Sooooo I've been meaning to post it for like a month, but someone's depressed and has AuDHD so here comes)

This is a human version of my talented bestie's Lackadaisy OC Maura Venza. She has already received this present irl btw)

Venza Tavrus "Tav" Steelsong, a tiefling swords bard.

I've had so much fun designing this Tav! The character builder served as the reference. Venza was my chance to play around with colors and lean wholeheartedly into the gaudy bard aesthetic.

Some character roleplaying facts: he tells everyone who asks (and especially those who don't) that he got his scars in a fierce battle with a hippogriff—(or was it a chimera...? Or maybe a baby hydra...let's just agree to say it was all three)...but in actuality he got them when he tripped during swords practice as a young boy, fell, landed on his dropped blades and cut his cheek open.

His favorite color is purple (except for Tuesdays, when it changes to maroon), he plays the violin, he would die for his best bud Volo whom he's met all of two (2) times, and whenever the lockpick breaks while he's "investigating unfortunately unyielding chests," it's the lockpick's fault, not his, damn it.

For all his attention-seeking tendencies, he gets unexpectedly shy when complimented and prefers to work on new songs in private until he feels ready to share them.

✨Dance among the stars✨

Rocky and Maura couple standee! ✨🌙✨

I was truly inspired by the official standees, and when the idea of making a couple standee came to my mind, i rolled up my sleeves and put all my skills into drawing it. It's the first time I drew something in vector and, actually, am proud of how it turned out. My husband @lansayn recreated the official Lackadaisy standee's base and made the starry sky in the background, and I plan to add a LED light into the bottom part, making it kind of a famous footlight thing. Overall it will be a shining standee. :3

White Cherry flowers

...

It was a peculiar autumn day.

Peculiar in the sense that, miraculously, Maura had been able to afford a ticket for that new musical drama that had been advertised for an entire month.

"I don’t want to see it anyway," she told herself every time she had to make an expensive but completely necessary purchase.

If it wasn’t that old, annoying radio, it was the oven.

If it wasn’t the oven or the radio, it was buying new ingredients.

If it wasn’t the new ingredients, it was the radio again.

But now she had indulged herself for the weekend—she had no right to complain.

"I’m a girl, after all. A little entertainment won’t hurt me."

She was walking down the stairs of the old theater along with the rest of the crowd. Even with a sweater on, the cold stung her back. She paused for a moment, glancing at her coin purse.

Only five cents gleamed inside.

Just enough to get home and not afford any more "luxuries" for quite some time.

As she resumed her path, she hadn’t gone far when she heard a tiny voice with a peculiar accent.

"Good evening, sweet lady," said the voice. "Would you like to buy some flowers?"

But as always, the gesture was met with rejection.

That thing was like a ghost.

A ghost with a sickly, trembling, tiny frame.

Sometimes the word was flowers, other times it was flores.

"Could she be…? No, no, she can't be Italian," Maura thought, watching the young girl with a basket of multicolored flowers.

"Flores sounds like Fiori."*

She stepped down two stairs, and there she was—face to face.

She stood right in front of her.

What a cold day.

Innocence knew that wealthy people went to the theater, and she was sure she could at least earn a few coins to buy herself some cookies.

As she turned the corner near the theater, she adjusted her blue-gray veil to better cover her head from the autumn wind and peeked to see if the play had ended.

She sat on the empty steps to wait.

To many, her selling routine might seem boring, but not to her. Innocence liked watching the young women, hoping to copy a bit of their style—though, for example, she still wasn’t convinced about cutting her long hair up to her shoulders.

She ran a hand through a white strand and blew it away.

And then she recognized it—the old creaking sound of the theater doors opening. She quickly stood up, or at least as quickly as her wobbly legs allowed.

"Maybe I’ll see a famous person coming out; you never know," she thought, trying to hide her smile. "It must be wonderful to go out with an artist."

She took a deep breath and started her routine, approaching every honorable lady and gentleman, but all she received were shaking heads.

She still couldn’t give up.

From the crowd, her eyes landed on a young woman with long brown hair tied in a low ponytail.

"Oh God, she’s so pretty."

"Pretty like a white cherry blossom bud. She must be a famous artist—she looks so different from the others."

Innocence thought as she watched the young lady standing there, looking at her coin purse.

From her chapped lips, stuck together from the cold, only her usual words in her most basic English came out.

"Good evening, pretty lady." She extended her basket. "Would you like to take some flowers?"

A pair of restless, cold hands took a small bouquet of white cherry blossoms.

Innocence tried to smile, but she felt more of a painful pull on her dry lips than any pleasant sensation of happiness.

"Oh, I… I can’t…" Maura muttered, glancing back at her almost empty purse.

Innocence lowered her gaze and understood

"It’s okay, miss. Don’t worry. Thank you very much.

She turned to leave but heard determined footsteps behind her.

"Can you give me five cents’ worth of flowers?"

Maura felt silly asking for flowers as if she were buying flour by the kilo, yet she still held out her hand toward Innocence’s back.

Innocence felt her pale cheeks flush but nodded.

"Is there any flower you’d like in particular?"

"Those," Maura said, pointing at the tiny bouquet of cherry blossoms still in Innocence’s hand.

"Oh, but… There are better ones."

"These are fine," Maura repeated.

When the exchange was made, Maura held the tiny bouquet, and Innocence the coins.

"Well, I suppose I can walk home," Maura told herself.

As she was about to leave, it was Innocence’s turn to stop her.

"Thank you very much."

Innocence smiled at her again.

"By the way… You’re not from here, are you?" Maura asked, taking the chance while the flower girl was still near.

Innocence looked up, then down at her worn-out shoes, and shook her head.

"No, I’m not from here."

Maura smiled too, a hint of shyness in her expression.

"Me neither."

"By the way… You’re very pretty," the albino girl exclaimed. "Are you famous, miss?"

Maura laughed without meaning to.

"I wish! If I were, I wouldn’t have to walk all the way home."

Innocence looked her up and down, unconvinced.

"I don’t understand how you’re not a famous actress or a model like those girls in the magazines."

Innocence pulled out a crumpled, folded piece of paper from her pocket and showed it to Maura. It was an Alphonse Mucha painting.

"You look just like Mucha’s girls," Innocence said with a silly smile.

"I don’t think so. I don’t really feel like an Art Nouveau muse today," Maura said, letting herself laugh a little more.

Without realizing it, they started walking together along the sidewalk.

"And what’s your name?" Maura asked.

"Inocencia María Guadalupe Lunanova," she replied as they walked.

"Maura Venza. Nice to meet you, Innocence."

They exchanged a small handshake.

"And where are you from, Miss Maura?" Innocence asked, skipping over the street lines.

"Italy."

"Oh… Where is that?"

"In Europe. The one shaped like a boot."

Innocence almost tripped over a bump in the pavement but grinned.

"It must be beautiful there. Beautiful like you."

Maura waved her off with a laugh.

"Oh, stop it, bambina."

"Bambina? What does that mean?" Innocence stopped walking.

"Pretty little girl… But I think I should change it to Bambina parlante."

"For talkative?"

"Yes, because you never stop talking," Maura chuckled, and Innocence laughed too.

"I almost never talk, but I can’t stop if I have to compliment someone, MauMau."

"MauMau?"

Innocence nodded.

"You have a MauMau face… Like cats do."

"What a peculiar little woman," Maura thought. "And where are you from?"

"Mexico."

"So you speak Spanish?"

Innocence nodded.

"Then that means… maybe one day I could teach you Italian."

Innocence clapped excitedly.

"Really?"

Maura stuck her tongue out playfully and winked.

"Maybe yes, maybe no… Who knows?"

Maura’s smile faded as she saw her small restaurant at the next street corner.

"We’ve already arrived so quickly?" she thought.

"This is my home," Maura said.

Innocence looked across the street and nodded, returning to her timid, peaceful demeanor.

"I suppose we’ll meet again someday, Miss Maura."

"Do you have anywhere to go?" Maura asked on impulse.

Innocence shook her head.

Maura sighed and took her hand.

Innocence accepted.

Maura leaned against the counter as Rocky toyed with his violin.

"And how was the play, darling?"

"Well… it was fine."

The young man placed a hand on his chest.

"Just fine?"

Maura stroked a cherry blossom petal and tucked it behind Rocky’s ear.

"More interesting things happened outside."

Meanwhile, outside the small shop, Innocence sat on the steps with a cup of hot tea and a new scarf.

She peeked through the window and sighed.

"Oh, young love."

"Fragile yet beautiful, like a white cherry blossom petal."

She took a sip of her tea.
