MASTERLIST

My oddly specific Nathan Prescott headcanons

After doing Warren it felt wrong not to do Nathan right away, since they're both my favorite characters in lis1.

I'll probably post a grahamscott hc post soon too, which will probably tie these two posts together a bit more (hint hint)

ps. the themes are kinda all over the place, sorry for that lol

• Listens to all kinds of music, but mainly classical, It's calming.

• 100% dog person, he wouldn't want to be found dead with a cat. Cats hate him just about as much as he hates cats.

• Has a tendency to wear the same clothes for long periods of time, without actually noticing that it's gross

• Man abuses the shit outta deodorant and cologne though so nobody notices. He only changes once Victoria points it out lol

• Him and Victoria are childhood friends, and their families are very close

• He has a facination for oldtimers (old cars). Which is the exact reason he has a beat chevy pick up instead of your average rich kid car

• Begged his mom to ask his dad for a chevy instead of a sports car

• Which brings me to: mommy's boy :)

• He loves his mom, even though he's ASS at showing it. He checks in with her at least once a week.

• Tends to start his day with two whales diner breakfast. If he doesn't go to the diner his day usually ends up being at least 25% shittier than usual. Maybe joyce just brings luck.

• A CHEM MAJOR ‼‼ (pls im 99% sure this is canon pls take notes)

• Has been interested in art and photography since he was a kid, but his father never praised him for his art. He wasn't allowed to attend art school in the end, so he opted on taking the chemistry course at blackwell

• He usually insults people when he doesn't actually mean it, and if you don't react to his insult angrily he'll probably apologise

• "The fuck you want u tard!?"

"I'm..... i'm sorry i didn't mean to call you that,"

• A s u c k e r for old movies and music, but doesn't really have anyone to watch them with

• He also enjoys horror a lot, particularly the gory kind (Think of japanese horror movies or for example the saw series)

• He owns the entire junji ito collection

• He likes to photograph subjects that are close to death or have been in direct contact with death, just so he can forget about how much he actually wants to die himself

• He gets anxious really easily, he tends to fidget a lot and struggle with sitting still (bouncing leg and picking at his fingers)

• Freckles!!! like all over his face and collar bones

• Overthinks like, everything he does/says

• Which is why he usually tries to not talk to people outside of his circle too much

• A sucker for disney movies, but he's never admitted that to anyone, not even Victoria. His sister knows, since they used to watch them together as kids

• Quite a picky eater, which is why he tends to stick with the same order for nearly every restaurant he goes to

• Can't really handle big changes well, so he sticks to the same people to hang out with and the same routine each day

• Can't sleep unless it's completely dark and completely silent

• Knows how to play the piano

• Doesn't use social media much, because he doesn't really need more negativity in his life than he already has. He only uses it to check Victorias page or online shopping

• He does enjoy his alcohol/drugs, but he knows his own limit (and he also clearly knows when he's purposfully crossing it)

• A complete sucker for stargazing, even though he knows absolutely nothing ab astrology

• Hangs out at the lighthouse a lot to cool down after a long week, smoke a cig and listen to some music after dark

• Hates physical contact with anyone he doesn't trust (which is practically everyone except like three people)

• regarless of that, he's very touch starved, so when he does get a hug he will like melt into it

• HATES summer with a burning passion. Probably also because it's quite hard to wear long sleeves and get away with it (plus its unbearably hot)

• Doesn't realise he has a resting bitch face lol

• He has one of those pine tree air fresheners in his car, hanging from the rear view mirror. Specifically the dark green one that smells like a forest.

• listens to music all the time, like while doing the most basic tasks. Mostly because music helps to drown out his thoughts (and possibly distract from hallucinations)

• His hands and feet get cold very quickly

Choices Cinematic Universe

Insomnia means that I have spent two hours on the Choices wiki trying to figure out how all of these books connect to each other and it has led me to conclude:

The Crown & The Flame is a television show based off of a book series.

It is my firmly held belief that the book series is a mix of real life events and legend - or at least, folks are led to believe that the fire powers are legend, since normal humans probably couldn’t handle a Fire-Att running around.

It is also a video game played by the characters of High School Story.

The Five Kingdoms (C&F) united together to form Cordonia (Rules of Engagement, The Royal Romance).

Leo and Liam of Rules of Engagement and The Royal Romance, respectively, are descendants of Kenna Rhys (C&F), while Olivia Nevrakis (TRR) is a direct descendant of Zenobia Nevrakis (C&F).

Leo steps down as Crown Prince of Cordonia in Rules of Engagement, leaving his brother Liam to have to choose a wife and take the throne in The Royal Romance.

Update courtesy of an awesome anon: Madeleine's father from TRR is the Duke of Karlington, which was the same title Duke Richards has in Desire & Decorum.

The main character from Rules of Engagement meets and interacts with characters from Most Wanted and The Freshman.

The cruiseline from ROE is used in High School Story.

Characters in HSS appear to engage in an MMO against a group of characters from The Freshman.

Hartfield University, the college at which The Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior all take place, is the alma mater of characters in #LoveHacks and Veil of Secrets.

Hartfield is also where the main characters of The Haunting of Briarwood Manor and Endless Summer attend, and is the school that the main character in The Elementalists drops out from before going to Penderghast.

The scarab from the beginning of Bloodbound, or one very similar, is sought after by Griffin in the beginning of The Elementalists.

At Penderghast (TE), the library has textbooks citing the Kraken (C&F), Dopey Cat (#LH), and Redfield (It Lives in the Woods). A Baby Kraken can also be found in Endless Summer.

Second update from the awesome anon: Hero’s Silas Prescott has a crystal said to be from Endless Summer’s La Huerta, said to be shaped like the island’s heart.

In The Elementalists, everyone has an Attunement, allowing you to have a connection and some control over a certain element, like fire (C&F).

ClickIt, the website for which the main character of #LoveHacks works, is used by characters in HSS and is mentioned at the beginning of Big Sky Country.

Erin in High School Story appears to be enamored with Victoria Fontaine, a character in Red Carpet Diaries.

The characters in HSS are also aware of events outside their country, as Emma references Liam not choosing the waitress at the coronation ball (TRR).

Chris Wood and Thomas Hunt (RCD) are guest judges for a challenge in America’s Most Eligible.

Becca Davenport (The Senior) mentions watching America’s Most Eligible, and the main character of Perfect Match believes the show would be more enjoyable if the eliminated contestants were dropped down a trap door.

The contestants of America’s Most Eligible say that they enjoy watching The Crown & The Flame, as do characters in Endless Summer.

Characters in The Freshman are avid fans of the C&F series, and even visit the set in LA, where they’re filming the final season. Here they meet characters from Most Wanted.

A song written by Hayley Rose during the events of Most Wanted is heard in The Freshman.

Alyssa Griffin is an actress from Most Wanted who transitions to singing by the time of The Freshman, which puts the events of Most Wanted before The Freshman. Certain spoilers from Endless Summer set it after the events of most other books in this universe. Alyssa also makes appearances in ROE and PM.

Perfect Match has its characters visit the Double Tap, a bar frequented by the characters of #LH, and Damien mentions he grew up reading the comics for which Ben Parks (#LH) is an illustrator.

Most Wanted 2 involves a series of murders perpetrated by a cult, which inspires some kind of adaptation (book or tv show, I’m assuming) that inspires an arcade game in Endless Summer.

Characters from Most Wanted appear in Red Carpet Diaries, as does a blog that sets Most Wanted prior to the events of RCD.

I am tired, so I probably missed more ties between all of these books. I know I didn’t manage to fit all of the books/series in here (Looking at you, A Courtesan of Rome), but this is what I’ve got.

Chloe de Lis lied to Rachel and the Lis comic.

Well, I just saw the fourth issue of Life Is Strange Dust Comic, the conclusion I got is that Chloe de Lis lied to Rachel, and this spawned Rachel that we see in Lis, which is hated by many and extremely misunderstood.

The evidence in Lis, Bts and Lis comic that Chloe lied to Rachel, are:

1. The conversation of Chloe and Sera in BtS.

Chloe: Do not you think the truth is more important?

Sera: The truth? What’s so good really, Chloe?

Chloe: I can not lie to Rachel. I will not do that. She trusts me and I do not want to ruin it.

Sera: If you love her, you will lie to her. You can do whatever you want, Chloe. You have the power. What you have to decide is whether you will protect Rachel, or cause her even more pain. So please tell her that I’ve never been here. Let her have the peace she can. Without me.

In BtS supposedly tried to explain the behavior of Rachel in the first game through the history of its mother, but that did not make sense.

Why there are three endings in BtS:

A) One where Chloe tells the truth, but Rachel did not know Sera.

B) Another where Chloe tells the truth and Rachel knows Sera (to get this there are two ways, you can ask for Rachel’s bracelet and deliver it to Sera or you convince Sera in her dialogue with Chloe, the latter being the most difficult).

C) If Chloe tells the truth, Rachel know Sera, and the Rachel de Lis would not exist, because Sera would be an example for her not to engage with drugs and not the other way around. Sera did her rehab and was clean. Another thing Rachel does not even smoke in BtS.

2. They stayed in Arcadia Bay. Rachel was always able to get away on her own, she told at the kissing scene that she had the money for it (“Allowance money” or her father’s bribe, as she herself said. What James hid, in addition to Sera), but as we saw on BTS, she wanted to get away with Chloe. So why did not Rachel de Lis escape by herself? As Chloe lied to her, she continued her relationship with her family initially, a relationship that was one of Rachel’s reasons for wanting to flee, was reestablished by Chloe’s lie, and this we see in the epilogue where Rachel dines with James, Rose and Chloe and she seems happy, the momentary stability this brought led them both to wait longer to get more money to flee in the future, but what could happen if Rachel found out later that Chloe lied to her. What would happen to Rachel’s relationship with Chloe, and her relationship with her parents? Chloe the only person in the world Rachel could trust, see what Rachel tells Chloe in the scene in her room, after discovering that her father lied about her biological mother in BtS: I think you’re the only one in the world who I can trust. Yeah, I believe she later discovered Chloe’s lie, and it destroyed her relationship with her parents, especially her father, who possibly stopped giving her money, or she did not want to be supported by him any more , leading her to run out of money. The initial money Rachel had could have been spent by her and Chloe during their momentary peace of fun, or she could have spent that money to pay for the dormitory in Blackwell, of course, if she could not get a scholarship for it since his grades were high. At last she clearly wanted to move there because of her broken relationship with her parents, because there would be no other reason for it, after all she had a house in the city, and the dormitories were only for people who came from other cities and had no a home in Arcadia Bay. The reason she did not run away on her own after discovering that Chloe had lied to her was possibly because she had no money or could not let Chloe, which seems to be so, why there is a lot of evidence in Lis that, though subtle. Maybe she forgave Chloe, but their relationship did not remain the same, but I think she still wanted to get to run away with Chloe. Rachel was in love with Chloe, in BtS we see this, in option, something more or friendship, if you choose the “friendship” option, you can see Rachel’s sincere disappointment. She asks the question: Oh, is that all? And before she sets fire to the oak, Rachel says with the same disappointment what was happening between them was something special, even if to Chloe everything is just friendship. In this case, I even like the “friendship” option. Because here you can see very well how Rachel related to Chloe (you can still choose a kiss in the second episode). And even if Chloe did not speak directly about her feelings, Rachel herself shows it. Chloe was probably Rachel’s first love. In addition, Rachel de Lis owes money to one person, carved from a tree near Prescott Dormitory in Blackwell, we see the following inscription “Rachel Amber owes me money. Pay Bitch”

3. Rachel did not have a good relationship with her parents in Lis, they did not search for her, they acted cold, they did not believe something wrong could have happened, Chloe tried to persuade them but failed, why she did not have a good relationship with Rachel’s parents either.

4. The strongest evidence that Chloe lied to Rachel is in Life is Strange Dust comic, which implicitly demonstrates that Chloe de Lis, lied to Rachel and feels guilty about it, Chloe in reviewing her in an alternate reality demonstrates this in your speeches and expressions, you can see in the image. She says: Rachel I … Rachel waits! Rachel! I’m sorry, Rachel. It may be that Chloe feels guilty for not being able to save Rachel, but besides, I think she feels guilty for never telling Rachel herself the truth and their relationship has gone wrong because of it, so they do not run away and Rachel died in the Dark Room. Of course, the fault of Rachel’s death was not Chloe’s, but her lie may be one of the things that, which led to Rachel dying in this reality. Because at the end of the fourth edition of the comic, there is a reality where the two managed to escape and are together in Santa Monica in 2014, this reality must be the reality where Chloe told the truth, and both fled early from Arcadia Bay. Thus Rachel did not die in the Dark Room. Rachel’s personality in BtS shows that she would flee Arcadia Bay much earlier with Chloe, after Chloe tells the truth. See the BtS cut off dialogue in the hospital scene, if you choose the Tell Rachel All option, the conversation is as follows.

Chloe: Your father … he’s working with Damon.

Rachel: What?

Chloe: They found your mother. She kidnapped him. There’s almost been killed.

Rachel: No. That’s not … that’s not true.

Chloe: I was there. I saw all this. It was so awful. But it’s true.

Rachel: No.

Chloe: I’m so sorry.

Rachel: No. No, no, no!

Rachel is shocked and upset, and James and Rose presumably hear her and enter the room, worried. The two of them go to her, but Rachel reaches for James. Chloe gets up and tries to hug Rachel, and she resists at first, but lets Chloe comfort her. Rachel starts to cry and looks angrily at James, who looks very sad and distressed.

Anyway, Rachel deserved more in the comic, they should have explained her behavior in it. Rachel deserved more on Lis and Bts as well.

Lis is about, overcoming the problems of real life and redemption. Everyone has a second chance:

Max had a chance to redeem himself after years of ignoring Chloe;

Chloe had the chance to redeem himself, to be a selfish person;

David had a chance to redeem himself from being a violent stepfather;

Frank had the chance to redeem himself from being a pedophile and an idiot;

Victoria had the chance to redeem herself, to be a bitch;

Nathan had the chance to redeem himself from being a broken and psychopathic teenager;

EVEN THE JEFFERSHIT’S BITCH WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO RECOVER IN THE JAIL!

But how was Rachel’s image? It was that of a traitor, a liar and manipulative, because hardly anyone notices that she is the doe that guides Max during the game to do justice to her and Chloe that they would die in the hands of psychopaths. That her disappearance makes Max and Chloe have more contact and be together during that week.

At least the end of the comic she is alive, at least this they gave her, the opportunity not to die in a plastic bag in a dirty hole in a pile of crap!

One I say one thing to you, Rachel is a misunderstood character because it was poorly developed.

In Lis, we spent the fucking game looking for Rachel, who is clearly important to the story and to Chloe

What do we know for sure about Rachel since the first game? The development of Rachel’s character is the biggest shit I’ve ever seen in a video game and the story of the character. She was hardly a character in the first game to begin with. She was a plot item. But even the plot items can be explained, but not Rachel, why?! Oh, I remember, because DONTNOD wanted her to be the mysterious character. Fuck that! With that they turned her into a negative character.

In BtS, they excluded almost everything about her relationship with Chloe, which clearly showed that she was developed to be Chloe’s romantic coupl. What is the purpose of having a game that forces players to make multiple decisions, just to have the same final shit ?! There was no closing, no choice mattered, no hope, nothing. It was not bittersweet. It was just mean and annoying.

This is not about Amberprice vs. Pricefield, it’s just Rachel’s plot and character development, it’s about the message they passed on to lesbians.

They could give Rachel a proper story and an adequate explanation, not this painful and messy story about being harassed by a pedophile drug dealer, and killed by a pedophile psychopathic teacher.

Something bad happened to her that broke her even more and led her down a very lonely and dark path. There is a lot of evidence pointing to this in the first game. In addition, there is a possibility that Rachel was murdered only during episode 1 because of the doe and the stench of her pit, meaning she may have been in Jefferson’s hands for six months.

This game has a beautiful conceptual art, design and characters, an interesting setting of storytelling, a lot of potential, but fail miserably in delivering a meaningful story and plot, not giving us real power to decide! CHOICES DO NOT CARE IF THE END IS ALWAYS THE SAME! Life is still Strange, but besides … It’s fucked up, bad, because no matter how much you struggle to overcome your problems and be happy, you’ll end up dead or having to lose or sacrifice someone you love, especially if You’re a lesbian. Sounds good, right? This is the life that Lis and BtS show.

BTS, LIS and the comic are not good for to give hope to the lesbians. But, BTS is a more realistic game than the LIS, because in our reality, it is not possible to go back in time, which makes BTS easier to associate with reality.

If the characters were real people, Max would not talk to Chloe again, Chloe would die in a bathroom looking for Rachel, and since they did take Rachel’s image as a traitor, LIS gives a very bad realist message about relationships between women.

As if relationships between women were impossible and failed, and it would only be possible in fantasy, where it is possible to go back in time, this is the message that LIS passes.

BTS should be the best lesbian game in history if they had put all the content, it would be sad and tragic in one of the finals, but at least we would have confirmation that Rachel and Chloe’s relationship was real and true, and that their relationship would continue if they had not been murdered by psychopaths, so the comic shows this in a reality, but still does not explain the story of Rachel.

Anyway, Chloe in Lis, the character that represents to the stereotype of a lesbian, had the image of muggle and selfish, abandoned by the best friend of childhood, betrayed by the girlfriend, killed by a psychopath, could only be saved in a reality fantastical where people are able to go back in time, and still later in this fantasy reality wants to return to girlfriend who betrayed her. Is that their message Dontnod? What it generates it in the mind of the inattentive person when she associates Chloe, Rachel, being lesbian and the reality, this: Being a lesbian is bad and sad, if this game were with real people.

So I thank writers AmberPrice, Pricefield and others who did not make Rachel a motherfucker in their stories, why Rachel and Chloe deserved more. We lesbians deserve more.

hey there! i’m rhys. i am 22, live in the ct, and love ooc chatter! my ooc is pretty lax, but i promise my writing is a helluva lot more formal. i write in third person, past/present tense, and paragraph form. im not a rapid-fire writer, and won’t be able to constantly get replies in every day (i can get responses in anywhere between every couple of days to a week or two). however, i will ALWAYS put tlc into all of my posts and characters! i write anywhere between 300-900 words. it’s definitely alright if you don’t feel up to that amount at any given point, but i do appreciate keeping it somewhere in this range. im very wordy, and can spew out a novel if im excited enough lmao

my limits are pretty general; i will not do beastiality, pedophilia, vore, or scat. i can indulge in a variety of kinks, but if it’s a little much for any average person, i’m less likely to write it out (i.e extreme ddlg or adult babies, furries, extreme pet play, etc.) but i can be persuaded to lightly touch on certain kinks as long as they’re not 10000% filth lmao i cannot, and will not, do seme/uke or top/bottom dynamics. absolutely not. queer relationships shouldn’t be defined by whose taking the D. i dont want to interact with squeamish little femboys, or awful macho men with downright rapey tendencies. versatility is key, and power struggles are what i live for! i will, however, indulge in BDSM dynamics with certain plots— although, domination isn’t always about penetration, you know?

give me characters with aspirations, hopes and dreams, and crushing past experiences that flesh them out into who they are. no one is perfect, and we all have things that rear their ugly heads in the dark. problematic characters, male or female or anything in between, are everything. i love lgbtq+ characters, as i am part of the community myself, and will almost always be more inclined in writing queer characters. not to say i won’t write for strictly straight pairings, m/f, but usually i am iffy when approached with it if i am just meeting you.

Office romances/BDSM/Friends with benefits-turned-lovers

okay, so, i had this type of roleplay with someone a while back. maybe more than two or three years back that i fell out of contact with and i could never really get it out of my head because it was probably one of the best character-building stories i’ve ever taken part of. :’) i don’t remember their name, but i do hope they’ll contact me again if they ever see this. while some of this may seem specific, none of it is concrete and i promise i am very easy to get along with and very accomodating! the plot i remember had three different relationships— completely different people, with different lives and different worlds, with only one common thing between them being that they work in the same building. we can do all three, or we can do a few, or even one! i dont mind.

**pairing A; M/F preferred (lol i know broke my own rule, but i adore femdoms! extra: please come with an open mind. this is not a 50 shades AU, and i do not want it to be.) this one is between a CEO and an intern in their senior year of college. The CEO is a femdom, and freshly out of divorce, takes a liking to the clumsy intern who’d spilled coffee on her more than once. The intern has never been in a relationship with an older woman, let alone one running a multi-million dollar company, but hey, isn’t that the dream for some broke twenty-something down on his luck? She introduces him to BDSM, and while he’s hesitant, the idea is as exciting as it is frightening. He accepts her offer— while it’s difficult at times, he begins to learn more about her. Her ex-spouse, her young child, and her unwillingness to develop a sincere relationship with him. She’s had subs before, and while she tells him he isn’t disposable, he begins to feel it was the truth. He grows to have feelings for her, and while she isn’t too keen on admitting it, the feeling is mutual. I’d love to explore their dynamic in and out of sex, and the conflict between the intern and her ex-spouse. I love age gaps, and think it would be awesome to see them develop over time to find common ground to establish a personal relationship and trying to even out their power imbalances. I don’t mind playing either the CEO or the intern, but I am leaning more towards the CEO. :V**

**pairing B; M/M preferred (this one is waaay more gritty and more dub-con than anything so please beware!) this one is between two higher-ups who have been butting heads for years— and occasionally, sexual tension neither have acted on. A is a snarky, openly gay man, and probably what some would consider shallow and noncommittal. B is a brooding, closeted ‘by the book’ type well into his thirties, and refuses to engage in anything sexual with men despite his obvious attraction; B has younger siblings he takes care of as well as his mother, and being the oldest son and only provider, hasn’t done a thing for himself in twenty years. A lives completely alone, complete with a bachelor pad and, the influx of flings that went nowhere past sex, and has risen to the top with his own sheer will. they have conflicting motives, and while both of them have an intense hatred for each other, they’ve never engaged in physical altercations in fear of losing their jobs. one day, A jabs a little below the belt, and finally, B starts swinging. this fight turns into something way more heavy in the company parking lot. what happens between them in the long run is something desperate, needy, and longing for real affection. it began as a mindless need for sex, angry and mean and formal, with B being especially unwilling to ‘give up’ his masculinity and ever be on the receiving end in fear of losing the control he needs to keep this up. i’d love to see them begin to see each other in a different light, and changing each other for the better. i’d also love to see A showing B that sex doesn’t have to be meaningless, and that he doesn’t need to fear letting A be in control. And B showing A that commitment isn’t as terrifying as it may be, with them gradually going from rivals, to friends with benefits, and eventually lovers. i, again, don’t mind writing for either! **

**pairing C; F/F preferred. (aaa this pairing is way more fluffy and sweet, with hurt/comfort as a stable of their dynamic.) this one is between two small-office employees in the company. A is fairly tame at work in order to support her sibling(s), of which she has adopted from her father’s custody years ago. she is fairly confident with her sexuality, and while not being the type to frequent clubs, is dragged along by a few friends and there, meets B. B is a young woman who just recently got out of a relationship with an abusive ex fiance— B has only ever been with that man, and was never confident in exploring her sexuality due to a religious upbringing and parents who were dead set on traditional values. she’s never strayed from her ex, and while he wasn’t faithful or remotely good to her in return, she was heartbroken with their split. months after, he returns to the city and B’s close friends decide to take her out on a girls’ night to make her feel better— B coincidently sees her ex, and feeling childish and unattractive, heads off to the bar to get a drink. she’s nowhere near a drinker, and just before she does drown her sorrows, is hit on by A. while initially shocked, B is flustered and finds herself immediately attracted to A. they have a one-night stand, and while B believes that A would just leave in the morning, A instead lays with her until she wakes up, and leaves her number. B is too anxious to text her. they bump into each other at the elevator that Monday. they agree to be just friends, until B knows what she wants. A is willing to wait. B might have a crush, and A is intent on building B up to love herself and her body. i would overall prefer to write for A, but if you’re dead set, no prob!**

Serial killer/1960’s/Small town sheriff

no preferred pairing! would love, love, love to see something between a serial killer and a small town sheriff in the mid-to-late sixties. we could make up a new little town, or find one to our liking! A is the sheriff who had been born and raised in this town with a good home life, loving parents, and a steady moral compass, albeit trapped in a loveless marriage. they know everyone, and every nook and cranny of the place like the back of their hand. this is the type of place where people don’t have to lock their doors at night, or constantly watch their kids when they’re out in the yard playing. that is, until people start going missing and horrifyingly mutilated bodies began to pop up around town. B is a well-liked baker in town; known to be genuinely friendly and kind, B has a very corrupt past. both of their parents were heinously abusive, and as a child, B developed sociopathic tendencies. B was inherently spiteful of the town and the people in it, for leaving them to rot in hell for eighteen years, and for never reaching out. B formed a god complex, his intentions to ‘purify the corrupt’. they keep tabs on almost everyone in town, and the victims they do take are put in the soundproof basement of his home to be ‘baptized’; tortured, beaten, and mutilated beyond recognition. A and B are friendly with each other as A comes to the bakery every morning, with B’s motives completely unbeknownst. one night, A, frustrated and pissed from the dead ends of the case of the decade, decides to head to the bar and relax. B is the one face A didn’t mind seeing that night, and one thing lead to another, with A and B in a dark alley getting each other off— i definitely see this as B grooming A to be a complicit pet, and when A gets closer and closer to figuring out who the killer is, he forms a deep connection with B. B develops a possessiveness over A, along with that sense of ownership he’d established between them. B manipulates A, coerces him into a false sense of security, and eventually— A finds out, and while B initially thinks to kill A, A is corrupted by B and forms some kind of stockholm syndrome for B. it’s up to A on whether or not they turn B in, or cover the killer’s tracks. B, despite his very sick and repulsive nature, develops a true infatuation for A, as close to love as they were ever going to get, and A is desperate enough to please B that they’ll do anything to not disappoint them.

Post apocalypse/decades later/immunity

no pairing preferred! the plot I had in mind is loosely based off of a video game called "The Last of Us", which i am sure most of you have a general knowledge of! (definitely check it out if you don’t :O it’s a great game!!) the prompt i was shooting for goes something like this; in a post-apocalyptic world where a pandemic has killed off most living species, character A is a lone wolf with little to do with other people that don't benefit him, except for a select few. A is especially rough around the edges, as he's lived through some sick shit and lived to tell the tale. A had once been part of a group dedicated to finding a cure, but things went south, and a lot of people died. A had a close bond with the leader of said group, and coincidentally they were the only survivors. their past together, having been deeply demented and twisted, caused them to fall out. said leader has rebuilt a new group in the ten years since the last time they'd seen A. character B is the only known immune person alive, and has dedicated their life to being a resource to finding a cure. A and his (current) contact/partner in crime have something taken from them, and are determined to get it back. they do some searching, and are confronted with this group-- they have what they need, but are only willing to give it to them for a favor in return. no one can outrun their past forever. so, this plot isn't concrete. things can be changed, we can do whatever we want, and i am happy to comply to any revisions or suggestions! i'd really enjoy taking on A, if that's alright!

TREASURE HUNTERS/ANCIENT CURSES/LOVE-HATE DYNAMICS/MODERN

treasure hunters!!!! yES!! think Uncharted or Tomb Raider. an architect/treasure hunter is being funded an expedition to find a lost treasure and they are forced to bring along a reporter in order to receive the funds. the reporter and architect certainly dont get along in the beginning— they bicker, and clash on most fronts. the expedition wasnt meant to be dangerous. what was initially thought to be a simple job turned into something treacherous; bandits, a team of hired hitmen and their leader looking to take the treasure for themselves, and some rather supernatural elements that they both couldnt quite put a finger on. the treasure hunter and the reporter have to work together to get out of this alive, and get to the artifact before someone else does. (the “treasure” is definitely up for debate!! we can chose a real life lost treasure, or just make one up!! it can be anywhere around the world, and everything is at our disposal).

DEMON/INHERITANCE/HUNTERS/MODERN

character A has an awful time living in the city— alone, and without mom's guidance, completely lost. one day they receive a call about a deceased relative, one they'd never heard of, one that apparently left their estate and everything in it in their will to A. with nothing but the clothes on their back, A took a shot in the dark and drove out to this presumed "estate" come early summer, only to find that it's a mansion in a tiny little town with an eerie vibe and populated by the typical small town churchgoers and farm folk. living in this town was a hell of a challenge; everyone was nice, too nice, and people started to go missing. character B is an exceptionally charismatic, charming person and the only mechanic/handyman in town. A and B become friends, partially, when A needs to fix up the piping in their estate. A stumbles upon the attic one day, and for once, they start to get why this whole town reeked to the roots in weird shit-- their deceased relative was tracking something here in this town, having to do with all of the MIA townsfolk. DR has a board of possible suspects, and at the center? B. A shrugs it off as their relative having been paranoid, but the longer A stays in this town, the more apparent it becomes that DR wasnt crazy. B is, in fact, not the murderer, instead a supernatural being (open for debate! im on the fence with demons, vampires, etc.) on a mission to track down the monster, same as DR. i am so down for internal struggles, sweet gestures, and overall, two people just trying to make it work! i could also see A being hella paranoid that B is the monster, and maybe tries to throw cloves of garlic at them only to realize thats not exactly how this monster hunter business works lmao

DEPRESSED WRITER/YOUNG MUSE/between 1920’s-1960’s/sex, drugs, & the american dream

m/m preferred! A is a severely depressed middle-aged man believing his life has been wasted. his wife left him with their child at her hip, his career was in a rut, and he had nothing left to live for. opting for suicide, he goes out one evening to purchase a bottle of gin to down with a handful of prescription sleeping pills when he returned to his apartment. instead of going directly home, he’s swept in by the music in an underground club for queers. there he meets B; all encompassing, angel faced, and the only person A didn’t know how to look away from. B is a former US Navy Seal, aspiring musician, and avid indulger of the human body— A stays a little too long, owlish and red, and after the show, B approaches him with a cattish smile. they spark a friendship, and A is thrown down the rabbit hole when B introduces him to his social circle, filled to the brim with drag queens, junkies, queers, and the overall unusual— he integrates into this community, his contemplation of suicide only a distant memory, and begins to find himself extremely attracted to B. he lights a fire in A, something dangerous and unquenchable, and A finds himself drawn in by the unpredictability. A embarks with B on a journey of self exploration, passion, and inevitable love in a world that scorned the oddities of human attraction and anyone who dared to be free.

Preferences: Christmas Gifts

Merry Christmas guys! I haven’t had a lot of time to pay attention to this blog but I’m very glad for all your continued support <3 I whipped up a quick little thing, hopefully you guys will like it!

Max Caulfield

I feel like Max would really appreciate something she can use, or geek out over! For example, lots of new film for her camera, or concept art books for something she’s a fan of, like Lord of the Rings or Final Fantasy! Although, since she’s a sucker for sentimentality, I doubt she’d have a problem with a sweet little soft toy.

Chloe Price

Honestly, the best gift is probably your presence due to her history of feeling abandoned but let’s not delve into that, and be materialistic hoes c: Home-made cards are always incredibly appreciated because she loves personal gifts that shows you think about her, as well as any symbol of friendship/love, like matching necklaces or bracelets.

Warren Graham

Warren’s interests change so fast, in terms of geekdom and science. The best thing to do is notice where his attention is at the moment and either buy him a textbook, concept art book or guide to it, or maybe make something yourself. Even if it’s something as small as a keychain or poster, he’ll be so happy! Honestly, even if it’s not a geeky thing, he’ll still be super grateful!

Kate Marsh

Something simple is something she appreciates - she doesn’t need a lot to feel grateful. Cute soft toys and flowers are already enough to get her clutching these presents to her heart, smiling. New materials for drawing works, and while she recovers in a hospital, a large soft toy may be something she’d really like, since she can cuddle it when she feels lonely.

Victoria Chase

TBH she’d probably have a wishlist so nobody screws up! There’s a lot of things you can get her - makeup, clothes, accessories, spa treatments, even cute lingerie... All of which she’ll love! She’ll also be embarrassedly excited over Japanese figurine, especially one she’s a fan of. Don’t give it to her in public though, she doesn’t want to fangirl around her friends.

Nathan Prescott

He pretty much has everything money can buy, so the present he’d most appreciate is something you made, even if it’s as simple as a hand-written card. He’s one of those people who’d keep that, either displayed proudly or in a folder hidden in a drawer. If you give him any trinkets, he won’t necessarily wear them in public (perhaps concealed) but he’ll appreciate the token.

Mark Jefferson

He doesn’t care much for holidays, but it’s not like he’s not appreciative of a thoughtful gift. He takes social relationships for granted, in that he can drop them as soon as they don’t interest him anymore, so he won’t really care much for tokens of friendship, even if he’ll pretend he loves it. Something he’d really like are CDs or records of jazz or blues would bring a rare, genuine smile.

Spring Semester Honor Roll Announced

Jackson, Tenn (June 21, 2017) – The Office of Admissions and Records at Jackson State Community College released the honor roll for the Spring 2017 semester. On the honor roll, there were 307 full-time students who achieved a quality point average over 3.00. There were 381 students who made the dean’s list by achieving a quality point average of 3.50 or better.

Honor Roll is reserved for students who are enrolled for twelve (12) or more hours of college-level work (Learning Support excluded) and who complete a semester’s work with a quality point average between 3.00 and 3.49.

Dean’s List is reserved for students who are enrolled for twelve (12) or more hours of college-level work and who complete a semester’s work with a quality point average between 3.50 and 4.00.

Fred's store closings 2019: Discount chain shuttering 159 stores Discount chain Fred's is joining the growing list of retailers shuttering stores amid slumping sales. The Memphis-based company announced Thursday that it would close 159 underperforming stores by the end of May with "going out of business" sales starting Thursday as it looks to reduce its store footprint and "evaluate strategic alternatives." The retailer said in a statement that it retained investment banking advisory firm PJ Solomon to assess its options "to maximize value" and hired liquidation firms Malfitano Advisors and SB360 Capital Partners "to help manage the process and ensure a seamless experience for customers." When companies announce they are considering "strategic alternatives," it often involves a potential sale or restructuring. The closing stores represent nearly 29% of Fred's 557 stores and are located in 13 states, with Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee losing the most stores. Sales at Fred's stores open at least a year fell 4.9% in the first nine months of 2018, compared with a year earlier. "After a careful review, we have made the decision to rationalize our footprint by closing underperforming stores, with a particular focus on locations with shorter duration leases," Fred’s CEO Joseph Anto said in the statement. "Most of these stores have near‐term lease expirations and limited remaining lease obligations." Shares of Fred's were down nearly 5.8% at $1.97 in midday Thursday trading after the announcement. Discount chain Fred's is joining the growing list of retailers shuttering stores amid slumping sales.

The liquidation

Also Thursday, SB360 Capital Partners, which is managing the closing sales, announced the firm was launching “Total Inventory Blowout” clearance sales at an additional 360 Fred's stores. Discounts are 5% to 20% off the lowest ticketed price with some exclusions at both the closing locations and stores holding clearance sales, SB360 officials told USA TODAY. “Fred’s stores bring the everyday necessities closer to home, and they do it at discount prices,” said Ziggy Schaffer, an executive vice president with SB360. “The store closing and total inventory blowout events will bring value on top of value.” With most of Fred’s stores in smaller communities, Aaron Miller, an executive vice president with SB360, said they’re expecting “a pretty strong response from the customers.” “Fred’s has a loyal following and we’re expecting increased traffic,” Miller said. “The merchandise will go quickly.” SB360 has managed liquidation sales for more than 50 years and is an affiliate of the Schottenstein family, which also owns DSW Inc. and American Eagle Outfitters. It recently handled the Charlotte Russe liquidation. Fred’s will remain “a one-stop shop with continued replenishment of food staples,” Miller said, noting milk, eggs, beverages and frozen items would be restocked throughout the sale. Only 37 stores, or 7%, of stores are not included in either the clearance or liquidation sales.

What happened

In 2017, a deal for Fred's to acquire hundreds of Rite Aid or Walgreens stores collapsed when a mega-merger between the pharmacy giants deteriorated. Months later, Fred's announced it was considering "strategic transactions and alternatives for certain non-core assets," including real estate and specialty pharmacy business. Last September, Fred’s reached an agreement to sell the pharmacy patient prescription files and related pharmacy inventory of 179 Fred’s stores located across 10 southeastern states to Walgreens for $165 million. . With Thursday's announcement, Fred's said it is "continuing to pursue the sale of its remaining pharmacy assets as part of its previously announced plan." Fred's is part of a wave of recent retail closures. Based on figures from global marketing research firm Coresight Research, bankruptcy filings and company earnings reports, more than 6,500 stores are slated to close locations in 2019. The brick-and-mortar downturn is expected to continue, according to a new report released this week from UBS Securities. Investment bank analysts said 75,000 more stores would need to be shuttered by 2026 if e-commerce “penetration rises from 16% currently to 25%.”

What's next for Fred's

In Fred's statement Thursday, the company said PJ Solomon would do a "thorough evaluation" of the company's plan and look for alternatives. "There can be no assurance that the strategic review will result in any specific action, or any assurance as to its outcome or timing," the statement said. The number of employees affected was not immediately available. “Decisions that impact our associates in this way are difficult, but the steps we are announcing are necessary,” Anto said. “We will make every effort to transition impacted associates to other stores where possible.” There are no plans to close a majority or all Fred's stores or to file for bankruptcy, The Wall Street Journal reported last week.
