"Freya then wandered the world, searching for areas where the Well of Eternity’s energies had coalesced. These regions created optimal conditions for the development of new flora and fauna. Freya shaped immense enclaves of nature at these places of power. She molded life of astounding diversity, seeding it around the world. The sites where Freya had done her work were located at the polar extremes of the world. They included regions that would later become known as Un’Goro Crater, Sholazar Basin, and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms."

╭ ㅤ⿻ ・ HOLY IS THE LOVE THAT SAVED ME ( part iii. )
HOW DELICATE LOVE IS , THIS EBB & FLOW OF SERENITY.
-ˋ ♡ ◞ ayato ・ lumine ・ dainsleif. genshin impact. title cr : juniper vale. repost. ଓ.°・・・part i. part ii.
❀ ゚. ༄ ayato
peaceful are the days you spend with ayato, the breeze gentle in its nature as you sit in the garden. the flowers bloom with an everlasting, petals dancing in the wind in celebration of the new season. the sun is gentle on your figures, its warmth welcomed in the way it lulls you both to sleep.
his head rests in your lap, eyes closed as he indulges in the comfort of your presence. the day has yet to begin and soon enough, time will pass all too quickly and he will be buried in an infinite amount of tasks, and how terrible the thought is: to be apart from the person he loves so dearly.
inhale. exhale. how kind solace is to find its way in brevity, and how wonderful it is, the love that bloomed when you believed there was none to be found. the origins of your marriage were solely for convenience; you remember the hatred that burned in your veins when you learned of it. you think about it often, back then and now-- how gentle and patient ayato was. always kind, always waiting. always wanting to make it work, always wishing to fall in love with the person he knew he would spend the rest of his life with.
"do you remember?"
he hums in quiet thought, an all too knowing smile gracing the curve of his lips at your question. ayato's heart knows no bounds, cherishing each and every moment spent with you as if it could be the last. of course he remembers. he always will, whether near or far, even when you are both old and gray.
a petal lands gently on his cheek, forces his eyes open. your gazes meet when you look down at him, visage made of love and utmost gentleness. ayato almost thinks he falls for you all over again when your fingertips brush against his skin, picking the cherry blossoms away.
"of course. today marks our fifth year of marriage." his smile grows. "thoma remembered for me, naturally."
"he did not, you liar." ayato's laughter rings out in the garden you deem your home away from home. "i'm going to shove that flower in your mouth."
"i will gladly accept any gift from my beloved."
you sigh in exasperation, but the way your fingers run through blue locks is filled with tenderness. ayato's expression softens, and the amusement fades into ardor. he is fortunate, truly, to have found you, to learn about you, and to love you, and not one day goes by where he doesn't show you how significant you are.
"happy anniversary." he tells you; he reaches up, fingers cupping your cheek, and the words grace themselves with reverence. "i hope to spend a lifetime more with you."
you grin, lean down to press your lips against his in promise.
"happy anniversary, ayato."
❀ ゚. ༄ lumine
in days gone by there is a paradise lost ; a foggy mist that fails to clear in the depths of a mind. eternal slumber clings to a destined one, carves itself into her being, consumes memories unfound & wanted. desperation gnaws at her soul, sinks its teeth into the heart of it and tears and tears and tears until it is almost empty with an unbelonging.
in lumine's nightmares, there is catastrophe and loss. she knows them to be real, knows the hurt that weaves itself into horridness is something she has felt before. but everything eventually turns into nothing, and the memories remain fragmented : jagged with sharp edges, difficult to restore.
in her dreams, there is you. there has always been you, she realizes : you are her comfort, her love, and it is a beautiful thing to know there is such adoration & hope that exists in a world she should not be in.
"what did you dream of tonight?"
your voice pierces the night air ; lumine reaches for you instinctively in haste of your wake, fingers delicately tracing circles into your skin. there's reluctance in your tone, and she smiles faintly at your consideration. you know of the dreamscapes she encounters -- whether heaven or hell, neither of you know which she will seek in slumber until the sun rises or until her terror is heard in the midst of the darkness.
"you." she answers like it's second nature, her tone light and playful as she pokes your forehead before pressing a kiss against it. "i dreamt of you. i miss you even when i'm asleep."
your eyes meet golden hues: brilliant and radiant like the sun, but even then, the light fades slightly, slowly, and you know it. you know it.
( and she does this, you know. lies and acts like her suffering doesn't exist. in her dreams, she sees aether. she runs and runs until her lungs burn, until she can taste blood on her tongue, until she can almost reach him, and she's so close -- until she's not, and then he's gone, forgotten. )
"you should dream of something else." you grin when she kisses your nose. "i'm always going to be here when you wake."
she smiles again, but this time, there's a defeat that lingers on the curves of her lips.
oh, and how she wishes she could say the same, tell you that she'll stay by your side until the days are long over. but she doesn't belong, not here. but right now, she'll stay at your side. right now, she'll take all her love and give it to you wholeheartedly and hope you will carry it. she'll stay at your side, she tells you, her lips against yours, and silently hope that it will be long before it's time to move on.
❀ ゚. ༄ dainsleif
in fate there is a madness in the knowing ; the prophet's mind is riddled with events of the past, present, and future, and such memories of a lifetime blur into a haze of distorted pictures. heavy is such a burden on the body and soul, and too often is it that dainsleif's mind wanders too far, unable to seek reprieve.
few are the people that dainsleif keeps in his life, but many are those he cherishes and misses dearly. it is a painful thing, experiencing loss time after time and knowing that there is nothing that can be done about it. knowing that time is the passage of all, the end of all, and that it flows no matter what happens. the pain does not stop, does not fade, and sometimes he wishes it did. but it doesn't and it shouldn't, not ever, because it will always be worth it.
but he tires of it. he despises it. fate has always been a cruel being, and he succumbs to it too easily, admits defeat too easily.
he wants things to be different with you. the pain will be greater if he loses you too, he thinks, and that frightens him : to love someone to such a degree and know that eventually, it will all turn into a memory / to know and acknowledge that there will be no forever in sight for you both.
"you know something i don't." you whisper, your body against his as he holds you in his arms.
you wonder if the words fall upon deaf ears; part of you hopes it does. because you know there is something more to dainsleif-- something you can't comprehend, something you shouldn't comprehend, but you love him all the same, even if you know that this road may lead to something other than a happy ending.
his hold on you tightens and he buries his face in the crook of your neck. you imagine his expression would be unreadable, protected in its delicate facade, but instead, when he pulls away, there is a lingering dread that lies beneath the surface. his hand reaches for yours, his lips grazing against your knuckles.
perhaps he can change this, take fate and twist it into a different being. he knows he shouldn't have fallen in love. he shouldn't have, but he did, he did, and even when he tried to distance himself, he couldn't. he will suffer at his own hands -- but you should not suffer because of him.
a battle against fate unchanged will be the most difficult he has encountered-- this, he knows. but for you, it will be worth it, he reminds himself, falling deeply into a reverie when you kiss him with yearning.
"in time, love." he murmurs against your touch, "it will be worth it."

How, in the morning brightness, //You all around shine at me, // Springtime, Beloved! // With thousandfold love-bliss // The holy feeling // Of your eternal warmth // Presses itself upon my heart, // Unending beauty!
Ah, upon your breast // I lie, languish, // And your blossoms, your grass // press upon my heart. // You cool the burning //Thirst of my bosom, // Lovely morning-wind! // There calls the nightingale // Lovingly for me from the misty vale. // I come, I come! // Whither, ah whither?

There really was no need for Marcia to do her old skincare routine anymore. She didn't get pimples anymore and the anti-aging cream she used to covert was rendered useless with her immortality.
But she did it still.
She followed the steps, opening bottles and jars while listening to Valentina fight with the bedsheets. She had to suppress a laugh listening to her lover curse at their bed, leg stuck inside the fitted sheet. Valentina was singing a song in Italian, one Marcia immediately recognised as an old love song. She hummed along, listening to Vale replace words with curses periodically.
God she had this life for eternity now.
There was still something else in her eyes, a sadness that wasn't hers. Her smile was still sharp, but she was choosing the sharpness now. Two men died but she now had forever with Valentina. The guilt ate at her in the beginning but now all she could think about was the future. The future she had with her Vale. She applied the last of her creams, walking out the bathroom to Valentina already in bed, watching her with adoration in her eyes. Marcia climbed into bed, turning the light off right before she did. She rested her head on Valentina chest, listening to her heart thump.
Da-dum da-dum da-dum.
She didn't know what she was anymore, but Marcia knew one thing, Valentina was there. She was unyielding and she was so very warm. Marcia could feel herself warming, ever so slightly. As if just being near Valentina could bring back her humanity.
She looked up at her lover who pulled her in closer, kissing her with a smile. The two stayed close, giggling to themselves in between kisses. She tugged at Valentina's shirt, stripping it off her while taking her own off. They spent what felt like forever pulling each other impossibility closer, moaning into each others mouth with each roll of their hips. They pulled apart, half asleep and so very in love.
"Don't forget to fix the fence." Marcia reminded Valentina while brushing the hair out of her face. Vale groaned, throwing her head back with mock anger. "I was going to eat you out but you want to talk about the stupid fence?" Marcia roller her eyes as Valentina pulled her down to lie down, the covers pulled over their heads. She buried her nose in Marcia's hair. "I'll fix it tomorrow morning. I love you amore mio." she mumbled into her neck. Marcia hummed contently, I love you." She said, closing her eyes to fall asleep, a strange heaviness in her chest blossoming.
No fences were fixed in the morning. No coffee was shared over a breakfast spread. There was no washing of dishes or any loud singing in the living room. There was no more living in the house. The two women, with forever in their future entered the eternal slumber intertwined under a blanket of their love.

Artistry of the EW / DT final zone music commentary, and Buddhist concepts.
I mentioned how Living Memory was like the Vale of Eternal Blossoms in WoW MoP in a sense, but better executed. In WoW, the Vale was destroyed and could never return to its former beauty- even in the recent Remix. This always felt heavily inspired by Buddhist philosophy. Sand mandalas, for example, are made over a series of days, meticulously crafted and gorgeously detailed. They are then ceremonially "dismantled" (destroyed). Another one is made the following year, and the process repeats. It's never the same again, the destroyed mandala is gone forever. In Living Memory, I'm in awe of the artistry in created these incredibly detailed and gorgeous zones, which, in a tale of accepting death and how fleeting life is, each of these four areas are destroyed completely- even prompting you to say you will not be able to return them to their previous state. They then turn into these decayed-looking, black husks of what they formerly were. People in shout chat talk about wishing they could get it back. That's it, that's the artistic symbolism of it all. But what's more is the music. In Endwalker, you had this faded out instrumental of the Ultima Thule theme. It was a bunch of dead worldsm and as you traveled between them, you'd get more of the full final track until the very end with the vocals, when the story turns to one of hope, and giving life and meaning to everything. In Dawntrail, once you "shut down" Living Memory, the opposite happens. You get a slower, faded out version of the zone music, like it's distant and dying. It's the opposite of how Ultima Thule's music worked. Idk I see a lot of mixed reviews about this expansion, but I love it because I feel like it's a work of art, on par with ShB and better than EW in that sense.

A Stupid Guide To Unlocking Zones On Alts
For stupid people like me, who like to be a weird little completionist
Note: This is for !!ALTS!! and assuming you've already done all this content on at least one character. WoWhead has decent guides on how to unlock zones for the first time, but not much on how to do so on alts and skip as much work as possible
Classic: There are no zones that require unlocks from Classic. There are some that get reused in new phases, but those will be stated in the expansion their new phase got added
TBC: Isle of Quel'danas has the Sunwell raid and Magister's Terrace dungeon. Should be by default unlocked on all characters, you get there via a portal in the middle Shattrath building
WOTLK: There are no zones that require unlocks from WOTLK
Cata: Molten Front has to be manually unlocked on any character you want to do it on, but it's mostly achievements, so I personally don't see the need to do it on alts. You access it via a questline in Hyjal, and a portal to get to the zone is in the southwestern part of Hyjal, near Malorne's shrine. All other Cata zones should be default unlocked on all characters
MOP: Isle of Giants and Timeless Isle both should be unlocked by default on all characters. You can just take a flightpath to both places or fly there manually. Isle of Thunder, however, requires a short questline to get onto the island. This should start at the portal to get there in Townlong, by the Shado-pan Garrison
WOD: Your garrison requires a short questline to set up and a bit of time to build it into anything worthwhile. If you use the hearthstone, it'll teleport you to the empty plot of land where your garrison would be. Just go towards where your dock is eventually built, and start the questline. Tanaan should be by default unlocked on all characters, though I haven't checked if you still need to do the questline to build the base in order to use the portal back and forth from Ashran (I usually just fly around Draenor and hit Tanaan that way)
Legion: When you first use the Dalaran hearthstone, you need to walk a few steps into the city until you get an NPC pop up with your class questline. I've forgotten if you go to your class hall first, then do your weapon, or if it's weapon then class hall. Either way, you need to do the first weapon in order to unlock the rest of the setting up of your class hall. Unlock your WQs at Khadgar in the tower, Suramar phases in once you save Thalyssra (also from Khadgar). Argus teleporter should be unlocked by default on all characters, though the Broken Shore you might need to just talk with Khadgar at Krasus' Landing and skip the instance in order to set up the camp there
BFA: Ugh. Now the messy expansions with not enough skips and way too many unlocks. Make sure you get your Heart of Azeroth from Magni. Nazjatar should be a relatively quick questline from the docks area. Mechagon will appear from disgruntled workers in the main city. Unlocking your WQs should be from I think the docks as well - if not, you need to set up at least one camp in the enemy zones to unlock the mission table and upgrades. I had to go to the zone select map, click one, and then not continue it in order to do anything with the ship. You should probably do the questline for Vale of Eternal Blossoms and Uldum since it gives you the legendary cloak you need in order to do the last boss of Ny'alotha. Unfortunately this is a LONG questline, like at least a few hours worth. There's not really any skips for this which I think is just the worst. I tend to stop once I just get the cloak, but you can keep going in order to unlock the visions. Almost forgot battlefront zones (Darkshore and Arathi) which should be unlocked by default on all characters. I just stepped into the portal and didn't need to do anything else
SL: Oh boy! More content with not enough skips! To unlock your covenant, you have to just choose it in Oribos and do the whole. dang. campaign. All of it. You can skip your renown grind with the vendor next to the Oribos flightmaster, but that's really the only thing somewhat useful. Otherwise you're just funneling anima to whoever's next on the list to do stuff with it and unlocking things little by little while earning the tmog. The Maw you get sent to during your covenant campaign, very early on, but the covenant invasions to the zone seem tied to Korthia's unlock. If you hate Torghast, there's no skips for the tutorials there and it's part of the covenant campaign. You may be alarmed at the Eye of the Jailer and no mounts! These things unlock with Korthia. Korthia seems to unlock via the campaign, too, after the Torghast, Maw, Runecarving tutorials. You still have to do the questline to get the lodestaff and the guy to come to the cave if you want to earn rep there, though. This should start with just looting any treasure or rare. Zereth Mortis unlocks with a skip on dialogue with Bolvar pretty early in the campaign, like around the time you select a covenant
Dragonflight: Since DF is current, all of the unlocks are just via talking to and using dialogue skips in Valdrakken when you hit cap level. I just hop up to the Seat of the Aspects, talk to Alexstrasza, kill the rebels in the city but drop it after that point, skips for Forbidden Reach are also at the top of Seat of the Aspects, after that you can go down to Zaralek with Sabellian and Wrathion but drop it when Loamm is opened, talk to Shandris to get the Emerald Dream quest and use the item she gives you as a skip. You still have to do the part where you go through the portal in Ohn'ahran Plains and then talk on the other side, but can drop after that (The reason for that is that despite the Emerald Dream portal automatically by default open for alts, the weekly quest doesn't count them as allowed to finish until you've done that one step of the questline. It's dumb)
#personal#wow#world of warcraft#long post#reference for myself basically#did I miss anything?#I'm finally just going through old content with my Dracthyr so this is what came of it#reference#guide#PLEASE tell me if I missed any skips especially for BFA and SL I die

Feng Mi Summerstar
Race: Pandaren Class: Paladin Specialization: Retribution Pronouns: She/Her
Feng is a ginger and white furred mainland Pandaren with long yellow-streaked hair and golden eyes. Born to a silk farmer family in the Valley of the Four Winds, Feng Mi was chosen by Chi-Ji himself while she was very young to join the Golden Lotus and help protect the hidden Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Growing up, she became interested in the Titan magic that had helped to bloom the Vale in the first place, and swore herself to the brightness of the sun and the principles of order and goodness, though unofficially. Over time, serving as both a member of the Golden Lotus and a disciple of the Red Crane, Feng noticed that, as she swung her weapon, sparks would emit from her mace and paws, and decided to focus on this glint of magic. When the Alliance and Horde landed on Pandaria, Feng learned that this power was called "the Light" and that she had unintentionally found this entity and sworn herself to it, and now also helps to serve as a member of the Horde as well as Tyr's Guard.

Wrathion Journal Day 5
Apologies for the delay, oh, who am I apologizing too? Myself?
I have been hard at work crafting a cloak for my champion to use against N'Zoth, using the scales of Onyxia and other fellow brethren I found in Blackrock Descent. My champion is a Death Knight named Puriaa, who has the strangest sense of humor is very quick with a flirt. She...tries my patience, though I'm certain I've tried hers as well. Regardless, she does well against the machinations of N'Zoth.
He appears at random through the world, the Black Empire bleeding through the fabric of reality. He seems to be concetrating his efforts in Uldum and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. That beautiful vale has only just begun to heal after the chaos Garrosh wrought upon it so many years ago. It's horrific to see.
It helps her undead nature shields her from much of N'Zoths influence. We successfully infiltrated a vision wrapped around the Halls of Origination, undoing a plot to capture the device. it has given me and idea, but it will require some fine tuning.
I can't stop thinking about Kale. I took a walk today, and found my gaze lingering east, towards that filthy hovel he calls home. Why can't he stay closer? I could get him a tent easily. The man prefers to be alone. I felt...wonderful has he held me in his arms. Writing this down is embarrassing, but I fear I must, as it certainly helps me get my thoughts in order. He's enamored with my body, for sure. I crafted this visage to be attractive to mortals, male and female, but I was never aware of it going this far.
I found him in the sands. Shattered. Blood everywhere. Terror gripped me. I can't describe what I felt, only that I dragged his broken body to be healed once more. The man was irate; it took everything in me not to panic. He refused to tell me what had happened, only that he'd been attacked. He flew off, angry and blustered, and I chose not to follow. He can only mean N'Zoth attacked him, and I have to admit I don't see a fault in that logic. The Old God would have his revenge. I will leave him alone, for now. I have plenty to keep me occupied in the meantime.

Another CR vignette, this time of Vax’ildan
I promised @liamobrienlove / @critter--derolo a vignette, and she asked for one about Vax. I gave her my prompt list, and she chose three, and I liked all of them so much that I combined them into one.
“After the End” (With a nod to Arthur Symons)
He knows the night will never stay For dawn will always have its way; The sun will rise, the moons will set As they have always done, and yet, He wonders how long ‘til at last His lonely shade forgets his past And there is only here and now. He wonders if he'll forget how Her skin felt, once, beneath his hands. How long until time's cruel sands Cease to matter. When will he know Not loss, not pain, not aching woe Each time he thinks of her? He walks Beneath the shade of flowers, talks With snowdrops, asking if they've seen His love, in groves still evergreen As she is. There at his Queen's side, Beyond the veil he does abide But not at rest. It was his choice, And so he cannot, dares not voice A word of his regret. The hours Pass and die, as falling flowers Drop from cherry-blossomed boughs Where secretly they'd exchanged vows In Zephrah, in that hidden vale. A serenading nightingale The only witness to the pair; Their words, carried on the air Beyond death, beyond memory. And still, and still, he longs to see Her running into his embrace, To see again that lovely face That haunts his every thought. He weeps Inside, where within still there sleeps Eternal love, eternal grief. His tears fall with each falling leaf. His stilled heart bleeds; it screams, it yearns It cannot beat and still it burns Only for her, icy desire An inextinguishable fire That cannot warm him. Still, the flame That burns him when he thinks her name A welcome pain, serves to remind Him of the one he left behind.

When i was prescribed seroquel, they had two kinds. One was a prolonged effect pill, other one was a regular. The doctor prescribed me 300 mg. They run out of prolong and i had to take an extra pill in the morning.
So I was sitting there, 3 hours into being awake, playing WoW and doing old(Mists of Pandaria) raid for mounts.
It was Orgrimmar raid, 2nd boss, basically bunch of pandaren monks trapped in a loop where the Sha of Pride(in the WoW lore those are evil manifestations of pride, fear, and violence i think) tormented them with their failure of saving the vale of eternal blossoms from Garrosh(ork horde chief) dropping a big piece of sha into the well in the center of the pandaren palace.
And again, im sitting there, glass eyed, slack jawed, slouched, and i keep thinking in my head: "Holy shit, these brave warrior defenders of order of white lotus have been expiriencing the biggest defeat of their lives over and over, and i wiped 3 times already, fuck i feel so horrible for them".
Also it turns out i was prescribed the wrong medicine for about 5 years. GTA online sucks ass btw, fuck Rockstar, and fuck take 2 interactive
