This will both help cut spending on helping anyone who isn't rich, and force more mothers to stay home, reinforcing patriarchal values and destroying womens' ability to have education or careers along with a family. Killing two rights with one stone, for these fuckers.

Of course, many mothers work not by choice but because they have to- because they're single mothers (which there will be a lot more of with Republican abortion bans) or because two pay checks isn't enough (which there will be a lot more of with Republicans gutting Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, probably abolishing minimum wage if they can, hiking prices with tariffs/trade wars, etc). So, I guess those mothers and their children would just... literally die.

I'm still rather fond of my concept of a world of sapient animals that live in an at least semi-naturalistic manner. Not entirely of course, but there's general understandings and treaties and agreements and what's just polite manners. Fuckers arguing over whose watch is wrong because if it's Tuesday hunting is fine because they don't know each other and does arguing about this push them over into knowing each other-

I am quite fond of the idea, and note as I say this I may use it for future worldbuilding endeavors, of governance being within species, or within allied groups of species. So, rather than having Not-North-America where this area is where the deer live and this area is where the wolves live and this area is where the croco-gators live, instead you have the wolf political map overlayed over the deer political map overlayed over the croco-gator political map, and so on.

Just, layers upon layers. A deer country could overlap with three different wolf territories, and have different agreements with each one.

Would make shit a bit of a bitch when you get to like modern age type shit- what is the standard by which everyone interacts? how was it agreed upon- but even that would be an interesting opening for worldbuilding. How many calendars are there, how detailed are they, and which ones do you specifically have to pay attention to, for instance. A wolf probably has to know what's happening on the deer calendar, but probably not on the gartersnake calendar.

Or maybe it's just a few calendars that are standardized, and then species may have their own that just cover important cultural things. Like there may be a greater calendar that everyone agrees on to track the days, regional calendars that are more vague but alert to things like when you can expect breeding seasons or birthing seasons, when certain plants will come into fruit or flower, essentially an almanac, and species specific calendars that say things like 'X holiday falls on Y day this year' or 'vote for Prime Minister on Z day'. Yeah, I think I like that idea. All the layers all the time...

I know NOTHING about Rain World. But I do know that Starscream is a whole ass character archetype. And it all surrounds him being pathetic. I need another word for pathetic because it’s gonna become really repetitive to read and write but here’s why you should vote for the red fighter jet and not the other robot.

1. Starscream sucks. I hate him. I hate him so fucking much. He’s horrible. He sucks at his job, he sucks at overthrowing Megatron, he sucks at everything. The reason why he’s even still alive varies from Megatron just being an idiot to Megatron enjoys watching Starscream constantly fail at everything.

2. He is the saving grace of almost every transformers show he’s in. Why is Armada considered good when it is actually kind of difficult to sit through? Starscream. His friends all leave him and the good guys laugh at him as he has a mental breakdown (Sort of Hotshot just makes a small joke but it’s better if they laugh). He gets abused by Megatron constantly because fuck him but his story is great. I loved watching him plummet and die. TFP starscream is almost better. He’s not but it’s very close. He starves. He gets thrown out. He gets beaten up by Arcee. He can’t afford medical insurance so he begs the autobots for help because he’s a stupid, pathetic, leach on this world. His stupid face in pushed into the dirt by Megatron’s boot. G1 Starscream screams “I’m stupid, I’m stupid!” And I think it might be the most iconic and used quote from G1 but idk. RID15, a show I will never watch, has a small bit where Bumblebee is just verbally tearing down Starscream and laughing at his stupid plans and pain because a fucking sword rejected him. I watched a YouTube short of it. He didn’t even get a YouTube video how fucking pathetic is that? TFA SS gets to die twice and become a head. In cyberverse there is a 3 minute scene where Megatron just beats the shit out of him and leaves him to die on the moon. Silence was her defense. Silence was her defense because her final gambit had failed and speaking further would only endanger what tatters of it remained. She had gone through plans A to D and then when all them had fallen she had gathered the scraps of them all and formed a hasty plan E. A plan Emergency. It was a hopeless attempt. One where she had used sorrow as a fuel to try and get people to believe her out of guilt. When the votes came in, she deflated, and looked at her podium.

"Ae-Ra wasn't the target. That wasn't a lie. i was trying to mix lies and truths in order to make it hard to see what was real. Everyone believed my plan, until Kenshin started poking holes. No grudge though. A little grudge. I'm a little mad about that, but to be fair the plan you broke was not my plan."

She takes a deep breath and looks at everyone. Reaching into her jacket she retrieves her taser and sets it down on the surface in front of her. She wouldn't be using it anymore.

"Give Erisu my tazer. Erik A can help you make a charger for it. or you can find a way to get the one I made either way... My plan had been to kill Erika C. I was going to wait for Ae-Ra to be mid murder, and then catch her in the act right as Erika C was dying. Looking to be dead to anyone without medical knowledge. It takes people a minute to die from most methods. I was going to investigate the body and give her the shot to kill her myself before whatever Ae-Ra did eventually killed her. And tell Ae-Ra that the attack must have given erika a heart attack. Then i would have time to hide the evidence and obscure the shot locations. But the fucking TIME! I was too late and Ae-Ra had already killed the bitch! And, I just... I couldn't let Ae-Ra save her brother."

Eureka began to feel the weight of her loss. Not just here but in what had seemed like a ghost following her throughout her life. No, it wasn't seeming. She truly had been haunted by her family. her mother's specter cursing her. Tears filled her eyes as she continued to speak in a broken anger.

"I'm sorry END. I won't say what you two had was something with a great connection. It was just starting. Basically nothing yet. But I had to make sure. Her hand slams the podium as she shouts. Then she looks to the floor. her eyes are stained with tears but she is not going to cower or buckle. She has too much rage and determination. Even now she was thinking of how to try and escape. She felt no guilt for killing Ae-Ra. She felt no guilt for trying to kill everyone's loved ones. All she felt was hatred, and a despair at her failure.

Ok the brain goblin is going crazy. I might actually write this but for now little ideas I have:

Percy would obviously be the captain.

(Fun fact most pirates were Democrats. Captains, Quartermasters and First and second mates were elected positions with candidates being the best person in the skills needed at sea, modern media has the pirate captain rule over his ship using fear but that was often not the case)

Percy is obviously the best at sea and I can see everyone voting for him more those reasons and even for things like his leadership and charisma. The Captain is also normally the person with the most experience.

I love the idea of him almost growing up at sea with Sally (in my pirate world the pirates aren’t sexist ok guys) and then maybe Sally is forced to give up pirating (probs because of stupid Gabe, dont worry if i chose to include him he will die a wonderful death) and Percy somehow gets back into it.

I got this idea in my head of Hazel being the sweet innocent girl she is but also an absolute menace. Her job is to keep track of inventory and rations, but she is also the ultimate pillager, her ability to steal precious metals is almost magical lol. She would also handle the magic artifacts.

Hazel is kinda getting child of Hermes traits in this lol becuase i want them to get back to the ship after having to flee port quickly without grabbing rations or whatever and everyone is like mother fucker, we didnt get anything and hazel’s like 😏 and they are all like dude and she just dumps out a ridiculous amount of jewels and jewelry, while keeping that “what, i didn’t do anything” kinda look on her face.

Leo is obviously the Carpenter as well as just the overall repair man. He’s also the cook. (Vegan tacos for the win lol)

Piper is the main lookout and works lots with the sails and rigging. She is also very convincing (idk if she has full charmspeak in this since everyone’s powers will be kinda different but she has learned how to manipulate high society people during her time there) She also flirts with all the women when they dock lol.

I picture Leo and Piper growing up childhood besties on land. Piper being from a noble family and Leo’s mom working as a maid or something for Pipers family (because high society still hates women, because high society is run by evil men) but she obviously teaches Leo everything he knows. Leo’s mom dies and Piper over hears her tutors trying to convince her dad to marry her off to someone, so they decide to run away. They somehow meet Percy and join the crew. Also they are both gay because Piper is literally gay in the canon and I have a Valgrace agenda to attend too.

I like the idea of Frank being the Quartermaster (which fun fact Quartermasters are the real right hands to the captains and the first mates are actually below the quartermaster) Frank is a good leader especially once he gains confidence and he is very loyal and I feel like everyone would highly respect him (minus Leo but that’s just Leo being Leo lol) and so I feel like the crew would vote him for the position. I like the idea of Franks mom being a friend of Sally’s and her taking him in when she dies.

Will is the crews surgeon (i know it was semi uncommon for ships in have a surgeon but I don’t care its my pirate world and i do what i want!)

Nico isn’t a permanent member of the crew (until a certain blonde medic convinces him to stay) and he has beef with Percy (cough his pancake sister cough) but also secretly likes being on the ship with everyone.

Now you may be wondering “dude why haven’t you talked about Annabeth or Jason yet?” Well that’s because I’ve decided that they grew up noble (and stayed that way) until the crew of the Argo II kidnaps them lol.

Jason is the son of a very high society noble family. He always had an intrest in the seas but from afar. He is all about impressing his father. He rarely thinks for himself as his main goal is living up to his shity dad’s unattainable expectations of him. Jason is a skilled marksman but on land it is mostly for sport.

Annabeth is apart of higher society but mainly because her father is the head of the royal guard that serves Jason’s family. As part of an agreement Annabeth is allowed to sit in at Jason’s schooling (private tutoring) as long as she keeps to herself. As she gets older they deem it unladylike like so Jason shares what he learns with her in his limited spare time. (She often ends up helping Jason understand it lol) They become close friends from childhood.

Annabeth wants nothing more then to prove herself for what she’s actually worth, not just as a future wife and mother (the things a women is expected to be). She’s the smartest person in every room and she knows it. She hears about a mythical treasure (because women where supposed to be silent she got good at hearing all the insane stuff Jason’s father is dealing in) and she starts to study everything about it and more specifically navigation using astronomy while at sea. Annabeth gets Jason to ask his tutors any questions that she has. So word kinda gets out that this nobleman’s son is asking all the right questions, Percy finds this out and they go and kidnap Jason. Annabeth stows away on the ship, she’s convinced that if she can rescue Jason that people will take her seriously and she will accepted for who she is.

Of course Percy starts demanding that Jason leads them to the artifact and Jason is just kinda clueless and in a moment true to her hubris Annabeth reveals herself from her hiding spot to yell at them about assuming that work was done by a man and stuff like that. Annabeth realizing her mistake in jumping out of her hiding spot and revealing that she knows the info pretty fast lol. So anyways Percy demands that Annabeth guide them, using Jason as leverage. If she misleads them they will kill Jason. Annabeth who doesn’t want her friend to die and has an agenda agrees (after some push back and escape attempts lol)

But soon Annabeth realizes the other females of the crew and how they are just as respected and she starts to love being a pirate (at the end choosing to stay a pirate) and obviously PERCABETH!!!

Jason on the other hand is more of a prisoner and is stuck in the barrocks for the first bit and who has a work desk right by the barrocks? LEO VALDEZ so obviously they grow closer and Jason who has always just gone with what his father said never really considered he could be gay until he’s like oh shit im crushing on Leo. Theres obviously some identity crisis and stuff but once the crew trusts Jason (and Annabeth) more they are given more freedom. Jason during an ambush save the crew with his great marksmanship and it’s definitely a turning point for his character as he deals with all that. He also acts as the moral compass for the crew, and Leo (who has a bad habit of blowing things up)
