La Scaloneta is a...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s clear that both fans and players share the same sentiments toward La Scaloneta. “ An incredible group that was put together. When you are at the club sometimes you say, how long is it until you go to the national team? You are happy to be there ”, this is how Paredes defined the squad.
Tumblr media
- The 'infamous' Players' Group Whatsapp
Paredes is the one who was in charge of creating the group chat. “ We were following the World Cup group drawing through Whatsapp. No, it’s not called La Scaloneta. The coach doesn’t like the nickname, sometimes we tell him jokingly. We left it (the Whatsapp group chat's name) at ‘Copa America’ because it was created when we play for Copa America ”
(Lautaro and Cuti confessed that a day after the World Cup Final, Paredes renamed the group chat from 'Copa America Champion' to ‘World Cup Champion’).
Another story Paredes told about the group chat was, “ We always talk. Every time one of us has to play we try to watch and talk after the game. There are many times that we have to play at the same time and we can’t, but we always try to look at each other ”
Tumblr media
- A lot of times they have to become rival for 90mins, but let's pray for this squad to remain as a "Brother" for a very long time 🤞
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- The way they take care of each other
Tumblr media
Paredes took a trip down memory lane to the first moment he and De Paul broke the ice with Messi. He said, “ It was during an afternoon when we still had 2 hours before training and didn’t know what to do. And Rodri said, ‘That’s it, let’s grab the cards, mate, and knock on Leo’s door’. The idea is that simple; to play truco, drink mate, listen to some music, and hope he would receive us in the best way. We were lucky he opened the door to his room for us and everything has worked well since that moment "
Tumblr media
De Paul on Messi: Having him, everything is easier. On a club level, I only had contact with him once, at Valencia vs Barcelona. Apart from that, I didn’t know him. Given everything he lives through he could be a reserved character, so he surprised me (as it turns out) he enjoys having a mate, listening to a song, and playing truco. We do warm-up games, and I say: ‘Leo, I’ll take you on!’, he loves that. That humanizes him. You can see him like he's from another dimension, but he’s just a person.
Furthermore, De Paul describes his role in the National Team as a ‘spare tire’. I have no problem putting it like that. And I’ll do anything to wear this jersey. With my role, we can cover Paredes and help Messi, everything comes in its own time whether it’s to help Messi to attack, or hold back to cover Paredes. You compliment them.
Tumblr media
Messi's praise of De Paul
Tumblr media
Between players, it has been well-known that the secret to make Leo (Messi) happy is by treating him normally. However, Cristian Romero said in reality it worked the other way around.
Cuti: Since I joined the National team, Leo always treats me like I am one of them, he made me see how simple it is beyond everything he has won in his career.
Tumblr media
"Rodrigo De Paul desde el primer día lo protegió, lo abrazó y lo apadrinó." - Molina's father told the story about how De Paul took care of his son when Molina first time played abroad for Udinese
Molina: I was at my house when Rodri with Correa were the first ones to call me and said ‘Congratulations! You deserve it! I hope you don’t flatter yourself (note: in a joking manner)’. I didn’t understand it until they told me that I had been summoned by the National Team.
Tumblr media
Paredes to De Paul: How well we raised these 3 (Cuti-Licha-Moli)
Meanwhile, long before acting as Molina’s ‘godparent’, Rodri was the ‘little brother’ of Ota back when the 2 of them played for Valencia (and they’ve been a roommate since Brazil's 2019 Copa America). Take a look back at their Instagram, there are so many photos of them together both on-off pitch, even after Ota moved to Manchester, the friendship still continued.
Tumblr media

Love how the young ones 'take advantage' by making the elder do the cooking
- Their attention to the injured ones
Tumblr media
Players' support for Gio; before, during, and after his comeback from injury
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mac Allister about Garnacho: I'm sure Licha is working on it (persuading Garna to join Argentina) right now
Licha: I'm taking him with me to Argentina
It’s like a cycle of them taking care of each other, one another 💕 Just like how Ota took care of Rodri and Rodri took care of Molina in return. Gio’s presence helped Cuti to adapt when they were both in Tottenham even for a little while. Tagliafico helped Licha while both played for Ajax. Leo welcomed Paredes in the NT and later Paredes (together with Di Maria & Ney) helped Leo adjust to a new life in Paris, and now it’s Licha’s turn to be ‘the old brother’ of Garnacho.
Meanwhile, so many people against Garnacho join the Argentine side, mostly because they are afraid this kid’s personality will ruin the ‘harmony’ within players and all those bullshit talk about him idolizing Ronaldo. Well, in my opinion, I am 100% sure that the second Garnacho misbehaves (if ever), Licha will be the first to reprimand him. For real though, I don’t think there will be bad individuals inside this NT as long as there are players like De Paul, Paredes, and Dibu.
And yes, like Kun said, wish that the more Garnacho spends time seeing Messi play, the faster he will realize who the real GOAT is,
Tumblr media
although imo it’s not a crime to choose CR7 over Messi? if Messi can be best friends with Neymar and Suarez (both are Argies’ rivals), then why can’t Garna choose CR7 over Messi? It's only a matter of preference (not loyalty), anyway.
Meanwhile, Haters had a field day over Garnacho's injury news. Too bad we can't see Licha really taking Garna to Argentina.
- The 'dont-touch-Leo-or-I-will-kill-you' movement:
Tumblr media
Throwback to Kun's reaction seeing the UCL drawing when PSG, Juventus, and Benfica were in the same group.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meanwhile… Di Maria (& Messi himself) be like.. 😂
Tumblr media
- Different interviews were conducted at different times, but these players shared the same stories about the squad
Tumblr media
To quote Paredes: none of them makes a bad face if they have to be corrected, while Dibu said: ‘Acá nadie pone mala cara’
Dibu: One fell and the other ten help him to get up Licha: If they touch one (of us), we all go (to defend him)
De Paul said ‘Everyone knows what they’re expected to do’, similar to Paredes’ statement ‘Each one knows what they have to contribute’
Throwback to September 2019 during the match against Mexico. Argentina got a chance to score a goal via a penalty kick after Lautaro’s shot touched the hand of Mexico player. It’s understandable for Lau to think that he should be the player in charge of the pen kick since he already scored a brace and aimed for a hattrick. But somehow after Lau took the ball from Ochoa, Paredes demanded the ball from Lau and kicked the penalty himself. Paredes eventually scored & celebrated the goal with Lau, and 6 mins later Lautaro succesfully scored a hattrick. After the game, Lau posted a photo of him and Paredes with a playful caption to quickly shut down any rumor about an ‘altercation’ between him and Paredes during the penalty kick.
Tumblr media
As for now, for me, it is ironic how people assume bringing Garnacho to the Scaloni squad can bring ‘dressing room drama’. No, it’s not. It’s the fans' ‘toxic’ culture that could destroy this family. The way people start to compete players against each other or criticize players’ World Cup performance while disregarding their roles in the previous tournaments. Yeah, everyone has their own opinion, but acting like they have the right to decide who should join the NT or play as a starter is truly ridiculous.
Tumblr media
Paredes was one of the ‘undisputed starters’ on Scaloni’s squad but quickly lost his place after the loss against Saudi Arabia. He accepted his role as a substitute player and helped his teammates from the bench. “ I didn’t arrive in the best physical way and I was aware by not being 100% gonna cost me a lot. The group was above everything and luckily the great teammates (Enzo & Mac Allister) appeared as they played enormously well. I was surprised and very proud of them. ”
Tumblr media
Dybala interview with Marca: I needed some time after my injury and I was not yet in the best condition. I wanted to support, be positive with the best energies, and never put an angry or frustrated face for not being played. I made the team feel like they could count on me. And so it was, I felt better and Scaloni trusted me in one of the most important moments.
Tumblr media
Lautaro interview with espnargentina: I have discomfort with my swollen ankle and I had to play with painkillers. It’s not the World Cup that I expected (because the injury made him underperform), but Juli’s arrival made me very happy. He’d give the team what I couldn’t give.
I’ve seen many people questioning why then Scaloni didn’t choose a 100% fit player if he knew Dybala, Lautaro and Paredes weren’t 100% fit. The audacity for these people to think like that, because despite their injuries, during the crucial moments, all the 3 of them stepped up and executed their roles perfectly.
What's next?
Scaloni's interview on March 21st: I thanked the players again for winning the title, now it’s time to celebrate but this goes on. And it’s going to cost us more than ever because they are going to want to beat us much more. We need a lot more energy from everyone because everything will be more difficult.
In regards to the national team:
“A new process begins. Those who are world champions don’t have an advantage. The most important thing is that the players don't feel like the owners of the National Team and that the coach is always watching. There are also kids who are going to grow and play at a high level and fight for a place (in the NT)."
Say, we, supporters, love this team. We'd love to see Messi to win more trophies alongside these Muchachos. The closest is that we aim for a Copa America back-to-back champion. This time it will be 10x more difficult because other countries will proly want to beat Argentina just out of spite, just for them to be able to say "WE BEAT THE WORLD CHAMPION, WHERE IS MESSI? WE POCKET HIM, etc etc", like Scaloni said, this squad needs a lot more energy from everyone, and imo that includes US, the supporters.
Why? As I said earlier, fans' toxic culture could destroy this team from outside. What supporters don't easily grasp is the fact that Scaloni can easily kick any players out once they don't perform well and there's better replacement. This fact, the players are fully aware as they said in numerous interviews "In this squad, there's only 1 player who's irreplaceable. Other than Messi, we always have to fight for 1 spot". Specifically, De Paul said this, "I'll do anything to be able to wear this jersey, but if one day I don't play, it's because there are others who play better than me.",
Well, I think it's safe for us (supporters) to love all players equally and love them based on their performance on the pitch. That way if Scaloni decides to drop them from the future squad list we won't be so upset or displeased with that decision because we know that it's because there are other players who (according to Scaloni's better judgment) play better than our faves. If the players can accept the consequences with big hearts (like Lau, Dybala, and Paredes) then supporters need to learn to be respectful toward Scaloni and just pray for the best.

LaLiga fixtures
Tumblr media
LaLiga's fixtures for the 2023-24 season (stream all games live on ESPN+) were released on Thursday and the new campaign is already bubbling with promise after some busy transfer market activity.
As Real Madrid look to reclaim the title from rivals Barcelona, they have spent €103 million to sign England midfielder Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund and might not be done yet, with a possible €120m-plus move for either Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe or Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane after star striker Karim Benzema left for Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile financially stricken Barca, who won the league for the first time since 2019 last season, are closing in on the free transfer signing of Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan as they attempt to build on that success while balancing their books.
Atletico Madrid, who were perhaps the best team in Spain in the second half of the campaign, led by the impressive Antoine Griezmann, will be hoping to break up the Barca-Madrid duopoly, as they have managed to do twice under Diego Simeone in the past decade.
Elsewhere, Real Sociedad, Sevilla, Villarreal, Real Betis and Athletic Club are among the teams who will start the season with hopes of finishing in the top four. At the other end of the spectrum, Granada, Las Palmas and Alaves have all returned to the top flight after brief spells in the second division.
With the fixtures now published and managers, players and supporters able to plot their path to glory -- or otherwise -- here are the talking points.
The new LaLiga season gets underway on Aug. 12, with Barca and Madrid both starting on the road. Barca face a difficult trip to Jose Bordalas' Getafe, where they have often struggled in the past, and coach Xavi Hernandez moaned about the length of the grass after drawing there last season.
Madrid also have a tough start, away at Athletic, while Atletico face newly promoted Granada at home. Sevilla vs. Valencia and Villarreal vs. Real Betis are both fixtures to keep an eye on in the opening weekend of the campaign, too.

Barca step slightly into the unknown this season as they move away from Spotify Camp Nou while renovation work is carried out on the stadium. In the meantime, for around 15 months, they will play at the Olympic Stadium in the Montjuic area of the city, which sees their stadium capacity slashed from 100,000 to 50,000. Xavi has said it will be difficult to get used to but is hopeful it won't affect the rebuild he is carrying out at the club.
First up in Montjuic will be Cadiz in the second week of the season (Aug. 20), but Barca face three of their first four games away from home. After Cadiz, they have challenging matches at Villarreal (Aug. 27) and Osasuna (Sept. 3), two teams that finished in the top seven last season, in the run-up to the September international break.
That tough run is followed by three home games out of four, with Real Betis, Celta Vigo and Sevilla all due to play, before an awkward-looking October. At a time when Champions League fixtures are coming thick and fast, Barca face Athletic (Oct. 22), Madrid (Oct. 29) and Real Sociedad (Nov. 5) in the league.
Like Barca, Madrid also start with run of away games as work continues on the redevelopment of the Santiago Bernabeu. After facing Athletic, they travel to Almeria (Aug. 20) and Celta (Aug. 27). However, unlike Barca, they will be back in their home stadium by September when they host Getafe (Sept. 3) in a Madrid derby.
If Madrid can get a positive result at Athletic's San Mames on the opening weekend, they should be in good shape come the first international break with those fixtures. Tougher tests await them after, though, with Real Sociedad and Atletico to come in back-to-back games in mid-September and consecutive away ties against Sevilla and Barca at the end of October.
Atletico's form in the second half of last season allowed them to make significant ground on Madrid in the table, although they eventually came up just short in their pursuit of their city rivals, finishing one point behind them in third -- with Barca 10 ahead of Madrid in the end. However, with 53 points from 24 games post-World Cup they had more than anyone else in LaLiga (Barca had 51), so Simeone will be hopeful of getting involved in next year's title race.
A home game against Granada is the perfect start to the campaign, although away matches against Real Betis and Rayo Vallecano follow. It's then Sevilla at home and Valencia away before the derby against Madrid. By that point, we should have a good idea about what sort of shape Simeone's side will be in.
Real Sociedad took fourth place last season and will have to manage Champions League football with domestic games this time around, but they could not have asked for a better start. Girona, Celta Vigo, Las Palmas and Granada are four winnable fixtures and there is no reason why they can't go into their game at Madrid (Sept. 17) with 10 or even 12 points. They have often started seasons very strongly under Imanol Alguacil.
Sevilla will be hoping they can continue their revival under Jose Luis Mendilibar, too. He took them from relegation candidates to Europa League winners -- and a spot in next season's Champions League as a result -- but expectations will be raised now. A trip to Atletico aside, they will be happy with their opening five games, which also include Valencia, Alaves, Girona and Las Palmas.
Villarreal, Betis and Athletic will be among the other clubs looking to finish in the top four. Athletic could take advantage of not having to compete in Europe on Thursdays, with Villarreal and Betis both in the Europa League.

Sevilla vs. Red Bull Salzburg
Live Streaming 13-September-2021
Sevilla dan Red Bull Salzburg memulai kampanye Liga Champions mereka pada Selasa malam di Grup G di Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Pasukan Julen Lopetegui membukukan tempat mereka di babak penyisihan grup setelah mengklaim tempat keempat di La Liga musim 2020-21, sedangkan Salzburg harus maju melewati Brondby di babak kualifikasi.
Pratinjau pertandingan
Kemungkinan susunan pemain Sevilla:
Bono; Navas, Kounde, Carlos, Acuna; Yordania, Rakitic, Fernando; Suso, En-Nesyri, Ocampos
Kemungkinan susunan pemain Red Bull Salzburg:
Kohn; Kristensen, Solet, Wober, Ulmer; Seiwald, Camara, Capaldo; Suci; Sesko, Adeyemi

What is it like living in Spain as a lesbian and feminist? Do you have any advice for someone considering immigrating?
I don’t think living here as a lesbian and feminist is that different from how it is in other western countries tbh. Acceptance, in theory, is pretty widespread but there’s also homophobes (of all kinds) just like everywhere else. In theory, most people don’t care and if they see you on the street with another woman the risk of harassment and stuff it’s pretty low, but you never know when you might find some assholes that’ll do just that. We do have hate crimes like everywhere else, but there’s laws in place against discrimination.
As for feminism, the only major difference I’d say is that I believe being somewhat critical of porn/prostitution is more normal here inside feminist circles? There’s many orgs here dedicated just to that. But the same fights exist here libfems vs radfems, conservatives vs feminists, separatists vs non-separatists, political lesbians vs non-political lesbians etc (our Minister for Equalities is very libfem for example, but other women within the government & party have positions that are more on the gender abolitionism/prostitution abolitionism side). People who have no idea about anything too lol. It depends on where you live/who you interact with though our media rn tries to be very liberal. I went to the Women’s March in my city and there were different groups (even *gasp* people chanting slogand referencing vulvas and uteruses???? to the PYRE with them!) and we had no trouble. In other Marches there were fights between prostitution abolitionists and pro-prostitution people (the bigger the cities, the higher the chances of dumbasses showing up).
But again, nothing that’s that different to how it is in the rest of Western Europe.
For more general advice, depending on what your country of origin is, rent may be cheaper or higher than there. Here in Spain, rent in Madrid and Barcelona is super high T.T but in Valencia (third biggest city) it’s really so much cheaper in comparison that people almost don’t believe me when I tell them. So if you want to live in a city, I’d recommend either Valencia, Seville, Granada, Bilbo... anywhere except Madrid & Barcelona unless you really really need/want to go there (the northern coast of Spain is especially beautiful and doesn’t get enough credit).
Also, if you don’t know Spanish, while you might be able to get by just with English in a big city, our collective knowledge of English is lesser than Germany, France, Belgium or the Scandinavian countries, so knowing basic Spanish is important. Oh and there’s several regions of Spain that have a second official language other than Spanish (Galiza, Basque Country, Catalonia, Valencia and the Balear Islands) so while there you can get by in Spanish and in some places in English, just know that many people especially in the smaller towns while they know Spanish they/we will speak their/our regional languages.
If you have any other questions then feel free to send them my way or dm me too if you’d like! :D

Not the way that it should be • Frenkie De Jong
Tumblr media
Being Lionel Messi's sister has its perks. I mean who wouldn't want to be related to one of the best if not the best footballer in the world. Mainly because before Leo became a footballer he and his family grew up in a life full of poverty in Argentina but as soon as he became a famous football player he changed that for his family letting them live in a nice house and could properly feed the whole family till they were full.
Y/N lives in Barcelona not far from her brother. She and Leo have a really good relationship with each other. She had always looked up to him especially when he moved to Barcelona. She was young but knew that it was a brave thing to do and she only wished that she was a brave as he was. Living in Barcelona meant that she was closer to Leo and he could make sure that she was safe. He was protective of her. In every aspect. She has her own job which isn't connected to Leo just because the job she does is literally her dream job. It also helped her gain a lot of confidence also Barcelona helped her gain a lot of friendships. A lot of them were with Leo's teammates and she even got into a relationship with one of them.
Being in a relationship with Frenkie was really hard especially with being Lionel Messi's little sister. He was really protective over her not wanting Y/N to date anyone especially not one of his teammates. It's always been Leo's rule every time that he brings Y/N to training none of the guys can flirt with her and she can never end up dating any of them. She was fine following all of his rules about no dating of teammates well that was until the start of the season in 2019 when she laid eyes on one of his teammates. Frenkie De Jong. Y/N and Frenkie easily got along and a couple of weeks after they first met they became girlfriend and boyfriend but secretly. No one but Y/N's best friend and Frenkie's best friend knew about the two of them dating and the two of them liked it like that. Less chance of Leo actually finding out. Y/N was sacred of what Leo's reaction would be. Herself and Frenkie would always hang out at each other's houses never out and about around Barcelona scared of the pictures that would be taken of the both of them and she wanted to be careful. They would be seen together if they were also hanging with other people but would make sure that they didn't spend a lot of time together. Leo was already suspicious because of the amount of time that Y/N seemed to be busy now but wouldn't tell Leo what she was doing and Leo didn't know of any boyfriends.
“Who are you with constantly?” Leo would ask and Y/N would shrug her shoulders and just say, friends. Leo knew it wasn’t ‘just friends’ and he started to grow concerned knowing that Y/N was never this secretive.
Barcelona vs Valencia at Camp Nou was when that excused changed and everyone knew why Y/N was being so secretive. It wasn't exactly a tough match but the last time they played Barcelona was stunned and Valencia won. It was the Copa Del Rey final though and this is la Liga so hopefully, it will end a different way. Y/N has the home Barcelona top on with 'MESSI 10' on it. She wanted to have Frenkie's on but obviously couldn't. She was sat in the front row with a couple of the other guys' family members including her sister-in-law and nephews enjoying the sunshine and the game which the guys were warming up for. Y/N was holding Matteo on her lap whilst pointing out her brother and other players to Ciro, who was sat on Antonella's lap, whilst Matteo was annoying his brother by saying Valencia will win. (I know Leo was injured during this actual game in September 2019 but just pretend he was playing) Ciro was getting excited and Y/N let her attention drift to Frenkie who was warming up. He looked good Y/N thought not even meaning to but zoning out until Matteo asked her a question where she shook her head and focused on him instead. Well focused on him until the game started.
"The game is starting," Matteo said to Ciro and pointed to the pitch finally not annoying Thiago. Y/N lifted her eyes away from the kids and they went onto the pitch. They first found Leo but quickly moved away from him and straight onto Frenkie. She had to try to keep the smile off of her face well a bright smile at least. He looked so good just standing there on the pitch. Y/N kept her eyes on Frenkie even when Fati scored in the 2nd minute. She loved just watching Frenkie play it was so entertaining. The way he was with the ball amazed her. She knew that she grew up watching Leo play but it was sometimes refreshing to watch other people play when they were just comfortable with the ball at there feet. Only being at Barcelona for a short while he already looked comfortable in the team and he knew he had big boots to fill considering who was the midfielders previously but Y/N thought he was doing a good job. Well, she may be a little biased but who cares. She was just watching Frenkie and luckily nobody happened to notice or say something. In the 7th minute was when everything changed. For the better or for the worst Y/N didn't know yet but she would find out most likely as soon as the game finishes and they still have 83 minutes of normal time plus added time and the 15 minutes of half time. Anyway, in the 7th minute, Frenkie scored his first-ever goal for Barcelona in Camp Nou in front of his fans, teammates, family and girlfriend. Frenkie knew that he should've waited until no one was around but the adrenaline from scoring the goal took over and he sprinted to where Y/N was sat and kissed her. Full-on kissed her. It wasn't just a little peck but an actual full-on kiss. Y/N immediately kissed back completely forgetting who was around them and where they were. They only kissed for a couple of seconds until they remember where they were. He pulled back and they were both blushing and Frenkie quickly ran back onto the pitch ignoring all of the stares he was getting and the major glare from Leo. Y/N just stood there staring at the pitch not being able to look at anyone around her but she knew that they were all gaping at her trying to wrap there heads around what just happened. Y/N looked at the clock and just thought 83 more minutes of football.
The rest of the first half was near enough silent from Y/N's half not really paying attention to anything, not even the game. She was in too much shock at the moment terrified of everyone else's reaction to the kiss and especially Leo's. She wishes that she and Frenkie could've told everyone instead of him coming up to kiss her. She wasn't going to blame him though she knew what the adrenaline was like when you score a goal especially your first ever one for a club. She had seen enough of them to know. She managed to take a glance at Leo's face and to people who didn't know him he looked calm but if you knew him you knew he wasn't. You would know he was fuming and everybody could probably guess at what. She also managed to take a glance at Frenkie who was still playing normally but his face showed a little bit of fear and nervousness probably from what he had done. The rest of the half went past in a blur with only Valencia scoring a goal. Y/N didn't even notice when the people around her began to move around she was too far in her own head.
"What was that kiss about?" Antonella asked during half time which knocked Y/N out of her own thoughts. The rest of the family members were going to the toilet and apparently they took Thiago, Matteo and Ciro with them so it was just Y/N and Antonella sat there far enough away so that nobody else would hear the conversation. Obviously, Antonella could piece what the kiss was about but she wanted to hear it from Y/N. Y/N always trusted Antonella with everything especially when she felt like she couldn't tell Leo something but she couldn't tell her about this.
"We've been dating." Y/N said quietly just staring out onto the pitch. It was near enough empty since it was half time but some of the substitutes were playing so Y/N just watched them hoping it would make it easier to talk about it. It wasn't. Usually, she prepares what she's going to say in advance but she didn't this time not expecting it to come out. Well, she knew that it would come out eventually but she hadn’t planned for it.
"For how long?" Antonella asked.
"A month, just over." Y/N whispered playing with her hands. Antonella just stared at her in shock not knowing how she kept it that much of a secret for that long knowing how bad she was at keeping secrets.
"I really like him." Y/N continued since nothing else had been said and she didn’t like the silence. Especially awkward silence like this one. Antonella didn’t have any time to answer considering everyone else came back since the second half was going to begin shortly. How long did that conversation take? It only seemed like a short one. Apparently not. Y/N got lost in her own thoughts again until the whistle started off the second half. She looked at Leo’s face and he didn’t look happy and then she turned to Frenkie. Frenkie looked pale so something must have gone down in the changing room during half time. Y/N swallowed down the lump in her throat and watched the game progress to Barcelona winning 5-2. In a way, Y/N didn’t want the game to end knowing that it means she would have to go and speak to Leo and she was absolutely dreading it.
“I better go down to the changing room.” Y/N mumbled to Antonella. She just nodded her head at Y/N obviously thinking it would be a good idea for her to go down. Reluctantly Y/N walked down the stairs and the guards gladly let her past into the changing rooms obviously knowing who she was.
"I can't believe you. Dating my sister." Was the first thing Y/N heard as she pushed open the door to the locker room. She knew that it was Leo shouting at Frenkie and for a minute Y/N just stood by the door debating whether or not to actually go into the changing room but she knew she had to. She would have to face Leo at some point so why not now. Well later may be a better option when she's ready for it and everything. But she couldn’t let Frenkie deal with this himself so she continued to push the door open and stepped him hoping all of the guys were somewhat decent. As soon as she stepped in all eyes turned off of Leo and Frenkie and straight to Y/N who was nervously stood in the door. Frenkie was still tense and pale in the face. Y/N wanted to go over and save Frenkie from Leo shouting and all of the other boys just being their protective selves but she was frozen in the doorway and Leo had started speaking once again.
"I told you and I told you but neither of you listened to me ..." Leo ranted. You knew that he needed to get all of this off of his chest before you said anything because if you cut him off everything would be so much worse then it already is. Slowly you walked over to Frenkie and sat next to him. She wasn’t even listening to the words that Leo was saying just concentrating on Frenkie next to her and what she was going to say to Leo once he was quiet. It felt like Leo talked for hours, in reality, it wasn’t long and as soon as he stopped talking there was a lot of awkward silence.
“I’m sorry.” Y/N said once Leo had actually gone quite. All of the guys were staring at the three of you. They hadn’t even got in the shower just sat in the changing room wanting to see how everything goes down. Even they were shocked with what Frenkie had done when he scored his first goal.
“I’m sorry we didn’t tell you but I knew that this is how you would react.” Y/N continued when Leo didn’t say anything. She didn’t know what else to say so at the end of the sentence her voice started to trail off.
“I promise I’ll look after her and not do anything to hurt her,” Frenkie said. It was the first thing that he had said about the matter and it made Y/N smile. Leo sighed and opened his mouth to speak again already knowing that there was no way these two would be splitting up.
"I swear to god if you hurt her there will be no more playing football at Barcelona for you if your lucky you may be able to play football at all," Leo said to Frenkie which some of the other senior members agreed to since they were also like her brothers. Y/N rolled her eyes whilst Frenkie nodded his head eyes wide with fear yet. He hadn't quite got the gist of some of the guys yet so he was scared of them. Especially in situations like this. Y/N, on the other hand, knew them too well to know that they would actually never do that to Frenkie. Well, she doesn't think they will at least.
"Shut up." Y/N whined to the guys who just smirked and walked off away from her and Frenkie. Y/N grabbed Frenkie's hand and pulled him out of the locker room so that they were alone. Slightly. At least they were away from the guys and Frenkie could stop pooing himself over what was going to be said. As soon as they stepped outside of the locker room Frenkie seemed to relax knowing that the guys couldn’t say anything to him now. It was just him and Y/N together. She somehow managed to make him calm as well.
"I love you," Frenkie said pushing her hair back so he could see her face fully. His other hand was on her cheek caressing it. Just staring deep into her eyes trying to figure out everything. Y/N was just smiling back at him.
"I love you too and congratulations on your first ever goal." Y/N said. Frenkie leaned in a kissed her. Longer this time since no-one else was around. Y/N could still hear Leo complaining and even though he said that it was okay for her and Frenkie to date she knew he would still be annoyed at her. It would soon blow over and it would all be fine.
