Audi Annual General Meeting votes on squeeze-out

A more efficient division of labor and increased Group synergies – as part of the reorganization of competencies within the Volkswagen Group, today’s Audi Annual General Meeting will also vote on a so-called squeeze-out under stock corporation law. This will result in the transfer all the Audi shares of the remaining shareholders to Volkswagen AG, which already holds 99.64 percent of the share capital of AUDI AG. The Audi Board of Management would like to thank the shareholders for their trust and loyalty. The planned structure is intended to strengthen Audi’s role within the Volkswagen Group and to increase the future competitiveness of the Volkswagen Group.

Liputanviral - Audi dikabarkan menunda penjualan SUV listrik perdana mereka, e-tron. Penjualan mundur sebulan dari seharusnya karena ada masalah pengembangan perangkat lunak. Diberitakan Reuters, Minggu (21/10), dari informasi juru bicara Audi, penundaan dilakukan karena perusahaan butuh izin regulasi baru setelah beberapa perangkat lunak telah dimodifikasi pada proses pengembangan. Pada 18 September lalu, Audi telah meluncurkan e-tron di kampung halaman Tesla di Palo Alto, California, Ameria Serikat (AS). Model e-tron memiliki dua motor elektrik, berpenggerak semua roda, punya baterai berkapasitas 95 kWh, dan menggunakan kamera sebagai pengganti spion. Mundurnya jadwal penjualan sebetulnya bukan hal dramatis, Audi berencana menyuplai unit e-tron ke dealer-dealer mereka pada kuartal kedua 2019. Walau begitu bukan berarti tidak akan terjadi dampak negatif dari penundaan itu. Penundaan pertama kali dilaporkan oleh Bild am Sonntag. Surat kabar Jerman itu menyebut peluncuran e-tron dapat tertunda hingga beberapa bulan. Penundaan dikatakan bisa menghalangi rencana Audi mengganggu Mercedes-Benz yang bakal melepas SUV listriknya, EQC, pada tahun yang sama. Media yang sama juga menyebut Audi masih bernegosiasi dengan penyuplai baterai LG Chem. Perusahaan asal Korea Selatan ini berencana meningkatkan harga jual barangnya hingga 10 persen karena tingginya permintaan pasar, hal itu mengancam banderol e-tron. Namun kabar itu masih belum dapat dipastikan karena keengganan pihak Audi dan LG Chem berkomentar. Audi e-tron merupakan salah satu upaya dari grup Volkswagen untuk mengelektrifikasi seluruh model kendaraannya pada 2030 mendatang. Bentley a well known company for its luxury cars and SUVs was founded in London, on January 18, 1919.   According to Bentley Motors they are ”located in Crewe, England and owned by Volkswagen AG since 1998, Bentley Motors remains the definitive British luxury car company, crafting the world’s most desirable high performance grand tourers.” (BentleyMotors). After, reviewing Bentley’s products; the company only offers four different models the best in there class; New Continental GT,  Mulsanne,  Flying Spur, and Bentayga. All of the different types of models can be personalized or upgraded for a premium. In 2017 Bentley sold 4,849 Bentayga a star,  2,295 Flying Spur a cash cow,  2,813 Continental GT Coupé a cash cow, and 595 Mulsanne for a grand total of 10,552 cars and SUVs in 2017.  “ Bentley recorded sales revenue of €1.8 billion in the past fiscal year, a decline of 9.2% compared to 2016.”(VolkswagenAG). Euros to dollars that is roughly two billion dollars! With revue streams of billions of dollars coming through the company has me curious what is the profit margin? With a profit margin of roughly three percent comes to a profit of 60 million in the year.  Bentley’s market audience is global, with a market segmentation of Europe and other markets 48.5%, North America 23.6%,  South America .1%, and Asia-Pacific 27.9%. A great diversification in the global market.
