VALENTINE’S DAY IS ruined.

arthur + florist!reader = him trying to get you flowers but you know every stupid florist in monaco and he can't exactly buy flowers for you from your shop, so he has to either send another driver to get them from a different store or drive a couple hours away to find someone you don't know :3

valentine's day was creeping closer and closer and arthur had no idea what he was supposed to do regarding getting flowers for you

you see, you were a florist, and a very well known one at that

every single other florist in monaco knew about you whether by being your friends and routinely doing business with you

arthur knew he couldn't go to any of them - there was bound to be someone who told you what he was doing and arthur wanted it to be a total surprise

he had only a few options and he had to weigh them quite heavily before he made his decision

he could: a) get flowers from a monegasque florist but run the risk of you finding out, b) drive out of the city but avoid your questions about where he was going, c) get charles to go and get flowers and, again, risk you finding out or d) send a completely different driver to go and get flowers instead

after speaking to a bunch of drivers as well as ferrari staff and his family, arthur settles on the last idea

that's how poor old ollie & kimi ending up being sent out to every single flower shop in monaco to get flowers for arthur to give to you

it... was not a good idea because the pair of them got distracted buying flowers for each other and ultimately arrived back at the paddock with an array of flowers before realising they failed to do what arthur asked them too

arthur accepted their failures and told them it was fine, but really, he was starting to stress out hardcore

his decision weighing had taken a while and so valentine's day was tomorrow and he still didn't have any flowers for you

he was heavily considering lying to your face and embarking upon the journey out of monaco when his saving grace appeared

oscar piastri.

you see, lando had gotten oscar flowers as a total surprise and oscar.. hadn't gotten lando any because again.. surprise

on his quest to find a good florist, oscar had remembered that you were dating arthur and that you were a florist, so he asked arthur the address to your shop and told him why he needed it

arthur, knowing that you were hands down the best florist in all of monaco, decided that, actually... maybe he could buy flowers from you! it just wouldn't be him that collected them

so off oscar was sent to go and collect flowers for lando as well as flowers for you

you had forgotten all about arthur and oscar's friendship so you thought nothing of it when he came in and got the flowers, pretty sure this was just another example of arthur recommending you to a driver

until the next morning when you woke up and arthur presented the very big bouquet you'd prepared the day before as one of his gifts to you

you burst into giggles but thanked him for being so sweet and kind

you offered him a refund and he refused it, saying he'd already paid oscar and he wasn't about to rob you of your business' money

they were the sweetest flowers you'd ever had and you swore they lasted a couple days longer than they should've

2025 Year of Fluff

I got inspired to make this after a friend shared with me the 2023 Year of Whump made by @soheavyaburden and I wanted to make something like it, but for individuals like me who prefer fluff and can’t (for one reason or another) do a month long challenge. I’ve had this sitting in drafts for 2 years and I’m finally going to publish it this year.

This is my first time ever doing something like this, but I did my best to have a nice mix of prompts that can work for romantic fluff, platonic fluff, family fluff, etc. so that no matter what kind of fluff you want to do, there’s prompts for you!

I also themed some weeks around big holidays for those who celebrate them while keeping the prompts vague or open to interpretation and aren’t really holiday specific. For example, the week of Easter there’s “scavenger hunt” and the week of Christmas there’s “gift exchange” and “home for the holidays.”

For any prompts where there’s an “X” in it, just substitute the X out for whatever word you want that fits in the context of the prompt. Any prompts marked with “(any)” really means any interpretation of the word/prompt. For example: “Game Day (any)” can be anything from actual sports to video games, board games, card games, RPGs, etc.

You can choose to do this event monthly, weekly, or wild card and change up which you do! Wild Card is basically doing whatever prompt strikes your fancy from any month/week!

This is completely at your leisure! No stress, no pressure, just fun and fluff! Feel free to mix & match prompts or pair with other challenges to your heart’s desire (the only exception is whump, hurt/comfort is fine but there needs to be comfort).

This is open to all fandoms, relationships, forms of media creation (except AI), etc.!

This had been the best Valentine’s Day ever. A beautiful drive through the hills of wine country. A lovely picnic by a lake followed by an afternoon spent getting a couples massage and then shopping. If you and your honey need help setting up a romantic evening or Valentine's Day, let us help you out! We've set up a few Valentine's Day packages involving lodging, food, drinks, and something fun for you to do!

DOWNTOWN PACKAGE: your evening will start with dinner and drinks at Evolution, at 6PM EST before your cab will be ready to take you to Stubs for a movie at 8PM EST. Afterwards, you can catch a show at 10PM at The Mirage, before you will be dropped off at The Brownstone Inne. The next morning, you'll be treated to a complimentary breakfast in bed!

COASTAL PACKAGE: if you want to spend time at the beach, you can start your evening with a couples spa treatment at Azure at 4PM EST, before you'll be treated to dinner at Sandcastles at 7PM EST. A boat will be waiting in the marina for a moonlight boat ride (don't worry, you'll have a warm blankets and a heater!) before you have a nightcap at Jack's, and then spend the night at Gull's Landing.

COUNTRYSIDE PACKAGE: begin your day in the Tea Room at Pine Grove Gardens, sipping tea, eating scones. spend your afternoon at The Wheel at 4PM, making pottery together before you head over to Overlook for apps, dinner and dessert at 7PM! At 9PM, you will have a private wine tasting experience at Handpick'd, and then retire for the evening to a your room at The Barn at Lake Malory.

If you're not all coupled up and lovey dovey this year, we have some fun things for you to do, too! These events are set up to take place on the 13th, 14th or 15th, so if you're looking for something to do...

PARTY AT VIBRATIONS: Vibrations is closed to the general public on these three nights so that singles can come out and mingle! They will have all sorts of love (or anti-love!) related drinks available, as well as snacks and some of your favorite songs to dance to. Come with your friends, or come solo and have a good time.

THROWBACK FUN: The Fun Spot will be open for singles, and is the perfect spot to bring your bros or your girls and spend some time bowling, roller skating, or playing in the arcade! Maybe you'll get lucky and win a giant stuffed animal for that person that you've been admiring for a while. There's also good snacks and drinks available, since it's adults only!

COOKING CLASSES: whether you want to come alone, or with your friends, or maybe have a meet cute with flour on your nose, join up with everyone at Mack's for a fun cooking class! They'll be teaching you how to make some of their favorite dishes (from burgers to apps to their nachos and steaks), and then the best part: you get to kick back and enjoy it!

Threads can be written for this 'event' any time between February 8th and 23rd. They cannot be started after, but they absolutely can be enjoyed as long as you would like to afterwards, as well! We will have a plot / thread call post in the OOC blog where you can let others know if you are participating and let them know what your characters will be up to! xx

MumScott Week Day 5: Meet Ugly / Flower Shop AU

Mumbo wakes up in a hospital bed. Which is not good. The person sitting next to him is a stranger, which is also not good. For a brief moment he wonders if he’s fallen into some bad drama plot where he has amnesia for years and years of his life, but he glances at his phone and finds that yes, it’s still 2025, exactly as it was when he woke up this morning. His only amnesia appears to be for the events that landed him here.

“Morning, sleepyhead,” says the person sitting next to him in a Scottish accent. “Or, afternoon I guess. You’ve been out for hours. How are you feeling?”

Mumbo stares at them. They have light blue hair and soft blue eyes, wearing a blue flannel worn open over a white shirt with some kind of rainbow pattern on it. It takes him several seconds to process the fact that they’ve asked him a question. He swallows. “Er... fine, I think? My head hurts.” He reaches up and finds that his head has been bandaged. “Not to be rude, but... who are you?”

His new companion laughs. “Scott,” they declare, extending a hand. “And I didn’t catch your name, when you came into my shop, slipped on discarded flower petals, split your head on the corner of my counter, and passed out.”

Mumbo’s face heats up. That is... quite possibly the most embarrassing thing he’s ever done. And he’s got quite a track record of doing embarrassing things. “I am so sorry,” he rushes to say. “I’m really quite clumsy.”

“Clearly,” says Scott, looking amused. “Your name?”

Mumbo flushes even deeper. “Mumbo,” he stutters out. “Mumbo Jumbo.”

If Scott finds his name ridiculous (the way everyone else does), they don’t show it. “Lovely to meet you, Mumbo. I’ll stay here with you ‘til the doctor comes back, but then I really ought to get back to my shop.”

Mumbo nods. “Gosh, thank you for staying with me all this time, I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with all this.”

“Well, I wasn’t going to let you wake up alone,” Scott declares. “But now that I know you’re safe, I gotta open up my shop.”

That’s the third or fourth time they’ve mentioned a shop, and Mumbo’s curious, so he asks. “What kind of shop do you run?” Scott grins.

“I’ve got a flower shop. It’s a sweet little place I run with my platonic soulmates Pearl and Cleo.” They twirl a stray strand of hair around their finger as they speak. “We’ve known each other for ages, and we each have different specialities. Pearl does arrangements for events, Cleo makes the bouquets for like, birthdays and Valentine’s, and I handle the administrative side, keeping the books, filling orders, and so on.”

Mumbo smiles at them. “That’s excellent.” He has another question on the tip of his tongue, but just then the doctor comes back in and starts to question him. Scott pats his hand and leaves.

He doesn’t expect to see Scott again. He can’t for the life of him remember the name of the shop he was visiting when he had his incident, and the doctors want to keep him for a couple of days for observation. But the next day, Scott appears holding a thin vase with a single flower in it. It’s cone-shaped, white petals with a yellow stamen in the centre. They set it on the desk next to his bed and sit down, smiling.

“How are you recovering?” they ask. Mumbo smiles back.

“Better today than I was yesterday. I still get quite dizzy when I try to stand, but apparently head wounds always bleed like that, so it’s not something to be all that concerned about. I’ve been trying to read, but it’s hard to focus.”

Scott looks... fond? Which seems a bit strange. But Mumbo’s not going to question it when a beautiful person is sitting next to him giving him their full attention.

“What’s the flower?” he asks. Scott glances at it.

“Calla lily,” they inform Mumbo. “Represents beauty.”

Mumbo raises his eyebrows. “Beauty?”

Scott meets his gaze and holds it steadily. “Beauty,” they confirm. “Much like yours.”

Mumbo flushes and breaks the eye contact. “You don’t mean that,” he mumbles. Scott shakes their head.

“I absolutely do.”

Mumbo clears his throat and changes the subject, but that thought plays on his mind all day, even after Scott leaves.

Scott comes back with a new flower every day that Mumbo is in the hospital, sometimes bringing stories about the shop or its co-owners. A gardenia, a gladiolus, a hibiscus. The last day he’s there, Scott brings him marjoram, which symbolises joy and happiness.

“I’m getting released tonight,” Mumbo tells him, and Scott looks a little sad.

“I see,” they breathe. “I’m happy for you.”

Mumbo forces a smile. “I’m looking forward to visiting your shop again.”

Scott looks up from where they’d been inspecting their lap. “Really?”

Mumbo nods earnestly. “I’ll be there as soon as possible.”

Scott looks thrilled. “I can’t wait to see you again.”

That gets Mumbo to pause. “Did you think I was just going to walk out of your life?”

Scott shrugs. “Well, I wasn’t sure if you...” They trail off, looking at the wall. Mumbo reaches out to put a hand on Scott’s wrist.

“I’m glad we’re friends,” Mumbo says, smiling at them. “I want to keep being friends with you.”

Scott smiles back. “Me too.”

Sunny didn’t need an excuse to go shopping for candy. It was something she did with somewhat frequency. In a home with three women, there pretty much always had to be something sweet around the house at all times for the sake of sanity. She figured that she could kill a couple birds with one stone. Even though, everyone sort of had their own ‘valentine’s’ or plans in general, she didn’t think the exchange between friends had to stop once you were out of school. She always liked to put together a little something for her roommates so she figured she’d grab some of Stelly and Sylvie’s favorites to include in a little basket of things for each. All love didn’t have to be romantic after all. With hands full of bags of candy, she made a turn to try and go find the sour candies nearly crashing into a another customer. “Sorry,” she apologized, stopping herself before offering a smile. “Busy trying to find something special for the lady in your life?”

Hello. This is the Winter Troupe’s Tsumugi Tsukioka.

It’s getting warmer little by little, isn’t it? Recently I’ve been watering the flower bed with excitement for the spring flowers to bloom. It’s still cold in the mornings and evenings, however, so let’s all be careful and make sure to not get sick.

By the way, the other day I chanced upon an event hall decorated for White Day in the shopping mall. I went to check it out with the Spring Troupe’s Sakuya-kun, and we both noted that it was smaller in scale than the one for Valentine’s Day. Perhaps this can’t be helped, as unlike Valentine's Day, there is no custom of giving specific gifts during White Day, and many people give out all sorts of things besides chocolates.

There were many delicious-looking sweets at that hall, so Sakuya-kun and I bought lots to bring back home and eat together with everyone. They were all so happy with the sweets that they were gone in no time, and that in turn made me happy as well.

This may be a little late, but I would like to thank you for all the support in the form of gifts, letters, and messages on social media that you left on Valentine’s Day, as well as for everything you send on other days as well. Thank you very much.

Please look forward to the day we can express our gratitude towards you in person.
