Rewind Venti x GN!Reader
Synopsis: Meeting a young bard may have sealed your fate to a never-ending journey through Teyvat. Forever wandering and rewinding time. Fluff/Angst(?) Words: 700
Tumblr media
"Hey, how many times have we looped time now?"
"Hmm... This is the 10,039th loop…"
"That much, huh…?"
"Yes."
"How much more do you think we'll need?"
"Possibly a few thousand more, but hopefully this is the last."
"No, this has to be the last."
"Barbatos, if this attempt fails yet again, please take care of things for me."
"Alright. You can rest now. I'll take care of things."
Tumblr media
"Ah! Y/N! We meet again"
"I'm sorry, do I know you?"
"Ah—I—I mean, it's fair if you don't"
"After all, the last time we met was way back when we were kids, remember?" He sheepishly says, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Ah, I see…Oh! Could you perhaps be...Lar...Larka...? Yeah, Larka.." you pretended to remember. If you were being honest, you couldn't remember this man or anyone from your past.
All your memories from when you were aged 12 and below were eerily blank.
You wondered if you'd suffer from a head injury, but apparently you hadn't. It felt weird at first.
Like you just woke up from a long slumber. But...ah, how rude.
You've accidentally been staring at the lad while lost in your thoughts.
You look away, embarrassed. "S-Sorry…"
"It's alright, you can stare longer if you want." He playfully winks, making your already red face turn redder.
'Geez, we just met, and I already embarrassed myself.'
'But...strangely, I don't mind it much.'
Tumblr media
That was how you "first" met the young lad named "Venti."
He had beautiful turquoise eyes that seemed to hold the winds within, beautiful double-braided hair positioned on each side of his head, a voice that sounded as if it could grasp your heart warmly, and a touch that brought a sense of warmth, comfort, and familiarity.
He was an anomaly to you.
Suddenly appearing in your otherwise bleak life, brightening your world, and filling it with the brightest and most pleasant colors.
Tumblr media
Time seemed to pass by slowly, like a glacier. Seemingly frozen in time but moving.
And like glaciers, your life changes, albeit sometimes imperceptibly.
You don't know when it began, but you now often find yourself recollecting memories and experiences that you' swear you've never experienced before.
You felt like you were delusional. Crazy even.
But, if there was one thing you've noticed with these new memories resurfacing, it's that they always seem to predict the future. Like a prophetic dream.
So you've labeled it as that. A power to predict the future. A Prophecy.
Things had been going well. So well, even. And maybe that's why you're in a terrible situation right now. As a payment for all your fortune.
You were trapped in a cave with monsters pouring out endlessly from a hidden domain inside the cave.
How long have you been fighting?
You couldn't count the hours anymore. It felt like hundreds of years had passed already.
Picking up your sword once more, you ready yourself, clinging onto a sliver of hope that maybe, maybe someone would come to your rescue soon.
You just need to hold out for a bit more.
Seeing a mitachurl begin to swing its giant axe at you, you try to dodge, but alas, your tired body had reached its limit.
You couldn't move anymore. Even just holding your sword was draining the last of the energy you had.
'I guess this is it for me…' Closing your eyes, you await the feeling of an axe coming down to slice you in half, but it never comes.
Instead, you felt a calm, gentle breeze.
Opening your eyes, you see what seemed to be the gentle breeze brutally slicing the monsters to pieces. Like a gale.
'Someone..Someone found me..'
'I did it…I survived…' The thought of being saved after long, brutal hours of nonstop fighting hit your body with a wave of exhaustion. Unable to keep yourself up any longer, you collapse on the ground
Tumblr media
'Where am I...? '
"Barbatos! Catch it, it's escaping!"
'Huh? Barbatos...? The Anemo Archon? '
Just then a headache struck you. Like a needle pushing itself further inside you.
'Agh…My head…It hurts…'
"Flowers? For me? Aww, thank you!"
"Barbatos, look! Look! I made you a flower crown and...a matching flower ring just for the two of us."
"Barbatos, what is that?"
"What did you do?!"
"「⟄ v⟃⟔⟔⋖"
"I'm sorry... Please... Let me turn back the time once more."
"I'll do better the next time!"
"Ah...Ah...No...Not again…I don't want this ending."
Whirr
Click-click
Zzzziiip
"This time, I will save this world from destruction."
"B̷̌̈a̸̓̄ŕ̴̅b̸̑̕a̵̦͛t̷̿̾ó̵̀s̵̎̂will you join me in my perpetual journey?"

silent confessions
synopsis: the genshin men crushing on you and the little ways they show they care.
content: Kaeya/Venti/Alhaitham/ Arataki Itto x gender neutral reader. First time writing for venti so apologies if its a lil off. Fluff. Friends to lovers. Kissing in kaeya's. wingman diluc honestly. Going a lil feral in alhaithams and ittos. Use of nickname dear and cecilia<3 They are all quite long but I hope you all enjoy it! Not completely proofread. Let me know if there are any annoying mistakes!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⁎⁺˳✧༚ Kaeya໒꒱.*
Diluc is sure of three things. One, You're hands down single-handedly keeping the icedtea business alive in Mondstadt, his arms are still hurting from the heavy crates of imported tea from Liyue he has to carry every. Single. Week. Two, you're incredibly oblivious, three, kaeya is a lovesick fool.
Even though diluc has offered to deliver some iced tea crates to your home, it seems that you prefer to drink his stash empty at the bar next to kaeya.
It's making him ill really, seeing the way his brothers eyes keep drifting to your lips and how his hands inch closer to yours, still never really touching. Diluc almost doesn't recognize him. Kaeya is not the type to get flustered easily, if anything, try to make him flustered and it will backfire! but here he is, for hours sitting at the bar head leaning on his hands staring at you like you hung the stars.
You fail to notice how, despite not touching your drink for so long, at one point even dancing around the tavern when the bard played your favorite song, the icecubes in your glass never seem to melt and the tea never gets warm. It's the least he can do, Kaeya would be showing you more grand gestures of love if you didnt make his head fog up with hearts and flowers everytime your near.
"I'm going to use the bathroom, i'll be right back! "You say as you hop of the barstool and make your way to the second floor.
"This, is getting sad you know", diluc speaks as he snatches both yours and Kaeya's glass away, dodging quick enough as Kaeya tries to get it back
"Oh i'm sorry, I didn't know my love life was such an interesting show to you. I'll make sure to tell the writers"
Stupid arrogant oblivious brother of his
He's not gentle as he grabs one of the big pints, pours your favorite iced tea in with the ice cubes and slices of lemon and two straws this time and places it down infront of kaeya.
"I'm doing you a favor icicle"
Kaeya's unable to retort a remark back because you're sitting down next to him again.
"Ooh whats this, luc?" As you stir the tea with your straw, the ice cubes gently clinking against the edges of the glass
"On the house, it's the last"-he throws you a look- bit of icetea I have for tonight. Enjoy." And with that he steps out the backdoor for a break leaving you and kaeya in an almost empty tavern
He's feeling uncharacteristically shy sharing a drink like this. He's not sure he can contain the love confession thats lingering on his lips if you're that close to eachother. You snap him out of his thoughts before he can even try.
"Come on try this with me...its...its quite romantic don't you think" you say, a little timid
Youre killing him. Hes deceased y/n.
"Yeah, didn't- didnt realise Diluc had a romantic bone in him, guess it runs in the family after all"
You're not sure where you got the courage from for what you're about to say
"Maybe, we should do more of these romantic things together."
And just like that, knowing you shared his feelings, he got a bit of his charming wit back.
"My dear y/n- he starts, leaning down closer to you, one icy hand holding yours. Are you asking me out on a date" he wants to revel in making you flustered but he's pretty sure he looks just as flustered as you do.
"Only if you want to, Kaeya"
The way he presses his lips to yours gives you the answer you needed<3
Venti, alhaitham and itto under the cut!

Archons, the summer this time around is way hotter than any summers before. It's scorching outside and if it weren't for your knight of favonius duties, duties you took over for the Cavalry Captain for his day off (>:( ), you would stay inside the cool headquarters, in your little office with the curtains closed.
You really should get going but you're delaying stepping outside. The favonius headquarters is nice and cool and and looking outside you can see the heat radiating from the stone pathways
You're a knight of favonius! A little sunshine isn't going to hurt! You try to hype yourself up as you make it to the entrance. You can do this, who knows, you might even get a tan.
Bracing yourself and pushing the heavy doors open, you're pleasantly surprised at how the wind immediately seems to pick up and twirl and flow around you in cooling circles. Yes, the sun is still beaming down in all his glory, but the breeze definitely helps. You may even get through this without breaking too much of a sweat.
As you're doing your errands and run basically all over Mondstadt, the gentle breeze surrounding you never seems to falter, even now, as you carry heavy crates of sunsettias and apples up the stairs to Good Hunter, it actually seems like the wind has started to pick up, aiding you in its own way.
Sara is more than grateful as you place the crates down in the back for her. "You're a lifesaver y/n, please, go sit down and i'll whip something up for you".
Who are you to deny a break and a free meal?
Before you sit down you take off your sword and place it down next to you so you can completely unwind. It's not until you look back up from your weapon that you see Venti, with the bright smile he always seems to carry, sitting infront of you
"Hi, my sweet cecilia"
Archons, that nickname. You're lucky you can blame the weather on the sudden warmth flowing through your body.
"You're awfully happy for such a hot day, Venti"
He doesn't provide an answer to that, why is he so happy? Because he's with you of course, he's basically been spending the whole day with you, how could he not be happy?
instead of saying that tho he says "the wind is nice, hmm?" And On cue the wind stars to pick up again, now carrying the scent of the meal Sara is cooking up for you and twirling a few flower petals that got caught in it around you You little
"Yeah it is, i'm not sure I would have been able to get through the day without a little breeze in my face" you laugh and it's the sweetest melody he's ever heard.
"I guess the anemo archon has a soft spot for me"
"I suppose he does"
You fail to catch the longing glint in his eyes and the blush covering his cheeks as Sara brings you your meal<3
Oh my dear y/n if only you knew.
Tumblr media
⁎⁺˳✧༚ Alhaitham໒꒱.*
It's not until Kaveh points it out, after Alhaitham leaves to pick up another book from the House of Daena library shelves, that you realize it, but it seems that Alhaitham, despite looking like he wants to be anywhere but here, always seems to look out for you.
Like the time he dragged you to the desert to study runes with him, he made sure every time you two stood still for a long time, he'd raise his cape a little above your head, sheltering you from the burning sun
And that one time where he grabbed your arm and pulled you into his side when some drunkards stumbling home almost bumped into you
"Drop your pen when he gets back" kaveh says, breaking you out of your thoughts.
"Drop my-"
"Sshh, just do it" he hushes quickly and goes back to drawing as Alhaitham sits back down next to you with a new book in his hand.
You let Alhaitham read a few more pages before you "accidentally" drop your pen under the table, sliding your seat back and ducking under to retrieve it, when you look back up to avoid hitting your head on the corner of the table, Alhaithams hand is already covering it. His gaze is still as focused as ever on the book infront of him, it's almost like it happened entirely subconsciously, like it was already engraved in his perception to look out for you and that alone made the butterlies in your tummy flutter around. You don't miss the "I told you so" gaze Kaveh throws at you.
Alhaithams book manages to hide the gentle smile he failed to hold back as he guesses from the look on your face and body language that you're onto him, and if he can guess one more time, he'd say the feelings are mutual.
He doesn't say anything but he does reach under you to grab the leg of your chair and pull you closer to him, arm draped behind you over the backrest, gently drawing shapes on your shoulder as he continues to read his book
*Did ya'll see that one nick jonas clip where he pulls her chair closer? Yeah? Thats alhaitham.
Tumblr media
⁎⁺˳✧༚ Arataki Itto໒꒱.*
The locals of Inazuma are used to the never ending thundering and lightning. Even on clear days, it seems like you can always hear it lurking in the distance, dancing over the seas. Unfortunately for you, you’re not a local and despite having been here for a while, long enough to develop strong friendships and perhaps a little crush <3 the loud claps of thunder and the lightning that cracks open the clouds still make you flinch
You were embarrassed about it, so you never voiced it out to your friends. You would just try to hide your flinches and do your best to block out the noise. You're not doing that very well unfortunately. Itto has noticed, and boy does it make his heart hurt a little every time he catches you trying to hide it. You're part of the gang! Whether you know  that or not, you're supposed to be able to tell him these things! but he understands, you seem to think that you're going to look weak in front of Arataki numero uno claymore swinging devil beatbox and beetle fighting legend Itto. He made me write this really You could never considering he gets weak in the knees everytime you make eye contact or touch his horns
So as the leader of your gang, your best friend and hopefully future boyfriend, he’s gonna help you because If there's one thing Itto is good at its being loud. It’s quite hard to hear the thunder lurking in the background when Itto's boisterous laugh as he’s "winning" a game of TCG seems to overpower everything, including the way your heart beats a little faster when he smiles at you.
You didn’t notice what he was doing until there was a summer storm forecasted. You didn't even have time to mentally prepare yourself for it before there was a harsh knocking at your door, maybe a bit to hard itto pls dont break the door
"Open up sunshine, I have some snacks :D"
He’s quick to make himself comfortable as you let him in, throwing the impressive amount of snacks and some card games on the coffee table and then taking up half the space on the couch, being careful to not knock the lamp on the sidetable down with his horns.
"Not that I mind Itto, but i didn't expect you to come over. Any reasons?"
"Yeah you're"- he cuts himself off. You never told him about your fear of thunder, would it upset you if you knew he figured it out?, archons he didnt think of an excuse what should he say, where is Kuki in times like this
"Yeah, I just thought i’d keep you some company because I AM afraid of summerstorms, yup, totally terrifying, so scary,so here i am."
Even he knows it's not believable. Especially since he has directed some...colorful words with the shogun before (not in her presence)
You are afraid”-
AND AND I thought, you know, maybe, since were all going to be locked up in our houses anyway we could have a little at home date......:D
Archons, Itto, if the storm isn't going to kill you its him. He's been aware of your fear and silently tried to help you with it? And now he has basically slipped a confession in trying to hide the fact he knows about your fear? He's such a teddybear fr
You don't fight the smile that's pulling at the corners of your mouth as you sit down next to him. Pressing a kiss to his cheek and pretending not to notice the hitch in his breath "Thank you, Itto"

We Were Nothing the Wind Couldn't Catch - pt. 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
>>Part 1<<
Venti x gn!reader
Genre: Fluff, Rivals with repressed feelings
Word count: ~1.8k
Warnings: Sassy bard
Summary: You find yourself strumming a tune that's been on your mind as the day comes to a close, only to find that even as night draws near, you still have an audience.
Tumblr media
The moonlight drapes over Mondstadt like a muted shawl. The flames of lamps and lanterns flicker on their crooked posts, their oil nearly spent as the street’s signs creak where they hang, tired banners swaying in the breeze with no one left to see them. You settle on the edge of the fountain in the market square, the cold of the stone seeping through your sturdy clothes, the familiar weight of your lyre resting in your lap. The square is empty. Even the wind whispers only in hushed tones at this hour.
You didn’t exactly plan to come back here tonight. You had a great few days, your performances vastly improved after your last encounter with Venti. Somehow, that irritated you too. You were improving at your craft, but it still felt like a loss.
Your fingers move anyway, ghosting over the strings. One note, then another, light as breath, unsure as an unasked question. You tell yourself it’s just to loosen the tension in your hands, to not let the cool wind of the night give you a chill… But you can’t fool yourself entirely.
And still, somehow, it’s his melody that comes.
Soft and slow, an elegant composition. The one he left, scratched in ink on a scrap of parchment that must have somehow slipped into your pocket a couple mornings ago.
You pause, press your thumb hard against a string, constraining the sound before you let it go. But it’s too late. The wind has already taken the notes, winding them through shuttered windows and sleeping streets. They sound different in the open air… Gentler, almost tender.
You hate that.
You hate how the lyrics lingers in your mouth. How your hands keep finding the chords.
How he’s not here, and somehow it still feels like you’re playing for him.
The last few notes trail off, barely audible beneath the soft rusting of leaves in the wind. You don’t play another chord at first. You just sit there, staring at your trembling fingers like they’ve betrayed you. Because they have.
They often do when Venti’s concerned.
You try to summon the old feeling. The irritation, the sharp edge of your voice when quarreling with the bard. The way his grin makes your blood rise, how every word from his mouth is just clever enough to be unbearable. You want to be angry. You should be angry.
But here you are. Playing his music, as an admission of defeat.
You lean back, letting your head tip toward the sky, eyes half-closed as the stars blink down at you with a cold indifference. Venti’s melody still echoes through your mind, like the echo of something you never agreed to carry. You should’ve burned that scrap of parchment before the notes burned themselves into your mind like that. Before the lyrics etched themselves into your mind and played over and over again, refusing to die down unless you were to utter them out loud.
You think of his hands. Quick, smug, impossibly sure of himself. The way he plays as if the whole world exists only to listen, muses as if the very heavens seek to be his audience. You recall the way he looked at you last time, head tilted, voice a little too quiet, like he’d caught onto something you were trying to conceal.
You exhale sharply, shaking your head. This is nothing. He’s just in your head because he put himself there. That’s what he does. That’s how it always is. How else would he rise to such popularity so quickly? It’s not like his compositions are that vastly different from the tens of other bards running around Mondstadt.
And still, his melody lingers on your lips, in the very back of your throat as you choke it back with all your might.
You’re not thinking about how his hands held yours so much more softly than you expected of him, how the light flutter of his cloak graced your thigh, how the rumble in his chest when he whispered patient instructions to you resonated within your own.
You’re not thinking about any of that.
Another gust of wind sighs through the square, cool against your cheeks. You curl your fingers tighter around the lyre’s frame and close your eyes.
You tell yourself it’s just a stupid song.
You tell yourself it doesn’t mean a single thing.
You repeat it until your fingers strike upon the strings again, strumming out the melody for what you once again swear is the last time tonight.
"You chase the sun with stubborn feet," The words are so simple, and yet not at all. You don’t know why you foolishly keep singing it. You don’t want to know why this song of his feels like it’s stuck in your throat now.
You press your thumb against another string, stilling it before strumming the next chord. "I watched you once and lost my beat." Your voice falters just a little. You can't help it. You do lose your rhythm quite often, don’t you? Lost in the moment you realize you aren’t playing just to pass the time anymore. The melody caught you, and you’ve been chasing it ever since.
A quick, almost bitter breath escapes you as you strum again, the next line slipping out without permission. "You play like joy’s a clever thief." The words are sharp, almost accusing. You want them to sting. You want to believe the song is a game, something to pick apart and break into pieces… But it’s not. It’s too beautiful. It’s too true.
You push your fingers across the strings harder than necessary, and sing the final line, the one you’ve been avoiding even in your own mind. "And I, a song you half-believe." The words linger in the air like they’re meant for someone else. You let the last note fall, resonant yet final, and the indifferent silence of the summer night that follows feels heavier than any of the chords you’ve played up until now. As the final note fades and you sit there with your hands still on the strings, you hear the faint yet unmistakable sound of steps against the cobblestone. The voice that speaks up soon after is equally distinct. Of course it had to be him again…
"Ah. So that’s where my composition went."
You almost flinch at his comment. How in the world are you supposed to explain this now…? You don’t look back. You don’t dare to just yet. Venti’s footsteps are soft against the worn stones as he approaches, slow and deliberate. He comes to a stop behind you, hiding right at the edges of your vision. You can practically hear the grin in his voice, even if you can’t see it.
"I thought it sounded familiar," he muses almost idly. "Though, I have to admit, I didn’t expect such a heartfelt recital. You flatter me."
Your jaw clenches. You hate how warm your face suddenly feels again. You tell yourself it’s the summer air, a breeze too warm. The memory of the sun on your skin. Blaming anything but your racing heart. You try to focus on the lyre’s sturdy strings instead. One is slightly out of tune. You pluck it once, twice, and ignore him.
"Really, I should thank you," Venti says, casually, like he’s merely commenting on the weather. "That song needed the right voice. Yours will do nicely."
You finally reply, low and flat. "It’s the middle of the night. Don’t you have somewhere else to be?" He hums in mock thought.
"No. Not really."
Then nothing. Just him standing there, the breeze ruffling his cloak, and the quick, steady thrum of your heart hammering in your chest. He’s waiting. You don’t know for what, and you’re not about to ask.
Venti lets the silence stretch for a beat longer before leaning back on his hands, voice as casual as ever.
"You should perform it."
You blink, stare at the ground. "What?"
"The song," he says, and you can hear the grin widen in his voice. "Our little collaboration. I think the townsfolk would love it. A tale of stolen sunlight and repressed affection… It practically begs to be heard, no?"
You finally look at him, glare sharpening. "It’s not a collaboration."
He raises a brow teasingly, smirking slightly askew. "Could’ve fooled me. You sang it like you wrote it."
You turn back to your lyre, strumming a sharp, tense chord. "I wouldn’t perform for you if the square were on fire and I had nowhere else to be."
He chuckles. "Oh, don’t be like that. It might even improve your usual material. Give it some actual feeling."
You shoot him an incredulous look. "...Excuse me?"
"I’m only saying," he continues, with the smug ease of someone very aware he’s hit a nerve, "Your last piece about the moonlight and the dying tree? It lacked a certain… How shall I put it…? Conviction. A bit hollow, as if you were writing for applause, not from the heart."
Your fingers dig into the wood of your lyre. "And yours are?"
"Mine at least have grit. And the occasional soul."
"You really think highly of yourself."
"Not at all," Venti says, smiling faintly now. "Just high enough to know when you’re running scared."
That shuts you up for a couple seconds.
You strum a single note, low, rough-edged. "It’s just a song."
"Of course," he says, far too easily. "All the best ones are."
You rise slowly, careful not to let your movements betray the knot in your chest. The lyre stays on your lap a moment longer, your fingers still curled tight around its carefully carved frame, like it might steady you. Then you set it down gently. It doesn’t deserve to face the brunt of the frustration simmering beneath your fingertips.
You dust off your clothes, focusing on the motion and the grain of the fabric beneath your palms. Maybe if you keep moving, he won’t see the heat still clinging to your face. Maybe if you leave now, you won’t have to think about the way his voice sank on that last line, like he meant it.
"Get some sleep," you say, low and tense, not quite a dismissal, but almost.
Venti doesn’t reply right away. You can almost feel his gaze on your back, weighing more than it should.
"Sweet dreams," he says finally, and there’s no teasing in it this time. Just something quiet. Something bordering on genuine. Something you refuse to give any further thought.
You pick up your lyre and walk away without another word, before your throat can betray you. The stone beneath your shoes is uneven, every step heavier than the last. You don’t look back. You insist to nobody in particular that it’s because you don’t care. But the melody lingers in your mind, soft and persistent, long after the square is behind you. No matter how many twists and turns you take through the empty streets, you just can’t seem to walk far enough to leave it behind.

Cuddling Headcanons ♡
⟡ Contains: Character x Gn!Reader, Sfw, Fluff
⟡ Diluc, Albedo, Venti, Dottore, Alhaitham
Tumblr media
Diluc ˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗
After an especially tiring day at work, the thing that Diluc needed most was to lay down next to his beloved. As he walked through the door, you took his coat and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. He embraced you for a moment, breathing in your scent, which always seemed to calm him down. Once Diluc released you, you took his hand in yours and brought him to the bedroom. Hugging you from behind, he laid down next to you on the bed and rested his head on your shoulder. All the stresses from his day melted away, and the only thing he cared about was you. As you drifted off, Diluc gently whispered words of affection into your ear. He made sure you had no doubt that he loved you more than anything else.
Tumblr media
Albedo ⋆⭒˚。⋆
Albedo, as an introverted alchemist, spent most of his time alone. On top of that, being an artificial human, he never knew that he could even experience love. But when you came into his life, everything changed. He hated being away from you, and you were the one person he always wanted around. As you and Albedo lay in bed, he slowly ran his fingers over your neck. The red marks of your earlier activities were scattered all over it, and Albedo couldn’t help but feel slightly proud of himself. Those marks showed that you were his—and his alone. Albedo moved his head down to listen to the slow beat of your heart; something about it always fascinated him. He loved every inch of your body, and he smiled gently as he pulled you closer to him. You played with Albedo’s hair as he drifted off, which was something that always soothed him.
Tumblr media
Venti °❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
On some days, Venti would stumble home at night completely drunk. Ignoring your scolding, he’d throw himself into your arms and beg you to cuddle him. Despite being annoyed by his bad habit of drinking so much, you found it very hard to stay mad at him. The way his eyes sparkled as he smiled at you with flushed cheeks instantly melted your heart, and you agreed. Leading him to the bedroom, you laid down and pulled him into your arms. You could smell the scent of wine all over him, but you found that you didn’t really care. You quite liked having him in your embrace, even if he smelled like the tavern. Venti nuzzled his face into your neck, squeezing you as tight as he could. Even if you couldn’t see his face, you could tell he was smiling widely.
Tumblr media
Dottore .𖥔 ݁ ˖˚☽˚。⋆
After spending the whole day cooped up in his lab, Dottore was glad to be able to relax. He simply couldn’t sleep without having you in his arms, and he had been eagerly awaiting spending time with you after his awfully boring work day. You were waiting for him in bed, and you smiled as he opened the door. Dottore took you into his embrace and rested his chin on top of your head. In that position, your head was nestled gently against his chest. The slow rhythm of Dottore’s heartbeat lulled you to sleep as he stroked your hair. Something was magical to him about how defenseless you looked as you slept—a silent reminder of how fragile your mortality was. The way you trusted Dottore with your life made his heart flutter a little. Nothing could ever compare to how much he loved being close to you.
Tumblr media
Alhaitham .⋆✮ ✧̣̇˳·˖✶
Alhaitham always stayed up too late at night, studying and whatnot. You’d always wait for him to come to bed, but oftentimes you became impatient. This evening, you walked out to the living room, where Alhaitham was sitting. Absorbed in another book, he didn’t even look up as you walked over to him. Without a word, you pushed the hand holding the book out of the way and wrapped your arms around his neck. Looking up, Alhaitham couldn’t even speak before you kissed him. Seated comfortably on his lap, he embraced you gently as you told him how much you missed his company. Moving one arm under your legs and one around your back, Alhaitham picked you up bridal style and carried you to your room. Only you knew the sweetness hidden by his prickly personality.

written by a minor, dni if uncomfortable
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
venti who loves the shape of your cock in his mouth, who adores the cute noises you make when he hollows his mouth, sucking with fervent need. although having experienced many long years as an archon, his favorite sound to hear in the wind is your moans reverberating in the upstairs floor of the tavern. he drags a long, straight trail from the base of your cock to the tip with his tongue, batting his eyes through his eyelashes.
he can’t help but think you’re so adorable! he can excuse you trying to hide your whimpers, after all, you’re in public, and he can’t have anyone but himself hear you after all. but there’s also another reason why, the wind hears all, and by extension, himself as well! the archon is truly accommodating, but never merciful, as he pushes himself down until his nose touches your pelvis, despite your pleas. he won’t make any sly comments during this, but the way he fondles your balls with his slender fingers tells you plenty of his intentions.
he hums, vibrating your dick inside his mouth, and you can’t help but cum, shooting hot spurts of white down his throat, and like the greedy man he is, he pulls away, opening his mouth to expose your seed inside with a grin, before swallowing. “did you enjoy that?” he’ll giggle, “let’s head home, there’s more i want to show you.” you have a feeling this won’t end anytime soon.
IM SO SORRY FOR RESPONDING LATE GRAHHH please…. the food is months late but hot and fresh!!!

Can't sleep?
Tumblr media
Venti x Gn!Reader
Genre: fluff
(Note: A drabble for my insomniacs)
Tumblr media
You've been tossing and turning all night, small huffs escaping your lips as your mind just won't stop running. "Come on brain..." You groan out, feeling your exhaustion rise, yet your body nor mind will relax.
After a few more additional moments of trying to sleep, you give up. With a defeated sigh, you sit up in your bed, carding a hand through your hair as you try to brainstorm some ways of falling asleep. With no other option left, all you have is your beloved, Venti, to perhaps soothe you to sleep.
You stand up, the bed frame creaking from the change in weight, and you set out to Venti's bedroom. Normally, you'd be hesitant to knock on his door, not wanting to wake him up, but his lights on and you can hear the faint sound of a pen against paper. You gently knock on his door, not wanting to startle him nor ruin his train of thought.
"Ah... Come in." You can hear him call out, his writing stopping momentarily before continuing. You walk in and see him at his desk, a sheet of paper in front of him, with an ink bottle and feathered pen in his hand for writing. He takes a moment and looks at you, a gentle smile on his face, and his untied braids framing his cheeks perfectly. "Can't sleep?"
"Always..." You mutter, stepping inside and gently shutting the door behind you.
Venti hums, pointing to the chair next to him before he continues on writing. "Sit next to me, Windblume; lay your head in my lap if you'd like." He mutters, his voice drawing out as he focuses on writing once again.
You do exactly as he says and sit down, laying your head on his lap, and immediately you can feel your exhaustion getting to you. It's funny how just a bit of time with your lover can help you calm down; especially the sound of him writing, just the little things he does can work. Your eyes slowly close, and he starts to hum, one of his hands abandoning his desk in favor of gently stroking your hair.
"It seems like tonight's just a restless night for the both of us." He starts, before chuckling and continuing. "I couldn't sleep, so I decided to write some poems." He goes silent again, finishing up his poem you assume before he stops again, an almost silent sigh coming from him as he gently grabs one of your hands.
"We can sleep together." You suggest, opening your eyes and looking at him—he looks down and stares into your eyes back, smiling softly. "Yeah, we could."
Tumblr media
A/N: Writing this bc it's 3:00 AM and I can't sleep, and I could really use some Venti cuddles. If only he existed. #Lonelyblankhours. But as always, if you'd like to make a request, read this first; and I love you all! ~Blank♡

In this today's chapter... (Drum rolls, please) It's Venti's turn!! (Scaramouche is now called Wanderer in here)
To know more about the story, read chapter 1 and 2 first ^^
Perviously...
Xiao joined the music club that was suggested (encouraged) by Venti! Now, you're the club manager, more like a band manager.
You're currently on your way back to the clubroom after shopping for some clothes with Heizou. Both of you returned to the clubroom to check up on the others. Apparently, you assigned them tasks, such as practicing and honing their skills on their respective instruments or refining their choreography.
Everyone was exhausted from the moderately challenging tasks. As soon as you slid the door open, a chilling gust of wind and an eerie atmosphere engulfed you. The deeper you ventured into the room, the more oppressive the feeling became. You spotted Xiao hunched over the table, his head supported by his hand. Relief washed over you at the sight of someone familiar.
"Goodness, Xiao," you exclaimed. "You really startled me. What happened to the clubroom? How did it end up like this?"
You scanned the gloomy clubroom as you spoke. Xiao replied, "We pushed ourselves too hard." Heizou entered and pulled Venti and Wanderer out, asking, "What's going on?" Venti, lying on the ground, responded with a laid-back tone that contrasted with his somber appearance, "We were just working ourselves to the bone."
"Alright!! From now on, let's work hard to improve our band!" Venti exclaimed. "I think I know a live venue. I can try to get you guys in," you offered, taking out your phone to search for the live venue's location. "Ooh, it's not so far from my house," Heizou mentioned. "Maybe we can drop by Heizou's place! Hehhe..." Venti chuckled. "My mother isn't that strict, so it's fine," Heizou added. After a while, you shared all the information about the live venue and the plan
You sighed and opened the curtains and the window. "Also, where's Kazuha?" Heizou asked. Kazuha entered the clubroom with a bunch of cookies on a tray he was carrying. "Anyone want some cookies?" Kazuha said with a smile on his face and bright eyes. "YES!!" everyone exclaimed and sat down to enjoy the fresh cookies. "Delicious!" You complimented the cookies; they tasted like Subway's cookies. They all ate happily. "Kazuha always makes great cookies, nom nom," Venti praised with his mouth full of red velvet cookies. "You know, maybe you could teach me how to cook sometime!" You suggested. "Last year, I was in the cooking club, so, of course, I know how to make several snacks." Kazuha took one of the cookies and fed himself, a small sparkle lighting up Kazuha's eyes. "hmm... nom nom," Kazuha said with a contented expression.
"right, so all we need to do is to have a song!"
After the club meeting ended, everyone said their goodbyes and headed home. You were walking back when Venti quickly caught up, exclaiming, 'Hey there, Y/N! Wait for meeee!!' Venti grabbed your hand, 'Let's stop at this new maid cafe!' Venti pointed at the cafe, and you were intrigued, chuckling as you entered.
Venti may appear to be very extroverted, but he prefers to converse with those he's already friends with. Since you're childhood friends with Venti, you can probably predict his every move. He and Shenhe were the kind of people you never thought you'd need.
"Hmm!! The chocolate mint cake actually tastes good!" Venti exclaimed. "Say ahh~!!" He carefully placed a small portion on his fork to share with you, knowing you didn't have any money and just wanted to accompany him. "Ahh..! Nom." You eagerly took a bite, savoring the delightful blend of mint and the rich flavors of chocolate and peanuts. "It tastes amazing, actually!" You were pleasantly surprised by the unexpected treat. Initially, both of you had doubts about the cake's taste, but now you both realized it was quite delicious!
Talking about Venti, hes not that very interested in trends or anything, he just like to stick to his own clan instead of trying to fit in.
After paying, Venti walks happily with you all the way home, content after satisfying his appetite. Venti chuckles, then strides forward and glances back at you while still walking, saying, 'Let's dine there again sometime! I'd love to treat you once more...' He mischievously laughs as he playfully runs away from you.
You were confused by Venti's new behaviour.

Mark of an Archon ft. Venti / Zhongli / Ei / Focalors / Nahida / Neuvillette + gn!reader
cw/tags: Mostly suggestive but nsfw in some parts (mostly Zhongli, Neuvillette) marking, kissing.
notes: Alright so... this is different from anything I've written before but I got inspired by the concept of the elemental symbols used as marks by the Archons to denote those important to them. Just short fluffy little dabbles I guess, first time writing everyone except the dragon men heh. I tried REALLY HARD to keep this gender neutral and be inclusive in descriptions but regardless, reader bottoms lmao. Hope y'all like it. (Y'all will NEVER guess where did I get the inspiration for all the marks' placements hehe) Edit: Y'all I have never played obey me WHEEZE the marks placement actually comes from a very old magical girl anime I loved as a kid XDDDD (except geo, it was on the belly button but-//hit)
Tumblr media
It is said that the Archons place a mark on the body of their loved ones. A symbol of protection, perhaps of “ownership”, imbued with their elemental energy. Legends has it that they remain mostly invisible to the naked eye, glowing brightly only when the Archon in question touches it, but leaving behind a distinctive trace able to be identified with elemental sight.
However, none of this has been proven at all, and remains mostly as a fantastic tale, just a rumor…
Or is it?
-Barbatos
Venti’s mark rests between your shoulder blades, the small Anemo sigil emulating tiny wings in the most appropriate of places. It makes him fond of calling you his “angel”, though, you know it cannot compare to his own real wings... it makes your heart flutter nonetheless.
It remains mostly covered, and yet without fail, Venti’s hand would always gently rest on it before his hand slides over to your shoulder or waist. At this point the touch soothes you and you’ve come to expect it every time you enter Angel’s share and bright Aqua eyes land on you.
In the dark of night, those precious moments of closeness and passion among the bedsheets, Venti’s nimble fingers, calloused by the Lyre and the bow alike, trail along your spine and stop at the mark, before he leans in and places a kiss on it.
For the God of Freedom to brand someone like this… it would seem as a contradiction, but you know it to be his blessing, his vow to you and your love. As his lips go up to your shoulder and his hands slide down to your waist, sneaking between your legs, he closes his eyes and hums a soft tune.
-Morax
The Geo mark is found on a rather unusual place, and to tell the truth, it even embarrassed you a little at first. The golden diamond placed just below your navel, partially hidden by the line of your underwear. When asked about it, Zhongli simply murmured something about dragon mating, fertility or virility… his cheeks dusted red.
You admit though, that once you get used to it, you do find yourself idly tracing it from time to time. Sometimes it seems to glow softly, or feel warm, perhaps responding to the Archon when he thumbs gently at it, contrasting and comparing with his own blackened arms, etched with veins of gold. Amber eyes staring up at you with love and desire as he places a kiss on it making you shiver.
Zhongli constantly wants to mark you more, in all sorts of ways. Drape you in silks and cover you in gemstones and gold. Leave bite marks along your skin. Douse you in his scent. It appeases his draconic instincts. But nothing compares to that little geo sigil, a personal indisputable claim, tattooed on your skin.
In a way, the mark could be taken as the God of Contracts’ signature and an unbreakable oath to you, his mate. It makes the dragon purr as he rolls his hips into yours, sinking deep inside you and making you whine as his palm presses against it.
-Beelzebul
Right at the center of your collarbone, like a pendant held by an invisible necklace, that is where the Electro mark was placed by Ei. Sometimes it’s a real shame it can’t be seen normally by humans, it would make for a pretty nice tattoo…
It’s not like the Electro sigil is rare to see anyway, quite the contrary, a rather popular choice and common sight all over Inazuma with deep cultural and religious meanings alike honoring Her Excellency. But one look from a youkai or one of the mikos at Narukami shrine and you know this is different.
Ei could act aloof and have a hard time expressing or understanding feelings, but the way she looks at you as she straddles you… dark violet hair cascading down her back and sides, hands roaming your chest and settling at your shoulders. She pins you there under her intense purple gaze and then bends forward to kiss at the sigil before moving to your lips.
The Goddess of Eternity considers her choices deeply and rarely ever goes back on her word or breaks a promise, and that is what she bestows upon you with her mark, a promise. Of love, of respect, of loyalty. Who would’ve thought the Electro Archon could be so… passionate?
-Focalors
You couldn’t believe just where Lady Furina had placed a pretty, blue, Hydro symbol on your skin. When asked about it she’d just giggled and said everything had a reason when it came to divine marks such as these… then proceeded to not explain at all. But seriously, your inner thigh?!
You could only sigh but smile softly at her antics as she laid across the couch, head rested in your lap, taking a nap by using your thighs as pillow, or demanding to be fed more sweets and sputtering indignantly when you poke at her nose or cheek instead, blushing.
She often drives you insane, paying special attention to the hydro marking with kisses and nibbles when you need her lips to go just a little more to the side… but oh, how she enjoyed teasing and riling you up. Mismatched blue eyes blinking coyly under thick eyelashes.
This is Lady Furina’s pledge to you, her word of honor as the Goddess of Justice, to love and cherish you no matter what. For despite her innocent act, she is guilty of having fallen for you.
-Bonus: Buer (Platonic)
Many people underestimate and doubt Nahida. A grave sin, in your opinion. When she places her mark of Dendro softly in your forehead, you feel nothing but pride, willing to follow and defend her and her teachings, for it is an honor to be her acolyte.
You see her wisdom in her actions, in the contemplating looks at her beloved city and people, in the way she always tries to solve problems and learn from difficulties, in her kindness, gentleness and little smiles. You see her love in the way she helps the elderly and soothes the children, in the candied ajilenakh nuts she shares with everyone, in the sparkle of her unique green eyes.
Like any other Archon, her nation and all its inhabitants are like her children. Despite her preferred appearance, the way she holds your hand as she guides you along and brushes at your hair gently with comforting words and praise feel more akin to a mother.
Just as you trust her, she trusts you, that is the covenant her sigil represents. And in the eyes of the Goddess of Wisdom, one day you’ll reach the sky and stars above.
-Bonus II: Hydro Dragon Sovereign
You stare at the sigil in the palm of your hand. An ancient symbol of power, no doubt, but with a meaning long since lost to time and shrouded in mystery. Yet, its significance is crystal clear to you: “I am yours as you are mine.”
The way the Iudex would always, without fail, hold your hand gently and kiss your palm instead of the back of it as it was traditional would no doubt confuse some people, but it makes your heart skip a beat. This special connection, the knowing look from those gorgeous lavender eyes and the hidden smile pressed against your skin…
Your back arches with a moan as Neuvillette ruts softly into you, slow and reverent, peppering kisses and nuzzling at your neck. His hand takes a hold of yours, fingers intertwining and you shiver as the marking in your palm seems to react. Your grip his hand tighter, canting your hips as well and surrounding him with your legs, asking for more, more, more-
It’s unknown if one day his kind will return to power, just as it’s impossible to predict the flow of the elements and the energy in leylines or just what the future will bring. But for Neuvillette, having you by his side feels like the most refreshing spring water and makes life that much sweeter.

traversing the planets that sprinkle the gorgeous celestial galaxy above has led you to a sticky situation. for the past several months you’ve been wandering around the land known as ‘teyvat’ with the kind traveler aiding you as someone who understands your predicament all too well.
it wouldn’t have been so weird for you as a trailblazer - after all, a nameless’s job is to explore the cosmos and the planets that dot the universe - but what made it undoubtedly difficult was the fact you were: A. alone. B. in a whole different branch of the imaginary tree. C. completely attached to a person from this precarious world.
see, over the course of your adventure you’ve met so many different types of people; some the equivalent of scraping nails on a chalkboard and some…or should i say someone, who’s been at your loving side ever since their heart skipped a beat for you.
R. DILUC — 迪卢克
ʚ diluc doesn’t like to assume things unless it’s built on a foundation of logic and evidence. so this was an absolute surprise to him.
ʚ your sweet and silly habits, the little mumbles you kept to yourself, your reliance on him to converse with others…he thought those were just endearing quirks of yours! not because you were from a whole other world!!
ʚ listen, he’s not mad, per se. you’re the love of his life (as absolutely corny as that sounds), but he doesn’t appreciate having something like this be brought up so randomly and not with precaution. the traveler was one thing, this was another. he loved you. he needs to sit down for a moment…
ʚ in the grand scheme of things, this revelation made a lot of sense. there were moments you mentioned little tidbits about your personal life where it had him scratching his head. you were freely allowed to have secrets and friends outside of mondstadt…but it came to a point where he was absolutely sure you were making things up.
ʚ what do you mean you reminded him of a man called argenti? he didn’t particularly enjoy getting compared to another man of all things…but you seemed pretty happy with yourself so he’ll let it slide. you’re missing someone named…kiana? well, he’s not exactly sure who that is, but he’d be happy to escort you to meet them?
ʚ it was sweet, really—how much he tried to appease your little waves of nostalgia and nights of sorrow with nonchalant compliance while he had no knowledge of your situation. but, now that he has…everything has become so much more convoluted.
ʚ he’s already a man of very few words, preferring actions to prove his love than mere bluffs—but how was he meant to show you anything when all you ever want is something out of his reach?
ʚ diluc has never been in a position where he couldn’t give someone he loved something they desired. you manage to surprise him even now.
ʚ aside from the guilt he feels about not being able to give you more than a hug and a kiss with a muttered “it’ll be okay, sweetheart”, he’s utterly proud and in awe of you.
ʚ you were truly something else in battle. fierce, swift, barely visible through smoke and gashes of elements bombarding together like an alchemy lesson gone wrong—he couldn’t have asked for a better partner.
ʚ if diluc was one for relaxing in fairytale bliss, he wouldn’t hesitate to lean back as you slaughtered with delicate ease with a dreamy grin on his face.
VENTI — 温迪
ʚ venti knows every song from the past, present and the future. the future being the most helpful for situations like this.
ʚ but he certainly didn’t expect for you to just say it out right! i mean, he had suspicions (you called him wendy upon your first meeting, he immediately knew there was something curious about you…), but you’ve never really mentioned it before.
ʚ his initial reaction was a mix of unbridled curiosity and utter joy. he has SO many questions which he will let you use as payment instead of mora for every ballad and sonnet he sings for you. but also… you trusted him with this information? fr? (>﹏<)
ʚ he is SO down for you to chat shit about people who pissed you off in your world. will he understand any of the factions or wars involved? nope! but he’s always willing to listen to his windblume when they’re caressing and squshjng at his cheeks as a form of venting relief.
ʚ not only are you a super intriguing storyteller, one that does a heck of a good job to give him the proper material for future ballads, you’re so powerful and talented it makes him shiver! (*≧ω≦)
ʚ he already loved watching your skilful fingers wrap around a weapon…but watching your entire demeanour shift and posture straighten after you’ve left a residue of dust from a hoard of enemies? ooh you’ve got him wrapped around your finger.
ʚ there is a certain bittersweetness to your predicament however… being the god of the freedom of all things means a lot of things, but one thing in particular that makes his heart ache: eventually, he’ll have to let you go.
ʚ and not in a dramatic romeo and juliet way, or an anti-commitment way—in the way that this isn’t your home. and venti would never deprive you of the chance to see your own peers and family.
ʚ what’s a little distance to a god who’s already been alone for most his life anyway?
ZHONGLI — 钟离
ʚ “i know.” were the only words that left his lips as soon as you reveal your identity. he never delves deeper into how he knew; or perhaps he didn’t and is just lying to save face…either way, he remains silent with a complaisant smile as he once again picks up his teacup.
ʚ it’s awfully unsettling how this proclamation is met with such nonchalance, but to be fair, he’s a god, and a dragon at that—he’s seen and been the fault of countless of empires falling and rising, including the one you’re standing in today with qingxin’s in your hair, he’s not fazed, but he is certainly intrigued.
ʚ won’t hesitate to bombard you with questions, slowly of course, he doesn’t wish to overwhelm you.
ʚ it’s not every day he gets to speak with someone who’s from a world completely unlike his own who’s actually willing to share their tales and past. of course the traveler was there to chat about their own experiences, but it always felt like they were leaving portions of their story covered.
ʚ it’s not every day he gets to speak with someone who’s from a world completely unlike his own who’s actually willing to share their tales and past. of course, the traveler was there to chat about their own experiences, but it always felt like they were leaving portions of their story covered.
ʚ he’s suddenly a lot more in tune with your habits and quirks, he enjoys the whole process of guessing what things you’ve adapted to and learn from teyvat and the things you’ve clearly been conditioned into by your past.
ʚ silly things like calling accidentally calling the archons “herrscher”, face suddenly going limp with sorrow at the mention of murata, he also does think it’s a little funny you mimic his osmanthus wine line with one of your own…something to do with life being ephemeral and being filled with worldly strife.
ʚ aside from your unique quirks, another obvious thing that caught his eye was your power. he’s seen many a mortal in his life—some of which had left puffed scarring in his psyche from their sheer strength and will.
ʚ but you? you were something else. he couldn’t even tell if it was just because he loved you so much that anything you did amazed him, or because it was simply endearing to see his partner so nonchalantly powerful.
ʚ he may or may not pull the grandpa card occasionally to watch you in action. Can he technically match you in power? possibly. but you should forgive the old dragon, he merely enjoys watching you get sweaty as he sips tea, is that so wrong?
GANYU — 甘雨
ʚ ganyu is barely awake when she comes home to you, so when you suddenly revealed such news, it abruptly awoke her. yes, she nearly lost a horn in the process—please don’t mention the bump on her forehead.
ʚ despite ganyu being extremely intelligent and quietly observant like an white barn owl with hooded eyes, this was the last thing she expected: was teyvat some sort of resort for outlanders strewn off their course? or did the gods specifically send you down here so you can play with her heart?
ʚ the revelation doesn’t change much apart from your late night pillow talks. suddenly, even the sleepy goat preferred counting the moles and freckles on your skin than imaginary sheep. please do enlighten her about your world!! she will soak up any information and perhaps help you relive some memories with some diy—she’s sure she can remake the food from the xianzhou luofu with some mismatched ingredients!
ʚ one thing that intrigued her immediately about your travels was the place called penacony; you seriously visited a world where dreams were a reality? where you can simply let go of the troubles of life and engage in mindless fun? that was far too out of her realm of imagination, but she was certainly replaying the image you placed in her mind during her late hours at work.
ʚ however…the rest of the story about the dreamy land solidified in her mind that maybe those few hours with ink are worth more than indulging in delusions…
ʚ your martial art skills and general technique with your desired weapon had also piqued her interest, but she had never really put too much emphasis on it or thought to express her curiosity. after all, it’s not like she gets out of liyue much—perhaps this was merely a style from one of the other nations?
ʚ of course, with the present context, she was now even more intrigued! you have to teach her some of those cool choreography moves! you practically use the entire battlefield like a dance floor, sliding around to avoid enemy attacks with such poise and grace you’d think you were merely doing ballet. she’s never been so motivated for something so seemingly trivial to you.
ʚ there’s certainly a hint of worry with your whereabouts. after all, doesn’t this mean you’ll eventually have to make it back home? if so, would you be potentially willing to return to her if your heartbeats ever sync again?
XIAO — 魈
ʚ that explains a lot of the mumbles you told him not to worry about where in which you compared him to people he’s never heard of in teyvat - i mean he barely remembers the blurry faces of people he’s encountered but even so.
ʚ i mean who in the world was blade?? like the weapon? if so, that’s a rather cruel comparison for a man used as a killing slave for most his life.
ʚ he did think it was weird that despite your long stay in teyvat, you hadn’t managed to properly integrate yourself into their cultures - though he wasn’t really one to judge you for that, he was born to protect liyue and he still hasn’t got a clue how to socialise, so really? he understood you all too well.
ʚ soon as you admitted to him your story, it’s like all the lanterns in his head suddenly flutter with light. ah, so you’re not just an outcast weirdo—you’re quite literally from a different planet.
ʚ xiao isn’t one to be super intrigued about other people, his life and duty is specifically intended for the protection of liyue and its people. he has no time to wonder about what’s beyond that.
ʚ but…since it’s you, he’ll try. during those alone nights at the inn, him wrapped up in your arms like an injured kitten as you brush away the dark streaks of hair clinging to his bloodied forehead—he’ll ask.
ʚ did you have any friends? any family? did they love you? what sort of things did you experience? …do you miss them?
ʚ he rarely wants the answer to the last one, he shuts it out almost entirely. he can’t bear the thought of you potentially yearning for somewhere, or even someone, that wasn’t him. it was petty and selfish—but for the first time in his sacrificial life, he allowed it.
ʚ as for your power…he’s not one to be impressed by something he was literally designed for, but it was another thing to watch you work so diligently. it was…admirable.
ʚ there’s been times where you’ve surprised him, and unintentionally hurt his ego. he’s supposed to be YOUR protector, he wants to be. because if he isn’t, what else can he be? you can’t just swoop in and snatch him by the waist while he’s in the middle of training because you think he’s in trouble!
RAIDEN EI — 影
ʚ she truly believes she misheard you at first.
ʚ you’re from where? huh? speak up, please before the stoic shogun breaks down.
ʚ you can’t be from somewhere unreachable…you were hers. and now you’re telling her you belong to a whole other world?
ʚ it’s a poignant moment. on one hand, she’s deeply honoured that you trusted her to admit something so important to you, but truly…the idea you were just barely hers made her irrationally upset.
ʚ once she gets over the sulking, ei finds a little peace with you as you retell some stories of your own life. it’s a little healing almost, knowing you handled yourself so fiercely without her need of protection.
ʚ another raiden shogun? well you better pray you hadn’t dated because otherwise…she’s not sure she can keep that purple electricity of hers in check enough to not leave a branch-like streak across your face (she wouldn’t dare no matter how tempting the idea of branding you as hers the thought may be).
ʚ yae sakura and miko though? now that was certainly interesting. at least she finally had a conversation starter with the kitsune that strayed from the typical teasing.
ʚ you must know that she will absolutely be using this information against you, in the most lighthearted manner of course.
ʚ no it’s actually very normal in the inazuman custom for a shogun to eat a handful of sweets before dinner, you simply haven’t heard of it! yup she also must be the little spoon at night no matter how much smaller or bigger you are from her—it’s a status thing, so come on, get to it.
A. ITTO — 荒泷一斗
ʚ OH SHIT??
ʚ unexpected, bewildered and absolutely enamoured.
ʚ not only did he manage to bag an absolute gorgeous partner, one that could kick ass like it was second nature, but also one that was from some super cool other world?! oh babe you shouldn’t have said anything, he will absolutely chew your ear off with this.
ʚ nonstop talking and questioning— did you have things like this in your world?? when reference to the most common items. dig you also have rain? did you wake up before dawn or was it always night in your realm? do you have family? what were they like? friends? gasp LOVERS?
ʚ ooh he suddenly couldn’t take it. he knows you’re the most beautiful, handsomest, prettiest person alive—but just the thought of someone else—someone who he couldn’t fight!!—thinking the same thing before he ever did made his stomach feel all funny.
ʚ were there monsters and freaks in your world too? and did you love them as much as you hopefully loved him?
ʚ he knows it’s a little unfair to expect you to only have had eyes for him, but for the sake of his ego…it’s much better to keep past romantic endeavours to yourself. he’s currently more than content that the great arataki itto is your first TEYVAT! boyfriend. no other dude from some shammy planet could change that significant status.

You want a request? Sure, here ya go! 😀
Back when Genshin Impact first came out, a lot of folks compared it to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. (Some even thought Hoyoverse was directly copying Nintendo, if you can believe it) This little nugget of info was stored away in my head for some time, and now it's finally borne fruit!
SAGAU universe, bc ofc it is, where Creator!Reader would turn off the Genshin music and instead listen to Zelda tunes as they play! Nobody in Teyvat knows where these songs come from, but the Vision Holders who have heard them believe these melodies to be of holy origin. Something that connects them to their Creator, and is either shared to the masses or kept amongst themselves...a secret that only those blessed to be the Makers Vessels are to know.
If we're going the Imposter SAGAU route, it could be that our poor Creator is awaiting to be executed by the Genshin Cast. In an attempt to comfort themselves, they hum one of the songs that they love from the Zelda games (Zeldas Lullaby is always a favorite of mine personally) and the Acolytes overhear them. Whether this leads to more harm or to the Reader getting help, I'll leave that up to you.
Divine Melody
(Synopsis): After being transported to one of your favorite game you’re a accused of being an imposter but a melody changes the minds of Teyvat
(Tags/Warnings): Reader is treated as an imposter, reader almost dies, (if I missed anything lmk)
(Word Count): 770
(A/n): I remember that era, it was a ridiculous accusation to throw, and I hope this fulfills your expectations
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A bright light shines in your face causing you to open your eyes
You find yourself in a grassy field and laying in the shade of a large tree. Odd you don’t remember falling asleep outside, this area looks pretty familiar. After a few seconds of trying to figure out where you are, you looked to see a statue
The statue looked absolutely majestic, walking to the front of it you saw that it was holding a glowing teal orb and the statue is in the likeness of Venti
The realization hit you like a ton of bricks
You’re at Windrise, you’re in Genshin
Excitement fills you and instantly began to run to Mondstadt City
Being transported to your favorite video game is supposed to be an amazing experience. Experience the world first person, interact with the characters, all that good jazz. That’s what you expected when you step foot in the city
Instead of the kind smiles you would normally see from behind your screen you were met with the people whispering amongst themselves whilst looking at you
Odd, you kept walking around the city until a knight came up to you and pointed his sword at you
“Halt, foul imposter!” The knight spat out. “How dare you come here wearing their holy presence.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I just woke up like-” You were cut off by the sword coming closer to your neck
You looked around to see a crowd gathered around waiting for you, the intensity of the situation only grew and so without much hesitation you ran away from the knight and the crowd
You ran until you bumped into a person, looking up you see Kaeya
“Oh thank god! Kaeya please explain to these people that they got it all wrong, I’m not an imposter!” You pleaded
But why did he look at you with such contempt and disgust? Without a word from him he restrained you, his grip ironclad threatening to leave bruises to your arms
“I got them!” Kaeya yelled at the crowd
The mob gathered around you and bound your hands behind your back and the two knights lead you to a jail cell that had long been abandoned
Why were they treating you this way, you’ve done nothing wrong. Hopeless you curled up into ball on the floor and began to cry uncontrollably
You don’t know how long you spent crying when a knight came to get you from your dingy cell. She took you outside and you the moment you were out the sun blinded you. As you were lead through the street the people pelted rotten fruit at you
All that was going through your mind was “why”
Why are they doing all of these awful things to you, the yells of contempt was a stark contrast to the friendly smiles you’re used to seeing
As you got closer you saw the stake that you’re about to be tied to and set alight, the reality hit you and in a desperate attempt to calm your mind you begin to hum a melody that you would listen to while playing the game
You hum loudly to drown out the chants from the crowd. Strangely it comforted you, perhaps in your last moments finding solace in familiarity pushes the situation out of your mind.
You hummed loudly that someone heard you
“Stop! Stop! Stop!” A familiar voice yelled, quieting the crowd
You look up to see it was Venti who was standing before you. He gets down on his knees and looks you in the eyes
“That melody, sing it again.”
You kept humming the tune and the vision holders all had horrified looks on their faces, they all drop to their knees and bowed before you
“Your Grace, please forgive us for our grave mistake.” Jean said
“W-what are you talking about?” You asked confused beyond comprehension
“Your Grace, do you not realize that you are the creator of Teyvat?” Eula said
You ended the story and looked around at the faces of the children gathered around you. A story that is long behind you and now you dictate your time in teaching future generations the lesson
“What was the song you sang, your Grace?” A girl asked
“It was a song that the vessels would hear when I would pilot them, here let me hum it to you.” You began to hum the melody and as the song progressed you saw the children slowly get lulled to sleep. Finishing your tune you stood up from you chair and whispered “Goodnight, my sweet children.”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mika, your part-time high school helper, scuttled between tables with three plates of lemon tarts perched precariously along her forearms while the bell above the café door sang its familiar chime. You watched from behind the counter, suppressing a grin behind your coffee-stained apron as she negotiated the crushed floor with all the finesse of a tightrope walker. Over the past two weeks, your once quiet café has changed into something alive, bursting now with the clash of silverware and the hiss of the espresso machine, as well as the warm hum of conversation hanging in the air even after closing time.
Mika had been a godsend. Quiet but sharp-eyed, she'd taken to the rhythm of service like she'd been born for it. Just this morning, she'd caught a customer's spilled latte mid-air without breaking stride.
"Table six needs their check," she murmured as she glided past you, now reaching for the dessert menus. "And the gentleman by the window asked if we could refill the lavender cold brew."
"You'll say yes to him, but only because he said something nice about Lena's macarons," I said as I jotted it down. "And by the way, slip him one of the test batches of her passion fruit ganache-discreetly."
Mika's lips quirked. "Bribery as a business strategy. Noted."
You looked at her smugly and giggled before signalling her to return to her work.
The kitchen doors groaned open and a billow of steam clouded with vanilla came pouring out as Lena carried her tray of perfect éclairs. Hands that moved like a composer-especially every motion being precise, and every garnish placed in intentional elegance-were the magic of this girl, former pâtissier to Le Ciel Blanc. The first time she brought to you a fraisier cake, more perfect than a photoshopped one, you almost kissed her.
"Taste," she demanded again, thrusting a spoonful of silky chocolate toward your face. "The new single-origin blend. Is the acidity too forward?"
You let the ganache melt on your tongue, thinking. "It's bright, but the hazelnut praline balances it. Joon's going to go crazy over this."
And that word summoned Joon to burst through the kitchen doors, his chef's jacket bathed with what seemed to be raspberry coulis. "We need to talk about the sourdough schedule," he announced, waving a clipboard. "The starter's doubling faster since I moved it near the oven. If we adjust proofing times-"
You raised a hand. "Breathe, firecracker."
Joon had reconstructed your entire kitchen within forty-eight hours of being hired. Freshly graduated from culinary school, he had enough raw talent without much common sense. When you had asked him why he chose your café over the Michelin-starred establishments that fought over him, he just grinned and said, "Because you talked to your sourdough starter like it was your emotional support animal. I knew this was where all the real magic happened."
Now, with the three of them settling into their roles, you finally had time to breathe.
Which meant that now you could bring your attention back to that door.
-
Mika hummed as she mopped the café now quiet without the last customer present. The sound blended well with the jazz record you'd left spinning on the old turntable.
"Are you sure you wouldn't want me to help close up?" she quipped, hanging up her apron with military precision.
You shook your head. "Go study for your chem test. And take these." You shoved a box of leftover madeleines into her backpack.
Mika simply rolled her eyes. "You're worse than my abuela. See you tomorrow, boss."
At that moment she slammed the door behind her, and the air in the café shifted—like the space between heartbeats. You turned slowly.
There, nestled between flour sacks where it had no right to be, was the door.
Ordinary in every way except how it wasn't. The wood grain shimmered if you stared too long, and sometimes—when the café was empty and the moon was high—you swore you heard singing from the other side.
You exhaled, rolling up your sleeves.
Okay. It is time for another experiment.
--
Experiment #1: The Witness Test
Mrs. Khatri, your regular patron most patient, was sipping her masala chai with polite curiosity while pretending you are reorganizing the storage shelves. You had been brewing tea, talking about her granddaughter's ballet recital, and keeping an eye on the door for two hours.
"Are you expecting any delivery?" she asked as you turned to the door for the seventeenth time.
You nearly spilled a jar of cinnamon. "Just... waiting on a specialty tea order."
The door looks like it doesn't want to open; it didn't want to have a single crease somewhere in it.
The moment Mrs. Khatri cleared out with her parting "The cardamom was perfect today, dear," did the brass knob warm up under your fingertips as a sleeping creature that stirs under the absence of its owner.
So. No witnesses. Copy that.
Experiment #7: Teyvat's Objects on Earth
The Mora gleamed innocently on your ledger, its golden surface catching the warm lighting of the café. You learned quickly that not all could survive from the other side and continue living in this world, though.
Mist Flowers disintegrated into puddles of sad water. Valberries wilted overnight. But the Mora—the Mora was different.
The jeweler's loupe did tremble in his hand when you brought it to him: "This shouldn't exist," he'd whispered, turning it around. "This metallurgy is impossible—this purity of gold with this level of detail? And the markings..." His eyes snapped to yours. "Where did you really get this from?"
You'd lied smoothly. "A family heirloom." Wow, you really know how to lie between your teeth, huh?
Still, his offer of $2,300 made your palms sweat.
Note: If Paimon ever finds out I'm sitting on a goldmine, I'm dead.
You were making some notes when the freaking door opened on its own.
Your pen froze mid-word.
Wind rushed in, not that stale city air you knew, but something wild and green, smelling of dandelions and distant thunderstorms. And then Venti tumbled through, catching himself hard against the counter.
He wasn't drunk, which was shocking.
The second was the blood matting his hair, the way his fingers trembled around his lyre like it was the only thing tethering him to this world.
"You," he hissed, teal eyes flashing with something ancient and dangerous. "What game are you playing?"
You raised your hands slowly. "No game. This is just my café."
His gaze darted around-the industrial espresso machine, the chalkboard menu, and the glass case displaying Lena's pastries. His nose wrinkled. "It smells like... burned sugar and regret."
"Caramel and ambition," you corrected, then winced. "And you're bleeding on my mahogany." You nudged the first-aid kit toward him.
"Who sent you?" Venti didn't move.
"No one." You kept your voice steady. "That door sometimes connects to other worlds. You're the second to come through."
"Second?" His grip on the lyre tightened.
"The Traveler and Paimon."
Something in his posture eased-just a fraction. "Hah. Should've known those two would find the universe's backdoor."
-
The antiseptic stung your own hands as you dabbed at his temple. Venti flinched but didn't pull away, his breath warm against your wrist.
"Stormterror?" you guessed.
His laugh was brittle. "Among other things." A pause. "You know much for a... what are you, exactly?"
"Café owner." You pressed the bandage gently. "Part-time interdimensional tour guide."
Venti snorted, then winced. You slid a mug of cocoa toward him-no alcohol this time. He sniffed it like a suspicious cat before taking a cautious sip. His eyebrows shot up. "Oh. That's... not terrible."
"It grows on you," you said. "Like moss."
"Or a fungal infection," he shot back, but the edge in his voice had dulled.
Outside, rain tapped against the windows like impatient fingers. Venti's hands strayed to his lyre, plucking a melody that made your chest ache-something older than nations, older than gods.
You pretended not to notice when his playing faltered.
By the third cocoa refill, Venti had migrated from "hostile intruder" to "annoying housecat," draped across your best booth with his boots on the upholstery.
"Sooo," he drawled, spinning his empty mug. "This 'café' of yours. You just... feed interdimensional travelers?"
"Mostly locals," you said, scrubbing an already-clean counter. "You're a special case."
"Aw, I'm touched!" He grinned, but his eyes stayed wary. "And what do you get out of it?"
You shrugged. "Good company."
Venti's smile faltered. For a heartbeat, he looked lost-then he strummed a chord sharp enough to make your glassware vibrate. "Liar."
You froze.
"Everyone wants something," he murmured, "the Traveler wants to find their sibling." He looked at the archons through narrowed eyes. "Whatever gods seek." His eyes pinned you. "What do you seek?"
The truth clawed at your throat - I just didn't want to be alone - but you swallowed it down. "A five-star Yelp review?"
Venti blinked. Then he laughed, genuine this time, the sound bright as sunlight through stained glass. "Fair enough. Though, what is a Yelp review?"
Soon enough he left.
You looked at the door blankly and took out a ledger.
-
"I'll put that on his tab." You scoffed. The first mug of cocoa you slid to him was just a welcome gift and free, not including his constant refilling.
Three days later, you nearly dropped the tray of éclairs when walking into the pre-dawn quiet café to find Nahida perched on a barstool and swinging her legs.
"Oh!" She brightened, hopping down. "You're the door's keeper!"
You choked on air. "How-"
"The door told me," she said now, as if there were nothing extraordinary about it. At your shocked silence, she tilted her head, "Not in words, of course. More like... a feeling." Her tiny hands cupped the Cecilia flower Venti had left behind, its petals glowing faintly under her touch. "This remembers you."
"Remembers?" you echoed weakly.
Nahida hummed, those eyes of hers far too knowing for someone who looked like a child. "Memories stick to objects, places, even people." She leaned forward, whisper-soft. "Some of yours smell like us."
Your blood turned to ice.
But Nahida just smiled, sliding off the stool. "Don't worry. I'm just not going to pry." She pressed a crisp recipe card into your hands, Moon Pie, the words flowing with calligraphy. "For when you're ready."
Then she was gone, the door clicking behind her.
The Cecilia pulsed once, twice,
and burst into full bloom.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry bout the constant "-" throughout the story. Was kinda having a hard time transitioning but like yes. We ignore that hahahhaha....

˚₊‧꒰ა Silly Things That They Do ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ Genshin Impact
Tumblr media
✧ Silly (and sometimes annoying) things that they do, but it's okay you love them anyway <3
✧ Featuring ✧ Childe, Heizou, Kazuha, Kaeya, Venti, Kaveh, and Itto x GN! Reader (Separate)
✧ Content Warnings ✧ Some swearing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
✧ Childe
"Rise and shine sleepy head!" No further explanations needed.
He'll roll you up in your blankets for no apparent reason and then leave before you can escape the soft prison he put you in.
If you're going to jump on the bed he'll mf snatch the pillow and you fall on the bed itself.
When he's cooking he'll def shape the food into cute shapes.
He'd probably find something you're looking for and say he doesn't know where it is, but a while later will give it to you so you can praise him and give him a kiss.
Comes up from behind you and puts his hands over your eyes saying: "Guess who?"
Tells you to stay out of trouble when he's gone even though anything you do will never amount to the shit he does when he's working.
Tumblr media
✧ Shikanoin Heizou
Kicks your feet under the table like he's a damn child.
Anytime he does something he expects a kiss as a reward.
He could literally open a jar you couldn't open and expect a big kiss and cuddles.
If you ask him to make you coffee he'll definitely make it!
You just won't get it unless you get up yourself because you only asked him to make it not bring it.
But if you ask him next time to bring the coffee he'll bring the whole ass coffee pot bc you didn't ask for it in a cup.
Will blame you for him waking up late on a work day when he's the one staying up late to work on cases.
Gets genuinely offended when you tell him no fried food bc it's not good for him.
He does a ">:(" and gives you one-worded responses for an hour.
He's not mad he's just the biggest tease to exist on Teyvat.
Start getting actually upset and he actually feels so bad and does anything to make it up to you.
Tumblr media
✧ Kaedehara Kazuha
Comes up behind you without making a sound says "Hi." and scares the living daylights out of you.
If you catch him doing smth he'll use such poetic words you can't even understand to get out of the situation.
Starts spitting poetry out of nowhere.
It could be dead silent between the two of you and he gives you a romantic poem.
If he's cooking he will put food you do not like in there but hide it so well it tastes good to you.
While you're eating he'll stare at you like 🙂
Then you realized you fell victim to eating smth like brussel sprouts again.
If you're working he'll deadass show up in your office or smth.
Like how??
No notification from your coworkers and you js look up he's there.
Kazuha 10/10 horror movie killer material, silent footsteps, appears out of nowhere, unsuspecting, and has a sharp weapon
He knows so many cats like wtf
A cat comes up to him he pets it and says "Hi, cat name." AND DOES IT W SO MANY CATS??
Tumblr media
✧ Kaeya
Okay I know I called Heizou the biggest tease but I changed my mind.
If Heizou is the king of teasing Kaeya is the all knowing, all powerful, all mighty god of teasing.
Flirts with you at the most random times.
Could be fighting some monsters he decides its the best time to try a new pick up line.
And it's always the best one's too, but he decides to save the horrendous ones for completely normal times.
He has no life.
With no cavalry to captain he can't be the cavalry captain so with nothing to do most of the time he's glued to your hip.
He'll play with your hair in front of someone no matter how many times you smack his hand away.
Claims he needs some random article of clothing on him fixed just so he can have your attention.
Y'know that thing where you bump your hip on someone to make them trip/fall over?
He does that.
If you stumble he'll act like he did nothing and turn the other way.
If you fall and it's hilarious he'll laugh before helping you up.
But if you fall and hurt yourself he'll actually feel bad and help you up and make sure you're okay. He's at your beck and call for the rest of the day.
He needs attention.
It's like taking care of a big cat.
Tumblr media
✧ Venti
Also does the hip bump thing.
If you go to find him after he does some drinking he could be in the most random ass position ever.
Laying back down legs up against a building.
Passed out on some hay in a crate.
Sleeping under a bench.
You can't even be surprised anymore.
His feet are actually icebergs.
When he takes off them stocking things he puts his feet on you and your body temperature decreases by 20 degrees.
Styles his hair and yours in the most random ways.
If you wear makeup he took it once and ended up looking like a barbie doll got into a street fight and lost.
Sings you songs about the most random shit.
He turned milk and cookies into a song.
Meowing back at cats is normal.
But he barks back at dogs and really puts the enthusiasm in it..
Tumblr media
✧ Kaveh
Plays with his food.
Moves it around on his plate to form shapes before he actually eats it.
Sometimes is drinking while he draws things and was painting once and ended up drinking the paint water on accident.
He spat it out and started rubbing his tongue while you and Al haitham were like 🤨
Thought all he loses are his keys?
Nah everything he's touched has been lost at least once.
He's still looking for some things that vanished into thin air.
He sometimes talks in his sleep.
Mostly about you, cats, dogs, and food.
He's actually so knowledgeable on beauty products??
You could be buying something for skin care and he snatches it and says "No."
"Don't buy this..." and yaps on for a good minute.
Then he'll go and pick up smth else for you and buy it for you and you're js left there shocked.
Tumblr media
✧ Arataki Itto
This man is the epitome of silly.
He also cant whisper for shit.
Do NOT shit talk someone to him all of Inazuma will know within 30 minutes.
He has so many spare combs.
A backup comb for his comb a back-backup comb for the backup comb a back-back-backup comb for the back-backup comb and so on...
Don't give him hot sauce. Just don't.
Do NOT mess up his hair. He'll be ":(" the entire day.
He knows about lots of good food.
Can he cook any of this good food?
Hell no.
If you cook him anything he'll be so happy and eats every last crumb, would probably eat the plate to get all the macromolecules of the food.
(If he even knew what a macromolecule is)
If you make him something it's treasured forever and the only fingerprints on it are yours and his.
Definitely owns a diary somewhere.

We Were Nothing the Wind Couldn't Catch
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Venti x gn!reader
Genre: Fluff, Rivals with repressed feelings
Word count: ~ 1.5k
Warnings: None!
Summary: You are an aspiring bard in Mondstadt, trying to get your morning practice in when your greatest rival and constant thorn in your side, Venti, decides to drop by to listen.
Tumblr media
The humid morning breeze coming in from Mondstadt’s side gate sent the faintest shiver down your spine, carrying with it the cool scent of Cider Lake. Your leg tapped against the cobblestone in rhythm with the soft, albeit uneven notes of your lyre. You were sat on one of the overturned crates, the ones near where Guy and Hertha is usually stationed, brows furrowed in deep concentration and lips mouthing quiet rhymes as your fingers plucked at the instrument’s unruly strings.
A sour note clanged like nails on a chalkboard.
“You’re flat on the third again,” spoke that annoyingly familiar voice from above you, smooth, casual, and infuriatingly amused. Your fingers stilled as your eye twitched.
“It’s as if you wake up every day with the goal of being more annoying than the last,” you muttered, not even bothering to look up at him. You could tell by the tone of his voice exactly what expression he was wearing anyways. You heard him chuckle.
“Not quite every day,” Venti said, pushing off the stone wall and treading down the adjacent stairs with an even, calm gait. “Sometimes I wake up thinking, how are you going to go about brutalizing a G chord before breakfast?”
You fought back the urge to groan. As per usual, no matter where you set up shop to practice in the morning, the famous bard would find you and would make you want to invent a new insult just for him. “I don’t recall inviting an audience,” you grumbled, voice flat and unreadable.
“Oh, my mistake.” Venti gave a theatrical, over-exaggerated bow, his hand over his heart in a gesture that would have seemed heartfelt if you hadn’t known him as well as you did. “I thought the music was an open invitation, my ears wandered in on their own.”
“Such a shame your ears work so much better than your manners.” You returned your attention to your lyre before he had the chance to retort and further distract you. You let out a short sigh, something almost more akin to growl considering the circumstances, as you began playing again. This time, slower, every last note more crisp and deliberate than earlier. From the corner of your eyes you could see him leaning against the wall next to you, eyeing your hands as you played, gaze occasionally drifting up to your focused expression. His lips parted as he was about to say something, but you cut him off before he had the chance.
“I don’t need your critique.” He laughed a bit in response.
“You do need it,” Venti replied. “You just don’t want it from me.
You arched an eyebrow as you glanced at him from the corner of your eye. “Why are you even here then?”
Venti shrugged, a casual motion to most, but you had started to get the feeling he cared more than he let on. Call it… intuition. “Can’t a fellow bard take an early morning stroll and be tragically assaulted by a poor performace?”
“You followed me.”
“Perhaps I did. Maybe I like the way you play when you think no one’s listening.”
You’re not sure why that startled you. Did he mean for that to come out the way it did…? For the first time since these encounters began, he looked almost serious. But the moment passed like a fleeting breeze. “I mean, there’s a lot of wincing, but it’s very... earnest.”
You stood abruptly, lyre in hand, an uncomfortable red blooming on your cheeks. Definitely from frustration, nothing else. You turned sharply to face him, eyes narrowing as you took in his smug expression. “If you’re going to insult me, at least do it normally and stop dragging it out.”
Venti cocked his head to the side, his eyes softening just a little bit. “I wasn’t insulting you,” he defended, taking a tentative step closer. “You’re close. You’re just… not hearing the shape of the chord.”
You frowned. “The shape? What are you on about?”
Venti moved deliberately, offering you a hand. “May I?”
You hesitated, eyeing the bard warily… but you didn’t move away. And he took it as permission. Slowly, Venti stepped behind you, and you swore you caught the scent of cecilias clinging to his clothes. His hands reached around, delicate fingers faintly brushing yours as he gently repositioned them on the strings of your lyre.
“Your middle finger’s stiff. Relax it,” Venti murmured, his voice much quieter now with how close he was… and how focused he sounded as he calmly guided you. “Press here, and soften the ring finger.”
You didn’t say a word, barely drawing breath as you focused entirely on the gentle pressure of Venti’s hand adjusting yours, the soft warmth of his fingers, and the steadiness of his voice. His thumb ghosted across your wrist as he shifted your position. “Now, play.”
You almost flinched as you were brought back to the moment, your mind forcing itself to ignore the subtle warmth of his chest nearly pressed against your back or the sound of his voice just inches from your ear. You focus up, plucking the strings with surprising clarity. The chord rang out true, clean, bright, and resonant.
“…There,” Venti said softly. “That’s the one.” But he didn’t move away just yet.
Your hands were now frozen, fingers hovering over the strings, trying to commit to memory what he had just taught you. “You’ve never… helped me before.”
“With the way you usually scowl at me? That’s an act of self-preservation.” Venti said, voice low, almost humorous. But not mocking as usual.
You turned your head slightly, meeting Venti’s gaze over your shoulder. There was something unreadable in his expression, something neither of you were completely ready to draw attention to yet.
“I’m not used to you being… sincere.” You admitted, unsure why exactly you were speaking so earnestly to your long-time rival.
The bard let out a sigh, feigning offense. “You wound me. I’m always sincere, you know?”
“...No you’re not.”
“...Alright, perhaps not always.”
You sat there in the tense silence for a moment too many, unable to concentrate on anything but the feel of his gaze on you, not your instrument.
Finally, you very suddenly pulled your hands back out of his loose grip, taking a step forward to put a little distance between you. You ignore the shiver running down your spine.
“I still don’t like you.”
“You don’t have to like me,” Venti said, watching you as he crossed his arms over his chest. “You just have to play that chord right again. And perhaps admit I was right, if the mood strikes.”
You didn’t respond immediately, just eyed your lyre for a second. Your gaze unwillingly drifted back to him, and he was staring right back at you, his eyes softer than usual as he gave you an encouraging nod. You quickly looked back down at your lyre before the warmth rising to your cheeks could take over, positioning your hands just like he instructed earlier. This time, the chord was perfect.
Venti smiled. Not smug, not teasing. Just quiet satisfaction.
“See? You can learn.”
You didn’t look up as you retorted. “I liked you better when you were insulting me.”
“No you didn’t.”
Another chord. Resonant and clear, carried along the breeze. The sound echoed off the stone brick walls, soft yet powerful. Neither of you moved an inch. Venti still stood behind you, gaze intense enough that you could feel it even without looking to check.
“You’re staring,” You accused plainly, but not quite managing to sound as annoyed as you intended. Venti blinked slowly, the usual smirk replaced with something quieter, more subtle. “I’m listening.”
“To what?”
“You,” He said.
That did it. You looked away, jaw clenching. “You don’t get to look at me like that after spending three weeks calling my arpeggios ‘limp.’”
You weren’t quite irritated, even. Not the way you usually are after spending any amount of time around him. You couldn’t quite name this frustrating feeling, or why it made you want to grit your teeth and throw an insult his way. Venti chuckled under his breath. “That was a compliment, in context.”
You turned to look at him, sharp eyes narrowing. “You always do this..! Mock, hover, push just far enough to make me question if I actually hate you or-”
The words caught in your throat. The air changed.
Venti didn’t step forward, but… he didn’t step back either. “Or?” He asked, voice low.
You didn’t answer. Didn’t have to. Not with the suffocating silence stretching between you, taut and buzzing like a plucked string. You had clearly slipped, said just a few words more than you intended. More than you expected.
Then, with a quiet groan and a huff, you turned on your heel away from him. “I have to get to the square,” you excused, tightening your grip on the lyre, the sturdy wood of the instrument the only thing grounding you at the moment.
Venti nodded slowly. “Of course. Wouldn’t want to distract you from your work.”
You shot him an incredulous look. As if he hadn’t been doing that all morning… Then, you turned and walked off, back straight, pace brisk as the fall of your steps echoed on the cobblestone paths.
Venti waited until you were gone, then exhaled a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding in. Fingers twitched at his side, like he was still playing an unfinished melody.
“...You play like you mean it. Pity you never speak the same way.”

Venti’s Dilemma
⟡ Contains: Venti x Gn!Reader, Sfw, Fluff, Reader is critical of themselves
Tumblr media
Something about you had always stuck out to Venti, and he didn’t quite know what. Perhaps it was how the wind blew in your hair? Or was it how you laughed at all of his jokes? Maybe it was how you’d always bring him back to your place after he got too drunk, insisting that you’d take the couch so he could have a good night’s sleep.
Whatever it was, Venti knew one thing for sure: He was hopelessly in love with you. But what kind of archon falls in love with a mortal? Venti had read his fair share of legends, and he knew that it would only end in heartbreak. That’s how it always was. But no matter how many times he told himself that he could never love you, he just couldn’t bear to distance himself from you.
Venti cursed himself for his abysmal self-control, but the fact of the matter was, he couldn’t keep his eyes off of you. Your hair, your eyes, your smile—it all made him weak in the knees. He tried everything to vent his emotions, hoping they would disappear. He wrote his thoughts down, sang songs about how he felt, went to the library and checked out every book on romantic advice, and even went to talk to Zhongli about it. Nothing. None of it worked.
The way you sweetly called his name was enough to make him scrap all of his research. Which was a shame, since do you know how awkward it is to ask Zhongli for advice on romance!? And the looks Venti got from Lisa after checking those books out were enough to keep him out of the library for at least a month. Alas, his feelings couldn't be ignored.
Venti knew that he had to tell you about how he felt at some point, and he assured himself that you would definitely reject him and that he would have his peace of mind in the end. However, deep down, he actually wished for your affection.
One night, he decided to invite you out for a drink. You accepted happily, glad to spend more time with him. It was always nice to listen to him talk as he got progressively more drunk; it was quite endearing in an odd sort of way. This time, though, Venti barely touched his drink. That was a first. You started to wonder if something was wrong before he asked you to accompany him outside.
You agreed, but you were concerned and curious about what he needed to talk to you about. Venti took your hand in his, leading you to a very lovely bench in Whispering Woods. It was a nice bench; however, it was clear that Venti didn’t want to take you there just for small talk. You turned to look at him, waiting for him to speak. Despite reading all of those books on romance, Venti still had no idea how to begin to tell you about his feelings, and he was getting quite a bit nervous.
"I—uh.. I brought you here because.. uhm.. I wanted to talk to you about—" He paused and then changed the subject, saying, "Erm, the moon is nice, isn’t it?"
You kept looking at him, your interest piqued. What did he have to tell you that was so important? It was not unusual for Venti to stumble over his words, but never like this.
"Yes, the moon is quite nice tonight. Though, Venti, you didn’t just bring me out here to see it, did you? Is there something on your mind? You can talk to me, you know." You said this, reaching out your hand to feel Venti’s forehead for a fever. While this was an odd thing to do, it was second nature to you as an adventurer whenever someone was acting off and looked a little flushed.
Venti’s face only got redder, and he breathed a silent sigh of relief when you took your hand away. How could he ever get through this conversation when his heart was beating so fast?
"Hm, not a fever, then? Just nerves?" You said. This was half a question and half an observation.
"Mhm.. please [Name], don’t worry yourself. I’m not sick." Venti looked down at the ground. He knew that if he gazed into your eyes, he would never get this conversation over with. "I just need to tell you something important. Really important."
You were getting more curious by the minute; what could Venti possibly have to say to you? You were being more than a little dense, taking things at face value rather than looking deeper into what they could mean. "Alright, what is it?"
Venti looked up from the ground, and he accidentally made direct eye contact with you. "I—uh.. well," Venti continued to stutter, quickly looking away again. Then he took a deep breath and said it. "I like you, [Name]."
Your eyes widened a little. What? The man before you had his face in his hands now, absolutely mortified. "Wait.. Venti? Do you mean that you—"
"Yes, [Name]. I really like you. And please don’t say anything. Don’t tell me how you don’t feel the same; I already know you don’t. I just wanted to get it off my chest." Venti said it very quickly, sounding a little panicked.
You sat there in shock and replied, "Venti, you’re an archon, and I’m a mortal; you—"
Venti cut you off again. "I know; I know it won’t work out. You don’t need to remind me. A god and a mortal? That’s crazy, right?" Venti’s voice shook a little, and tears came to his eyes.
Seeing him on the verge of tears broke your heart. You quickly embraced him, wrapping your arms around his body. "No, Venti. That’s not it."
Venti looked at you, surprised. "What..?"
"I like you too, Venti. I really do. I wasn’t trying to tell you that a relationship between us wouldn’t work out; I was just wondering why you would pick me." You stroked Venti’s hair gently, trying to soothe him.
"Wha—you like me? Really..? What do you mean you don’t know why I’d pick you?" Venti looked at you with moonlight reflected in his eyes.
"I mean, look at you; you’re the Anemo Archon; all the people in Mondstadt admire you. You have festivals, traditions, songs, and so much more. Why would someone as important as you ever like me?"
Venti was a little shocked at your response, "[Name], I’m really not as important as you say I am; the people just—"
You cut him off. "You’re that important to me."
Venti blushed a little more; your comments were like kindling for the flame inside of him. "My point still stands. There’s no reason why I wouldn’t like you, [Name]. My fancy title doesn’t make a difference to how I feel."
You stopped hugging him, staring at your feet. "Well, it should."
Venti couldn’t take it when you said stuff like that. You were always so critical of yourself, and he never knew why. He always thought you were amazing just the way you were.
"Look at me, [Name]." His voice was serious but had a comforting tone at the same time.
You looked up into those green eyes of his; the full moon was reflected in them. Quickly, Venti took your face in his hands and pressed his lips against yours. You were a little surprised at first, but quickly leaned into the kiss and wrapped your arms around Venti again.
"I’m never going to let anyone speak to you like that again, not even yourself." Venti said, catching his breath.
"Good luck with that." You smiled before going back in for another kiss.
You and Venti stayed like that for a while, embracing each other under the moonlight.

Countless of people bustled and gathered at the nation of eternity; Inazuma by a letter delivered to them personally. Who had formed this festival you may ask? Why it isn't no other than their 'grace' themselves! Rooted from their tender heart, their 'grace' had devise one of the most largest festivals ever recorded in the history of Teyvat.
A bard who sang songs to a small audience, that small bunch turned into a group, and a group switched to a crowd as they were all allured by its melody and how graceful the youthful looking man's fingertips strummed his lyre.
Yet the bard had his attention elsewhere, he had purposely gathered this much attention to try and lure in his beloved target. One will say that this man's slyness is like a strong gust of wind passing by you, you'll see him one second and he'll dissapere the next.
"I wonder where you're now my grace? Don't you worry though. The wind will tell me everything... So don't try and escape me again."
Yet elsewhere, a mature looking man had drawn many bystander's attention on his various dialouge's and stories connecting to the past. The man's intellect about various subjects putting numerous academic experts to shame.
His silky smooth hazel hair flowed as a small breeze passed by him, with a short hum he placed down the jade tea cup on the umber wooden table after narrating a story about some magnificent individual who he still greatly admired till this day.
The crowd surrounding him praised and clapped on his knowledge about such distinct topics that not one single person had ever heard of yet, it was as if he was there to witness it all happen closely.
Eventually a random passerby had become curious enough to ask the intellectual man a question that had been lingering in their mind's for a while.
"Sir, may I ask, but who is this person you highly speak of in your stories?"
"Who they are? Well, they are an old companion of mine that I cherish deeply."
The man chuckled as the memories flooded through his mind, every breath and second he had spent with them was deeply engraved into his mind and stored for centuries. Even now after countless years, he could still vividly remember his first encounter with them.
"Who knows, maybe I'll come across them today."
No... Not maybe, the man was confident they will cross paths today, he will do whatever it takes to be in their presence once more and be able to touch their soft and delicate skin.
He will do anything, to make that happen.
...
'Woah, I never knew Zhongli was this obsessed with someone' You looked at the man dumbfounded by what you had heard.
You previously just got teleported into Inazuma and had to experience the 10 stages of adhd since numerous guards began hunting you down for NO reason at all.
To your luck you managed to slip into a thick crowd concealing your presence and being able to wander around the lively and bustling streets for a little bit.
From what you had gathered by the citizens gossiping, this is a festival hosted by someone named 'their grace', literally nothing else but 'their grace'.
'Poor unfortunate soul... Your parents must've been drunk when they named you such a strange name.' You shaked your head feeling a large amount of pity towards the person you haven't even met yet, that is aside from the numerous tales passed around about this grace person being a kind and pure soul.
You sure wana meet them! Maybe they could help you a bit in your situation with the guards.
While you were busy with your thoughts, you suddenly noticed the crowd began moving forward. Turning your head you could see a vague small silhouette of a person standing on top of a statue.
'Isn't that highly dangerous? What if you slip and fall?'
During your criticization for the lack of safety the person was doing, the crowd abruptly began going wild with people shoving others aside to get a better view whilst doing other drastic measures just to even get a sight of the person bestowed upon them.
Confusion striked you like a truck on full speed, you began avoiding the mob of people the best you can as they started getting physical with others, yet you still couldn't even put your finger on who that person on the statue was and how important they are to the people.
Was it a character you haven't met yet in genshin? Or possibly a secret character? You didn't have a clue.
But that's when it hit you.
That must be the grace everyone was talking about! Goddammit why wasn't your brain working earlier.
"Gotta ask them to have their guards stop following me.."
...
'That's right, continue to scream my name, for I alone am the one who transcends above you all.'
Their grace's mask was consisted of an image where they are portrayed as a pure hearted, selfless and kind to the other people... Or what the people of Inazuma had made.
People had already lost their minds after the dissaperance of their god.. Their creator. So when a so called 'creator' stepped forward suddenly all the people in inazuma has had their brains wiped off clean.
Their 'grace' had always thought of themselves worthy of this position.
And it wasn't just because they felt like it. When they had died from an accident, they were then reincarnated as a noble in Inazuma. But they all knew too well that this wasn't the case, they were the chosen ones, they were the right fit for this 'creator' or whatever.
There were some times where people who had worked for their grace experienced several abuse from them, but that must not be the case right? They must've been on the edge or had a bad day, It was their fault for trying to intervene and making their Graces condition worse.
But the people still choose to turn a blind eye on it, they're not stupid of course since before; the very moment the Imposter arrived their suspicions grew larger and larger each passing day.
All of that just to disperse once people began to find out something that is special from the Imposter and not like the rest; how they bring peace through the citizens minds just by being around their presence.
Though, none of them are aware that this was just an old trick by using drugs that originated from the Imposters home land and wasn't widely known yet throughout Teyvat. The very same drug that people had thought was a 'Divine Blessing'
Thankfully, not all were deceived by this petty trick from the Imposter. Only non-human races like gorou, kirara, yae miko and Arataki Itto could immediately tell it wasn't any blessing. The ones aware desperately tried to convince the people it wasn't any blessing and that they should avoid the Imposter, but they were quickly shut down.
Gorou was forced to be silenced as his own men didn't believe any word he spoke, kirara and yae mikos voice wasn't heard by anyone. Itto had gotten arrested by the Tenryou Commission when he spoke about it to Ayato and Kuki Shinobu, claiming he was too stupid as well as he was being a traitor to their grace.
The Imposter had made a perfect drug and made it their natural scent, the drug paid off since many people who used to be depressed had turned more joyful... Or should I say high.
'Majority follows' . If a small bunch turned into a group and grew more and more, people would choose to go with the flow and begin to worship the Imposter just cause it's the one with the more people.
It was only natural that the Imposter would immediately become one of the most worshipped person in less than 10 days, even the puppet Raiden Shogun chosen not to obliterate them immediately with her polearm.
But alas, a mind could be darkened when given too much.
Greed will overtake your mind and soul and corrupt your well-being, The Imposter wanted more and more. Because this was the life that they deserve after living in complete poverty back in their home land.
Everything was going as planned
...
Except one. A person who looked like any other civilian among the sea of crowds stared at the Imposter with curious and worried eyes.
And the Imposter stared back at them as well.
For a moment it seemed like their worlds came to a stop, the crowds cheering and roaring all began to go silent in their ear's.
The other who stared in pure innocent eyes, being the complete opposite of the Imposter. How could such person have a comfortable presence? The crowd must've thought the loving and warm feeling came from the Imposter, but the source of it all was just right beside you.
Pure and caring eyes that looked over at every fiber and piece of your body with such gentleness, if someone went to hell but saw those eyes, those damn eyes. They would brag about seeing heaven before them in real life.
Anyone could fall for them in a moment, but not the Imposter. Not them, they felt disgusted as the person stared at them with those putrid eyes, they hated the nauseating feeling in their stomach the more they stared at them.
But it's okay. Since every necessary situation is planned before hand, if this person was going to become a thorn, best to cut it clean off the stem right?
【Warning!! Your fate is being realized! Number of threats approaching: 4】
死亡
'Your fate is being realized?' you stared at the text typed out by the system plastered on the blue screen making your eyes slightly twitch.
You were just trying to get a closer look at their 'grace's appearance but it felt a bit off, why did they stared at you like you had just done the biggest crime? The uncomfortable vibe was unbearable so you broke eye contact with them to avoid further awkwardness.
'Sheesh, better hope I'm not in their bad side, the guards are already a pain in the ass' You complained inside your head to relieve some weight off your shoulders, it wasn't your goal to get more enemies than you already do... Cough mondstadt...
But back to the message from the system that was still flashing across your face, what confused you to the brim was the sentence 'number of threats approaching': 4
Was it more monsters? Or maybe some people from mondstat already caught up to you...You shivered greatly at the thought of facing the acting grand master again, but also another topic popped up inside your head.
What could diluc be doing?
Before you were teleported, you swore you heard him scream 'Your grace' at you but you brushed it off thinking it was just some kind of weird respect name to make up from the trauma he had kindly given, but now at some coincidence there was a person at a large platform named 'Their grace'.
You thought this was just an ordinary reincarnation.. But its likely it's not anymore.
Getting manhunted for no reason, abnormal cult like mannerisms between the people, the system calling you some sort of 'God' and a completely new character you have never seen before in the main storyline of genshin impact.
As you listed down the numerous unusual casualties that had happened, the corner of your eye grasped something strange—then your eyes widened immediately and grasped the dendro vision dangling on your hip.
It was flickering.
Your vision was flickering, there would be a beautiful viridescent color then it would turn a dull grey.
You didn't have a single idea why this was happening, in the lore of genshin; all visions would turn a Grey hue when it's owner dies, but you were far from being dead. You dont feel anything strange courisng through your body and felt healthier than ever
You took a deep breath, going over to focus your energy into the core of your body to try and summon your personal companion, Taube.
Your eyes expected the same soft and snow white feathers the Dove was covered in like last time, but to your suprise Taube changed.
It's feathers weren't so bright and snow white anymore, but a dark and deep shade of black covered it from head to toe like some sort of virus.
What happened to it? Was it because your vision was flickering and that's why Taube looked so exhausted and famished?
Concern washed over your body along with dread for the poor bird, however just as you tried to puzzle more and more of the clues given to you, a new message appeared from the system.
【Would you like to transport back to Earth? System 444 has sensed great amount's of errors on the story
Yes — No】
Everything felt like it was going too fast.
You stared bewildered by the sudden offer, why now at all times? Isn't this a bit rushed? Was the errors the clues you picked up on?
There was already too much on your plate with the warning of threats, your personal companion dying, and your vision beginning to fade.
Million's of questions flooded your head and your breath began to quicken, your chest heaved up and down greatly as well as deep panting coming out of your mouth. Since when have you felt your clothes grasping your body tightly? Breathing is becoming harder and harder by the second.. Every attempt to calm yourself down failed miserably
Genshin Impact was a game you truly did enjoy, but now you felt nothing but dread over the past few days even up until now. You would always fantasize about meeting all your favorite characters in the story, but having to go through all the pain was something you can't handle.
Your hand trembled with anxiousness with your fingertip drifting on the glowing blue screen barley inches away from pressing it.
But just as you were going to press 'Yes', someone's hand heaved your wrist tightly and hauled you back from the sea of people.
The back of your head hitted on something soft yet also hard.. Like someone's body? With a slight groan you fluttered your eyes back open deciding to gaze up on who dragged you here and interrupted you at the most important things.
【The god of wind is looking at you】
Another message from the system appeared in which it didn't even took you less than a second to realize who's body your head hitted.
Venti looked at the blackened dove resting on your arms then made his way up to your face. He gave you a smile, intending it to be soft and comfortable but only came out as creepy and nerving making you tremble at the God.
"What a lovely dove."
You thought he was talking about your personal companion, but why did it felt like he was talking about you?
Venti never once broke eye contact making the atmosphere more and more unbearable by every passing minute.
You tried to speak but only silence left your mouth for you couldn't think of much to say to the anemo god.
'This is so awkward...'
In your perspective, Venti must have been feeling awkward just like you but the truth is far from that, he instead was still captivated and mesmerized by your appearance. If Venti were to spend the whole day staring he would absolutely do so without a second thought.
But now another text was delivered to you from the system reading; 【The god of Contracts is looking at you】
Okay now that was just too obvious for even yourself. Your (color) eyes scanned the surrounding area till you spotted the brunette man you were looking for.
Zhongli sat at a stone table by himself while he drank his siganture tea on the jade cup. The two of you made eye contact with each other from afar, from a third person's view it was just some normal eye to eye interaction.
However this made your skin crawl by how predatory Zhongli's pupils looked at you only, as if he was about to grab you by the neck in any given moment—Like a dragon circling it's prey by using its gaze and body alone to suck the life out of the poor victim.
And that poor victim just so happened to be you! Seriously when will you break free from all these chaotic situations?
You averted your eyes from him but unconsciously began to fidget with the hem of your sleeves since it was a personal habit of yours to do so whenever you felt an uncomfortable vibe. Your arms then hugged the dove; Taube, closer towards your chest for comfort and a bit of security.
'I wanna leave...'
Venti Pov
'How strange, That pesky lizard really can't keep his eyes off what's mine'
I had been waiting centuries for your return dear grace, but now the wind had finally reunited me with you! yet the geo god dare stand in my way?
A small wind vortex began to emerge out of my palm as the winds began to pick up around us. (Name) slightly tumbled by the sheer power but I acted quickly and catched them tightly by the waist, Yet the feeling of their body around my hand caught me slightly off guard
Have they always been this delicate and soft? Their skin felt so warm around my hand, I've almost forgotten how you felt in my arms dear grace, but not to worry
I won't ever let you go now
Your Pov
'What have I gotten myself into...'
The wind began to pick up for no reason so I slightly tripped on my feet, yet venti catched me so damn fast!?
I'm pretty thankful for the save but... Don't you think you're holding onto me way too tight? The atmosphere wasn't helping at all even though venti and zhongli were a good distance away from each other! Dear God help me!
I'll have to turn to my one and only savior now.
'Psst! System? Help me!' I mentally said to myself hoping to see the familiar glowing sapphire screen appear like usual, but to my suprise it was completely silent! Did that fucker ghost me!?
'Hey! Hey! You there? Please help me out here!' I begged silently praying that my voice could be heard by the system once again, ever since I've met the knights of favonius everything was turning out strange and weird for me
Speaking of knights of favonius, where were they? Surely they could've just gave up on me right
!
Right?...
I failed to notice that zhongli had already appeared infront of Venti with his arms crossed, his expression seemed calm yet the presence and pressure he gave off definitely was the opposite of calm!
The two bickered back and forth with malice but I was busy adjusting my thoughts on what to do now.
Many footsteps reached my ears so I turned to look what the noise was about but immediately regretted it and turned my head back once I saw a familiar blonde woman.
'Jean! What the hell!? How did she get here along with the other knights'
My expression paled up as well as my hand unconsciously going over to my mouth to cover it 'Shit! Shit! Shit!'
Please tell me they hadn't notice me yet! Maybe If I pretend I'm another person.. No you idiot that won't work!
Panic surged through my bones along with millions of thoughts and plans to avoid those people at all costs, currently from a distance the people present were Jean, Amber and Kaeya.
Yet no Diluc in sight though.. I wonder what could've happened to him? You hoped he isn't trying to hunt you down anymore too.
...
The knights of favonius couldn't have possibly.. No I shouldn't think too much on that nor jinx it, they wouldn't go as far as killing their own people right?
I hope he's okay.
Just then the system appeared before me once again, it made me jolt slightly but I composed myself quick enough to read it's information
【The false god is looking at you】
'The false god?' I felt unfamiliar with who that was, could it be furina? But I don't see her anywhere along with the other Fontaine characters.
I turned my head to look behind me and saw only the large and bustling crowd so it was pretty difficult to distinguish who the system was talking about.
Before I knew it I was swooped away by the mob separating me from Venti and Zhongli who hadn't yet noticed since both men were focused on arguing with one another
But that's when my eye caught something, a familiar game mechanic in genshin impact I frequently saw in quests or puzzles; The golden trail
I stared at the twinkling golden path in amazement, it was prettier than I had imagined! I letted Taube go back into my vision so that it could rest for the time being.
My legs hurriedly moved on their own as if a siren had come and sang to serenade the people, yet I was the only one attracted to it. Each step I took, the world around me continues to fall silent with the people fading into nothing but air
One, Two, Three.. Four.
As I took my final step the golden trail also vanished, I raised my head up to stare at the only remaining thing around me, and it was the person I saw on the stage earlier
What was their name again? Oh right. 'Their grace'
I curiously turned my head around the area, however I confirmed that only two of us were left alone. My eyes moved on their own and stared at Their grace's appearance from top to the very bottom.
It was strange how similar yet different we looked from one another, if someone were to look at both of us we would be mistaken as twins.
"Who are you?" Their grace asked me with a calm voice, they had a relaxed pose with both of their hands behind their backs as well as their head slightly tilted to the side
"(Name), you must be that grace person from the stage earlier, right?" I asked them taking a step closer "That's right" Their grace confirmed my question and didn't move away from me, even motioning to come closer to them.
I didn't see anything wrong when their grace motioned me to come closer. Just as I was about to take another step forward, a sudden message from the system stopped me in my tracks
【Would you like to transport back to Earth? System 444 has sensed great amount's of errors on the story
Yes — No】
It was the same message from back then when I was inside the crowd, I was unable to choose since I had gotten distracted by something else. Even so, the answer should be obvious is it not?
Without wasting another second I clicked the 'Yes' option on the screen, the screen very soon collapsed into pieces and dispersed on the ground. Their grace stared at me with curiosity, wondering on why I suddenly halted my movements
"Is something the matter?" Their grace asked me once again, I shook my head silently and waited for something to happen, for example teleporting back to my world.
Minutes passed by as a awkward atmosphere surrounded me and their grace putting me in a uncomfortable position.
It must've been strange to see me randomly stare and click at the air. Their grace on the other hand didn't seem to look bothered at all, infact they just continued to stare at you while you waited to get transferred back to your world like what the system had said.
But that didn't happen
【Would you like to transport back to Earth? System 444 has sensed great amount's of errors on the story
Yes — No】
The message appeared once again which left me confused, I clicked the yes option like last time but it refused to work. I looked back at their grace and saw them smiling at me strangely
"Why don't you try to press no?"
My breath hitched at what they had just blurted out, Could their grace see the system too? Why won't the Yes option work?!
I was so lost in thought that my eye didn't catch Their grace stealthily walking over and pressing the 'No' option on the screen
This one move made me scream and swat their hand away from the system. I blinked in suprise, my jaw dropping a bit since their grace is actually able to see the system
"What— How—"
"Did you really think you could leave so easily?" Their grace's tone shifted drastically, it was no longer warm and calm but cold and stoic towards me. Their tone clearly filled with annoyance, as if they had been keeping it all in them all this time.
I was then again taken back by the sudden hostility, only being able to awkwardly rub my temples "What do you mean?" I said not knowing how to respond to that
Their grace narrowed down their eye's and did a circular motion around me like a animal ready to pounce on its prey without any hesitation.
I swallowed the lump in my throat with my fists balled up tightly "Explain what are you doing." I demanded to them, scowling as their grace finally put a stop on their movements around me.
"Let's have one final chat."
2nd Pov
"That message from the system you received was supposed to work indeed" Their grace started off with a mischievous tone while you only glared from the sideline's
Their grace looked at you smug, deciding to continue on "But in the very last minute, your fate had changed itself. Originally you were destined to teleport back to your home and live a happily ever after, while the characters here continue to suffer from your abandonment." Their grace keen fingertips scraped their own cheek slowly yet roughly.
Their eyes only remained on you while a stream of blood dripped from their jaw to the ground. "You can't escape from here, not without my help." Their grace reached out their own bloodied hand towards you "I'll bring you back from your old world, it will be painful but you want to go back home right?"
You stared at their hand skeptical but also hesitant "How could I trust you with this?" You can't just blindly agree to something so mysterious, you aren't dumb and would just agree to anything without knowing more information "You have no other option yes?" Their grace retorted back at you
You stared down on the ground for a good minute and sighed. Returning back home is your goal after all, but this deal felt so shady however your leads on going home were 0. Having no other options left you finally gave a slight nod, showing that you've accepted their proposal "All right."
TORTURE WARNING
How long has it been exactly?
Your brain, once a vibrant organ, now felt like a pulpy, useless mass. A torrent of crimson, thick and viscous, spilled from the gaping wound in your stomach, painting the ground a macabre landscape. The metallic tang of blood filled your nostrils, a sickeningly sweet aroma that clung to the air. The once-bright fabric of your shirt was now a canvas of crimson, the blood soaking through to the skin beneath. The world blurred around the edges, a hazy kaleidoscope of red and gold as your consciousness slipped away.
Fearful and pleading eyes stared back at their grace's cold and wicked ones, not an ounce of remorse present in them
Their eyes, cold and calculating, locked onto yours, sending a shiver down your spine. "Don't look at me like that," they hissed, their voice dripping with malice and disgust. The dagger, its blade rusted and pitted, gleamed menacingly in the dim light, a cruel mockery of a weapon. They pressed the tip against your thigh, the cold metal biting into your skin. The blade sliced through your flesh, a searing pain that ripped through your body, leaving a trail of crimson in its wake. They savored the sound of your gasp, the way your body flinched with each agonizing inch of the blade's descent. Panic clawed at your throat, the air thick with the metallic scent of blood and the acrid tang of fear.
You struggled to escape from the torment, to run off like you had always done and expect this all to be a simple nightmare, but it was none of that, You could only trickle fresh droplets of salty tears out your eyes down to your cheeks.
Your cries were raw, desperate. A guttural symphony of pain and fear that echoed through the confined space. You begged for mercy, your words tumbling out in a frantic torrent. "Please, stop! I don't understand!" But did they listen? No. Their faces, blank and unreadable, offered no solace, no hint of compassion. You were a mere object in their hands, a plaything in their cruel game. The why of it all, the reason for this agonizing torment, remained a maddening mystery, a cruel riddle you were powerless to solve.
Their grace sloppily made a deep cut on your warm flesh, it was obvious that they had little to no experience on how to properly use or even wield a knife, but their grace's lack of skill only brought more discomfort and tears to roll down your face, since it opened more wounds than it should have.
Their grace, a cruel mockery of the word, plunged their fingers into the gaping wound on your thigh. The flesh tore, a sickening ripping sound that echoed in the confined space. You screamed, a primal, guttural cry that tore from your throat, but it was lost in the maelstrom of your own agony. Their fingers, calloused and cold, delved deeper, tearing through muscle and sinew, widening the wound until it gaped open like a hungry maw. The raw, exposed flesh pulsed with a throbbing pain, a crimson wellspring that seemed to beckon them further. With a sickening crunch, their fingers disappeared into the cavity, disappearing into the depths of your ravaged flesh.
Your breath hitched, a ragged gasp that tore from your lungs, and your nose erupted in a violent, uncontrolled sneeze. Your chest heaved, each inhale a desperate struggle for air, your lungs burning with the effort. Your voice, raw and hoarse, refused to obey your commands. A strangled croak escaped your lips, a pathetic whisper in the face of your mounting terror. Your heart hammered against your ribs, a frantic drumbeat that threatened to burst through your chest. A metallic tang filled your mouth, the taste of your own terror, a bitter, metallic aftertaste that lingered on your tongue. You felt yourself slipping, the edges of your consciousness blurring, the world fading into a dizzying kaleidoscope of pain and fear.
You swore to yourself that the inside of your throat was already gushing out with blood, a mettalic tang filling your mouth, after all, since you kept abusing it, this action resulted in making you unable to speak temporarily for the time being.
While you were dazed out on trying to subdue the pain inside your throat, Their grace's bloodied hand roughly grabbed you by the cheek and made you face them eye to eye.
"This is what you call a god? A pathetic excuse to even have this little thing"
They tapped repeatedly on the dendro vision dangling on the side of your waist, it's emerald glow taunting the two. you felt like you've just been thrown into the sea, too exhausted and famished after pushing your body to the limits, resulting to being unable to pull off a singular move or even get away from them.
"Even that redhead had made it quite farther than you."
Their grace abruptly blurted out to themselves, yet you heard it. You heard it vividly, the news of a red head meeting the same fate as you made you gradually lift your head to look at them "W— What do you mean?..." your vocals stung with every word you uttered out, but not as much as how your stomach dropped when beginning to realize who they meant.
But their grace only shook you off like nothing, ignoring to answer the question you desperately wanted. They swiftly choose to shift back on the main track they had planned much earlier.
"If you don't want to scream anymore, then I'll just cut this thing off" Their grace forcefully opened your mouth using their bloodied fingers, spreading it wide enough to grab your tounge harshly.
You struggled greatly to try and strain away from their grace's stiff grip, unfortunately for you though your body had already neared it's limit making it seem as if it was almost impossible to overpower their grace by now
But don't think you cant do crap. If you're going to die, you're gonna make this fucker suffer too.
Gathering your last remaining strength you bit down hard on their grace's fingers, hard enough to draw blood and even make contact with the flesh and bone. You applied even more force by each second, your canine teeth anchoring itself on their skin so that they won't be able to pull you off.
This only made their grace scream in agony for they felt the bone's deep inside their fingers beginning to break by the sole pressure and force, their grace then began attempting to shove your head away and let their fingers break free before it was too late.
"H—Hah..argh! A.. AHHHH!" A blood curling scream came out of Their grace's mouth seeing as 3 of their fingers had been bitten and ripped off clean, only leaving a massive surge of blood on their hand as a remnant
You spat out each finger on the ground and coughed in disgust, never once have you tasted that much blood before, it was nauseating to the stomach.
You swallowed down the incoming puke that was about to come out, trying to shake off the dizzy feeling going on inside your head.
The metallic taste lingered on your tounge with a stronger aftermath, your lips now tainted a deep shade of red from the blood with some of it dripping out from your mouth.
But their grace was quick to recover from the pain, they messily dug into their pocket and took out the hydrogen peroxide they had been secretly storing just for this moment incase you decided to fight back.
They popped it open and dumped the whole bottle's liquid onto your open wound, using their other hand that still had fingers to dig it deep inside and all around the flesh.
The insides of your flesh began to swell with the amount of things that had been entering, you tried suppressing the incoming screaming since it just worsens your throats current condition.
Nonetheless you failed and let out a holler in agony and pure discomfort, your body convulsing wildly as you brought your thigh closer to your chest for comfort. Hissing loudly since you felt the stinging sensation spread throughout every limb.
"You should've just gave up..." Their grace groggily stood up from the floor while shakily holding their wounded hand, even when you had already experiencing enough pain cause by them, Their grace simply thought it wasn't enough to pay for what you had done.
They bared their teeth at you, feeling a strong flame of hatred ignite in their heart, and so, without hesitating any longer their grace delivered a rough kick towards your lower abdomen making you throw up droplets of blood knocking the daylights out of your vision.
Brutal attacks continued to come in your way without a stop, as a way to protect yourself you curled yourself up into a ball with both of your hands defending your head from the assaults.
Their grace huffed heavily, exerting too much energy out of their body was bad for their own health as it effected the way they could even stand correctly.
Their grace stumbled slightly on their feet, the feeling of immense pain being foreign to them since the day they had become a false god not even a single scratch was laid on their fragile body, the reason being that there would be over 20+ characters guarding their grace's every movement
"Y— You idiot. . . Don't you want to get home? I'm doing you a huge favor yet you do this to me!? " Their grace's tone was laced with disbelief and fury since they had believed what they were doing was for the best.
You opened your mouth to protest what their grace declared so boldly whilst also hugging your stomach tightly from the previous strike, but to your suprise only inaudible and strained sounds left your tounge, not a single word was understood.
Your mouth gaped in realization before starting to slowly massage your throat, only realizing now how sore and painful it was to you.
Their grace's expression shifted from grimace to pure souless, That strange stare they gave off just screamed chaos in your point of view. "You wanted to know what happened to that redhead? Right?" They abruptly brought the topic out of the blue.
A bad feeling crept up to your stomach making you anxious about the answer their grace would give, nevertheless curiosity got the better of you, and at last, after a long moment of pondering what to do, you just slowly nodded your head to theirs grace's question.
Their grace felt overjoyed and sadistic by your answer, imagining in their mind what expression you'll make when they deliver the bad news to you.
"I invited over a blonde woman to inazuma along with some of her companions, if I recall she was the leader of something...." Their grace trailed off breaking eye contact with you to look at the non— existing sky, completely unaware of the horrified look on your face as a vivid memory of Jean's face flashed across your mind.
You began to have goosebumps at just the thought of having to deal with her again, even if your previous encounter was managed by the system alone.
Now that you've thought about it, where was the system now? It's been a long while since you've received their last message.
You bit back your lip, 'Settings' you said inside your head, hoping that the system hadn't dissapered and abandon you yet again.
Thankfully the system had not went away yet! It appeared right infront of you like usual.. Except it carried a odd message this time.
【Your fate has been realized, 4:44】
It's that fate thing again, just earlier the message had been mentioning your fate many times. But now besides it was a number... A number that kept decreasing by every second.
'A timer? But what for?' the more you asked yourself questions, the more none of them were answered and only left you with confusion.
Your (e/c) gazed back at their grace who smiled maliciously "Ah yes how could I forget?" they turned their heel and strutted towards you catching you off guard, you attempted to move away from their grace so that some distance could be made, however your bodies current condition flied over your mind leaving you almost paralyzed now.
You could only peer at the other persons with difficulty, bracing yourself mentally for whatever bullshit they had to say
But something was off, you knew that their grace was probably able to see the system. Yet this one message looked like only you could see it now.
Above their grace's head also consisted of a timer similar to your's 【6:66】. Only about two minutes longer than yours...
Your inner monolouge was soon cut short by a voice "I've brought a gift for you" Their grace said in a puzzling tone that left you with mixed thoughts.
Their grace proceeded to shove their hands into their coats pocket to show you what that little 'gift' was.
A vision, an golden jeweled amulet that allows the user to resonate with the seven elements freely. Most visions would consist of a vibrant color followed by the elements symbol
But in this case, the vibrant color was nowhere to be seen on the amulet. Only possessing a dull Grey color, similar to yours that was continously flashing from a vibrant viridescent color to a dull Grey one.
You observed the jewel closely, starting to dig through the countless events that occurred today.
Impatient by how long you took, their grace opened their mouth yet again "The blonde woman gave this to me as a welcoming gift, she got this from—"
"Diluc's dead body." You cutted them off this time, your eyes glued to the floor since everything just went blank at that exact moment.
You had mixed signals towards the redhead, he indeed attempted to take your life for the sake of what he had believed but stopped at the very last moment. Diluc did realize soon enough, however the trauma already left a mark inside your mental health making you uncomfortable whenever he was brought up.
Yet you couldn't bring yourself to hate him fully yet, only wanting to avoid the man if possible. But not like that, you never wished for diluc to permanently disappear!
It only took a heartbeat for him to go down on one knee in your presence, you couldn't lie to yourself since you felt conflicted by how fast diluc ultimately made up his mind without any hesitation.
Besides all that, he was still a character you liked before even getting transported here. So just imagine if diluc hadn't met you? He would still be alive to this moment.
Countless of things surfaced up ever since you've arrived. What you thought was the same Genshin Impact you loved and adored in the beginning, was far more twisted than you expected it to be only after staying for a few days.
'How could i always mess everything up? Did some curse latch itself onto my soul so that it could only bring chaos to those around me?' The system may have called you a 'god' or creator of this place, however you think the complete opposite.
Since you thought yourself as nothing but a thorn on Teyvat's side by now.
"Ha.. Haha... Hahahaha!" You clawed out your cheeks using the sharp edges of your nails, blood flowed down as well as fresh salty tears. The two fluids mixed together soiling your cheeks once more.
It stung really damn hard, but the pain never even registered onto your mind by how messed up your mind was at this point. Who would be still sane after going through what you went in this world? It's a miracle you managed to even compose yourself after dying.
You covered your mouth with both hands, the feeling of dread getting replaced with utter disgust. Their grace stared at the pitiful scene with a poker-face, not even fazed by the slightest.
This moment was your breaking point now.
【The system advises you to not do anything stupid! 】
【The system advises you to not do anything stupid! 】
【The system advises you to not do— 】
"Stop it." Your abrupt voice made their grace quirk a brow "What?" They placed back the Grey vision in their pocket to listen in on what you had to say
"I don't know what I've done for you to put me in this shit hole." You slammed your fist down on the floor making a loud bang You did it so that you could atleast lift your body even by the slightest.
"But I could careless on what would happen now." You stated in such a determined tone that their grace themselves felt off, having to then swiftly wield out their weapon, pointing it inches away from your neck.
"What are you staring at?" Their grace questioned raising a brow at your sudden burst of will
【1:00】
"Your horrendous face"
【20 seconds】
"Fuck you."
¿?
A variety of distinct and unique people crowded over a small wooden stadium built for a person who they deeply admired.
Yet that special person was nowhere to be seen. Countless witnesses have come forward to confess that they had last seen the individual accompanying a person with (h/c) locks and (e/c) eye's
Among the crowd owned two distinct figures, one of a blonde male with a long braided hair, the other floating beside the male with her appearance as a small child.
Aether and Paimon had just recently arrived at the nation of electro;Inazuma. in addition to find the Electro archon and ask her a series of questions.
Paimon floated around then took a halt "Traveler look! It's Zhongli and Venti!" She piped up, a clear voice of excitement to see the two familiar men they had encountered in their previous journeys
Aether turned his head to also take a peek at the situation. Zhongli and Venti walked side by side looking obviously worried about something, despite that, the two continued to bicker with each other stating that it was the others fault that (Name) got away.
The word (Name) left Aether intrigued, since it was the very same name as the creator or God that amber disclosed to them back in mondstat.
Aether only observed the situation quietly like he had always done, letting paimon do the talking for him since he was still unfamiliar with Teyvat's distinctive language.
"Zhongli! Venti! What brings you two here?" Paimon called out to them catching the two men's attention. Venti gave her a small wave while Zhongli maintained a humble expression
"We had been invited over via letter" Zhongli explained his situation to the two traveler's, Venti nodding his head since he also had the exact same reason "Ah yes, could I ask you two if you had seen a person with (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes?" Venti questioned them, Aether crossed his arms together already putting two and two together.
'Hm, I should find that (Name) person quickly... They should know something about my sister' Aether had already began to devise a plan on meeting (Name) whatever it takes, he figured that they couldn't have gone too far if Venti and Zhongli are just recently looking for them.
Aether glanced back at paimon and the two men, Paimon blabbered about some random topic that kept Zhongli and Venti at bay. He used this opportunity to try and strain away from the group without anyone noticing his disappearance.
'I should take a look around... (Name) probably had left some traces' Aether took one last deep breath and dived right back into the chaotic crowd, his eyes scanned the area to find anything out of place or strange.
The blond only continued to do so for about a short while till he decided to give up, finding nothing else but only dead ends to his search. It wasn't like he was expecting much either, he had only heard tales and stories about the individual (Name). Stories that had come from the townsfolk if not even his own trusted companions.
With a heavy heart filled with dissapointment, Aether resolved the case as a dead end with no clues nor leads, He'll just have to wait for something that could possibly lead him towards (Name)'s whereabouts.
"I'll return to Paimon and the others.." Aether mumbled to himself quietly, stretching his arms up high till he heard a small 'pop!'.
You know what else popped?
A dead body with (h/c) locks, their eyes shutted tight while their neck had a massive slash mark, blood seeped out of their wounded neck staining the stage their body fell on. The stage that was right infront of every audience to see.
"W—What is that!?!?"
"S—S—Someone help!!"
"Oh my archon's it's r—real!!"
Screams of terror engulfed the whole area with bystanders backing away from the body which oozed out a metallic crimson liquid, yet red wasnt the only liquid that seeped through their body.
A golden fluid mixed through with the crimson one, producing a beautiful yet horrid scene.
Even though their body was dead, one last message appeared that none of the audience members could see. 【You are one step away from successfully reincarnating.】
All civilians, archon's, and higher leagues stared at the corpse in pure disturbance, none daring to utter a single word as silence filled the area in mere seconds.
"Y—Your grace?" One voice came up, the bards voice trembled with fear like everyone else. Many heads turned towards Venti as realization finally kicked in.
That lifeless corpse that stained the wooden floors with their odd blood, that person who the guards recently chased down.
'The one I've been looking for.. Yet how did it turn out like this?' Aether checked upon the enormous crowd that had been formed, his eyes stalking on whoever had done this;
On whoever ruined his chance on finally receiving answers to this world.
His eyes scanned the area and halted at a distinct figure in the distance, their hands were wounded up greatly, Next to them laid a suspiciously bloodied weapon as the person had a look of anxiety washing over them, scurrying to hide it inside their clothes so that no one could see.
Of course, Aether wasn't one to be oblivious, he was completely aware of things and knew how to read a room, and this person had guilt written all over their face.
Aether took a step forward, determined to investigate this matter and find out what had truly happened to his creator.
But just before he could even reach the a large explosion erupted from the crowd, luckily none seemed to be injured by the sudden attack.
Aether turned his head to the noise, analyzing who or even what had caused it, however he immediately froze in place when he saw the situation
A old man vs a drunk bard
Oh archon's what were those idiots doing!
【Rip Bozo】
"Zhongli... If only you hadn't been in my way, my dear creator would be standing by my side right now!" Venti called out the other man's 'mistake' with an broken yell, yet Zhongli's expression remained a cool and humble manner... Well outside that is.
Inside the man's even more devastated than Venti, his heart shattered into small pieces, refusing to believe that his creator is very much gone from this world. Zhongli wanted to find out who did such a disgraceful and atrocious act to his god, his god that he worshipped for centuries before his retirement as a former archon. Even know as liyue had become a independent country, he continued to pray for his God to return in their glory once again.
The skies faded dark as clouds formed and poured down droplets of water onto the remaining 3 men who stood like it was going to result in a face off
"Hey you three!" a high pitched scream snapped them all out of the weighing tension, Paimon breathed heavily, placing her small hand on the pit of her stomach whilst looking exhausted "You all left Paimon alone! And what are you guys planning to do!" Paimon stomped her foot in the air out of pure frustration, Zhongli and Venti had forgotten that they were still talking with Paimon earlier and just abruptly left.
The three exchanged confused glances with each other, hesitating on what to do now. Aether was first to move, guiding the two men away from each other so that they won't try and rip each other to shreds
"Let's all calm down now shall we? We have bigger matters to face" Aether spoke up, his voice slightly calming down the others rage.
There was all too much going on right now, first it was the abrupt death of their creator, next was their 'grace' acting audibly suspicious with blood stained in their hands looking mortified. Now two archon's were about to bring destruction without being aware of their surroundings.
Aether himself felt frustrated over the situation, yet he never let his emotions get to him now. "I know you're all confused and angry right now. But bringing more chaos won't fix the situation!" He exclaimed loud and clear.
Though he himself couldn't deny the frustration boiling inside his heart, Aether didn't want the two archon's going back and forth with each other.
"Now if you just follow my lea— ugh!" Aether tumbled backwards by a sudden Shockwave erupting from below, making him land on his behind.
Then, Paimon flipped backwards in the air, screeching out her lungs as thunder striked all over the area around them which almost electrocuted paimon to death. "Eek! What in the... Paimon almost got..!" Paimon mumbled to herself in a startled voice, she covered her ears to block out the rest of the thunderous sounds, fleeing to aether for safety.
"What's happening!?" Aether uttered alarmed by the whole ordeal, those events that were shown definitely weren't something that came straight from mother nature, no, it came from something big
Worried for his companions, Aether spun his head around to quickly scout the two men who were just by his side.
"I will have order!"
"Time for take off!"
Venti and Zhongli was kept at bay by an overwhelming horde of monsters that rallied up and destroy anything on sight, the usual hostile enemies became even more aggressive by charging at anything on sight, whether it's a random civilian, animal, or even their very own comrades, nobody was safe from mass destruction.
Vision holders and the Tenryou Commission all fought back against the abyss, Roars of anguish and dismay covered the land of eternity as civilians ran for their lives.
Aether held back as much as he could, his heart accelerating quickly when adrenaline coursed through his veins sharpening his instincts and speed. But even as he gave it his all, the unknown force pushed back even harder, sending out a endless wave of troups to finish all of them off.
Oh but you think inazuma had only suffered?
Jean the acting grand master was forced to evacuate inazuma and back to mondstat to provide support and protection over its citizens against the destructive wrath of Dvalin along with hilichurls attempting to break into the city walls.
Liyue had no problems with fighting against the abyss, yet even so, the natural terrain brought a heavy toll on the citizens. There would be frequent tsunamis rushing over to destroy the precious country only to be stopped over and over again. Landslides and random boulders would roll down from the cliffs crushing anything below it.
Xiao, one of Zhongli's most closest adeptus pushed himself to the limit, stopping at no one to protect the precious land Morax had shoulder before retiring. Even so, having to witness innocent lives get taken from unnatural events triggered a past memory Xiao wished to forget in his mind.
Teyvat's shield slowly began to crumble, it's own terrain destroying the people who once roamed around the land peacefully only to meet a cruel end.
Their grace sat beside your lifeless body watching the chaos unfold with empty voided eyes. Memories flooded into their head, recounting how your body falled to the ground after they slashed your chest with their sword, penetrating the heart and lungs thoroughly.
Their grace knew it won't be long till they were going to succumb to deaths arms, a noose slowly wrapping itself around their neck, drowning them in a endless wave of suffocation. A slow and painful death awaited on their door step, and they could do nothing to stop it
Footsteps followed behind their grace along with a deafening sound of a blade dragging itself, bolts of electricity floated in the air as the tension began to thicken.
"Commiting a grave fault by taking part of the creators death, Deceiving the people of Inazuma to worship an inferior being like you." a cold and stoic voice hissed, the tip of an Amethyst colored blade rested on their grace's shoulder, only inches away from the neck.
"That would also include you, Raiden Shogun." Their grace stayed stiff in the position they were in, even in such times, they could only boldly talk to the puppet.
Raiden Shogun didn't deny the daring accusation, they too were deceived by their grace's act. "Yet you're aware, that your fate is still the same?"
Their grace looked up.
".. Yes."
【5 seconds】
Though I couldn't lie to myself, I felt afraid and intimidated by the single thought of dying. People disputed alot of events that could happen after you die. Maybe my soul will be lifted and be taken to the heavens.. Or hell. Would I get reincarnated again instead? But the sound of having to die again and again, only to live a life of misery sounds.. Frustrating.
Life is strange.
You're able to do everything, yet also can't. My fate is sealed to always die, from my previous life to this one.
The blade had gone cold, it's sharp edges running through the first layer of my skin down to the very last, slashing through the warm flesh with little to no difficulty. Such precision could only be achieved if the user had done this countless of times already.
Raiden's expression kept neutral, stoic and chilling eyes watching my own lifeless body fall to the ground with a stream of blood tainting the wooden floor.
...!
"Gah!... Ugh.. Ha.. Ha.."
Your heart hammered against your ribs, a frantic drumbeat echoing inside your ears. You jolted upright in bed, sheets tangled around your legs, and a cold sweat slicked your skin. Every muscle in your body throbbed with adrenaline. Your gaze darted around the room, (e/c) eyes wide and unfocused, struggling to grasp the chaotic jumble of memories that flooded your mind.
You fixate your eyes over to the surrounding area in a frenzy, noticing how the area consists of a small yet simple apartment complex with modern furnishings and interior.
Throwing the sheets that wrapped around your lower body aside, a careful yet thorough inspection began incase of any injuries you had sustained or carried.
Oddly enough, your body was completely unmarked. No bruises, no scratches, nothing. But a faint, persistent sting remained, like a phantom sensation, as if you'd just been choked.
The sting wasn't incredibly tackling to handle nor was it painless, it felt more like a prick..? Though you were unable to recall any information, memories, on what had happened, you vividly remember the important parts.
The devastating sensation of having your own neck slowly getting severed from your body, alone in a empty space with nothing but your own heart beat, slowly dying down as the cells in your body began to plumage.
A anxious scoff escaped your lips whereas your pupils started to shrink slowly. Your frigid hand trailed up onto your (h/c) locks, the icy feeling sending shivers down your spine.
"Was it all just a dream? No... No, no, no, no... It felt too real," you choked out, the words ragged and desperate. As you grappled with the impossible reality of what had transpired, a faint, dim light pulsed on your phone, lying across the bed like a beacon in the darkness.
It didn't take long till you finally acknowledge the strange light emitting from your phone which rested on a small table. Your brows scrunched together in confusion, wondering inside your mind on what that strange glimmer could be.
Deciding to seek out the answer for yourself, you hopped off the bed, your feet settling down on the cold wooden floor below, little by little you made your way to the small dark wooden table in a slow pace to investigate.
The sound of your footsteps halted once you were hovering in front of the oak table, you fidgeted and fumbled around with your fingertips, Why did you suddenly feel nervous? the light coming from your phone only continued to shine brightly, taunting your presence whilst also alluring your curiosity more and more as time passes by.
You inhaled a vast amount of air, the oxygen flowing through your nose and slipping into the lungs, after some short seconds, you exhaled out all of the air you ingested. With a more calm demeanor, you picked it up and held it tightly in your hands.
Your eyes locked onto the screen, watching as it began moving by itself, entering your home screen and scrolling past through apps. "What?... Why won't it.." you whispered lowly in confusion, attempting to gain control once again on your phone but only to fail everytime.
Frustration simmered as you fumbled with your phone, another failed attempt sending a wave of despair through you. Just as you were about to fling it to the ground in a fit of rage, a flurry of white feathers erupted in the air, catching you completely off guard. A pristine snow-white dove, its plumage immaculate, perched serenely on the windowsill, watching you with an unblinking gaze.
Your eyes locked onto the animal, a strange yet nostalgic feeling erupting deep inside your body. Where have you seen this dove before? And who the hell opened your window while you were away.
A cold shiver ran down your spine as an icy breeze swept through the window, its chilling touch making the hairs on your skin stand on end. You hugged your body, seeking comfort and warmth, while your teeth chattered uncontrollably. Having enough, you hopped of your bed, making your way through the window.
As you approached the windowsill, you noticed the dove had already begun to take flight. A strange wave of disappointment washed over you as you watched the graceful bird leave, its wings scattering feathers in its wake. One feather fluttered down, and you managed to catch it. Upon closer inspection, you saw that the feather not only had a cream base but was also streaked with subtle hints of (color)
"... What a weird bird"
You mumbled out, turning the feather around to further inspect it. The feather itself seemed perfect for a quill, making it more exotic.
Though not from afar, your device had a dim light twinkling on its screen, one moment it would light up the next it would turn black.
The glimmering subsided, replaced by a brief, stark display of binary numbers on the screen
" 01010111 01100101 00100000 01100001 01110010 01100101 00100000 01100011 01101111 01101101 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100000 01110100 01101111 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 "
That was it's last's moment as the screen erupted in smoke, a foul and repulsive odor flowing throughout the small room. It only took you a small few seconds to comprehend the crisis.
You were going to quit playing games by now.
