While Hatsune Miku is the most well-known Vocaloid and generally considered the most influential and popular, flower may have overtaken her in relevancy in some areas, having the most viewed Vocaloid song on any platform (Goodbye Sengen at over 100 million views) as well as being more relevant according to Google Trends (with Miku having peaked in Google searches in 2012 and flower currently peaking in Google searches in 2023).

Miku is just overly popular in a way that makes her feel stale now. Thankfully other vocaloids aren't really as over used. I noticed that I just don't enjoy the way twitter and bluesky artists tend to draw miku. They make her look so dull.If you look at how different Reverse Rainbow or last night good night or Tokarev and a Girl are you can see the style dripping from the way the producers and illustrators are portraying her without making her look too different. All that magic feels gone.

vocaloid fun(?) facts: VY2's "i" issue

VY2's original VOCALOID2 voicebank has a small but prominent oddity where the "i" phoneme in his mid/low range includes a mic pop when left to play out. it doesn't happen in his higher range (as it's a different sample all together) or when another phoneme directly follows it, whether in the same note or a separate one.

i love vy2 very much i just have no idea how this managed to get through to the final version. it took me so aback when i first worked with him
