Since it looks like I’ll be able to go back to the Zoo here in less than three weeks, I needed to get behind the lens a little more. And given I just picked up a decently cheap lighting setup, I thought this would be a good chance to test it and see what I could do.

I’ve got two different shots of each setup, playing with different f-stops and processing techniques. They were shots using my D810 and a Vivitar Series 1 macro focus lens, so these are all manually focused shots as well. I might try to do a little more, in part to practice and in part to see how many different universes my trusty back alley diorama can fit into.
