#Villain!Deku Cult AU

The average Reverse Falls AU takes are always so interesting because the gimmick is that Mabel and Dipper are mirrors of Gideon and Pacifica. So you'd think they'd lean more into the "comedic, southern little guy psychic" and "Rude girl who does mean, yet outlandishly rich things" angles--but they're moreso depicted the way my hero fans see Villain AU Deku where they're drawn with cult imageries and suits and ties and vests.

I'd love to rp BakuDeku!! I just lost an rp partner who I was doing a lot of MHA AU rp with and I got a taste for it! I don't write a lot unfortunately, but I do my best. I can promise to write a few sentences per response

I have a ton of ideas I really want to try! Mostly I want to do AUs, maybe use a couple OCs I have? I can play most characters except for AFO, All Might, and Endeavor

It's where Izuku is the demon king and Katsuki is the hero. In this world human adventures can be revived endlessly by the Mana Tree so it's like a video game. But of course Izuku is in love with Katsuki and doesn't want to hurt him

Fantasy AU Villain Deku

I was thinking that we start off with Izuku being a normal village boy but runs into Tomura. They talk for a bit and later Tomura basically revives the demon king AFO in his village and everyone blames Izuku because he's the village scapegoat. He's treated very badly until he's pushed to the breaking point and Tomura or AFO comes to literally talk him away from a cliff

Alice in Wonderland

I had an idea where Izuku would fall down the rabbit hole as a kid. But once he's there the world naturally starts to force him to take on a role. Unfortunately since the King of Hearts has eyes on him...that means Izuku slowly starts to become the Prince of Hearts. His hair becomes white and his eyes will change to red. Once the transformation is complete he won't be able to return home. Izuku is trying to avoid the King of Hearts and find a way to go home while keeping his memories of the real world. A sequel would be him returning to Wonderland as an adult because his mother is dying and he could find a cure there but he faces similar perils and that his reality is starting to merge with Wonderland!

Lovecraftian Cult AU

Izuku Midoriya is a humble police officer in a small town. One night his long lost childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugou comes to him. Izuku is discovered to be the son of an Eldritch Abomination, the King in Yellow. Izuku is then taken to a commune where he is worshipped as a god like entity. Confused and frightened he tries to adjust to this new reality as his powers confirm that their faith is much more than the ravings of lunatics. At the same time he must perform his duties as a guardian of his followers and interact with surrounding cults in the area while the Cult of All for One plots the end of the world...

What do y'all think of the idea of Quirk Fasting in relation to the Cult Leader Deku AU?

For clarification here are some examples (this was self researched and might not be 100% accurate):

In the Mormon Church, the first Sunday of each month, members are required to abstain from eating and drinking for two meals (usually breakfast and lunch) and encouraged to donate money, called a fast-offering, to 'help the poor and needy'.

In the Catholic Church (and I think some other branches of Christianity) there's Lent which is kind of like a form of fasting, which starts on Ash Wednesday and ends on Easter. On both Ash Wednesday and Good Friday adults up to 59 or 60 are required to fast and everyone 14+ must abstain from meat consumption on all Fridays during lent. On top of that members are encouraged to give something up for the 40 days and 40 nights of lent.

For Jewish people, there are day long fasts on Yom Kippur, Tisha B'Av, Tzom Gedalia, The Seventeen of Tammuz, and the Tenth of Tevet.

In Islam, Ramadan is a month long period of reflection in which the people refrain from eating and drinking during the daylight hours as well as complete abstinence from sexual relations.

Fasting is typically seen as a spiritual discipline across many cultures, and unfortunately that includes dangerous cults. It isn't uncommon for fasting to appear as form of behavioral control (like in the BITE model) masking as spiritual practice in many cults.

So my thought is... after a little while getting established, Midoriya and Overhaul come to the conclusion that they need to exact a little more control over the actions of their members and so one day during a congregation Midoriya announces that he has been concerned with society's reliance on quirks and how they have been used, against the will of god, to destabilize society and put down and bully those that that are seemingly weaker. He states that he has been praying fast and hard, reflecting on the problem when "god came to him in a vision and gave him a command". That command being that he now required a time of reflection and understanding - paid in deference to the people who had come before God's gift of Quirks. And as such he commands that for the last three days of every month, his people must fully abstain from quirk use.

Or something like that. I think this would be really interesting to explore in terms of the heroics course and how frustrated Aizawa and All Might would potentially be about some weird arbitrary rule like that. Aizawa would probably rub his temple and reorganize the schedule to have quirkless sparring on those days, but I feel like All Might would just try and be like "you guy's aren't being very plus ultra right now". It would also be interesting to explore in terms of important events, what if the provisional licensing exam was during a quirk fasting period? or part of the internships? how does that affect the plot.

Oh man, thank you! <3 Honestly, I love all my au's but my top faves at the moment are JASTTL(Just A Step To The Left), Viridian Cult, Quirkless Hero, and TwistedVerse.

JASTTL is fun cause it's mostly a cannon rewrite au but I get to make OFA way more haunted, and I like writing cryptid plots. Plus since in JASTTL Aizawa is aware of OFA by the end of day one Deku gets two mentors to argue about quirk junk with

The Viridian Cult au is funny because it didn't start as a cult it just kinda happened? it was supposed to just be a vigilante au lol. but at some point, while writing I went "hey this sounds like a cult lol" and then went "hey wait what if I made it more culty and just made it a running joke?" and then I did because it was funny.

Quirkless Hero is more like JASTTL in the cannon but from a dif perspective situation, mostly just cause Deku is in the Gen ed course for almost half of the plot so he misses out on stuff like the USJ incident and isn't involved in any of their exams, he gets almost everything hero class related second hand from Uraraka and AllMight so it's interesting to write.

and Twisted Verse is just a mess tbh I'm actually currently reworking it because every time I sit down to figure out this au I end up making a new file on it and writing a completely different story the only real continuity is that AllMight is a villain in this universe, and Deku is still his successor, and still wants to be a hero, so he goes to U.A anyways even though he's like pseudo adopted by a supervillain. VillainMight is still a better pseudo-father than AFO. (AFO is also still a villain in this AU too)

What if Deku was a girl and was AFOs daughter. But she didn’t know that an went to UA like normal. Shiggy, however, loves her and wants to bring her back with him (surprise adoption!) and be a good big bro. I find the interactions of “SISTER! JOIN ME!” And “IDK WHO YOU ARE PLEASE GO AWAY!” Are hilarious. She’s totally convinced that he’s just crazy and try’s to stay away from him. “SISTER! COME BACK WITH ME!” “Who’s that-“ “I don’t know him.” “IZUKU!” “I don’t know him.”

Aw, the idea of Deku as a girl is kind of adorable! I don’t think much would change early on as far as the base story goes, outside of their meeting at USJ as well as how the summer camp arc would go down... also, Shiggy being much more friendly with her at the mall incident lol

I got rather attached to this idea, so here’s that silly one-shot I mentioned based on it. I did this as a warmup between writing sessions for the next chapter of Paradigm Shift lol. (and to be clear, this is its own thing and isn’t an AU to PS :y)

At first, she was afraid when the villains abducted her from the summer camp training exercise. Why another attack, so soon after the first one? Were these villains enemies of All Might’s who had discovered her secret?!

Then, as she was pulled through a rather familiar-looking portal, Izuku finally recognized the man behind her abduction and groaned with despair. “Oh, not you again!”

Shigaraki was there waiting on the other side of the portal, practically bouncing on his barstool at the sight of her. He beamed behind the severed hand covering his face and exclaimed with delight, “Oh well done everyone! Well done! Welcome home, Zucchini-chan~!” Immediately, he spread his arms wide and went in for a crushing bear hug, pressing her face tight to his very distinctly unwashed shirt.

“Ugh, stop it with that stupid nickname! And when was the last time you took a shower?!” She gagged out, hardly able to breathe. This greasy maniac had been stalking and sending unwanted invitations to her asking that she join his merry band of hooligans because she bore some resemblance to their “shadow leader” nonstop since USJ, and now it seemed he had decided to forego asking and graduated to straight up kidnapping! God, why hadn’t she called the cops when she had the chance?!

Izuku flailed and struggled against the overgrown annoyance’s hold as the others quickly secured her hands in some kind of quirk suppression device, and her unwanted big brother finally plonked her down in a nearby chair. “Now, then...” the villain continued, hands on his hips, “What do you want your villain name to be, and what kind of costume design do you want to go for? I’m thinking more black and red, maybe with a killer bunny aesthetic if you wanna keep the hoodie.”

Izuku thudded her head back into the chair behind her as she stared up at the ceiling with a hiss of exasperation through puffed out cheeks, forcing herself to count to 10. This couldn’t be happening... why her, of all people?

With a harsh edge of irritation to her voice, she began to explain for the third time of what she was unfortunately certain would be many, “Okay. For the last time, I am of no relation to your stupid prankster ‘supervillain’ boss. Whoever you think I am, I’m just a normal hero student with a normal background. No secret villain relatives, at all!” When the man continued to look unconvinced, she stomped her foot and snapped, “Ugh, why won’t you leave me alone?! Why are you so obsessed with the idea that I’m some relative of your boss’s? I’ve told you a million times, I already have a loving family!”

Izuku felt some relief at the tears that sprung to Shigaraki’s eyes as he seemed to finally accept the reality of the situation, only for him to sob out, “She does accept us!! She thinks of us as family!”

Wait, what?!

Applause broke out among the assembly of villains, those not on board with the idea grinning maliciously at her discomfort as if it was the funniest slapstick routine in the world. “That settles it, you’re staying here with us from now on. I’m sure your mom won’t mind you staying with your dad for a bit, we’ll just have someone pop in to grab your things when she’s out of the house.” A bubble of panic began to rise in Deku’s chest; they really weren’t going to listen to reason, were they? And just because they’d gone out of their way to cause her no harm didn’t mean she was at all comfortable with one of these loons being in her house or around her mom!

“We’re keeping her?!” The girl who’d excitedly threatened her with a knife earlier squealed with delight, as if she’d just been told that the adorable puppy she’d brought in out of the rain for the night would be joining the family.

“No, no no no! H-Hold on!” Izuku exclaimed, alarm lacing her tone, “My dad’s just a normal salaryman, not a cult leader, honestly!”

“Exactly!” Shigaraki shrieked as he waved his arms, “It’s the perfect cover!”

Deku groaned and nearly broke her nose in an impulsive attempt to face-palm with the restraining device on. This was going to be a long, long night...

Throughout all of this, All For One said nothing on his side of the monitor. As the chaos on the other side of town unfolded, he just pinched the area where the bridge of his nose had once been and let out a tired sigh. From behind him, the doctor patted his shoulder sympathetically.

Maybe adopting Shigaraki had been a mistake, after all.

BNHA Quirkless!AU notes

All Might is the best actor! Many people look up to him. 

He plays the role of “All Might” in the “All Might” series.

Because of all the makeup and special effects, he isn’t noticed in real life. However, can always sound like All Might!

Midoriya wants to become an actor and be on stage with All Might!

He isn’t a very good actor though, and is constantly teased by Bakugo. 

He meets Toshinori and gets special help from him. His improvement in his abilities and confidence shocks Bakugo.

Bakugo also wants to become an actor and beat Midoriya. 

He loved the All Might series, but isn’t a huge fan anymore because of Midoriya.

Very talented! However, he always finds himself playing a villain role.

He’s scared of Midoriya’s growth and aims to become better than him. 

On the side, he works at a bar where he meets Mina, Kirishima, Denki, and Sero. 

Kirishima runs a very successful bar.

Hired his best friends and gives them a good salary. He’s loved by almost all of his patrons. 

He always does his best to entertain and keep everyone happy! He’s well respected in and outside of work. 

Becomes Bakugo’s (only) friend and supports his careers and decisions. 

Only gets mad when people start fights or berates his friends.

Mina is an aspiring makeup artist for the movie industry, and works at a hair salon and Kirishima’s bar. 

She is absolutely terrified of Bakugo, but supports him. 

Sero is working on raising his double-sided tape business. He’s doing his best.

Denki also works as an electrician, which pays a lot. He just goes to help Kirishima and to look at girls. 

Got kicked out of the bar multiple times for flirting and slacking off. However, Kirishima’s very forgiving and lets him back in. 

Yaoyorozu is a very famous fashion designer, but she’s quite provincial. 

Humble about her fame and income. 

Works well with Jiro when it comes to making commercials.

Handy with every tool thrown at her. Picks up skills easily. 

Works with Aoyama as well.

Aoyama is a male fashion designer.

Works well with Yaoyorozu.

Jiro is a famous rock musician that has released over fifteen different albums.

All of them made a ton of profit. 

She can work with any genre of music, but she mostly focuses on rock. 

Has a good ear for music. Owns a music studio in the city. 

Koda has opened many pet adoption centers, and has many pets of his own.

People call him the “animal whisperer,” and sometimes ask him to read their pet’s minds. It’s a mystery whether or not he can actually read them. 

Tsuyu is on a team of synchronized swimmers. She excels in the sport, and is knows as “The Graceful Frog.”

Trains her pupils every Saturday and Sunday at the public pool. 

Tokoyami runs a cult. What’s the cult? Who knows...

Mineta is a failure that attempted to work in the prn industry. He’s swimming in pools of debt. 

Todoroki is a famous writer, and doesn’t want to become an actor like his father is pushing him to be.

He trains with Midoriya and Bakugo, and Midoriya suggests writing movie and play scripts so he’s technically studying acting but not really.

He takes Midoriya’s advice to heart and writes an amazing “All Might” sequel with a boy named “Deku” as the main character- played by Midoriya. 

Makes Bakugo the villain. 

Ojiro works as an architect. 

Hakagure makes makeup tutorials. She’s amazing, but isn’t noticed all that much. 

Iida is a professional runner. 

Has competed in the Olympics and won gold.

Becomes friends with Midoriya and Uraraka online.

Uraraka is an astronaut in training- will be blasting off towards the moon very soon!

Likes Midoriya’s acting and fully supports his goals!

Just curious.

good morning evening everyone, and welcome to another Wednesday episode of “makeste tries to answer asks from two months ago while on the bus.” this one is a bit of an interesting challenge since it involves ranking and that always takes me a long time, but as you said, I did have an ongoing ranking of the arcs in my head, so we’ll see. at the very least the ones at the beginning and end shouldn’t be too hard, and you can probably guess them already. (in fact, you actually did.)

(ETA: yeah this took me two sittings to do, so I ended up posting it on the ride home lol. I just like BnHA you guys. almost as much as I like talking about how much I like it!)

okay so here goes.

14. Basement arc - yeah so let’s just go ahead and get this over with. this is the one and only BnHA arc that I actually dislike. fortunately it’s an outlier and suffered from a bunch of one-time issues, most of which stem from the fact that Horikoshi was apparently trying to write a longer and darker arc than usual. well he succeeded! and thankfully learned his lesson. and at least this arc gave us Eri and Mirio and some good Kirishima flashbacks and Chekov’s Quirk-Be-Gone bullets and the Highway to Hell. hopefully the anime can improve on the rest.

13. Provisional License arc - okay, so it might surprise a few people that this arc is all the way down here. let me explain. this is a perfectly fine arc, and I like it well enough, but it’s a bit longer than it needs to be, and not that much happens in it aside from our introduction to best boy Yoarashi Inasa, and the Great Toga Conspiracy (which is admittedly excellent). there are some great moments (Aoyama doing his best impression of “THE BEACONS ARE LIT” from RotK comes to mind), but overall it’s fairly forgettable, and it suffers from being placed directly in between my two absolute favorite arcs, which means I have a tendency to overlook it, which isn’t really the arc’s fault.

12. Hero Killer arc - this one is interesting because I really lost patience with it during my first read-through, but strangely enough when I watched it in the anime I actually really enjoyed it. it was also much shorter than I remembered. I’ve belatedly realized that reading it while doing commentary really slowed me down, because for the parts that I wasn’t feeling, doing the commentary took a long time and also left me dwelling on a lot of the things I didn’t like. but in actuality, Stain’s Annoying Rants aside, this is a pretty enjoyable arc full of Big Hero 6 flashbacks, hot revenge-driven Iida, Gran Torino’s introduction, Deku learning full cowl, Bakugou’s Best Jeanist internship, and Todoroki saving Deku and Iida’s lives by being glued to his phone when he really should have been paying attention to his own internship. get off that social media already Shouto.

11. USJ arc - this is a great arc, but it just feels small compared to everything that happens afterward. but it’s fun to look back on because there are lots of little hints for future developments to come. the traitor theory, for instance. and this is also our introduction to the League and to Tomura and the Noumu. and that final fight between All Might and the Noumu is still one of my favorite scenes in the whole series, especially in the anime. it’s so fucking good you guys. shit.

10. Intro arc - just FYI, I lump everything from the first chapter up until USJ into one arc since it’s easier. anyways, so this is roughly on the same level as USJ, but gets a slight edge because there are some iconic moments here. namely, the first chapter (which is still one of the best shounen intro chapters I’ve ever read, if not the best); Kacchan VS Deku 1; the entrance exam; and our introduction to the rest of class 1-A, particularly Ochako and Iida. oh, and Aizawa! gotta love how he starts out all ready to expel some bitches only to wind up falling in love with the whole class. fatherhood agrees with him.

9. Band AU arc - I actually love this arc. I just love all of the ones above it on the list a bit more, and I can’t really justify it being any higher than this. but it has The Band and the Babysitting Squad and Mirio being the best big brother in the world and Eri being just ridiculously, astonishingly cute. Gentle and La Brava are also great villains, if not quite my favorites. there are a few questionable plot holes in the arc, and it lacks any sort of big impact on the rest of the series, but it’s basically a canon filler arc and it’s so much fun and I can’t wait to see it animated.

8. Fanfic Lodge arc - you guys this arc started out so fucking cute and ended up so fucking tense. and this was our intro to the League of Villains proper, including Spinner, Twice, Tuxedo Mask, the prodigal Todoroki son, and my best girl Toga. Deku VS Muscular is still hard for me to read (his liiiiiiiimbs) but it’s one of Deku’s best moments regardless. and the angst at the end of the arc is almost unparalleled. god I love it.

7. Final Exam arc - a.k.a. the one where all the kids team up with each other to shoot their teachers in the fucking face. this arc has it all: Momo character development, Bakugou character development, TodoMomo, BakuDeku, and Aizawa being a total badass. (and All Might too, but he’s kind of overkill tbh. which is its own kind of awesome though.) there’s so much good stuff in this arc that this description is a bit vague because if I got any more specific we’d be here all day. it’s just a lot of good stuff that I like.

6. Joint Training arc - dudes I love this arc so much. class B and their array of ridiculously awesome quirks! class A and their impeccable teamwork! Bakugou joining the OFA Scooby Squad and showing off his new WIN AND RESCUE COMBO! Monoma! Shinsou!! SIXQUIRKS!!! god there’s so much great content.

5. Endeavorhawks arc - this arc would be even higher except that it’s a bit short (though it’s perfectly paced, so that might actually be a plus) and it doesn’t feature as many of my faves. but Hawks’s intro + our intro to The Great Noumu Conspiracy + Todoroki Family Drama + some of the best character development I’ve seen in a shounen manga (god I still can’t get over what a ballsy move it is to try and redeem Endeavor) = solid gold. and it’s so well done. and caps off with one of the best plot twists in the series to date, which sets up what promises to be one hell of an interesting arc later down the line. just. it’s so good. possibly the best-written arc to date, even if it doesn’t quite top my list.

4. My Villain Academia arc - and this isn’t even done yet!! and it’s still already this high!! Tomura flashbacks! Toga flashbacks! TOUYA FLASHBACKS???! (we’ll see??) creepy cults! my new favorite character One-Handed Giran, the biggest badass in the whole fucking series! worldbuilding for days! Dr. Robotnik! more Noumu shit! etc. etc. this arc has been non-stop goodness and I almost feel spoiled at this point.

3. Sports Festival arc - the most fun of all the arcs. I have rewatched the cavalry battle in the anime like a bazillion times. there used to be this show on Nickelodeon called Wild & Crazy Kids where kids teamed up for all these zany competitions (water balloons were usually involved), and I fucking loved that show, and parts of this arc kinda have that same kind of spirit. it’s just fun. and then to top it all off we have our Shouto character development, as well as Bakugou’s little character arc that he also has which is excellent. not to mention what is probably Ochako’s most badass moment to date. love it.

2. Kamino arc - guyyyys where do I even start? this arc is perfection. good VS evil. All Might taking a stand even when he’s got nothing left in the tank, because the world needs him and he won’t let them down. the sheer visceral terror of AFO’s introduction. my favorite character getting fucking kidnapped and being brave AF and his friends rallying to save him yesssss. and the reveal of All Might’s secret, which is arguably the most powerful scene in the series. I get chills every time. “my heart is still the heart of the symbol of peace.” if All Might had announced at that moment that he was starting a new religion I would have been like “yeah okay.” I would follow him to the ends of the earth. how can one man be that selfless and brave. anyways this arc is absolutely incredible and objectively one of the best in all of shounen.

1. Deku VS Kacchan Part 2 - nothing to see here, just two boys who’ve known each other since they were in diapers, who’ve done everything together and have always been together but have never actually understood each other until now. just the two of them finally opening up to each other, because the one who always tried to act so tough actually isn’t that tough, in truth, and in spite of everything, he trusts the other enough to let his guard down around him this one time. just two rivals, sorting out their shit and figuring out what it all really means. and their dad, helping to facilitate the whole thing because he knows that one day, somewhere down the road, this bond between them will mean absolutely everything. is this really even an arc?? it’s only like six chapters, and only one event actually takes place. but do I care?? yeah, no. Deku and Kacchan’s relationship is the series to me, so yeah. to me it counts as an arc. and not just any arc, but the best arc.

so there you have it! I hope I haven’t accidentally left something out lol. but this should hopefully be a pretty definitive list, at least for now. looking back at all of this really makes it sink in just how good of a story this is, though. damn.

In my version of the villain au, Deku never uses Todoroki; he only tells him that his anger could be put to good use. He figured that not only will Todoroki’s strength be beneficial to their little cult, but to also to pull the other into the light and make him see the truth about heroes. Deku starts caring about Todoroki the more they work together, but the moment Todoroki showed how dark he can actually be, it definitely pulled his heart strings. Todoroki did everything else on his own.

It’s similar to how things went in canon, only much more darker and twisted lol

They talk for a bit and later Tomura basically revives the demon king AFO in his village and everyone blames Izuku because he's the village scapegoat. He's treated very badly until he's pushed to the breaking point and Tomura or AFO comes to literally talk him away from a cliff

Alice in Wonderland

I had an idea where Izuku would fall down the rabbit hole as a kid. But once he's there the world naturally starts to force him to take on a role. Unfortunately since the King of Hearts has eyes on him...that means Izuku slowly starts to become the Prince of Hearts. His hair becomes white and his eyes will change to red. Once the transformation is complete he won't be able to return home. Izuku is trying to avoid the King of Hearts and find a way to go home while keeping his memories of the real world. A sequel would be him returning to Wonderland as an adult because his mother is dying and he could find a cure there but he faces similar perils and that his reality is starting to merge with Wonderland!

Lovecraftian Cult AU

Izuku Midoriya is a humble police officer in a small town. One night his long lost childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugou comes to him. Izuku is discovered to be the son of an Eldritch Abomination, the King in Yellow. Izuku is then taken to a commune where he is worshipped as a god like entity. Confused and frightened he tries to adjust to this new reality as his powers confirm that their faith is much more than the ravings of lunatics. At the same time he must perform his duties as a guardian of his followers and interact with surrounding cults in the area while the Cult of All for One plots the end of the world...

this isn’t even getting into the sheer hilarity of dropping msa izuku straight into canon during the sports festival, right at the moment izuku wins first place in the race. which is actually such an incredibly funny concept that i am probably going to write it in the near future, at which point you can witness me pandering to myself, exclusively

A villain Deku and villain Bakugou AU

So I came up with this awful Quirkless!Izuku AU thanks to a dream I had

So it starts out like how you expect - Izuku takes All Might’s reject seriously and ends up not going to UA. As you can imagine, the following all happens thanks to dear Deku not being in the thick of it all -

Bakugou gets worse - because no Izuku being around when he's attacked by the slime monster means it took so much longer for someone to finally help him (and as it turns out, near death experiences don’t help make you a better person - in fact they make you pissed off and cynical. Plus no Izuku to “suddenly show him up” when they’re at UA does nothing to quell down his ego when he sees there are students who are better than him).

The USJ incident ends...well, the less said the better.

Todoroki’s situation is worse because because no “It’s your power” pep talk. He’s a fixture in the nurse’s office due since using his ice side only has messed up his health.

Iida and Kouta are dead because no Izuku means no one notices they’re in trouble and goes to help them.(Which also means Stain’s still around)

Speaking of Stain, he now has his own cult, thanks to the League’s attack giving him free publicity through his murder of Iida during)

UA’s reputation is basically one foot in the gutter and the other in the grave because all these screw ups have basically destroyed public opinion of them. They’re currently down to 1/3rd of their original student body because parents have been pulling their kids out left and right thanks to all the scandals.

Like the only good things that happened are that All Might ends up giving OFA to Mirio as he is running low on time and hasn’t found a proper successor out of any of the current first years and the League of Villains fading into obscurity thanks to Stain and Overhaul rising notoriety allowing them to scoop up potential members from under them (Which pisses Shigaraki off to no end).

So yeah, things are bad and awful and Izuku feels awful about them but what can he do - he’s a useless, quirkless, Deku. Then during what was supposed to be a short trip downtown, he runs into this tiny little girl with a horn barreling out of an alleyway, asking for help.

Now his brain, the girl’s guardian, and the pro-hero in training Lemillon are all tell him to quietly butt out and let things go, and he knows he should comply, there’s nothing he can do for her (”You can’t be a hero”).

But...

But the poor girl looks at him like she’s begging for help, and despite forcing himself to give up his dream of being a hero, Izuku never really broke that poor habit of jumping in to help when he wasn’t wanted.

Overhaul is not pleased, and Mirio is wondering if this kid’s crazy.

One messy Alleyway brawl, a falsely given name, and a small misunderstanding from a curious bystander later, and the Pro-Heroes, Overhaul’s gang, Stain’s followers, most of UA Class 1A & 1B, Bakugou, and The League are scrambling all over Japan to get their hands on the mysterious green haired villain “Deku” who apparently is involved in an incident involving Overhaul and hero in training Lemillion. Meanwhile, poor Izuku finds himself on the run with a terrified Eri in tow, Overhaul’s gun in his hands, and Mirio blood all over his favorite All Might hoodie.
