My time at a USW blogger
So sadly my time as a USW blogger has come to an end. I’ve had the most amazing time whilst writing blogs, recording vlogs and overall being able to document my journey through my final year of BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences. Thanks to the blogging team, I’ve been able to go on trips and have so many new experiences and meet the most amazing team of fellow bloggers and our fantastic team back at uni.
This blog will be something I can always look back on fondly and carry these memories with me forever. When I first received the email about being a blogger I didn’t know if I could do it... honestly though I wouldn't have a single person read anything I’d written... you all proved me very wrong!
I would totally recommend anyone put in this positon to take it! you do get used to being in front of the camera and documenting your every move... I think I’m going to struggle not to tweet EVERYTHING now. Although I may have a secret project in the works which may or may not be announced tomorrow!
Thank you USW and to my fantastic team Tom, Aaron, Stephen, Mat and Jen and a thank you to my amazing fellow bloggers Charlie, Dan, Lilla, Reem and Jonas. I’ll miss you all but so excited to see where you all end up and where all your new adventures take each of you.
Good luck guys :)

Here is my journey with the first picture being me on my first day of university right up to graduation. I’ve wanted to make this video for months and there was no other song choice more suitable than this one.
Thanks University of South Wales & Medical Sciences for an unforgettable 4 years.

I’m a graduate!
So, after four of the most incredible years at USW I’ve officially graduated and am off to finish off my medical degree at Cardiff Med School. I can’t believe I’m here today even writing this. Four years ago I was just starting out after having discovered I had the grades to apply for postgraduate medicine yet had no idea I would succeed. I remember having so many doubts about how I would even get through the first week let alone the rest of the degree.
Along the way I’ve met so many incredible people, whether they be my two best friends Daniel and Sarah, or the lecturers that pushed me to keep going even when I couldn't see the end in sight, or the marketing and blogging team who over the years have become friendly faces throughout my time and whom I will miss terribly.
I’ve had so many opportunities as a student here at USW and despite being a paid ambassador so technically it being my job to tell people the wonderful things about USW, it hasn't felt like a job because I truly believe in my course and the wonderful people that enable it to exist. Yes, everyone has different experiences in uni, some may hate their time and some may view it as a stepping stone to get where they truly want to me but for me university was the goal... yes I have always dreamed about going to university so for me that is now ticked off the list (despite having another 4 years to go in another uni now!)
All I can say is Thank you. Thank you to everyone who helped me along on this journey. It’s been hard and I’ve faced many challenges such as never feeling good enough or always doubting my abilities and trying to force and rush what needed time to grow. I can’t even count how many health problems I’ve had at university, yet the advice shop and friends and lecturers around me all showed patience and support until I was back on my feet. When I experienced 2 deaths this year in my family, both of which came at very high academic points of the year... including 2 days before my final project was due! They helped me get through it.
On an open day my course leader likes to tell prospective students that we’re not like a family, as families fight, but we are a strong community that is built on friendship, trust and respect. I believe that sums it all up... I’m proud to have been a student at USW and apart of BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences. It’s made me the person I am today and as I leave to become the doctor I’ve always dreamt of becoming, I’ll look back at my years at USW with nothing but fondness and gratitude.

#3daystillgraduation ok so I couldn't choose 4 photos but that's ok because today I chose George. So we met 4 years ago as my 2 best friends lived with him in our year 0. Instantly I liked him and his amazing personality. Fast forward 4 years later... we've been together around 2 years and honestly it's been the best time. If I didn't go USW I would never have met George and that's just not ok! He's my best friend and my partner. We're both graduating this week but sadly he has a graduate job and can't make it down from his new job. However. 2 years down MANY more to come. (I'll stop being a mushy girl now😂) love you dude 🖤 #uswalumni #studentlife #uswblogger #graduate #unilove #unilovers #usw

Summer plans
Evening all! So I've seen a few posts recently on people trying to think how to spend their summer now they have a few months off. Here's some tips/ ideas: 1. Holiday - whether it's with your friends or family a holiday can always be fun. If not abroad why not go camping? 2. Part-time job - might be seen as boring or time consuming but having that extra bit of money can get you pretty far when you arrive at uni. 3. Days out - the summer before I went to summer mostly consisted of me being out with friends in bristol, enjoying the sun and time I had with them. 4. Experiences - have a look online for events that is happening near you, get your friends together and do something out of the ordinary. 5. Work experience - having experience in the subject you're going to study can be a bonus. During the summer before I went to university I decided to work closely with a Bristol songwriter and created a music video for one of his songs. This kept me busy and also meant I could say I worked on something media related. I hope these tips have helped, like always if you have more let me know. I have my graduation vlog ready to edit so do keep your eyes open for that!

Exams are finished what next?
Morning all! So for those who have just completed their A-levels exams over the last few weeks are beginning to realise that things are changing and you don't have to revise like you have been doing day in day out anymore and those textbooks can be put away. So a-level results are released on Thursday the 17th of August, yes that might seem quite far away but it's only 7 weeks away. I've decided I'd do a blog sharing any advice and tips on what to expect now all of the exams have finished. 1. Take time for you - do what you want to do it's you time not revision time. 2. You will be bored - now that all your exams and lessons have finished you have more time to spare then you would've thought... some days drag other go quick 3. Lead up - The lead up to results day will start really slow but when you have just a week left it will go very quickly. Do things that will take your mind off it; go out, see friends and family, try something new. 4. Post results = head down - if when you get your grades you find that you have been accepted to study at university your days will disappear very quickly. Make a list of things you need to buy that way you won't forget anything. 5. You will be ok - results day is a day that most of the time you will want to come but other days will dread. The questions going through your head will be terrifying you but you need to know everything will be ok. Like I've said before some courses still accept you if you don't get the grades, or happened to me and I'm graduating university now with a First. I hope this has helped, if you have more advice you think might help someone let me know and I'll share it!
