Hanabishi, “Bossing” Vic Sotto Continue Partnership

MANILA, Philippines - Hanabishi Appliances recently renewed its partnership with its first and long-time brand ambassador, actor-host Vic Sotto. This is the ninth year that the two icons -- one in the appliance sector and the other in Philippine entertainment -- will be working together.

Bringing Joy and Help to Filipinos

The brand’s collaboration with Sotto goes beyond product promotions.

Sotto lauded Hanabishi for taking part in the various community projects of Eat Bulaga, the country’s longest-running noontime show.

 A Fiesta-Themed Welcome

Hanabishi celebrated their renewed partnership with Sotto through a fiesta-themed event. He was welcomed by Mr. Ong and Ms. Ong-Chua along with Hanabishi VP for Operations Candice Ong-Ang and VP for Purchasing and Merchandising Jevon Ong.

In keeping with the theme, the guests were served a buffet of Filipino dishes prepared by Milky Way Cafe. Hanabishi products that are perfect for the hot summer months were raffled off. A “guess the price” contest was also held, with three winners taking home Hanabishi appliances. Comedian, podcaster, and content creator Stanley Chi hosted the program.

“As we mark our 37th year, we would like to thank all the people like Bossing who have become part of our success. We are grateful to all the consumers who have made Hanabishi their brand of choice when it comes to their home and business,” said Ong-Chua.

This is the Taros Comedy Crew from the TV5 sitcom show Banana Split. They resemble the Taros Imagin from Kamen Rider Den-O. They are also the genderbend versions of Arcee Muñoz, Ritz Azul, Alice Dixson and Eula Caballero who are the original cast members of Banana Split. Somehow, The original cast members retired when Vice Ganda learned the truth but Zoren Legaspi knew and told DingDong Dantes that Arcee Muñoz, Ritz Azul, Alice Dixson and Eula Caballero are dead. But DingDong Dantes knew that Tuesday Vargas has been cursed of 7 years bad luck. The Taros Comedy Crew is composed of 4 members Vice Ganda, Empoy Marquez, Coco Martin and Zoren Legaspi which references to Momotaros, Urataros, Kintaros and Ryutaros. Before the group was formed, Vice Ganda was originally from his primetime talk show Gandang Gabi Vice while Coco Martin was from the all-male sketch comedy show Laugh Out Loud with Edgar Allan Guzman and Marco Gumabao and Zoren Legaspi was from the sitcom disaster show Shock Attack with RJ Padilla. Somehow, Empoy Marquez appeared in the GMA sitcom show Lokomoko with John Prats, Jayson Gainza, Zanjoe Marudo, Jericho Rosales, Luis Manzano, Matteo Guidicelli, Derek Ramsay, Albie Casiño, Martin Escudero and Chad Kinis. Although, Empoy Marquez was from GMA from 2005 until he moved to TV5 in 2010. However, Before they have moved to TV5. Empoy Marquez was from the funny sitcom show Bubble Gang from ABS-CBN from 1995 until 2005 before he was excluded by Vic Sotto. But Coco Martin was originally from the GMA sitcom show Tropang Trumpo with Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola and Andi Eigenmann. Eventually, Zoren Legaspi was from the ABS-CBN comedy show Si Tsong, Si Tsang with his wife Carmina Villaroel when they got married in October 31, 1998. Their daughter Cassandra Legaspi was born in September 16, 2000 and their son Mavy Legaspi was born in November 30, 2004. Quando eravamo ragazzini noi, gli sciroppi erano tutti bianchi, coi grumi e sapevano di merda, le siringhe c’avevano un ago di 4 mm di diametro, invece dell’aerosol ci piazzavano in piedi sulla sedia davanti al forno col canavaccio in testa a respira’ il vapore dell’acqua bollente che se poco poco ti movevi male andavi a fini’ sul messaggero in cronaca e dopo du’ giorni sui necrologi.

Il termometro oggi è elettronico e in plastica, lo metti sotto l’ascella, dopo 30 secondi fa bip e leggi la temperatura, all’epoca era di vetro, ghiacciato e dovevi conta’ i minuti che passavano mentre piano piano perdevi l’uso del braccio, dentro ci stava il mercurio che se per sbaglio usciva fuori ti mettevano la casa in quarantena tipo il film “Rec”.

Poi c’era il vics-vaporub che era un unguento a base di vinavil che te lo spalmavano sul petto e ti appiccicava il pigiama, se dormivi a pancia in giù restavi incollato al materasso.

Per non parlare delle supposte, quando eravamo piccoli noi erano lunghe 4 centimetri, parevano i proiettili de un AK-47…altro che i Plug che vi infilate nel culo voi troiette slaves

Eraserhead's Huling El Bimbo?

Will this be the last time we’ll ever see them play as a band together?

Eraserheads, also known as the Philippines Fab Four, have announced earlier this year that they will do a concert on December 22 after a long 13 years since their last performance together. Eraserheads is known as one of the country’s most influential OPM acts. The band originally formed at University of the Philippines in 1989 and the band soared through the 90's before Ely Buendia (Lead Vocalist) called it quits back in 2002 by simply texting his bandmates “ graduate na ako” xD ( a nice way to end something haha it's kinda nice and cool tho ngl) . They were known for their hit songs such as “Ang Huling El Bimbo,” (obviously lol) “Magasin,” “Alapaap,” “Ligaya,” and “Pare Ko.” They were also featured in a film titled “Run Barbi Run!” back in 1995 and they were also tied with the controversy of Vic Sotto, Joey De Leon, and Ricardo Reyes for their allegedly rape of Pepsi Paloma but that’s another story lol. They were tied because of their song “Spoliarium”. Anyways, years have passed and they were still popular among the Filipinos and In 2008, they held a reunion concert but it was cut short after Ely Buendia had to be rushed to the hospital for chest pains. A year later in March 2009, the band reunited onstage for their reunion concert “The Final Set” ( "final set" daw pero eto magre reunion concert ulet ) xD.

After that each member has gone to their own paths pursuing their music careers with different groups.

The Summer Station ID clips will be re-used in the I Gotta Feeling music video from the future movie Ready Player One which will be releasing in March 21, 2013 from Walt Disney Pictures, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios. But somehow, This is the only Summer Station ID to feature actors from ABS-CBN, GMA and TV5.
