The Inception Story of Geniusthingks

After completing my mechanical engineering studies, I started my career as a US stockbroker, eventually becoming a branch manager. Later on, I founded a stock database company, which I sold 20 years later. Following that, I became a trustee and large-volume trader for a Swiss family office. My journey then took me to Asia, and eventually, I returned to Europe, specifically southern France (Nice), where I established several companies to explore the numerous patents I had written.

This ensures the protection of entire street blocks or even entire boroughs from overload when multiple EVs need to charge simultaneously.

I firmly believe that everyone should contemplate how to improve the world when I recognized the detrimental impact of egoistic ignorance on the “best intentions”. It is crucial to seek non-mainstream yet non-fake information and sometimes take a stand and fight for what we believe in. My own experiences during conscription reinforced my desire for safer and more precise weapons that minimize collateral damage.

The crisis in Ukraine caused by Russia’s aggression had a profound effect on me. It became clear that simple weapons and networking with like-minded individuals were efficient means of countering the enemy. As a result, geniusthingks unintentionally gained a section dedicated to Ukraine, providing advice both on the battlefield and for long-term perspectives aiming to integrate Russia into European structures and liberate its people.

Environmental concerns also hold significant importance for us. We are involved in redesigning mass-transport train traffic for high-speed transportation on an interstate level and designed a people mover on an inner-city level, and we have developed our own electric mini-car, a 3-seater side-by-side vehicle. Our patented hot liquid-forming technology allows for automated thick plastic shell production in just 2 minutes. The car’s sandwich structure includes a rigid aluminium tube cage. We plan to create a steering wheel-free, drive-by-wire joystick pedal-free prototype as soon as we secure a suitable investor to explore our patents for our citeeecar (www.citeeecar.com).

On a global scale, I firmly believe that the world does not have an energy problem; rather, we have not yet explored the depths of potential energy sources, literally speaking. That’s why I propose harnessing Nadir Power, a concept involving the exploitation of the nuclear power plant deep within our blue marble´s belly. By evaporating stone down to ca. 10 miles, we can loop and harness supercritical water (> 221 bar & 374°C), which holds tremendous potential that is fed by quite conventional turbines.

At geniusthingks, our “marketing” approach remains consistent: our products must be so exceptional that everyone concerned feels the need to have them; otherwise, they hold no value for us. Veterans, Ukraine, and the Weight of History

JD Vance's recent comments have certainly stirred up a long-simmering debate. As a Marine veteran, his skepticism over U.S. support for Ukraine comes from a place deeply affected by the disillusionment of previous wars, like Iraq and Afghanistan. This raises vital questions: Can we truly afford to retreat into isolationism? Does helping Ukraine signify more than just geopolitical strategy? Could supporting Ukraine indeed be aligning with the values and ideals we once believed were worth defending?

NATO's 75th Anniversary Summit Highlights

As the North Atlantic Treaty Organization prepares to celebrate its 75th anniversary at next month's Washington summit, U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO Julianne Smith highlighted the alliance's resilience, agility, and resolve in a wide-ranging discussion with the Defense Writers' Group. Following Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014, NATO leaders agreed to dedicate 2% of their respective GDPs to defense spending. While only three nations met this target in 2014, Ambassador Smith highlighted the progress made, with possibly 23 allies set to hit or surpass the 2% mark in 2024. Another key agenda item will be reviewing the "operationalization" of NATO's new regional defense plans, a major shift in how allied countries invest, procure, and work together. This long-term project, spanning roughly a decade, will have a lasting impact on the alliance's deterrence and defense policies.

G7 Finance Ministers Commit to Economic Support for Ukraine Using Frozen Russian Assets

Finance ministers from the Group of 7 (G7) nations have pledged continued economic support for Ukraine, unveiling a plan to finance the nation’s reconstruction using proceeds from frozen Russian assets. The joint statement issued on Thursday also condemned recent terrorist attacks by Hamas on Israel, expressing solidarity with the Israeli people.

The Discussions

The agreement follows extensive discussions among the world’s most advanced economies, which have collectively frozen around $300 billion of Russian central bank assets. The proposed plan entails utilizing investment gains on these assets rather than the assets themselves, a move deemed legally more sound.

Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen expressed support for the initiative, describing it as using “windfall proceeds” from immobilized Russian sovereign assets to support Ukraine. The finance ministers reiterated their unwavering support for Ukraine and condemned Russia’s “illegal, unjustifiable, and unprovoked war of aggression against Ukraine.”

The G7 ministers, currently gathered in Morocco for the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, initially intended to focus on punitive measures against Russia for its actions in Ukraine. However, recent geopolitical crises have shifted the agenda.

Sanctions Against Russia

In response to concerns about the effectiveness of existing measures, the G7 pledged to be tougher in enforcing sanctions against Russia. The United States, as part of this strengthened approach, imposed sanctions on two shipping companies for violating the oil price cap enacted by the G7 nations to limit Russia’s energy export revenue.

These penalties, the first of their kind, were directed at Lumber Marine, a UAE shipping company, and Ice Pearl Navigation Corporation, a Turkish shipping company, for transporting Russian crude oil priced above the stipulated cap. This move aims to prevent Russia from benefitting from soaring energy prices by limiting its ability to sell oil using Western insurance and financing.

While described as a new phase of price cap enforcement, analysts believe it’s a small step, considering the suspected extent of evasion. The G7 closely monitors oil markets, considering the price cap successful in eroding Russian oil profits and spurring the Kremlin to invest in alternative financial services and a “shadow” fleet of ships.

Summing Up

Despite these efforts, finance ministers and central bankers at the meeting expressed concerns about multiple crises potentially derailing their efforts to combat inflation while avoiding recessions. Bruno Le Maire, France’s finance minister, highlighted geopolitical risks as the most significant challenges for the world economy in these troubled times.
