1850s english manor - historically accurate

Hi! Here's the build I've been working on for the past two weeks. I've made plenty of homes for working-class and somewhat well-off folks, but I hadn't shared a mansion yet, so I was really excited to get this one done. It took me a lot of effort, and I had to cut back on the CC usage and simplify the interiors so Tray Importer wouldn’t crash when exporting the CC.

Anyway! This grand house features a beautiful garden, an entrance hall worthy of a mansion, and a library-living room that leads to the drawing room and dining room.

There are two full floors of bedrooms and bathrooms. The master bedroom is on the top floor and is split into two with a small hallway in between, so the lords of the house can sleep in their respective beds as tradition demands.

There’s also a nursery and a room for toddlers. The mansion boasts a large greenhouse and a full floor dedicated to the staff, where you'll find the kitchens and the servants’ quarters.

Welcome to the 2011 modern Victorian Jurassic Park/Creepy House in La Grange Highlands, IL. 5bds, 4ba, 5,756 sq ft, $1.595m. Don't know how many of the decorative touches, if any, come with it.

Some frogs lounging around by the front door.

I see a zebra in the living room.

I can't get over this spiral staircase going straight up to the belvedere on top of the house.

In the kitchen they have a little house in a display case on the table and a goose that you can dress up on top of the fridge (I have one, too).

The kitchen's lovely, though.

Long, narrow library with an arched ceiling. And, a little gargoyle. Notice the dinosaur peeking in the window.

Nice, roomy TV room/home theater.

Shelving in the hall. Look at the spiral post on the stairs. So, you can take the spiral stairs to the stairs.

Not sure if this is the primary bedroom.

Look at the shape of the toilet. I hope that corner doesn't stab you in your back. Nice blue bowl sink.

This large room belongs to a child. Very interesting spaces in here. It looks to me as if this should be the primary.

These can't be the same stairs from main floor b/c they start here, so there are several of them.

Pink bedroom has a large walk-in closet.

Thru the closet there appears to be a turret room w/a little dragon.

Door to a balcony- must be a Halloween display.

This bath features a urinal.

That can't be the same zebra. Anyway, this is a pool room.

Couple of gargoyles in this bedroom.

And, this bath has glass block walls.

I would expect the toilet paper holder to convey.

The spiral stairs in this house. This is probably the fake belvedere at the top. It's got very little space to get to the bench, what if you stumble and fall over the railing?

This is beautiful.

There's another dino out in the garden. Looks like he's holding a weapon.

And, a small triceratops inside the fence. .36 acre lot.

Hi everyone!　First of all, I must apologize. Regarding my previous post about "Victorian Sunset Valley", I deleted it because there was a problem with the save file. There is no problem with the empty world.

I'm really sorry to all the simmers who downloaded, liked, reblogged and commented.

It seems that the problem can be solved by separating the save files, so I decided to share it again. There are no changes to the empty world, so if you have it, please try again.

❖Empty World There are just a Public Lots, a Farm District, and Goth Manor.The two hilltop mansions don't exist yet. This is Sunset Valley long before Mortimer Goth was born.If there is a historic town you have in mind, you are free to build it here.

※An empty world requires the store item "Artemis Temple Frieze (Muse Luxury)".

❖Save files You can enjoy the Victorian era right away, but there are no film careers, universities, or diving spots. There are a few empty plots, so feel free to add them.

This time, I did not build any houses. I only built some public lots, but I changed the color of the buildings I shared before and placed them. The Equestrian Center of EA is very conspicuous, so I built a small racetrack. There is a fire station of EA next to it, but it does not blend in with the scenery very well, so I am thinking of rebuilding it someday.

The address of @ri-el's Sherlock Holmes residence is 221B Baker Street. I wanted to place this residence on the main street, so I set the lot size specifically. Then I placed the lot built by @nornities to match the cafe next door and the stairs leading to the harbor across the road. The harbor is a bit of a tourist area, with trade ships, sightseeing ships, and passenger ships arriving and departing. Some Sims may come to see the steamships, so I prioritized placing it here. There are also lots of great builds by other creators included. Thank you.

Every house has some sort of vehicle (either a horse-drawn carriage or a historic bicycle), and the sight of so many carriages going around town is truly impressive!

It looks heavy, but if you can play the EA Store worlds then I don't think it will be an issue.

Basically, it is a town for enjoying historical play such as the Victorian or Edwardian, but I think it can also be enjoyed in normal play.

The decoration is minimal, so feel free to edit it however you like and have fun.

Lupine Cottage

A CC Free Victorian Beachside Cottage

This build will be familiar to all of you who have downloaded Antiquated Brindleton, where it's previously been released as a cc-lite build. This build is really no fun to play without Romantic Garden, so in honor of it being free to download I wanted to release a cc-free version of it. It also gave me the chance to refresh it with some of the new assets we've gotten since then, and it's turned out so well.

This lot is potentially my favorite build I've ever done and I'm so in love with how it's turned out here. Even if you have the previous one, I'd certainly give this version a try, because humbly; I think it's better.

I'm not sure how many of you will recognize this lot, or have already, but it's based off the cottage from the children's book Miss Rumphius, which tells the tale of the lupine lady who spreads lupine seeds along Maine's roadways in the early twentieth century. You can see the inspo pics below as well as a shot of lupines in Maine in the spring, where they really do look like someone rode around just throwing seeds as they went. I highly recommend the book for any history lovers the illustrations are beautiful.

Lupine's are unfortunately not native to Maine and are considered invasive, so loving them does come with a smidgen of guilt, but luckily we don't have that problem in Sims.

I picture this cottage as the perfect home for your loner, spinster characters, and that's exactly who lives there in my save. This lot is in some ways a love letter to Maine and Brindleton Bay as I see it. So please enjoy.

This build is appropriately furnished for the late nineteenth to early twentieth century; no indoor plumbing and lots of candles. It's really only suitable for one sim as built, but could probably be edited quite easily for a couple. Fully playtested.

Please, please, please tag me if you use this lot, it's got a special place in my heart.

Very Victorian

It wouldn't be a walk through residential architectural styles without a grand old Victorian, would it? I'll call this a Queen Anne, even though 1) I'm terrible at remembering the differences between different types of Victorians and 2) I'm pretty sure we will never have enough Victorian ornaments to do one justice! (Seriously, after all these years, it's base game and a sprinkling of carpenter gothic from StrangerVille?)

This Victorian is very grand and very old, though it has seen some updates, most notably the primary bedroom's en suite and the kitchen, which has been expanded to extend into what would have originally been a formal dining room. The two floors could quite easily be broken up into separate apartments with a dividing wall and second door added to the front entrance, if you're looking for that sort of thing, but then of course you'd have to give the whole thing a coat of gloopy white paint...

This home might be perfect for: a well-off family (or previously-well-off family), pastel goth vampires, the ol' landlord special
