Happy birthday to horror icon, Robert Englund. Born on this day in 1947, the 77-year-old actor is more widely known for his portrayal of Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street series. Some of his other credits include V (1984-1985), The Phantom of the Opera (1989), The Mangler (1995), Strangeland (1998), and Hatchet (2006)

Trying again to finish watching V!
I saw the 2009 reboot first (great decision in hindsight) I thought it was good overall with a few dumb parts initially, then I watched the original and realized that the 2009 version was ridiculous overall with a lot of brain dead parts that my "enjoy the show" mindset didn't catch immediately.
I found the original miniseries and the Final Battle on DVD at my local library and watched them both. Love them. I wish this had a bigger fan base. It would be so much fun.
I found out about V: The Series later and went back to the library to see if they had it. They did. (I had actually mistaken it for another copy of the original miniseries.) So I decided that I was going to watch the ENTIRE franchise; from the original to the reboot. Life happens. I didn't get past the first episode of the third series.
This time, I didn't get the original miniseries or The Final Battle so that I'd have enough time before needing to take it back.
I'm aware of a book that's out there too, I'd like to get my hands on that one day. (Correction: several books.) And there's a DC Comics adaptation of the series. (To be totally honest, this is one of those comics that I'd love to find but know that there's absolutely no way in hell I ever will.)
This toy is amazing. I would have LOVED this as a kid. Absolutely loved it.
