I've seen weird discourse on TikTok about what counts as a sundress, as I guess there are a bunch of men that think body-con dresses are sundresses? Personally, I think of sundresses as very light, flowy dresses that are usually long, but can be short. Sometimes they have sleeves, sometimes they don't.

I think the octotrio would still prefer different types of sundresses on their beloved~ This is what I think, though it's a bit suggestive:

Azul likes wrap dresses, he thinks they're super versatile with the various lengths and styles! They can be formal or informal, but is favorite to see on you is one in a casual style. It let's in take you out and about for dates on the pier, and it's best for the beach, which he is fond of even if he doesn't transform while in the water. And, well, the fact that it's just a few strings and ribbons keeping it together...just one little tug, and he has you all on display for him~

Now, as much as I give him shit for his fashion sense in Camp Vargas, Jade is actually super good at finding you cute dresses, though he's inclined to go for a long, dainty milkmaid dress. Something about it being so cute and almost unassuming drives him a bit insane. It's perfect for a hot summer day out in the town, or perfect for him to come home to! It's so innocent, but not really, not with the thoughts Jade's having each time he sees you in that dress.

Finally, I think Floyd really likes cute things. He like cute things, likes cute clothes, cute people, cute clothes on cute people! He likes to see you dress up in short, frilly dresses when you guys go out to the beach. It's perfect for the hot weather, easy to slip on and off for...activities...and it's just very cutesy! He loves all of it, and he wants to see you in it! Won't you just indulge him? He proooomises to behave....for a little bit. Don't mind if he sneaks you away to a private grotto, he did say the dress is easy to slip on and off real quickly.

What are your all-time favorite outfits from Twisted Wonderland?

Hello @letterstoear, thank you for ask! I've had a lot of fun making this post, and I'm so sorry that it took forever to answer!

Every time I was certain I had my list narrowed down, I remembered another outfit I really liked. (Also, I'm a little bit biased, as you will see...haha). This time, I focused on event outfits to make it easier for myself. Maybe in the future I'll post my "reviews" on dorm uniforms or Halloween costumes.

I am always blown away by the the little details that Yana Toboso and the rest of the design team have added to each of characters' outfits, because they give some interesting insight to their personalities and backgrounds.

Without further ado, let's discuss some outfits! (Please note that there are spoilers for upcoming events from the JP server, as well as some groovy arts!)

My Favorite Twisted Wonderland Outfits

10. Floyd's Outdoor Wear (Vargas Camp)

Most of the outfits on my list are on the extravagant side. I recently bought a volume of Black Butler, where there was a note about how Yana Toboso loves to draw clothing, and it truly shows.

But in contrast to seeing our beloved characters in over-the-top costumes, it's refreshing to see them wearing casual outfits once in a while as well and see their individual, everyday styles.

I'll admit that I haven't played any of the Vargas Camp events, and have a grand total of zero (0) cards from this series. I'm not sure why; I always miss the event's runtime for some reason.

Still, I've always loved Floyd's little sling bag with the eel keychain, as well as the teal visor. The bright colors stand out and are appealing.

The whole outfit looks like something you could get from a store like Uniqlo, and sometimes it is nice to have that sort of realism in a magical game. He looks like an ordinary teenager I could find on the street. Except...if I did find Floyd on the street, I'd be running in the other direction. But that's not the main idea here.

9. Azul's Glorious Masquerade Outfit

At first, I sort of forgot that this SSR existed. When the PV for Glorious Masquerade came out, I was more focused on Malleus.

However, eventually, many people began to cosplay as GloMas Azul, and they all looked so amazing. I began to appreciate the outfit more after seeing people pose and dance in it. Azul also tends to have some of the best fanart, and fans have spared no expense when drawing him wearing this.

My favorite part of the outfit is his coat. I like the silhouette it creates with a high-waist belt, and the long coattails that resemble tentacles. The ruffles on his trousers are cute, too. I would buy a pair if I could. Unfortunately, it's hard to see these details on his in-game sprite.

As for his accessories, the pearls are so dramatic (and so very Azul). His round glasses are also cute, I hope he wears them again!

8. Idia's Suitor Suit

One look at Idia's Ghost Marriage outfit, and you can really tell that it was designed by Yana Toboso. His gloves, coat, and cravat make him look like he's in the Victorian Era. Also, doesn't he look sort of like Grelle from Black Butler?

Speaking of Grelle, Idia's outfit is meant to look more like funeral attire, between the long, black coat and the lilies pinned to his shoulder. There are also skulls hidden throughout his outfit, such as on his jacket chain and cufflinks. I was still new to TWST at the time, so I just thought that Idia liked gothic clothing. I didn't realize he was (at least in his mind) attending his own funeral!

Let's not forget his new hairstyle! This is one of Idia's first SSRs if I remember correctly, so it was exciting to see him with a ponytail.

My love for this outfit also comes from my love for the story associated with it. Fans have pointed out that Idia's "arranged marriage" with Eliza parallels the myth of Hades and Persephone. The design team and Yana were so clever for this.

I don't have this card, either, but I hope to pick him up one day!

7. Ortho's Fairy Gear

The Shroud brothers are luckyーthey are probably two of the characters with the most SSRs in the game.

That being said, we all have to agree that Ortho's fairy gear is one of the most unique and avant-garde cards in the game.

I really enjoy the white and gold color scheme in this event. His color-changing wings are stunning, and the piece covering his eyes makes him look very mysterious.

I thought this card was cool when I first saw it, but then I learned that Ortho's outfit and hair can turn pink, which is even better.

Every time I see his "pointe shoes," it makes me imagine Ortho and Idia trying to learn how to dance together in Idia's room, and Idia obsessively studying ballet costumes for his younger brother.

Yet again, I don't have this card, but my best friend does! At least I can admire him from her phone...

6. Silver's Rabbit Wear

There is no way that this outfit is just an R card! When this card was first advertised in one of the JR rail train stations, the pictures showed this card with Deuce's hometown in the background instead of the standard Diasomnia R background, so I thought that this card would at least be an SR. (Although I can't complain so much, because that means it's free!)

Silver is so princely. I am convinced that he can look good in anything. I am fond of pastel colors, and the pink/blue color scheme suits him, as the TWST version of Aurora. The bows may be silly, but I find them adorable.

Compared to the other boys in this event, Silver's outfit looks a little more like a soldier's (albeit a toy soldier's or a nutcracker's), which is a cool touch.

5. Deuce's Rabbit Wear

Deuce's hometown event was truly one of my favorite events that came out in the JP sever last year. Not only were some of my most favorite characters there, but they were dressed up in the most whimsical outfits possible. (And we got to meet Deuce's motherーshe's the coolest!)

Since Deuce is the main character of this event, his outfit bears the most resemblance to the white rabbit's in most classic illustrations, complete with a bow tie, top hat, and, of course, his pocket watch. His outfit has a blue color scheme. Like Azul in GloMas, Deuce also wears round glasses in his groovy art. Overall, it looks like the sweet ouji style, although I'm not very familiar with this sub-fashion. If anyone who is reading this has studied/worn this style of fashion, please let me know!

I used to play Love Nikki and Shining Nikki (two fashion-themed gacha games), which also featured lolita dresses inspired by Alice in Wonderland characters. For this reason, Deuce's outfit in particular feels very nostalgic to me.

4. Lilia's Right General Armor

Here's another departure from the cute pastel outfits...

Sleeping Beauty was one of my favorite Disney movies as a child. I always remembered Maleficent's "goons" as short, silly little creatures wearing simple green tunics.

So how on earth did we get to Right General Lilia Vanrouge?!

Seriously, I'm just stunned by how the artists looked at the source material and created something so radically, yet wonderfully, different.

I'm curious about the green stones (jades?) on his outfit--around his waist, there are several pieces attached to tassels, and he has two strapped to his right leg. The material matches the stone used for his weapon. Maybe it represents his status in Briar Valley. If you check his (unposed) sprite, you can also see that he is wearing something around his waist that looks like folded bat wings.

Like everyone else, I'm obsessed with his long hairーit makes him look so formidable, especially with that hood. My friends and I like to joke that his ponytail makes him look like a character in a Chinese martial arts drama.

Again, the story associated with this card made me love it even more. Few books have made me cry as much as Book 7 of TWST.

3. Malleus' Glorious Masquerade Outfit

While Sleeping Beauty was my favorite movie as a young child, when I got older, I began to love The Hunchback of Notre Dame. It was only natural for this outfit to be among my favorites for this reason.

There are so many details here. The feathered hat. The sheer sleeves. The golden embroidery. The split cape. It's honestly overwhelming to take in at once.

I can say that my favorite detail is his green earrings. They really bring out his eye color, and the PV made them so sparkly.

In addition, everyone I've ever seen who has cosplayed as GloMas Malleus or has drawn fanart of him has increased my appreciation of this outfit.

[Now for some very spoiler-y stuff] The fact that this event came just before the release of Chapter 7 is worth noting. Doesn't it feel a bit tragic that just before Malleus' overblot, we have a chance to see him wearing an outfit that makes him look especially like his mother, having fun and being the star at the masquerade? And what about the feathers on his shouldersーdo they hint at another side of his family? There's so much foreshadowing and mystery going on, and nothing is more suitable for the occasion than masquerade attire.

2. Kalim's New Year Attire

I've already rambled about how sentimental this outfit is to me in a previous post, but in summary: New Year is my favorite holiday, and the New Year's Sale event was the first event I "seriously" participated in. Kalim looks excessively cute and festive in his kimono, and every time I see this card, I feel nostalgic and in the holiday mood.

1. (Tied) Epel's Applepom Outfit and Riddle's Beach Outfit

I'm really sorry, Epel and Riddle are my favorite characters, and in the end, I refuse to chose between them. They're like my younger brothers! I try to collect all of their cards, so I pay attention to their outfits the most, and picking only one outfit for each character was a challenge in itself.

My favorite part of Epel's Applepom outfit is his cloak. It looks so fluffy and warm. When you set him as your home screen character, you also have the option to "swap looks" and see his outfit without the cloak--the apple embroidery on the rest of his outfit is very detailed. Many fans have mentioned that the outfits people wear in Harveston resemble traditional Scandinavian clothing, which is really cool!

The little apple slices on his cap are everything.

And I'm always happy to see characters in different hairstyles, such as Epel's little ponytail.

One of my headcanons is that you're allowed to call Epel cute, but only when he wears this specific outfit, because he takes it as a complement to his culture.

As for Riddle, we're all so used to seeing him wearing formal suits. It's so nice to see him loosening up for once. He looks so happy, now that he has the chance to see the ocean for the first time!

I also happened to be on vacation at the beach around the time this event came out, so it felt like a gift.

I have to laugh a little, because there are so many flowers on his outfit. Even Jack pointed it out in the story. But he looks so cute!

I suppose we have to discuss the elephant in the room. My friend saw it before me, so she spammed me with messages along the lines of "RIDDLE IS WEARING A CROP TOP!!! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!" and I naturally thought she was pranking me. But lo and behold, it's the truth. I like to headcanon that among the rest of the cast in this event, everyone has made an unspoken mutual agreement not to mention it. This Victorian child has already been through enough, and not a word must reach Mrs. Rosehearts.

Hello! I think I've got a good one. First off, for the sake of this request, let's pretend that Rook was somehow able to attend Camp Vargas (We're reaching SO far, but it's fine) and he has a male s/o who was also attending the camp (whether he's Yuu or not, I'll leave up to you), but he has serious trauma from being kidnapped by a serial killer when he was younger. And so, when Vargas captures and ties him up, the reader starts losing it and having a panic attack, thinking he's going to die. How would Rook react to this?

Hey, Anon! Thanks for sharing your brain rot ideas regarding Rook, because we love our ridiculous and theatrical hunter. Truly a wild set of circumstances I've been presented, but I love it!

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if I saw Rook attending Camp Vargas purely because the man is so athletic. He wields a huge bow with great accuracy and is proficient in stealth. He would easily be able to sneak in and just lay in wait, taking pictures secretly in the trees. The reason he would be there in the first place would absolutely be to take photographs.

Honestly, even without the extremeness of "got kidnapped by a serial killer," I can see someone having a panic attack just in general by getting kidnapped. I mean certain traumas can trigger people's fight, flight, or freeze response and it's a big mood.

What will come next is just me free writing my ideas for this, so here's y'all's present I guess lol. Also, note that I have not actually read the Vargas Camp event, but have a vague idea of what kinda went down during the event lol.

Oh my god, wait, to elaborate on this idea or whatever. I could totally see Rook in the trees, watching the whole kidnapping thing go down. Then, when Vargas would leave to claim his next unsuspecting victim, Rook would drop down next to you. Cooing in your ear that you were safe and are going to be ok, he would cut the ropes off you. Probably holding you close and just rocking you back in forth lovingly while you calm down from your panic attack. You would probably be clinging onto him and his big muscles like a koala. He would be whispering sweet words of affirmations in your ear, as he moves you to somewhere safer. Aka away from the pile of other victims lol...

You know, he would probably cut the other victims free just to cause some more fun chaos and trouble for Ashton. He probably knows that the person behind the kidnappings was Ashton anyway, because Rook is so perceptive... I could totally imagine him deciding to exact a "friendly" revenge on him for messing and actually traumatizing his beloved by telling the other victims that the culprit was Ashton and maybe some other important information to help them successfully get back at their teacher lol. Rook wouldn't have time in the moment to personally get back at him, because he would be too busy taking care of you!! Ahhh, so sweet! We love our hunter boy. Taking care of us and making sure that we feel ok and safe (in his arms lol). I can imagine that there would be cuddles as you hear the sounds of absolute chaos and screaming in the distance perhaps watching the whole fight go down from afar. The kids rebelling and enacting a revolution to overthrow Vargas. Sounds about right. I wouldn't be surprised if that would happen in game low key lol.

Ohhhh, and you know what would be the cherry on the cake? Having the reader specifically thinking and praying (maybe whimpering lol) while they're getting kidnapped that Rook would save them even though he wasn't at camp or whatever. And then having Rook actually show up?!!! *throws myself on the floor and dies* It's such a good idea. Good job, anon, you've successfully murdered me.

good morning or afternoon absol! this might be odd but do you have a fave twst ship?

Good morning Alice. I have a favorite. But I have a few ships I like in Twisted Wonderland. But… I also make primarily x reader content so I do not share much about them. My biggest favorite is a ‘rare pair’ of Floyd x Ruggie. I think their dynamic is very chaotic and I would thrive seeing them interact more. This came from my first experience with Camp Vargas years ago when they had a duo magic together. For some reason it clicked.

I also like Cater x Jamil which is a rare pair also. Only in a way that the ship is equally one sided and really they just have emotional vulnerability with one another… I think that is called Bromance. I think they just are comfortable venting. This is based solely off of Cater’s vignette from the summer event where Jamil says he looks good in that salmon pink color and Cater buys the scarf simply because Jamil said it suited him. I am happy.

Of course I am a RookVil truther. Rook and his beloved Queen whom he adores and is always attached to… I just like this because it’s nice seeing Rook fawn over Vil. I love a man who worships.

Shockingly… I also like Trey x Jade. Two very normal individuals who are slightly off. Nothing particular makes me like this ship. I just… Imagining them next to each other is odd. So I think they should be odd together. Trey can study Jades mouth and Jade can force feed Trey mushroom dishes.

How would you rate the twst events out of 10

I’m not really good with assigning numbers to things (especially since there’s so many different factors to consider for the TWST events 💦), so I’m just going to give a quick rundown of my thoughts on each event (excluding Master Chefs, Birthday Campaigns, and Anniversaries, as those events don’t have extensive plots associated with them).

***Event spoilers below the cut!***

Happy Beans Day ~Seize the Golden Harp!~ — Not a fan of the beans camo, it’s so ugly to me (sorry not sorry, but it’s perhaps the ugliest fashion of all the event cards) 😭 Fashion aside, I enjoyed the backhandedness, alliances, and double crossing involved in the competition. Also we get a free J word so it’s a good event in my book 😳 This is one of the few events where Yuu and Grim actually play a significant role in the story, but it ironically has the opposite effect of taking me out of the story xjbdjsdhjsjss I think I’d rather just watch the boys being petty to each other instead of them pausing to ask for my thoughts when I know my choice won’t affect the story much in the long run.

Fairy Gala ~Festival of the Spring — Calling Fairies~ — I LOVE THE LOOKS SERVED HERE 👏 Unfortunately, FG is kind of lacking in story to me... Like, the first half is a training arc and the second half is the actual heist, which I didn’t find that exciting. I think the best parts of this event were L*ona being sassy 😂 I especially enjoyed the part where he charmed the little fairies right as they were about to catch us red-handed.

Ghost Marriage ~Proposal of Destiny~ — Easily one of my favorite events! I like the outfits a lot (formal wear my beloved 😭), as well as how the story plays off of a lot of the usual romance tropes and then proceeds to subvert them. It just goes to show that a lot of the NRC boys are just... well, still boys and not yet ready for romantic love, nor particularly wanting romantic love (I see you there, Idia). I had a lot of laughs when I read through Ghost Marriage (it fucking SLAPPED, pun intended), right up to the sweet (if slightly cliché) ending.

Wish Upon a Star ~Dance and Wishes~ — One of the better event stories, in my opinion! I liked getting to learn a little about every character’s wish and what the views on it coming true via “magic” were. The outfits were alright, not exactly to my tastes but the flowy fabric was very fitting for a performance. I think what really shines in Wish Upon a Star is Deuce and his determination! Another thing I appreciate is that this event elaborated on the closeness of the Shroud brothers and introduced us to Star Rogue, both elements which would later become relevant in chapter 6 of the main story.

Scary Monsters! ~Screaming Halloween Show~ — I appreciate that TWST went all-out and made a mark on Halloween as their “big” event of the year. The limited cards released for this event were also really unique, with more of a focus on trying to actually look scary in their Groovies rather than just be plain fanservice. I think this event’s story was definitely on the weaker end. It’s nice that the boys had fun, but the “antagonists” were chbdjsbsjs kinda lackluster? I mean, they were just annoying people looking for social media clout... which is WAY too “real” for me 😂 I don’t know, I’d rather read about an otherworldly or magical threat over a mundane one like that.

Vargas CAMP! ~Spring Happening~ — There’s nothing outright offensive about this event, but there weren’t that many memorable moments to me either. I’m not much interested in watching the boys go around doing sweaty labor or Vargas doing... whatever it was he was doing 💦 Honestly, Sebek was probably the best part just because he was so damn petty the whole time djsvuwveisbeldiwg

Happy Beans Day ~The Harp-less Brawl~ — I don’t think there’s a lot more for me to say here, because this event basically just expands on the story presented in the first Happy Beans Day. I definitely liked the additional details added (like Lilia fighting Silver and Malleus, how Rook teamed up with Trey, Floyd fucking off to do whatever he wants, etc.), but other than that, it basically feels like a repeat of the original but told from a slightly different perspective. Some of the tension is also taken away because we technically already know how this one would end.

Scalding Sands' Al'ab Nariya — This was a cute one! I love that we got to step outside of NRC and explore more of Twisted Wonderland (plus we got to meet Jamil’s sister, hehe). More tasty lore 😳 The story kind of meanders, but I’ll excuse it because we got to see so many unique sets and learned a lot about the culture and traditions of the Scalding Sands. We also get a healthy helping of Jamil suffering 😭 THIS POOR GUY Their fashion was also very interesting to see; it’s pretty but also practical and allows for great mobility.

Scary Monsters! ~Endless Halloween Night~ — I think the marketing for this was genius. The animated trailers for Endless Halloween Night and the story concept itself helped build hype, as did the first half of the story. We were all expecting some powerful, otherworldly entity freezing time and kidnapping students, and for an epic showdown to stop its evil machinations. The build up to it was SO good... The kids having to go to another world, collect mysterious mirror shards, fight their possessed peers... It was all setting up for an even greater ending!! ... Only for me to be met with complete disappointment 😔 IF ONLY IT DIDN’T END LIKE THAT, THIS EVENT WOULD HAVE BEEN AMAZING 😭 but instead it comes off as a cop-out and a wasted opportunity...

Sam’s New Year Sale 2022 — This one has more of a story than Master Chef, Anniversaries, and Birthday Campaigns, so I thought to include it. It had a very simple story and conflict, but what I didn’t like about it was that they never fully resolve the legend of the voucher that everyone was gunning so hard for. Was it actually something that Sam made up to push sales, since no one ever found it????? Some confirmation would be nice Dx because as is, it’s one massive question mark, an unfinished circle.

Harveston's Kelkkarotu — The boys look so warm and fluffy for this event...! It contrasts nicely with their blazing competitive streak against RSA (every time the Dwarves were on screen and the NRC boys were gagging at their sweetness, I screamed). It’s a very cozy event, and like the Scalding Sands one, I loved learning more about the world of Twisted Wonderland through it. dhksvehebdmd AnOTHER frEE J WoRD CARD I actually enjoyed the parts where they’re going on a food tour of the village more than the sledding race HAHAH 😂 They’re growing boys, they should eat well!!

Fairy Gala What if? ~The Fantastical Festival of Fairies~ — What If has a lot of the same issues as the original FG, just because they follow a very similar structure. What I will say is that What If is great just because it has fairy ballerina Ortho, who is one of the prettiest limited cards 😤 and I much prefer What If for how it resolves its conflicts over the original. It’s really cute how hard Ortho is working to find his own originality, and how the others stepped in to try and help! I also love that Silver stepped in to serve as a diplomat between them and the fairies and how it was Jack that sneezed and gave them away. It lends more depth to Ortho and Silver’s characters (that will probably become relevant again in chapter 7).

Speaking of cards we want!! I'm lucky half of my top priority cards are free in the events. But still... so man🤧 I need Fairy Gala Ruggie and Jamil- Leona would be cool to have but he's not high on my simp list so his is just for looks. I want all but Rook for the Ghost Marriage cards. Silk Jamil and Mal....all Boa boys except Sebek...and Camp Ruggie! I need Camping Ruggie! But that's not counting birthday cards! I need Jamil, Jade, and Riddle.

oh yeah, i completely forgot to mention that i want every and all event cards / SR cards in the deck sjfksjd like i am a cOLLECTOR i shall collect them all !! hopefully !!

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you again, work has been absolutely kicking my butt. It's been nothing but work, eat and sleep and occasionally watch some netflix the past few days ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ

Pulled for Jamil yesterday, and he was kind enough to come home quite fast, so I did also spend 500 gems on the D23 bundle and managed to get Epel, getting me yet another Dorm SSR i don't necessarily want. I cannot complain cause I have a lot of the dorm SSR, but except for Leona our beloved, not a single one of favorite characters hahah the gacha fate is cruel. I am enjoying my little party Jamil tho!

I also need to desperately get to playing camp Vargas I haven't had the time or energy to do so and I truly want to keep the Leona card, even tho his outfit is kind of hideous, truly rich kid fell into a clothing rack and bought it all couture (I know they said Ruggie got the stuff for him, and I can't help but feel he did it a little on purpose to mess with Leona... I mean leopard print?? on a lion??) Anyway, hope you've been having fun playing! Halloween is coming up too and it looks like *if* Leona will appear at all this year in Halloween he is an SR, so the gacha gods may have mercy on us haha!

4R’s: Encantadia (Jan. 31, 2017 episode review)

Episode 142

Recap:

Return from Devas

Amihan and Kahlil joined forces against Hagorn’s Hadezars, Agane’s suspicions were correct. Amihan died on purpose to become an ivtre, and what’s more is that she brought Kahlil with her back to Encantadia. While the two were busy fighting the Hadezars, Hagorn and his troop wasted no time and went back to the camp of the remaining sang’gres, diwatas and Sapirians. Ybrahim regained consciousness and the first encantado he saw was Kahlil, he was ecstatic to find out that his son has returned from Devas, what added to his happiness was the fact that it wasn’t only Kahlil who has returned but also his beloved Amihan. Both were very happy to be with each other again, Amihan didn’t break her promise, she has returned. But it wasn’t the time to celebrate, for they have to eliminate the Hadezars once and for all. Ybrahim went ahead (back to the camp) while Amihan and Kahlil took care of the remaining Hadezars.

A battle with the goddess

Cassiopeia was glad and thanked Emre for letting Amihan and Kahlil return to Encantadia. Now it was her turn to do what she has to and asked Emre for guidance. Cassiopeia went to the ruins of Etheria and summoned the goddess Ether, the latter appeared before her, Cassiopeia challenged her in a one-on-one duel. Ether transformed into her encantada form and fought the brave diwata. If Cassiopeia defeats Ether, then she could ask Emre to also turn her into a deity, a goddess who will protect and look after the diwatas, something which Ether will never allow. Cassiopeia took her down, but Ether wasn’t going to give her the joy of defeating her, Ether transformed back into a giant snake and just like that, Cassiopeia’s life was placed in danger.

Love at first sight?

Lila Sari single-handedly fought another group of Hadezars, finally being able to turn her curse to her advantage, Lila Sari took off her mask and turned the vidaljes into stones. Amarro came just as Lila Sari wore her mask back. Amarro was charmed by Lila Sari’s beauty but the latter was quick to dismiss him. Lila Sari met Hitano and went back to the camp. The damas, and Imaw quickly escaped while the sang’gres stayed behind to fight off the enemies. Abog’s wife forgot to give him his necklace which protects the soldier from harm, she wanted to go back to give it to him but Imaw did not allow her and urged her to go with them instead.

Mira’s disappointment

The diwanis Lira (who was still looking for her father) and Mira also braced themselves for battle, a wave of vidaljes arrived, the princesses fought alongside the older sang’gres. Abog got injured but Danaya immediately healed him and ordered Muros to take him to safety. Alena appeared and informed Danaya that she was needed at the other side for there were many injured encantados, Danaya went there leaving Alena to fight alongside Lira and Mira. The diwatas, took down another wave of vidaljes…almost, unfortunately Lira let her guard down and this gave the last ivtre an opportunity to stab her from behind, Ybrahim came just in time to witness this, he was initially terrified but his fears turned into outrage and immediately defended his daughter. Danaya and Hitano came back and helped them kill the Hadezars, Danaya quickly healed her hadiya. Before Lira recovered, Hagorn and his troop came, threatening to eliminate them all, Alena used the water gem and created a barrier to shield them from the Hadezars.  From behind, Pirena came and was about to kill Hagorn, but she remembered the words Ether spoke to her, that she will take her life once Pirena fights the goddess or Hagorn, Pirena changed her mind and ran away much to Mira’s distaste. Hagorn and Agane decided to go back to Amihan and left the Hadezars to kill their enemies. Lira was healed and was ready to fight again. Alena’s shield couldn’t hold on any longer, Danaya stepped up and used her earth gem and took down the ivtres just as Alena’s barrier faded. Lila Sari and Hitano re-joined them and prepared themselves for a fight to the death. Mira secretly stepped out of the way and followed Pirena, the former confronted her mother and told her how disappointed she was for letting go of the opportunity to kill Hagorn and regain the fire and spirit gems. Pirena stressed that Hagorn was still her father and she made a deal with Ether, regardless of Pirena’s reason, Mira did not care to listen and left.

A spark of hope

Hagorn, Agane, Amarro and Asval saw Amihan and Kahlil’s progress, and because they were blessed by Emre, Hagorn knew it was impossible to defeat the two. Thus they have to kill the remaining diwatas and Sapirians as soon as possible, Hagorn, Asval and Amarro went back to the camp, ready to eliminate them all. Alena quickly created a shield to protect all of them, Lira was starting to lose hope and knew they were all going to die. Lira prayed and asked for a divine intervention. Emre was quick to grant her prayers, Agane re-joined her king and pointed Amihan and Kahlil from afar, fighting off the Hadezars wave after wave. Lira could not believe what she was seeing, Ybrahim confirmed that her mother’s ivtre has returned and so is Kahlil’s. Alena too was stunned at the sight of her son. Hagorn knew they will be defeated this time, thus the Hathors and the remaining ivtres on their side were forced to retreat. The battle ended for now. Lira was overjoyed to see her mother once again, Alena was beyond glad to finally meet her son. It was a happy reunion for both mothers and their children. Pirena came and was also glad to see Amihan again, the latter noticed Mira was missing, they looked around but no Mira showed up. Unfortunately, the Hathors saw Mira on their way back, abducted her and took her to Hathoria, Hagorn will use his own granddaughter against Amihan, the battle isn’t over.

Raves:

💙💧 Amihan and Kahlil teaming up against the Hadezars was so freakin’ awesome, one thing that lacked in the 2005 version is that the younger sang’gres didn’t have that much bonding moments with their Ashtis, well…except maybe for Lira, and Amihan and Kahlil never really got to know each other so it’s nice to see them having some sort of bonding in a different, badass kind of way.

💚💧 The Amihan-Lira and Alena-Kahlil reunion though, oh my gosh! As usual, Kylie and Mikee’s mother and daughter chemistry is on point, but I have to commend Gabbi for nailing that mommy role (FINALLY!), Gabbi and Avery’s mother and son team up for me wasn’t really “up there” like the Kylie and Mikee tandem, but hey, they did a good job and their chemistry was enough to make me believe that they are mother and son.

💙💪 Of course, let us not forget the lechon for tonight. DMR has been generous lately and has been showering us with loads of YA goodness, though we all know the reason why, I still don’t know how this story will turn out but we just have to trust the team. Like what Ms Suzi said on one of her tweets, they are listening.

💛💂 I gotta use these emojis to emphasize DanQuil 2005 😂 Alfred Vargas and Diana Zubiri has proven that nothing beats the original. I gotta say Alfred and Diana still has that DanQuil spark even after almost twelve years. Nothing changed, still the same DanQuil we all loved. Gosh LilaMarro anyone?
