appears before them. Xin Jing explains that the Heart had forseen the many difficult battles that awaited Shinichi, and decided to grant him it's power. The Heart also granted it's powers to Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko after witnessing their courage and kindness when helping Shinichi. At first, Conan didn't believe in the Heart's magic, nor did he want the others to be involved in his fight against the Black Organization. But Conan changed his mind after they all transformed and used their powers for the first time when saving the kidnapped CEO's daughter. They soon become famously known throughout Beika as "The Guardiens". Later on in the story, after solving the murder of Professor Masami Hirota, Haibara is chosen by the Heart to be the fifth (and final) guardian. Haibara didn't want to accept the Heart's power at first, mainly because of her background with the organization that she didn't think she deserved to be a guardian. It wasn't until the old blue castle investigation case that Haibara accepts her guardian powers in order to save Conan, Genta, and Mitsuhiko after they were kidnapped.

Other AU Details [contains anime spoilers!]:

When they transform into their guardian forms, the Heart not only gives them teenage bodies, but also changes their appearance (such as different hairstyles and color), and makes it so their fingerprints and DNA can't be identified. They also gave themselves codenames based off their elemental power.

The groups guardian forms (including they're hairstyles and color), powers, & codenames; [the guardians' outfits were made on the online character creator game "Witch Guardian Maker v2". They didn't have a male body or outfits options on the game, but I tried making the boys' outfits look less girly]

Conan aka Shinichi [codename: Rakurai] - Quintessence/Keeper of the Heart

Haibara [codename: Scarlet] - Fire

Ayumi [codename: Aqua] - Water

Mitsuhiko [codename: Tenkū] - Air

Genta (codename: Terra) - Earth

Since Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko knows Conan's true identity, they are with Conan more offen and get involved in cases way more then in canon. Such as being there when Conan first met Heiji.

The group still solve cases as the "Detective Boys", but with more dangerous cases or sometimes cases involving the Black Organization, they transform and use their guardian powers.

In the AU, the police aren't entirely sure if the Guardiens can be trusted, and has even opened an investigation on the Guardiens' true identities. But during dangerous situations, some officers and investigators (such as Sato and Takagi) are willing to work together with the Guardiens.

The FBI and Public Security Bureau are also wary of the Guardiens, but are more willing to work with them in their fight against the Black Organization, and doesn't investigate the Guardiens' true identities.

At the beginning, Agasa didn't know about the Detective Boys being The Guardiens. It wasn't until they transformed and used their powers to capture Agasa and Shinichi's parents after they "kidnapped" the group.

After learning about the Detective Boys' powers and the Heart of Kandrakar. Shinichi's father, Yusaku Kudo, began researching on the Heart's origin.

In this AU, Heiji first figured out the Detective Boys were the Guardiens before figuring out that Conan was Shinichi. Heiji kept quiet about knowing the Detective Boys' secret until he found out Conan's other secret.

Kaitou Kid also learns the Detective Boys' secret. Like in canon, The Detective Boys first encounter Kaitou Kid on top of the Haido City Hotel's rooftop. Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko (in their guardian forms) later try to help Conan capture Kaitou Kid during the Suzuki family's party, but failed. It was then that Kaitou Kid started suspecting that Conan and the Guardiens had a connection to each other. Kid didn't figure it out though until the events of "The Last Wizard of the Century".

FBI agent, Shuichi Akai, starts to suspect the true identities of the Guardiens shortly after faking his death, but doesn't saying anything or try confirming his suspensions.

Vermouth suspects that the Guardiens are working with the FBI, but hasn't figured out the Guardiens' true identities. And since she doesn't have any proof of the Guardiens' involvement, Vermouth decides not to tell the other members about her suspensions.

I think if I said who my favorite characters in media were, it wouldn't surprise anyone here. Instead it'd be like that explains so fucking much while saying nothing. So fuck it.

I was typing this up during that whole other thing people may have seen. I don't know what this list can tell anyone about me. It is funny to go over for me personally because a lot of the characterization stuff I like from Milgram can be found in most of these series. Which is proably why I have trouble actually picking favorites in regards to Milgram since all of the characters have traits I enjoy.

But yeah that's a little bit about me I guess. I do enjoy a lot of the characterization I see in Milgram. This is much more casual and generally being written up to give some idea of my likes. Though most of these are good watches, reads, or plays. Most are pretty well known but I would recommend Spiral since it's not that talked about in general.

While I answered this previously, something else did come to mind here... not that it fully counts, but I was temporarily "known" as the "cosplay granny" due to a post I made... "Dig a little deeper" as an audio post with the caption "cosplaying" (Reminder - it starts with "don't matter what you look like")

Q - A fandom you’ve abandoned and why.

Ironically, it's also Harry Potter. In retrospect, it does have to be said that I mostly liked it due to social pressure (read: close friends liked it), but apparently I was knowledgeable enough about this franchise that I counted as a go-to-person for questions. Still, if you want a magic school, Little Witch Academia is definitely the better pic. Or even Winx Club. Probably also other franchises I cannot think about at the moment.

D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t.

Akemi and Akai, and Furuya and Azusa... they just have no flavour to me (and Furuya in particular just doesn't strike me as interested in women... not saying he has to be gay, just - not straight imo)

There are a few pairings I dislike without the "wish you liked" part... which makes this question a lot more difficult. But I suppose I could count Iron Bull x Dorian Pavus into this, as they DO have cute fanart and CAN be read as cute... I just dislike how they started off a lot (dubious consent).

Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go! (Prompts optional but encouraged.)

Okay, here's the thing: I don't recall my first fandom. Detective Conan, Sailor Moon, Digimon, and Pokémon are all animes that I've watched when very young... Pokémon Red, Yellow, and Gold are games I additionally had played back then. I also watched Winx Club, read W.i.t.c.h., and a few other things, but those came later.

I'm still mostly a fan of DCMK, Digimon, and Pokémon - while I still enjoy Sailor Moon, it has since moved to the back of my mind... and well, Pokémon has lost me until the B&W remakes drop (even if I still like it conceptually - I only watch specials, and rarely play anything). Which leaves me with Detective Conan and Digimon, to keep it interesting.

For Z, I would like you to talk about your oldest fandom you're still part of, if that's okay!

I'll die on the hill that Detective Conan should get the Naruto Shippuuden treatment: Just bring Shinichi back. Call it "Detective Conan ~Kudou Shinichi's Return~" for all I care, but it's about time that we see him again. He probably should defeat the Organization, too, but I'd settle for just having him back and coming clean to his loved ones (Ran), who are in danger anyways.

As for Digimon... I've always been of the opinion that Digimon, unlike Pokémon, has a great thing going with its alternative universes. No straight evolution lines, no straight Digi-Destined or Tamers or what'cha-call-its. By making everything AU, you keep your possibilities endless.... now if only they'd make better use of it. Also, in spite of what I just said, I wish they'd just straight up remastered Adventures instead of remaking it/changing it.

15. What was your favourite TV show as a child?

Omfg, I watched far too many shows to choose just one. I think I was most obsessed with W.I.T.C.H. and also Detective Conan (not gonna look for the translation cos you’re Spanish too anyway 😂). Also the Fairy Godparents, Brandy & Mister Whiskers, Hamtaro... and like, tons more. Ask me for any shows in particular if you want to :P

16. What’s the most thoughtful present you’ve ever received?

@paoak once re-told our story using lyrics from different songs to tell everything that happened from the moment we became friends to when we started dating, writing down the lyrics on a bunch of pieces of paper and doodling all around the words. But she took it back after giving it to me cos she hadn’t finished it and she never gave it back *sobs*

17. Would you ever become a vegan?

I do like the idea because I really do hate how the intensive livestock industry works and the way animals are exploited and slaughtered and kept in inhumane conditions. But I also think it has to be a personal choice to become a vegan, and once you start looking into it online, it’s really easy to be guilt-tripped by toxic people who claim everyone but vegans are basically monsters. Also, I have way too many food allergies and intolerances, and having a vegan diet is just unrealistic for me at this point. But I do try to check where the products I buy come from, and I mostly buy my food at the local grocery store.

(And yes, I know “vegan” applies to more things that food! But honestly, at this point in my life it’s not a priority for me to check the ethics of the brand of every single product I buy. Maybe someday.)

18. What social issue would you most like to spread awareness about?

The idea that parents should always be respected and kids owe their parents their lives and should be grateful by principle. I can’t stand the fact that there are so many parents out there who are manipulative and abusive and whose behaviours go unnoticed by the people around them.

I’ve had so many people question my decision of leaving my mother right after acknowledging what I went through, saying things like “but she’s family, she’s still your mother, she’s all alone now, she probably didn’t mean it, are you sure?” Yes. I am sure. Her being my mother doesn’t magically excuse her shitty behaviour. And I wish more people understood this about my situation and that of so many other people that are suffering.

Shitty, awful, abusive parents are a thing. A very common one. And I think we need to talk about it.

Well, I hate shipping wars. I don’t like to see people in the same fandom fighting each other over fictional characters instead of supporting each other. I hate lots of ships and characters ^^ but am friends with supporters of them non the less.

Also when I see that Actors are abused for their roles...WHAT THE F...??? You do realize it is just THEIR JOB, right? Also when the wifes of actors get harassed...Just DONT. They are the good actors they are cause they have their loved ones. Don’t hurt what they love Oo. Why are you doing this?

I cringe when I see people talking about “THE WHOLE FANDOM” in an opinion. NO, it’s never THE WHOLE FANDOM. It might be MOST of it...I tend to be part of the ones that are not part of the opinion. That mostly goes for the Ducktales Reboot Fandom...
