The thing that gets me about Miguel and Jess being mad at Miles for breaking Pavitr’s canon is that it’s kinda not really canon... The canon is stuff that is destined to happen in each world on their own, right? Well, Captain Singh wouldn’t have been in peril saving that little girl on his own that particular day. It only happened because Spot was there wrecking Alchemax. Spot who was made by Miles. It’s a whole chain effect that pretty much boils down to Captain Singh wouldn’t have died if Miles wasn’t there because it wouldn’t happen in the first place. So if he saves Captain Singh from a scenario he (inadvertently) created, is he really breaking the canon?

There's a fun thing Ultimate Spider-Man is doing in that the background hum of the setting, right, is the universal paranoia over mutants, but Spidey and his handful of rogues are very aggressively singled out by SHIELD as quote-unquote "unlawful genetic mutates" or something down those lines- the sinister six in fact forms due to being collectively saddled with that moniker- like they are trying very very pointedly, even moreso than in mainline Marvel, to slice and dice and categorize, here are the unruly-but-manageable freaks and over there is the vast unregulated inscrutable blob of Mutantdom. All of which to say that even if they didn't plan it from the start, the eventual metatwist that almost all mutant and non-mutant superhumans are downstream of research on the original super soldier serum was super well telegraphed thematically.
