@meloveanimeforreal7604 your ask glitched so I’m answering with a screenshot chchch
I actually have my own thoughts on their stats and how they changed under Nightmare
Killer is actually canonically shown to have 99999 LV, but later, Rahaf stated people can choose whichever LV they wanted for him, so it’s basically up for interpretation
Murder is canonically mostly at 19 LV, in some timelines, he reaches 20 LV
Horror has never been given a canon LV as far as I know (correct me if I’m wrong)
That being said, in my lil version of Nightmare, he has a “no killing unless necessary” rule, but generally, Nightmare can be a bit lenient if MTT resort to killing as long as it does not affect the negativity in a bad way
As in, if killing someone results in the negativity decreasing, than Nightmare would be pissed, but say if a monster was part of a family and their death resulted in a negativity increase due to their family’s grief, then Nightmare lets it slide
Nightmare only orders MTT not to go overboard with killing, his orders are usually within “Kill as many as necessary to generate a sufficient amount of negativity, otherwise, torture or terrorize”
Murder never ever kills anyone, nor does he tortures anyone, he usually hopes Nightmare would simply assign him a supply run job (which doesn’t always happen) and so if he were to do anything to help with negativity, he resorts to terrorizing only, as in just scaring people by blasting his gaster blaster in random directions, etc, but he never kills or tortures, these people are not part of his own AU, he has no business here, it causes him a lot of problems with Nightmare, but Murder prefers to deal with Nightmare’s abuse than live with more blood on his hands than necessary (I think you can already guess that Murder would deal with forced killing at some point no? >:) )
His stats are very Undertale like, they still follow the same formula and are pretty much uncorrupted, whenever anyone checks him, they get the exact same stats as you’d see in game, his LV stays on 19
Horror would simply follow Nightmare’s orders usually, sometimes during a bad mood swing he might end up killing people, but still stays within the limits of Nightmare’s rules, Horror is generally more responsible for torturing than killing, he’s sadistic af and finds joy in the screams of mercy when people plead for their lives (he might or might not cope with the rage brewing inside him from having to deal with Nightmare and his abuse by turning that rage to sadistic joy when torturing innocents)
His stats are semi-corrupted, his HP doesn’t show up at all, that is because Horror is technically already dead, from his head injury, therefore, his HP can no longer reflect him, his stats simply finds difficulty to assign a number to him, I like to think his LV is somewhere in the middle, not as high as Murder’s but not low either, but it definitely increased a few points after he started working under Nightmare
Killer doesn’t kill unless ordered to, he just tortures and terrorizes, he’s generally apathetic to people’s screams for mercy, only doing his job like the good killing machine he is, at stage 2, he does find his job “fun” but in a way that’s more thrilling to his restless dissociative mind and body then any actual joy, he’s curious and fascinated, not happy, he can’t latch onto his emotions at stage 2 anyway, but I think it’s clear that he carries so much guilt for it that’s only apparent when at stage 1
Killer’s stats are extremely messed up, they no longer truly reflect him at all, his stats are like a corrupted file, it isn’t working as it should be, his HP, AT and DF keep glitching and changing constantly, unable to truly settle on one single number, his 99999 LV would be the closest thing to “consistent” in reflection to him, but even then, it’s corrupted, glitching like the rest but still stays at 99999 LV
His LV doesn’t truly reflect his level of violence, but rather, his soul’s unnatural state, his Determination is way too excessive and his code is way too messed up
An HP can show you that it’s at 1, but no matter how much he’s hit he doesn’t die, or it could show you that it’s at 99 and he dies from one hit
In short, his stats aren’t to be taken on face value as they no longer truly reflect him beyond showing how messed up his state is
Nightmare doesn’t kill unless necessary or when he deems it in his interest, or in some cases, when anger takes the better of him, he finds sadistic joy in the misery of others and a sense of power that he just loves feeling, it makes him feel untouchable, unreachable, undeniably invincible, and by extension, it eases the constant fear of everything and everyone around him (something he’s in denial of)
Nightmare simply put, has no stats, he can be checked, but his stats are never going to be shown, he’s too much of an outcode for his stats to truly show anymore, not to mention, his state of being a semi-god, but the further someone is disconnected from their home, the more likely their stats aren’t going to show or be corrupted when shown, Nightmare falls under the “not shown” category (Killer’s stats’ corruption is also enhanced by his disconnection from his world)

Hey, if you don’t mind the question. What’s your opinion on Undertale Yellow?
8/10 game. pretty good at being a game, not so much at being an undertale story. the gameplay itself was fun, the area/puzzle designs too, the soundtrack was untouchable it literally gave me the same rush i felt hearing sburb initiation for the first time. minor NPCs designs were fun but the primary cast was too monotonous, tbh. (all the main characters have tall gangly very detailed designs save for like, axis). its attempts at landing Undertale's humor were quite often successful, but it held back on exaggeration and caricaturing its original characters which took away that oomph from the canon game. the character writing was... lacking. which is a pity.
i love fucked up women so i was really disappointed that every single one of ceroba's actions/ideas/influences on the story were nothing but an extension of her dead husband. when you take chujin away she's just... A Good Wife and Mother. or starlo's past love interest ig. i mean both dalv and martlet's backstory were tied to her family and we never see them interact at all. but they do have an established dynamic.... with the dead husband. again. UGH. she's just really wasted as a character (she and chujin should've BOTH been scientists and she should've continued the project AGAINST his wishes after he died. she's the main cast character, she should be the driving force in the narrative, not him—even if chujin sets the plot in montion by inventing the serum first).
I'm not a huge asgore fan—not that i dislike him, he's just not a character i care about all that much—so congrats to this game for making me say "he would NOT fucking say that". the "fuck the royals" subplot thing was really unnecessary. actually, that was a bit of a recurring thing in the game. suddenly introducing these Huge Social Dilemmas like labor exploitation, anti-monarchic sentiments, misogyny (bro who on earth "needs to take a wife" this is Undertale) everyone realizing that clover is a child, over exaggerating the violence at stake... while also attempting to maintain Undertale's careless, bouncy treatment of the situation. that's... not how things work. undertale is able to maintain its light tone BECAUSE it doesn't let you take those topics seriously, they're not meant to be. the fairytale-like king, the battles, the child protagonist, they're all set dressings for the REAL story and REAL power imbalance it wants to highlight: that between player and game characters. everything is in function of that. you take that layer of separation and make everyone aware that theyre violently attacking and killing a literal child... that's not. a good thing dude. if it's not gonna impact the tone of the story, why acknowledge it in the first place? it's just unnecessary
anyway flowey neutral run was really, really fun. his dialogue writing all throughout the game was very solid and i had a blast having him around. however, they shouldn't have tried to anticipate his character development. this game is a prequel, you can't do that without undermining his arc in the canon events. pacifist should've had him doubling down on his frustration from the neutral ending. i do all this work for you keeping you alive and you make the same mistake i did sacrifice yourself for them??? are you BRAINDEAD???? what I'm saying is he basically should've thrown the biggest tantrum of his LIFE. oh and in the NM run he should've been terrified when he lost control of the SAVE file. this is the first time it's ever happened to him and now he's gonna die for good. he wouldn't have gloated like he did.
if you want to hear more criticism along the lines of what i said then this post by the fantastic @andreabandrea covers a lot of what i also felt during the game. i know this might sound like a lot of negativity, but the fact remains that UTY was an absolutely phenomenal work of fan creativity the likes of which we have never seen before in the fandom. considering the quality and polish, i thought it only fair to approach it as the piece of art it is and give it my genuine thoughts on the matter.
overall, still a really fun way to spend the afternoon with a pal. so. thumbs up
#it's just that. it is a product of fandom. with a lot of fandom shortcomings too#and seeing people praise it so wholeheartedly that they insinuate it surpasses the original#just reminds me once again that the majority of people have absolutely zero idea about what makes undertale 1) good 2) what it is#lol#answered asks#no word on the music i have the tag blacklisted because I'm tired of seeing it everywhere but not the music brother#i am listening to that shit 24/7#turn it UP#biscia hater moment

#dreemurr is an anagram for murderer
:0
I did not realize that, but I probably should’ve hah, oh dang, but thanks for the spelling tip :)
And Asriel is an anagram for serial! So together it makes serial murderer =) (Can you imagine Chara bursting to a fit of giggles just after realizing this (like right at the beginning of the Asriel fight?) "Oh, the universe does have such a wonderfully ironic sense of humour at times, does it not?" An inapropriate but very Chara response)
And then we have the rest of the family, Asgore is very obviously a murderer (as the six souls can attest) and then Chara....you can count attempted murder, but I think I have something more interesting actually.
Okay so, due to file attribution theory, we know that Chara had their own save file but they just never used it, (which makes sense since Asriel describes determination as the power Chara was trying to stop and they think very negatively about people being above consequences, and resetting helps negate consequences), I think that Chara might have been able to reset back to the beginning and save both themselves and Asriel when they died to the villagers, but they didn't. Because his and their deaths were the consequences of the plan failing, and that they didn't see the point of continuing or trying again once they had already failed. (I mean, think about it, Chara is confused about being alive again specifically because their plan failed).
To put it bluntly, Chara got to the game over screen, saw the will you persist question and clicked no. But Asriel was with them too, and by letting themselves die, Chara also chose to let Asriel die when they could have saved him, and that to me is what makes them a ...Dreemurr. (and yes, murder-suicide still counts as murder).
Which is sort of why I don't like the old adage "Chara only killed one person. Themselves." No, they killed their brother, no matter what timeline you're talking about, they killed Asriel. Don't forget that. C and A, ....Cain and Abel, maybe it was always meant to end this way (or maybe it didn't have to, if it was anyone else, but Chara seems to think the very notion of defying fate is blasphemy). "I would follow in your footsteps, I would erase myself from existence" But the first time round, Asriel didn't have a choice, did he? He had to follow in their footsteps, because Chara dragged him along with them.
And then we have Toriel, Toriel, no matter how you cut it didn't kill anyone but well...she divorced Asgore before the game started and she says in the game itself that she doesn't consider herself nor want to be a Dreemurr anymore,
So it might be an unfortunate truth that the Undertale dreemurrs are murderers but I guess Toriel got away and dropped the name before the family curse could get her. Good for her!
And...yeah, the Undertale Dreemurrs, there are some edgy theories about Kris accidentally killing Azzy or whatever but I just think it's like...Undertale and Deltarune are different games, Toriel's name is still Toriel despite not being the Tutorial segment anymore so I think the anagram didn't carry over between games and it doesn't mean anything anymore. (plus surely if the dreemurrs are murderers thing carried over, it would surely apply to Deltarune's version of Asriel and Asgore)
Anyway, you're welcome for the spelling tip! :)

ULTIMATE (not really) GASTER CONNECTIONS LIST THING
Finally, I wrote down everything that came to my mind, most of them were theories. So if I missed something, please let me know. Plus, I'll probably update this when I find something new.
Devil connections:
- His stats are with numbers 666
- He fell (into his creation)
- his font has the word Wing in its name
-the first version of deltarune was 0.666
-religious connections of characters in Deltarune
- Possibility that he is an Angel
-Dark, Darker, Yet Darker
- Speaks through the Device - Ouija board reference?
- Shadow Crystals as pieces of him
- is associated with the most hell-like place in the Underground
Enemies in Undertale are similar to the Main Boss of the area-
Characters in the core:
- Final Froggit: Searching for Life Meaning/ Giving life its own meaning. Threaten/Mystify
-Whimsalot: "There's still hope", "I've made my choice", "No regrets", Prayers, Butterflies,
-Madjick: Clear Mind, Magican, Emits Cross-shaped bullets
-Knight Knight: Sleeping, Good Morningstar, Knight
Following this lead, Mettaton should not be a Core Boss -> there is no connection. This is Gaster's place
Uncategorized things:
-The core we see is redesigned by Mettaton, we do not know its previous layout
-Into voice's typer text value is the same as Gaster's
-Everything related to him in the files is written in caps
-His theme plays in Bunker
-He is described as always listening
-Like the corrupted characters he has voice lines (the word Deltarune spoken in the intro, laugh in Undertale files and BIG SHOT)
- can break the fourth wall ( takes over Twitter account)
- Deltarune crashes after typing "Gaster"
-"Man.ogg" is Yume Nikki Fansong
- talks to us in Vessel maker
- is in the Void
-Ms.Zarves and Ray as Inspiration for Gaster
-Possibly a Skeleton
- is the creator of Deltarune
- speaks in hands (probably WingDings font)
- He knows Chara personally (they work together)
- Deltarune is owned by ROYAL SCIENCES, LLC
-is scientist
-He worked for Asgore
-Dark Totems in Core - Dark Fountains first version?
-Memoryhead emits Gaster-like bullets
-Memoryhead says “Lorem Ipsum Docet” -> It means something like "Pain teaches”
-Memoryhead can give you a piece of themself
-Piece is called “Bad Memory”, Follower 3 is recalling Bad Memory connected to Gaster
-Noelle’s Blog page is reference to MysteryMan’s appearance in Undertale
-The entirety of Deltarune is an experiment
-Freezing is both reference to Freezing computer and Dante’s Inferno
-is connected to phones - Part of Memoryhead looks like phone
-”Another Him” uses Giygas soundfont
-Gaster seems to be heavily inspired by Uboa from Yume Nikki and Giygas from Earthboud
-Giygas and Gaster have a machines tied to them. Both are strongly associated with the theme of the devil and prayers.
HIS CREATION = BLACK HOLE:
-“A jump into a black hole is a one-way trip. Black holes are regions of space where gravity is so strong that nothing can escape them, not even light. Even before you reach the event horizon – the point of no return – you would be “spaghettified” by the black hole's tidal forces.” -Supernova
-You fall into a Black Hole
-“Of course, no matter what type of black hole you plunge into, you're ultimately going to get torn apart by its extreme gravity and die a horrible death. No material that falls inside a black hole could survive intact.” - Spacendbeyondthebox
-is everywhere at the same time - after being torn apart
-“Negative Photons reading”
-He was scattered across time and space
-theory made by Reddit user Garble365:
“in Interstellar (the sci-fi movie), Cooper falls into a blackhole, and he gets access to every place in the universe, in this infinitely small blackhole. Basically he is everywhere, at the same time. He can look at his daughter and hear her. But he cannot speak to her with his voice, the sound doesn't reach her due to some reason. So he resolves to knocking a few books in a bookshelf in his daughter's bedroom. Her daughter thought it was a ghost, being small. When she grew up, she realizes it was morse code in the form of books being knocked over. It was her father. He was speaking with his hand”
VIRUS CONNECTIONS:
- causes the files to become corrupted - the characters go insane after the meeting
-“The virus starts propagating, which is multiplying and replicating itself. The virus places a copy of itself into other programs” - Wikipedia
EGG CONNECTIONS:
- mysteryman head shape
- Scientists/intellectual people are called Eggheads
- Humpty Dumpty Reference
- Eggs given by the Man - possible Gaster pieces?
-The eggs stick together into one piece
-eggs break the game's fourth wall and move between save files
-When you drop an egg it says "what egg?" as if it doesn't exist
GERSON AND GASTER CONNECTIONS
-They were both replaced by Alphys after they left
-They are both highly respected by the people
-Religion references - Gerson’s son is priest
-Gaster in tarot card deck was replaced by Gerson
-GERSON is an anagram of the word GONERS
-Gerson in Undertale has knowledge that other monsters do not have
GASTER’S THEME:
-Gaster Blaster looks like Turtle skull
DRAGON CONNECTIONS
-Noelle is playing dragon blazer's 3. She is currently at the snow drake.
- Gaster blaster resembles a dragon's skull and the "beams" could easily be snow, similar to the snow grave spell
- "knight knight" who has a strange reoccurring motifs of day, nights, and dreams. Her sprite is labeled as a dragon
-susie's axe, which is said to be made of a dragon's mane. Implying that susie herself is a dragon
“must.Him.Ogg”
Another Him

Scarlet Forest
Card Castle
Rouxls Kaard
Chaos King
The Circus
The World Revolving

CHAPTER 9
FILE 08
No Turning Back
((( Read chapter 9 with this music, BEETHOVEN - "Moonlight" Sonata, 1st Movement - 432 Hz - (Piano Rendition )))
To catch a killer, you must think like one—even become one yourself. This was the game Sans and Rays had started. There wasn’t much Sans could do to win, or so he thought. He wandered along Snowdin, leaving his brother behind and brushing off the snow that clung to him.
Unfortunately, this was no dream. Sans walked as though he were devoid of a soul, his gaze distant and unfocused, yet his mind fixated on one thing ahead. The bitter truth that he alone could act freely left an acrid taste in his mouth. He closed his eyes and braced himself to accept the tragic reality.
“If this is how you’ve chosen to start the game, then I’ll have to play along.”
Sans thought of various scenarios that could either support him or throw him into the abyss. Every plan led him to a dark place he had always avoided, observing it only from a distance. But now, there were no limits holding him back; the path that sacrificed his morals was wide open.
“Goodbye, Sans,” he said sincerely. He accepted the consequences. Welcome to his new self—he must walk a bloody path and leave the light behind.
“Frisk, where are you now, hm?”
He could use that human, and also... another figure, one who shared the same form as that human. The queen who had a throne in the shadowy realm of this world.
“Chara, I can’t wait to meet you.”
Thanks to Rays, Sans knew the ins and outs of the Undertale world, even the existence of a figure capable of rendering the player powerless and forcing them to obey their will. Chara, the hidden figure known only to Frisk and Flowey. Sans had to find them both for his success—by force or not at all.
Sans didn’t realize it. But the smile—or rather, the smirk—was the same as Rays’—unconsciously forming on his face. There was horror in it, shaped by resolve and a deep despair that felt like thunder, ready to strike and destroy its prey from the hidden depths.
Sans moved with lighter steps than usual. Instead of rejecting his worst side, this time, he embraced it with open arms. The dark mist that followed him from behind now supported his body, strengthening him with the satisfaction of breaking free from the chains that had kept him away from his darkest side.
Sans arrived at his favorite spot—Waterfall. The place was, as usual, quiet and peaceful—relieving the tension in his shoulders with a panorama of shimmering blue light, like magical crystals. It was truly a sight for sore eyes, and it was so beautiful. The calm flow of the water and the blooming echo flowers around him made his mind more serene—Sans felt the negative emotions that had been pressing on him start to evaporate like water, soothing him with the stillness of the atmosphere.
Suddenly, he heard the whisper of the flowers, whispering words he had said in the past: “not ready for the responsibility.” And Sans immediately chuckled as he heard his past ramblings once again.
Usually, Sans would be disturbed by such whispers. But this time, Sans didn’t feel bothered at all. He felt “free” in a way that was different from usual. Sans wasn’t pushed into that dark abyss; instead, he reached into it and took control of it.
Control. Sans felt a complete sense of control over his mind—for the first time.
The whispers of the echo flowers were now just a trivial matter that didn’t bother him at all.
***
The old park bench was there as always, looking worn and untouched. He slumped into it and spoke aloud.
“Hey, Rays.”
No response greeted him.
“I know you’re watching me, and that’s incredibly unfair, isn’t it?”
Again, silence. But Sans knew for certain that Rays was listening and, no doubt, grinning widely right now.
“Give me 15 days. Don’t watch me—just 15 days. I know you can manage that.”
This time, Sans waited for a response from Rays.
Suddenly, the ground in front of him began to shift, forming letters that spelled out:
“Say please. Use the magic word, Sans.”
Of course, it wouldn’t be that easy, Sans thought, his already tangled thoughts growing heavier. He would have to give Rays what he wanted—or there would be no privacy to keep his plans hidden. Revenge—it all came down to that. Sans had insulted Rays too many times, and now Rays demanded payback for the blow to his pride. Sans had anticipated this. He knew Rays would make his move sooner or later.
Sans let out a long sigh, preparing himself to say those unpleasant words—while Rays waited patiently, holding a bucket of popcorn in his hands. Sans knew how much Rays enjoyed moments like this.
He braced himself, his mouth unwilling to form the words. But he had to force them out. He had to say that damned word. To achieve his victory, Sans had to step out of his comfort zone and lower his head once again to the demon eagerly awaiting his moment of downfall.
Sans lowered his head and spoke with a tone that betrayed his frustration. “I... I beg you.”
And then—
“Pfft—”
Sans immediately looked up when he heard the voice he hated so much, now sounding so close to him. His eyes met the figure looking at him with a mocking expression, trampling on his pride. But it wasn't the usual Rays—this figure was human-shaped, wearing the same clothes but with a different face. "Really?"
“You hate it when I use your face, don’t you? So, I decided to take on a much more handsome human form than yours. How do you like it?” He smiled widely, waiting for a compliment or a displeased response from Sans. Rays didn’t actually care which response he’d get; he simply wanted to enjoy seeing how Sans would be affected by his significant change in appearance.
On the other hand, Sans didn’t know how long this foolish behavior of Rays would continue. He knew that Rays wouldn’t stop just because he said the words he wanted to hear. There had to be something else. For that reason, Sans chose to respond indifferently. “I don’t know, what do you think? I’m not good with fashion.”
And Rays had already predicted this trivial response from Sans. “What a pity. I spent a long time deciding on a face that could impress you, Sans.” To that, Sans chuckled and responded. “Must be disappointing.”
“A little. I wasn’t expecting anything from you.”
Sans quickly turned his gaze toward the crystals embedded in the rocky walls, shining brightly. Rays saw that Sans had already lost interest in the conversation and immediately went to the bench, searching for an empty spot to sit. Sans didn’t show any sign of being bothered when Rays sat beside him; he only displayed a thick indifference. He propped his face in his hands, allowing the silence to dominate the place. Eventually, Rays broke the silence. “I think... hm, still not enough. Yeah, yeah, very unsatisfactory.” Rays leaned his body, grinning widely. “About your begging earlier, you weren't sincere about it, Sans. I'm very disappointed.”
Sans sighed inwardly. He rolled his eyes with a slight exhale of frustration.
“What now?” Sans continued staring at the Echo flowers beside him.
Rays didn’t answer immediately. However, a few seconds later, he finally responded...
“Kneel.”
Sans couldn’t hide his shocked expression. He felt a sting that quickly flowed towards his amygdala. Sans felt his entire soul and mind go into an incredibly terrifying shock. One word felt like a tremendous explosion—Rays was expecting the worst for him, and it would continue to happen in the future. Praying was futile; Sans had to accept his bad fate and surrender his dignity.
“… If that’s what you want.”
Rays immediately smiled with satisfaction, observing Sans who had surrendered his dignity. Reluctantly, of course. The expression of satisfaction was demeaning to Sans, a celebration of a temporary victory that felt bitter and sour.
“Let it begin, Sans.”
Sans stood up immediately, walking towards Rays with heavy steps. He was grateful that it was just him and Rays here; he didn’t want to show his destruction to the many eyes that could be watching him.
Lowering his right foot with his head bowed, his body felt extremely heavy to move—it felt like his back was being crushed by a one-ton stone. His heart’s reluctance held him back from submitting to Rays’s power, but he had to release that pressure and surrender himself to his lowest point. Kneeling before Rays, his worst enemy.
His hands reached the dirty ground, with all the subconscious rejection trying to preserve his dignity. Sans raised his face and looked at Rays with a fiery spark in both of his eyes. “I beg you,” Sans said the two words that felt like deadly poison, like filth coming out of his mouth. His neck bones seemed to tighten with the sour taste that pierced his tongue.
And finally...
“HAHA! Well, look at that, I’ll remember this beautiful moment well.”
Rays started clapping joyfully, his eyes sparkling with satisfaction that fueled his excitement. He was thoroughly enjoying it. His expression looked like the satisfaction of a king enjoying a gladiator arena in the Coliseum, wiping his cheek with the flowing blood. The emotion of being humiliated was held at the tip of Sans’s throat; he restrained himself, tightening his hands. He slowly extinguished the fire within his soul, swallowing the explosion that was about to erupt.
“Well, you can stand now. I’m satisfied. This was very fun.”
Sans immediately stood, looking at his knees covered in sand and dirt. He then looked at Rays, who was still sitting in the chair like a dictator. His yellow and red eyes resembled a hunter pitying its prey and releasing it again due to a wave of boredom.
“15 days, huh. Alright, I’ll close my eyes for those 15 days.” Rays squinted his eyes, “It will surely be very boring, but that’s the interesting challenge. I can’t wait to see how your plan goes, Sans.” Sans wiped his hands and knees, looking at Rays with a somewhat annoyed face, but still holding himself back. “Yeah, you’ll have to wait. That’s the fun part, I have to prepare the best surprise for you.”
Rays immediately grinned, just thinking about something very interesting.
“You know, Sans.” Rays patted his left side, signaling Sans to sit back down, and Sans compiled without saying anything.
“I’ll give you a gift.”
“A gift?”
Rays opened his right hand, a spark of fire appeared in his hand like fireworks. “Access.” His eyes widened as a collection of numbers circled around the sparks, like a spectacular firework display. Then Rays spoke again, “I’ll let you have access to one NPC of your choice,” he then stared at Sans, who looked confused, “One NPC who will become your companion, your friend, or even your slave. It’s up to you what you want to do with that NPC. I’ll grant you access to become the master of the NPC you choose. How about it?”
Sans was shocked—he stared at Rays with disbelief. Is he serious? he thought in confusion.
What’s gotten into Rays? What is he planning? What’s his goal in doing this? All these questions piled up in his mind like a jumbled tower of blocks. However, Sans didn’t get any answers—no, he didn’t need to question it. Gaining “access” was a gift that couldn’t be refused—not when he was in such a broken state with so few options left.
“So?” Rays glanced at Sans, already knowing what Sans’s answer would be.
“That’s quite a spectacular gift. I accept it.”
Sans smiled, looking at Rays with a determined gaze.
“Now that’s more like it!”
And without hesitation, Rays grabbed Sans’s wrist tightly, a burning sensation immediately spread intensely. Sans couldn’t see because of the sudden explosion of light that blinded his eyes. He could feel something creeping into his body and mind. He felt an unusual freshness, his mind felt scrambled, and his soul trembled violently as if his heartbeat was racing fast, pumping the entire shock through him, creating chaos that left him feeling powerless.
Sans didn’t know what was happening. He felt convulsions, and it felt as though he were blind.
And at that moment, as his entire mind and body went into an intense shock, Sans felt that he could no longer feel anything, like numbness, and his legs weakened. This feeling was the same as when Rays gave him all the information about Undertale, only this time, it was more brutal, truly shocking, and panic-inducing.
Until finally...
“Get up, lazybones.”
Sans panicked, opening his eyes. He was no longer sitting in his chair, but instead, he was lying on the floor in a very disordered state. And, “Rays?” Sans’s eyes searched in all directions but found no one except himself in that place. It seemed, oh, it seemed that the demon was no longer there, vanished without a trace. Leaving Sans on the ground and returning to his throne.
“... Bastard.”
Sans staggered, his legs trembling, feeling incredibly exhausted. His breath came in short gasps, his energy dangerously low. He felt so weak and crawled to the bench, leaning his back against it with a long sigh.
“Well, at least he kept his promise … a fair game, huh.”
***
Sans walked through Waterfall, not enjoying the beautiful scenery surrounding him. His eyes were scanning for the figure he had targeted. He accepted Rays's gift, even though he knew that Rays had no intention of helping him. He's not a good person willing to help his opponent, Sans is not that naive to think that Rays have the heart to think of something good and moral. Rays only wanted to spice things up with more surprises. It's the only thing that makes him feel alive, and not a program that has no taste whatsoever-a loser bemoaning his fate, and since Rays couldn't watch him for 15 days, it left him guessing about what Sans would plan.
And eventually, not long after, he found the person he wanted, Frisk of course. However....
“He's fighting Undyne, huh.”
Sans hadn't realized that the game was being played by a player during his meeting with Rays. He stood at a safe distance, silently observing their battle, and suddenly, a thought crossed his mind, disturbing him.
A surge he had never felt before, like a gentle stroke on his back. Whispering cruel words in a calm tone, he felt a sense of peace yet faint fear. He had strayed far from his usual self; this time, the dark abyss had reached out, grabbing his hand and holding him tightly.
"Welcome," it said. Sans closed his eyes, letting his body drift further away into it, far from the person he once was.
“… Maybe it’s worth trying,” he whispered.
The first step for Sans was to step onto his darkest path.
He stared intently at one of them, the sharp tip of a bone as sharp as a knife protruding into the air, waiting for blood to flow from its tip. It was a very wrong step, Sans realized that. But there was no other way; he had to do it. He couldn't hesitate, or he would meet the end of his defeat again—his morals had been shattered into pieces. What lay before Sans’s eyes was just a collection of code, NPCs that had no life, not even understanding their own world. That was what he tried to see in Undyne—he didn’t want to see her the way he used to.
Sans denied his old self and stood with his new one.
Sans wouldn't back down, he would cross that treacherous path.
“I’m sorry.”
A barrage of hundreds of bones shot quickly, impaling its target mercilessly, tearing it apart like sheets of paper scattered in the air. Sans stood helpless as he witnessed one of his friends die by his own hands. Undyne, dead quickly, unable to react or even understand why she deserved that brutal death. The blood flowed, soaking his body... It felt like drowning in a pool of mud filled with blood. Sans surrendered himself, letting himself sink deeper into it.
Sans knew his actions were terribly wrong. He didn't deserve forgiveness.
But Sans accepted it. There were things that needed to be sacrificed. And that was his feelings, his friend, and the old version of himself. No more of the humorous Sans, the prosecutor had been brought down from his seat of power, stained with sins that could never be cleansed.
“Heh, so this is what it feels like.”
Seeing the illusion of blood staining his hands, Sans smiled widely and exhaled.
“Truly disgusting.”

Do you think there has been any notable change in quality from Case Files to Adventures? (Positive or Negative)
It's difficult to compare because Case Files tries to start episodic while Adventures is one long-term plotline from the start. In a way, Adventures works better as a mystery because the seeds are planted since volume 1, while Case Files makes you work only with the contents of each arc even after Heartless is established.
Even then, Sanda's mystery quality is still inconsistent. Latio got a lot of screentime in volume one, but none of it touched what would later become the core of her character, aside from her feeling bothered by Tangere calling her "Miss", which is not really a fair hint that Sans Undertale is a copy of her brother. Volume 1 does treat her ancestor as the real Crudelis villain, which proves true, but the setup required for this twist leaves both characters devoid of meaningful characterization.
But then right next to it, we have Ziz, whose old hints click so neatly. Ergo is described since volume 1 as a product of Crudelis's obsession, Wuzhiqi's curiosity, and Ziz's hatred. But Ziz's action don't feel hateful when we see him. He does a theatrical dance to make Waver oppose the other two masterminds, he appears totally plastered and gambles with Akane for Typhon-analogue's vessel, he throws riddles at Waver and invites him to play the Casa, he has sex with random women in Monaco to make a family to secure his land. At every point, the supposed hatred-driven Ziz appears as someone who accomplishes his goals through pragmatic means made to superficially appear fun-loving. That, in itself, fells pragmatic in the way makes Ziz's personality recognizable to Van-Fem, maybe. I genuinely believe Ziz's outward laxness and gambler spirit are him emulating the man he genuinely was before the end of the Age of Gods made him hate the world.
The way this look back at Ziz's character makes him more consistent and interesting is something you can't really do much with the characters resolved by Case Files, except maybe the Adashino siblings, which are not characters I care much about (although I'd probably feel a lot more positive about Heartless and Faker rereading Grand Roll now that I'm resigned to the fact Sanda will never keep Iskandar away from plot instead of heatedly rejecting it like the first time).

Horny game review #3: Lust Doll+. I did an informal summary in another post, but this is going to be my FULL ramble. Not very spoiler-free, but I do not recommend going into this game blind.
Quick summary if you didn't see my other ramble: Lust Doll+ is a scifi/fantasy RPG. You are a "doll" who wakes from a test tube in a post-apocalyptic wasteland full of monsters and furries (and also humans but who cares about those guys). It's a perfect mix of magic, tech, rpg tropes, and so much sex.
Okay so this game sucks. BAD. But sadly I'm obsessed (source: my 35+ hour main save file). Let me go over everything terrible first so you can understand my conflicted opinions.
First and most obvious issue: the art. Now look, this is a game made entirely by one guy, I get it, I'm not expecting AAA graphics here. It's a dinky top-down RPG and it's not even made in RPGmaker. But the overworld is literally just colored squares. And i don't mean like pixel art. It is just a gridmap. The vaguest suggestion of an environment. If you want to play this game, you gotta have a wildly vivid imagination like me cause it is 90% narration doing all the work. That last 10% is the character sprites, which are in a basic anime style with a noticeable lack of hands. All the characters look straight out of a How To Draw Anime book you'd find on clearance at Michaels. It is nothing to write home about. But hey I respect it! This game is updates twice a month! Whatever works!
Some of the questlines are also reminiscent of old confusing adventure games. You will absolutely find yourself lost on what to do next at some point. I always play with the wiki open on the side, it's very well-maintained. There is an NPC who will give subtle hints in-game for a small fee, but they're so well-hidden you'll need the wiki to find them anyways.
Now the actual complaints. The content of the game. This game has a huge list of kinks and fetishes it covers, I won't even try listing them all, it's got TONS (but no robots 😔). And a good amount of those are optional content! The game has a whole menu called The Sanctum you can access at any time to turn kinks on and off as you please! That's a big plus, I love that part! But there's still plenty you can't avoid.
Due to how gameplay works, noncon is entirely unavoidable. It's a battle fuck game. Do not even touch this game if you can't handle things being done to you or doing things to other people without consent. That's the whole point. There's no safeword (except for a small section of the game where you can engage in actual safe bdsm scenes. that part has a safeword).
There's also a lot of racism?? Like just the most fetishy representation you can imagine. There's two whole questlines late-game that are kinda uncomfortable, and one NPC early on that is required to interact with for a quest. If you're looking for games with good representation, this is NOT it. Not even close. And I'm still gonna talk good about this game, I'm sorry, but my standards are SO low for these games. I'm just glad I finally found a free porn game with ZERO incest or underage stuff. That part is truly miraculous.
Another essential warning: don't bother with the "trap/femboy" setting. It is as bad as it sounds. It affects one very minor character who is not worth the effort to find, the story literally forces you to be transphobic to them, it is so bad. The futa setting, on the other hand, has tons of content, and it's not the worst out there? Like it's for sure not good trans rep, or trans rep at all, i promise you none of the characters in this game identify as trans except for one confirmed nb shopkeep, but hey. It's something! I'll go into this in full, but so much of the game is so casual about gender and sexuality, those few weird sections really stand out. Good news is, these scenes can at least be turned off in the menu if they make you uncomfortable.
Okay. That's all the big negatives. Now let's talk good.
This game is like the undertale of porn rpgs. Every encounter has two options: fighting and fucking. The battle system is built upon these two bars, a classic HP meter, and a pink lust meter. Certain actions will do physical damage, lust damage, or a mix of both ;) As the pink bar fills, you'll get stat debuffs, and once it's full, you are forced to surrender out of desperation and left at the mercy of your opponent. And yes, all enemies have this too. I have found one enemy in the whole game you can't at least try to fuck your way past. Most have multiple options for "finishing" scenes if you win, and usually one "defeat" scene if they take you out. Also (pretty far into the game) there's a competitive sex minigame. Check out The Island it's very fun.
[a meme i made upon first finding the island]
Beyond battle sex, there's also sooo many options for casual sex with the many NPCs. The game will ask what sort of genders you're interested in, but look, if you're exclusively into dating men? Do not expect much. There is One properly romancable man and he cums on sight (Also the way his storyline currently ends he might not be a man?) So many romancable women tho! And some male enemies you can fuck in the battle system! And everyone is very bisexual!
Since we're covering sexuality, let's talk the player character's gender options. There's four pronoun options (he, she, they, and it) and So. Much. Body. Customization. They will let you do Anything. AND, throughout the game, there's tons of options to switch things up! As someone who plays porn games like a completionist, the fact that I can have boobs, a vagina, and a dick, all at the same time, allowing me to access Every Sex Scene in one save file is just perfect. There's even exclusive "both" sex scenes, and characters are very cool about it like its no big deal. And, only occasional pronoun fuckups in narration! With all the text in this game, I'm not surprised some things slip through. Other than that, character customization is pretty good, for human and nonhuman options. Not the most extensive furry options I've seen, and someone on the wiki keeps complaining about the lack of ferret options, but still plenty you can do. There's also tattoo and piercing options once you're in the game!
Clothing options are honestly disappointing in my opinion, and also the weapon options, which is weird for an rpg. I wound up just grinding my strength stat real high so i can take everything out with my bare hands. It looks better aesthetically and saves my ass if i forget to equip something (its very easy to forget to equip something).
I'm gonna add a section here to just mention all the stupid facts and tips I have. There's a whole pregnancy mechanic (optional), that goes all the way through giving birth, but since the dev hasn't added a way to settle down and raise children yet, your baby just gets put into adoption and everyone pretends it never happened. There's a quest where you have to find cowfolk throughout the world and recruit them to your farm to produce more milk (good health item + money source). Customize your character's default expression, it's a really minor thing but it adds a lot of personality. You can get arrested if you jack off in public bathrooms too much, and i recommend you don't do that, the cop character sucks and you should avoid her as much as possible, acab. If you take a very specific amount of steps before going to sleep, you will have The Dream and unlock your Hidden Desire, which allows some bonus (very silly) interactions with NPCs. The Mpreg status effect was recently renamed to Ass Pregnant, because it can happen to anyone, regardless of gender. Diversity Win.
You will surely hear more about this game from me. But that us all for now. Fanart was posted separate because I wrote a Lot, but thanks for reading anyways :]
#cfr talks games#cfr talks ick#lust doll plus#if i tried to tag every weird kink i mention in this post. this would be a dictionary just Beware.#i like including images in my textposts cause they pop up in the notifications.#now i get to see the competative sex meme everytime someone likes this post

Sans' True Judgement
I've been thinking about the whole "Sans reacts to Papyrus' death" thing, since I've seen the DiscourseTM about it surface again recently (for the record, I like this interpretation), and it got me thinking about how we don't see said reaction. And I think that's important.
Warning: Kinda Big Post, Speculation, Opinions, Negative Framing Of The Player (I don't actually think you're a bad person if you killed Papyrus)
I'm sure we all know by now that Sans is very good at figuring out the player's "deal" with relatively little information, and is at least somewhat aware of the SAVE file, enough to put two and two together on several occasions. One of these is when you kill Papyrus.
If you play Undertale while not knowing about the whole SPAREing situation, then you'll end up killing a lot of monsters in self defense; the Froggit that explains SPAREing doesn't appear if you kill the first Froggit, and Toriel's battle actively obscures the SPARE method unless you've already killed her once. But while the likes of Flowey and Undyne will call you out for your actions, Sans' Judgement is comparatively forgiving; he explains the situation clearly, then invites you to reflect. No finger pointing, no anger. (Plus, he continues to joke around with you throughout the game regardless of your kill count, iirc)
In contrast, Papyrus' battle gives you every out possible: Papyrus will NEVER kill you (not even by accident, TORIEL), instantly stopping his attacks at lethal health and sending you to the Easily Escapable Shed. Do this three times, and he'll even let you skip his battle entirely if you want. He also ALWAYS SPAREs you; if you whittle down his health with attacks, he skips to his Really Cool Regular Attack two hits away from death, and SPAREs you on the next turn, taking the moment to clearly outline your option to SPARE him, too.
Sans knows his brother, so he likely also knows all this as well. So at this point, if you refuse to get on the uptake and choose to kill Papyrus anyway, then "misunderstanding" and "self-defense" stop being viable explanations. Sans knows, beyond any reasonable doubt, that you know what you're doing, and you don't care.
Sans does eventually make his feelings known at the end of the game, long after the dust has settled; At the Last Corridor, he points out the special power you wield and questions you on the responsibility you're squandering, and in the Post-Game call, he usually gives you one last reminder of your crimes, something he doesn't really do if Paps is alive, even in the dire King Papyrus Ending.
But before this? The rest of the game? The moment of the crime when his grief is no doubt strongest? He simply doesn't engage. And why should he? He knows what you are now, and he knows that any kind of reaction is precisely what you want. You're here to "see what happens", after all. Sans doesn't fight the player in the Genocide Route out of vengeance, but because of the existental threat posed by The Demon Who Comes When People Call It's Name, should this path be completed. But on a Neutral Route? There's no need, or point, in confronting you, so he simply doesn't, denying you your precious Sans angst content.
THIS, is Sans' true revenge on the player. You killed his brother, so he hurts you in the only way that matters. You don't GET to know how Sans feels. You've already proved you don't care.

Oliver Fox's mildy physcotic Undertale/Deltarune Ramblings
Ok i have an insane undertale/deltarune theory regarding Gaster and ik this blog has mostly been random shit but i REALLY REALLY wanna say this so deal with it
What The Hell was the creation Gaster fell into?
As you know, the only "creation" that we know Gaster made fully was the CORE in Hotland, and it can be inferred from the Gaster Followers that he fell into the CORE somehow. But the Followers words are just vague enough to leave room for interpretation.
It can also be inferred that Gaster created the blueprints that Alphys used to create the Determination Extractor, seeing as, when she refers to the blueprints in the entries in the True Lab, she only calls them the blueprints. Not my blueprints, the, thus implying that she didn't create them. Seeing as Gaster was the only other known royal scientist in the Underground, and blueprints don't just spawn out of anywhere, it's safe to assume Gaster made them.
It's also theorized that Gaster was expirmenting with Darkness, as shown in Entry 17. I think that, Perhaps, in the wake of Deltarune, this was not normal darkness, but Darkness. The kind that creates *cough cough* Dark Worlds. Ones that can be created by Determined Enough Beings.
I'm getting there, hang tight.
MY THEORY GOES THUSLY;
Gaster created the Determination Extractor before Alphys.
Ik that is a CRAZY conclusion to leap to and there's no evidence but for the purposes of this ramble, you gotta just go with me. Besides, it would be unlike a scientist of such high standing to not create prototypes. And this happened in the in-world past of the Underground that we know not much about, so there isn't enough evidence for this to be proven nor disproven. Again, just go with me.
SO, Gaster created some kind of Determination Extractor Prototype, drawing out the blueprints and leaving them for Alphys to find later.
Determination (as we know) is the force that allows being with strong enough Souls to create Save Files and Reset, as well as create Dark Worlds, in Deltarunes case. And, because of Toby Fox's monumentally clever writing skills which I envy every day, he made Saving and Loading diegetic to Undertale's plot, even going so far as to making Floweys entire backstory an in-world stand-in for players who detach themselves from the world of the game. Meaning that Determination has a direct in-universe link to the game's code and inner workings.
But why, dear Captain Oliver, I hear you cry, did you mention Gaster's experiments with Darkness and their connections to the creation of Dark Fountains and Worlds?
Well I'm getting to that so hold your horses.
I think, using the Determination he had harvested with the Extractor, Gaster created some kind of Dark World, (perhaps we are shown this in Entry 17 with the line "photon readings negative, which implies the photons are emiting darkness, which has been shown possible in Dealtarune every time Kris and Susie find a new Dark World,) and I think THAT is what he fell into.
But perhaps this Dark World was unstable, created not by a steady supply of raw Determination from one being but rather a amalgam (heh) of dozens of monsters from all over the Underground, and when Gaster fell, the Fountain sealed or exploded in some way, destroying the Extractor and shattering his consciousness across time and space.
Or perhaps, rather, files and code.
Since having video game logic is diegetic to Undertale's plot, perhaps their version of "time and space" for us is just lines of code and flies. And perhaps, Gaster being "shattered across time and space" only meant that he had become integrated into the games code.
That's why we only know about Gaster's existence through a few testing rooms, random NPC encounters and unused files. We can only find these things if we dig around through the Code of Undertale, something Gaster has become intimately familiar with.
SO, ALL THAT TO SAY;
I think Gaster, from his strange not-quite-Dark-World created the files and code for Deltarune, seeing as every time a new chapter releases Toby's twitter account is possessed by the good doctor, and its heavily implied that the Goner Maker sequence is just Gaster talking to the player. For unknown motives, Gaster created Deltarune, the Prohpecy, and Dark Worlds for us, the Player for, again, unknown motives.
I feel like that's all I want to say on the matter. I could go on about Ralsei's weird knowledge of Dark Fountains and Noelles weird connections to the good ol' mystery man and the disappearance of Dess but it's already almost 2 in the morning and that would definitely be overdoing it.
If you are reading this and haven't had an aneurysm, I applaud you and thank you for indulging me.

Mistful!Sans has his full name is “Mistful the fallen hero”
Which is means he is one of the bad guys but has lots of negative energy from the genocide where the wraith gave him with this power makes him feel stronger and determined to do whatever he can to make Dark hopes and he makes challenges with each character he fights like “Nightmare!sans” if Nightmare wins mistful will accept it if not then he’ll finish him off and the wraith I was taking to was the name of “Gaster” because he was the one who found out about the genocide run on “98 genocide run” so Gaster used his intelligent mind to contact sans to meet him on the mysterious door like “Last Breath” But it is different than usual Gaster has created the power of darkness & Corruption if sans refuses than the genocide run will always continue to the human but Sans was having no choice but to accept it so he did so Gaster gave it to him and made him Evil inside and Changed his clothes after from the Negative energy made him look different and the white eyes changes into blue with the Negative energy he can now summon weapon as a Negative energy he uses which is a sword he has so when he managed to destroy the human by Corrupting the save files where the human resets he took over the Judgement hall and made it as his home here to live

Really funny comparing Eric to Ezra, because Ezra was initially (and in some ways still is) kind of cringe fail, because I wanted Ezra to have the default me3 worldstate because I played mass effect 3 first and a lot of times before I finally got into the trilogy, and so I'd spent a lot of time writing and imagining for that world state. (Right now I'm realizing I honestly kind of miss it; It's all very clear in my mind, some of those lines of dialogue more heavily embedded in my mind than the trilogy playthrough ones. Wreav almost feels more natural than Wrex, for example, and I remember all of his lines quite clearly).
And also at the time I had my "canon" "perfect" trilogy playthrough with my Garnet Shepard who romanced Liara and I wanted to diversify from that (I think I actually named the save file "Frisk" because I couldn't think up a good name and I was really into Undertale at the time, and it felt like a good name for what was literally just intended to be a first perfect paragon playthrough not necessarily roleplay heavy)
But I ended up growing really attached to Ezra, which was no real surprise because I fully intended him to be like, sort of my last main Shepard that I approached with full trilogy knowledge, as evidenced by the fact that he was the one to romance Steve who was always my favorite and canon romance (I think I made Miles thinking he'd be my main Shepard as I planned to romance Kaidan and expected to finally Get It and like him more than Steve like everyone else, but that didn't happen). But I didn't expect to grow so attached to the new world state so much that I wanted Ezra to have it, and went back to make some changes...now I can't imagine playing Ezra without Wrex. And I'm wondering if I should just do something similar with Eric, let him be a little cutthroat and trigger happy and make decisions that leave people unhappy, but I don't have to pick every negative dialogue option that makes him a bit of an ass.

Women did women's work and men didn't.
No help, no thank you!
(OKAY DONE THE HEAVY SNIPPET)
Easy Breezy! (Undertale au six skeletons style):
Harvey took another sip before handing the thermos back to the shivering labourer.
"Eh, ya probably deserved it, Jeff. You're always running yer mouth. I'm surprised The Captain hasn't revoked your workers pass with how many pink slips you've had filed against ya!" Harvey teased a hand draped over the back of his seat as he craned back, "Yer lucky the guard took a likin' to Trouble's cooking or they may have dusted you for that last scuffle." this earned Harvey a smack, but he only chuckled roughly, "Don't glare at me, Trouble! You do a lot of good cooking at that bar day an' night."
Experiments On the Run (Undertale AU babybones):
She steeled herself and turned her next wimper into words that seeped venom.
"You aren't taking them back, Doctor. I will die before I let that happen." She twisted in his grip but his hands came up to restrain her.
The hand on her shoulder tensed.
"I think...you are mistaken."
That wasn't his voice.
Easy Breezy! (Undertale au six skeletons style):
She flitted back towards the kitchen and returned with that same agile movement with a sizable mug.
"Black as night and hot as molten rock." She said with another dip forward as she stepped back folding her hands in front of her. "The usual Captain?" She asked sweetly.
Receiving a gruff noise of acquiescence she once again returned to the kitchen with that odd buoyant grace in her step.

English isn’t my first language, sorry in case of misspelling.
BACKSTORY AND THE GLITCH:
Basic is an attempt of an AU Sans. Imagine that you’re creating a universe on your computer: writing, drawing, maybe even coding it. But suddenly your computer glitches because of a virus, and you lose all the files you created.
Basic is this, a file who should’ve got lost but survived by miracle. Oh well… not a miracle. The virus/glitch is inside of him like a parasite, and uses him like a host to survive before the computer has shut down. Luckily Basic has his own mind and can control his body, but sometimes the virus/glitch takes over:
For self defense it takes control over Basic’s body making him attack other people. Especially when someone new approaches Basic or when he’s severely injured.
When Basic is too nervous (in a negative way) he crashes to regain calm. It will take maybe some seconds or maybe minutes to reboot.
But what else The Glitch (as Basic calls it) caused him? He, being incomplete, doesn’t have a full code. It’s full of missing parts! But he can fill those holes with other codes or other Sanses’ codes to shape-shift and look like them [More about shape-shifting here] and yes, that’s why he’s called Basic!Sans :D
He, because of his incomplete code, doesn’t have a text box that looks like everyone’s else. His font isn’t Sans’ one, he uses “Determination Mono” like every other character (all lowercase). Sometimes he says random sentences from Undertale.
He can use all Classic!Sans' type of attacks. His Gaster Blasters are like classic ones, but the beam is white and they have no eyelights (these are shown only when he shoots, they're white). When the blasters get summoned they glitch. When Basic use his shortcuts he leaves a skein of glitches in the place where he was before (they're harmless, you can get trough them easily).
PERSONALITY:
Childish, he might look naive but he won't let anyone push him around, he'll make himself get respected. Kind, but he worries too much for others. He likes to look at the positive side of things, he want's everybody to be happy.
OTHER FUN FACTS:
He’s ambidextrous.
He doesn’t know how to make puns because of his poor dictionary, but he loves them.
He loves strawberry smoothie.
He watches cartoons from other universe's TVs, his favorite one is Steven Universe.
His birthday is the 17th of July, the day I created him (in 2020). He has no specific age. He's physically a 20 years old Sans.
You can see The Glitch in it’s pure form into Basic’s ribcage (it’s just a skein of glitches).
He can see the code of everything and everyone (if they have one).
If he gets called Sans he becomes really happy and embarrassed, though he prefers to get called Basic.
He will try to copy Classic!Sans' behavior sometimes, all the characters from the original timeline are like his idols.
He's homosexual and he's paired with Ruby!Sans by @masterofaus/@rubytale-chapter2 :D
Sorry if it’s not easy to understand. Please ask me if you’re confused about anything (*^▽^*)

Debunking my own Deltarune Theory: The Old Chair
In my time as a Deltarune Theorist (trying to make it sound like this is my job) I’ve made some pretty bunk theories, either based on dumb assumptions, jumping the gun with missing evidence, etc. The worst is probably the one where I didn’t even really give a second thought to the Knight being anyone but Gaster, at this point I believe them to be seperate but y’know. But the one I wanna take time to tear apart is the one on The Old Chair because I’ll be honest it’s just like. A random connection I made in five seconds. With a lot of holes. Let’s look at those holes!
Let’s get the most important thing out of the way:
These are not the same fucking chair.
Like just look at them okay. I don’t know what else to say. They’re obviously different. Black legs instead of blue, square top instead of rounded. And there’s the fact that when Toby wants to show something from Undertale he WILL just reuse the same sprite.
Credit to Spriter’s Resource hi Spriter’s Resource I love you.
So okay. That kind of makes the whole theory bunk but let’s keep talking about it anyways. Another proposed theory I’ve seen is that it’s a chair from the hospital.
It’s... Closer. It’s at a different angle so that’d explain the sprite difference and the lighting difference can just be lighting obviously. And sure, even though most things in the Spamton Sweepstakes very obviously relate to Chapter 3, there’s nothing saying they do exclusively.
Is that conclusive? HELL NO!
And Speaking of things that aren’t conclusive, Seam’s warning about getting caught when the sun goes down isn’t very... Conclusive. What does that mean Seam. Are you just telling us to get home before dinner? Is something bad gonna happen in the dark world at night? What the hell is going on?? [Pretend I put an image of Kris doing the YIIK pose here]
The part where I start theory-ing again:
Heyyy it’s the Spamton banner. We missed you Spamton banner.
So what could Darker than Dark mean, exactly? Well I’d posit something but @snowysobsessions already posited it in this post which you should read right now or else the next paragraph isn’t gonna make sense go on read it do it.
So what it it could get darker than dark? I’d really love to see a secret boss sidequest involve creating a Neo Dark Fountain and then sealing it because you have to go to the Neo Dark World for something. Assuming there’s such thing as a Neo Dark World. I don’t think that’s going to happen at all but I do think it would be: Really Cool.
Here’s another random spitball. What if “What if it could get darker than dark” doesn’t actually refer to something we’re not already aware of? What if it just refers to the Dark Worlds? I mean, they’re already darker than dark, negative photon readings, can’t even see through them, warping reality somehow with how dark they are. What if this question was asked, by or to Gaster, before the infamous Entry No. 17? And the chair is like. I don’t know. A chair in his lab or something. I don’t know! I don’t know.
Let’s talk about the water thing while we’re here too.
I mentioned in an addendum to the chair post that the sound file that plays upon clicking on the chair is water.ogg, essentially the same water noises found in Waterfall’s trash zone in Undertale. But Deltarune has another, similar sound file, that also plays ocean-like noises, a bit more realistic ones, called ocean.ogg. Where does this play?
Upon entering the Dark World for the first time, cutting out just as Kris wakes up.
The fact that the dark fountains are called, well, FOUNTAINS, as well as the apparent relevance of the old song from the sea, it feels like there’s a definite theme of water going on in relation to the dark world. Why? Well... There’s not really enough evidence to say anything definitive.
Oh yeah, that guy.
This guy. Uh. Hm. In the last post I proposed that this could just be Spamton directing us away from things we aren’t meant to see. But honestly I don’t think so. The yellow and pink are on opposite sides from Spamton’s glasses, the same as IMAGE_FRIEND, the weird face from the mansion basement that follows the same filenaming scheme that is otherwise only used for “meta” aspects of the game (The gonermaker sequence, dogcheck, game over, the unused files of someone lost alone and calling for help). The filenames for this pair of eyes don’t give us much to work with, just eyes.png and face.ogg, but face.ogg is very notably not Spamton’s laugh. So I feel like we can rule it being Spamton off the table.
I know a lot of people have associated it with the TV guy, but I feel like this has to be bigger than just that. King and Queen weren’t built on the “meta” aspects of the game like this thing is. FRIEND and the TV both have big smiles, although FRIEND’s is notably bigger. Wilder.
With all these meta ties and direct connection to a page mentioning something darker than dark, something darker yet darker, I’m unfortunately only left able to ask “Could it be Gaster?”. Alternatively, someone we haven’t met yet related to Gaster. He did ask two people what they think, after all. But it’s all speculation at this point. Maybe it’s the fucking Knight. I don’t know. I really don’t know!
Last thing hold on.
I’m not gonna bother debunking “the shadow mantle could be the sheet on the chair” cause eh. Shadow mantle. Darker than dark. Sure, why not. It could happen. I’ve seen it proposed that King’s Cape is the shadow mantle and I feel the same about that. Sure. It could happen. I’m not stocking too much in either idea but I also don’t think they’re bad ideas. Could happen.
Actual Conclusion: I definitely think Chairiel Deltarune will appear in Chapter 3 in some capacity, but I definitely don’t think Chairiel Undertale will be the secret boss. And also some other conclusions, I don’t know, you read the post.

my deltarune theory(ies?)
DISCLAIMER: i am not an actual theorist and i wrote this all from memory! this is taking into consideration the possibility that chara is involved in the making of deltarune (1, 2) as well as other widely believed theories (gaster being involved)
putting a read more because this shit is LONG so buckle up
start with the basics?
something i was thinking about last night is how it’s interesting that we don’t know very much about susie’s home life or her reason for being “the bully.” while there are certainly hints that point to it not being great at all, there’s nothing directly confirming what it’s like.
however something that many people have pointed out is that through the numerous odd similarities deltarune and undertale have, there is the clam girl. for those who don’t know, clam girl is a NPC that you encounter if your game’s fun value is between 80 and 89 and you’re not playing a no mercy route. she talks of her neighbor’s daughter, suzy, and tells frisk that they should become friends with her. but she notes the fact that frisk would have no idea where suzy is yet fate will find a way for them to meet.
in the true pacifist epilogue of undertale with a fun value of 81, clam girl explains that the time frisk (or we, the players) will meet suzy is “fast approaching.” this specific term is yellow in text and her sprite becomes grayscale. then she abruptly vanishes, the noise as she does so being the same noise used for the mystery man and gaster follower 2 sprites when interacting with them. interestingly, her grayscale sprite is “spr_clam_goner”, not much different than goner kid. this dialogue was also added right before the release of deltarune.
so... who is suzy? while it is possible that suzy could just be susie with a different name for undertale’s sake, it’s also possible that suzy could be susie’s sister, likely younger. catty, returning from undertale, has a little sister in deltarune named catti. there isn’t much significance that i could add that would make it likely suzy is susie’s little sister other than this, but i felt it was worth mentioning so do with it what you will.
so... what else?
after interacting with clam girl, if you do the work necessary to access sans’ basement (or “lab”), you’ll be able to find a description of a photo inside one of the drawers that points out there are “three smiling people” with the text “don’t forget” written on it. this has been pointed out several times before due to the fact “don’t forget” is the deltarune song that plays at the end of ch1 (and ch2 although remixed?). if i recall correctly there is no other way of finding this flavor text except for interacting with clam girl. interesting.
lots of people believe that the covered machine in sans’ lab is a time machine. with sans’ many connections to gaster, it’s also possible that this could be a machine gaster made and had broken. it is said to be unfixable.
gaster is confirmed to have created the core. but i don’t believe this is what he fell into. it’s never specified what he fell into, just that it was his creation. so i believe that gaster fell into the time machine. and by taking entry number 17 into account, we are met with the possibility that the time machine might involve a black hole. fortunately for you guys black holes is a special interest of mine, so i can explain this easily.
basically, the anatomy of a black hole, or the structure, consists of the following:
event horizon
singularity
photon sphere
ergosphere
the event horizon of a black hole is the shadowy dark sphere that we see in images. it is a boundary in spacetime where gravity is so strong that nothing, not even light, can escape. once having crossed the event horizon, the nature of spacetime begins to deform, causing space’s usual three dimensions (length, width, height) to form only one dimension (movement forward) and time’s usual one dimension (into the future) to form three dimensions (past, present, and future). spacetime is what makes up our reality. remember this. and, as predicted by einstein’s theory of general relativity, mass bends spacetime (imagine our universe as a flat plane, and the mass of our earth causes a dip in the space underneath it), so a black hole’s mass warps spacetime so strongly that any direction you try to go in once having crossed the event horizon will lead you to the singularity. (at least... for a non-rotating, non-charged black hole.)
the singularity is a gravitational singularity, a region that may lie at the center of a black hole wherein the curvature/deformation of spacetime becomes infinite. because all black holes spin (due to their last moments as stars involving very fast rotational speeds), the singularity in a rotating black hole’s mathematics smears out to form a ring singularity (ringularity) that lies in the plane of rotation. in this case (as well as the case of a non-rotating black hole), the region has zero volume. and because of all of the black hole’s mass being held in this region, the singularity can be thought of as having infinite density. within a rotating black hole it is possible to avoid the singularity, and extending this solution as far as possible reveals the hypothetical possibility of exiting the black hole into a different spacetime (region of reality) with the black hole acting as a wormhole.
the photon sphere is a spherical boundary of zero thickness in which photons (elementary, electromagnetic radiation particles, associated with light) that move on tangents (the tangent line to a plane curve at a given point is the straight line that "just touches" the curve at that point) to that sphere would be trapped in a circular orbit about the black hole. while light can still escape from the photon sphere, any light that crosses the photon sphere on an inbound trajectory will be captured by the black hole.
lastly, the ergosphere is a region of spacetime found in rotating black holes in which it is impossible to stand still. basically, it’s like a whirlpool, and any object near the black hole will tend to start moving in the direction of rotation.
okay, so... what does this have to do with entry number 17?
WELL, here’s the dialogue from entry number 17. i’ll bold the key parts that i feel tie the possibility of this being a time machine to the time machine involving a black hole:
ENTRY NUMBER SEVENTEEN DARK DARKER YET DARKER THE DARKNESS KEEPS GROWING THE SHADOWS CUTTING DEEPER PHOTON READINGS NEGATIVE THIS NEXT EXPERIMENT SEEMS VERY VERY INTERESTING ... WHAT DO YOU TWO THINK
as you can probably tell by now, it’s possible that this description of growing darkness, no photons, is similar to that of what a black hole is like.
but why would gaster create a black hole as part of a time machine? well, my idea is that he didn’t mean to do so. he likely concentrated enough energy or mass that caused a black hole to accidentally form. this black hole would have been small in diameter, thus having an incredibly short lifespan, its evaporation being violent. this would have broken the machine entirely. however, for the sake of undertale being a video game, it’s understandable why sans (and possibly papyrus or alphys) would be okay and why the machine is still relatively in tact.
it’s unclear to me why gaster would want to make a time machine. because time travel in the sci-fi sense (involving the grandfather paradox) is likely impossible without breaking the fabric of our reality, this could also be explained for why it went so horribly wrong for gaster. and - fun fact - once you cross the event horizon, you are lost to the universe forever. every particle you are made of, every little bit of energy you hold within your existence, is lost to the outside universe. forever. this is called the black hole information paradox. however, realistically, those who are outside of the black hole will still remember you, but in gaster’s sense... i don’t think this is what happened.
it’s possible that gaster managed to avoid the singularity, if the black hole he crossed was rotational. however, because he couldn’t leave the black hole, he could have traveled to different points in spacetime. this is why he was shattered across time and space as his followers describe, because undertale confirms that within its world, this possible existence of a black hole allows for wormholes to exist.
but... but wait. no, no, no. we can’t think of undertale as space-time. why? because sans himself confirms that the continuum of undertale’s reality is a time-space continuum. he puts time before space, which could be intentional and thus swapping their roles. within undertale this means that time is 3-dimensional, explaining the existence of save points and the ability to reset and load. space, on the other hand, is 1-dimensional, meaning you can only ever go one way which is to the end of the game. even if you load previous save files, you’ll still end up finished.
so if gaster was shattered across time and space, it’s possible that he was also shattered beyond. it’s believed that he had some sense of awareness, that he found out he was in a game with multiple different timelines, thus starting his “experiment.” he created the blueprints for the determination extraction machine, and because it’s also widely believed that he and chara were in cahoots with each other, maybe gaster wanted to extract some of chara’s determination and make something for himself. and maybe he succeeded in some way, not by extracting chara’s but by making his own somehow. it’s unknown right now to me. (though if he acquired determination somehow, that would make sense if the mysteryman sprite was him, considering the weird markings or drippy things on his face as well as the general blob-like look.)
so this implies that deltarune’s reality is a time-space continuum as well?
yes. gaster was smart, brilliant even, but it’s likely he didn’t know much beyond the nature of his own reality. when creating deltarune he made the reality of its universe something similar to undertale’s, with 3-dimensional time and 1-dimensional space. if gaster had the determination or something more, enough to persist even as a remnant of a shattered being outside his own reality, then this makes sense as to how he’d be able to create deltarune. if he’s forgotten to everyone within the world of undertale, and (in some abstract way for the sake of kris, jevil, spamton and possibly others) known to nobody in deltarune, yet he created deltarune, he isn’t dead. he’s something else. he’s a god.
and this is why chara is in cahoots with him, even now.
see, chara has determination. they didn’t fall into the underground intentionally; they tripped (1, 2). given these facts and theories it’s likely that chara had determination, or hope, the ability to persevere and keep going no matter what. chara had a red soul like frisk’s, which is what made their essence attach to frisk’s body. that’s why they are tethered to us via name and stats and narration. and as we all know, the red soul symbolizes determination. power.
but while chara is very much their own person, they are still what their name was meant to imply: a character. chara reflects the will of the player; they are not the player theirself, they are their own person, but due to their attachment to frisk (and by extension, us) they act as a mirror for what we do in undertale. and sadly for them, gaster is much more powerful due to his circumstances. gaster is more like us than chara is.
and given deltarune’s theme of nobody’s choices mattering, nobody having any real control over what they do or say, if we take into consideration the fact that chara speaks in the no mercy route about destroying "this" world and "moving onto the next" and asking "when were [we] the one in control", then it’s clear that they have something to do with the theme of deltarune. chara has only ever wanted control, whether that be a good or bad thing is currently out if the question. they wanted control over their own life when they were alive in undertale, and now they want control over other people. anything they feel is a good thing for them to have control over, they will reach for it.
the gonermaker sequence in chapter 1 is abruptly cut off by someone who speaks VERY similarly to chara, in contrast to the person from before who we all agree is gaster (in both japanese and english, it is very chara-esque way of speaking). now, why is this called the gonermaker? my guess is because chara has been discarding all these vessels, making gaster’s experiment much more difficult to start off and get going.
all the gaster followers from undertale, including goner clam girl and goner kid, show up in deltarune. they are fully colored sprites. the only goner character who doesn’t show up in deltarune is the one WE create in chapter 1′s beginning sequence. and i think that’s because they are set up to reappear, at some point in one of deltarune’s future chapters.
so, chara has been discarding all of the vessels, all the followers, all the now-goners because they know that these people will never have control over their lives. as long as they are shallow vessels meant to worship and serve our (the players’) and gaster’s desires (to play a game and experiment, thereby affecting an entire world/universe), they have no autonomy over themselves. and this resonates with chara for a multitude of reasons we can tie back to undertale. they state that "no one can choose who they are in this world," because it’s true. no one can choose who they are. not in a world dominated by gods like us and gaster. and that’s why chara discards these vessels and characters who were probably once their own real persons, as a means of sparing them from what they lacked for theirself: control. and no matter what, even if chara didn’t interrupt, we would have still ended up as kris because again No One Can Choose Who They Are In This World. chara was making gaster’s sick joke plain and simple for us, that it applies to us in some way too.
so then... what’s the deal with spamton and jevil?
well, i think they are people who encountered gaster (this is widely believed anyway) and convinced themselves that they were significant for this knowledge that they are in a game, knowledge gaster told them of, driving them both insane and robbing them of who they were meant to be. and because nobody can choose who they are in deltarune, when they try to break free nothing changes or has a happy outcome, because it’s sadly just not possible to change your fate in deltarune.
this presumably-fact becomes clearer with spamton, though. and that’s why kris becomes so afraid, both at the end of spamton neo’s pacifist battle and his snowgrave battle. because kris can’t choose who they are, either. kris is like spamton, a puppet. a heart on a chain. they don’t have full control over who they are and trying to break free only hurts them more, as we see whenever they tear their soul out of their body and disable our input. but, maybe it’ll be different for kris, because they ARE the protagonist. but right now it feels like they’ve given up on the idea of having control over theirself. the only rebelling they do is work to open a dark fountain, thereby continuing the story of deltarune and, really, only helping us more in terms of playing the game.
and i mean, it’s also obvious that gaster holds influence over kris, too, considering the weird hidden encounters where you interact with something and see a man smiling or waving at you or giving you an egg. and this egg doesn’t change into a ball of trash like every other dark world item once you return to the light world. it stays the same. i can’t really remember the significance of eggs when it comes to gaster other than his whole existence being left as an Easter Egg but i do know that on the date with papyrus in undertale, there’s an egg on the side with the dating hub so, whether that’s there for funny points or lore is unknown, but interesting too.
i also want to say that i don’t think gaster and chara are being pitted against each other in terms of "these are 2 different types of gamers." while that would make sense simplistically, i feel like toby would be much more in depth and nuanced with it, as he usually is with his method of storytelling. because even though chara is kind of god-like, considering their death in undertale and their soul being the same as ours, leading to them being attached to us like some kind of angel (and angels have lots of significance in both undertale and deltarune), they’re still only a character and not at all on the level that gaster is.
i personally think gaster and chara are, on a more hidden level because toby isn’t being very direct at all with these two, meant to represent a different side of the "player vs character" perspective. and that’s something that undertale and deltarune have both tried to convey to us in the no mercy and snowgrave routes, but unfortunately in undertale’s case it was widely misinterpreted in both ways. i think it’s a bit more sensible to go about it this way, because gaster is not us, as in we don’t control him like we can other characters, and the symbolism of what he’s meant to represent is there.
ok, one last question: how did chara access wherever gaster’s in?
that part is still very foggy. i can’t come up with a definite reasoning, but for now i’ll take a wild guess and say that maybe chara grew tired of being a ghost with no real autonomy. maybe they decided they wanted to break free for theirself, and by doing this their essence became detached from frisk’s body (and by extension our control), thus causing them to be shattered similarly to gaster or winding up in the void gaster has. however that happened.
there’s a lot of uncanny resemblance between chara and kris, though, especially if this is the case. chara breaks free and winds up in the void with gaster, and kris realizes that breaking free for theirself may not be all that they think it’s meant to be. given spamton neo and all. aside from the fact that chara and kris look similar, have the same family (though in different universes of course), and strangely both have a sweet tooth, this is especially odd to me.
i can’t quite put it into words, but it feels like, to me at least, chara is very much present in the world of deltarune. and they share similarities with kris that are hard to ignore.
so that’s it, then.
for the most part... yes. a lot of the theories i’ve linked here and there explain things i agree with, so you can read them as you see fit. i especially recommend nochocolate’s posts on chara if you’re interested, such as the ambiguity of freedom in undertale (and, though this was never mentioned in their post, by extension now deltarune).
but. there is one character that seems to be involved in some (or a lot) of this. and that’s papyrus. the only problem is, i can’t figure out what’s going on.
at first glance papyrus is just a very charming guy. but you know, he’s actually a lot more mysterious than sans. he shares similarities to chara and flowey/asriel, and holds weird possible connections to gaster. he’s also the only major character from undertale (aside from asriel) who hasn’t made a physical appearance in deltarune. while checking sans and papyrus’ house will have you met with narration describing “a distant trousle of bones”, it’s worth noting that in chapter 2 it’s described as getting farther and farther away. so... why? is this world’s papyrus just shy, or is there a deeper reason?
again, i can’t tell what’s going on with papyrus, if there even is anything at all. but there’s a lot of weird and mysterious little oddities involving him that i don’t think are unintentional or accidental.
anyways... there. hoo boy. that’s my theory. or theories. i don’t really know. like i said, i’m not a theorist, i don’t know everything and i don’t expect any of this to be true. it’s just what makes sense to me. and it’s important that if you believe this, you also recognize that toby is the creator and he does what he thinks is best when it comes to the story of deltarune and the possible connections it has to undertale (even though toby’s said that the two have no connections, it’s not uncommon for him to be untruthful about things).
if you read all of this... thanks! let me know your thoughts!
