ALRIGHT IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER CHAOTIC NON-CHRONOLOGICAL FIRST THOUGHTS POST. AS ALWAYS, SPOILERS AHEAD!

1- not that any of them will see this, but just, once more so much gratitude and admiration for the cast and crew. This show was worked on with so much love and dedication, especially by the performers and it's visible in every scene. I'm in love with pretty much all of them and hope to see them in season 2,3,4,5 and so on, but also in many other projects ❤️

2- Romitri, like I admitted before, was literally my first ever OTP, the ship that got me into fanfic, so most of my posts were screaming about them and the depth and chemistry Sisi and Kieron conveyed, but I just wanted to take a special moment for our Lissa and Christian. Daniela and Andre were and are impeccable, especially considering the emotional roller-coaster they had to work through this season and they did it so so well. His little smile with the "Let's live dangerously."? Perfection. I melted right then and there.

3- Mia and Meredith are the best couple I love them. More of them always please. So happy they didn't fridge the lesbians goddamn. Also?? Meredith alchemist storyline yes please? Tell me more?!

4- the team ups we got to see! Christian and Rose, Romitri, Rose and Janine, all of it was incredible.

5- I would have loved for Romitri to have more significant 1:1 moments and the ending hurt but in such a good way, but ugh the emotions this episode all around were incredible again

6- I love they sort of subverted the trope of "main couple is in love because the writers said so" by dedicating a scene to proving they know each other with that bickering scene.

7- also yes I love the battle couple trope, sue me

8- RIP Andre (round 2)

9- the way my heart DROPPED when our Comrade was bit

10- I love that they make Dimitri have a potentially more interesting role in everything in the second season by making him the 'inside man'. Like yes undercover Comrade go off, protecting the love of your life and your charge the best you can even if it means you can't be together with Rose the way you want to

11- although, does this mean he's gonna have to fake date Tatiana next season? I do love the potential for tension and drama there😏

12- God I would really love a second season. In the end I enjoyed this series so much and seemingly people enjoyed working on it, they deserve another round at this

Random thought; could Tatiana be an alchemist? Or a witch? Considering she doesn't move like a Moroi. I've not read Bloodlines so I'm not sure that anything would disqualify her from that that we've learned so far. She only wants the throne, she doesn't want to rule, wouldn't it make sense she's maybe part of an attempt of the Alchemists to further remove vampires from the human world/exterminate them completely.

Okay round up time for my previous predictions and what we'll be seeing next season (manifesting guys, I'm manifesting so hard!) as always, spoilers for the entirety of season 1 of Vampire Academy, as well as all six books below the cut!

Okay so things I got right!

Tatiana becoming queen: definitely didn't expect the old queen to die, or that she was some great evil mastermind, or the twist with Lissa being suspected of murder, but I got a small part of it right and I'll take that win lol. That being said, definitely didn't see André's plottwist coming, not that he was alive and especially not that he'd reunite with Lissa only to become Strigoi chow approx. 0.2 seconds later. (Daniella and Sisi' 's acting though, heart-rending, so good!)

Victor's descent into 'evil' I also got right, and his motivations as to why he resorted to kidnapping Lissa. As stated before I like that they gave him an actual arc here instead of just revealing him as the wizard behind the curtain.

I kinda got the thing right with the running away. I didn't expect there to be like a twice over running away, but I do like how they resolved this and got us back basically to where we kinda began book 1,but with much higher stakes and more established roles for the other characters.

I didn't expect Romitri to be in such a place of admittance with each other, but I do love how they set it up with Dimitri becoming their inside man, probably with Meredith, Mason and Eddie and Dean helping out/interacting. Maybe to keep Rose and Lissa safe Dimitri has to honeypot this and because he and Rose aren't officially together this causes more ~tension~ between them? The potential is endless and I'm here for it.

Another new prediction: Andre will be the Strigoi to awaken Dimitri. Maybe Andre tries in an earlier spirit staking event or just in the power struggle at the Strigoi compound? Because I can't imagine them not doing Strigoi Dimitri at all.

Most of my other predictions went out tge door with the Finale but honestly so okay with that because I was a bit doubtful after 8 & 9 whether there would be a solid ending to this season and IMO they definitely delivered!

I have some lore Meta coming up and fic I want to write as well so definitely not done yet with this!
