Countries that have continued to suspend their funding of the United Nations' top relief agency in the occupied Palestinian territories were left with "no room" to justify their decision, said critics on Monday as an independent investigation into Israel's allegations against the organization revealed Israeli officials have ignored requests to provide evidence to support their claims.

Catherine Colonna, the former foreign minister of France, released her findings in a probe regarding Israel's claims that a significant number of employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) were members of terrorist groups.

Nearly three months after U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres commissioned the report, Colonna said Israel "has yet to provide supporting evidence" of its allegation that "a significant number of UNRWA employees are members of terrorist organizations."

Colonna's findings were bolstered by an investigation led by the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law in Sweden, the Chr. Michelsen Institute in Norway, and the Danish Institute for Human Rights, which separately sought evidence from Israel.

"Israeli authorities have to date not provided any supporting evidence nor responded to letters from UNRWA in March, and again in April, requesting the names and supporting evidence that would enable UNRWA to open an investigation," said the Nordic groups.

Spy Weapon Concept: The Butcher's Knife

A friend of mine recently proposed a TF2 weapon concept to me, mostly for me to actually try making it, but until then I'm just gonna make stats for it and post it on Tumblr.

Unlike the rest of Spy's unlocks, this greatly reduces your stealth in order to have more secure picks. This concept is basically the Kunai if it was somewhat self-aware. This is a pretty first-draft concept (as most of these ideas are), but I believe this could be an interesting play style for the Spy.

All stabs can instant-kill

Ever though face stabs were annoying? Well, I have some bad news. This weapon can backstab at any angle.

On kill: fully restores HP and cloak meter

This completely heals you and gets rid of debuffs. However, unlike the Kunai, this cannot apply overheal.

While active: +10% movement speed

This is a multiplicative bonus of the Spy's 107% speed. This means that the Spy now moves at 118% movement speed, or 354 Hammer Units. This is still a far cry from Scout's 400 Hammer Units, but is a rather significant speed buff.

Violent Killer: Your victims are VERY loud

The stab sound is very guttural and the scream is very loud. This also comes with a unique kill icon in the kill feed and a unique voice line in the chat. It would take a dumbass mother fucker to not notice your stab.

Knives are left in your victims

You lose your knife on kill (12 seconds recharge). This makes chain stabbing extremely difficult, which is good when you just instantly kill everyone with high speeds and melee damage (coughs in Demoknight Tide Turner + Persian Persuader (thank God casual players only use the Eyelander))

Thrill of the Hunt: cannot cloak while weapon is active, cannot switch weapons until you get a kill, your footsteps are louder while not disguised

Pulling out this weapon forces you to really commit to it. If you somehow don't get a kill, you will die. Fuck you. No random crits also.

I think the reason I resent it so strongly when people say things like "being normal is good and desirable actually" is that I can act more or less normal and there are benefits to that (grinding my teeth just from typing that), and the way I learned to act that way was by being (mostly metaphorically, although...) beaten over the head with a stick for doing things that are weird or saying weird things or being happy and comfortable in a way that other people didn't understand or found uncomfortable and I just have to sort of live with the permanent damage from that, but hey at least I can get a job and blend in with my peers and maybe even maintain normal relationships if I really try now.

But I guess I still really fucking resent the idea that I'm supposed to be grateful for my beatings. Everyone always believed I could blend in, I just needed a little tough love when I wouldn't just do it on my own accord you know? Maybe everyone has to go through this kind of thing as they learn how to be normal functional adults out in the world but I kind of doubt it

November 1989. Launched three months after the end of the previous LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES book, Keith Giffen's "v4" series remains the Legion's most controversial phase. Set five years after the end of the outgoing book, it stripped the gloss from the Legion's future: 30th Century Earth has withdrawn from the United Planets and is sinking into xenophobic, totalitarian isolationism; the Legion has disbanded, its members and allies scattered to the winds. Some characters are dead, maimed, missing, or imprisoned; a few are now collaborators; and the rest are preoccupied with their own problems. Former Legionnaire Reep Daggle (Chameleon Boy), now fabulously wealthy, decides the only solution is to put the band back together, but the universe has problems that may be too big for an organization of aging former teen superheroes.

Dense, complex, and often quite dark, the storyline begins in medias res, and it takes some time to piece together what's going on (to say nothing of trying to keep straight the no-longer-costumed characters, who have real names like "Rokk Krinn"). However, there's actual substance to reward the effort, and scripters Tom & Mary Bierbaum bring the characters to vivid life. People who enjoyed BABYLON 5, DEEP SPACE NINE, or BATTLESTAR GALACTICA would probably also find much to enjoy here, although those unfamiliar with the Legion may need a cheat-sheet, and it's perhaps best to assume that the series ends after issue #36, the end of the "Terra Mosaic" arc.

This run was frequently hampered by ongoing editorial feuds, not due to its content (although that rubbed many longtime readers the wrong way), but because of issues related to the Legion's lingering ties to Superman, which resulted in a number of further continuity shuffles. Giffen actually quit several times during the run, leaving the Bierbaums floundering (issues without Giffen's name on them are usually a mess), and his final storyline in #38–#40 was an extremely bitter pill that broke the setting so thoroughly that a corrective continuity reset was basically inevitable. After his departure, the Bierbaums remained through issue #50 (and for most of the run of the ill-advised LEGIONNAIRES spinoff book), but with no direction and little editorial support, it was increasingly hopeless. DC eventually opted for an infuriating reboot that scrapped 45 years of Legion history in favor of a return to cutesy teen heroes with silly names. (Giffen's intended resolution wouldn't have been much better; his plan was to eventually reveal that the adult Legionnaires were all clones — as with Marvel's ill-fated Ben Reilly Spider-Clone storyline — which would also have been very dire.) The Legion has never really recovered, despite a further succession of partial or total reboots.
