What is the no makeup skincare routine of Alicia Keys?
So, after much erosion of time and memory, these are the parts I kept (with equivalent products):
Avene Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water spray (keep in fridge, spray) (highly highly recommend. transforming. if nothing else this product changed me. I genuinely Do Not Understand Why but I try not to question it.)
Jade roller (keep in fridge) and add Vitamin C serum with caffeine (couple drops over roller, roll over face) -> the oil I get? but personally I think the jade roller thing is bullshit. Nevertheless, what it *makes* me do is a ritualistic ~paying attention~ to all parts of my face when otherwise I would just blob, swipe, go. And so it works because the roller means I moisturise every part equally instead of just putting a blob of oil on a cheekbone and walking away with a shiny nose and dry spots on the cheeks
Moisturiser base - Alicia's makeup artist's recommended one (a suncream) stopped being made a few years ago, the equivalent I found which gives same results (but not suncream) is Moo Goo's Natural Fast Hydrating Lotion, which has the benefit of also being a full body moisturiser so, less product on shelf = always a win
Add a tiny bit of primer or foundation to the moisturiser base, mix on hand before spreading on face. Again, Alicia's primer not available any more, the equivalents I found is 1) La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo, or 2) my current preferred-> Primp and Prime from The Organic Skin Company
Exfoliate lips once a week, brown sugar
Some mask thing once a week (I used to bother, no more, vague memories of it, no material difference)
A La Roche-Posay lip balm which I tried to google and found it was just discontinued? SOB (literally the only lip balm I have found in my entire life that delivers lastingly non-dry lips. I have this in bulk in my wardrobe. My lips crack to the bleeding. I've had friends say, "oh, but dry bleeding lips are just your aesthetic?" This stopped once I found this product. I can actually wear lipstick if I want without the colour leaching into the cracks like those cracked desert terrain images)
Do peripheral details because they will stand out:
-Do eyebrows once a week, tidy stray hairs
-Do hairline once a week (depends on ethnicity/hairline, mine does filter down into the face-space)
-Use eyelash curler
and lastly, the "no makeup" bit I did have to laugh at and I don't do:
Actually *wear* makeup for the red carpet, comprising tinted primer, mascara, tiny bit of eyeliner, light eyebrow pencil shaping, transculent shiny stuff rubbed on cheekbones, and a very carefully selected concealer for the under eye bags and general real world pigmentation which exists on all skin
The only thing I've added based on other reading, which I also attribute to the aggregate contributing of fixing my previous 25 years plus of weekly skin problems and pimples:
Shave my face once a week using the Avene spray as my shaving 'liquid'. Chin, cheeks, moustache, around eyebrows, monobrow, hairline, all of it. Unspeakably good results. Tiny small facial razor. Razor goes over each piece of skin exactly once, slowly, and use a very very sharp razor so there is no repeated strokes.
(The Avene spray, jade roller + serum, and the strategy of adding teh primer/foundation to the moisturiser to thin it out/improve spread were the true original items IIRC; the rest have adapted over time.)

Hi guys,
We all know I love luxury beauty but there are some drugstore brands out there that are killing the game! Maybelline has been one of my favourite drugstore brands for (literally) years now. I think I started wearing their makeup when I was 16/17 and I’m now 30! So today I thought I would share with you my 3 favourite face base products from the brand.
First off we are starting with my favourite product that is a combo of skincare and makeup, it's the Maybelline Super Stay up to 24H Skin Tint Foundation + Vitamin C, £12.99. If you like a natural, glowy looking foundation rather than a full coverage formula then this is your new best friend. Made with Vitamin C to brighten and treat your skin while you're wearing it , this foundation gives you a natural, weightless finish. I love wearing this tint on days when my skin doesn't need a lot of coverage and this formula is buildable so some days you can wear it natural and other days build up for a medium finish.
Next up we have the glow in a bottle, it's the Maybelline Instant Anti Age Perfector 4-In-1 Glow Primer, Concealer, Highlighter, £12.99. This is Maybelline's multi-use product, not only does it add glow to your complexion but it can be used as a primes, conceals, highlights, and evens skin tone. I love using when alternatively to my Hollywood Flawless Filter, sometimes I'll use under my eyes before foundation to brighten or all over my face to add coverage / prime. I haven't used it as a foundation yet but I've seen some people using it as their foundation which if you had dry skin I think could wear really well.
Lastly, if a glowy face base isn't your thing or you want more of a fuller coverage I think you'll prefer the Maybelline Superstay 30hr Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid 30ml, £10.99. Unlike the previous 2 products this foundation is our matte option for those oily combo people out there. Personally I love this formula because yes it is a full coverage, matte finish but it's made with hyaluronic acid so it's protecting your skin while being worn. Though I love a lot of matte formulas I personally use this one the most because it is also transfer-resistant, water-resistant and sweat-resistant so if you have a problem with your makeup moving, your safe!
So there we go, you don't need to spend lot's of money to get great products and if you're shopping for drugstore makeup I really recommend checking out Maybelline because their newer products are amazing!!! As always all products mentioned are linked above.
Lot's of love,
Bella x x

on: skin care
finding a good skin care regime that works for your skin type is always a hard task. especially if you don’t know where to start, etc. while i only started my skin care journey last summer (2022), i do want to share one or two things with y’all.
never fall asleep with your makeup on: i know it’s tempting and i know it happens to me, too, but if you can, go wash that face! your face will thank you for it
if you have trouble finding your skin type, go for products advertised to sensitive skin: it won’t harm you, it’s without any irritating scents/chemicals and is always a better option than not doing anything ;)
what you’ll def need: (1) cleanser (2) toner (3) moisturizer (4) sunscreen
you don’t need to double cleanse, but it’s still important to cleanse: some people don’t do it in the morning bc the body worked all night to produce important oils for your skin barrier, i for example do wash my face bc it makes me feel less greasy - def cleanse your face in the PM tho to get rid of all the dirt/bacteria/pollution/etc
korean skin care routines tell you to layer your toner(s), but you don’t have to: before i only used my toner once, on a cotton pad, to see if my makeup is fully removed, now i later it 6x. i do see improvements in my skin (it’s more glowy and feels tighter) but you def don’t have to!
serums are always optional: you don’t need them and you don’t have to worry about them. vitamin c is great for if you have dark spots/acne scars/general scars/etc. but you don’t have to use it! i know, a lot of people recommend them but maybe start slowly and then work yourself up
personally, i use a hybrid sunscreen (moisturizer + spf) bc i don’t like the heavy feeling of both layers, but you can def do both separately!
skin care regimes usually seem like hour long procedures and while they do take some time in the AM and PM, you shouldn’t be in the bathroom for 2h. let your layers sit for some time (min 30s to 1min) before going onto the next step to make sure that your skin was able to process some of what you put into it
tip: if you want to wear makeup on the day, do your skincare at least 30min before you put on primer or anything else. this way, your skin is nicely moisturized and happy and can take your primer/foundation/concealer/etc better!

What is your skincare routine?
hi lovely, im so giddy at the fact that you asked this ! :,)
first let me tell you my skin concerns as of lately; closed comedones ( this has been for more then a year now, & im doing everything i can to get rid of them it’s caused scarring because i pick my face unfortunately :/ ) i also have very dry skin, some discoloration due to veins etc.
but the routine;
1. i wash with cerave salicylic acid face wash (to help with the close comedones but i can’t rly tell the difference takes time tho i’m just impatient)
2. then i use thayers hydrating coconut toner
3. i use like four different serums, all applied in this particular order. good molecules discoloration serum, lactic acid, salicylic acid, and mandelic acid— all by the ordinary
4. cetaphil dry to normal moisturizer
5. guasha— 10x on either side of jaw, 30x in total on cheek bones (very extreme ik, but they’re all different techniques)
6. facial spray 3x, mario badescu (don’t get this, i use it cause i have it but it literally does nothing for my skin lmao) & i use a face globe from tarte to help mix everything together once more.
7. more moisturizer, bc i have dry skin and used three different acids. inkey list moisturizer vitamin b,c, & d with inkey list hyaluronic acid serum ( for hydration best if used on wet skin)
8. eye cream, i have one by burt’s bees and from the brand strum that i’ve been alternating b/w
9. and sometimes i’ll use a hydrating primer on top of everything to give my skin extra glow!
ik this is a bit much compared to a simple routine, but it’s what i’ve been doing <3

hi!! i hope this isnt invasive but i saw your post and now im so curious, whats your skincare, hair care, and makeup routine??
omg babe i love u for asking this question<3333
skin care
If I'm wearing makeup then I'll double cleanse! I use the elf holy hydration cleansing blam and then the Cetaphil cleanser for oily skin (if not wearing makeup then only the Cetaphil cleanser)
i use rose water as my toner as all the other toners ive used give my skin a burning sensation which is bad
after that i use a salicylic acid serum at night and in the mornings i use vitamin c serum with a niacinamide sunscreen! I used to use a niacinamide serum but my fungal acne on my forehead got a little bad cause of summer so i switched to salicylic again
then i use moisturizer it's the water based one from Neutrogena it has fragrance tho so im wary while recommending it but i don't have any complaints until now and it makes my skin so plump and fresh!
lastly i use Vaseline on my lips and castor oil on my lashes
Hair care
I oil my hair a night before washing and i wash my hair twice a week i use coconut oil cause i genuinely can't stand the smell of other oils I've tried it gives me a headache 😭😭 but I'm thinking of using grapeseed oil once I'm done with this bottle
i sometimes use a rice water based hair mask if my hair feels very dry
I use the loreal professionel absolute repair hair shampoo and hair mask with protein and gold quinoa, my hair dresser recommended it to me and its working wonders!! Once in a month i use the dandruff treatment I've
After my hair is dried i use a hair strengthening serum from bare anatomy
Before sleeping i just comb my hair and tie it in a loose braid
makeup
okayyy so i start with a silicon based pore filling primer with a matte finish
then i use the maybelline age rewind concealer under my eyes and a little on my cheeks and all and then i let it rest on my face for 2 ish mins and then i blend it with a damp beauty blender
then if i want to wear blush I'll use that and then spray the nyx matte setting spray
then i do my eyes which is just eyeliner, khol and mascara.
Then i use the nyx setting powder and then i almost always either use the wet and wild brown lip liner and elf lip gloss in the shade praline or this berry coloured lip liner I've and the puff lipstick from nyx in the shade moody
if I've to do an eyeshadow look then i just do a smokey eye of some type or like dual coloured basic eye looks like the ones which require the least possible effort 🤭
ok this post is way to long now BUT u asked so <333

Nature’s Elixir: Why Nourishing Face Oil is a Skincare Essential
In the world of skincare, few products have the transformative power of a nourishing face oil. Known as nature’s elixir, face oils are formulated with nutrient-rich botanicals that provide hydration, repair, and protection for your skin. If you’re still hesitant about incorporating one into your routine, here’s why a nourishing face oil deserves a place on your vanity.
1. Deep Hydration for All Skin Types
A common misconception about face oils is that they’re only suitable for dry skin. In reality, nourishing face oils are versatile and benefit every skin type. Whether your skin is dry, oily, sensitive, or combination, the right face oil can balance your skin’s natural oil production and lock in moisture. Lightweight oils like jojoba, argan, and squalane mimic the skin's sebum, ensuring hydration without clogging pores.
For those with dry skin, richer oils like avocado or rosehip penetrate deeply, providing long-lasting moisture. Meanwhile, people with oily or acne-prone skin can benefit from oils like tea tree or grapeseed, which have balancing and anti-inflammatory properties.
2. Packed with Antioxidants and Nutrients
Nourishing face oils are powerhouse products filled with vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids that rejuvenate your skin. These ingredients help protect against environmental stressors, including pollution and UV damage, which contribute to premature aging.
Antioxidants like Vitamin C and E fight free radicals, reducing signs of aging and improving skin elasticity. Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids found in many face oils strengthen the skin barrier, promoting a smooth and plump complexion.
3. Boosts Skin Repair and Healing
One of the standout benefits of nourishing face oils is their ability to support skin repair. Oils such as rosehip and calendula are rich in anti-inflammatory properties that soothe irritation and redness. They’re particularly beneficial for sensitive or damaged skin, helping to heal minor scars, reduce hyperpigmentation, and improve overall texture.
Regular use of face oil can also enhance skin regeneration, making it ideal for people dealing with dull or uneven skin tone. It acts as a natural barrier, locking in hydration and creating an environment where the skin can heal and thrive.
4. A Natural Glow Without Greasiness
Who doesn’t want a radiant, dewy complexion? Nourishing face oils offer a natural glow that no makeup can replicate. Unlike heavy creams, they absorb quickly into the skin, leaving behind a lightweight, non-greasy finish. The key is to choose the right oil for your skin type and use it sparingly—just a few drops are enough to illuminate your face.
When applied correctly, a nourishing face oil can even act as a primer, creating the perfect base for makeup application.
5. Clean, Sustainable, and Earth-Friendly
Most nourishing face oils are made with natural ingredients, making them a clean and sustainable choice. They’re free from harmful chemicals and synthetic fragrances that can irritate the skin, aligning with the growing demand for eco-conscious beauty products.
When you invest in a high-quality face oil, you’re supporting ethical and environmentally-friendly skincare practices while treating your skin to the best nature has to offer.
How to Use a Nourishing Face Oil
Incorporating face oil into your routine is simple. After cleansing and toning, warm a few drops of oil between your palms and gently press it onto your face and neck. For maximum benefits, apply it as the last step in your nighttime routine or mix it with your favorite moisturizer for an extra hydration boost.
Final Thoughts
A nourishing face oil isn’t just another product—it’s a skincare essential. By delivering hydration, repairing damage, and providing a radiant glow, it helps your skin look and feel its best. If you’re ready to elevate your skincare game, embrace the power of nature’s elixir and see the difference it makes.

One of the most celebrated benefits of Vita C is its ability to brighten the skin. It helps inhibit melanin production, which reduces hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and uneven skin tone. Regular use of vitamin C can result in a more radiant complexion, making it an excellent choice for those dealing with dull or tired-looking skin.

Revitalize Your Skin: Why Face Toners Are a Must-Have in Your Routine
In the world of skincare, face toners are often the unsung heroes, overshadowed by moisturizers and serums. Yet, these lightweight, water-based products are a game-changer for anyone looking to elevate their skincare routine. If you’ve ever wondered whether a face toner is worth the hype, the answer is a resounding yes. Here’s why toners deserve a place in your daily regimen.
Restoring Balance to Your Skin After cleansing, your skin’s pH balance can be disrupted. Many cleansers, especially those with harsh ingredients, can leave your skin slightly alkaline, which may lead to dryness or irritation. A face toner acts as a neutralizer, bringing your skin back to its optimal pH level. This helps maintain a healthy skin barrier, which is essential for preventing moisture loss and warding off environmental pollutants.
Deep Cleaning and Pore Minimization Even after using a cleanser, traces of dirt, oil, and makeup can linger on your skin. A toner serves as an additional cleansing step, ensuring your face is truly clean. Moreover, toners help tighten pores, making your skin appear smoother and more refined. By removing impurities that might clog your pores, they can also reduce the chances of breakouts, particularly for those with oily or acne-prone skin.
Hydration and Prep for Better Absorption Hydration is the cornerstone of glowing skin, and many toners are formulated with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, or aloe vera to deliver a burst of moisture. Applying a toner before your serums or moisturizers allows these products to penetrate more effectively. Think of toner as a primer for your skincare routine—it prepares your skin to fully absorb the benefits of the products that follow.
Targeted Benefits for Specific Concerns Toners are no longer the alcohol-heavy astringents of the past. Today’s formulations cater to a variety of skin concerns, from soothing redness to combating acne. For example:
For oily or acne-prone skin: Look for toners with salicylic acid or tea tree oil to control sebum and fight breakouts. For dry skin: Choose hydrating toners with rose water or chamomile to soothe and replenish. For aging skin: Toners with antioxidants like vitamin C or green tea can protect against free radical damage.
A Moment of Self-Care Skincare isn’t just about achieving flawless skin—it’s also about nurturing yourself. Incorporating a toner into your routine adds a moment of mindfulness. The refreshing sensation of a toner, applied with a cotton pad or spritzed directly onto your face, can be incredibly soothing, especially after a long day.
How to Use a Face Toner Using a toner is simple:
Start with freshly cleansed skin. Pour a small amount onto a cotton pad or your hands. Gently swipe it across your face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Follow up with your serum, moisturizer, or sunscreen. Final Thoughts Face toners are more than just an optional step—they’re a vital part of maintaining healthy, balanced, and radiant skin. By removing residual impurities, hydrating, and prepping your skin, a toner enhances the effectiveness of your entire skincare routine. Whether you’re new to toners or looking to refine your skincare game, investing in the right toner for your skin type can make all the difference. Add one to your routine today and let your skin thank you!

Hi guys,
It's been a while since I've chatted about primers on here and recently i find myself reaching for the same brand over and over so today we're gonna chat about them. E.L.F cosmetics has been a viral brand for a long time now whether it's the high end brands they are making dupes of or their viral prime and setting products. Though I don't use a lot of products from the brand I really love using their primers underneath my makeup. So that being said today we're chatting about 3 of my favourites.
First off let's chat about the primer I never meant to actually get, the e.l.f. Hydrating Face Primer 14ml , £9.00. Little story time, I once ordered from Beauty Bay and in my order was the items I picked and then randomly it had this primer and a Beauty Bay blush in my box. Now I never saw a message about gift with purchase etc so I don't know how it happened but I'm glad it did! If you prefer a more hydrating base then this your new BFF, this primer is made with vitamins A, C and E, this hydrating primer helps to create the smoothest canvas for your makeup, while boosting hydration levels. I adore this primer because it makes my makeup glide on effortlessly and lasts all day.
Now let's move on to my favourite primer probably ever, the e.l.f. Power Grip Primer, £10.00. This primer has a sticky base which grips your makeup and makes it last like nobody's business. It is amazing and is a perfect dupe of the MILK Hydra Grip primer but 1/3 of the price. Last year E.L.F took an amazing primer and made it even more perfect by bringing out the e.l.f. Power Grip Primer + Niacinamide 24ml, £10.00. This version of the primer still has all the sticky and goodness of the original primer but this formula is also infused with skincare ingredients. Though I love both versions, my skin feels even more amazing when I wear the newer version.
So there you have it, you don't need to break the bank to get your hands on good primers. I love E.L.F products and seem to be adding more of their products to my makeup collection. As always all products mentioned are linked above.
Lot's of love,

Skincare for Busy Lifestyles: Effortless Routines and Smart Hacks for Healthy Skin
Balancing skincare with a hectic schedule can be challenging, but achieving radiant skin doesn’t have to be time-consuming. At Leafoberryy, we provide simple yet effective solutions that seamlessly fit into your daily routine. Here’s how you can establish a fast and practical skincare regimen with time-saving hacks.
Morning Glow: A Quick 5-Minute Routine
Start your day with a routine that energizes your skin and prepares you for what lies ahead.
• Cleanse (1 Minute):
Use a gentle facial cleanser to eliminate dirt and impurities while maintaining your skin’s natural balance. Tip: Keep micellar water and cotton pads on your bedside table for an efficient cleanse when you’re in a rush.
• Hydrate & Protect (2 Minutes):
Apply a Vitamin C serum to enhance skin brightness and protect against environmental stressors. Finish with a moisturizer that includes SPF to shield your skin from UV rays and blue light. Tip: Use a product that combines moisturizing and sun protection to simplify your routine.
• Moisturize (1 Minute):
Opt for a lightweight moisturizer infused with niacinamide or hyaluronic acid to lock in hydration. Tip: Choose a tinted moisturizer with SPF for hydration, sun protection, and light coverage in one step.
• Quick Touch-Up (1 Minute):
If makeup is part of your morning, select multitasking products like BB cream or tinted moisturizer for a flawless, time-saving finish.
Midday Boost: Refresh Your Skin Instantly
Long hours can take a toll on your skin, but these quick tips will help revive your glow.
• Facial Mist:
Keep a mist containing rose water in your bag for a refreshing pick-me-up. Tip: Store the mist in a cool spot for an extra burst of refreshment.
• Blotting Papers:
Address shine with blotting papers or, in a pinch, a tissue. Tip: Use them sparingly to avoid smudging your makeup.
• Lip Care:
Hydrate your lips with a nourishing balm containing shea butter or coconut oil. Tip: A tinted lip balm adds hydration and a pop of color.
Evening Reset: Rejuvenate in 7 Minutes
Take a few minutes in the evening to restore your skin after a busy day.
• Double Cleanse (2 Minutes):
Start with an oil-based cleanser to remove makeup and impurities, then follow with a gentle water-based cleanser for a deep clean. Tip: Use a cleansing balm and a makeup wipe for a quick double cleanse.
• Targeted Treatments (2 Minutes):
Focus on products that address specific concerns, such as under-eye serums for puffiness or anti-aging serums for fine lines. Tip: Apply treatments while doing other evening tasks, like brushing your teeth, to maximize your time.
• Moisturize & Nourish (2 Minutes):
Use a night cream or serum packed with hydrating ingredients like squalane, bakuchiol, Hyaluronic and skin concern based serums from Leafoberryy to repair your skin overnight. Tip: A silk pillowcase reduces friction and retains skin moisture.
• Extra Care (1 Minute):
Apply a nourishing hand cream or lip mask as ghee as the final step in your routine.
Weekly Self-Care: A 15-Minute Skin Treat
Once a week, dedicate a short amount of time to give your skin additional care.
• Exfoliation:

How to Choose the Right Cosmetics Based on Your Age and Skin Type
Choosing the right cosmetics can be a game-changer, especially when you consider your skin type and age. For Indian women, this choice becomes even more significant because of their diverse skin tones and climate conditions that often require specialised care. The right cosmetics products not only enhance beauty but also ensure skin health, no matter your age. So, how do you navigate through the endless options? Let’s simplify it for you!
Understanding Different Skin Types
Before diving into age-appropriate products, understanding different skin types is key. The wrong products can result in irritation, clogged pores, or an uneven look. Here’s how to identify what works for your skin:
Oily Skin: If your skin feels oily or greasy, opt for matte-finish, lightweight, and oil-free products. Powder foundations, oil-control primers, and setting powders are great for controlling shine.
Dry Skin: Dry skin often feels tight or flaky. Choose hydrating and creamy products like liquid foundations, cream blushes, and lipsticks enriched with nourishing ingredients such as shea butter or hyaluronic acid.
Combination Skin: If your skin is oily in some areas and dry in others, you need a balanced approach. Go for lightweight, semi-matte products. Use a hydrating primer for dry areas and oil-control products for your T-zone.
Sensitive Skin: Sensitive skin requires extra care. Opt for fragrance-free, and hypoallergenic, products that are dermatologically tested. Avoid cosmetics with alcohol, parabens, or strong fragrances to prevent irritation.
Age-Wise Cosmetic Choices
Skin evolves with age, and so should the makeup. Here’s how you can choose beauty cosmetics that complement your skin’s needs at every stage:
In Your 20s
Tumblr media
20s for women are the perfect time to focus on a natural, youthful look.
Light and Minimal Makeup: Opt for BB creams, tinted moisturizers, or lightweight foundations to let your skin breathe.
SPF is Non-Negotiable: Incorporate products with built-in sun protection to prevent early signs of aging. You can either choose sunscreens or makeup products that include SPF in their formulation.
Bright and Fresh Colors: Go for soft pinks, peaches, or subtle nude tones for lips and cheeks to achieve a fresh-faced glow.
Product Recommendation for your 20s:
BB cream - Perfect Match Beauty Balm
Tinted moisturisers - Miracle Glow Moisturiser
Lip Color - Sinful Matte Lipcolor - Luxe Collection (stripped)
Lightweight foundations - 24Hrs Weightless Liquid Foundation
Sun Protection - Face the Sun Broad Spectrum Daily Face Protector
In Your 30s
Tumblr media
As your skin starts showing early signs of aging, choose products that enhance and care for your skin simultaneously.
Makeup with Skincare Benefits: Look for foundations, concealers, and primers infused with anti-aging ingredients like Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, or collagen.
Focus on Coverage: A medium-coverage foundation can smooth out uneven skin tone or fine lines.
Soft Eyes and Defined Lips: Use neutral shades for eyes and lip colors like deep nudes or mauves for a polished look.
Product Recommendation for your 30s:
Primer - Perfect Match Primer
Eyeshadow - Fairytale Eye Shadow
Concealers - Starry Drops Highlighter
Lip color - Starry Flip Lipcolor  (Pout Perfect shade)
In Your 40s and Beyond
Tumblr media
Mature skin requires hydrating and illuminating products to restore radiance.
Hydrating Formulas: Avoid heavy, cakey products. Go for satin-finish foundations and creamy concealers to keep your skin looking dewy.
Primer is Your Best Friend: A good primer smooths fine lines and provides a base for makeup that lasts longer.
Radiant Colors: Choose deeper, richer tones for lips and cheeks, like berry, rose, or plum shades, to add warmth to your face.
Product Recommendation for your 40s:
Primer - Flawless Finish Primer
Blush - Sinful Blush Liquid Wand
Highlighter - Sinful Glow Highlighter Wand
These were different types of cosmetics for different age groups. Now let’s have a look at some of the best tips that will help you choose the right product.
Key Tips for Choosing the Right Products
Always Perform a Patch-Test: Indian skin can be prone to sensitivities due to environmental conditions. Test Indian cosmetic products on your wrist or jawline before use.
Warm Undertones Work Best: Most Indian skin tones have warm or neutral undertones. Choose shades with golden, yellow, or peachy hues to complement your look.
Read the Ingredients: Avoid products with harmful ingredients like alcohol, parabens, or synthetic fragrances, especially if you have sensitive skin.
Skincare First: No matter your age, healthy skin is the key to flawless makeup. Follow a proper skincare routine to prep your skin before applying cosmetics.
Conclusion
Choosing the right cosmetics tailored to an individual's skin type and age doesn’t have to be complicated. From a minimal, natural look in your 20s to hydrating, radiant makeup in your 40s, the right choices can help you look and feel confident at every stage of life. Remember, makeup isn’t about covering up; it’s about enhancing your natural beauty. When you embrace your age and skin type, every look becomes timeless.
