VTM: Night Road DLC spoliers

Finally in my Setite playthrough I managed to do the extra mission and...

Freed the wraith

Lettow and Julian fight for a bit before my Setite gets them to knock it off and then have a little sleep over :3 (My Setite is in the middle of a love triangle, which sucks as she would have rather be in a polycube with Lettow and Julian, Hmm... maybe I have a new OTP3! >:3)

as you can see my Setite is social and intelligent character and can turn into a snake and hide from or kill her enemies! >:3

You need a good relationship with both the Camarilla and Julian to get into that love triangle with the boys lol!

Also I stuck with the Nissan Frontier for the whole cause I can and that Charm is my reward from the extra mission, very useful :D!

I had a hard time choosing between Lettow and Julian so I rolled for it and Julian won.

But at least I can give Lettow one last hug before he leaves ;_;

and due to me having a good rep with the Camarilla, they help me one last time...

and I killed Donati by using my Protean which was fun and drive into the night with Julian :3

It was fun playing as a Setite and being all charming and able to sneak and kill my foes with Protean and become a snake, and I’m glad I got to do the extra mission this time round, next time I’ll do the other path of the quest and of course have fun with the other clans and stories! :D

Sometimes I make myself sad by imagining an AU where the Courier wasn't Elisa and she didn't get to meet her Sire again, and then she hears rumours that Prince Lettow was destroyed by the SI...

My favourite part of this is that all of these are either canon or could be canon (also possible to have a romantic relationship between the Courier and Lettow, it’s just not ‘canon’ for Pyre’s run).

Spoilers for VTM: Night Road DLC (sorta)

So I’ve beaten my Hecata run and let’s just say...

Dove has been smooched and bitten ;) (Sorry Dove for having Luka, my Hecata, bite you lol!)

Awww, I really enjoyed romancing Dove in this playthrough! ^_^ and I did have some fun playing as a ruthless Hecata who would do anything to survive and I can’t wait to play the other clans. My only problem is that the extra mission didn’t unlock :((( which is something I’ve heard has been a problem other players have been having. Oh well, maybe I’ll have better luck next time.

Shi Hou was originally a soldier of the Communist Party of the People's Republic of China in the 80s. However, unbeknownst to Shi, his Grandfather Zedong Hou, was actually a vampire of the Ventrue clan and planning to give to embrace a childe of his own from a member of his mortal family. Shi's parents knew that Zedong was a vampire, and they didn't want him to embrace Shi's eldest brother, who had shown great leadership capabilities abilities.  So, in 1988, they instead set up a situation where Shi gets mortally injured to force Zedong to embrace him instead. Zedong saw through the scheme but was amused enough to embrace Shi as a bodyguard, Shi felt so betrayed when he found out and refused to talk with his parents unless pressured to by his Grandfather/Sire and he had no choice since he was fully blood bond to him. Over the next 13 years Shi was taught by Zedong about the ways of the Kindred both eastern and western (especially the western Ventrue) the Kuei-jin and espionage skills. Technically there is a Camarilla, but the Prince is just a ruler of the Kindred of the city/town and they answer to the heads of the Kuei-jin courts.

At first Zedong was the Ventrue go between for the Kuei-jin to greet Western Kindred visitors whenever they visited Mainland China, but soon he was sent off to America as an envoy for the Kuei-jin to broker deals with the Camarilla. Shi of course went with his sire and was soon tasked with rooting out useful information that could help put these deals in the Kuei-jin's favour. However, it turned out the information gathering was for Zedong to see if he wanted to change his loyalties to the Camarilla since the Kuei-jin wouldn't allow a Kindred to gain enough power to be of true importance. But things went wrong, the Kuei-jin found out that Zedong was going to backstab them and launched an attack on him while he was on his way to a meeting and was killed before Shi could even to defend him, freeing him from the blood bond.  However, blood bond or not, the Kuei-jin attackers still wanted him Shi dead and he was forced to flee and threw himself at the mercy of the Camarilla Prince, that Prince was LaCroix.

Shi felt very grateful to LaCroix and they had bonded a little due their history of shitty controlling sires that blood bonded them and being treated badly by the powerful in their respective sects for being who they are.  (LaCroix was in my headcanon sired by a Sabbat Ventrue so he isn't a 'pure' Ventrue and thus gets so much shit for it) Shi saw LaCroix at his best at the start of his reign of LA and his decline over the years but was in denial about it.  He was the one that helped LaCroix set up the meeting with Ming Xiao and hoped that the two sects could work together to really make something of the city.  The Anarchs had left a bad taste in his mouth, feeling as though they were unorganized idiots who needed good leadership and he sneers at Nines Rodriguez who's like 'we don't need a leader' since it's clear that lack of leadership was what got them into trouble with the Kuei-jin in the first place.  Also, he's suspects that Nines isn't a decent Kindred after all and sees him as someone who lures young Kindred with pretty talk to fuel his cult of personality. (Nines is a good boy in Gloria's verse btw and he just wants the Anarchs to not lose hope and for Dad!MacNeil to come home!) However once the Gloria is accidently embraced by LaCroix the sarcophagus enters the picture, Shi is forced to see his Prince's decline into madness but feels helpless. He tries to mentor Gloria away from the Anarchs (especially Nines' anarchs) but it isn't enough as she helps the Anarchs reclaim the city by giving LaCroix the key to the sarcophagus which allows him to be blown up by the bomb set up by Smiling Jack. In the end the Camarilla were forced to flee LA and Shi was sent to Tucson for his failure (thankfully no-one knew that he had helped LaCroix get in contact with the Kuei-jin otherwise he would've ended up meeting his final death)

Shi soon became bitter in his time Tucson, finally having the time to come to terms with the bullshit that his life had become, hating everyone, his parents, his grandfather/sire, LaCroix for risking it all on the sarcophagus, Gloria and the Anarchs for killing LaCroix and the Camarilla for not being what they should be. He also meet a Banu Harqim named Julian and they became lovers and was convinced in his lowest and most bitter moment to diablerize Aila, an act he deeply regrets.  He was heartbroken when Julian left Tucson soon after.  Again, Shi Hou is going to be a character that plays a role in the fic I do plan to do for Gloria's journey throughout the plot of VTMB.

What sort of methods do you think some of the Elders would have to resist the Beckoning? I know Helena broke the Beckoning's hold on her by going on a killing frenzy, but I wonder if there are other ways.

@rayshell22livejournalcom I know that some of the Elders have resorted to  diablerie or consuming potent Kindred vitae or breaking an old blood bond seems to be the methods being used at the moment to resist the Beckoning https://whitewolf.fandom.com/wiki/Beckoning_(VTM) that’s what we know as far the information White Wolf has given us (do correct me if there has been more info since then)

But I wonder if how strong Kindred’s personal sense of purpose also makes them more or less resistant to the Beckoning, I’m thinking of Lettow from VTM: Night Road of how out of place he feels in the modern world. And how Isaac Abrams from VTMB and LA by Night must feel so weary and tired of constantly fighting for the Freestates, I feel the Camarilla returning to LA is making the effects of the Beckoning even worst. If the Beckoning is drawing Elder and lower gen Kindred to fight in a war, then what better way than to target the old, the cynical and directionless?

So I finished my first playthrough of VTM: Night Road...

Lol Celeste has really turned into a AU version of my Anarch Ventrue from VTMB, Gloria, with how she starts out having feelings for Prince Lettow (Although to be fair Lettow is a much better guy than LaCroix was :D) but then falls for her old friend Julian, seen as an Anarch to most and is ready to fight for this new world with him. And also she uses a sword in combat! XD Though tbh Nines never goes as far as Julian does so...

I really enjoyed my time in my first playthrough and Julian’s side does bring up a ton of interesting of the future of the Masquerade and how it might be time to do away with it. 

But it’s all up in the air to see if Julian is right or wrong.

After I have a break, I’m eager to do a pro Camarilla playthrough next time and hopefully get to smooch Prince Lettow! 😉

Um, I guess as sick it sounds, I have to say that I was very disappointed that I could only diablerize Reremouse.😅My evil Gangrel diablerizing wanna be and Banu Haqim were super disappointed when they couldn’t eat anyone else, as they had failed to be able to eat Reremouse (and I didn’t know at the time that I had to play around with the convictions to even be able to do it) 

I guess VTMB Clan Quest Mod spoiled me with all the characters I could diablerize! (Although I would have loved to been able to diablerized LaCroix, Nines and Strauss too!)😅

Vampire the Masquerade: Night Road Spoilers

Some little highlights from my Male Ventrue, Ransom, who I’ve done a Pro Camarilla playthrough with.

So I finally, finally recruited Raul as my ghoul and honestly I love all the characters that can be your ghoul so much! ^_^

And also I got myself three convictions this playthrough, I normally get only two. So Ransom respects the Traditions (though he thinks that Camarilla needs to adapt and change for the modern age and not be so shitty towards the ‘low’ clans) he believes in a better world for Kindred (again through a better Camarilla) and believes in being humane towards humans. (and thus has a maxed humanity, which is funny how in both of my Pro Camarilla playthroughs I end up having maxed humanity🤔)

And also Ransom managed to dominate Donati into dropping the flare gun, the whole reason I started this playthrough in the first place! 😁

But alas, Ransom ended up choosing to stay with the Camarilla rather go with Lettow, even though he really did come to love him but unfortunately his duty to improve the Camarilla won out over love !😭
