Every song in it is a banger, but once all the pieces of the puzzle begin to click together, the entire video takes on a much more depressing tone. Warning for some drug/child abuse.

Brian David Gilbert has been leaning more into horror over the past few years, and I absolutely adore it. Teaching Jake was one of the first non-Polygon videos I'd watched from him, and I think it altered something in my brain a bit. Teaching Jake calls to mind This House the most, but I also highly recommend Earn $20K Every Month By Being Your Own Boss and Welcome To The Neighborhood!

If you're more into the ARG aspects of This House, I'd definitely recommend POSTcontent. I haven't seen too many other people talk about it, but it's about loneliness in the digital age and the questionable state of automated mental healthcare. (the analog horror post reminded me of this, though a little off-to-the-side of that genre) Have you ever seen the short horror story "The House Has People In It"? It's made as if it were found-footage, and is both very quick and incredible surreal; a family getting ready for a birthday party, and strange events begin to occur. The main one being, the daughter is "slipping" through the floor, seemingly in a non-responsive trance. The footage switches through different rooms and all the events happening withing moments of each other. It has no explanation, which makes the frightened reactions of the family very understandable!

I FUCKING LOVE THIS HOUSE HAS PEOPLE IN IT!!!!!! I was wondering whether to include it (as well as Unedited Footage of a Bear) on the analog horror list but ended up not doing it as I was going for a more strictly analog/digital horror vibe.

I highly recommend these videos that go over and explain both This House Has People in It and Unedited Footage of a Bear. Both short films are actually ARGs; there's a bunch of extra material behind them, all of which get explained in these videos.
