THE CREEPIEST VOCALS IN AMERICAN HARDCORE ARE ON THIS RECORD -- THE YEAR HARDCORE PEAKED.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on a first pressing of the "Fugitive Family" 7 inch EP by Arlington, Virginia-based hardcore punk band UNITED MUTATION, jointly released by DSI/Dischord Records in 1983. Only 1000 pressed.
"A truly amazing record. UNITED MUTATION have combined the speed and intensity of basic thrash with some highly distinctive structural changes, a couple of nasty guitar leads, and the scariest vocals I’ve heard in a long time. Today’s trendy horror rockers will crap their pants and go into convulsions when they hear the singer’s raspy growl, which bears a striking resemblance to that of the demon in "The Exorcist.""

Premise: In 1988 the United States government was in the prime of its Weapon X program. Joel, a 21 year old trans man, and special forces medic with a special mutation was selected to propell the program into the future. Five months after his 'selection', he finds a buck naked Logan Howlett in the barn of his remote farm. Realizing that they have more in common than they initially thought, the two start a quest to hide from the us military and keep their daughter Sarah out of the hands of the Weapon X program. Building a family together while on the run isn't easy, but somehow the two former soldiers and america's most wanted fugitives seem to make it work. At least for a while.

"How could something so tragic happen here? Things are getting bad these days!"
No. Tragedy happens at times. The denser the population, the more likely someone is going to go bad and do something tragic. It is virtually inevitable, because of the nature of vulnerable human psyches and probability.
The reason it seems like some sort of epidemic is because the news really does not account for this. Even parts of Europe that treat firearms ownership like every .22 LR bullet is a national secret, still winds up with SOME gun crime. And how is that possible, if they're supposedly so up on the ball?
It's because the news publicizes the hell out of every out of control dispute with a firearm for a purpose. If you only get 1-2 incidents out of a population of 100,000 people, you're doing pretty well.
And if it's a place with organized crime? Well the incidences go up.
Look at a heat map of where violent incidents occur in the United States. You'll notice a whole fuck of that shit comes from organized, desperate people where operating that way is profitable in some way to an organization. It's normalized there because there's nothing the elected government can or will do, so they jus treat the crime like it's a natural disaster that the state can't do anything about.
But they talk about the random assed gun crimes like they're epidemiological and can somehow be fought by making gun ownership illegal. No. That's not how it works.
Back in the day, when the fastest news had to travel was where a person could reach over a 24 to 48 hour span on foot or in a car (wanted fugitives on the loose) people didn't really care what the crime rates were in the village or city yay-far away, because the odds of the embers flying out of that crucible into their own back yards were low. It was understood the community down the hall was hit by tragedy, recognized as very sad, but that's life.
Now adays the news tries to argue that there is no separation by distance and you should mentally perceive victimization of assault to someone else as if it's exactly the same as if your own immediate family is being assaulted by crime, and be under a siege mentality. When, that's not healthy, as well as inaccurate and unhelpful. We do not all live in the same region. It's just simply unhealthy, mentally, to imagine the level of danger averages. It doesn't. The vast majority of districts in the United States, most of them as large as well trod European cities, experienced ZERO recorded gun crimes.
If you want to "do something" to more permanently end gun crime, then find some funds to research epigenetics, neurology and psychiatrics, as well as immuno-biology, and pump money into it. Human beings will inevitably have individuals with a deficit of mental health through no fault of their own but unfortunate mutations. The vast majority of people in the exact same situations as shooters, don't operate as the shooters. Because their sanity prevents them from acting out.

"I would never doubt you" Chreon
(Spoiler alert this takes place during the Umbrella Leon AU)
He tried his bonds once more and huffed out of frustration, giving a defeated sigh before reclining in his seat. Leon looked around at the fancy and oh so interesting interior that was the interrogation room of the BSAA Headquarters. He had just come back from an assignment with Neo-Umbrella; a bittersweet dinner with Director Derek C. Simmons. A man he wasn't supposed to be working for to begin with, but he missed his window of opportunity and he was not dragging Sherry or anyone else down with him. Not again.
He had been on his way back to his hotel when he had been grabbed, bagged and bound before being tossed into the back of a truck.
At first, Leon contemplated his captors, wondering just who was ballsy enough to grab him in broad daylight like this. It wasn't until he heard Jill Valentine's voice in the truck did he realize who caught him. The only question was...why?
Well, actually that was a lie. He knew why...and his other question was whether or not Captain Beefcake was going to be here. He hoped so...he and Chris were supposed to start their new life together...but he had been "arrested" by "United States Officials" after the ambush and separated from Chris, Sherry and their escorts. Luckily, they had made it out...but Leon was back to playing errand boy for the very organization he had tried to get away from.
When he tried to reach out to Chris, he had been barred. He then volunteered to take the assignment in Edonia, but a woman who looked and sounded like Ada, but was not Ada, pretty much told him to fuck off. She had heard about his romps with Chris and told him that if he wasn't so appealing to their employer, he would have been one of her pet projects. That and he was apparently still on "probation" so he wouldn't be allowed any assignments like he was used to.
So, angered and heartbroken, Leon had no choice but to let the woman go and no way of even warning Chris and his men of the threat that was coming. He even tried to reach out to Sherry secretly, but his letters had been returned, big red "Return to Sender" stamped on the front of each and every one.
He had been alone and cut-off...isolated...until now.
The door to the interrogation room opened and Leon nearly jumped for joy when he saw Chris, "Holy shit! You're alive! What happened? Where's Sherry?"
Almost two years...it had been almost two years since he had last seen Chris or Sherry. Almost two years since he had seen the people he had considered to be his family.
The man looked annoyed with him, slamming a file down on the table and startling Leon in the process. The smile melted from the agent's features, replaced by a look that was a mix of concern and confusion.
"Chris?" Leon asked, reaching for the man despite the cuffs.
"That's Captain Redfield to you, fugitive." The man snarled, "Especially after what you did to my men."
Leon furrowed his brows in confusion. Fugitive? "What are you talking about?"
Chris scoffed, opening the file and throwing pictures at the younger. Pictures of places and people he didn't recognize, "Don't fucking play dumb with me! You caused all of this! You and that bitch!"
Leon gave a look of offense, but tried to contain his emotions as he looked over the photos. He didn't know this place...nor did he know these people or recognize the mutations of the monsters. A new virus perhaps? And what the hell was all this? Was this what happened in Edonia? He hadn't heard details about it.
He shook his head, "I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about."
Chris slammed his fist on the table and stood, getting in close and scaring the agent, "Don't fucking lie to me! You and that Wong bitch killed all of my men, killed innocents all across Edonia and then attacked Jake Muller and Agent Birkin's plane!"
Leon's eyes widened in shock, frozen in place as a cold, sickening feeling washed over him. Agent
...Birkin? He slowly shook his head, feeling like he was about to have a panic attack. No...no, no, no! Sherry...she was supposed to be safe with Claire! She wasn't ever supposed to be involved with any of this ever again!
His stomach churned as Chris told him angrily what had happened, showing Leon a photo of someone who looked remarkably like himself with that not Ada woman. Leon felt so confused, shaking his head fervently. No, that wasn't him. He had never been to Edonia! What the fuck was this?!
"You told me back then you wanted to change!" Chris hollered accusingly, "You wanted out of this life! But then you fucking disappear for nearly two years and then pull this shit?!"
"Chris, this isn't me!" Leon protested, "I didn't...I don't know what this is! Please! I've never even been to Edonia!"
"Then who the fuck is this?!" Chris exclaimed, showing a picture of the imposter, "You telling me that this isn't you? Cause, it looks like you to me!"
"It's not! I swear!" Leon argued, "Please, you got to believe me!"
"Why should I?!" Chris hollered, throwing the picture at him, Kevlar gloved hands angrily gripping the table as the bigger man invaded his space, "You fucking promised and then this shit happens! You killed innocent people and good men!"
"I did not!"
"I fucking saw you with my own eyes, Kennedy!"
"Chris I would never…!"
"THEN WHY DID YOU?!"
The agent was speechless, unsure of what to say. What could he say? He didn't know what the fuck had happened nor did he know what was going on. He knew he never stepped foot in Edonia, but Chris knew what he saw, and there were even photos of this mysterious doppelganger. He didn't believe Leon and Leon didn't know how he could protest his innocence.
"I trusted you…" Chris said, calming and sitting back in his seat, "I fucking poured my heart out to you and gave it to you...and then you disappeared. And when I finally see you again, you betray me and kill everyone I trust..."
Leon felt like his heart was breaking in his chest as he looked up at the man he loved. Those eyes that used to look at him with love now cold and looked upon him with hatred. His composure was wavering, feeling like he was about to break down and beg for forgiveness. He reached for Chris's hand, but the man pulled away, hurting Leon even more.
"I don't know what to say…" Leon confessed, "I know I wasn't there...but you know what you saw…"
Chris studied him, as though contemplating something. What? Only the man knew.
Leon cleared his throat, "You want justice for your men...and whatever happened to Sherry and this "Jake" person. That's understandable."
Chris leaned back in his seat, not replying, but simply watching. Leon looked down at the floor, trying not to cry.
Leon looked up at him through dark locks, "I would never doubt you or your judgement. In the end...I know you'll do the right thing."
Again, he was met with silence, but he could see it in the man's eyes as they softened. He was slowly breaking through the stoic and cold exterior. Before either could say or do anything, a young man wearing a scarf came in and informed Chris that they needed to move out soon. Their flight to China would be leaving later on, but they needed to go over the briefing with the team and prepare in the meantime.
Leon looked between the two before settling his gaze on Chris, the man giving a nod and thanking "Lieutenant Nivans" before packing up the file and standing.
"Wait!" Leon protested, pulling at his cuffs and reaching for Chris as best as he could, "Please...I need to know about Sherry. Is she still alive? She's okay, right?"
Chris merely looked down at him, not saying a word but turning back to Nivans, "Have Parker and Quint escort this man to a cell. I'll question him more and we'll figure out what to do with him when we get back."
Leon shook his head, crying and screaming for Chris as two men entered in and Chris left. The bigger man undoing and adjusting his cuffs until his arms were bound behind his back, despite Leon's thrashing. They held the struggling man by his arms, Leon calling for Chris and begging for him to come back, insisting he could help.
They had passed a room filled with soldiers and desks, passed through several corridors and made their way down a long hallway filled with cells. Leon waited and then stumbled, making it seem like there was something wrong with his leg. When the big guy, "Parker" bent down to check, Leon had headbutted him. The man stumbled back, cursing in Italian while holding his nose in pain.
The shorter man, "Quint" tried to get a hold on Leon, but the agent kneed him in the groin. When the bald man doubled over, Leon kneed him in the face, knocking him out. Parker reached for him, but Leon got into a crouch before sweeping his leg, knocking Parker's legs out from under him. He knocked him out as well.
After bending and twisting until his arms were in front of him, Leon retrieved the key to the cuffs from Parker, "Sorry, boys...but I need to find my daughter and prove my innocence to the man I love, and sitting in a cell counting my days isn't going to help me do it."
Once freed, he bolted down the hallway, reaching an emergency exit. He flew through the door and ran. He didn't know what the fuck was going on...but most likely he had been set up. For What? He still wasn't completely sure.
One thing he did know what that he needed to find Ada. The real Ada. No doubt she would catch wind of this, especially if there was a nut job parading around as her. Together, they would get to the bottom of this. Then he would go to China and help Chris before something bad happened.
But first, he had to make a stop in Tall Oaks where his hotel was and get some supplies.

Smash Bros Character: Mass Effect AU (Warning: Long)
I know N7 day has come and gone, but I really wanted to show this to you guys for a while now. I love Mass Effect, and I love the idea of my favorite Smashers being in it.
If you have not played Mass Effect, I apologize, for you are about to be horribly confused.
Bayonetta: An Asari, but more than that she is an Ardat Yakshi who has found a way to control her powers and mate normally with other life-forms, but still has access to her mind-destroying powers. Her only real wish is to be left alone, but since Justicars continue to pursue her, she keeps moving. Despite her condition, she is, at heart, a kind soul.
Bowser: A Krogan warlord who has left his home with a collection of followers and colonized a new world. To subvert the Genophage he uses genetic engineering, creating a new generation of “Tank-Born” Krogan, including his own children. He is technically a fugitive from the Citadel Council, but they can never seem to keep him down for long. But now he has received an offer from a mysterious being called Ganondorf, one that seems too sweet to refuse.
Bowser Jr.: Bowser’s Tank-Born son, Bowser Jr feels like he has a lot to live up to. He and his siblings do their best to emulate their father and make himproud, embracing their heritage as Krogan despite being Tank-Born.
Captain Falcon: A former N7 Marine who quit the Corps to become a free-lance bounty hunter. He possess some Biotic ability, but relies mainly on his weaponry to get him out of trouble. He’s a modern day cowboy, zipping from System to System, hunting criminals and scum for money. Zaeed Masani himself declared him one of the few men he trusts.
Chrom: A human commander who’s name and leadership has garnered respect and admiration from the Alliance and Citadel forces. While he himself is a respectable fighter, he is a better commander than warrior. He has a daughter, but due to his promiscuous nature no one knows who the mother is.
Cloud: Cloud was an ordinary colony boy, albeit one born with Biotic abilities. Until his home colony was attacked by Cerberus. He and a few others were taken to the Teltin Cerberus facility and was experimented on horribly by Cerberus. He escaped during Subject Zero’s escape, but unlike her he was found by a passing Alliance patrol, led by one Commander Zack Fair. Now Cloud is a vigilante/mercenary has devoted himself to destroying Cerberus, and saving anyone they might make a victim.
Corrin: Corrin is a child of two worlds. They were raised by Asari Justicars to be a Huntress but she never lost contact with her native family and species. Corrin is now a candidate for the Specter Program, but now that they are on the Galactic Stage, they must start to question which world they belong to.
Daisy: An asari, unique in the fact that she has little to no Biotic power. She makes up for this by being an absolute beast of a soldier, trained in every weapon from pistols to the legendary M-20 Cain. Daisy is loyal to her asari people, particularly her cousin, but has her eye on a certain human officer.
Dark Pit: Dark Pit is a turian, a clone of the original. Despite his unorthodox birth, he is a fierce fighter and loyal, despite being a bit of a maverick. Assigned to the Asari Matriarch Palutena’s personal guard, Dark Pit is eager to shake the assumptions heaped upon him for being Pit’s clone.
Dark Samus: A creation of the Reapers, Dark Samus was created to mock the original and be her superior in every way. A barely sentient cyborg/clone, Dark Samus wants to be “alive” more than anything, and will do whatever it takes to make sure the Reapers succeed, for when they do they promised to grant her “life”.
Donkey Kong: Another Cerberus experiment gone wrong, Donkey Kong was the result of a Cerberus attempt to create Super Soldiers using animal DNA. DK was the most successful, but did not appreciate his confinement. So he busted out, leading a massive exodus of genetically engineered apes and monkeys, where they eventually found themselves on a planet to colonize. Little did they know, it was the home planet of the Yawhg...
Diddy Kong: DK’s adopted son and heir, Diddy is determined to live up to his foster dad’s legacy. Because his people are constantly at war with the Yawhg, Diddy has been forced to grow up quickly. His technical genius has been a boon to his people, leading to their salvation more than once.
Duck Hunt: A tame varren who made friends with a flying mutant pyjack.
Fox: Fox McCloud is a human Specter, and the current leader of the “Star Fox” team: an elite unit of soldiers put together by the Council with the express purpose of addressing and investigating the Reaper threat. Fox has made startling headway into the investigation, and dreads whatever else he might find.
Falco: A turian Specter, and Fox’s best friend/rival. Falco is a hot-headed bad-ass and a damn fine pilot, but his recklessness get him into trouble. However, unknown to anyone but Fox, Falco is the illegitimate son of Saren Atrerius, and will do almost anything to shake himself of his father’s dark legacy.
Ganondorf: No one is sure what Ganondorf once was. But what is known is that he is ancient. Older than human comprehension. He is, in fact, the last of the race that the Reapers originally were. His body has long since decayed, leaving only his mind electronically preserved. He was foound by Cerberus, and taken to a remote facility, where he reawakened and swiftly took over the facility. He has now constructed himself a new body. One made from the DNA of humans, krogan, turians, and asari, and reinforced with geth cybernetics. Now with Biotics unmatched and technical power unequaled, he will stop at nothing to achieve his aims. His goal? Take control of the reapers, and subsequently the whole Galaxy.
Greninja: A turian soldier, more than that, one trained in stealth and assassination. While originally loyal to the Hierarchy, Greninja has recently become disillusioned with the way things run, and has become more and more belligerent of orders. But soon, he may have to choose which side he falls on in what is to come.
The Ice Climbers: A pair of quarian twins who have taken to researching new worlds for the quarians to potentially settle. Their studies have found that colder climates would make a more suitable habitat for them, and have taken to studying the polar regions of planets. But their research has also dug up Reaper artifacts leading them to shift their focus away from colonization, to war.
Ike: The leader of the Alliance Corsair’s, a group of Alliance military ships that are technically off the books. Ike, is a second-generation Marine, but already his exploits have earned him respect and admiration from his fellow Corsairs and the Alliance military. Ike is strong-willed and a true champion of the people, hunting down any and all foes of the Alliance. But now he must turn his attention to the coming threat of the Reapers.
Incineroar: A mutate creature meant to fight for the Alliance, but escaped into the wild. He was eventually found and recruited by Pokemon Trainer.
Inkling: A child asari who has commandeered a vessel with their friends, looking for fun and adventure. They have been traveling the galaxy for a while, seeking new worlds and new adventures. But recent events are forcing them to take responsibility for their place in the Galaxy, and to answer the call of duty.
Isabelle: Isabelle is actually not military of any kind. She is a civilian, helping to oversee the construction of a new colony. It’s not her fault that it was on top of an ancient Reaper cache! Now she is forced to turn her colonists into a militia, to fight the coming onslaught.
Jigglypuff: A karaoke AI that gained sentience and fled in a robotic body. Now she’s a singer on Omega and is one of Aria T’Loak’s favorite members of her “court”.
Ken: One of two human Biotics raised by a turian martial artist to be warriors of and fighters. Ken is now a sport fighter, making hundreds of credits a night by winning matches. However, Ken’s sense of responsibility is strong, and the coming conflict will need his power.
King Dedede: A mysterious alien being from millions of years ago of incredible power and strength. However, his main goal seems to be to eat as much food as possible in the entire Galaxy. While he makes noise at being evil, he is really a big and friendly guy. However, he has great knowledge of the Reapers, and has sworn to help the Galaxy fight them. ...Right after lunch.
King K. Rool: A Yawhg who escaped the quarantine around his planet and now raises havoc as a pirate and crime lord with his Yawhg followers. K Rool is a creature of greed and cruelty, seeking as much pleasure and wealth as he can. However, Now that he has learned of DK’s presence on his home planet, he hunts him with a terrifying fervor. Too bad DK is usually too much for him too handle.
Kirby: One of King Dedede’s race, Kirby is an Elder Being of phenomenal cosmic power that may be able to save the galaxy from the reapers. Unfortunately he is also still a baby, and as such it is difficult to get him motivated.
Link: Link was a human raised by a turian exile who left the Hierarchy after his stalwart commitment to justice led him to mutiny during humanity’s “First Contact War”. Link was raised with that unbending commitment to justice in mind, and it shows. Trained to be the ultimate soldier, Link is now a galactic vigilante, fighting crime lords, slavers, and all manner of scum and villainy. He has even earned a moniker: The Star Knight. However, he refuses to be beholden to any government, since he believes them to be useless and inefficient. But lately his dreams have been dark. Terrible machines from the darkness. He must be ready.
Little Mac: Like Ken and Ryu, Little Mac is a free-lance fighter in the various galactic circuits. Or at least he was, until he was mutated by Eez-O. Now he is a super soldier, drafted by the alliance to help them fight the Reaper invasion. But little does Mac know, he is a secret Cerberus Project. And now they want their property back.
Lucario: Lucario is a powerful Biotic, and an experiment of Cerberus in combining human and asari DNA. As such, he also has unprecedented psychic abilities. Lucario, however, left Cerberus in a rather brutal fashion and carrying a jaded view of humans. This was changed, however, when he met Pokemon Trainer.
Lucas: Lucas is one of two human children who were given unprecedented Biotic powers when an asteroid from beyond the Galaxy landed in their colony. Now, struggling to control his new powers, Lucas finds himself at the center of a war he never wanted to be a part of. The Reaper War.
Lucina: The daughter of Commander Chrom, Lucina is a Staff Sargent int he Alliance Navy. She hopes to live up to her father’s legacy, but lately her days have been haunted by nightmares of the future. Visions of the extinction of the human race, begun by her father’s death. She must stop this from happening. It is the only way.
Mario: Mario is a former human Specter, but retired due to his increasing age. He is now an Fleet Admiral, commanding the Alliance’s forces from his flagship “The Mushroom Pride”. It is also well known that he is in a relationship with the daughter of an asari Matriarch.
Luigi: Luigi is his brother, but simply in his shadow. Luigi, however, doesn’t mind much, as his duty is more important than any potential fame and glory. He is also in a relationship with Daisy.
Marth: A human General, Marth is a young but respected commander of men. He is a founding member of the Corsair’s, and willing to go to any length to fight for humanity. However, he now finds himself in a hopeless war against beings older and more terrible than any in this galaxy. He cannot win, unless he convinces the Elder Beings King Dedede and Kirby to help.
Mega Man: An illegally created AI battle robot, Mega Man has travelled the galaxy in search of purpose. He finally found one among the geth, who accepted him as one of their own. He is now an ambassador of sorts between the geth and the organic races.
Meta Knight: The third Elder Being to be awakened, Meta Knight was a military leader in his day, of a nation that spanned the galaxy. But now he must goad Kirby and King Dedede into action against the Reapers, for the sake of all organic life.
Mewtwo: An attempt at recreating an ancient race of psychic aliens by the asari that went horribly wrong. Mewtwo broke loose, and now searches for purpose among the stars. He has now found it on Rosalina’s home.
Mii Brawler / Mii Gunner / Mii Fighter: AI warriors created by Cerberus to fight for them.
Mr. Game & Watch: A primitive AI that just wants to help.
Ness: The other child who was made a super-Boiotic by the asteroid that hit their home planet, Ness is the more confident of the two. He is clear in his purpose. To help in the fight against the Reapers.
Captain Olimar: A quarian investigating new worlds for the quarians to settle, Olimar is a botanist and scientist who despises violence. But his discovery of a new planet and a new species under threat by the Reapers, Olimar must find his courage and fight for the future.
Pac-Man: A salarian STG commander who’s team has been investigating the Reaper threat. Their findings have been spine-chilling, and now they find themselves hunted by Reaper forces.
Palutena: An Asari Matriarch who believes int he Reaper threat and wishes to prepare for it. As such she is mustering as many ships and soldiers as she can and prepare the Galaxy for what is to come.
Peach: The daughter of an asari matriarch who, like Palutena, is trying to rouse the galaxy against the coming threat. Peach, however, is working with her lover, Admiral Mario, to rouse the people of the galaxy.
Pichu: An experiment by Cerberus to create a new for of electrical life form. It succeeded, and now Pichu is roaming free on a new world.
Pikachu: The same as Pichu but bigger.
Piranha Plant: A Thorian creeper that gained sentience. It now wanders the stars with Bowser, serving his new Master’s will.
Pit: A turian, the one from which Dark Pit was cloned. A gifted Biotic, Pit is the captain of Matriarch Palutena’s personal guard.
Pokemon Trainer (Charizard, Ivysaur and Squirtle): The Illusive Man’s child, Red is determined to rescue as many of their father’s twisted experiments as he can. The creatures he rescues share a powerful bond with them, and will fight and die for them.
R.O.B.: A geth unit who fights beside Mega Man and fights for the future of his people. He seeks the destruction of the Reapers and the death of the traitorous geth who follow them.
Robin: A powerful Biotic and one of Chrom’s crew, Robin is a brave and loyal person who whole-heartedly believes in their comander. Robin is more of a support fighter than a front lines sort of Biotic, but their abilities make them invaluable on the field.
Rosalina: An asari matriarch who leads a biotic compound for all races on a private space station called “Asgard”. Rosalina is one of the most powerful biotics in existence, and seeks to train others of every race to use their gifts for good. Her altruism extends even to the krogan and the vorcha, and has been a powerful voice behind the efforts to remove the genophage.
Roy: Roy is Marth’s right-hand man. he is a ferocious soldier and technical expert, and is another founding member of the Corsairs. He has been with Marth since the beginning.
Richter Belmont: A member of a military family, one specifically trained to hunt rogue Biotics. As such, Richter is naturally resistant to Biotic abilities and any damage they cause. A bit arrogant, Richter has a good heart that is too often ruled by his hot head.
Ridley: A monster. He was a Yawhg originally, but was captured and experimented on by Cerberus until he was a twisted shadow of what he once was. He now roams the stars as an emissary for Cerberus, hunting down potential experimental subjects. However, sometimes his Yawhg aggression comes out and he goes on rampages. As is what happened on colony V-R-19, where Samus’s parents dies.
Ryu: Ken’s adopted brother and rival, Ryu travels the galaxy seeking worthy foes and the answers to his past. However, he soon finds himself enrolled in the Reaper War.
Samus: When Ridley killed Samus’s parents she was found and raised by the most unlikely of foster family. A small group of Prothean survivors, preserved beneath her colony. Samus was enhanced with their DNA, and turned into an unstoppable tool of destruction and war. Samus is, however, ruled by her sense of duty and commitment to her cause. she prepares to face the ancient enemy of her adopted species, the Reapers.
Shulk: Shulks life was... ordinary. Until, of course, the Heretic Geth attacked his home. Ever since his people have been  at war, barely holding their own on their colony world, cut off from their native planet of Earth. However, Shulk has recently found something that may turn the tide. An ancient Reaper weapon. The Monado.
Simon Belmont: The patriarch of the Belmont family, a family that hunts rogue Biotics. A bit older and more jaded than Richter, but his heart is no less kind. He pursues his family’s ancient goal of hunting the ancient rogue Biotic: Dracula.
Solid Snake: A human and leading member of FOXHOUND, a Spec-Ops group founded for the express purpose of fighting Cerberus. But Snake is, in fact, a creation of Cerberus. Another of their experiments that has turned on his creators. snake is an old soul in a young body, having seen too much in too brief a time.
Sonic: A turian warrior, possessing an affinity for speed biotics that none others can match. Free-wheeling and fun-loving, Sonic is a maverick who just wants to help as many people as possible. He is also old friends with Admiral Mario.
Toon Link: Link’s clone, created by the Alliance in secret, hoping to recreate Link’s natural solder abilities. However, he ran from the Alliance and has joined a group of benevolent Pirates.
Villager: A powerful AI that seeks to fight the Reapers and gain true sentience and humanity.
Wario: A mindless and greedy thug of a krogan who works for Ganondorf for money. He does bot care that he is betraying he species.
Wii Fit Trainer: A civilian who has recently enlisted alongside Little Mac to fight the Reapers.

Moodboard: Jaime x Brienne - Fugitive Mutants AU
The Long Night was supposed to be the turning point in the war against the Others. Humans finally united in one spirit, put all of their petty fights of politics and powers aside in favor of the survival of the human race against the threat coming from North of the Wall.
And indeed it was a turning point, just not the one people expected.
In fact, a turn for worse, some many would say now.
Biological warfare was meant to help the cause, known as Project Wildfire, but it didn’t help at all. In fact, it only led to the creation of new kinds of “monsters,” or at least so perceived, as mutations started to spread throughout the Seven Kingdoms, taking all kinds of forms that no one even thought was genetically possible.
And so, when the Long Night came to an end, the rift between people could not have been greater. The provisional government was overthrown, some of the supposed heroes of the war either having left their lives or retreating back to Essos or wherever else they believed it safe, and Westeros was thrown into even more chaos than that which the White Walkers brought forth.
The towns are mostly wastelands, and the rift between non-mutants and mutants keeps leading to fights, massacres, a struggle for resources and power over what is now supposed to be “the norm.”
A lot of mutants, now fueled by their new powers, the likes of shapeshifting Jaqen H’ghar leading the Faceless Men or Melisandre whose mutation lets her control fire setting forth with her mission of cleansing the world of its sins, keep gaining more and more followers amongst the mutants, as most are fed up or done running away from the non-mutants chasing them like prey.
The humans, the non-mutants, they remain afraid of those people and their abnormal abilities, struggling against those who use their powers to gain dominion, overpower them, if not worse.
And so, there is no society, there are only small factions of mutants and non-mutants, struggling for survival and somehow keeping the upper hand in a fight with uncertain outcomes.
Jaime Lannister and his brother Tyrion did not join any of the factions, however, rather keeping on the road. The older sibling is well aware that joining a side would be suicidal, since Tyrion was part of the science team that launched Project Wildfire. What started out as an almost innocent quest of finding energy resources for the upcoming war soon ebbed into creating the most potent bio weapon the world has ever seen, building on the knowledge of the natural resource wildfire used many years back, most infamously by Aerys Targaryen. Having had no time for proper testing, only one at Blackwater Bay that already foreshadowed nothing but bad coming from this mess, the new, bio weapon of wildfire was brought to the North to turn the tide in the war against the Others. Tyrion became the figurehead of this agenda, was all over TV promoting it, unaware of most of the consequences at that point of time.
And that means that some many people want his head now, mutants and non-mutants alike.
Jaime also fell victim to the bio hazard as he joined the war in the North as one of the generals. His body is slowly but surely turning into gold without him having any means of controlling it. It started with his fingers but now starts to spread all across his right hand, and if Tyrion stands correct, it may be that at some point he will be a golden statue or his system is going to collapse, shut down, die. Jaime feels ever the more worn down as this was his strong hand, and he can’t use it for much of anything as of now, as heavy as the thing grew over time. Which is why he is ever the more frantic to know his little brother someplace safe, preferably a lab where Tyrion can work on a solution, as the younger brother keeps assuring him that there is a way out of this mess if he is given the resources.
And so, one of those days while on the road towards another city in the hope of finding a working laboratory and not yet another one that was burned down or turned to ruins by those who have given up on the sciences, they run into a group of three: a tall, blonde woman and two young girls with red and brunette hair.
“You are Tyrion Lannister,” the blonde woman notes once they face one another, her blue eyes always on alert.
“… Afraid so.”
The woman makes her discontent no secret, soon drawing her sword on the two. Jaime gets in front of his little brother, ready to defend his life, but they are interrupted when a group of mutants catch sight of them and want to play catch, hunting and killing them all.
“Why would they be after you?” Jaime asks. He knows why they are after Tyrion and him – but why would those three be on their list as well?
“It may be that I got into a fight with one of them?” the dark-haired girl admits.
“When did that happen?” the red-haired, older girl wants to know.
“When you were getting water?”
“What did I say about that?!” the blonde woman curses.
“I thought they were Freys.”
“Doesn’t matter!”
And so, the five have to work together in order to escape the assault as they are clearly outnumbered. The group eventually comes to a drained sewer system on the outskirt of town and the two fighters of the group tell the others to hide away.
“I will fight!” the dark-haired girl insists.
“You will stay with your sister and protect her,” the blonde insists.
“Sometimes it sucks that I have to put up with a non-mutant for a sister.”
“You are not much better as a mutant,” the red-haired girl scoffs.
“Sansa, Arya, quit it now! This is important!”
“Sorry, Brienne.”
Jaime and Brienne hence get back out to take on the remaining members of the group chasing them. Jaime is impressed that the woman can wield the sword the way she does, competing against the mutants as though she was one as well, taking down even guys bearing guns. While somewhat nostalgic in his opinion, Jaime used to have a fancy for those weapons back in the old life himself, which is why he finds it almost charming. However, things take a turn for worse when someone manages to wrestle the sword from her when Jaime fails to have her back thanks to his stupid right. Jaime already means to shout, but that is when the sword moves on its own, back into her hand and Brienne has the remaining troublemaker at the tip of her blade, ready to strike.
“I can do more than that, so you better stay away now. Get lost,” she snarls – and that is apparently enough to make the men retreat at last.
“… I thought you were a non-mutant,” Jaime comments once they are gone.
“Then you thought wrong. C’mon now, the second group is not far from here,” she argues. “We should take refuge and hope that they won’t see us in the sewers.”
“Right,” he agrees.
Thus, down the drain they go, waiting for the group of mutants to hopefully lose interest and go some other way again.
“Why didn’t you use your abilities at once? That could have saved us quite some trouble,” Jaime comments, still trying to make sense of this rather colorful bunch of non-mutants and mutants. Because Jaime thought that he was one of very, very few, if not the only one, who teamed up with a non-mutant. In the course of the latest events, there are two sides and no middle ground whatsoever. You are either mutant or non-mutant, and that is the side you stand on. So it does strike him as odd that here he finds a woman who is a mutant but doesn’t use her abilities, taking care of sisters who are non-mutant and mutant.
“I rather fight with a sword than with what my mind can do – because I know what I can do with a sword, but I don’t want to know what I can do with my mind thanks to that mutation,” Brienne tells him. “A sword I can control with discipline… but how do you control your own mind?”
Once the danger has passed, the five climb back out of the sewer, planning their next steps. Reckoning that parting is no option for the moment, the five agree to a “truce” to travel together until they are out of the immediate danger zone.
Jaime and Tyrion are thus granted the time to ask some questions about that curious trio now travelling alongside them. While Brienne is reluctant at first, she eventually offers some explanation as to how they came to stay together in that fashion:
Brienne took care of Sansa and Arya following Catelyn’s death. She and Arya are so-called “First Draft” mutants, as both ended up in close periphery to the tests at Blackwater Bay, and are thus some of the first to ever having displayed mutations. Jaime, as a “Second-Draft,” was directly contaminated up North by contrast.
“It was in the air, it was in the water – and it got carried far further than you and your science team ever thought,” Brienne tells Tyrion, who is bound to admit that this was a risk they knew about, but took regardless because they saw no other alternative to defeat the White Walkers anymore.
Brienne, for her part, started showing early when it came to her abilities and had no means of controlling her powers by that time. Catelyn was one of the first people aside from Renly who approached her without being too scared. When Renly was murdered thanks to Melisandre’s mutation not just involving controlling fire but also being able to cast living shadows, Cat took Brienne with her as people would have blamed her for that, knowing of Brienne’s strong abilities. Brienne tried to help Cat reunite with her children after they were scattered all across the Seven Kingdoms during the wars, and vowed to their protection. When Cat died, Brienne set out to find the girls. Arya had joined the Faceless Men to get revenge on her murdered family whereas Sansa did anything she could to survive, sticking to a man like Petyr Baelish to somehow keep her head above water as everything spun out of control.
Brienne eventually succeeded in tracking down Sansa eventually. She wanted to take her to Winterfell, back home, but all lay in ruins already by the time they arrived. It was then that they unexpectedly found Arya, as she had also set back home before continuing her list of people she wants to see dead. Brienne, in an effort to contain Arya from further harm, meant to make a deal by showing the young girl that she didn’t need her powers to murder, that she didn’t have to use them for bad through not using her own either.
While Arya remains set on getting revenge on those who wronged her and her family, she grew to respect Brienne over time, even more so when she risked her life some many times to know them safe. Ever since, they have been wandering around, looking for a place where they can be together and at peace, because they don't make the difference between mutant and non-mutant.
When Tyrion tells them about his plan to create an antidote, the three eventually decide to help the man, regardless of their personal misgivings, though Brienne remains weary of the outcome, knowing that most mutants are keen on keeping their powers now that they have them, Arya included, who believes that her only way of getting revenge on the people who took her family away is by using the abilities she got through the mutation and enhanced through her horrid training under Jaqen H’ghar.
Tyrion is aware of the circumstance that not everyone would want the antidote, but he wants to save his brother – and for that, he needs it, no way around it.
“I do believe that one of my biggest debts to pay to the people is to give them the choice back. We gave them no choice as to whether they wanted to be exposed to the wildfire or not, because we weren’t careful enough and took too many risks. But if we have an antidote, then there is a choice again.”
As they continue their quest to a workable laboratory, Jaime and Brienne are bound to learn that, against all odds, they have much more in common than meets the eye, as both are afraid that their mutation may cause more harm than good and that they are afraid of showing that concern to those they love. Just like their mutual respect soon ebbs into more, finding solace in the arms of that one person who seems to understand the other’s personal demons and fears, even if normally unvoiced.
When they finally reach a lab that Tyrion can use, the scientist sets out to the task, meaning to repay some of his debt, whereas Jaime and Brienne prepare for keeping the laboratory safe until he is finished, well aware that it may cost them their lives as mutants as well as non-mutants are on the rise against them.
Which leaves the question whether the two who grew incredibly close in the course of the journey cannot just wrestle against non-mutants and mutants meaning to cut them down but also their own abilities.
Will they be able to control the chaos and bring unity?
Or will they fail like humanity failed during the Long Night?

tbh it feels like the writers don’t know what to do with the other members of the underground because they’re too busy trying to build up the struckers arc. we had lorna having to deal with the prison system and her own pregnancy, marcos striking a deal with the cartel, clarice seeking revenge on ss for the murder of her foster guardians and her search for her biological family and john trying to save pulse and yet all four arcs were abandoned before they could even really grow. lorna is broken out of transit, marcos’ deal with the cartel is over after one mission, clarice is captured and pulse is killed and there was so much potential there.
we could have seen lorna unite her fellow imprisoned mutants ( perhaps even establish allies amongst the humans & have lorna learn / become more sympathetic towards those forced into criminal syndicates ) and lead a prison riot / escape / revolution. not to mention bring attention to a broken, bias and unfair justice system.
we could have had marcos arc with the cartel, forced to work alongside his former gangsters, struggling with his self-identity -- eclipse, one of 3 co-leaders of the mutant underground, fighting for equality and safety for mutants across the world while also seeking a way to rescue his girlfriend and his unborn child vs his identity as the cartel’s former enforcer where he had the freedom to use his powers / abilities however he saw fit, where he was feared rather than living in fear. we could have seen marcos struggling to find a place between his two identities whilst simultaneously working towards saving the love of his life.
we could have had clarice finding her warm jelly donut in the form of her love and loyalty towards her family. fighting to protect her foster siblings, fighting against sentinel services and finding strength in numbers as well as learning to control and utilize her powers. becoming one of the most wanted mutants because of her ability to portal in and grab whomever she wants and portal out, clarice the escape artist who learns to fight for more than just herself and builds a bond with other mutants who have visible mutations
we could have had john’s arc revolve more around saving people. built more on his need to protect everyone under his care, focused on his military history. was he a registered mutant in the marines and if yes what kind of impact did that have on him and how did mutant service differentiate to human service? could have focused on john’s skill and strategist skills in rescuing fugitives and refugees and pushed more on john’s need to save pulse. ACTUALLY HAD HIM SAVE PULSE!!! had him trying to juggle being a co-leader of the underground AND his personal need to save his best friend. had his best friend actually rescued from SS and trask industries and had john help him through withdrawals and getting clean. having john actually bring pulse back to himself. not only would that give john a story, but it would have built up pulse’s arc as well!!!
like??? come the fuck on man we had so much potential going for us and instead we get???? constant mind raping??? memory manipulations????? ill advised and hastily planned laboratory attacks?? 0 character integrity and just??? uselessness

Metamorphosis
A/N Prompt: When Lorna and Marcos decide to send Aurora away for her safety, but something drastic happens that changes everything.
When their little girl is born, Lorna and Marcos are caught between the throes of glee and partial relief. Because Aurora is everything they wanted and so much more. From her ten fingers to ten toes and pale olive skin that balances out to a perfect colour under the sunlight, not too dark nor too light, but a perfect balance and equated tone of both their skin tones and her bright brownish green eyes, Aurora could literally pass off as a normal human child—well, if she had not had her mutation exposed that early of course, because one of the cons of having your mutation as a baby was that you tend to use it more often, subconsciously rather than consciously because it’s more of a reflex or an extension of yourself that you can’t control.
Marcos remembers Lorna shrieking in the headquarters kitchen, as they found their five month old daughter squealing in blatant happiness, gurgling as she sat in a metal pot, her small fingers opening and clasping the rim of the pot as it floated round and round in circles alongside all the other dangerous metallic objects that were present in the kitchen. (They ended up getting plastic knives and utensils instead, with all the metallic knives and dangerous objects kept under lock and key in Lorna’s drawers.) Even John was amazed at the amount of subconscious control Aurora could exhibit over her abilities in spite of her age, though it could be said that her emphatic abilities were yet another cause of serious debate. “She could very well be the next powerful Omega level mutant, you know.” Lorna rolls her eyes as she holds their daughter and John brushes past, tapping and tweaking the small baby’s nose, grinning with satisfaction as it draws a high pitched peal of delighted laughter. Lorna simply runs her hands through her daughter’s long black locks, and sighs. Time and the constant running had taught her a few things, especially when it came to Aurora. Until it was absolutely necessary for Aurora to learn how to fight, she wasn’t going to take the risks of letting her child live like a fugitive. And hence when it neared Aurora’s fifth birthday, Lorna and Marcos made a desperate decision. The Sentinel Services were closing in, and there definitely was a limited amount of people they could protect or send through, with the tight protocols and security at the borders that had been increased over the years. They were going to send Aurora away. Far away. To a nice normal family that accepted her mutant abilities and would help her conceal them. And they broke the news to their little girl on the week before her birthday. That night, Aurora threw the largest, the wildest and the most emotionally messed up emphatic tantrum any four year old could cook up. Headquarters became a range of messed up jumbled emotions, with people crying almost everywhere, wailing in tandem with their four year old’s healthy set of lungs, the large drops of tears falling from her bright eyes and chubby cheeks. “No! Don’t wanna go!” “Aurora—” Lorna tried to go for a hug to comfort their distraught daughter, but Aurora simply pushed her heavily, sprinting for the door in her small pattered footsteps into Caitlin’s arms, burying her small face into the human doctor’s shoulder as she wailed. Caitlin glanced helplessly at them. “Just…take her with you for a while.” Lorna tried not to let her voice crack with emotion as she passes a hand over her face, the pain in her chest expanding with each breath, knowing that she would probably never see her daughter again after the week. “Give her some time.” Caitlin whispers, running a soothing hand over the mother and child’s back as Lorna tried to hug her daughter yet again, only to get pushed back by a small sweaty palm, defiant and angry. Lorna nods silently, the words she’s unable to utter stuck in the depths of her throat as Marcos silently wraps his arms around her waist. I love you. …. But Aurora was smart. For a four year old, she immediately noticed the fact that all those mutants with visible mutant quirks on their hair, face etc were left behind at the headquarters with their families—which meant that only mutants who could blend in with society were sent away. And as all impulsive little children who wanted to stay with their parents did, Aurora snuck a huge bottle of spray hair dye out of the storage unit (Lorna and Marcos didn’t know how the hell she managed to recognise that, but Aurora’s their kid, and as a mix of both of them, things related to delinquency tended to come to her more naturally than it should) and dyed her hair a bright pink, staining her clothes, hands and basically—all of her body. “Look! I’m pink! I get to stay with you, right?!” Lorna very nearly laughs at the dismal sight if her young daughter, in all her pink glory, patches of pink dye obvious on her neck and face, as well as hands as she crosses her feet and tried to hide the evidence. “I woke up this morning and am pink!” She tugs on Lorna’s pants, demanding. “I get to stay with you right?” “Sure, peanut.” Aurora’s only disappointed when her mother ruffles her hair and turns away, making no decision to change their plans, only to drag her kicking and screaming in Spanish to the bathroom for an hour long of scrubbing the pink dye out of her dark hair and body. And that was only the first day of Aurora’s creative attempts to get to stay. Soon she begin turning up with makeup on her face. Badly, drawn makeup on her face. “Sweetie, did you touch Mommy’s makeup?” Lorna eyes her four year old with skeptical eyes as she looks at the smudged lipstick at the corners of the little girl’s mouth, and and the Kohl around her eyes messily drawn and dripping down in the most ugly way possible. “Nope! I woke up and was like that! Mutant!” Lorna only sighs and totters her toddler to the bathroom, and they resume an hour or two of hair pulling, deafening screaming as Lorna scrubs the makeup off her daughter’s face and clothes yet again, with Aurora wailing that Johnny had lied to her about some mutants being born with their mutant powers being something along the lines of pretty make up all ready on their faces. Just like that, the week passed, and Lorna was dreading more than ever as they woke up on their daughter’s fifth birthday to the last day they would probably ever spend with Aurora. She clenched the locket she had as a second hand present for her daughter as a momento between her fingers, playing with the chain as Marcos traced circles on her back, both of them unable to sleep, when their daughter bursts in suddenly, still in pyjamas and with her body scrunched up like as though something terribly frightening had happened. “Peanut!” Lorna’s the first to react to her daughter’s apparent distress, clambering across their bed to reach their five year old, dressed in hand me down pyjamas too big for her frame and her feet curling uncomfortably over each other. “What’s wrong?” Aurora glances up tentatively at her mother, and Lorna’s breath is taken away by the sight of her bright eyes, brownish green in her irises only the day before, but a blinding bright mint green this time. It’s both stunning, and somewhat ethereally beautiful, but disbelief strikes Lorna’s chest as she stares at her usually impish daughter. “Aurora Diaz-Dane. You did not wear contact lenses this time, right?” She watches as her daughter’s cheeks colour, before the child fervently shakes her head. “No?” Surprise colours hers and Marcos’ faces. “Are you sure? You’re not doing this to get to stay, aren’t you?” Aurora merely squeaks, shaking her head, and that’s when she starts to run her fingers through her long lustrous dark locks that both Lorna and her were so proud of. Clumps of dark hair started to fall away with each gentle tug of their little girl’s fingers, and Aurora whimpers as she holds up a handful of dark locks at her mother’s face. Lorna jerks out of the bed immediately, panic assaulting her senses. What was this? Cancer? A form of a dormant mutant quirks suppressed but suddenly exploding into view through the desperation of their daughter to stay with them forever? Her chest constricts tightly, and the first instinct she has is to turn to Marcos helplessly. “I’ll call Caitlin.” He promises just as she pulls her daughter tightly into her arms, comforting her child with body support as she buries her nose in the wonderful scent of her daughter’s hair. It’s minty from her bath last night, both of them having decided to spend their last night together with a splurge on the special shampoo reserved for special moments because of it’s minty smell. Aurora sniffles in her arms, and Lorna tightens her grip around her daughter, opening her eyes to the small bald patch where her dark locks used to lay that currently stayed limply in her hand. “It’s okay.” She whispers as she trains her eyes on that spot, watching with both horror and fascination as a lock of hair rapidly grows to replace the one she’d lost, this time, instead of a dark black colour, a mint green colour that curled past her shoulders and fell as a lock of her fringe. Another lock of black hair falls from her daughter’s scalp, only to be replaced by yet another lock of mint green hair. By the time Caitlin bursts into the room with her bag in tow and both Marcos and John behind her, she’s holding her daughter tightly with both arms, repeating the mantra of “it’s okay” in Aurora’s ear, being able to give nothing but uttered reassurance to her five year old as her daughter buries her face in Lorna’s shoulder, the remains of her once dark hair scattered on the floor, a whole new fresh head of mint green hair sprouting and falling past her shoulders in curled locks.
Aurora’s new hair
Tumblr media
…. “As far as I can be sure of, there’s nothing wrong with her.” Caitlin shines a light into their daughter’s newly coloured eyes, watching as the mint green pupils follow the bright light with a kind of fervent attentiveness. Nothing can wipe off the bright smile off their daughter’s face as Lorna stares worriedly at Marcos, their plans for daughter’s safety twisted and mangled in a useless heap the moment her mutation decided to take on a more viciously obvious colouring in her physical characteristics. “But why? Why now?” Caitlin sighs at Lorna’s question. “I don’t know, maybe some God did hear about that fervent prayer I hear her say every night before bed about letting her stay with her Mommy and Daddy.” Lorna worries her bottom her lip as Caitlin affectionately ruffles her daughter’s mint green hair. “And I like your new hair, baby girl. It’s pretty.” The answering smile on their daughter’s face is more than dazzling. Her exuberance and delight at this new change has nearly got her bouncing in her shoes, but that was not what Lorna had wanted for her child—a life well away from the horrors they had to experience was what she wanted for Aurora, now that she had a daughter of her own, Lorna finally understood the angers and desperation that Caitlin had confronted her with when she started training Andy and Lauren to protect themselves. “It wasn’t supposed to be like this.” She whispers, her arms curling around her chest uncomfortably as Aurora fidgets, sensing the darkening change in her mother’s aura and emotions. “Hey.” Marcos pulls her away from that reverie. “Maybe we should starting thinking from what she truly wants instead of the other way around first.” She curls into his shoulder, the worry, panic and fear all stuttering deep in her chest as she breathes, the thought of the Sentinel Services being able to lay their filthy hands on her daughter should she stay a terrible thought that couldn’t be swept away. “But what if—” “We won’t.” John steps in this time. “One more one less makes no difference. And Lorna, no parent should be away from their child.” Lorna’s own eyes turns to her daughter, nervous and relieved at the thought of being able to keep her in her sights at all times. “Okay. Okay.” She takes a deep breath as she gathers Aurora into her arms. “Let’s make a deal, baby.” Her daughter’s intelligent eyes stare at hers solemnly. “If you’re staying with us there’s got to be curfew, alright? Curfew and you can’t go running around anywhere or everywhere without telling Daddy or Mommy—” “But I get to stay with you right?” Her daughter cuts her off, a small finger on Lorna’s lips and a demanding tone to her question. “Yes, but—” “Forever and Always?” Aurora interrupts yet again, and Lorna nearly reels back at the fervent anguish and desperation in her daughter’s eyes. “Because I wanna stay!” She demands, and Lorna’s heart ached, then swells as she pulls her daughter into a crushing hug. “Are you having happy tears?” Her daughter’s loud but worried demands fills her ears. “You’re staying. Of course I’m happy.” Lorna promises, her words choked as she feels tears running down in both desperation and relief down her face. “I’m never leaving you again, right?” “Never ever.” Marcos echoes the sentiment she can’t speak, and pulls them into a warm tight hug.
Okay, so I’m trying out that Keep Reading thing (I dunno if it works, and those extra tags that anon wanted to see in my tumblr work)
Hopefully this makes it much easier for everyone to see it! Though it means whipping out my keyboard and typing it out painstakingly on my trashy laptop even though I wrote it conveniently on my phone.

PROTO-DEATH METAL VOCALS IN AMERICAN HARDCORE -- CLASS OF '83.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on Arlington, Virginia "outsider" hardcore punk band UNITED MUTATION, established 1980 as DARK SELF IMAGE, and now infamous among hardcore circles for having some of the grimmest, most grotesque vocals of their day.
YOU BREED LIKE RATS: "How did Mike Brown come up with such a disgusting, and amazing, voice (years before many death metal and hardcore bands would adopt similar styles)?"
JAY FOX (U.M. bassist): "Mike Brown's voice… No effort was made, that's the way it came out. He eid work on it after the fact but it was never planned as a vocal style. We have been touted as being innovators in the style as well as criticized by people who seem to think we were bandwagon jumpers, but the truth is, that was Mike's voice. What you hear is what it was."

                     OVERVIEW :: SEASON TWO
TN: Spoilers ahead, obviously. This is an overview of the main events and points happening through season two of the TV series. Its main purpose is reminding me of what happened, and offering the people who want to write with me an insight on Vincent so that they can more or less get an idea of the setting a thread could take place in, since not a lot of people are familiar with the source material. The show canon will be used for any crossover with a fandom I’m not familiar with or don’t have a verse for yet. In these crossovers, it’s most important to me that Muirfield, Catherine Chandler and J.T. stick around, since they’re the largest pillars of Vincent life. I can be more flexible about the rest. If this sparks questions with you, you’re free to come and ask me!
This same information can be found on the about tab on my blog.
Vincent re-surfaces in New York three months after he was captured, and Catherine tracks him down. They find him stuck in a plot where he is captured by the creator of Muirfield. With the help of J.T. and Gabe Lowan, they manage to find him and notice something's changed about Vincent. His beast-senses have been modified in order to make him stronger and more lethal, with a focus on an assassin's skillset. And on top of it all, they must learn that Vincent's memory has been wiped out. Vincent manages to brush off his former friends to continue the mission they had come to disturb. Taking orders from his handler, his new purpose is to track and take down other beasts.
Despite everything, Vincent finds himself returning to Catherine from time to time. Even though he has lost all memory of her, she's still keen on winning him back one way or another. By that time, she's learned about his missions and ends up getting hurt by Vincent when she tried to gain more information about it. Seeking out J.T. to confess what he'd done to her, Vincent learns a few things about their former relationship he decides to use on Catherine in order to earn a second chance with her. Catherine suspects he's onto her with a lie instead, and Vincent doesn't get to prove himself to her until he ends up saving her on a mission. This, eventually, does trigger old memories at last.
With his memories returning to him, it becomes easier for Vincent to reunite with the others. Gabriel, who has lost his own beast-side after having been reanimated in the past, suggest they try it on one of the beasts Vincent is supposed to track down in order to figure out if it could work on Vincent as well. When Keller tracks down the other beast, he ends up getting knocked out in a burning building. He's admitted to the hospital where two arson officers come to question him. When Vincent learns one of the officers is his nephew Aaron Keller, he gets more flashbacks of his past and his family. He decides to help (and later on rescue) Aaron on an investigation that would lead him into the hands of the beast Vincent was tracking down.
When Catherine is attacked by a beast, Vincent is reunited with a soldier in his unit who had been presumed dead, just like Vincent. Though, Vincent is forced to kill Zach when he turns out to still be set on killing Catherine in order to settle an old score with Vincent, who he accuses of having taken his girlfriend from him back when they were in service.
With two beasts left to track, Vincent is sent to the penthouse of a high-profile businessman named Curt Windsor. However, Curt proves to be much stronger than Vincent, who chooses to save Curt's daughter Tori from her father when he tries to attack her. With Tori in safety, Vincent and the others agree to use her in an attempt to trap her father in order to get the beast out of him. Curt agrees, because it's his only way of getting his daughter back. When Curt attacks Vincent, Keller is forced to beast out in self-defense. He rips out Windsor's heart, instantly killing him.
Vincent's last mission turns out to be himself. This leads him to the decision to track down his handler with the help of J.T. and the others. When they find a lead to the FBI, they decide that Catherine and Vincent should spend Thanksgiving with her father (who works with the Bureau) in order to find out more. When Gabe and Tori appear, things go wrong once both Vincent and Tori reveal their beast sides. Vincent's senses are amplified by Tori, who wasn't aware of her beast side until then. With this shocking revelation, Vincent receives the order to kill Tori which leads him to find out Cahterine's father is his handler. While Catherine wants to arrest him, Vincent wants to kill him. Vincent listens to Tori when she tells him he should just go after his handler and not listen to Catherine. When their paths cross, Catherine is forced to shoot Vincent in order to save her father and have him incarcerated instead. Cat and Vincent's paths now run apart, and Vincent fins an opportunity to bond with Tori.
Vincent went into hiding after being shot. Tori takes care of him, as he refuses to go to a hospital out of fear of being exposed. Though he is forced to be admitted by Catherine after he came to the rescue when she and Tori had been blackmailed by beast hunters. With encouragement from Tori, Vincent comes forward and reveals himself to the press after having been admitted to the hospital. This gains him popularity as a war hero, but he doesn't enjoy the attention that comes with it. Instead, Vincent decides to focus on the shackle Tori and Catherine had found before they had been blackmailed by the hunters. They learn there is a gem to fit with the shackle, and that it creates a beast collar that can control beasts.
In order to lure out the beast hunters, Vincent purposely goes public with Tori as she wears the gem. The FBI gets onto them, and arrests Tori for theft. Vincent's path is brought back to Catherine once he learns the gem is connected to her ancestor. It puts an end to their animosity and they choose to instead work together in order to retrieve the gem that was stolen from them during a desperate heist by the beast hunters. This causes friction between Tori and Vincent.
J.T. gets kidnapped and Vincent finds out they are trying to capture a beast. Despite the warniings, he decides to track down his friend to a dungeon, but discovers that Tori also has been captured. She had her blood taken in order for a beast serum to be made, and could no longer be saved. Vincent feels guilty and responsible for her death and realizes he's been more beast than man all this time.
The attempt to track down the person who ordered J.T. to create the beast serum leads Vincent and Catherine towards Gabe, who was eventually set up by a scientist who had been set up by the same people who had set up J.T. in order to create a serum. It is the start of friction between Vincent and Gabe, who now is romantically involved with Catherine, for who Vincent still has feelings. He's willing to redeem himself to her to prove he's more man than beast.
Catherine and Vincent track down the scientist and learn that he is injecting people with a beast serum. He selects his victims carefully, which proves to Keller and Chandler that there is a gene that makes people change into beasts when injected with the serum. People without the gene will die when injected. When Vincent manages to track down a beast, he is defeated because he was hesitant to use his beast side because he wants to change for Catherine. When Vincent encounters the beast a second time, he is able to save him by reanimating him. Vincent hopes he could convince Catherine he's changed, but she remains with Gabe.
Their search for the scientist brings Vincent, Gabe and Cat to a masquerade ball where a secret group involved with Muirfield had gathered. When Catherine and Vincent can prevent the scientist from murdering the whole group, Vincent manages to convince him to help them put the group behind bars rather than kill them. Realizing Vincent has changed, Catherine decides to break up with Gabe.
When Vincent is arrested for the murder on Curt Windsor, Catherine suspects Gabe set Keller up out of jealousy. Vincent wants to protect Catherine by pleading guilty, but Catherine wishes to come forward as a witness to claim it was self-defense. To prevent this, Vincent deliberately starts a fight to get hurt in jail, so that he could escape from the hospital transport.
Catherine finds the fugitive Vincent on her rooftop, where he comes to say goodbye. Catherine then decides to run away with Vincent. Before they can escape, though, the police surround her place, and Catherine tells Vincent to go alone because she'll slow him down and he'll get caught. He leaves, but promises to come back for Catherine. His path soon returned to her when Catherine is missing. Vincent eventually tracks Catherine down, and finds out Catherine was taken by FBI agents who want her and Vincent's help to find an agent abducted by a terrorist cell. If they can save the agent, Vincent would be exonerated, though Gabe managed to block the attempt and Vincent is forced to go back into hiding.
Vincent and the team come up with a plot to get Gabe to back off and dig up an old murder case. When Gabe realizes they're onto him, he decides to counter them with a cold case himself. Vincent and Catherine's case comes to a hold after their only witness was killed by Gabe. In their attempt to find the body and expose Gabe for this new murder, Vincent is recognized on the street, and both of them are forced to go into witness relocation. During their absence, Gabe has lost all control and went insane over losing Catherine.
Returning back from witness relocation, Vincent is offered a second attempt at exoneration, but he needs to turn himself in. Vincent agrees, but is confronted by a reported planted by Gabe, who speaks up about his mutated DNA and him being a super soldier. She is shut down, and Vincent gets incarcerated. While in his cell, Vincent is approached by two agents who claim to work for the FBI. This was a setup. Vincent finds them watching Gabe's flat. He doesn't trust them and his attempt to escape was fruitless due to a tranquilizer bracelet that had been put on him. When Vincent wakes up, he learns that they were watching Gabe because he's a threat. Vincent offers to neutralize the threat in exchange that he is set free.
Gabe is threatened by Catherine, who tells him she will expose him if he ever tries to hurt Vincent again -- and Vincent learns that the men who had taken him from his cell have exonerated him, but that they have also taken a blood sample from him.
Gabe is targeted when the reported he'd planted at Vincent's press conference was murdered when she got her hard torn out. J.T. manages to figure out Gabe was able to become a beast again by injecting himself with one of the serums J.T. was forced to create. Vincent learns that Gabe is out to hurt everyone Keller holds dear. When J.T. is attacked by Gabe, Vincent decides to go after him on his own, but Catherine convinces him not to do so. They set up a plot and manage to trap Gabe, but before he can be arrested by the police he's killed by Catherine in self-defense. J.T. survives his attack as he was saved by the same agents who got Vincent out of jail. They come forward to Vincent and offer him and Catherine a chance in their investigation on beasts, and things far worse.

History Conor Cher Wilson was born to Wade Wilson and his partner Vanessa Carlysle following a series of misadventures across the world, and space-time. Despite Conor not being able to technically exist due to his mother’s death in at least two different timelines, and his lack of conception in many of them, his own father’s paradimensional nature allowed for Conor to exist in multiple timelines regardless of whether his existence SHOULD be possible.
Primarily, Conor’s upbringing was fairly pleasant, as his father’s heroic and mercenary activities didn’t provide any real danger to himself, and Wade had begun to take steps to protect his family more effectively from retaliation. However Conor will frequently bring up his parent’s sexually-free lifestyle, and his exposure to many remarks and jokes that he would call age-inappropriate in hindsight. His relationship with Vanessa and Wade was rather positive, even typical, with Wade teaching Conor how to kill a man before the age of 12..... Wait, what?
For a short time following the manifestation of his mutation, Conor would attend the Xavier’s Institute, and was even allowed to join The New Mutants. However, he would be expelled after it was found out that he had been masturbating into all of the food jars and containers.
Largely without direction Conor would enlist into the US military after high-school, pursuing the Marine Corps and excelling for a time. Within a year, however, Conor would be court martialed for several offenses including: Masturbating into and then resealing several hundred MREs, Tampering with military equipment and painting pink unicorns on an entire company-worth of helmets, and murdering a superior officer following the discovery of said officer’s sexual assault of his fellow platoon-member.
Despite the nature of his assault and murder of a superior, Wilson was still convicted for this and his smaller crimes, and was to be detained in Camp Pendleton for no amount of time less than a year, following which he was to be executed for the crime of murder. Feeling that he would be unable to appeal this decision with success, Conor would determine that his only way to survive was to escape. By attacking one of the guards, and stealing his rifle, Conor Wilson was able to ultimately break out of his detainment, before going underground.
By stealing into one of his father’s safe-houses, Conor has dawned the same Deadpool costume and begun to act as the Merc with A Mouth himself. Of course, he does so while actively trying to avoid contact WITH his family and any of their associates for the risk of being captured by the US Government again.
Physical Appearance Conor bears a strong resemblance to his father prior to Wade’s mutation, being a reasonably, but not overbearingly so, handsome man with brown hair. He possesses heterochromia that causes his left eye to be green in color.
Build-wise, Conor is younger and less muscular than his father, which can be apparent to any who know Wade’s own size relative to theirs. So someone like Spider-Man or Captain America would likely be able to tell the difference, as the second Deadpool is a full two inches shorter than normal, but someone like Franklin Richards would not likely notice such a change.
Abilities and Powers -Medium Awareness: After frequently having the situation and nature of his existence explained to Conor by Wade, he has come to understand that he’s a fictional character who has been created by an entity not affiliated with Marvel Comics and for a roleplay blog primarily. However, he does not have the ability to fully be aware of the fourth wall’s presence, and inconsistently will act as if the present medium is film, television, or comic books, not simply tumblr roleplay. -Skilled Martial Artist: Trained by his father in hand-to-hand combat, Conor never particularly favored fighting in this manner. However, he is often able to outclass single opponents who have a non-significant amount of training (effectively he is just below the par of what might be considered a “master”) and is easily able to handle multiple foes at the same time. This is likely affected by the fact that he has superior physical attributes and a healing factor to make fighting easier, though. -Weapons User: A skilled weapon-user, one can hardly call themselves Deadpool if they aren’t proficient in the use of two blades, and Conor is just this. Very adept in weaponry, it is the type of combat that the younger Wilson favors, particularly firearms. Considered a skilled Marksman, Wilson was hoping to train to become a USMC Scout Sniper prior to his discharge, and was more than capable of becoming one if not for his self-destructive career behaviors. As well, Conor is a master swordfighter, able to duel Wade for an extended period of time before losing. Conor is capable with most types of guns, although he often resorts to a “Spray and Pray” tactic with most handguns in an attempt to distract targets, or close distances. -Acrobat: Practiced and skilled in acrobatics, Conor is considered highly skilled in moving himself, and can easily jump, flip, and twist, without much effort. --Regenerative Healing Factor: Inherited from his father, it is believed that Conor’s healing factor is much like Wade’s in ability and longevity. Nothing has proven this to not be the case, but due to his age, and having not approached Hayflick Limit (or what a healing factor user’s equivalent would be) nearly as closely, it might be that at current Conor can heal marginally faster than Wade. --Enhanced Physical State: Thanks to the same healing factor that his father has, Conor’s body heals much more efficiently and effectively, improving his physical state to practically superhuman levels. His strength, speed, durability, reflexes, etc. are all fairly beyond that of what a normal human can achieve, although it can often be regarded as unimpressive among other superhumans.
Weaknesses and Limitations -Hayflick Limit: The bane of any healer, eventually Conor’s ability to heal will tax itself too far, and it will begin to slow. Due to him having only had his healing factor for less than a decade at this point, and not having taxed it too terribly, Conor has very little give on this. -Emotionally Unstable: Due to PTSD he has developed during his military service, the nature of his regeneration’s interaction with his brain cells, and an inheritance of his father’s quick-to-violence tendencies, Conor is not considered an emotionally stable person. He has murdered people in the past for crimes that others considered not his to act as punisher on, as well as going on to kill innocent people who were in his way when attempting to save his own life. This emotional instability can also manifest itself as a variety of disorders, phobias, and other mental states that almost seem to erratically change. -Intelligence and Tactics: Due to his having only finished high-school (barely) and having not received any significant education beyond this Conor is not a skilled tactician and can often be out-witted by others. -Compulsive Sexual Behavior: He jacked off into a Peanut Butter Jar for no apparent reason at Xavier’s, it’s why they kicked him out.
