Hang on! The Costa Terre Club homes arent even BUILT YET! by u/Ruth_Lily
Hang on! The Costa Terre Club homes aren’t even BUILT YET! First of all, like I said, this was a scratch-my-back I’ll scratch yours purchase for Eugenie’s husband Jack. Yes, they’re all in deep with each other.But what I’m finding is that the Costa Terre Club homes are not even built, yet!Yet we have Paris Hilton, buying a plot of land for $1m (a few weeks ago)https://ift.tt/HmJshpn AI again, this was written in 2021 but still”The Costa Terra homes, which are expected to be operational in the next few years, are priced from 4 million Euros. At the moment, 229 villas are still being marketed, which could represent an additional 930 million Euros.”NOT OPERATIONAL!NOT OPERATIONAL!WILL BE OPERATIONAL IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS!As I stated before, this is a development that could go belly up. They may have bought a plot of land but there’s no residences there. They probably did this to help Jack & Eugenie, because Portugal has over 700,000 empty residences ( see my previous comment)This is Jack’s one job, he’s supposed to sell these residences, and Portugal is no longer a hot spot, people are walking away from deals in Portugal, and Portugal’s housing might be going through a dot flop era.TLDR: there’s no home, there’s a plot of land, nothing will probably come of it. It helps Jack but it’s a nothingburger post link: https://ift.tt/pWwqcs5 author: Ruth_Lily submitted: October 16, 2024 at 11:55PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit disclaimer: all views + opinions expressed by the author of this post, as well as any comments and reblogs, are solely the author's own; they do not necessarily reflect the views of the administrator of this Tumblr blog. Like any other family, royal families can either be super conservative in their baby names, or buck tradition entirely. Either way, we can’t help but see them as trendsetters whenever their offspring are announced. Whether we’re talking about the British monarchy or the royals of Europe, Africa, and Asia, there is one thing these parents have in common (um, besides wealth and power) — the names they choose for their children are full of meaning. Whether they use a handful of middle names hearkening back to past monarchs or first names chosen to denote virtues or religious tenets, royals do not mess around when it comes to naming the future of the nobility. And while it might seem stuffy or old-fashioned to all of us commoners, it’s a tradition not taken lightly. Even if your baby isn’t going to have four middle names and a hereditary title, scrolling through royal names is a great way to find inspiration for your baby name list. That, too, is something of a tradition — see the many Georges, Victorias, Williams, and Elizabeths you know and love. We highly encourage looking a little deeper into the royal family tree, and at the royals around the world, for names that are a little more unexpected. How about an Alexia, Leonor, or Hassan, for instance? Moulay or Sverre? And hey, unlike royal families, if you don’t want to name your firstborn after a multiple-times-great grandfather or a centuries-dead monarch, at least you won’t end up causing an international scandal. A version of this story was published in 2021. Alexander, Gabriel, Julian, and Ines Image Credit: Michael Campanella/Getty Images Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden are the proud parents of “a perfect little quartet.” Their eldest son, Alexander, has a moniker that typically means “defender of man” in Sweden. The name “Gabriel” also has Swedish ties and means “strength from God.” Julian’s name means “youthful.” And their youngest daughter, Princess Ines, has a gentle moniker that means “kind,” “innocent,” “meek,” and/or “chaste.” Athena Elizabeth Rose Image Credit: Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty Images. In Jan. 2024, Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo “Edo” Mapelli Mozzi welcomed baby Athena Elizabeth Rose. Her middle name is in honor of her great grandma Queen Elizabeth II, and “Athena” typically refers to another powerful matriarch — the Greek goddess of war and wisdom. Sienna Elizabeth Image Credit: Dave Benett/Getty Images for Make-A-Wish UK In Sept. 2021, Princess Beatrice and Edo welcomed their daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi. “Elizabeth” is once again a nod to the late monarch and is also Beatrice’s middle name. As for “Sienna,” the name has Italian roots and was likely chosen as a nod to Edo’s heritage. He is an Italian aristocrat and the heir to an 18th-century villa about an hour outside Milan. Edo is also dad to son Christopher “Wolfie” Woolf who he shares with ex Dara Huang. Princess Iman of Jordan Image Credit: Jordan Pix via Getty Images. Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and Princess Rajwa of Jordan welcomed a baby girl in August 2024 and gave her the same name as her paternal aunt — Iman. The name has Muslim roots and means “faith” and “belief.” August Brooksbank Image Credit: Chris Jackson/Getty Images Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank are the proud parents of two sons who don’t have royal titles but are members of the royal family nonetheless. He is affectionately known as “Augie,” a sweet nickname that just so happens to mean “deserving of respect.” Ernest Brooksbank Image Credit: Dave Benett/Getty Images The couple’s second son is Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank. “He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald,” Princess Eugenie shared in the birth announcement, referencing King George V, her mother’s father Major Ronald Ferguson, and her husband’s late father George. Ernest means “serious, determined,” and, like his brother, Ernest has an affectionate nickname. The little boy — who was the first member of the British royal family born after the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the coronation of King Charles III — is called “Ernie.” Lucas Tindall Image Credit: Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty Images On March 21, 2021, Princess Anne’s daughter and Queen Elizabeth’s eldest granddaughter Zara Tindall gave birth to Lucas Philip, her third child and first son with husband Mike Tindall. Princess Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor Image Credit: Chris Jackson/Getty Images for the Invictus Games Foundation Prince Archie’s little sister, Princess Lilibet Diana, is named after two paternal ancestors. Their firstborn’s name is August Philip Hawke Brooksbank. His name honors Prince Albert, Prince Philip, and Reverend Edward Hawke Brooksbank. August means majestic dignity and grandeur. Lucas is from the Italian district of Lucania and also means “light.” Philip is a nod to both Mike’s father, Philip Tindall, and Zara’s grandfather, Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. Prince George of Wales Image Credit: Mark Cuthbert/UK Press via Getty Images Prince George’s full name is George Alexander Louis. The name George has a long history in the British royal family — he will be the seventh king named George, the most recent of whom is his great-grandfather, Queen Elizabeth II’s father George VI. George means farmer and is derived from the Greek Georgos which translates to “tiller of the soil.” The name Alexander is a nod to his late grandmother the Queen, whose full name was Elizabeth Alexandra Mary. The name Louis (the ‘s’ is silent) is Prince William’s middle name and is also likely an homage to William’s late uncle, Lord Louis Mountbatten. Princess Charlotte of Wales Image Credit: Chris Jackson/Getty Images Princess Charlotte’s full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. The name Charlotte is the feminine version of Charles, after Charlotte’s grandfather, Prince Charles. Elizabeth is a reference to Charlotte’s great-grandmother, the late Queen, and Diana is in honor of Prince William’s mother, the late Princess Diana, who died in 1997. Prince Louis of Wales Image Credit: Getty Images Prince Louis’ full name is Louis Arthur Charles. The name Louis, which is one of Prince George’s middle names as well, is in honor of the late Lord Mountbatten, who died in an IRA bombing in 1979. Arthur is a Welsh name and means “bear.” And Charles is in honor of the young prince’s grandfather, King Charles III. Prince Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor Image Credit: Toby Melville/Pool/Samir Hussein/WireImage Prince Archie is the son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. His full name is Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Meghan and Harry strayed from tradition in choosing the name Archie, as it’s not associated with any royal, living or dead. It is a short form of Archibald, which means “archer” or “truly bold.” Mountbatten-Windsor is the surname used by male descendants of Queen Elizabeth who are not given a hereditary title. Princess Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor Image Credit: Chris Jackson/Getty Images for the Invictus Games Foundation Prince Archie’s little sister, Princess Lilibet Diana, is named after two paternal ancestors. Lilibet was a nickname for her late great-grandma, Queen Elizabeth II, and the young princess’ middle name honors her late grandma, Princess Diana. Lilibet is a blend of “Lily” (the flower) and “Elizabeth,” and Diana means “luminous” or “divine.” James, Viscount Severn Image Credit: Getty Images James, Viscount Severn is the only son of Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex. His full name is James Alexander Philip Theo Mountbatten-Windsor. Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor Image Credit: PA Images via Getty Images Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor is the daughter of Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex. The name Louise has several etymologies and means “famous or renowned warrior.” Mia Grace Tindall Image Credit: Samir Hussein/WireImage Mia Grace Tindall is the oldest daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall. Zara is the daughter of Princess Anne and is the Queen’s granddaughter. Mia is a name of Latin and Hebrew origin, considered either a form of Maria or the female form of Michael. Lena Elizabeth Tindall Image Credit: Samir Hussein/WireImage Lena Elizabeth Tindall is the second daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall. Lena has many origins (Greek, Hebrew, Latin) and is considered a short version of names such as Magdalena and Helena. It is said to mean “light.” Savannah Phillips & Isla Phillips Image Credit: Antony Jones/GC Images Savannah and Isla are the children of Peter Phillips, the Queen’s oldest grandson and son of Princess Anne. Their names mean “from the open plain” and “from the name of a Scottish river.” Prince Christian of Denmark Image Credit: Mark Cuthbert/UK Press via Getty Images Prince Christian is second in line to the Danish throne after his father Crown Prince Frederik and his full name is Christian Valdemar Henri John. The name Christian follows a Danish royal tradition of the heir apparent being named either Christian or Frederik. Valdemar has a long royal tradition as well, dating back to before the 14th century. Prince Christian’s name is in honor of Danish King Valdemar IV who ruled from 1340 to 1375. The name Henri is in honor of his paternal grandfather and John is after his maternal grandfather. Princess Isabella of Denmark Image Credit: Ole Jensen/Getty Images Isabella’s full name is Isabella Henrietta Ingrid Margrethe. She is named after her ancestor Isabella of Austria and her maternal grandmother, paternal great-grandmother, and paternal grandmother. The name Isabella is of Italian origin and means “God is my oath.” Prince Vincent of Denmark Image Credit: Ole Jensen/Getty Images Prince Vincent’s full name is Vincent Frederik Minik Alexander. The name Vincent is of Latin origin and means “victorious.” It is a popular French name and is likely a nod to his grandfather’s French heritage. Frederik is from the royal tradition of naming princes either Frederik or Christian. Minik is a popular name from Greenland Inuit origins which translates roughly to “viscid train oil which is being used as sealing for skin boats.” And Alexander means “defender of the people” and is of Greek origin. Princess Josephine of Denmark Image Credit: Martin Sylvest Andersen/Getty Images Prince Vincent’s twin sister Josephine’s full name is Josephine Sophia Ivalo Mathilda. The name Josephine is of French origin and means “may Jehovah add.” Sophia is Greek and means “wisdom.” Ivalo is a Greenlandic name meaning “tendon, thread, sinew” and Mathilda means “battle maiden.” Prince Emmanuel of Belgium Image Credit: Patrick van Katwijk/Getty Images Prince Emmanuel’s full name is Emmanuel Léopold Guillaume François Marie. The name Emmanuel is of Hebrew origin and means “God with us.” Leopold is in honor of his great grandfather, Leopold III, and Guillaume is a reference to his godfather, Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg. His parents chose the name Francois because Emmanuel was born on the Saint’s Day of St. Francis Assisi, and Marie is in honor of the Virgin Mary, which is a tradition in the Belgian Royal Family. Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant Image Credit: Patrick van Katwijk/Getty Images Princess Elisabeth is the heir apparent to the Belgian throne, and her full name is Elisabeth Therese Marie Helene. The name Elisabeth is in honor of her paternal ancestor Queen Elisabeth of Belgium, wife of King Albert I, while Therese refers to her maternal ancestor, Polish Countess Teresa Sobanski. She was demure and elegant in a flowing gown – he looked dapper and debonair in a tailored navy suit.
So pity the poor bride and groom whose lavish Caribbean nuptials were overshadowed by such glamorous guests.
Then again, if you will invite Prince Harry and his actress girlfriend Meghan Markle to your wedding, what do you expect?
All eyes were on the young lovers as the prince attended the wedding of friend Tom ‘Skippy’ Inskip at the weekend in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Not having seen each other for a fortnight, Harry, 32, and 35-year-old Meghan used the trip as an excuse for a romantic reunion – and their affectionate behaviour set tongues wagging that it might not be long before they, too, are walking up the aisle.
For Meghan, the surroundings are not entirely unfamiliar.
In 2011, she married her first husband – film producer Trevor Engleson – at a resort just 60 miles along the coast. So, is she feeling the love second time around?
We reveal exactly what the young couple got up to on their romantic West Indian weekend...
He flies in economy, while she takes a private jet
Harry arrived in Jamaica on Wednesday to join the groom’s party ahead of the big day – he was one of 14 ushers.
The royals don’t use private planes for personal engagements, so he took a Virgin Atlantic flight from Gatwick to Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.
The prince did splash out on a premium economy seat, costing upwards of £2,000 return.
Meghan flew in the following day from Toronto, where she’s filming US legal drama Suits, in a private jet that belongs to a friend.
Ever the gentleman, Harry picked her up from the airport, greeting her with a kiss before they drove back to the hotel together.
The luxury resort where JFK stayed
With 110 acres of lush tropical gardens, suites designed by Ralph Lauren and its own private bay, the wedding reception venue is the perfect backdrop for royal romance.
The Round Hill Resort was built in the 1950s as a series of luxurious cottages for rich and famous visitors. Guests have included JFK and Jackie Kennedy, who spent their honeymoon here.
Grace Kelly, Fred Astaire, Clark Gable, Sir Paul McCartney, and Emma Watson have also stayed.

A hotel worker revealed that Meghan and Harry stayed in a £5,000-a-night premium luxury villa, the resort’s most exclusive accommodation away from prying eyes, which comes with its own housekeeper, two pools and a games room with a bar and pool table.
Ever watchful of their safety, security guards were stationed in rooms nearby.
Guests have breakfast served on their balcony, and options include Jamaican delicacies such as ackee (a fruit like a lychee), saltfish with fried dumplings and callaloo (a leafy green vegetable).
It’s quite a change from Meghan’s first trip to the island during her low-key wedding in 2011.
She and her husband-to-be stayed at the four-star Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios, where they indulged in drinking games and wheelbarrow races before saying their vows.

The (other) very happy couple
It takes a brave bride to invite glamorous, leggy Meghan to your wedding. But flame-haired Lara Hughes-Young didn’t seem bothered about being outshone.
Lara, 30, a software developer at global technology company ThoughtWorks, knows Harry through her new husband ‘Skippy’, who went to Eton with the prince.
She’s the granddaughter of late Conservative MP Michael Hughes-Young.
Her father holds the title Lord St Helens – making her official title the Honourable Lara Inskip.
She is said to have been ‘singing Meghan’s praises’ since meeting her last year.

They may have been the focus of attention on the day, but Megan and Harry were far from the only notable guests at the wedding.
Harry’s aunt Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, was on the list, accompanied, insiders say, by her daughter Eugenie.
After the ceremony, a smiling Fergie, wearing a black minidress with a jewelled neck, was seen posing for photographs with Pastor Conrad Thomas, who officiated the ceremony.
Archie Soames, one of the ushers, is the great-grandson of Winston Churchill. Maid of honour Alice St Clair Erskine is an actress who portrayed the Duchess of Cambridge in the 2011 American TV show William and Catherine: A Royal Romance.
Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt is rumoured to have popped in for the party.
Trying not to upstage the bride
For the ceremony, Meghan chose a £1,200 floral print maxi dress by Canadian designer Erdem.
Harry opted for a bespoke navy suit, believed to be from his favourite Savile Row tailor Gieves & Hawkes, and teamed with a yellow rose.
Meghan accessorised her elegant attire with a nude clutch bag and a pair of £249 gold-rimmed sunglasses by Dior to shield her eyes from the hot Jamaican sun.
The bride did her best to stay in the spotlight in a breathtakingly simple white satin gown with a plunging neckline and full, flowing skirt – a direct contrast to Meghan’s high-necked style.

Meghan's tender touch for her prince
Meghan placed a protective arm on Harry’s back as she steered him out of the church and guests say the pair were very tactile throughout the reception as she was introduced to his old friends.
At one point they were seen deep in conversation, as a jacketless Harry drank a beer and Meghan an Aperol spritz cocktail as she continued to rub his back.
Minutes later, she moved even closer, gazing into his eyes and putting her arms around his neck.
‘They are both head over heels and don’t care who sees it,’ said an onlooker.

Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary
Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary was born on December 24th, 1837 as Duchess Elisabeth Amalie Eugenie to Duke Maximilian and Princess Ludovika of Bavaria. Elisabeth was called Sisi. The majority of her childhood was spent at Possenhofen Castle in Bavaria, Germany. Aside from her parents unhappy marriage due to her fathers affairs, Sisi and her seven (surviving) siblings had a relatively happy childhood. Sisi enjoyed being outside the most. She would swim in the lake and go horseback riding. Below is presumably the first photo taken of Sisi when she was a little girl.
Emperor Franz Joseph l’s mother Archduchess Sophie, also Ludovika’s sister, had contacted Ludovika and told her than Sisi’s older sister Helene would be engaged to Franz Joseph. Franz and Helene were set to meet at the Kaiser villa in Bad Ischl. Ludovika decided to take Sisi along with them to help Helene adjust to the imperial lifestyle. Sisi was 15 and Helene was 18 at the time. Below is an image of Helene as a young adult (maybe 18-19)
Franz Joseph was not known for disagreeing with his mother, much less defying her. Imagine the courts surprise when Franz decided to marry Sisi instead of Helene. Franz and Sisi’s engagement was announced 5 days after they’d met. On April 24th, 1854 Franz and Sisi were married in Vienna. Below is an image of Franz Joseph and Elisabeth.
The Hapsburg court was known for being strict, formal, and steeped in tradition. Sisi was shocked when her life of freedom became a prison of protocol and formality. She never did adjust. Sisi had a horrible relationship with her mother-in-law. Archduchess Sophie believed that the Empress’s only duty was to produce an heir for the throne. Sophie believed that the Empress should never be involved in politics or affairs of the state. Sisi did not agree. She was adamant about improving the lives of the people in the Italian and Hungarian parts of the Austrian Empire and would regularly try to influence her husband. Below is an image of Archduchess Sophie.
Even through the suffocation of Sophie’s constant pressure for a baby boy, Elisabeth did have four children. Her first was a baby girl, Sophie, born on March 5th, 1855. Her mother-in-law took the baby away from Sisi and named her after herself. Sophie refused to let Sisi take care of her baby. Then, Sisi had another baby girl, Gisela, on July 15th, 1856. Again, Sophie took the baby and Sisi couldn’t care for either of her children. The tragedy wasn’t over yet. In 1857, Sisi and Franz took a family trip with the girls to Hungary against the advice of both Sophie and the court physician. Both the girls became sick and Princess Sophie died. This caused Sisi to fall into a deep depression. Franz and Sophie brushed off her behavior. However, Sisi gave birth to another baby, but this time it was a boy. On August 21st, 1858 Crown Prince Rudolf was born. Rudolf was taken from Sisi and was raised by tutors at the age of 6. Sisi was blocked from the education of her children. In 1867 Sisi and Franz were crowned King and Queen of Hungary. A year later, Sisi gave birth to Marie Valerie on April 22nd, 1868. Below are images of Sisi’s children in order of birth.
Sisi had very little control over many things in her life. However, one thing she did have control over was her body. She dieted constantly and became obsessed with her beauty. That’s how she kept her slender waist that she’s very famous for. Sisi spent a ton of time in Hungary with her youngest child. Sophie hated Hungary and this allowed Sisi to raise Marie on her own. Sophie died in 1872 and Sisi was finally free from her mother-in-law. There is one tragedy that Sisi would never get over. In 1889 Rudolf was found dead with his mistress which was done by their own hands.
On September 10th, 1898 Sisi was killed by an Italian Anarchist while boarding a boat in Geneva. She was stabbed in the heart and had not realized what had happened to her. She died a few hours later.

Large wooden shutters filter light and air into Mallorcan home by Company Studio
Spanish practice Company Studio has completed a family home in Mallorca featuring large wooden shutters that allow the living spaces to extend onto a south-facing garden and pool.
Alaro House, named after the historic Spanish town in which it sits, was designed by the local practice to reflect the area's traditional typology at its northern end, contrasted by a more modern form and garden to the south.
Top image: Alaro House is surrounded by a white perimeter wall. Above: the home has a pool at the rear of its garden
These two halves of the home are united by a central, double-height courtyard garden, which is glazed on all sides and planted with a small tree.
"These types of townhouses usually have two bays that frame the volume, and sloping Arabic tile roofs," the studio said.
"The project has included a third bay and a new sloping roof, twinned with the originals through an interior patio."
Wood battens were used to form bi-folding shutters
On the ground floor, a garage sits to the north of the home while a large living, dining and kitchen area sits to the south, benefitting from the light from the internal courtyard and the garden.
Above, four bedrooms and two bathrooms are organised around the central courtyard, wrapped by a small landing area that filters light and provides privacy. The main bedroom opens onto a private south-facing terrace overlooking the garden.
Rooms are organised around a central courtyard
The front maintains the strict composition of shuttered openings typical of the area, while at the back of the home the openings are expanded, with large glass doors covered by accordion-style iroko wood shutters.
These shutters allow a range of different relationships to the exterior to be created on both floors of the home, permitting just light or air or completely opening the spaces to the outside.
"This mechanism allows us to create multipurpose spaces," said the studio.
"The porch closes and becomes part of the bedroom in summer, or we can divide the living room but keep the kitchen open to the garden."
Wood battens line the staircase referencing the home's shutters
In the garden, which is surrounded by a high white-rendered wall, two concrete seating areas at either end are connected by a stepping-stone walkway that crosses a pool.
A steel and branch canopy shelters the patio at the end of the garden.
A palette of neutral materials has been used in the interiors, with a polished concrete pavement on the ground floor contrasted by warmer oak wood flooring in the bedrooms and a microcement finish in the bathrooms.
The kitchen occupies the rear of the home
A double-height run of vertical oak beams referencing the shutters creates a balustrade for the staircase, which sits at the western side of the home.
Another Mallorca-based practice, Isla Architects, recently completed a rough, red mortar-covered home in the island's Pla de Mallorca region, while OHLAB created a standalone villa for a hotel with a window designed like a cinema screen.
Photography is by Eugeni Aguiló.

Christmas & New Years at Sandringham House

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝐻𝒾𝓈𝓉𝑜𝓇𝓎
Sandringham House is Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Country Estate in Norfolk. In the 1960′s, Queen Elizabeth’s & her children would celebrate Christmas at Windsor Castle. Starting in 1988, Windsor Castle was being rewired, so the Royals traveled to Sandringham for Christmas. The Sandringham Estate is set on 24 Hectares (59.3 Acres) of Garden.
Every year before the stay at Sandringham begins, Queen Elizabeth takes an empty pre-scheduled carriage of the train to from London to King’s Lynn Station in Norfolk. In the Carriage is Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, & Immediate Staff. The rest of the British Royal Family will arrive at a specific time on Christmas Eve, depending on their status. Junior Members arrive first & Important Members (Prince Charles & Camilla, The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge & their children, etc.) arrive last.
After all family members have arrived at Sandringham, the Estate can be quite crowded. Due to The Sandringham Estate not being as large as other royal family residences, some family members end up staying in the staff quarters. Staff will transfer from their normal quarters & live in either estate cottages or surrounding villages.
𝑀𝒶𝓇𝓇𝒾𝑒𝒹 𝒞𝑜𝓊𝓅𝓁𝑒𝓈
When the family arrives to the Sandringham Estate, the only family members invited to Sandringham are Married Couples & children. For example, before William & Catherine were married in 2011, the now Duchess was not allowed to attend Christmas at Sandringham. Mike Tindall (Husband of Zara Tindall) or Jack Brooksbank (Husband of Princess Eugenie) were not invited to Christmas at Sandringham, until they were officially married to their wives. The only Royal Member of the Family who has broken this protocol, is Megan The Duchess of Sussex. She attended Christmas at Sandringham, during the year she became engaged to Prince Harry Duke of Sussex.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝑅𝑜𝓎𝒶𝓁 𝒞𝒽𝓇𝒾𝓈𝓉𝓂𝒶𝓈 𝒯𝓇𝑒𝑒𝓈
The First Royal Christmas Tree was introduced to Sandringham House by Her Majesty Charlotte The Queen. The Tradition was kept going by Her Majesty Victoria The Queen & her husband His Royal Highness Albert Prince Consort. The Tradition of having a Christmas Tree has continued onto this day & Queen Elizabeth will let her grandchildren & great grandchildren help decorate the trees.
The Royal Family has a Large Christmas Tree & also a 30 year old Large Silver Artificial Tree in the Dining Room at Sandringham. All the Christmas decorations stay up until February to honor Queen Elizabeth’s father, King George VI who died on Wednesday, February 6th, 1952.
(You can see a Christmas Tree Behind the Queen during her annual Christmas Broadcast)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
𝒢𝒾𝒻𝓉 𝒢𝒾𝓋𝒾𝓃𝑔
The day of Christmas Eve, each member of the Royal Family will lay out the presents they bought on the trestle table. The gifts are then exchanged during the Afternoon Teatime, when Prince Philip says everyone is allowed to open their gifts. The British Royal Family do have a sense of humor when it comes to giving each other gifts. Members will sometimes give each other joke presents! Example: Kate Middleton once gave Harry a “Grow Your Own Girlfriend” one year! Harry also gave his grandmother a shower cap with the saying “Ain’t life a b**ch.”
♕ 𝐹𝒶𝒸𝓉: Her Majesty does her Christmas Gift & Decorations Shopping at Harrods! The store would stay open after hours so that Queen Elizabeth could shop on her own.
♕ 𝐹𝒶𝒸𝓉: The family’s favorite treat during their Afternoon Christmas Eve Teatime is the Jam Penny Sandwiches. The Jam Penny Sandwiches are jam filled sandwiches that are cut into circles the size of an old English penny. (Size Reference Below)
Besides family, The Royal Staff are even given Christmas gifts from Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip! The week before Christmas, the staff are taken into one of the State Apartments, the Head of Staff announces his annual report of their yearly performance, & the staff are then given their gift. The staff can choose between receiving a gift token or a book token, but in order to receive their gift they must be qualified. Just like the rest of the families around the world who celebrate Christmas, the British Royal Family have Christmas meals together. Before the family arrives at Sandringham, each member has to practice their French because the Lunch & Dinner menus are in French. Guests are allowed to bring a dish if they choose to.
♕ 𝐿𝓊𝓃𝒸𝒽: After a morning of reflecting at Church, the family will join together for a big lunch. The Lunch includes Salad with Shrimp or Lobster, Turkey (2 Turkeys that are each 25 pounds), Parsnips, Carrots, Brussel Sprouts, & Christmas Pudding with Brandy Butter.
♕ 𝒟𝒾𝓃𝓃𝑒𝓇: After a long day of festivities, the family will once again join together for a big dinner. Unlike the Christmas Lunch where you order your food, Christmas Dinner is a buffet! Dinner includes Rib Roast, Turkey, Ham, & other delicious dishes. Before dinner begins & the family goes inside the dining room, the senior chef must carve whatever meat is served, present the Queen with a glass of Whiskey, & the Queen says a toast to the family & staff. Children are not allowed at Dinner until they are of proper age of behavior, so the young ones are sent off to the nursery.
