My headcanons for what Cari and Veahs own Field Notes look like:

Did I already talk abt this in the discord months ago? Yes, I'm talking abt it again cuz I luv them.

Cari's notebook is red with golden accents, with a page finder and strap that holds the book closed- it has stars surrounding the edge of the cover

Kinda like these:

Instead of Field Notes: Cari's name is "Comets Notes!" And has the axolotl constellation in all of Ghaae's colours.

Cari writes small, and often draws stars and feathers in the corner of their pages.

They don't really use their notebook as a journal or diary, more like how Rae carries around Field Notes and writes whatever he thinks is important.

(They mostly rewrite stories that the auras, winds and allays tell them, as well as writing down everyone's favorite flowers, foods, ect ect)

Veah's notebook is the purple from the first picture with a page finder but no strap- instead a little "lock" that keeps the book closed (it's not actually locked)

She has flowers that surround the cover of the book, the pretty constellations and moon, and the words "Veah's Thoughts!"

Veah has the Lupus and Cassiopeia constellations on her front cover.

Veah tends to write more in Ender and Common, she writes big and draws flowers and stars in the corner of her pages

She uses her notebook as more of a journal than anything else, writing down her thoughts and feelings, dreams she's had, and even drawing what Birdie looks like.

I'm having such normal thoughts and feelings abt the Morningcrest and Nightingstar kids :3

Also, I've come to give a fun Icarixis headcanon

When 'Birdie' (Icarixis) talks to Veah, it still sounds like Icarus but it's almost slightly glitchy and Disorded due to everyone else forgetting them once they became Quixis

Also when Veah drew them, it actually more looks like them! This is mostly bc Isla told Veah about Icarus and later Veah asked Birdie (Icarixis) what they looked like!

Rae looked at the picture and can tell they look familiar but he sure cant figure to remember why-

I waited for ven epilogue to go rant about head cannons. And I’m so glad I did.

Anyway

Head cannons!

1. I headcannon that ven remembered Icarus a few hours after getting back to the past. And he spend the rest of his life making small little drawings or something for Icarus. Which of course disappeared a few minutes later.

2.Rea knows something is wrong with his memory. He’s aware that something or someone is missing. He’s searches his mind several times looking for it but found nothing. It’s one of his other projects. He’s not yet thought of any connection to his quixis research.

3.Veah talks to Icarus like Icarus talked to Midas with the wall and pond. Though instead of big things they talk through flowers. Small things that are insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Veah’s got her own notebook and everything. Wanting to be just like his dad. Rea doesn’t know. Cause Veah like his dad wants to figure it all out before sharing anything.

4. Ocie remembers Ven. The first time she realized the others don’t she tried to tell someone about ven only for Icarus to intervene and tell her to not talk about Ven. Ocie put up a bit of a fight cause to her this was yet another god like person trying to tell her what to do. But eventually Icarus got her to pinky swear she wouldn’t tell anyone.

5. The first time isla met aax she was very curious about him. She wanted to know as much as possible about her sons partner.

Similarly when isla met wolf she asked him a whole bunch of questions as well. Until she learned that fenris was a prince and where he was from. They spend the rest of the day talking about fenris’s family

seen some cari headcannons recently and wanted to throw a couple of mine into the ring

cari has an absolutely horrible sense of direction, arguably worse than caspians

when icarus gets back from being quixis, they try to teach cari how to make potions, but they don't really get it and every potion they try to make just becomes really bad tasting water

Veah and Cari head canons :]

- when they're old enough to use elytra, Cari and Caspian fly around the Grove with the wind,

- Veah ends up being really protective of Cari after they're born, to the point where if Cari has a nightmare, or cries in the middle of the night, She's running to their crib before Rae or Caspian.

- Rae taught Veah how to hold Cari,

- When they were both babies, Rae would hold Veah and Cari in his arms and carefully dancing around the room singing to them.

- Rae taught Caspian the lullaby Isla used to sing to him, and one night Rae woke up to Caspian holding Cari against his chest and quietly singing to them. (And yes- Rae got up and sang along before the three of them fell back asleep)

- Veah taught Cari the Happy Hare dance- Who then taught Rae, Caspian, Aax and Fenris

- Cari sees Aax as another parent figure, usually using the term "Par" to refer to her. They picked this up from Oscar and Len

- Despite being the quiet one, Cari is a chatterbox with whoever they're most comfortable with. This has ended up with Rae and Cari having a full blown conversation about a random subject, then Ulysses or someone else walks into the room, and Cari stops talking, and ends up whispering in Rae's ear if they have a question. (What no I'm not projecting from when I was a kid nooooo)

- Ocie babysat Veah and Cari *once* (she taught them how to cuss, so when The Dads™ came home, Veah looked at Fenris and said "Aunty Kai taught us the word Shit!!"

- Cari watched Rae sew, embroidered and knit clothes, in a very similar way to how Rae watched Isla teach herself.

- When Veah first saw Cari asleep in their crib, she reached in and gently put her hand on their head

- Athena and Bruin taught Veah and Cari how to make flower crowns, Veah always wears Lilacs while Cari wears Dandelions.

Hello!! I’ve been thinking about veah a lot since the chronicles of wonder got announced

Sooo have veah headcanons! (Some sad some silly)

-veah Loves Disney movies she will drag her dads and whoever else is in the area to sit and watch one and she’ll sit on the persons lap because they cant leave if she sit on them

-veah tries so many hair colours as she gets older she dyes the underside of her hair whatever her favourite colour is for the month

-her rooms is covereddd top to bottom in flower she visits malitae often and they make her so many vases for all her flowers

-when veah finds out Cari can read the book of the present veah tries,it hurts she freaks out that her sibling has something she doesn’t she’s not mad at Cari just maybe a lil jealous she can’t shake the feeling she needs to be smart ,not because people won’t love her if she’s not but because she was always the smart kid top of her class,knowing so much but all of that feels so small compared to what Cari can do they can do things no one else can and veah is veah and she maybe that doesn’t always feel like that’s good enough

-she gets really overstimulated really easily she loves parties seeing people,eating food,dancing but she can’t handle the noise,the lights,how her party outfit starts feeling weird on her skin

-because she gets so overstimulated non of her clothes,toys or anything thing else she owns has tags on it because they freak her out

-veah has a connections map of how everyone in the family by blood or by love is connected

-she goes to the world sisters for so much advice literally the most complex thing or the simplest thing

-veah growls when she’s angry or upset

-when veah gets in Trouble the punishment is no books and veah HATES IT the worst thing you can do for that kid is take away the opportunity to learn

-she goes nonverbal when she gets stressed

-veah got given a comm after ari lost her one too many times

-Fenris lets her help plan festival of lights (it looks like the cutscene of when rune and slyph work yes I brought up bound in a fable thing shhhh)

-veahs a really good baker,a messy baker but it’s still really good food

-she brings at least one pet or one allay everyone she goes

-she does cartwheels to get place

-she mirrors Icarus so much Isla and Rae see so much of them in her

-she is so good at potions she has a potion lab attachment in her bedroom (sound familiar) she tells her dad about how her friend birdie teaches her all about them!

-she is so tall,I mean look at her genetics fen is so tall and her grandma Derian isn’t definitely isn’t short and it’s not like raes short either,she gets taller the aax by the time she’s like 8

I have so many more!! And I’ll probably have even more after chronicles of wonder!
