Soft Spot
Summary: Harry Styles is the world’s most effortlessly cocky bastard in public. But behind closed doors? He’s soft for one person, her. Their love is private, sacred, the only thing that’s ever truly been his. But the internet is relentless, the rumors won’t stop, and she starts to wonder if she’ll ever fit into his world. Just when she’s about to pull away, Harry makes sure she never doubts it again. AKA: Soft (but also possessive) boyfriend Harry? Check. Jealous, protective, doesn’t-take-shit Harry? Also check. A public declaration, viral paparazzi moments, and one very necessary smut scene? You already know.
A/N: This fic is based on two requests (this one and this one from @dipmeinhoneyh) that fit so perfectly together I had no choice but to make it a full story. I hope you love it, I hope it makes you feral, and I hope you leave this feeling at least 10% more in love with Harry Styles than you already were. Also, if you ever see a man carrying all your bags through an airport while wearing your shirt?? Marry him immediately.
Word Count: 6k
Warnings:
Smut (obviously)—possessive, praise-heavy, SOFT but also FILTHY
Harry being the most protective, doting, airport-sherpa boyfriend alive
Jealousy and minor confrontation (because someone was dumb enough to question her worth)
Public scrutiny and social media toxicity (but don’t worry, he shuts that shit down)
Excessive amounts of boyfriend fluff (back rubs, forehead kisses, and “mine” moments galore)
Did I mention the smut? Because THE SMUT.
☆ ★ ✮ ★ ☆
Harry Styles was a menace.
Everyone knew it—especially the media. He wasn’t just the biggest name in music, he was also a nightmare to interview. He had little patience for industry bullshit, answered questions with nothing but a smirk or a sip of his drink, and rarely—if ever—gave the press what they wanted.
At this point, journalists had learned to come prepared when sitting across from him. They needed strategy, a solid game plan, and maybe even a shot of whiskey beforehand. Because Harry? Harry made it difficult.
And God, did he enjoy it.
The first clip that went viral was from a BBC interview.
The journalist was older, seasoned. She’d been in the game for decades and knew how to handle difficult personalities. Or at least, she thought she did.
The interview had been going fine—as fine as an interview with Harry Styles could be. He’d leaned back in his chair, one arm draped over the backrest, looking like he owned the place. Dressed in a half-unbuttoned silk shirt and tailored trousers, he was a picture of effortless arrogance.
Then she asked, “Do you think you’re difficult?”
Harry blinked. Didn’t move for a second. Then—slowly, deliberately—he picked up his drink, took a long sip, and held eye contact the entire time.
The silence stretched.
And stretched.
The journalist swallowed.
Finally, Harry licked his lips, tilted his head, and asked, “D’you think I care?”
The second clip was worse.
A different interview, a different day, same energy.
Harry was sitting in front of a panel of radio hosts, arms crossed, tattoos peeking out from under the loose sleeves of his sweater. The conversation had been moving along at a leisurely pace, touching on his tour, his latest album, the usual surface-level stuff.
Then one of the hosts leaned forward, smug, thinking he had the upper hand.
“So, tell us, Harry. What’s the song ‘Soft Spot’ about?”
Harry, who had been absentmindedly fiddling with one of his rings, paused. He exhaled through his nose, the barest hint of amusement curling at the corners of his mouth.
Then—without hesitation—he shrugged. “Dunno. Just a song.”
The hosts groaned in frustration.
The internet? Ate it up.
Edits of him smirking, of him dodging questions with effortless ease, flooded Twitter and TikTok. People captioned them with things like “This man is impossible” and “Certified menace behavior”.
The general consensus?
Harry Styles didn’t answer questions unless he wanted to.
Until someone asked about her.
It happened during a late-night talk show appearance.
The studio was dimly lit, the crowd buzzing with anticipation. Harry was perched on the couch, one leg crossed over the other, fingers playing absentmindedly with the chain around his neck. He was half-paying attention, answering questions with his usual brand of casual indifference.
Then the host, a sharp-eyed comedian known for catching celebrities off guard, grinned. “Alright, Harry. I have a question I think the people really want to know.”
Harry didn’t react much. Just arched a slow, lazy brow. “Yeah?”
“You’ve been seen with the same girl a lot lately…”
For the first time all night, something shifted.
Subtly. Almost imperceptibly.
But it was there, the way his fingers paused against the metal of his chain, the way his shoulders tensed, just slightly, the way his mouth twitched, like he was already biting back a smirk.
The audience leaned forward.
The internet, watching from their screens, held their breath.
Harry tilted his head, slowly. His lips parted, there it was. That signature smirk, the one that sent fans into a frenzy.
“Yeah?”
The host grinned, seeing the shift. “Care to comment?”
There was a beat of silence.
Then—Harry grinned. Not his usual mocking, I’m-so-over-this smirk. A real grin. The kind that made his dimples crease, the kind that softened his otherwise sharp edges.
His fingers tapped once, twice against his thigh.
Then, he looked directly into the camera, his voice dropping just a fraction.
“She’s great.”
The studio lost it.
The audience roared—cheers, gasps, the works. Twitter exploded before the show even finished airing. Within minutes, #ShesGreat was trending worldwide.
Fans analyzed the clip from every angle:
The way his face softened.
The way his body language changed.
The fact that he—HARRY STYLES, NOTORIOUS MENACE—HAD ACTUALLY ANSWERED.
He didn’t say her name. Didn’t confirm anything outright. But the shift in him? The softness in his voice?
That was all people needed.
It was real.
And the world wasn’t ready.
Y/N wasn’t famous.
She wasn’t an actress, a model, a singer, or an influencer. There was no glamorous past, no viral moment that put her on the map. No high-profile connections, no childhood dream of Hollywood stardom.
She was just a girl with a normal life—one that, up until a year ago, had been blissfully simple.
Her days had always followed a rhythm.
Morning coffee at her favorite little café, tucked into a corner booth with a book. Work, which she genuinely enjoyed—something steady, something real, something that felt like hers. Drinks with friends on Fridays, lazy Sundays spent in oversized sweaters, grocery shopping in peace without having to worry about cameras or strangers whispering her name.
She had a routine. A quiet, predictable world.
Then Harry Styles had walked into it.
And ruined everything.
She still didn’t know how it had happened.
It was easy to pinpoint the beginning—the first time their paths had crossed, the first time she’d realized that Harry fucking Styles wasn’t just a name on a magazine cover, but a person with thoughts and moods and an irritatingly sharp wit.
But she never expected it to go anywhere.
At first, he was just a guy who flirted too much.
Then he was a guy who made her laugh.
Then he was the guy she couldn’t stop thinking about.
And somehow—without her even noticing—he became hers.
It had been over a year now. Twelve whole months of him.
Twelve months of stolen moments, whispered conversations in the dark, secret rendezvous that always ended with his lips on her skin and his voice murmuring, “Just us, love. That’s all that matters.”
Twelve months of hiding.
Because Harry? Harry was obsessed with keeping her safe.
"It’s our life, not theirs," he told her once. "You don’t owe them shit."
She’d been curled up in his lap when he said it, her fingers tracing lazy patterns over the tattoos on his arm.
She had been scared that night—really, truly scared.
Her phone had blown up with messages from friends, all linking her to articles and Twitter threads dissecting her existence. Speculation had spread like wildfire after one blurry photo of them together made it online. Nothing too obvious—just a candid shot of her walking ahead of him, their fingers barely brushing.
But it was enough.
Enough for people to start digging.
Within hours, her social media had been flooded. Comments, theories, strangers demanding to know who the hell she was and why she thought she deserved him.
She had wanted to throw her phone into the ocean.
Instead, she had buried her face into the curve of Harry’s neck, inhaling the scent of him—warm skin and expensive cologne and something inherently his. Something safe.
“I don’t think I can do this,” she had admitted, voice barely above a whisper.
Harry’s grip on her had tightened immediately. Protective. Possessive.
“You don’t have to,” he’d murmured. “Not like that. Not the way they want.”
And that was how they lived. No red carpets. No public declarations. No letting the world in. Just them, in their little bubble—hidden away in hotel rooms and dimly lit apartments, in long drives with the windows down, in whispered confessions at three in the morning.
It was beautiful. It was safe.
But Y/N knew—deep down, in the quiet moments when she was alone with her thoughts—that the world wouldn’t stop trying to tear it apart.
Because it wasn’t just them anymore. It hadn’t been for a while.
And no matter how fiercely Harry tried to protect her from it, the outside world was still watching.
Still waiting.
Still hungry for cracks in the foundation.
They didn’t understand him.
The world saw one version of Harry Styles.
The public version. The one who didn’t give a single shit what anyone thought of him. The one who strolled into interviews with that lazy, half-lidded smirk, sprawled out in his chair like he had all the time in the world, deliberately giving them nothing just to piss them off.
“Harry, is it true you walked out of your last meeting with the label?”
He barely blinked. “Wouldn’t you?”
“Is it also true that you—”
A slow sip of his drink. A deliberate pause.
Then, just for fun, a cocked eyebrow. “Dunno. You tell me.”
Click. Click. Click. Cameras flashing. Headlines already writing themselves.
Harry Styles: Rock’s Most Arrogant Asshole.
Harry Styles—Too Famous To Care?
Harry Styles Gives Zero Fucks About Literally Everything.
It was a game. One he didn’t mind playing.
Because the more they focused on the persona, the less they looked too closely at what really mattered.
The less they dug into his real life.
The less they found her.
Because private Harry?
A completely different person.
Private Harry sent texts like, “be home in 5”, because he knew she worried. Because he knew she’d never say it out loud, but if he was running late, she’d start pacing the kitchen, chewing at her bottom lip, imagining the worst.
Private Harry stole her hand cream and chapstick just to smell like her when she wasn’t around.
Private Harry carried her bags through airports like they weighed nothing, insisting every time, “Not letting you lift a damn thing, love.”
Private Harry curled around her in his sleep, face buried against the curve of her neck, his fingers tracing absentminded patterns along her spine until he drifted off—breathing easier when she was there.
No one saw that Harry.
And he preferred it that way.
But every once in a while, the world got a glimpse.
And when they did, it fucking broke the internet.
One moment in particular had gone insanely viral.
It had been a bad day—one of those relentless, aggressive paparazzi swarms outside a studio in L.A.
Harry had already been in a foul mood—late for a meeting, running on three hours of sleep, coming off a night of back-to-back phone calls that had left him rubbing his temples in frustration.
The cameras had been waiting for him the second he stepped out the door.
“Harry! Over here!”
“Harry, how’s the new album?”
“Harry, what’s the deal with the tour delay?”
He ignored them. Didn’t even look up.
Then someone got too close—flashed a camera right in his face, nearly knocking into him.
And that was it.
He snapped.
“Fuck off, yeah?” Sharp, cutting, the words slicing through the air like a whip. His jaw locked, his body tense.
Paparazzi shuffled back, startled.
They knew his reputation.
They’d seen him do this before.
They thought that was the whole show.
Until Y/N appeared.
She had been standing a few feet behind him, waiting.
The second he turned and saw her, everything about him changed.
His scowl softened. His hands, which had been clenched into fists? Relaxed.
And in front of dozens of cameras, in front of the very people he’d just been spitting fire at, Harry immediately reached for her—a steadying touch to her back, a soft tilt of his head. “Y’alright, love?”
Quiet. Gentle. Intimate.
As if nothing else existed in that moment but her.
The paparazzi?
Fucking shook.
The clip blew up online within hours.
Side-by-side comparisons flooded Twitter:
🚨 Harry Styles telling the press to fuck off vs. Harry Styles turning into the softest human alive the second his girlfriend walks into frame. 🚨
Memes. Reactions. Fans dissecting the exact millisecond his demeanor changed.
WHO IS SHE?!
HOW DOES SHE HAVE HIM WRAPPED AROUND HER FINGER LIKE THAT?!
The discourse was endless.
And Harry?
Didn’t say a damn word about it.
Because as long as they were talking about that, they weren’t looking for more.
They weren’t digging deeper.
And that meant she was still safe.
For now.
But the internet was relentless.
Because the thing about secrets—especially ones that belong to someone as famous as Harry Styles—is that they don’t stay secrets for long.
And when people suspect even the smallest sliver of something?
They become obsessed.
It started with something small.
Something that, to anyone else, would have seemed like nothing at all.
Harry had been spotted leaving a café in London, his sleeves rolled up, sunglasses perched lazily on his nose, a coffee cup in one hand.
But that wasn’t what fans noticed.
No.
What they noticed was the bracelet on his wrist.
A thin, woven band. Nothing fancy, nothing designer.
And—most importantly—not his.
The theories exploded.
GUYS. HARRY’S WEARING A FRIENDSHIP BRACELET. HAS HE EVER WORN ONE BEFORE? NO. WHO MADE IT?!
Look at the colors. Do we think there’s a meaning?
I AM SO SERIOUS THIS IS A HANDMADE BRACELET SOMEONE IS IN LOVE WITH HIM AND IT IS NOT ME
WHO THE FUCK IS SHEEEE?
There was no confirmation.
No proof.
But that didn’t stop people from digging.
Because once the internet smelled a mystery, they wouldn’t let it go.
Then came the coffee shop photo.
Blurry. Grainy. Taken at just the right angle to be nearly useless—but not quite.
Because despite the bad quality, despite the distance, despite everything, one thing was clear.
He wasn’t alone.
There was a girl across from him.
A girl who wasn’t famous.
A girl who was sitting comfortably in his presence, laughing at something he said, one hand wrapped around her mug, the other resting—casually, easily—on the table between them.
Too close.
Too familiar.
Too real.
The internet lost its collective mind.
HARRY STYLES SPOTTED WITH THE MYSTERY GIRL IN LONDON—NEW GIRLFRIEND?!
HARRY DATING SOMEONE? WHO IS SHE?!
WHO IS SHE. WHO IS SHE. WHO IS SHE. WHO IS SHE. WHO IS SHE.
I KNOW WHO SHE IS @yourusername!!
The photo was picked apart frame by frame.
Theories flooded TikTok and Twitter.
Some people were excited—because Harry in love?! Soft domestic boyfriend Harry?! They’d been dreaming of this for years.
But not everyone was happy.
Because some people… some people wanted access.
Some people wanted control.
Some people wanted to destroy anything that felt too real.
It started small.
A few comments.
A few tweets.
A few people saying she wasn’t good enough.
That she was using him.
That she was just another clout chaser who would milk this for all it was worth.
Then the DMs started.
Vicious. Personal. Cruel.
You’ll never be good enough for him.
You’re ruining his career.
No one wants you here.
He’ll leave you just like he’s left all the others.
And she told herself that she wouldn’t let it get to her.
That it didn’t matter.
That these people didn’t know her.
That as long as Harry was with her—really with her—nothing else mattered.
But it wasn’t just online anymore.
Because now, when she stepped outside, she swore she could feel the eyes on her.
Now, when she walked into her favorite coffee shop, she hesitated—half-expecting someone to recognize her.
Now, when she reached for her phone, her hands shook.
She started pulling away. Just a little.
Stopped texting first.
Stopped answering right away.
Stopped leaning into his touch as freely as she had before.
And Harry—because of course Harry noticed—tilted his head at her one night when she turned away from his kiss, his brow furrowing, his thumb tracing soft circles against her wrist.
“Alright, love?”
Her chest ached.
Because he was looking at her like that.
Like he knew.
Like he could see right through her.
Like he was already worried.
She forced a smile. Pressed a quick, barely-there kiss to the corner of his mouth.
“Yeah,” she whispered.
And lied.
The industry party was a mistake.
Y/N had known it the second they walked in.
The air inside the private venue was thick with expensive perfume, whiskey, and the kind of arrogance that could only come from people who knew they were untouchable.
The laughter was too loud. The conversations too sharp, dripping with faux warmth and hidden daggers.
She felt out of place immediately.
It wasn’t her world.
It never had been.
And standing next to Harry—Harry, who fit into this world so effortlessly, who could command attention just by existing, who seemed to belong in a way she never could—only made it worse.
He hadn’t let go of her hand since they arrived.
Had kept her close, thumb brushing over the back of her knuckles, squeezing her fingers in silent reassurance every few minutes, as if he could feel the tension in her shoulders, sense the way she was holding her breath.
But no amount of grounding touches could change the fact that she didn’t belong here.
That much became even more obvious when the wrong person decided to open their mouth.
He was a producer.
Smarmy. Arrogant. The kind of man who loved the sound of his own voice and had been in the industry long enough to think he could get away with saying anything.
And for some reason—maybe it was the champagne, maybe it was just sheer audacity—he chose her as his next target.
“Didn’t think this was your type, Harry.”
Y/N froze.
Harry stiffened next to her.
The producer took a slow sip of his drink, eyes flickering over her like she was something to be inspected.
“Quiet little thing, huh? Thought rockstars liked more excitement.”
Her stomach dropped.
It wasn’t just the words.
It was the way he said them.
The smirk. The condescension. The absolute certainty that he was untouchable, that he could say whatever the fuck he wanted without consequence.
Y/N shrank back before she could stop herself.
And that was when Harry snapped.
He didn’t move right away.
Didn’t react instantly.
Just went completely, unnervingly still.
A muscle jumped in his jaw.
His fingers—still tangled with hers—tightened.
And then—slowly, deliberately—he turned.
And stepped right into the guy’s space.
Harry Styles didn’t have to raise his voice to be intimidating.
Didn’t have to yell, didn’t have to make a scene.
All he had to do was look at someone the right way.
And the producer? He knew.
He fucking knew.
Because suddenly, the confidence wavered.
The smirk faded.
The hand holding his drink trembled just slightly.
“She’s worth more than you ever will be,” Harry said, voice low, icy, laced with so much venom that Y/N shivered.
And then—as if to drive the point home—his hand found her waist, pulled her against him, shielded her from the world with nothing but the sheer force of his presence.
It was a warning.
A claim.
And everyone in the room fucking knew it.
He didn’t let go of her for the rest of the night.
Didn’t stop touching her.
Didn’t stop checking on her.
And when they finally left—when they were finally alone—he held her even closer.
She should have felt safe.
Should have felt protected.
But instead, something heavy settled in her chest.
Because the truth was, this wasn’t just about one asshole at a party.
It was about all of it.
The industry. The fans. The internet. The constant feeling of not being enough.
And maybe… maybe they were right.
Maybe she really wasn’t enough for him.
She wasn’t going to say it.
She wasn’t.
But then Harry—still holding her, still watching her like she was the only thing in the world that mattered—brushed his lips against her forehead, whispered, “You alright, love?”
And it just—it broke her.
Her breath hitched.
And suddenly, she was blurting it out before she could stop herself.
“Maybe they’re right,” she whispered, voice barely above a breath.
Harry froze.
“Maybe I’m not enough for you.”
His entire body tensed.
Like she had just physically hit him.
Like the words had physically hurt him.
“Don’t you ever say that again.”
It wasn’t a plea.
It wasn’t a request.
It was a command.
His hands framed her face, tilting her chin up, forcing her to meet his gaze.
And when she did—when she really looked at him—she almost couldn’t handle what she saw.
Because he was devastated.
Shattered.
“Don’t you ever—” His breath shuddered, his forehead pressing against hers. “—say that again.”
She swallowed. “Harry—”
“No.” His grip tightened, like he was afraid she’d slip away if he let go. “You belong with me. Here. Always.” His lips brushed hers, desperate, aching. “And I don’t care what anyone else says.”
She closed her eyes.
Breathed him in.
Let him hold her together, piece by piece.
Because if Harry Styles believed she belonged—
Maybe—just maybe—she could believe it, too.
The storm hadn’t passed.
Not really.
The world still had its claws in them, still watched their every move, still dissected every glance, every touch, every fleeting moment caught on camera.
But Harry… Harry never wavered.
Not once.
Not even when the headlines got uglier.
Not even when the whispers turned into full-blown speculation.
Not even when she started pulling back again, flinching at every flash of a camera, hesitating before reaching for his hand in public, terrified of giving them more fuel.
He noticed.
Of course he noticed.
But he didnt push.
Didn’t force her to talk about it.
Didn’t tell her that she was still enough, still his, still the only thing in his life that mattered more than anything.
No.
Harry Styles didn’t waste his breath on words.
He showed her.
And the whole damn world saw it.
Madison Square Garden.
A sold-out crowd.
Phones up. Lights blinding.
It was a big night—bigger than most.
The kind of night that would be talked about for years, the kind of performance that would live forever in grainy fan videos, breathless social media posts, and blurry concert footage.
And she wasn’t supposed to be there.
Hadn’t planned on coming.
Had told Harry she’d stay home—avoid the cameras, avoid the crowd, avoid the possibility of being dragged into something she never wanted to be a part of.
But somehow—somehow—she found herself standing in the wings, heart in her throat, hands curled into fists at her sides as she watched him command the stage.
It was impossible not to be captivated.
Impossible not to watch the way he moved, the way he laughed into the mic between songs, the way he glowed under the stage lights.
He was in his element.
He belonged here.
And she—
Well.
She was just trying to stay invisible.
But then—
He turned.
Looked right at her.
And everything stopped.
Because suddenly—mid-show, mid-crowd, mid-fucking-Madison-Square-Garden—Harry Styles did something he never did.
He talked about her.
On stage.
For the world to hear.
“This one’s for someone who thinks she doesn’t belong in my world,” he said, voice steady, eyes never leaving hers.
The crowd screamed.
A roar—loud and deafening and completely unaware of what was actually happening.
“But she is my world.”
Her breath caught.
And then—before she could process what was happening—
He started playing.
A new song.
Unreleased.
Just for her.
And the lyrics—oh, the fucking lyrics.
They were filled with pieces of them.
Little inside jokes woven into verses, fragments of whispered late-night confessions hidden in melodies, the kind of details that only she would understand.
A love letter.
A declaration.
A warning to the world that she was his and he was hers, and that nothing—not the industry, not the headlines, not the relentless scrutiny of millions—could change that.
The internet lost its mind.
Clips went viral within minutes.
Fan theories exploded.
But none of it mattered.
Not really.
Because in that moment—in the middle of everything, in front of everyone, under the brightest damn spotlight possible—
It was just them.
And she belonged.
She didn’t hear the rest of the set.
Not really.
Not past the pounding of her heart, not past the static in her brain, not past the overwhelming realization that he had just done that.
For her.
For everyone to hear.
The screaming of the crowd blurred into white noise. The energy in the arena buzzed around her, the walls seeming to pulse with the sound of thousands of people still losing their minds.
But she couldn’t move.
Couldn’t think.
Couldn’t do anything except stare at the stage where he still stood, grinning like he hadn’t just shattered her entire world in the best possible way.
Because Harry Styles didn’t do things like this.
He dodged questions in interviews.
Shrugged off rumors.
Gave the media nothing to work with.
And yet, tonight—tonight, he had given them everything.
And she had no idea how to breathe through it.
Somewhere along the way, her fingers had curled into the fabric of her sweater, clutching at herself like it might help her stay grounded. Like she wasn’t seconds away from dissolving into nothing but feelings.
Because she knew what this meant.
Knew what it would cause.
Knew that by morning, headlines would be flooded with theories, and her name—or at least her existence—would be dragged into the light again.
But she couldn’t bring herself to care.
Because he’d said she was his world.
He’d said she belonged.
And maybe—just maybe—she believed him.
She was still in a daze when the show ended.
Still stuck in her own head when the lights in the arena dimmed, when the roaring of the crowd turned to scattered cheers and fading echoes of his name.
She barely noticed the way people moved around her.
Security, crew members, the distant hum of conversation—it all faded into the background.
Until—
“There you are.”
Her breath caught.
And then he was there.
Harry.
Still sweaty, still breathless from the high of performing, still looking at her like she was the only thing in the entire fucking world.
He didn’t say anything at first.
Didn’t ask if she’d liked the song.
Didn’t joke about how she’d better have been paying attention.
Didn’t do anything except close the space between them, hands gripping her face, lips pressing against her forehead, breath warm and shaky against her skin.
And she—
God.
She melted.
Because she could feel it—everything he wasn’t saying, everything he had already said on that stage.
The weight of it settled in her chest, so thick she thought she might break apart.
And then—so quietly she almost missed it—
“Tell me you’re staying.”
Her heart slammed against her ribs.
Because he knew.
Of course he fucking knew.
Knew how much she had struggled with this.
Knew how many times she had almost walked away.
Knew how much she loved him, but how terrified she was of all of this.
And yet—
His voice was steady.
Not desperate.
Not pleading.
Just… certain.
Like he already knew the answer.
Like he already knew her.
And maybe he did.
Because before she could second-guess herself—before she could let doubt creep in, before she could convince herself she wasn’t strong enough for this—
She nodded.
Just once.
And Harry fucking collapsed against her.
Exhaling like he’d been holding his breath for months.
Arms wrapping around her like he was afraid she might disappear.
Lips crashing against hers in a kiss that was anything but careful.
Because it wasn’t a question anymore.
Wasn’t a hesitation or a what if or an I don’t know.
It was real.
It was them.
And she was staying.
His hotel room was dark, save for the soft glow from the city outside.
But she barely noticed.
Because the only thing that mattered—the only thing that existed in this moment—was him.
Harry.
Pressed against her, warm and solid, breath still uneven from everything that had led to this.
His hands were everywhere.
Not rushed. Not desperate. Just certain.
Slow, teasing touches down her spine.
Fingertips tracing the dip of her waist.
Lips skimming along her throat, up to the shell of her ear, where his voice was low, husky, full of intent.
"Gonna remind you who you belong to, yeah?"
Her breath hitched.
Because fuck.
She’d heard that voice before—cocky, teasing, full of mischief when he was playing up his charm.
But this?
This was different.
This was a promise.
Her fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt, gripping, needing—but he wasn’t in any rush.
Because Harry didn’t just take.
He worshipped.
And she felt it.
In the way his hands moved over her skin—slow, deliberate.
In the way he kissed her—deep, devastating.
Like he had all the time in the world.
Like she was the only thing in it.
His mouth found the curve of her shoulder.
The dip between her ribs.
The inside of her wrist, where her pulse thrummed beneath his lips.
Every inch of her.
And with every kiss, every touch, came a whisper.
"You're everything, love."
"Perfect for me."
"Mine."
Her face burned, but he wouldn’t let her look away.
Wouldn’t let her shrink away from the way he saw her.
Because when she got shy—when she tried to hide—
He caught her chin, thumb tracing her jaw, forcing her to meet his gaze.
And fuck, that look.
Like she was something sacred.
Like she was something he could never get enough of.
"Look at you, taking me so well."
Her breath shuddered out of her.
And God, he knew what he was doing.
The filthy praise, the way he held her like she was precious, the possessiveness in his voice—
It was too much and not enough, all at once.
And he didn’t stop.
Didn’t stop until she was falling apart beneath him, gasping his name, hands tangled in his hair, nails raking down his back.
Didn’t stop until she was completely his.
And then—when the world had settled again, when their breathing was slow and tangled together, when she was half-asleep in his arms
Harry took care of her.
Of course he did.
Because he always did.
Pressed a kiss to her temple.
Murmured soft things against her skin as he cleaned her up, as he wrapped her up in him.
Strong arms pulling her close, keeping her warm, keeping her safe.
Only ever his.
And just before sleep pulled her under—
Just before her body fully relaxed against his—
She heard it.
Soft.
Low.
Meant just for her.
"Love you, you know that?"
And she did.
God, she did.
But what really got her—what really made her heart ache in the best, most devastating way—was that he never said it like he needed her to say it back.
Never said it like he was waiting for some kind of validation.
He said it like a fact.
Like the sun would rise tomorrow.
Like the sky was blue.
Like her being his was something permanent.
And maybe it was.
The airport was a nightmare.
The second they stepped inside, cameras started flashing, voices shouting—Harry! Over here! Is that your girlfriend?! Harry, can you confirm—
He ignored them.
Of course he did.
Didn’t even flinch.
Just kept walking, kept his hand firmly on the small of her back, kept her close.
And he was carrying everything.
Her suitcase.
Her tote bag.
Her carry-on.
Even the stupid travel pillow she’d nearly forgotten in the car.
Meanwhile, she was strolling beside him, completely unbothered, sipping her coffee like she didn’t have a single care in the world.
The contrast? Insane.
And the internet lost its mind.
The tweets came fast.
@stylesupdates: HARRY CARRYING EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HER BAGS WHILE SHE JUST DRINKS HER COFFEE??? SIR. YOU ARE WHIPPED.
@hslotlover: HE'S WEARING HER SHIRT (it’s posted on her Instagram @yourusername) AGAIN I CAN’T DO THIS TODAY.
Because, yeah.
He was.
It was an old, slightly oversized tee—hers.
The one she always stole from his drawer. The one she wore to bed whenever he wasn’t around.
And now?
Now he was wearing it in public.
On purpose.
Like some kind of quiet, undeniable statement.
Like a middle finger to the world.
But the real moment—the one that cemented it all—was the photo.
A blurry, candid shot someone snapped from across the terminal.
Harry, walking ahead, death glaring at the paparazzi.
Her, right behind him, looking effortlessly soft, untouchable.
And the caption?
"He’s still an asshole, and she’s still his soft spot."
And fuck.
If that wasn’t the truest thing anyone had ever said.
Because the world still didn’t get it.
But he didn’t care.
Because she was his.
And that was enough.
That had always been enough.

thinking about sending robby and abbot nudes but they’re both old and sext illiterate so they respond with something like 👍
Message Received (18+ MDNI)
Content & Warnings: NSFW (18+), suggestive photo reference, fingering (Jack), oral sex f!receiving (Robby), established relationship, dom!Jack energy, softdom!Robby energy, dirty talk, mild brat!reader, age gap, tension-heavy buildup, emotionally grounded smut, and just two very different men completely wrecked by one photo.
word count : 1,723
📩 Robby – “thumbs up.”
You send it on a whim.
Soft lighting. A lace bra you didn’t really plan to wear today. Not overt, but obvious enough.
You wait maybe thirty seconds before regretting it.
Another fifteen before his reply pops up.
Robby : 👍
Just the emoji. No caption. No follow-up. No “holy shit” or “you’re killing me” or “I’m leaving work right now.”
Just… a thumbs up.
You stare at it like it might change.
You : Are you serious?
Three dots appear. Then vanish. Then reappear again.
Finally:
Robby : Sorry. Was in the break room. Looked amazing. Shouldn’t be looking at you like that while Dana’s eating a yogurt next to me.
You laugh—because of course he’s being normal about it. Of course he’s being Robby.
You : Yogurt’s more important than me?
There’s a long pause.
Then:
Robby : No. You’re very distracting. I didn’t know what to say.
That makes you smile. Still, you want more.
You : Wish you were here.
It’s hours later when you hear the key in the lock.
Late enough that you thought he might not come. Late enough that part of you hoped he wouldn’t—just so you wouldn’t have to sit there pretending you weren’t still thinking about that dumb thumbs up.
But the door opens.
And Robby steps inside.
He shuts it behind him gently, like he’s trying not to make too much noise. Drops his keys on the table. Looks at you like he’s still catching his breath from something that’s been building all night.
You’re still in that bra.
The same one from the photo. Still waiting.
He exhales—low, unsteady.
“You’re so mean,” he murmurs. “You know that?”
You tilt your head. “I’m thoughtful.”
He starts unbuttoning his coat. “You sent that while I was sitting next to Dana.”
“I noticed.”
“I panicked.”
“You sent a thumbs up.”
“I panicked hard.”
He shrugs the coat off and crosses the room. Slower than usual. Like he’s not sure he can walk and think at the same time.
“I opened it,” he says when he stops in front of you. “And then had to sit there like I didn’t just get hit by a truck.”
You smile. “You seemed fine.”
“That was me dissociating.”
You laugh, but it’s quiet. He’s close now. Close enough to feel the heat coming off him.
He raises a hand and brushes it down your side—light, steady, like he’s grounding himself.
“I couldn’t stop thinking about it,” he says, voice soft. “What you looked like right before you took it. How long you waited to see if I’d say something else.”
“I wasn’t waiting,” you lie.
He just hums, stepping forward, crowding you gently until your back finds the wall. One hand braces beside your head. The other finds your waist.
“No?” he murmurs, dipping just enough to brush his mouth near your jaw. “You weren’t hoping I’d come home like this?”
Your fingers twist in the front of his shirt. “Maybe a little.”
He kisses you.
It’s soft, at first. Familiar. But there’s a tremble behind it, something fraying. You sigh into his mouth, and when you do, he groans—quiet, rough—and presses in harder. His hands move lower, gripping your hips like he needs to feel every inch of you.
“I wanted to say something,” he whispers against your cheek. “Wanted to tell you what I was thinking.”
“Then tell me.”
He doesn’t.
Instead, he drops to his knees.
You gasp, and he looks up once—just once—to make sure you’re still with him. You are.
He reaches up, hooks his thumbs into your underwear, and pulls them down slow. Gentle. Careful. Like he’s unwrapping something precious.
One hand glides up behind your thigh, lifting it over his shoulder. The other anchors you at the waist.
He kisses your hip first. Then your inner thigh. Then higher.
His stubble scrapes just enough to make you shiver.
And when his mouth finally touches you—hot, open, reverent—you feel your knees nearly buckle.
He holds you steady.
He groans softly at the first taste. Then again when you tilt into him.
You brace yourself against the wall, hand clutching the back of his head, fingers threading into his hair.
He moves slow at first. Methodical. Like he’s trying to memorize you. No rush, no teasing. Just full, devoted attention—lips, tongue, breath—all focused on pulling you apart with steady, quiet purpose.
When you gasp his name, he tightens his grip on your thigh and pulls you closer, mouth sealing over you deeper.
He doesn’t speak.
He doesn’t need to.
Because this is everything he couldn’t say. Everything he didn’t know how to text. Everything he’s been holding back since you first pressed send.
And it’s all here now—on his knees, in his hands, in the way he keeps going until your head hits the wall behind you and all you can do is feel.
📩 Jack – “what is that”
You send it because you’re bored.
Lying in bed. Still damp from the shower. Wrapped in a towel that barely covers anything, legs stretched out across the sheets like you’re not waiting for an excuse. The lighting’s soft—just your bedside lamp, low and gold. It makes your skin look warm. Intentional. You angled yourself toward it on purpose.
You look good. You know you look good.
And Jack? Jack’s on shift. Third night in a row. Which means you haven’t seen him—really seen him—in two days, unless you count that half-second yesterday when you passed in the hallway, both headed in opposite directions. He didn’t stop. Barely glanced. Just muttered “go home” without breaking stride—like looking at you for more than a second might’ve done something to him.
Like it already had.
So you take the photo. Legs just slightly spread. A caption typed with two thumbs and no shame:
You : come home, I miss you
Delivered. Read
Then:
Jack : what is that
You stare at your phone.
You blink.
You : What do you mean what is that. It’s a nude, Jack.
Read.
And then… nothing.
No follow-up. No typing bubbles. No emoji. Not even a fucking ellipsis.
You huff. Dramatic. Roll onto your side with a groan and grab a fistful of blanket like it’s going to do anything to cool the ache you definitely caused yourself.
If you didn’t know him, you’d think he didn’t care.
But you do know him.
And that silence?
That’s not indifference.
That’s a promise.
You’re in for it.
You’re lounging in bed in your underwear when you hear the door.
It’s late. Past midnight. You don’t move.
Jack steps in. Damp from the rain, scrubs wrinkled. He closes the door, sets his keys down, shrugs off his jacket.
Still doesn’t look at you.
You wait. Quiet.
Then—
“You send that picture just to piss me off?”
You smirk. “I was being sweet.”
He finally turns.
“You don’t do sweet.”
“Didn’t realize nudes were so boring to you,” you murmur, stretched out across the sheets. “I won’t do it again.”
His jaw ticks. “I was working.”
You tilt your head. “And now?”
He moves.
One step. Then another. Slow. Controlled.
Until he’s standing at the edge of the bed, looking down at you like he’s still deciding which part of you to ruin first.
He climbs onto the bed, slow and deliberate, the mattress dipping beneath his weight. You watch the tight line of his shoulders, the way his jaw works like he’s still biting back everything he couldn’t say earlier.
“Now you’re getting what you wanted.”
You blink up at him, lashes fluttering. “Oh? What’s that?”
Jack shifts closer, grabs your thigh—strong, steady—and lifts it over his hip, settling himself between your legs. His palm drags down your outer thigh like he’s lining you up. Holding you there. Making you wait.
“Me.”
Then he kisses you.
Rough. Steady. Like he’s been playing this on loop since the second that photo hit his phone and ruined him.
His mouth opens over yours like he needs it just to stay upright. You arch instinctively, back bowing into the pressure, thighs tightening around his hips.
“Thought about this all fucking day,” he mutters into your skin, lips at your throat. “You don’t get to send me that and pretend you didn’t know what it’d do.”
You smirk, rocking your hips into his. “Did it ruin your shift?”
He laughs under his breath—dark, quiet. Dangerous.
“Don’t push it.”
You grind into him again. Slower this time. Testing.
“I missed you,” you whisper, low and saccharine.
He hums—sharp, dry. “Yeah?”
Then his hand moves.
Fast. Precise.
His fingers hook under your panties and tug them down—slow enough to draw a shiver out of you, fast enough to say he’s not asking. They’re gone a second later, tossed somewhere near the foot of the bed.
He doesn’t break eye contact.
Doesn’t say a word as he slides his fingers between your thighs.
You gasp when he finds you—already wet, already aching—and his lips twitch like he’s smug about it. Like he knew.
“You’re soaked,” he says, voice barely audible. “Figured.”
His fingers move slow at first. Two of them. Deep. Steady.
You moan—quiet, caught—and Jack exhales like that was what he needed. The confirmation. The surrender.
His thumb finds your clit. No teasing. Just pressure—tight and constant and mean.
Your hips jump. Your fingers grip his wrist.
He doesn’t let up.
“Jack—”
He shushes you with a kiss, his hand working between your legs like he has all the time in the world.
You cry out—nearly choking on it.
He curls his fingers.
You jolt.
“There she is.”
His voice is steady. Like nothing about this has affected him. Like he’s not hard under his scrubs, not unraveling with every pulse of you around his hand.
He leans in, lips brushing your cheek.
“This is what you wanted, right?”
You nod, dizzy.
“Say it.”
“Yes,” you breathe. “God—yes.”
His mouth grazes your jaw.
“Good.”
He doesn’t stop.
Not until you’re shaking.
Not until you’re arching into him, hand clutching the sheets, panting his name through clenched teeth like that photo wasn’t the start—it was the warning.
And this?
This is what happens when he finally opens it.

✶ STEAL YOUR HEART, TONIGHT!

summary: after the united states grand prix, the drivers decide to immerse themselves in the true american experience by going to the most infamous coyote ugly in austin to celebrate ─ needless to say, max is in for a culture shock, and maybe a little heart attack when one of the coyotes seems to take a fancy to him.
F1 MASTERLIST | MV33 MASTERLIST
pairing: max verstappen x coyote!f!reader
wc: 7.6k
cw: reader is implied to be southern/has a southern accent, reader smokes, alcohol, english is not my first language, sexual/romantic tension, i know next to nothing about coyote ugly this is based on vibes and vibes alone, use of y/n, bittersweet towards the end.
note: the idea of max verstappen just stepping in a coyote ugly is so funny to me. here's to lei @cntappen who wanted to see a max fic!

WARNING!
You may get wet
You may lose your tie
You may lose your bra
No men on the bar
No touching the girls on the bar - even if it’s your own girlfriend, do that at home!
We don’t serve free water
If you pick a bad song on the jukebox, you may get skipped
If you are easily offended, this isn’t the bar for you
Be nice and have fun!
YOU WILL GET DRUNK, YOU WILL GET UGLY!
What did Max get into?
The words were written hastily on a board in front of the bar with a black marker, making him wonder how it successfully stood the test of time. The night was dark around the slightly weathered wooden structure, but the obnoxious neon red sign made each detail of the street clear as day: COYOTE UGLY.
It looked like something out of a bad, anachronic Western film ─ scratched paint, flickering lights, the low hum of American dad rock vibrating through the walls. Still, there was a line out of the door and people littering the front porch ─ girls in jean shorts and cowboy hats yelling to each other above the music, guys already stumbling out with their shirts unbuttoned too far.
Daniel was the one who insisted.
He flew in to watch the United States Grand Prix, as it would be the only one he’d be free enough to attend and it had been a little while since he caught up with some of the drivers ─ including Max, Max who had been the happy winner of the aforementioned Grand Prix. “Come on Maxie,” he’d said that afternoon wearing a cowboy hat he definitely didn’t pack. “After-parties are always the same. Fake VIP tables, same music, same people. We need something different for tonight! Something fun!”
Max had muttered that he was fine drinking in a familiar place and that nobody really went partying after Austin anyway ─ it was just another win, and they had a day to pack for Mexico. That was without knowing Daniel, obviously, who had already sent a group text. Much to Max's surprise ─ note the sarcasm ─ most of the drivers had declined due to exhaustion and the general reputation of Coyote Ugly. He thought that would be the end of it, until Lando, Carlos, Pierre and surprisingly Charles had all jumped at the idea like it was the goddamn social event of the season.
Mostly because Daniel had the talent to sell a bad idea to someone like a lawyer. And that─ that explained why Max was there.
Carlos was already walking ahead of them, sunglasses on despite the fact it was nearly midnight, yelling something to a drunkard behind him in fast Spanish. Charles trailed behind, squinting at the building like he was trying to figure out if the neon sign was ironic or a warning ─ Max concluded he didn’t look up what a Coyote Ugly was before tagging along. Lando was busy taking a selfie with a wannabe cowboy and cowgirl who stopped him, already in his element.
And now Max stood between Daniel and Pierre, outside this absurdly American fever dream of a bar, and he was pretty sure people were getting murdered inside. He wondered if Daniel had finally lost his mind.
“You’re going to thank me for this,” the latter declared, hands out like he was presenting a five-star resort instead of a glorified wooden box.
Max raised a brow. “No. I’m already regretting this.”
“I love it personally,” interjected Pierre. “Smells like tequila and questionable decisions.”
Daniel threw an arm around Max’s shoulders. “See? That’s the spirit. Come on, Max. Live a little. You just won a Grand Prix, you should be dancing somewhere.”
“I’m a driver, not a dancer. Especially not that type of dancer,” he deadpanned.
Pierre smirked. “You might not have a choice. I saw a line dance when I passed by the window, and someone getting body shots done on the bar.”
“You’re fucking kidding.” Max could feel himself blanching.
Daniel grinned like the devil himself, and Max wondered why he wasn’t in his hotel room. “Oh it’s real, mate. You’re in America─ home of deep-fried butter and girls with fire hoses full of Jack Daniels.”
Lando, who had finally rejoined them, snorted. “You sound wayyy too excited about this.”
“I am! This is culture,” Daniel insisted. “This is history. This is─”
He was cut off as someone inside screamed, followed by the unmistakable sound of a whip cracking. Max stared at the entrance, eyes narrowing at the figure of a woman sliding across the bar and before he could catch another glimpse─ the blur of the people inside blocked his view.
“... Is that even legal?” He asked.
Daniel just patted his back in fake reassurance. “Too late to back out now, champ.”
He ran to catch up with Carlos in front of them, leaving Max stranded in his own hesitation. Was he really going to…?
Pierre laughed, following suit. Well, he guessed it was indeed too late to back out, and Max never left things unfinished, after all.
The door slammed behind him like a final warning.
The heat of the bar hit Max like a punch. Everything was sweaty, loud, alive, sticking to his skin and prickling it. The floor vibrated beneath his feet from the raucous movements of the crowd, barely walkable, and the scent of whiskey and cheap perfume hung in the air. People were everywhere ─ dancing, shouting, laughing, adding to the bass escaping from the humongous, vintage jukebox in the back of the room.
Someone threw a bra across the room and no one even flinched. Carlos cheered.
It was lawless. Much more than what Max was used to.
“Welcome to America, baby!” Daniel hollered over the music, arms spread around him like he’d just stepped into a holy place.
Max shot him a look, dread comfortably installed in the pit of his stomach. He brushed someone’s feather boa off his arm with a scoff. “Is that what you call fun?”
“A little different from Monaco bottle service, huh?” Daniel grinned.
“Right now I’m just doubting your taste in bars.”
“Eh…,” the Australian clapped him on the back. “It builds character.”
Why would someone want to get literally hosed down with whiskey to build character, Max didn’t know ─ and it’s not like he pulled the example out of his ass: a guy was taking a whiskey shower in the middle of the room, given by a girl in very tight clothing and run-down chaps standing on the bar.
He squinted. “How is this even sanctioned?”
“Man, you ask yourself way too many questions, just enjoy! Look at the others, at least they’re already having fun.”
Carlos was already gone, swallowed up by a pack of cowboy boots and red lipstick, while Lando and Charles were making their way toward the bar with wide eyes and the kind of expression Max hadn’t seen since their karting days. Pierre vanished. Someone bumped into his shoulder so hard it almost knocked the wind out of him.
In the end, he just sighed. He wouldn’t win that fight. “If I get anything poured on me, I’m leaving.”
Daniel laughed. “Don’t worry, they’ll only do it if you ask. Or not. Anyways, let’s get a drink!”
Max started walking toward the bar, following in Lando and Charles’ footsteps before Daniel could even finish his sentence. If he wanted to survive the evening ─ hell, even just the ambiance ─ he needed something to keep him going. Preferably cold. Preferably strong. Preferably now.
But that’s when the music shifted, the lights dimmed ever so slightly, and suddenly ─ everything changed.
A warm glow from old projectors cut through the red haze, casting gold across the surface of the bar like a spotlight, and just like that, the crowd moved. Turned their heads toward the long wooden structure like it was a stage and not the stickiest surface in Texas. Someone behind Max let out a whoop so loud it nearly startled him, “Hell yeah, that’s what I’m talking about!”
In the shuffles of bodies and beer, Max lost sight of Daniel completely.
He would have cared in any other circumstances, and maybe a part of him did at the moment, but he was only human ─ his gaze caught on the bar as well. More specifically, his gaze caught on you as you stepped into the light.
Crimson red cowboy boots first, planted strongly on the bar top, followed by the curve of your legs and the ripped, distressed hem of your shorts, the glint of a belt buckle looking like it carried multiple stories. Your tank top clung to your skin in the heat, and you were probably drenched in something ─ what, Max wouldn’t want to guess. Your hair was catching on the light, wildfire-like, almost matching the red neons. One of your hands lifted in the air, claiming the moment, and the other held a mic ─ beat up, wrapped up in tape, completely yours.
You didn’t ask for the attention of the people in front of you, no. You commanded it.
“LET’S WAKE THIS DAMN CITY UP!” You shouted into the mic, voice hoarse and tone ecstatic, and the whole room erupted.
And the music kicked in again, louder this time ─ an unapologetic, southern rock anthem beating against the wall. You dropped low, hips rolling to the beat while your hands gripped the metal bar above you to keep you on your feet. You popped back up with a loud, teasing laugh, and, mid spin, someone handed you a bottle. You poured the liquor straight into a row of open mouths, feeding the fire you started.
Max couldn’t get himself to look away.
If all the other bartenders, or coyotes as Lando affectionately corrected earlier in the night, looked like they performed the overt confidence, you didn’t: you looked in your element, basking in the spotlight, the attention and the smell of burnt wood. And it wasn’t just the way you moved, no ─ it was the way you owned it. Unbothered, untouchable. Like the bar was yours. The music, the night? Yours too.
And then for a second, just one ─ you looked at him. Dead in the eyes, over the crowd. Over the sweat and light and noise, and you threw him a grin.
You caught him staring.
It should have been meaningless, the moment barely lasted enough to make note of it, but Max’s breath still hitched. The beat of the music wasn’t the only thing making his heart stutter off rhythm.
The chaos dulled, the music softened and just like that, you were gone. Lost behind the bar in the sea of bodies crawling in front of it. Max blinked. He wondered if he hallucinated you.
He shook his head to get rid of the haze his mind settled into. Before he could have time to think about anything else, or even try, an arm dropped around his shoulders and a cowboy hat was on his head. Daniel had reappeared. “What a show, huh?” He said.
“Where’d you go?” Max asked, rearranging the hat on his head. He knew that if he took it off now, Daniel would be quick to put it back on.
“Went to fetch you this. Stole it from someone puking in the corner,” Max's nose scrunched at the mental image. “Come on, let’s finally get that drink. Maybe the Coyote you’ve been ogling during the whole perf’ will serve you.”
He protested. “I wasn’t ogling.” Because he wasn’t. I mean ─ what else was he supposed to do? Look at the ground while you danced? But Daniel was already on his way toward the bar and this time, Max followed him without much of a complaint. Mainly because he had been eyeing the spot you disappeared behind for the entire conversation.
People crowded around the wooden counter like it was a lifeboat. Arms waving, voices raised, someone yelling for shots and someone else already halfway to a table with three beers in each hand. The bartenders, sorry, Coyotes, moved like machines ─ fast, efficient, ruthless. Max tucked himself between Daniel and Pierre, who had reappeared as well, with difficulty.
And then, he spotted you again.
It was more like flashes of you, really. A hand catching a bottle mid-air. A flash of glitter on your cheek. A bandana tied around your wrist. Your voice cut through the air like smoke, low and teasing and just loud enough to carry. That’s what made Max’s head snap ─ it was unsettlingly recognizable, even after hearing so little of it.
“That’s your third tequila, cowboy. You aiming to dance or blackout first?”
Someone laughed ─ a rough, lovesick sound ─ and you grinned without looking up as you slid another shot glass across the bar. Through their drunk delusions, everyone around the table probably assumed they were in love with you, Max thought.
He stepped up, hands braced against the edge of the counter, waiting. That was when you turned and for the second time tonight, you looked right at him, as if feeling his presence before he could even call for another bartender.
Jesus fuck─ up close, you were something else entirely. Sun-warmed and sun-kissed skin, your cheeks were flushed from the heat along with your sweat-slicked collarbones. Your lips were pulled into the kind of smirk he’s sure could cause car crashes, and your eyes sparkled under the bar lights ─ like you knew exactly what he was searching for.
If you did, spare the poor soul and tell him, because Max wasn’t sure he wanted that drink anymore.
“You lost?” You asked. Your tone was smooth, a southern accent dripping from every word. God, that was dangerous.
Max blinked. Oh, he was gaping. “No,” he affirmed, a little too harshly.
Your eyes, intense, dragged over him, twinkling a little brighter than before. “You look lost.”
Max suddenly felt very conscious of how much he had to be sticking out. He had no outfits or items of clothing that fit this type of place ─ the light-washed jeans, the tennis shoes, and the black, short-sleeved shirt with his Formula One number in the back was as casual as he could do without looking homeless. The cowboy hat had to add some more ridiculousness to it, he realized.
He cleared his throat, frowning slightly. He usually wasn’t one to really care about outfits. “Just a drink, please.”
You leaned in, close enough that Max could smell your perfume. Warm, sugary, intoxicating. “Name your poison, pretty boy.”
Pretty boy. He gulped. For fuck’s sake, where did the confidence he had a few hours earlier go, when he was brandishing the Austin trophy?
“Whatever’s strongest.” God knows he needs it right now.
You just gave him a look ─ just the faintest eyebrow raise, clearly amused. Grabbing a bottle from behind you with practiced ease, you poured without measuring, slid a glass toward him with one hand, and propped the other on your hip, where Max’s eyes lingered a little too long.
“Try that,” you said. “If it doesn’t knock the edge off, I’ll give you a second round for free.”
He reached for the glass. You looked too smug, challenging him like he was no one to you, which he probably was. But Max liked a challenge, he was known for never backing out after all. He handled stronger for sure and America wasn’t the place that was about to teach him alcohol. He threw the whole glass back.
It burned.
His eyes watered, and Max coughed so hard he thought fire was about to spill out from his esophagus. You, on the other hand, looked delighted, grinning widely at his misery.
“You hate it.”
“I didn’t say that.”
You laughed, and the sound echoed in Max’s chest like cathedral bells, so violently he froze. Must be the alcohol.
Noticing his lack of retort, you leaned your elbows onto the bar, eyes dancing. “Aww, ain’t you too pretty to be looking this miserable?”
You were going to be the death of him. The corner of your mouth curled as if you’d just lit up a fuse. Max swallowed, slowly recovering from the short circuit your voice alone had triggered. “Is that how you greet all of your customers─ uh…” He choked out, searching for your name on your shirt.
“Y/N.” The name sounded good sliding off your tongue. Max felt the need to know how it felt sliding off his. “And only the ones who look like they took a wrong turn at a country club,” you commented, chin propped in your hand, eyes still locked on his. Touché. “You got that look─ y’know, European.” You whispered that as if it was a bad word. “Quiet, repressed. Secretly judging everyone.”
“That’s harsh.” He raised an eyebrow. “I’m not judging.” He was. He just wasn’t judging you.
“Sure you’re not, Verstappen.”
Oh. Your tone was casual, tossed off like nothing ─ but the sound of his name in your mouth made something flicker in his chest. Not how you said it, even though the accent and the inflections played a part in it, but the fact you said it at all.
You knew who he was, and clearly ─ you didn’t give two shits.
“Anyways,” you kept on going, oblivious or choosing not to care about the semi-amused grin that slipped on Max’s face. “The drink in your hand says otherwise.”
He glanced down. He threw the glass back, yes, but the liquid was so strong he couldn’t even get half of it down before choking on it. “I’m drinking it.”
“Barely.”
Max straightened a bit. “Okay. Fine.” Again, his tone was harsher than he actually meant it to be. He just didn’t know how to handle whatever was happening there ─ your smiles, your presence. “What should I be drinking then?”
You didn’t answer right away ─ just tilted your head, eyes sweeping over him slowly, deliberately, like you were appraising a new kind of game. It sent shivers down his spine, and he was deeply ashamed to say he was enjoying it. “You trust me, pretty boy?”
There was the nickname again. “I don’t not trust you,” which was as far as he could go after knowing you for a dance and a drink. Maybe he needed more. Just to make sure you wouldn’t poison him.
“That’s a whole lotta syllables for yes!” You laughed, already moving, pulling down bottles Max could barely recognize, tossing ice into a shaker with a rhythm that matched the beat of the song playing overhead. Your hands moved fast, confident, dancing between ingredients as if you were born behind this bar.
Max was fast, yes, but not in the way you were ─ intricate, careful. Just like that, he was hypnotized again, eyes tracing your every movement.
It broke when you slid another drink toward him. Something golden, fizzing at the top, smelling like citrus and vanilla. Like you. “Go on, drink.”
He eyed the glass. “What’s in it?”
“You said you trusted me.”
“You put the words in my mouth.”
You barked out a surprised laugh. “Either drink or I’m telling your lil’ blond friend with the camera you can’t handle your liquor,” you nodded behind Max with a sharp grin. “Wonder how that’ll go down.”
He glanced over his shoulder, and Lando had his camera zeroed on him in a way that may have tried to be discreet but miserably failed. Max muttered a curse. First, because Lando had the bad habit of filming everything and for it to get leaked the day after ─ so if their little outing wasn’t public information already, it would be by tomorrow morning. Second, based on his first point, he couldn’t possibly be dragged through the dirt for going to a Coyote Ugly and have the reputation of a lightweight. His Dutch heritage would look like a joke. Max brought the glass to his lips.
It tasted like heat, honey, whiskey, and something floral he couldn’t name. “That’s… actually good.”
“Told you you should trust me,” you said, pleased. “Don’t worry your pretty little head, I taste-test all the cocktails before I serve them. I’m not that much of a degenerate.”
You wet your lips, and Max’s eyes caught onto them for a split second. He wouldn’t let himself acknowledge the thought that almost formed in his head.
Instead, he blinked. “Are you always like this?”
“Like what?”
“So… intense.” It was a genuine question. He met people with fire, he worked with them daily, and he could consider himself one in a way ─ however, it was the contained kind. The one that was shaped to work toward a goal. You were a forest fire, spreading, in constant reach of something. Max was sure your fingerprints could burn themselves on his skin if you let them linger long enough.
You laughed ─ loud and shameless. “Apparently. Tends to flare up when I’m bored.”
And maybe it was the alcohol, or the raucous crowd ignoring you both entirely, making it seem like you had your own, private sphere, but Max leaned forward, just enough to make your eyes imperceptibly widen by the action. It made his stomach lurch with a strange kind of pride. “And are you bored right now?”
You looked at him, gaze heavy with meaning. “Not anymore.”
Max felt something stir low in his chest ─ heat, curiosity, the burn of your drink still coating his throat. He wished he could have lingered on it, maybe make sense of it but you took it from him, leaning back and breaking the tension with a sly glint in your eyes. A reminder you were in control of the room.
“You ever poured a shot before, pretty boy?” You asked.
That was a change of topic. “Uh─ no?”
“Well, that’s about to change.”
Before he could argue, or even ask what you meant, your fingers stroked his wrist and he forgot about everything he was going to say. That’s when you tugged him forward, He didn’t resist, more out of shock than anything else, but next thing he knew he was behind the bar, ducking under the pass-through from which Coyotes went and left. Pushing him into your world.
The heat was much worse with the change of scenery ─ the lights brighter, the music louder, you right next to him.
“Are we─ Am I even allowed back there?” Max asked, stumbling slightly as he knocked into a pack of plastic cups.
“Nope,” you answered cheerfully. Just as on cue, one of your colleagues piped up, something about ‘no men on the bar’ and the wooden board of warnings at the front of the bar flashed in Max’s mind. You flipped her off lightheartedly, saying something along the line that, technically, he wasn’t on the bar. Just behind it.
From under the counter, you took out a bottle of something probably lethal and a metal shaker. “Alright, Verstappen. Time to earn your keep ─ didn’t think those drinks were for free, were you?” So that’s what it was all about. “You’re gonna help me make a round of Flaming Coyotes.”
“No way in hell that’s a real drink,” Max frowned.
“Unfortunately yes,” you said, cracking ice into a tin. “And you’re gonna light it.”
Your fingers wrapped around his hand, and Max’s heart stuttered at how your whole palm could wrap around one of his fingers. You guided it to the matchbox you set on the bar. “Relax, I’m not gonna let you burn your eyebrows off… unless you’re chicken?” You gasped, mocking.
“You really want me to set something on fire? With no… prior experience?”
“Only a little.”
You’re insane, he thought. You’re insane and he was never going to leave this bar. But Max was not sure he wanted to leave as badly as he did earlier, that’s why he lit the match.
The crowd erupted when the flame caught on the shot glasses. In front of him, Pierre, Daniel, and Charles cheered and whooped as loudly as he could, and somehow Max forgot all about them in these 20 minutes. He looked up, breathless, adrenaline buzzing through his veins like engine oil. You were watching him carefully, looking like you’d just found something very interesting in me. “Look at you,” you said, tone playful. “Didn’t think you had it in you.”
And Max smiled ─ actually smiled, for the first time since this night started. Wide, boyish, and wrecked by it all, and fucking hell did he look good, you allowed yourself to think. His chest swelled with something as you smiled back. And maybe it was the fire, maybe it was the cheers. Or maybe it was you.
The following hours were spent in a blur.
Not the kind of blur Max was used to ─ it wasn’t the sharp edges of a race weekend or the post-win daze of podiums and press conferences. This was so much more different. Warm, messy in a way that curled around his senses and dimmed the seconds together until the clock disappeared.
Shots kept appearing in his hand like magic, and he went from behind to the front of the bar as he pleased ─ most of the bartenders called him an ‘Honorable Coyote’, which shouldn’t have been as funny as it was at the time. The jukebox never stopped switching music, keeping him on his toes. Lando and Pierre had stolen a mic at some point, or maybe you gave it to them for the hell of it, and slurred She’s Country by Jason Aldean so off-key some of the girls threatened to cut them off, splashing them with ice-cold water. Daniel had tried to climb on the bar twice, failing miserably because rules were rules, Charles was attempting to dance with a girl in a cowboy hat three sizes to big for her head, and Carlos was desperately explaining race strategies to a group of drunken Texan who clearly didn’t know what Formula One was.
And then there was you.
Always moving. Always glowing, whether it be from the sheen of your efforts or the loud, obnoxious ambiance that sublimed your features. You’d disappear back into the rhythm of the bar and the beat of the dance, your natural habitat, flinging bottles in the air, laughing as someone tried to kiss your hand and you sent them waltzing away, yelling over the crowd without care. And now Max was convinced people there didn’t simply think they were in love with you. They undoubtedly were ─ six steps in and all that. And he would have been bothered in any other circumstances.
But whenever Max looked up, he caught you looking at him. Every time, you smiled like you knew exactly what you were doing.
Max didn’t know how much time had passed by that point, only that his throat was dry, his cheeks flushed bright red and hurting from how much he laughed, the back of his neck scorching from something stronger than just alcohol. Somewhere along the way, the night had stopped being about celebrating a win and started being about you.
Maybe that’s how he got roped in a messy attempt at a line dance.
He tried to resist at first. Truly. Max still stood by what he said at the beginning of the night: he was a driver, not a dancer. But when you shouted to ask if everyone wanted to see an F1 World Champion do ‘a little two steps’ and everyone cheered, including his friends and colleagues, the traitors, he couldn’t bring himself to say no. Not when you stood so close to him.
You’re Easy On The Eyes by Terri Clark twanged through the jukebox, loud enough to rattle the shelves and the floorboards, while Max tried to follow your explanations. His hands were on his hips, knees knocking together as he mimicked you except he was two steps behind and overthinking it. You were outwardly mocking him by now. “Your coordination’s better in a car, huh?” You teased.
Max huffed. “You call this coordination?”
“Aw, don’t pout, baby. You’re trying.” He rolled his eyes and you stuck your tongue at him. Daniel was somewhere in the back, filming, but Max had tuned the world out.
Somehow, in the whirl of bodies, he caught you again, his hands instinctively flying to your waist to steady himself so he wouldn’t faceplant ─ that would be the highlight of his night. Before he could process it, and you always a step ahead of him, you grabbed the cowboy hat off his head and in one slick movement, settled it on yours with a wink. The crowd roared in approval. Someone let out a sharp whistle. Max wasn’t fluent enough in Southern to know what that meant, but the half-lidded look you gave him translated across every barrier.
Game on.
You roped him into much more after that. Max followed blindly, always rising to the challenge, stuck in the daze of you. In the decadence of Coyote Ugly. In the secrecy of the nighttime, where everything felt allowed and nothing had to make sense in the morning.
By the time he was able to breathe, he’d long dismissed the idea to try and find out where his friends had scattered to. The only thing he could feel was the warmth of your hand wrapped around his wrist, tugging him past the old, swinging saloon-style door and out in the thick, velvet air of the Texan night.
The back of the bar was quieter. The hum of crickets, the soft hum of the neon signs bleeding through ancient wooden slats, and the echo of music and laughter still pulsing behind closed doors. Cardboard boxes were lying around, swallowed by the wild, uncut grass. The sky was wide and open above him, seemingly endless, stars barely cutting through the heat haze but present nonetheless. Nobody was there apart from the two of you.
Back against the structure of the bar, Max quietly watched as you lit a cigarette next to him. It didn’t surprise him in the slightest. Wordlessly, you offered him your open back with a raised eyebrow.
“I don’t smoke.” He waved it off.
You shrugged, blowing a grey cloud out to the night. He didn’t mind it ─ driving every day of your life, you get used to the smell. “I don’t really like smoking either. It just gives my hands something to do.”
Max chuckled. That didn’t surprise him either, he already figured out life moved with you and not the contrary.
It seemed like you didn’t appreciate it when conversations stilled because you were quick to speak up again. “Didn’t think I’d see the day a world champion let a girl make a fool outta him in public,” you said, leaning against the wall. Your shoulder brushed his. The number of times you touched him tonight was too numerous to count, but this one felt different. Innocent.
Max threw a smile at you, eyes darting to his feet for a second, still a little glassy. “I’m not the type to mind.”
And that, for some reason, made you look at him. Actually look at him. The type of look stripping away the chaos, the teasing, the fire-breathing version of yourself you wore so proudly behind the bar. You looked at him and Max was faced with the fact that you were just ─ you. Still half-wild, still sharp, but a little less guarded under the moonlight.
He liked it. A lot.
“D’you always enjoy losing control that much, then?” You asked with a small smile.
Max’s lips parted to answer─ pausing.
He thought about it. How rare this was, to be in a place he didn’t understand perfectly, being in Formula One for 10 years, you get used to the pattern of events, and you know what to target when things don’t go your way to make them bend to your will. Right now, he was tangled in things whose sense escaped him, and did not want to run from it.
His voice was quieter when he finally answered. “Only tonight.”
You took that in with a nod and brought the cigarette back to your lips.
“I’m glad you came tonight, then.”
That was it. No confessions, no fireworks, but Max felt his chest tighten just the same. You were just two people, sharing the silence, letting the sticky Texas air settle into your skins, wondering what the hell would happen when tonight fades. He wasn’t ready to find out the answer yet.
So, Max asked, “What led you to this?”
“To what? Coyote Ugly?” You raised an eyebrow, blowing out a slow stream of smoke and watching it curl around the humidity.
“Yeah. Why do you do it?”
“That’s two different questions, pretty boy.”
“Guess I want an answer to both.”
You hesitated, not because you didn’t want to answer, but because no one ever asked. Not your friends, not your colleagues, much less your family who was less than understanding about your life choices.
You shifted your weight, eyes flicking toward the parking lot in the distance. “Well, I came in looking for a job, obviously.” Your voice was softer now. There was still a bit of tease around the commas, but not nearly as much. “Needed rent money. Didn’t want a desk.”
Max hummed. “Makes sense.”
You tapped the ash off the cigarette. “And then I stayed ‘cause… I dunno. You ever walk into a place and, as crazy as it sounds, even if it’s a mess, I mean like pure chaos, and wild and loud you think ─ yeah. This might be the only place I make sense? I get to perform. I get to be myself. Take up space. Alive, not rotting in place like I was scared to. I wasn’t allowed to… do all that before.”
“I get it.” He nodded.
“Didn’t think you would.”
“I race cars for a living. I get messy.”
It was meant to be a light answer, something thrown back with a crooked smile and a shrug ─ but as the words settled in the small space between you, something shifted.
Max looked out in the dark, the flicker of neon reflecting faintly off the metal of a rusted old pickup nearby. He let himself sink into the silence for a second, and you waited until he was ready to speak up again. And he did, in a whisper, more to himself than to you. “Everything’s always so… calculated. In racing. It’s controlled and measured, even the mess, you know? It’s still part of the plan, of what’s expected, somewhat.”
You turned toward him slightly, hip still leaning against the wall, cigarette flickering between your fingers.
“You’re serious,” you said. Not accusatory ─ just curious. “Like, really serious.”
He glanced at you. “And you’re not.”
“Oh, I can be. I know when not to be, which just happens to be most of the time. And I like it like that, honestly,” you shrugged. “I don’t want to be stuck in something that’ll bury me before my time, and I couldn’t see myself anywhere else now, not when I get to be unashamed like that.” Your last words were just above a whisper. “Free.”
The term stagnates for a while.
Until Max lets out a soft laugh, barely even there. “I don’t think I’ve ever been allowed to be anything else but serious.”
The words surprised him. Not because he never thought about them, but because he never said them out loud. He didn’t think he meant them. Now, they felt unescapable, slightly suffocating ─ and the way you looked at him, patient, didn’t help in the slightest. He exhaled slowly, rubbing the back of his neck.
“It’s always about being perfect. Image, numbers, control. If I mess up, people lose money. I lose standing. Teams fall apart. Media goes insane. There’s no room to just.. exist? I guess?” His voice dips lower.
Max wasn’t about to say anything more. He sobered up too much to spill his guts further to a little more than a stranger. Yet, the way you looked at him ─ meeting his gaze with something softer than you’d shown him all night ─ and what you’ve told him, you didn’t feel like a stranger at all. You, who wore fire like perfume and laughed like a dare, stripped down to ashes.
You voiced what he was thinking. “So we’re not that different. I mean, we both perform. In our ways.”
He couldn’t figure you out, no matter how much he tried, no matter how much you’ve shown and hidden tonight but God, Max could have spent hours and hours trying to puzzle you back until you’d finally make sense.
Instead, he just dipped his head in agreement, which made you smile gently. You nudged him with your shoulder. “Alright, Verstappen. Guess you’re not just a pretty face, huh?”
Max choked on a laugh, and he couldn’t help himself. “You are, though. And a lot more.”
You rolled your eyes at his sad attempt at flirting, snorting, but the grin spreading your lips lingered for longer than it should have. Max shuffled a bit closer to you ─ subtle enough that it could’ve been the heat dragging him in ─ but not so subtle that he missed the way you shifted too, gravity pulling you both toward something unspoken.
Quiet still, you spoke up again, voice barely above the hum of the night. “It’s nice, though. People like us don’t get a lot of moments like this.” You gestured around, the empty half-alley, half-garden bathed in neon spill, the distant sounds of cricket, the sounds of the music and the people inside like a faraway dream. This. The in-between.
Max’s voice came back low, warm. “Then we should make them count.”
You turned to look at him, slower this time. And Max ─ he didn’t dare move. Just watched.
The way the light caught on your dewy skin. The glint of sweat at your temple. Your pupils blown wide, not just from the dark but from interest, curiosity. That sharp, electric pull that had lived between you all night, was finally quiet enough to be noticed.
Your eyes dropped to his lips, just for a moment. It was so fast that he thought he might have imagined it. His heart twisted anyway.
“And how are you planning on making it count, Max?”
His name, swirling around your tongue for the first time tonight ─ sweet, sharp, honey on a blade. It hit him square in the chest.
Something in his chest stammers, tires hitting gravel at full speed, and all reason is thrown aside after that. He doesn’t even know how it came to it ─ your back flush against the wall, his hands on your waist, your eyes boring into his and your cigarette half-smoked, forgotten on the gravel. He could feel your body heat as if it was his, your breath quickening at the contact. He could feel you and he wondered if you felt him just as intensely.
His eyes traced the curves of your lips and Max wondered what you tasted like. Smoke, citrus, spice. He wanted to memorize the taste, throw it into a drink he could get drunk on every night, threatening his health to grasp the memory of you again and again.
That was until─
“MAX?!” A shout echoed down the parking lot. Slurred, and unmistakably Daniel-sounding.
More followed.
“Mate, where did he fuck off to?”
“We’re leaving in ten, HURRY UP!”
It was muffled by the distance, but he knew you heard it as well. The half-smile on your face betrayed you.
“So, you gonna kiss me, pretty boy?” You asked.
It would’ve happened.
Max would’ve leaned in and would’ve chased the heat grasping his ribs whenever you looked at him. He would have mapped your mouth, the curve of your waist beneath his palms, would’ve swallowed every sound you made as he was starved for it. He would’ve kissed you and let you burn him alive, gladly, but─
The voices grew smaller. Daniel’s laugh, Pierre’s yell, Charles’ confusion. Reality bleeding back in. Max’s jaw tensed. If he waited a minute longer, he’d miss his ride. Miss the world contained in his hotel room that would stop spinning if he missed a minute off the clock.
He simply told the truth.
“If I start,” Max murmured, “I don’t know if I’d be able to stop.”
That earned him a look. It wasn’t surprised, or angry ─ it was something a lot like expectancy, and in some way, it hurt a lot more.
You stepped forward, hand gently rising to meet his chest. The contact was light but the weight of it hit him like a crash and when you pushed, just a fraction, just enough, it wasn’t playful or teasing. It felt like goodbye dressed like mercy. You took the cowboy hat you stole from him earlier in the night and put it back on his head.
“Then don’t start something you can’t finish,” you whispered.
You gave him one last look ─ one he’d replay for days, conflicting emotions dimmed down to the flicker of a lighter in your eyes ─ and turned toward the door.
And Max felt awfully selfish when he asked the shadow of your figure, “Are you still going to be there next time?”
You didn’t even look back at him, but he saw your shoulders shake in a bittersweet sort of laugh, now out of his reach. “In a year, you mean? When the Grand Prix calls you back to Texas? I don’t wait, Max. My life isn’t drawn for me. I take my chances.”
You disappeared.
Max didn’t follow. He just stood there, the imprint of your touch still warm over his heart, wondering if this night would feel like a dream come morning. If you ever existed ─ or if Coyote Ugly had simply conjured you from the smoke and the music to remind him what wanting felt like.
He hadn’t kissed you, but he would never forget almost doing it.
When he climbed in the back of Daniel’s car, he evaded all the questions, the friendly mockery, the knowing glances, the snickering about the cowboy hat he still held in his hand like it was something breakable. Max just sat there, humming along to the comments Carlos made about the night, fidgeting with the brim and rubbing his thumb along the worn fabric like it might give him answers. Maybe it had caught something of you ─ your perfume, your voice, your laugh, the heat of your skin ─ and would let it slip back to him if he held on it long enough.
But it didn’t.
Later, Max crawled into bed with the weight of the night hanging around his ankles like shackles, dragging the air from his lungs. He didn’t sleep much. He didn’t want to.
He woke up with the sun, far too bright for the early morning, streaming through the blinds he forgot to close. He could feel his brain pulsing behind his eyes, his bloodshot eyes struggling to stay open, the remaining, chalky taste of whiskey sticking to his palate like cement. The evening flashed before him, a fever dream he wished he had the strength to push away ─ the obnoxious music, the sweat, the alcohol, and your smile.
Almost.
Max groaned, sitting up with difficulty on his bed. Every single one of his muscles ached, a sore reminder of the failed attempts at dancing and bartending he made last night ─ some spots hurt more than others, and in some measure, they felt like the shape of your hands.
The cowboy hat he had tossed last night, in the desperate attempt to stop anguishing about the brush of your breath across his lips, laid in front of him, miserable. Max couldn’t help himself and he reached for it out of instinct.
It felt cheaper than it did before, most imperfect underneath the daylight. He’d already memorized the texture and shape of the memento, obsessively tracing it, and yet it didn’t feel sufficient. He supposed it never would, and he’d have to live with this reality.
Max was about to put it back on his nightstand. To swallow down an Ibuprofen, chase it with an ice-cold shower, and carry on with his life like always. Another plane, another race, hopefully another win.
But something made him pause. He turned the hat in his hands again, just like he did a few hours before sleep took him by surprise.
And there it was. Tucked just inside the brim, where the lining met the crown ─ scrawled in smudged black ink he’d bet his life was eyeliner, barely visible unless you were compulsively looking for it─
if you dare.
A little heart, and a phone number scribbled right beside it.
Max blinked, mouth parting just slightly, heart mistaking the rhythm of his breathing for the first few notes of a country song. He read it again, and again until it stopped feeling like a trick of the light and started feeling like a choice.
He left thinking you were supposed to be one moment. One night. A blur of burn and guitar chords ─ but you’d left a door open.
And it was seemingly Max’s turn to take his chance.

Eddie thought inviting Steve to the Grammys would be fine, cool, no big deal. And it should be, but Steve is walking out of the suite's bedroom wearing a burgundy tuxedo that fits him like a fucking glove. His shirt is unbuttoned just enough to let chest hair peak out, and Eddie thinks he might faint.
He's always been attracted to Steve, of course, but never let it go further than that. Like, sure, Steve was hot as fuck, and sure he was the best guy Eddie had ever met, and sometimes, yeah, he did have to force away thoughts of Steve when he jerked off, and in other circumstances he'd totally be head over heels. Just, Steve is straight, the straightest, a fucking arrow.
Eddie tears his eyes from Steve's body. "You look great, man." He slaps Steve's back. Keeping it cool; keeping it so cool.
"Psh," Steve says. "Have you looked in a mirror? Oh my god." His eyes are saucer wide as they travel down Eddie's body.
"Is it too much?" Eddie crosses his arms over his bare chest.
"Are you kidding? You're--fuck, man. You look good as hell."
He's wearing a silky burgundy shirt, open to show off the necklaces around his throat, his tattoos, the silver in his nipples. His pants are leather, tight, sitting low on his hips and putting the cut of his pelvic bone on full display. They have a lace-up closure that comes dangerously close to showing pube.
Heat rushes to his face at the compliment. "It's--you know. Hazard of the job."
"Yeah, hazard, sure. Guess it's a hard life having hot dudes literally throwing themselves at you."
Eddie barks out a laugh. "That's a vast exaggeration."
"Is it?"
He blushes harder. "You're my date tonight, Steve."
"My point exactly."
His manager and publicist usher them out the door before he can ask what the hell that meant.
---
The ride is giddy and playful, Steve popping champagne to celebrate Eddie's nomination for Song of the Year, even though there's no chance in hell he wins.
Steve is happy. His face is bright with joy, eyes shining, laugh loud and infectious. He's gorgeous, knows it, will be an absolute menace on the red carpet. He's been with Eddie to parties and stuff before, doesn't have any anxiety in front of the camera and isn't obsessed with musicians like Eddie is, unafraid to meet them.
Or so Eddie thought.
Because now they're standing at the edge of the red carpet, Steve very nearly trembling next to him.
"Harrington?"
"That's--That's Madonna." Steve points to her. "We're not even ten feet away from Madonna." He gulps. "Eddie. Madonna."
Steve has met famous people before with Eddie. Ozzy, briefly, Janet Jackson, Dave Grohl, James Hetfield, and he'd always been fine. Barely batted an eye. But get him within reaching distance of Madonna and he falls apart.
Eddie doesn't think about it, grabs Steve's hand, twines their fingers together. "Okay?"
The smile Steve throws him, grateful and a little embarrassed, stabs straight through his heart. He calms as they make it up the carpet, but he doesn't drop Eddie's hand, even when they pause for pictures. In fact, he leans into it, drapes his arm around Eddie's shoulders, or around his waist, seeming to thrive the closer they are. Eddie feels this dangerous pull to indulge in it, to let himself believe it means something, and he doesn't quite have it in him to turn it off.
By the time they reach their seats, Steve is relaxed back to his normal charming and handsome self, doesn't bat an eye as Eddie introduces him around.
The show passes quickly with all the performances and Steve whispering jokes in his ear. It's the best time he's ever had at an award show, like he should have been bringing Steve along this whole time. He's so distracted that he's not really ready when Paula Abdul comes out to announce Song of the Year.
His name is read off as a nominee and Steve grabs his hand, squeezes tight. Eddie's heart flips in his chest. He's not paying attention when Paula opens the envelope, too focused on Steve's strong hand holding his. He hears her say, "And the Grammy goes to--" and everything goes fuzzy.
Steve is saying, "oh my god, oh my god, Eddie. Get up, get up."
And his fucking song is playing and everyone is cheering, a couple people slap his back, and oh shit, oh shit, he fucking won. He stands, Steve with him. He thinks they're going to hug, that's what you do in these situations, but Steve is kissing him. Not on the cheek and not a quick peck, but lip-to-lip, soft and sweet.
Steve just kissed him and he has to get on stage and give a speech. He has no idea what he says because Steve just kissed him. On the lips. On purpose. His ears are ringing and words tumble out of his mouth, thinks he says, "couldn't have done it without you, Stevie," before tripping over his feet to get backstage.
Interviews, photographs, congratulations all help him settle. He's still buzzing with the win, but aware enough now to think the kiss had to be an accident. They've been friends for nearly a decade and Steve never seemed interested in men generally or Eddie specifically.
It takes a while to finish up the backstage business, but when he makes it to his seat, Steve just beams at him. He doesn't mention the kiss, which makes Eddie think he's overreacting. It wasn't a big deal. Sure, he could still feel Steve's lips, warm and soft, against his own, but it didn't mean anything. He's just too in his big gay feelings to be objective.
They don't get a chance to really talk until they're back in the limo and on their way to the after-party.
"You won," Steve says.
"I won." Eddie smiles. "Crazy."
"You deserved it."
He shrugs. "I don't know about that."
"Doesn't matter. You did." Steve fidgets with the cuff of his jacket. "About earlier, um. The kiss. I--"
Eddie feels his face heating, heart kicking up. It was nothing, he knows, and Steve shouldn't have to-- "It was an accident. It's okay. I know you don't--it was the heat of the moment and--I know you're not--you don't--"
Steve blinks a lot, emotions flashing across his face faster than Eddie can categorize.
"What if I do?" Steve asks. His voice is too soft, eyes locked on the cuff link he's fiddling with.
"You--what?"
"What if I did mean it?"
"You're straight."
Steve goes pink. "I'm really not."
"Steve?" He shrieks. "Since when?"
"Um. Since you invited me to this?"
"What the fuck?" Eddie shoves him. "What the fuck, man?"
"I know, I know!" Steve pulls his hand through his hair. "You invited me and I freaked out and I didn't know why, and Robin made the saddest little face at me. Said, 'oh, dingus, you didn't know?' How the fuck was I supposed to know!"
"I think you wanting to fuck me should've been a pretty good indication!"
"I thought that happened to everyone!"
"It doesn't!"
"That's what Robin said!"
They're both yelling.
"Jesus christ. Jesus christ," Eddie keeps repeating.
"Look, I get it if you don't want me too, dude. I know that's not how it works, but I've been pretty crazy about you without realizing it for a while now, so--"
He doesn't mean to, he really doesn't, but he laughs. Like, super loud. Like a donkey bray.
"Okay, can the driver let me out? Like, can I go? I can't--"
"Wait, wait, sweetheart." Steve's gotten up, like he's about to knock on the partition, but Eddie grabs his wrist. "Of course I want you back, you idiot, oh my god."
"Oh." Steve's ears are pink. "Oh. Well. That's good."
Eddie huffs. "Just good? I won a Grammy and the guy I've been pining over for years wants me back. I'm having the night of my life."
"Shut-up." Steve's smile is so big, his eyes so bright.
He raises an eyebrow. "Make me," he says in his lowest register, but he's truly not prepared for it when Steve clambers over to him and lowers himself to straddle Eddie's hips.
"Holy shit," Eddie whispers. "Holy shit, Steve."
He give a wry little smile, eyes locked on Eddie's mouth. "Baby, can I kiss you?"
"Yes." Eddie clears his throat. "Yes, please, do that. Yeah."
Only, he doesn't. He's straddling Eddie, they're so close their breath mingles, and Steve's eyes flicker between Eddie's mouth and his eyes, lips so close to touching but not.
"C'mon, asshole," Eddie says.
"I knew you'd be a brat." He whispers. He wraps his hands into Eddie's hair. "Been dying to do this."
And then they're kissing. They're kissing and it steals all of Eddie's breath and his thoughts, and it's new but it's also like they've been kissing forever, like their lips and tongue know each other, like coming home.
He whines, high-pitched and breathy, and Steve laughs, kisses him deeper, moves closer, and Eddie feels how hard Steve is, the persistent pulse of him. And shit Eddie's close, on the brink just from this, from nothing, oh my god.
Steve's hands drift down Eddie's torso, mapping his chest and his stomach, coming to rest at the laces of his pants. "These have been driving me insane," Steve breaks the kiss to say. "Been thinking about undoing them all night."
"Fuck, sweetheart, you can't say shit like that," Eddie groans.
"Why not?"
"Because--because," Eddie sputters but then Steve's lips are on his neck and he's rolling his hips for friction.
Steve's fingers find the laces again, trace against them. Eddie's legs fall open, arching into the touch. "We're going to be so late," he murmurs as Steve's fingers get to work.

My Burning Sun Will Someday Rise

part 1 | part 2 | part 3 || read on AO3
summary: Joel and reader's vacation continues and lines start to blur. tags: daddy kink, big age gap (Joel is 49, reader is 23), dbf!Joel, Joel has a lovely belly, Joel is a little mean, praise kink, Joel calls reader "kid", unprotected piv, creampie, cunnilingus, sexual tension, blow jobs, smut with a little bit of plot, no use of Y/N, afab!reader, reader has hair (will add more as I add more parts)
note: happy new year to all of you, and sorry for the long wait! I was completely flashed by the love you showed for part 1 (THANK YOU!!!), and wanted to live up to your expectations. I’ll try to write part 3 as quickly as possible! Sorry if there's any typos, I edited this while severely hungover
The afternoon at the beach was relaxing and lighthearted after you agreed with Joel and stopped studying so much, and you find that apart from having a body that makes you clench your thighs together, he’s interesting to talk to. He doesn’t give you the same bullshit about university and acting responsibly, but rather accepts that there are things you dislike about your degree. He doesn’t offer advice on how to learn to enjoy those things, he just nods when you tell him you’ve learnt to deal with them. He treats you like an adult, someone who makes their own informed choices – something your life has been sorely lacking.
You head back to the rooms in comfortable silence, and you enjoy the way Joel’s arm almost grazes yours. When you think about the flutter in your stomach for too long it’s ridiculous, but it’s so easy to leave behind the morals and expectations of home when all you’re facing right now is an all-inclusive dinner and as many cocktails as you want. You aren’t planning on getting drunk if Joel isn’t, but you want to have fun tonight. You haven’t been on a real vacation in ages.
You take another shower once you’re in your room, wash away the sunscreen and sea salt, until your hair is all soft again and you smell like shampoo. The hotel restaurant isn’t super fancy, but you feel like putting in a little effort, so you pick out a black dress you like, and wear your sandals again. You wonder if you’ll get cold – the days are burning hot, but at night there’s a cool breeze that might make you regret your choice of clothes. Fuck it, you think, you haven’t had an occasion to dress up in ages, and getting Joel all flustered again sure seems like reason enough. You grab your purse, phone and keycard, and head to the door.
Joel opens his door at the same time you do, and you swallow when you see he’s changed outfits, too. His hair is slightly damp and all curly, he’s wearing black jeans and a simple black t-shirt with an unbuttoned, flowy linen shirt over it. The sleeves are rolled up to reveal his forearms. It’s stylish. You didn’t expect Joel Miller to look stylish.
"Wow," you say with a smile. "You clean up nice."
Joel just huffs, but his eyes ghost over your dress for a second too long. He doesn’t answer.
When you get to the restaurant, Joel pulls out your chair for you, which earns him a blinding smile. Stylish and a gentleman, who would have thought? Back home he always seemed like a grumpy lumberjack to you, and although you do find him excruciatingly attractive in his flannels, you’re intrigued to find out what else you didn’t know about him.
"Is it really all-inclusive?", you ask, gazing at the menu and not quite believing you can order anything you’d like and not pay for it.
"Sure. You want a cocktail?"
"If you’ll have one with me?"
Joel holds your gaze, but shakes his head.
"I think I prefer whiskey over that sweet stuff," he says, and you make a face.
"Fine, whiskey it is, then," you say, and Joel frowns.
"You don’t have to drink what I’m drinkin’. Have a cocktail."
This time you’re the one to shake your head.
"It’s no fun, having cocktails on your own. But I haven’t had whiskey in ages, maybe I like it better now."
The corner of Joel’s mouth twitches.
"Ages, huh? How long have you been allowed to drink again?"
You smile, but don’t dignify his question with an answer, and after a moment Joel chuckles and looks back at the menu.
"Fine, I’ll have a Gin Fizz," he says, looking up again. "You?"
He wants to order a cocktail, just so that you can enjoy having one, too. Your stomach flutters.
"Joel, you don’t have t-"
"I know I don’t. I’m having a Gin Fizz."
There’s a finality to his tone, but his voice is friendly. You give him a reluctant smile, one that isn’t ironic or half-joking. He smiles back, and leans back in his chair, eyes still on yours. You study the menu again, this time having a closer look at the cocktails.
"Sex on the beach," you say seriously, and Joel snorts.
"Clever."
***
You do end up drinking a sex on the beach, and Joel actually enjoys his gin fizz. The food is delicious, Joel lets you try a piece of his steak and you offer him a bite of your fish, but he declines with a disgusted look on his face that makes you grin. No seafood for Joel Miller, then.
Joel orders you another cocktail when the waiter clears your plates, and you smile to yourself. He’s being courteous.
"Are you trying to get me drunk, Miller?", you ask, the corner of your mouth twitching. Joel raises an eyebrow.
"I think you’re managin’ that without my help."
He’s right, of course – your long day of traveling makes the buzz in your head more prominent, and although you’re nowhere near drunk, your tongue is a little looser than usually, and you find it much easier to hold Joel’s eye-contact.
"I’m glad I came here," you say all of a sudden, the thought fleeting, but true. "I needed a break."
Joel’s smile is honest, when he answers.
"I’m glad you came, too. It’d be boring, bein’ here on my own."
"Right," you say, "who would get you to drink cocktails? You’d be stuck drinking disgusting whiskey and wallowing in your loneliness."
Joel smiles, shaking his head slightly, and takes a sip of his Gin.
"You wanna head down to the beach?", you ask when your glasses are empty and you feel a little woozy from the second cocktail. Joel looks surprised.
"I love the sea at night," you say a little dreamily, voice trailing off.
"Sure. Let’s go," Joel just answers.
The air outside is cool, just like you anticipated, and you shiver slightly, wrapping your arms around yourself to keep the goosebumps at bay. Joel notices, and immediately shrugs out of his linen shirt, handing it to you. You stare at him.
"Take it," he insists, and you do, the fabric soft in your hands. You slip it on, the sleeves coming down to your fingertips, the collar smelling of Joel’s cologne. You wonder why it took you two cocktails to notice how good he smells. When you’re done rolling up the sleeves, you look up and find Joel watching you quietly. Your eyes meet – he looks away, and starts walking again.
You’re pleasantly tipsy, walking to the beach at night, wearing Joel Miller’s clothes and brushing his arm with yours every once in a while. It feels a little surreal.
"Aren’t you cold now?", you ask after a couple of minutes of quiet.
"No," Joel answers, his voice a little rougher than before, "’sides, you wear it better anyway."
You flush, and when you don’t answer, he looks at you.
"Jesus, sorry," he mumbles. "I didn’t…it slipped out. Just meant you look pretty, is all."
Your stomach swirls pleasantly, and you want Joel to put his arm around your shoulder, or kiss you, or take that shirt off again. You clear your throat.
"Thanks," you answer quietly, toying with the hem of the shirt. "I think you wore it well, too, though. Suits you."
Joel doesn’t answer, but when you glance at him, you notice the ghost of a smile on his face, half-hidden by his patchy beard.
You walk the rest of the way in contemplative silence, each of you lost in your thoughts. You’re always amazed to see the sea at night. The darkness somehow elevates its vastness, water and sky bleeding into each other at the near invisible horizon. It’s easy to forget about your exams here, with the whole expanse of the planet spread out before you, the relentlessly calm sound of the waves, and Joel’s scent in your nose. You sit down on an abandoned deck chair and watch Joel walk up to the water, pick up a seashell, and drop it into the water again. He seems content to be here, you think. Relaxed. You don’t know him well, but his body language seems more at ease than it did back home. Perhaps you’re not the only one who needed a break.
You get up again, and walk over to Joel, who smiles when he sees you coming.
"You were right," he says, "it’s different in the dark."
You know he means the sea, the beach, the lack of people around, the sand that burned your feet only hours ago now having a cooling effect. Still, his words leave room for interpretation and you don’t miss the way his gaze moves over your form in his shirt.
"Thanks for the cocktails," you say quietly, "and the shirt."
Joel looks over at you, but you don’t have the guts to look at him. You can’t quite be sure what the moonlight and scenery will make you do, not when he’s never looked more handsome, and you’re more than tipsy.
"You’re welcome," he says honestly. "I know you’re doin’ this for your Dad more than anything, but I hope you’re still havin’ fun."
He’s self-conscious, or something close to it, wondering how he could make this trip more enjoyable for you – so he orders cocktails he doesn’t like and lets you wear his clothes.
"I am having fun," you reassure him. "I’m at the beach at night wearing a guy’s shirt who got me all the cocktails I wanted, instead of studying at my desk for the millionth night in a row."
Joel chuckles.
"My Dad should break his leg more often," you sigh, digging the heel of your foot into the sand. Joel doesn’t answer.
When you walk back to the hotel, you feel the ghost of his hand on your lower back, not touching, but lingering, as if he instinctively wants to stir you in the right direction, or keep you from stumbling. It makes that flutter in your stomach reappear.
You pass reception to get to the elevators, and the same woman is still there, smiling when he recognizes you.
"You two enjoying the sea?", she asks.
"Very much, thank you," you answer, "we had cocktails and walked to the beach."
The lady looks pleased at how happy you seem and smiles at Joel.
"I’m glad to hear it! Well, you two enjoy your Daddy-daughter trip," she says, before answering the telephone that starts ringing just as you’re about to say good-night.
Joel’s brows are furrowed when you look at him, which makes you suppress a grin. The lady assuming he’s your father is clearly bothering him, and you get the feeling it might not entirely be about his age.
When you’ve made it up to your rooms, you turn to Joel to find him already watching you. He looks different here, in the harsh light of the corridor, dark shadows falling over his features, his form somehow looking broader.
"Breakfast at nine?", he asks you, voice quiet so as not to disturb any other guests in their rooms.
"Yeah," you say, and before you can change your mind, you kiss his cheek. His expression is unreadable, when you pull away.
"Goodnight," you say with a tired smile, before teasingly adding "Daddy."
Joel holds your eye contact, and doesn’t flush this time.
"Careful," he says gently, voice low and dark. You swallow.
Before you can forget, you shrug off his shirt, but Joel doesn’t move to take it from your outstretched hand. After a beat, his eyes flicker over your face.
"Keep it," he says curtly, "I like it on ya."
And then he’s gone, the door to his room shutting with a soft thud. You shake your head slightly, and press the soft linen fabric against your nose, inhaling the scent of his cologne and sweat. You ache just at the thought of it having touched his skin, and him now wanting to see you in it, but it would feel like a violation if you relieved that ache now, even if Joel wasn’t there, so you ignore the dull throbbing between your legs best as you can and go to bed with Joel’s shirt right next to your bed.
***
The next morning you feel a little nervous about breakfast – something shifted between you and Joel after your good-bye in the hallway. He seemed so sure of himself when he told you he liked you in his shirt, so unwavering, and you’re a nervous wreck just thinking about saying good morning to him.
Instead of putting on the white sundress you wore yesterday, you slip into a bikini, a pair of comfortable shorts, and Joel’s linen shirt, half unbuttoned so that your necklace peeks out. This time you leave the sleeves un-rolled, liking how big it feels on you, a constant reminder of Joel’s size.
You wash your face and brush your teeth, but don’t shower since you’re going to have to do that in the evening anyway. Although you’re mostly excited to see Joel again, you also can’t wait to have your morning coffee and something to eat – you hope the breakfast buffet will be as good as dinner was.
You wait for Joel in the hallway, but when he doesn’t come out of his room, you knock on his door.
"One second," his voice comes from inside, and you wait leaning against the wall just like he did the day before. When he opens the door, you can’t suppress a smile – his hair is charmingly tousled from his sleep, he clearly didn’t know what to do with it without taking a shower first.
"Nice hair," you say, the corner of your mouth twitching. Joel doesn’t answer, with his brows slightly furrowed he keeps staring at you. Anxiety floods your veins, and you wonder if it was the best idea to dress the way you did, if Joel might think of it as strange or creepy or pathetic.
"You’re wearing my shirt," he says, voice quiet and still rough from sleep. It’s not a question, just a statement, no judgement behind it. You swallow, watching his brown eyes trail over your arms, torso, your shorts.
"Yeah," you answer timidly, fighting the urge to cross your arms. "You said you liked it on me."
Joel’s eyes snap up to yours, and with all the courage you can muster up, you hold his gaze for several long seconds.
"I did."
Again, just a statement. One that doesn’t require an answer, but you feel like shrinking under Joel’s gaze, so you offer him an out out of the situation.
"I’ll take it off, if you want me to," you mutter, and quickly add "I’ll put on something else."
Joel watches you quietly, and finally runs a hand through his messy hair.
"No need, kid," he says with a defeated sounding exhale. "’M glad ya like it."
***
Breakfast is a welcome distraction from whatever happened in the hallway – you drink too much coffee, and try all of the delicious food offered: bacon and eggs, colorful fruit you have never seen before, yoghurt and pancakes. Joel sticks to coffee and toast, though he does steal one of the peaces of fruit from your plate.
"I’ll get one more cup," you say when you have drained the last of your coffee, and Joel chuckles.
"Might as well do a line," he says and you snort, but stay seated – he’s right, you should watch your caffeine intake. He watches you, and after a second raises an eyebrow.
"I didn’t mean anything by it. You drink as much coffee as you want."
His voice is apologetic and soft.
"No, I’ll do as you say," you answer, "or I’ll die of heart failure."
Something flashes over his face at those words, but you can’t pinpoint it. Still, your stomach flutters, when Joel doesn’t break the eye-contact.
After breakfast the two of you get your towels and the rest of your beach-belongings from your rooms, and Joel changes into his trunks again. You walk past reception quietly, the lady from the day before isn’t there, and Joel’s arm brushes against yours casually. Suddenly you wish you weren’t wearing his shirt, just to feel his skin against yours. It’s a little pathetic.
Joel gets you two deckchairs – the beach is still relatively empty – and you put on sunscreen. When you’re done with your limbs and stomach, you offer Joel the bottle.
"Do my back, please?"
"Sure," he mutters, taking the bottle from you, and gently stroking your hair out of the way. He’s quiet, holding you steady by the shoulder when you instinctively squirm away from the initial cold of the liquid on your skin, his hands calloused but gentle. From time to time, his fingers slip under the shoulder straps of your bikini, and you feel heat pool between your legs when he starts covering your lower back in sunscreen. His hand is dangerously close to the waistband of your swimsuit.
"All done," he says, closing the bottle. You raise an eyebrow.
"Don’t need sunscreen," he explains, "I don’t burn easy."
"You’ll get skin cancer," you argue. "Everybody needs sunscreen."
He huffs, but hands you the bottle and turns around to sit down on the deckchair. You watch his beautiful back, the way the skin ripples over his muscles, how broad and solid it seems. You squirt some of the sunscreen onto your hand and apply it to Joel’s shoulders, rubbing gently. He relaxes under your touch, the tension leaving his muscles, and you move your hands more deliberately, focusing on his shoulders, until Joel’s head falls forward slightly, giving into the sensation.
"Good?", you ask, a little shy.
Joel hums, and you wonder if his eyes are closed, if he’s enjoying your touch so much he can’t form a full sentence. You dig the heels of your palms into his muscles, the sunscreen making the slide easy. His skin his littered in freckles and birthmarks, marked by years of working under the sun.
"You always apply sunscreen like that?", Joel asks suddenly, and you flush.
"Most people aren’t this tense," you quip back, fingers gliding over Joel’s neck. "Actually, nobody’s ever been this tense, I think."
He shakes his head slightly, but lets you carry on, working your way down his back, the tan line of his trunks visible and oh so tempting. You imagine pulling them down and try to refrain from clenching your thighs together.
When you’re done, Joel’s muscles feel a little looser, more relaxed, and he turns around to look at you.
"Thanks," he says quietly, and you nod. Now that he can see you, look you directly in the eye, it feels almost absurdly bold to have touched him like that. Still, things have started to unravel a little. Lines have blurred.
Although you don’t know where you get the courage from, you hold his gaze, put one hand on his shoulder, and squeeze.
"Any time, Joel," you answer, and watch him swallow. Then, his own hand comes up to yours, and you half think he’s going to remove yours, but he just loosely wraps his fingers around your wrist, eyes not leaving yours.
"That’s a dangerous game you’re playin’, kid," he says quietly, but doesn’t let go of you. You hope he never does.
"Do you…want me to stop?", you ask him, because you will if this is making him uncomfortable, if you read him wrong. He’s silent for a second.
"No," he says so quietly it’s almost inaudible. His thumb starts moving over your wrist, right over the pulse point, and it makes you weak in the knees. You didn’t know a touch as small as that one could be so erotic, but with Joel it seems, everything is. You fight to not let a whimper escape your mouth, and close your eyes for just a second.
"God," Joel mutters, more to himself than to you, "look at you."
Your eyes snap open when you feel him move, hand still locked around your wrist securely, and suddenly he’s towering over you. You gaze up at him, his eyes bright under the blazing sun, his hair still tousled, his beard patchy and flecked with grey. He’s all man, in a way you didn’t know you found desirable before him, but there is undeniable proof of your want leaking into your swimsuit, sticky and hot between your thighs.
He watches you, intense eyes moving over your face, your eyes, your mouth, your hands, your body in your nicest swimsuit, your throat as you swallow. His other hand comes up to stroke the hair away from your neck, and goosebumps erupt on your skin. Joel almost chuckles, but it’s more the ghost of a breath. You flush.
"It’s fucking stupid to go through with this," Joel says seriously, like he wants to inform you of it – as if you don’t know.
"Yes," you breathe, because he’s completely right.
"Your Dad would kill me, and rightly so," he adds.
"Oh, fuck my Dad," you answer, trying to reach out to touch Joel, but your wrist is still tightly locked in his grasp. You tug a little, but he doesn’t budge.
"You doin’ this to get back at him?"
You detect something in his voice you don’t like – uncertainty.
"No, Joel," you breathe, "God, no. Have you looked into a mirror recently?"
That makes him smile, and you wonder if he gets compliments a lot, but by the way his cheeks gain color, you don’t think he does. Stupid, stupid world, stupid people who came before you. He should be told every second of the day.
"It’s still stupid,“ he says, but his eyes are more intense than before now. You’re on holiday, away from all judgement. You can do whatever you want to do to each other.
"Thought I was the smart one in my family," you tease, reminding him of his words on the plane. You want him to lean down and finally kiss you, or throw you down on the deckchair and fuck you right there, your face pressed into his linen shirt. His thumb keeps moving over your wrist, relentlessly building tension.
"Take me to your room," you whisper, eyes wide, and anticipation pooling deep in your belly. Joel curses.
"You have any idea of the things I wanna do to you?"
His voice is low, dangerous, and you’d be at least a little afraid if this one anyone else. But it’s Joel, who lets you hate your degree without judgement, drinks cocktails he doesn’t like just so you can enjoy yourself, and through his permission allows you to stop studying, lets you enjoy this trip.
"Do them," you breathe, "I’ll let you do anything."
"Jesus fucking Christ, kid," he answers, and finally lets go of your wrist, one hand coming to rest on your waist, tugging you towards him, the other gently cradling your face. His breath ghosts over your mouth, and then he brushes your lips with his in a needy, slow kiss. His tongue slips into your mouth and you open up for him willingly. He tugs your hips against him, making you whimper and feel his bulge dig into your stomach.
The only thing keeping you from pulling him out of his swimming trunks right then is the fact that there are people around, and you’re pushing it already with the way his hands grasp at your skin and his tongue licks in your mouth. Any further and you could be arrested for public indecency.
"Please," you ask him between kisses, "Please, Joel, just take me to your room."
His teeth dig into your lower lip, and you fight a moan.
"Ask me again," he says, voice a little wrecked, and the need you feel for him deep in your stomach burns white hot. He wants you to beg.
"Please," you say, like he isn’t stripping you of your dignity instead of your clothes, but you can’t bring yourself to feel embarrassed, not when Joel groans at the sound.
"Alright, kid. I’ve got you.“

𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 | lee myung-gi (player 333) × fem!reader
summary | the night before entering the squid game, Myung-gi shares a passionate evening with his girlfriend, hiding the truth about his impending departure
warnings | angst, smut, explicit content, p in v, implied abandonment
word count | 1.2 k
author's note | it would help me a lot if you liked, commented and reposted so that more people read what I write and don't forget to follow me thanks ᡣ𐭩

You are sitting on the bed, watching Myung-gi as he takes off his jacket and carefully places it on the back of the chair. He has that serious expression that has been accompanying him lately, as if he were carrying an invisible weight that he doesn't dare to share with you.
"Are you okay?" you ask, breaking the silence.
He pauses for a moment, as if considering lying to you, but finally nods.
"Yes. Just... I've been thinking about a lot of things".
"Like what?" you insist, searching for his gaze.
He approaches the bed and sits down beside you. His fingers brush against yours, and his touch makes you forget, even if just for a second, the worry that has been growing in your chest.
"In us. In what I want for you, for me".
You frown, feeling how vague words only feed your doubts.
"Why do you speak as if it were a farewell?"
"It's not". Her voice trembles slightly, and for the first time, you see a glimmer of something in her eyes: fear. He leans towards you, taking your face in his hands with a gentleness that contrasts with the intensity of his gaze.
"I just want you to know how much I love you.
You don't respond. Instead, you close your eyes when his lips meet yours, warm and urgent, as if he were trying to imprint this moment in his memory. His kiss is different this time, full of a passion that disarms you and a sadness you don't quite understand.
When his lips leave yours, you barely have time to breathe before he comes back for you, this time with more fervor. You lie back on the bed, feeling his hands glide over your body, each caress laden with a desire that seems intent on erasing any distance between you.
"I need you," he murmurs against your neck, his voice hoarse, vulnerable.
Your hands roam his back, clinging to him as if you feared he would vanish at any moment.
"I'm always here for you," you reply, not knowing that those words will be the ones he repeats to himself over and over in the days to come. You unbutton your blouse and take off his shirt, savoring the sensation of his skin against yours. You bring his lips to your chest, and he kisses them with an uncontrollable passion that makes you arch your back in search of more.
"I want to see you," you murmur, not caring if it sounds like a request, as if touch and passion weren't enough.
He looks up at you with a restrained smile.
"What do you want to see?".
"Everything. Everything about you." You look at him intently, noticing how his pupils dilate as he understands your words.
He nods, a brief gesture that does not hide the surprise in his eyes. His hands approach your skirt, and slowly and deliberately, he begins to move his hands up your thighs. Your fingers grip the sheets, trying to hold your breath as his fingers brush the edge of your underwear.
"Is this what you want?"
"No" you say, without breaking eye contact. "It's not enough".
"It's fine" he replies, as if he already knew the answer. He kisses your thighs and steps back to remove your skirt and thong. His gaze travels over every inch of your body, without noticing his own clothes and how they slip off your shoulders.
"Say it". He keeps his gaze on your curves. "If you don't, I won't be able to..."
"I want to see you". Your eyes stop at his belt, which is halfway down his left hip. All of you. "You just uttered the last word when his fingers begin to unfasten the belt buckles."
The sound of metal is the only music in the room. Myung-gi leans back to take off his pants, and your eyes widen when you see he is only wearing his gray underwear.
"Don't stop," you encourage him. "I want to see you".
His eyes look at you with the same passion with which they used to look at you all.
"Just say it again."
"I want to see you," you repeat. "All of you".
He caresses the bulge that protrudes from his pants. His fingers slide lightly over his erection, a caress that makes your thighs tense without you being able to help it. He seems to read your mind, because his fingers move to the waistband of his underwear to remove them.
"Whatever you want" he says, and you need nothing more to understand the meaning behind his words.
It's as if a part of him were granting you a great concession.
His cock is long and thick, protruding from his pelvis like an arrow. Myung-gi doesn't take long to caress it, holding it with his fingers with surprising gentleness and looking into your eyes with a mischievous glint in his gaze. He slides his thumb over her pink bud, as if it were a challenge for you.
"Is this how you like it?" he asks with a smirk, as he starts to move his hand so that his erection glistens with saliva and his own secretions.
"I like you" you respond, trying to remind yourself to keep your composure. "That's what I like".
You put a finger on her lips, as if it were the most natural thing in the world to do.
He quickly takes it, sucking your finger provocatively. He sucks at an increasingly faster pace, and your nipples harden as you remember the times you've let him do the same with your breasts, surrounding your nipples with his lips and sucking them so hard it felt like your body was on the verge of orgasm without having any idea why.
"Remember this," he says as he releases your finger. Remember me.
"I would never forget you," you reply. Unless you want something else. You looked into his eyes, your heart racing. "Do you want anything else?".
"Just you. Just this.." He tilts his head back and kisses you, with a furious and desire-filled passion.
You slide your hand over his cock, stroking it from the tip to the balls and back up slowly but surely, as if you felt in control of his pleasure. He moans in your mouth, a sensation as thrilling as it is terrifying.
"Fuck..." whispers. "Fuck".
"Do you like it?" you ask, kissing him briefly. "Is this what you want?".
He nods, without stopping the caresses on your breasts. Your nipples harden more with his caresses, and you can't help but arch your back a little to feel his fingers better on your breasts.
"That's it... that's what..." It seems like I can barely speak. "That's perfect". He steps away from you for just a moment to remove your panties. His gaze stops at your legs and his eyes widen.
"Do you see it?" he says, showing you his fingers. "Do you see it? You have some kind of fluids in your panties".
"I see it," you respond, blushing a little. Don't worry about it.
"That excites me more," he says with a smile. "I love that you like it". He caresses your thighs with his hands, with a softness in his fingers that makes your breasts harden no matter how much you try to breathe. "Do you want me to caress you there?"
"Where?"you say, pretending not to understand. "Where do you want to touch me?" You also have your hands on his erection, and the sound of his moans makes you wish he could hold out longer.
"There". He caresses your legs, moving his fingers up, towards your panties, before stopping at your se "I want to put my fingers here, feel you wet... and hot".
"It's one of your favorite fantasies" you say, smiling a little. You don't need to ask about that. You caress it with a slow movement of your fingers, knowing that you want more than that for him, but not quite knowing what.
"Do you want more?" you ask him. "What do you really want from me?".
"Just... just you" he repeats, without stopping kissing you. "That's all I've ever wanted". His fingers press against your sex, moving down with an increasingly intense softness. "This is just for us".
"Yes," you nod, kissing him. "All of this is ours". You took her hand with yours and brought it to your sex. Her fingers need no further invitation to move up and enter you.
"Ah..." You sigh, feeling the pressure of his fingers inside you.
"Oh, Myung-gi..." You can't help but moan, you can't help but feel lost in his eyes and in his caresses.
"Is this what you like?" he asks me, with his fingers on your sex and his erection pressing against your thighs. "Is that what you like?"
"Yes" you respond, feeling the pleasure grow in your belly. "Oh my God...!" Your fingers seek his shoulders, clinging as if you couldn't bear to let him go.
He keeps caressing you, his fingers moving in an increasingly intense rhythm. Your sex throbs to the rhythm of his caresses, as if trying to tell him something you can't say out loud.
"Do you want anything else?" he murmurs into your neck, with his cock pressing against your sex. Do you want to feel me there?
"Yes" you respond, feeling the pleasure like a wave growing inside you. "Yes... yes..." Your sex closes around his fingers, as if trying to keep them there, to have his hand inside you forever. "Myung-gi!"
He pulls out of you a moment later, his fingers slippery and stained with your fluids.
"Remember me like this," he says, as if words were the only thing he could do. "Remember me here". He takes your sex firmly, without delicacy, and thrusts it into you with a deep caress.
"Myung-gi!" Your legs close around him, feeling his cock so hard against your walls. "Oh... oh my God...".
"Yes" he gasps, pulling out a little before thrusting back in, deeper. "Like this. That's it... just like that..." He kisses you a moment later, his cock moving inside you with a rhythm that soon brings you to the edge of pleasure. "That's right. Only you".
"Oh, Myung-gi" you repeat, feeling the orgasm as a growing wave that will soon make you explode.
"Only you. Just for you". Your nails dig into his back with the effort to keep the rhythm and endure his movements.
"Just..." You can no longer keep talking. His erection inside you makes the pleasure so intense that you can't do anything but feel, you can't do anything but feel it inside you, each caress like a flame igniting in your body.
"Myung-gi..." The waves of pleasure begin to take over your body, making your thighs tremble and your fingers dig into his skin. "... Myung-gi, don't stop..." Your walls close around his cock with the orgasm, feeling your fluids spill over his erection.
"Fuck," he says, quickening his movements. "Fuck... I can feel you..."
You can't respond to him. The orgasm has you as a prisoner, you can do nothing but feel yourself coming on his erection with a muffled scream.
"Myung-gi" you repeat, feeling his fingers on your sex.
Myung-gi pulls out of you a moment after your waves of pleasure pass. His cock is covered in your fluids, and his fingers are as sticky as his thighs.
"I love you," he says, with a voice full of emotion, as if it were his last words. I will always love you.
"I love you too," you respond, feeling something inside you break with their words. I love you too.
He has just spoken them when he lies down beside you, wrapping his arms around you as if he thinks you might escape at any moment. His fingers caress your breasts slowly, with a softness as if he were incapable of touching you any other way. Your eyes slowly close, leaving you deeply asleep in his arms.
The next morning, you wake up alone. There is a note in its place, written in her hurried handwriting:
"Forgive me." Everything I do is for us. I love you."

rule no. 1

summary: you have a no-contact rule going with your ex, choi seungcheol, but fortunately unfortunately for you, he’s not really the type to follow them.
tags: ex! seungcheol x reader, seungcheol’s kind of toxic and doesn’t know how to let go, tit sucking (both cheol and reader), piv sex, protected sex, then unprotected sex (stay safe out there), pet names (daddy, good girl), cheol is written based off EXACTLY how he looks in these pictures | wc: 2.7k
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
8:11 PM
[choi seungcheol] hey
[you] what
[choi seungcheol] can we meet today?
[you] i don’t think that’s a good idea
[choi seungcheol] just to talk. nothing else. i swear.
[you] dude, what are you doing? you know we’re supposed to be going no contact. plus, it’s raining
[choi seungcheol] i’ll come to you
[choi seungcheol] and don't call me dude ever again or i'll seriously kill myself
[you] NO. do not come here. it’s late. let’s talk tomorrow okay?
11:17 PM
[choi seungcheol] i’m downstairs
[you] seungcheol..
[choi seungcheol] you want me to leave? i drove all this way though?
[you] fine.
[you] just talking.
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
his shock red hair. that’s the first thing you notice after opening the door, followed by just how good he looks with it. stop.
seungcheol walks straight in, fishing his car keys out of his pocket and dropping them in that little bowl on your shoe cabinet. then he looks at you. no, he checks you out, his eyes slowly sliding up your body to see what you’re wearing.
god, he has no self control. you knew he’d do that, which is why you’d worn your frumpiest PJs. a clear visual indication that nothing was going to happen tonight.
‘just talking’ you reiterate, drawing an imaginary line on the floor with your foot.
seungcheol laughs, extending his arm, signaling you to walk ahead and lead the way. the thing is, he wants to check your ass out. though you may think this is your frumpiest pair, there’s something in the material which makes it cling to your cheeks, making them look extra juicy.
seungcheol follows behind you, maintaining the “line” until you pause abruptly and he takes a step too close. just like that, he’s already crossed it, and then, he’s already kissing you, already taking off his glasses, already tossing his beanie aside, already grabbing your ass, already carrying you to the bedroom.
‘t-this is a bad idea’ you stutter, trying to find some of that self-control you keep asking him to show.
‘i know. so bad’ he breathes into the curve of your neck, sucking on the skin hungrily until it breaks. ex-seungcheol was obsessed with leaving marks of himself on you — hickeys, bites, hand prints.
he stumbles into the bedroom, leaving the lights off, and sets you down on the edge of the bed. no, you can't be doing this again.
‘seungcheol, i really don’t think-’
‘shh, don’t say anything, just kiss me. look at me' he grabs your chin, angling your face up ‘kiss me’ he says like it’s just that simple. seungcheol snakes his long tongue into your mouth, kissing you, his hands busy unbuttoning his jeans and pulling them down just enough to let his cock breathe. as you kiss, he lays you down on the bed, driving a knee in between your legs to spread them apart.
‘do you still like it when i do this?’ he asks, as if there’s any answer apart from fuck yes, and presses his knee to your core, grinding hard, sending pulses of pleasure straight through you. you answer with an involuntary moan, stifling it just in time so he doesn't hear.
you see, seungcheol doesn't need an answer from you. he can already guess from your erect nipples which are poking through the thin fabric of your t-shirt, asking to be sucked on. who's he to deny them that? so, he pushes your t-shirt up, above your tits, grabbing and pressing them together, and buries his face into the valley of your breasts.
‘fuck’ he inhales ‘missed this’
ex-seungcheol was all about missing you — missed your smell, missed this pussy, missed your pretty little mouth, missed you. you know seungcheol. you know once he latches onto your tits, he's not leaving till you both have finished. so, you make a last-ditch attempt.
‘you know that article i sent you?’ he cups a breast in each hand, rolling, teasing, and tugging your nipples in between his fingers.
‘it-’ god, that feels good ‘it says the best way for us to do this is to go no-contact. really’
‘yeah?' you nod, surprised he's even listening.
‘fuck that article’ and with that he takes you in his mouth, swirling his tongue around your areola before latching his soft lips onto your hard nipples. fine, just one last time then, you pacify yourself and let go. you sink into the feeling of your breasts being sucked on, while your fingers sink into his thick hair, tugging on tufts of red.
‘the red looks fucking hot, by the way’ your compliment sandwiched in between soft moans. seungcheol pulls off your breast, looking up at you, a sudden hunger in his eyes.
ex-seungcheol loves compliments. loves them. — compliment his face, his hair, his built, and definitely compliment his cock. he needs to be desired by his exes.
he leans back, ripping his overshirt and t-shirt off, his hair falling wildly over his face. seungcheol runs both his hands through his locks, slicking his hair back. ‘take your clothes off’ he’s got a little gruff in his voice ‘now’
you undress hastily, and it’s not until you see a cocky grin spread across his face, you realise what he’s noticed.
‘just talking, huh?’
you’re wearing those panties — the ‘pull aside pair’ as he called it. seungcheol loved these on you, it was his favourite because firstly, they just about covered your cunt and secondly, they would ride right up your ass giving him the best view. you and him both knew that if you’re going to wear these panties, he’s going to fuck you with them on.
of course you’d prepped incase he did come over, which had happened one too many times before, but the optics of this really don’t help your no-contact agenda.
‘let’s talk then’ he pulls his jeans and boxers off, his cock springing out. yummy.
‘why don’t we talk about how you’re wearing these, hhmn?’ he cocks an eyebrow, snapping the band of your underwear hard ‘you know what happens when you wear these’ you can’t count the number of times he’s cum on your ass while you were in them.
he pulls your panties to the side, and there, another surprise. ‘oh, fuck me’ he groans needily. not only have you shaved down there, but you’ve trimmed your hair just the way he likes it.
‘fucking hell’ seungcheol curses again, licking and sticking a finger inside you, feeling your wet warmth pull his finger right in. ‘or no, let’s talk about how i can already fit one. no, two. oh? three?’ yes, three.
‘three of my fingers inside your pussy so easily’ he slides them in, all three coming out with a glossy sheen. and then, in a sickeningly sensual move, his runs his flat tongue over all three, licking them clean.
‘you taste like you need a dick inside you’ seungcheol grabs his, slapping it hard against his cupped palm. it’s like every thought in your mind turns into mush at the sound, and suddenly you’re just a hole. an empty hole.
‘cheollie’ you shouldn’t be calling him that ‘please put your big fat dick inside me. i need you so bad, cheollie’ you know exactly what to say to seungcheol to make him tick. ex or not.
he groans, pulling down a pillow and placing it under your lap to lift your hips. then he positions himself, lining himself up to your entrance.
‘wait’ you pause, much to his dicks disappointment, to grab a condom from the bedside table, your body twisting on its side. fuck, that ass looks good, seungcheol thinks, giving it a tight slap. ‘mmm’ you bite your lip, looking back at him.
‘again, daddy’ he slaps it even harder, the force of his palm making ripples on your skin. he looks at you now, so full of lust, and he can’t remember why he ever let you go. stupid fucking decision.
‘be a good girl and put it on for me’ it was one those odd things that really turned him on. he watches now as you rip the condom wrapper with your teeth, slowly rolling down its slippery edges onto his fat dick.
‘now come to daddy’ you lay back down as he grabs your legs and slides you towards him, a little squeal spilling out of you.
‘tell me what you want’
‘i want your fat dick inside my tight wet pussy’
‘that’s my girl’ he hooks two fingers under the ribbed fabric of your panties and pulls them aside, sliding his tip up and down your slick folds a few times before pushing just his fat mushroom head in. ‘fuck’ you both curse at the same time, and in the same breath as he penetrates you little by little until he’s all the way in.
‘shit, missed this pussy so much’ and you don’t say it out loud, but as he starts thrusting you’re reminded of just how much you missed his cock. no amount of vibrators and dildos could do for you what seungcheol is doing right now. it’s like he’s been able to scratch an itch deep, deep inside you. literally.
seungcheol repositions himself, leaning a little lower, angling his strokes a little higher, his cock teasing the roof of your pussy. once he’s satisfied with how he’s buried inside you, he slides his big hands up your arms before gripping your wrists tightly, shackling them in his palms, and slams down, pinning you onto the bed and fucking you.
‘oh fuck, yes’ you moan, in that nasal little way you do, which he finds stupidly hot.
‘that’s what daddy likes to hear’ he grins, his tongue touching his canines.
speaking of stupidly hot, you can’t help but notice how good he looks on top of you. has he gotten bigger? looks like it. his chest seems to have doubled, looking bigger, firmer, and frankly, more suckable. has he gotten hotter? definitely. maybe it's an ex thing or maybe it’s the red hair. god bless his hairdresser.
you’re a little dazed honestly, by his buff(er) built, especially the silver cross necklace that’s hanging off his thick neck, swinging above your face with every thrust.
‘like what you see?' he raises his eyebrow, catching you staring, and in response you bite on the dangling silver and pull him down towards you. you take his tongue into your mouth, swapping spit like a couple of teenagers.
now closer to you, you get a whiff of the faint smell of alcohol and cigarettes coming off him. you wonder where he was before this, and who got to see him looking this fine. there’s a hot sting of jealousy that cools when his chain skims across your breast, the cold metal making your nipples hard in an instant. seungcheol gets distracted by your tits once again, pushing them together and holding on as he fucks you.
‘love your tits’
‘love yours’ oh, they’ve definitely gotten bigger, you think, cupping one in your hand and circling your thumb over his nipple.
‘fuck yes, suck on it’ he bends, and you take him in your mouth, sucking on his tits, flicking his hard nub with your wet tongue.
‘yes, that’s it, good girl’ he grabs a fistful of your hair, pushing your face into his chest. seungcheol loved getting his nipples stimulated, and you feel the pleasure you're giving him pound straight back into you.
‘fucking love your pussy’
‘mmm, love your fat cock in my pussy’
‘love-’ the words are at the tip of his tongue, but before he says the stupid thing he’s not supposed to say, you kiss him, clenching your cunt so tightly and abruptly that it knocks the strength out his arms for a split second.
‘fuck, that feels amazing’ he groans ‘love your pussy so much. it’s made just for me’
‘just mine to fuck, only mine’ his possessiveness — one of the reasons it didn’t work, but so sexy in this moment.
‘yeah?’ you know what he’s really asking. he wants to know if you’ve fucked anyone else in your weeks apart, if there’s a legitimate reason for that condom separating the both of you or if its a formality. he needs to know.
ex-seungcheol is greedy — he reminded you of a bratty child at times. it was not his toy anymore but he refused to let anyone else play with it. mine!
‘only yours’ you say, and take it a step further, whispering into his ear ‘i’m only yours so take the condom off and fuck me raw’
the no-contact rule dies a violent death as he pulls out, yanking off the condom and sliding his fat, veiny, throbbing cock back inside you in what seems like less than a second.
‘fuck’ the sensation of your raw slippery cunt in contrast with how tight you’re clenching around his dick makes him curse. you wrap your legs around his waist, digging the heels of your foot into his back to push him deeper inside you.
‘y-yes, i can feel you so deep’ you breathe, two of your fingers sliding down to rub your swollen clit in sloppy circles.
‘god i love it when you play with your pussy with my dick deep inside you’ he’s fucking you so forcefully now that the slap of his skin against yours is all that can be heard.
your arch your back, closing your eyes and focusing hard on all the ways you’re being stimulated — your fingertips on your clit, the tip of his penis pressing against your walls, and his heavy balls slapping against your asshole — all the sensations twisting into a knot in your stomach.
‘you’re there, right there. do it’ he guides you ‘be a good girl and cum for me now’ his words are all you need as the knot tightens and then unravels, the orgasm taking over you from your head to your toes. it’s an addictive high, one that you’ve desperately missed, and it leaves you shaking and stuttering under him.
‘yes, there you go, there it is. fuck’ he pulls out his cock halfway, reeling at the sight of your creamy white cum coating it ‘look at that. oh you’re such a good girl for creaming all over daddy’s dick’
you breathe a satisfied breath, feeling your cunt continue to clench involuntarily at his praise, his pace suddenly picking up.
‘squeeze around my dick just like that’ he grabs both your legs, holding them together by the ankle and turns your body so you’re laying on your side, your legs folded at your knees. your pussy is so tight in this position, and your ass looks extra fat. ‘fucking hot’ he praises, moaning as you squeeze so tight around him, over and over. he knows he’s about to blow.
‘cum on my ass, daddy’ it’s tradition at this point. seungcheol pulls out, perfectly positioning himself over your ass and frantically jerks off, the squelch of his strokes filling the room. he grabs a handful in his other hand, squeezing hard. ouch. that’s going to leave a mark.
‘cum for me’ you sing seductively, his breath catching in his throat. ‘cover me in your cum, daddy. i’m all yours to cum on. i’m only yours’ you remind, and that pushes him right over the edge as he cums with a loud long grunt, shooting his thick, warm, milky load all over your cheeks. and god, there’s so so much of it.
‘holy shit. how long have you been storing that?’ you scoop some up with your fingers, giving it a taste ‘mmm, yum’
honestly, seungcheol’s a little surprised by his load too, shaking his head and laughing softly as you review his cum. ‘wait, let me just get the, where is that thing?’
he picks up his crumpled overshirt, a balenciaga shirt mind you, off the floor and cleans the cum off you, then wipes his own dick down.
‘i can’t believe you still do that’
‘do what?’
‘use your expensive ass clothes to wipe cum like they’re disposable tissues or something’
he shrugs ‘they may as well be for me’
you roll your eyes at that, starting to remember reasons as to why he’s your ex again.
‘oh, by the way’ seungcheol rolls up the cum rag shirt before chucking it back onto the floor.
‘were you seriously trying to bring up an article on how to break up while i was sucking on your tits?’
you chuckle cutely ‘yeah, i was actually. but fuck that article, right?’
‘yeah’ he nods, pouting in agreement ‘fuck that article’ he breaks into a huge smile, looking at you fondly as you both crack up, and finds himself asking the question he always does after one these nights — why did you both break up again?

https://x.com/venusyearwood/status/1854732444768858540?s=46&t=NrxIrEbb07Ubj-rzdh7oCg THIS WITH JAY — im thinking softdom!jay, lots and lots of flirting and being handsy and making out, reader is on jay’s lap he’s buried in her neck leaving marks and she’s starting to unbutton his shirt and unconsciously grinding her hips, he can’t take it anymore and drags her home and breeds her all night
oh you’re speaking my language…I pictured a cocktail bar for this
***
It’s not that anyone is really paying attention to either of you in this place anyway. Jay’s got a hold on your thigh while the rest of your friends chatter amongst themselves with enough alcohol in their systems to forget their surroundings and anything but the conversation at hand.
It’s the first time in a long time that he’s got you like this—away from the stress of life and the hustle of working hours. He knows far too well what it means to be preoccupied with things that don’t matter and seeing you in a little black dress and those high heels you love wearing so much makes him hold onto you that much tighter.
He’s got his thumb rubbing against the skin of your thigh the entire night but it does nothing to quell the building arousal you feel as you pulsate beside him. You don’t even know if Jay is doing it on purpose but it garners a reaction out of you, and you find that you’re barely able to hold onto the cocktail glass as you listen to your friends talk and chime in every once in a while. Jay’s touch is enough to get you to a sensation that feels an awful lot like being drunk even if you aren’t.
“Having fun?” Jay whispers in your ear. You love when he leans his head down to whisper in your ear. It makes you feel like you’re the only person he sees.
“Yeah. I really missed going to places like these.”
“You look beautiful too, baby.” Jay squeezes your thigh and hums. “That dress…you look phenomenal.”
The heat from his compliment and alcohol makes your cheeks flush. You stutter when you respond to him. “Thank you.” He laughs under his breath and squeezes your thigh, hand lodged between them as if to keep you sitting right next to him. Not that you’d want to be anywhere else anyway. You squeeze him with your thigh subconsciously when his warm breath ghosts the shell of your ear.
Jay seems to like that. He squeezes you back. “Are you doing okay, baby?”
You nod. “Mhm. Just fine.”
“Really? You seem a little tense.”
“N-No. Not tense. I’m fine.”
He squeezes your thigh again. “Needy little thing.” Jay pushes his hand up your legs until you spread them far enough to seem inconspicuous. The tips of his fingers touch you where you need him the most and he bites back a moan when he feels just how wet you are. “Knew it.”
“Jay! Our friends are right in front of us.”
He doesn’t stop sliding his fingers against your covered folds. “And? They’re too busy paying attention to each other.” You clamp your legs shut and Jay nods, scouring the room until he finds a secluded, dark area with a partition that separates from the main room.
Jay stands up and holds his hand out for you. His muscular arm is concealed by the button down he wears and yet his muscles almost stretch the fabric until it’s taught. Your own arms cling onto his as you follow him through the maze of people and when you look back to your friends, they haven’t noticed you two have gone missing.
The partition hides away a single drink tray on top of a metal table opposite of a wooden bench. It’s secluded enough for your satisfaction and Jay turns around once the two of you are out of sight and cups your jaw with his hands when he kisses you like you’re a delicate glass he doesn’t want to break. His lips are so soft and plump and the way he’s rubbing your cheeks with his thumb makes you feel something akin to being on cloud nine. It doesn’t help that he looks like the pinnacle of sex once he pulls away, eyes looking down at you through his long lashes as he paces himself.
He sits down on the bench and beckons you over his lap. You don’t particular care that your dress has ridden up your body and pools midway up your ass. His large hands come to grip you from behind as you make yourself comfortable on him.
“Pretty baby,” he whispers in your ear as he peppers kisses down the column of your neck. The sensation makes your toes curl and you clutch at his chest for support. “I missed you this week. Felt like an eternity.”
“I-I missed you too.” You breathe it out much like a quiet moan. “Missed your lips.”
“Yeah?” Jay licks up your juncture before sucking on your jawline where it meets your earlobe. “What else did you miss?”
Your hands spread all across his chest and the hard muscle underneath makes you much wetter than you already are. The gentle touch of your fingers against his buttons makes him look up at you from where he is on your neck. He’s already got a few buttons undone but you’re craving to see more of him and unbutton another.
“Missed your body…”
Jay spreads his legs wider when he starts to feel your hips rolling against his slacks. You move so slowly that he doesn’t think you register what you’re doing, but the way your fingers spread open his button down makes him think you want more than he’s offering right now.
“Oh yeah? What part of my body.”
“Mouth, fingers, cock…”
You don’t look at him when you say it. You stare at his semi-exposed chest and continue to grind up against him. He’s so hard in his pants that he involuntarily pushes his hips up against you.
“I can tell.” Jay brings his hand to brush your bottom lip with his thumb and cradles your cheek when you finally look at him. “You’re so cute when you get needy.”
You push your covered lap down on his. “I can’t help it. You look so good tonight and I’m having a hard time keeping my hands to myself.”
“You’re one to talk, baby.”
In an abrupt motion, Jay hoists you off of his body and pulls the hem of your dress down to appear decent and does his best to adjust his aching dick to look presentable. You whine beside him but Jay merely grips your ass as he silences to with a kiss.
“Be good for me, yeah?”
“But I need you.”
“I need you too, baby. Let me take you home. I’ll come inside you as many times as you want.”

Baby subby gyu who pretends to not be horny but you can clearly see it and tease him about it

Being a brat|| Kim Mingyu x reader
Note: last one for tonight gangggg
Mingyu sits on the couch, arms crossed and pouting adorably. You can tell he's trying to act nonchalant, but his eyes keep drifting to your body as you move around the room.
"Is there something wrong, Mingyu?" you ask sweetly, bending over to pick up a dropped item. "You seem a bit...tense." He shifts uncomfortably on the couch, his gaze lingering on your exposed skin. "No, I'm fine," he mutters, though his voice comes out a bit strained.
You smirk, walking over to him and straddling his lap. "Are you sure about that?" you whisper, pressing your body against his. "Because it seems like you're hiding something." Mingyu tries to maintain his pout, but his body betrays him as you feel his growing erection pressing against you. He lets out a soft groan, his hands instinctively gripping your hips.
"I told you I'm not horny," Mingyu protests weakly, but his hips thrust up against you, seeking friction. "It's just... the jeans are tight." You grind down against him, enjoying the way his breath hitches in his throat. "Is that so?" you tease, running your fingers through his hair. "Then why is your cock so hard for me right now?" Mingyu's pout turns into a needy whine as you continue to move against him. His resolve crumbles as he looks up at you with desperate eyes. "Please," he begs. "Don't tease me like this."
"But you look so cute when you're all pouty and desperate," you say, pulling away just enough to deny him the friction he needs. "And you're being such a bad boy, trying to hide how much you want me." Mingyu's hands grip your thighs tightly, his knuckles turning white. "I'm sorry," he whimpers, his eyes pleading with you. "I just... I can't help it. You're so sexy and you're wearing those clothes on purpose."
You smile wickedly, standing up and stepping back from the couch. "Maybe I should take them off then," you suggest, slowly unbuttoning your shirt. "If it's making you so uncomfortable." Mingyu's eyes widen as you undress, his gaze devouring every inch of exposed skin. He shifts on the couch, visibly struggling to control himself as he watches you.
"Don't stop," he pleads, his voice hoarse with desire. "Please, baby. Let me see you." You continue undressing, making a show of it as you slide your shirt off and unhook your bra. "Like what you see?" you ask coyly, standing in front of him completely naked.
Mingyu's cock strains against his jeans as he drinks in the sight of you. He nods eagerly, his tongue darting out to wet his lips. "Fuck, you're perfect," he groans, reaching out to touch you. You step closer, letting him pull you onto his lap again. His hands roam over your body, squeezing and caressing your curves as he kisses your neck hungrily.
"I'm sorry for being a brat," he whispers between kisses. "I just wanted to be in control, but I can't resist you." You grind down against him again, feeling his cock twitch in response. "You're not in control anymore," you tell him, nipping at his earlobe. "I'm going to make you beg for it."
Mingyu moans and bucks up against you, his fingers digging into your hips as he tries to get more friction. "Please, baby," he whimpers, his voice trembling with need. "I need you so badly." You reach down and palm his erection through his jeans, feeling how hard and hot he is for you. "Is this what you want?" you ask, squeezing him gently. "To be at my mercy?"
Mingyu nods frantically, his hips bucking up into your hand. "Yes, yes please," he pants, his face flushed with arousal. "I'll do anything you want. Just don't stop touching me." You unzip his jeans and free his aching cock, wrapping your hand around it and stroking him slowly. "Anything, huh?" you say, leaning in to whisper in his ear. "Even beg me to let you come?"
Mingyu's moans grow louder as you continue to stroke him, his eyes rolling back in pleasure. "Please," he begs, his voice cracking with desperation. "I need to come so badly. I'll be your good boy, I promise." You smirk at his submission, increasing the pace of your strokes. "That's more like it," you say, watching him fall apart in your hands. "Now, show me how much you want it."
"Please, baby," Mingyu whimpers, his cock throbbing in your hand. "I want to feel you riding me. I want to watch you use me to get off." You position yourself over him, guiding his cock to your entrance. "You want to see me bounce on your cock?" you ask, rubbing the tip against your wetness teasingly.
Mingyu's hands grip your thighs tightly as he nods, his eyes fixed on where your bodies are about to connect. "Yes, please," he breathes out, his voice thick with need. "I need to feel your tight pussy around me." You sink down onto him slowly, inch by inch, until he's fully inside you. He groans loudly, his head falling back against the couch as he relishes the feeling.
"Fuck, you're so deep," you moan, starting to move up and down on his cock. "You fill me up so well, Gyu." Mingyu is lost in pleasure, unable to form coherent sentences as you ride him. His hands grip your hips hard enough to bruise, his eyes glazed over with lust as he watches your body move on top of him. All he can manage are broken moans and whimpers, his chest heaving with each breath. He bucks up into you desperately, chasing his release as you bounce on his cock.
"Are you going to come for me, baby?" you ask, grinding down against him in just the right way. "Are you going to fill me up with your cum?" Mingyu's face contorts in pleasure as he starts to thrust up into you harder, meeting each bounce of your hips with a powerful thrust. His teeth sink into his lower lip as he tries to hold back his orgasm.
"I'm so close," he manages to say through gritted teeth, his hands moving to your ass to help you ride him faster. "So close, baby. You feel so good." His cock twitches inside you, and you can feel his balls tightening as he gets closer and closer to the edge. You lean down to kiss and suck on his neck, leaving marks as you ride him. The combination of your lips on his sensitive skin and the tight heat of your pussy sends him hurtling towards his orgasm.
"Fuck, Y-N, I'm gonna-" he chokes out, his body tensing up as he tries to hold on just a little longer. "Come with me, please." Mingyu's whine turns into a high-pitched moan as he finally loses control, his cock pulsing inside you as he fills you with hot cum. His body shakes with the force of his orgasm, and he clings to you tightly as he rides it out.
"Y-N," he gasps, his chest heaving as he tries to catch his breath. "That was... fuck." You slow your movements, milking every drop of cum from him before collapsing against his chest. Mingyu wraps his arms around you, holding you close as he comes down from his high. His cock softens inside you, but he doesn't want to pull out just yet, enjoying the feeling of being connected to you.
"You're amazing," he whispers, nuzzling into your neck. "I can't believe how good that felt."

.... Consensual somnophilia w/ luci? 🥺👉👈

As you wish, my lovely anon and non-anon!
_____
IMAGINE
(longer imagine)

A thing Lucifer has always been into, with and without your knowledge is Somnophilia. The idea that he could use you whilst you lay asleep beneath him.
At first Lucifer was not exactly proud of this fact though, so for the first years of your relationship he said nothing about it. His daddy kink? Yeah he'll tell you about that. But for some reason this specific kink was just.. so embarrassing to him.
Until one day when you were the one to admit you like the idea of being fucked in your sleep, and you didn't miss the sparkling in Lucifers red irises. In a moment he was laughing about how stupid he was for thinking you would be weirded out by this kink- especially when you've been together for 3 years at this point.
So you both made a system. Whenever you went to sleep with his favorite shirt of yours, an oversized pink shirt with a duck in the middle, he was allowed to use you.
And today is the first day you've worn it. Lucifer was just washing up after your dinner and came back to your figure half beneath the covers wearing that pink duck shirt. Rather immediately that feeling of arousal came over him like a sound wave. One moment he was fine, the other moment his cock is hardening from arousal.
Slowly he crawls onto the red sheets, eyeing your thigh as it pokes from the covers above you. He has to be careful about this, because if it's up to him he doesn't want you to awaken until his cock is nestled inside of you.
He pulls the sheets from you carefully, thanking the gods that you are laying on your back so the act will be easier. Fuck he can't even begin to take his eyes from you. You aren't wearing any pants! Pussy nice and ready for him as if you had fingered yourself just before you fell asleep, which he assumes you did judging from the wetness on the sheets beneath you.
His duckling even readied herself for him! He could almost imagine you fingering yourself open for him, scissoring your fingers inside of yourself as your wetness coats your fingers, biting your lip as you try your hardest to keep your moans quiet so you don't spoil the surprise. Oh, how he doesn't deserve this from you. He doesn't deserve to have you laying here fast asleep ready for his cock. But he'll take what he's being given from you because he needs it more than he likes to admit.
"My precious duckling, awe.. how cute," He says to your sleeping figure, dragging his hand through his hair as he looks down at the obvious erection in his trousers. Grinning to himself he unbuttons his trousers and lowers the fly down, before pulling them off completely and discarding them across the room (happening to land on a pile of his rubber ducks).
Then he removes his shirt, unbuttoning it and slowly letting it fall off himself to the floor next to the bed.
All that is left is the blue boxers with the rubber duck pattern across it, obvious erection poking into the fabric. It almost hurts, the hardness of his cock poking so harshly into the right fabric of his boxers.
He dips his hand into the fabric and wraps his hand around his shaft, pulling it from his boxers with a satisfying 'plap' against his abdomen. He should really take his boxers off too, and he knows this. But he can't stop himself anymore. You're in your most pliant state, so in a rash and quick movement he places one hand next to your head to hold himself up whilst the other positions his shaft into you.
In a slow push he sinks his shaft into you, watching your soft sleeping face as it reacts to the pressure of him inside of you. He places a soft hand at your hip, massaging the skin hypnotically as he continues to push his hips forward until his entire length is buried to the hilt inside of your tight hole.
He can't conceal that heavy groan that leaves him, his eyes completely set onto your face. That pretty fucking face of yours as he ruins it.
He serves you a harsh thrust, immediately setting a ravenous and hungry pace with his hips. He can't help it, watching your face as it awakens with a gasp, lashes fluttering as you familiarize yourself with your surroundings and the situation you're in.
"Gh, daddy.." you whimper, eyes soft and teary as you look up to his own. He smiles softly, yet doesn't break his thrusts as he purrs into your ear: "Shh shh, my duckling. Go back to sleep, daddy will be done soon he pwomises," he finishes his sentence with a teasing cute tone, giving you a short grind before going straight back to those hard and almost painful thrusts.
He watches as you nod softly, closing your eyes and letting yourself relax under his hand. Each thrust sends you into a sort of trance, especially when being awoken to daddy's cock fucking into you at such a pace.
"Fuck, my good little duckling. Hm? Yeah, so good letting daddy use you like this," he says, sharp teethed smile glinting with his dominant demeanor. You only reply with a small tired whimper, slightly strangled under the pleasure he gives you.
The hand he has on your hip quickly moves to your thigh, pushing it down so it's pressed against yourself in such a way to give him more leverage with his thrusts. He watches your brows furrow tiredly, a gasp for air coming from your cute plush lips. The pleasure is too much for you, and you are beginning to feel that knot inside you coil so hard it begs to release.
"cum.. please, daddy.. m' need to cum," you beg at his mercy, not opening your eyes and whispering it so quietly Lucifer is happy he heard you at all beneath the sounds of his skin against your own.
"Cum for me, cum on Daddy's cock duckling. Do it," he says, thrusting slightly quicker as you let out a strangled whine. You release strongly, pussy clenching around him so hard his own orgasm begs to release itself.
"Fuck, so good and sleepy for me, hm? Daddy's gonna cum now, okay? Yeah," He says, hardly even thinking about his words as his eyes flutter closed with pleasure, giving you one last thrust before he cums, grinding himself into you as he empties into you.
"good, duckling.. shit.."
But you'd already fallen back asleep. He wonders if he can go again.

"Back pain" - Joel Miller x Fem Reader
Fluff/Smut - MDNI, this is only intended for readers 18 & older
Word Count: 810
Joel's back was killing him, and he couldn't fall asleep, but thankfully, Y/n was there to help him alleviate the pain.
For about the hundredth time that night, Joel tossed and turned, trying desperately to find a sleeping position to alleviate the pain in his back. He knew he was getting older, but he didn’t think it would hurt as much as it did. Granted, sleeping on the ground wasn’t exactly ideal.
“Joel, are you okay?” Y/n asked, her voice still groggy from sleep.
“Yeah, I’m fine. I didn’t mean to wake you,” he responded, giving up and lying on his back, his eyes fixated on the ceiling.
“Don’t worry about it, my love. You’re a terrible liar, though. I’ve been feeling you move around all night,” she replied, rolling over on her side and staring at him.
Her hand gently held onto his, her thumb rubbing circles on the top of it delicately.
“You got me there; my back is just killing me. I feel like I’m falling apart,” Joel said, his voice sounding more like a whisper at the end.
“You should’ve told me sooner, let me see if I could help you,” she responded, kicking the blanket off her body, and motioning for Joel to sit up.
Doing exactly what she said, he angled his back so it faced her. He was wearing a couple of layers of jackets and shirts, so she helped him take them off, carefully folding them all in a neat pile beside their makeshift bed. Sitting there for a split second, her eyes traced all the scars that he had acquired, her heart hurting just looking at them. Not because they didn’t look good, but because the man had gone through so much trauma in a relatively short period.
“If something hurts, just tell me to stop, okay?” Y/n told him, and when he nodded in confirmation, her hands immediately fell on his shoulders, gently massaging the tense area.
Joel loved the feeling of Y/n’s hands normally, but right now, he loved it even more. Her fingertips began to trail down the skin of his bare back, the woman’s nails tickling his skin, making his whole body erupt in a tingling sensation. Without even having to do anything less surface-level, Y/n already felt some stress dissipating from his body.
“I’m sorry if this isn’t working, I don’t know any proper massage techniques,” the woman quietly laughed, though she was sure what she was doing wouldn’t hurt him.
“Don’t apologize, this feels so good, baby,” he responded, his head falling back in relief and eyes fluttering shut. “Keep doing what you’re doing.”
“Okay, I’m glad. I’ll do this as long as you need,” Y/n replied, kissing Joel on the crook of his neck while her fingers continued tracing imaginary lines on his back.
After letting her hands work for a couple more minutes, Joel turned to face Y/n, cupping the side of her face and initiating a gentle and warm kiss. It was slow, as if he wanted to give her enough time to memorize the feeling of his lips on hers.
He motioned for her to lie back down, and within a couple of seconds, he was on top of her, trailing kisses from her mouth down her neck and chest, stopping when he encountered the hem of her shirt. Joel had no trouble unbuttoning her top, revealing that Y/n wasn’t wearing anything underneath, which wasn’t surprising since he knew how uncomfortable sleeping with a bra on would be.
“You’re so beautiful,” he breathlessly spoke, one of his hands massaging her breast as his mouth connected with the side of her neck, leaving sloppy kisses on the tender skin.
In contrast to the light touches her fingers were giving Joel earlier, now they were digging into the man’s skin, gripping at anything as the pleasure became intense. It wasn’t long before she needed more from the man, and he immediately obliged, helping her slip off her pants before he removed his himself.
This wasn’t one of those times they had to rush; Joel’s pace was slow and sensual, ensuring every one of his movements was calculated to provide Y/n with every feeling she could ever want. Her soft moans echoed through the room, and Joel’s heart raced faster every time he heard the sweet sounds escaping the woman’s mouth.
It wasn’t long before the pair finished, and he pushed himself off the woman, lying down beside her with his arms wrapped tightly around her body. Taking one of her hands, she tucked a strand of hair away from his dewy skin, admiring his flushed face that made him look even more attractive.
“I hope you didn’t hurt your back more,” Y/n said, a small smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.
“Trust me, baby, it feels so much better,” he replied, raising his eyebrows at the woman before a laugh escaped his mouth, and she playfully buried her head in his chest.

Ruin me, Love me, Lose me| fratboy&playboy!harry
Summary: You hate Harry Styles. Or at least, you really, really want to. He’s the frat house king, the campus playboy, the smug asshole who always has a girl (or three) in his bed. You swear you’ll never be one of them.
And then one night, you kiss him.
And then another night, you sleep with him.
And then suddenly, you’re tangled in his sheets, in his arms, in his world, telling yourself it means nothing.
Until it does.
Wordt Count: 5k
A/N: Ah, yes. Another classic case of let’s make this as toxic as possible but pretend it’s fine because the tension is hot. This was supposed to be a slow burn, and then my brain said, “What if they suffered immediately instead?” Anyway, enjoy the angst, the mess, and the self-inflicted emotional damage. Love you, mean it. 💔 Based on this request!
Warnings:
Smut (18+ only)
Toxic relationships
Angst (like, a lot)
Jealousy & possessiveness
Alcohol use
Slight degradation & rough moments
Heartbreak (sorry in advance)
Some emotional whiplash
Questionable life choices
☆ ★ ✮ ★ ☆
The party is suffocating.
It reeks of stale beer, sweat, and something obnoxiously expensive, probably the cologne of some guy who thinks dousing himself in Tom Ford will make up for his complete lack of personality. Bodies are packed together like sardines, moving in drunken waves, grinding against each other to the bass-heavy music blasting from the speakers.
You feel completely out of place.
And honestly? You couldn’t give less of a fuck.
The only reason you’re here is because your best friend practically dragged you. Come on, she had pleaded, hands clasped together like she was making a sacred vow. You never go out, you never have fun, and I swear to God, if you don’t start acting like a college student at least once, I’m going to lose my mind.
So, against your better judgment, you let her shove you into a dress and apply a little makeup, hyping you up like this was going to be some life-changing experience. Spoiler alert: it’s not. It’s exactly what you expected: obnoxiously loud, unbearably sweaty, and full of people who are so wrapped up in their own egos that they wouldn’t notice if the house caught fire.
You’ve only been here for an hour, and you already want to leave.
You retreat to the kitchen, seeking some kind of escape. It’s quieter here, if only marginally. The countertops are littered with half-empty cups and sticky spills that no one will bother cleaning up. A couple is making out against the fridge like they’re in a fucking movie, completely unbothered by the fact that people are walking around them.
And then there’s him.
Harry Styles.
You don’t have to look directly at him to know he’s there, you feel his presence before you even see him. It’s like the air shifts when he walks into a room, demanding attention without even trying. He’s exactly the kind of guy you can’t stand: arrogant, entitled, and so used to getting his way that he probably doesn’t even remember the last time someone told him no.
Everyone here worships him.
It’s disgusting.
You finally glance up, and there he is, standing just a few feet away, leaning lazily against the counter like he owns the place. He’s wearing all black—ripped jeans, an unbuttoned shirt that shows off just enough tattoos to make girls swoon, and a smirk that tells you he knows exactly how good he looks.
His eyes flicker toward you, and in an instant, you know exactly what’s coming.
“Y’look like you hate it here, sweetheart.”
His voice is smooth, like whiskey on ice, laced with just enough amusement to let you know he finds this entertaining.
You exhale sharply, unimpressed. “That’s because I do.”
Instead of being deterred, his smirk deepens, like he finds your resistance amusing. He steps closer—not enough to be invasive, but enough to make it clear that he’s testing you, waiting to see how you’ll react.
“Then why are you here?” he asks, cocking his head slightly.
You don’t take the bait.
Instead, you roll your eyes, brushing past him with a dry, “Because some of us actually care about our friends.”
You expect that to be the end of it. Guys like Harry don’t waste time on girls who aren’t immediately fawning over them. He could have any girl in this house—hell, most of them would kill for the chance.
But he doesn’t let it go.
He follows.
And when you turn to glance back at him, you find his green eyes locked onto you like a predator stalking its prey.
It’s a look you’ve seen before—the kind that says he’s intrigued, that you’ve just become a challenge.
And you know, without a doubt, that Harry Styles never walks away from a challenge.
You should have seen it coming.
From that night on, it becomes a game to him—one you never agreed to play.
He makes it his personal mission to get under your skin, to test your patience at every opportunity. It’s not obvious at first, just small things that could almost be coincidental. A glance held for a second too long. A smirk thrown your way when you pass each other on campus. An overheard comment about some girl he hooked up with the night before, loud enough that he knows you’ll hear.
You don’t care.
(You do.)
But you refuse to give him the satisfaction.
The second run-in happens at another party, because of course it does.
This time, you arrive more prepared—mentally, at least. You’ve made peace with the fact that these events are unavoidable, that your best friend will always drag you to them, that the college social scene is a relentless cycle of alcohol-fueled chaos. You can survive a couple of hours. You’ll drink just enough to take the edge off, then find a way to slip out before midnight.
It’s a decent plan.
Until you see him.
He’s lounging on the frat house couch like it’s a fucking throne, an arm draped lazily over the backrest, legs spread wide in a way that’s both infuriating and devastatingly attractive. He’s surrounded by girls—of course he is—all of them leaning in, waiting for his attention, laughing too loudly at things he hasn’t even said.
You roll your eyes and turn away.
You don’t care.
(You do.)
You tell yourself you’re imagining it, but you can feel his eyes on you as you move through the party, can sense the smirk tugging at his lips. He doesn’t call you over, doesn’t make a scene—he doesn’t have to. The air shifts when he’s near, gravity bending in his favor.
And then, just when you think you’ve escaped unscathed—
“Y’keep lookin’ at me, sweetheart.”
The words send a sharp, unwelcome shiver down your spine.
You scoff before you even turn around, willing yourself to appear unaffected. “As if.”
His grin deepens, slow and lazy, like he enjoys watching you squirm.
You hate that it works.
You hate that the sharp cut of his jawline and the teasing glint in his eyes make your stomach twist in ways that aren’t entirely rooted in hatred.
You refuse to play his game.
You take a step back, ready to leave, but before you can—
His hand catches your wrist.
It’s not forceful, just firm enough to make you pause.
And then he leans in.
Close enough that you can feel the warmth of his breath against your skin, close enough that his voice drops into something dark and slow, something meant only for you.
“You sure about that?”
The scent of whiskey and expensive cologne wraps around you like a noose, tightening around your resolve.
You rip yourself away from him, but it’s too late.
Your body has already betrayed you.
And it will again.
Another night. Another party.
By now, you should have learned your lesson. But somehow, you always end up here—another crowded house, another room filled with drunken laughter and cheap beer, another encounter with him.
It’s inevitable.
You don’t even know how it starts this time. It’s not some grand moment, not some life-altering realization. It’s just him—pushing, teasing, testing. Like he always does.
You’re in the kitchen again, arms crossed, a drink in your hand that you’ve barely touched. You’ve been avoiding him for most of the night, keeping your distance, but it doesn’t matter. He finds you anyway.
He always does.
“Y’gonna keep ignoring me all night?”
You don’t even look up. “That was the plan.”
A low chuckle, the kind that makes your stomach clench. “M’not that easy to ignore, sweetheart.”
Unfortunately, he’s right.
You take a slow sip of your drink, willing yourself to remain unaffected. “Try me.”
And that’s all it takes. That single challenge.
His eyes spark with something dark and dangerous. His smirk sharpens. And then—
“You act like you hate me,” he murmurs, stepping in closer, “but we both know that’s not true.”
Your fingers tighten around your glass.
“It is.”
“Liar.”
You finally look up at him, glaring. “Go to hell, Harry.”
He grins, cocky and infuriating. “Take me there yourself.”
And then—
It happens.
Fast.
Too fast.
One second, you’re standing there, glaring at him. The next, his lips are on yours.
There’s no hesitation, no slow build-up, no moment to think. Just heat.
His hands are in your hair, fingers tangling, tugging. Your back meets the nearest wall, the cold surface a shocking contrast to the fire raging between you.
It’s rough. Desperate.
You should stop.
You should.
But his body is pressed against yours, and you can’t think, can’t breathe, can’t do anything except feel.
Your fingers find their way to the hem of his shirt, gripping it like a lifeline. His hands slide down, tracing over your hips, pulling you in like he can’t get close enough.
And maybe he can’t.
Maybe you can’t.
He pulls back just enough to look at you. His lips are swollen, pupils blown wide, chest rising and falling in ragged breaths.
“Tell me you don’t want me,” he says, voice low, wrecked. “And I’ll stop.”
Your lips part.
To say what?
To tell the truth?
But before you can, before you even know what you want to say—
Your hands fist in his shirt.
And you crash into him all over again.
You pull away first, gasping for breath, your chest rising and falling in sharp, uneven movements. Reality slams into you like a freight train, but Harry doesn’t move. He watches you, his pupils blown, lips parted, his breath warm as it ghosts over your face. His hands are still on you—one firm at your waist, the other curled loosely around the nape of your neck. Holding you in place.
Like he’s afraid you’ll run.
Like he knows you want to.
A smirk tugs at his mouth, something smug and knowing. “Told you,” he murmurs, his voice rough, dark, like he’s just swallowed gravel. “You don’t hate me.”
You should.
You should hate him. You should push him away, put an ocean of space between you before this turns into something irreversible. Something you can’t take back.
But your body betrays you before your mind can catch up.
Your fingers tighten in the fabric of his shirt instead of letting go. Your legs feel weak, but you’re not sure if it’s from the adrenaline or the way he’s looking at you. His green eyes flicker in the dim lighting, unreadable, but there’s something behind them—something waiting, something burning.
Something dangerous.
“This is a mistake,” you whisper, the words shaky, uncertain. You don’t even know if you believe them.
His thumb drags along your jaw, featherlight, and his lips barely, barely graze yours when he speaks. “Maybe.”
That single word is enough to send your stomach into freefall. Maybe. Maybe this is a mistake. Maybe this is the worst idea you’ve ever had. Maybe you’re going to regret this the second the sun comes up.
Or maybe you won’t.
Maybe you’ll regret it more if you stop now.
Maybe that’s what terrifies you the most.
Your body makes the decision for you.
His fingers slide down your wrist, tracing the delicate skin there before his hand finds yours, fingers lacing together like it’s the most natural thing in the world. Like they belong there.
And you let him take you.
The party behind you becomes a distant blur—flashes of neon lights, the thud of bass vibrating through the floor, drunken laughter echoing from downstairs. It all feels like it’s happening in another universe, detached from this moment. From him. From you.
Each step up the stairs feels heavier than the last, weighted with unspoken words, with history, with everything you’ve been pretending isn’t still there. The heat of his palm against yours sends sparks up your spine, and you squeeze your thighs together, ignoring the ache building in your stomach.
You don’t stop.
Not when you reach the landing.
Not when he leads you down the darkened hallway, past closed doors, past muffled voices, past all the chances you could have taken to turn back.
And not when he pushes open a door, guiding you inside.
Then—
The door clicks shut behind you.
The world disappears.
The second the lock turns, something inside you snaps.
There’s no hesitation this time. No second-guessing. No thinking. Just feeling.
Then he’s on you.
His mouth crashes into yours, rough and insistent, swallowing the gasp that slips from your lips. The kiss is nothing like the ones you’ve shared in the past—those were controlled, careful, measured. This? This is raw. Hungry. Starving.
His hands find your waist, gripping hard, pulling you flush against him. You can feel the way his chest heaves, the way his heartbeat slams against your own. Your fingers thread through his hair, tugging sharply, and he groans into your mouth, his grip tightening, like he’s trying to pull you even closer, like he wants to crawl inside you.
You barely have time to process before your back hits the wall.
You gasp at the contact, but he doesn’t let up. His lips trail down your jaw, hot and desperate, and when his teeth graze the sensitive spot beneath your ear, a sharp whimper escapes before you can stop it.
“Fuck,” he breathes, voice wrecked. “You have no idea what you do to me.”
His hands roam, sliding down your sides, gripping at your thighs, hitching them around his waist like he can’t stand the thought of any space between you.
You don’t think.
You move.
Your hands push his jacket off his shoulders, and he shrugs out of it without breaking contact. Your fingers fumble at the buttons of his shirt, but he beats you to it, ripping it open in one swift motion, buttons scattering to the floor.
Then his skin is against yours, and it sends a shockwave through your entire body.
Heat pools low in your stomach, a coil winding tighter and tighter with every brush of his hands, every press of his lips, every ragged breath against your skin.
Clothes disappear—hurried, impatient.
Your dress slips down your shoulders, pooling at your feet. His belt clinks as he unfastens it, the sound cutting through the heavy air like a gunshot.
You don’t stop him.
You don’t want to.
His hands grip your thighs again, lifting you effortlessly, and your legs tighten around him. You can feel him—hard, straining against the fabric still separating you.
There’s a pause, just for a second.
A breath.
His forehead presses against yours, his lips barely touching, his fingers digging into your skin like he’s trying to ground himself. His voice is hoarse, barely above a whisper.
“Tell me to stop.”
You don’t.
Instead, you kiss him again.
And there’s no turning back now.
His body presses against yours, firm and unrelenting, as he walks you backward until the backs of your knees hit the edge of the mattress. He doesn’t let go. His hands are still gripping your thighs, still holding you against him like he’s afraid you’ll slip away.
Then he lowers you onto the bed.
The world tilts, and the air thickens as he leans over you, his weight bracing against his arms, caging you beneath him. His eyes flicker across your face—like he’s memorizing every inch, every breath, every little way you react to him. His fingers trace up your side, slow and teasing, and the way you shudder makes his lips twitch.
“Still think this is a mistake?” he taunts, voice low and rough as his lips brush against your collarbone.
Your breath hitches, but you don’t answer. You don’t have to. The way your fingers clutch at his back, the way your hips shift beneath him, the way your body is already arching into his touch—it’s all the answer he needs.
He smirks against your skin. “That’s what I thought.”
Then he stops talking.
Because there’s nothing left to say.
It’s messy. Desperate. The kind of passion that comes from months of unresolved tension, from too much history, from too many things left unsaid.
He kisses you like he’s trying to claim you. Like he’s trying to burn himself into your skin. Like if he kisses you hard enough, you’ll never be able to forget this—forget him.
His hands are everywhere. Exploring. Learning. Worshipping.
Every brush of his lips, every drag of his fingers, every slow roll of his hips is deliberate, pulling you apart piece by piece. He takes his time, but not too much time—because patience is a luxury neither of you have tonight.
You feel like you’re unraveling beneath him.
He notices.
He thrives on it.
His mouth moves lower, teeth grazing, tongue soothing. His fingers leave fire in their wake as they trail down your body, mapping out every inch, every soft curve, every sharp gasp he pulls from your lips.
It’s intoxicating, the way he touches you—like he already knows what you need before you do.
He whispers your name against your skin, and it sends a shiver down your spine.
Your hands are greedy, desperate as they roam over him—his shoulders, his chest, the firm muscles in his back. You want to touch all of him. Feel all of him.
And he lets you.
He lets you pull him closer, lets you tangle your legs around his, lets you drag your nails down his spine, leaving behind faint, red lines that he’ll wear like battle scars tomorrow.
The room is filled with nothing but heavy breathing, quiet moans, the rustle of sheets, the sound of skin against skin.
And when it finally happens—when he finally, finally gives you what you both need—it steals the breath from your lungs.
It’s not slow. It’s not soft. It’s not sweet.
It’s raw.
It’s rough, desperate, punishing. It’s weeks of tension snapping all at once, a storm breaking, waves crashing, a fire finally given the air it needs to burn.
His name falls from your lips like a prayer, like a curse, like something you were never supposed to say out loud.
He groans, his forehead pressing against yours, his breath ragged. His fingers lace with yours, pinning your hands above your head. His body moves against yours in perfect rhythm—pushing, pulling, giving, taking.
It’s the kind of night that changes things.
The kind you won’t be able to take back.
The kind that leaves its mark.
And then—
Stillness.
Silence.
Just the sound of your breathing, heavy and uneven, filling the space between you.
His body is still pressed against yours, warm and solid and grounding. The weight of what just happened settles in, thick and undeniable.
You should get up.
You should leave.
But you don’t.
Instead, you stay.
Just for a little longer.
But "a little longer" turns into something else entirely.
Because it doesn’t stop at one night.
It should have. You tell yourself that over and over again. That night—the way his hands fit so perfectly against your skin, the way he pulled you apart and put you back together, the way his mouth made you forget your own name—it should have been enough. A single mistake. A one-time thing.
But it isn’t.
It’s never just once.
It happens again. And again. And again.
It’s always late. Always secret.
Always a text, a glance across the room, a lingering touch when no one is watching. Always a whispered come here against the shell of your ear, a door clicking shut behind you, a tangle of limbs in the dark.
It’s never soft. Never sweet.
It’s fast, desperate, all-consuming.
It’s hands fisting sheets, breathless moans swallowed into pillows. His body pressed against yours, heavy and unrelenting, holding you down, keeping you exactly where he wants you.
And he knows what he’s doing to you.
He’s filthy, cocky, teasing—he draws it out just to make you beg.
“Knew you’d be so fuckin’ sweet for me, baby,” he murmurs against your skin, voice rough, wicked, smug.
His rings feel cold against your burning skin as his fingers trail down your stomach, between your thighs, spreading you open like a secret. Like something meant only for him.
You bite your lip, refusing to give him the satisfaction of a sound.
He chuckles, dark and knowing.
“This what you hate me for? Hm?” His lips brush against your jaw, down your throat, his breath hot and taunting. “’Cause I make you come harder than anyone else ever could?”
You hate him.
(You don’t.)
You hate that he’s right. That he knows he’s right. That he’s so good at this—at ruining you, at making you fall apart over and over again until you can’t think straight, until all you know is him. His name. His touch. His body moving against yours.
And every time, you tell yourself it’s the last.
That this is it. That you’re done.
That this means nothing.
And every time, you end up back in his bed.
But then you see him with someone else.
It’s late, the party is loud, and the music thrums through your body, drowning out everything else. You’re just stepping out for air when you spot him across the street. A girl is clinging to his arm, laughing at something he’s said, and his hand is low on her back as he leads her toward a car.
He doesn’t even look at you.
Doesn’t hesitate. Doesn’t falter. Doesn’t even pretend to care that you’re standing right there, watching him disappear into the night with someone else.
And it shouldn’t hurt.
Because you knew he wasn’t yours. You never asked him to be. Never wanted him to be.
Right?
So why does it feel like the ground just cracked open beneath you? Why does it feel like something inside you just snapped?
You go back inside, down a drink, let someone else pull you onto the dance floor. You lose yourself in the crowd, in the music, in the way someone’s hands settle on your waist—too light, too unfamiliar.
It doesn’t work.
Because when he finds you later, when he corners you in a dark hallway, there’s still fire burning in your chest, in your throat, in the way your hands clench at your sides.
He smirks, like nothing happened. Like he didn’t just walk out of here with someone else a few hours ago. Like he knew you’d still be here.
“What’s wrong, sweetheart?” His voice is low, amused. “Jealous?”
The word makes you snap.
“You’re disgusting.”
His smirk widens, but there’s something behind his eyes now—something sharper, more dangerous.
“Funny,” he murmurs, stepping closer, eyes dark, predatory. “Wasn’t what y’said last night.”
He reaches for you, fingers curling around your wrist, but you yank yourself away like he burns.
“We’re done.” Your voice is ice, your eyes colder.
And his smirk falters.
Just for a second.
Just long enough for you to see something else flicker across his face—confusion, disbelief, something dangerously close to panic.
Then it’s gone.
And he laughs. Soft. Low. Infuriating.
“That’s cute,” he drawls, tilting his head. “Think y’can just walk away from me.”
You meet his gaze head-on, jaw clenched, shoulders squared.
“Watch me.”
Then you turn.
And this time—this time—you don’t look back.
--
Weeks pass.
You don’t speak.
Not a word. Not a text. Not even a glance when you’re in the same room.
And it’s fine.
It has to be.
You throw yourself into distractions—work, friends, nights out where the music is too loud and the drinks burn too much. You let other people flirt with you. Let hands that aren’t his touch you. Let lips that don’t taste like him press against yours in dimly lit corners.
You pretend you don’t miss him.
(You do.)
But you tell yourself this is better. Cleaner. Easier.
Until you start hearing things.
He’s been drinking more.
Fighting more.
Losing his temper over nothing.
You overhear his name in conversations, whispered between mutual friends. You see his face in the back of a blurry Instagram story, bottle in hand, eyes dark and unfocused.
And you tell yourself it doesn’t matter.
You tell yourself he’s not your problem anymore.
Until he shows up at your door.
It’s late. Too late for him to be here.
The knock is sharp, impatient. Like he already knows you’re home. Like he already knows you’re going to answer.
You shouldn’t.
You hesitate, fingers hovering over the handle, breath caught somewhere in your throat.
And then—
“Just let me in.”
His voice is quiet. Rough.
You open the door.
And he looks wrecked.
Tired. Haunted. Something’s different.
There’s none of the usual arrogance, none of the teasing smirk, none of the sharp-edged confidence that he wears like armor.
Just him.
His hands shoved deep into his pockets, his jaw tight, his eyes heavy-lidded and unreadable as they drag over you like he’s trying to convince himself you’re real.
Your throat tightens. “Harry—”
“I know,” he cuts you off, shaking his head. “I know, just—”
He exhales sharply, dragging a hand through his hair. His eyes flicker over your face again, and for a second—just a second—you swear you see something crack.
And then he looks at you like that.
Like you’re his last fucking breath.
Like if you tell him to leave, it’ll break him.
And you cave.
You step aside.
You let him in.
And maybe that should be enough.
Maybe the way he holds you like you’re something fragile, the way his breath stutters when you touch him, the way his lips tremble against yours—that should be enough.
But it’s not.
Because fear is still there. Lurking. Poisoning everything it touches.
And you should’ve known.
You should’ve known that no matter how much he wants this, no matter how much he means it in the moment—
He’s still him.
And you’re still you.
And happy endings don’t exist for people like you.
So of course, he fucks up again.
Not with another girl. Not with whispered names and lipstick stains and the kind of betrayal that you could at least understand.
No.
This time, he betrays you with his own fear.
It happens fast. A conversation that turns into an argument, an argument that turns into something worse.
Maybe it starts because you ask too much. Maybe it starts because he’s never learned how to let himself have something good.
But all you know is that suddenly—he’s cold.
Detached.
Suddenly, his walls are back up.
“I don’t do relationships,” he says.
Flat. Emotionless.
Like none of it meant anything.
Like you don’t mean anything.
And it hits you harder than any slap ever could.
You flinch, like you’ve been physically wounded, like he’s just driven a knife between your ribs and twisted it.
Your voice shakes. “Then why did you tell me you loved me?”
Silence.
His jaw clenches.
But he doesn’t answer.
And that’s the worst part.
Not the fight. Not the distance.
The silence.
The fact that he has nothing to say.
And that’s when you know.
That’s when you realize—
This is it.
This is the moment he chooses to let you go.
You shake your head, chest heaving, eyes burning, throat closing up around the words you don’t know how to say.
“You don’t get to do this to me.”
But he already has.
And this time, you don’t give him the chance to stop you.
You walk out.
You don’t look back.
And he lets you.
--
Weeks pass.
You try to move on.
You tell yourself that you’re better off. That you should hate him. That you do hate him.
But then, one night—he shows up.
At your dorm.
At your fucking door, looking like he hasn’t slept, looking like he’s been through hell and back.
His hands are shoved into the pockets of his hoodie, his jaw is tense, his eyes are desperate.
And you—
You want to slam the door in his face.
You want to tell him that he doesn’t get to do this.
That he doesn’t get to come back.
But you don’t.
Because you need to hear what he has to say.
So you glare at him, arms crossed tightly over your chest, forcing your voice to stay steady. “What do you want, Harry?”
He exhales sharply. “I lied.”
Your stomach twists.
You swallow. “About what?”
He hesitates. Shifts his weight. But then—he steps closer.
“About not doing relationships.”
And suddenly, the air is too thick, too heavy.
Your head shakes. Your throat tightens. “You don’t get to do this to me.”
“I know.” His voice is barely above a whisper. “I know, I just—” He sighs, running a frustrated hand through his hair. “I was scared, okay? I didn’t know how to—”
A pause. A beat of silence.
He looks at you, eyes searching, pleading.
“I don’t want to lose you.”
Your lips part. But you don’t say anything.
Because after everything—after all of it—how do you know?
How do you know if this time will be different?
So you stare at him, pulse hammering in your throat, chest rising and falling with uneven breaths.
And then—
“So prove it.”
The challenge hangs between you.
And for the first time in his life—
He doesn’t run.
He doesn’t push you away.
He doesn’t fuck it up.
Instead, he nods.
And he does. --
It’s not instant.
There’s no cinematic moment, no dramatic declaration in the rain, no sudden, sweeping realization that makes everything fall into place.
It’s slow. It’s awkward. It’s frustrating.
But it’s real.
The first time you see him after that night at your dorm, it’s different. He’s different.
He doesn’t smirk. Doesn’t tease. Doesn’t act like he already has you figured out.
Instead, he waits.
You’re the one who has to break the silence.
“You really think you can change?”
His jaw clenches, hands flexing like he wants to reach for you but knows he doesn’t have the right to.
“I know I can.”
And for the first time, you almost believe him.
--
It starts with the little things.
Like how he texts first. Every morning. Every night. Even when there’s nothing to say. Even when it’s just, Hey, eat something. Or, Are you sleeping? Or, I know you’re still awake, don’t lie.
Like how he shows up. Actually shows up.
Not just for the easy moments. Not just for the nights when he’s desperate for you.
But for the moments when you’re exhausted, when you’re in a bad mood, when you’re not the version of yourself that’s easy to love.
And he stays anyway.
--
The first time you test him, it’s almost accidental.
He calls, asks if you want to come over.
And for the first time, you tell him no.
A few months ago, that would’ve been the end of it.
A few months ago, he would’ve gone out, found someone else, let his frustration morph into recklessness.
But this time, he just exhales. “Okay.”
“Okay?”
A pause.
Then, softly— “Yeah, baby. That’s okay.”
And that’s when you realize—this isn’t the same boy who let you walk away.
He’s trying.
For the first time in his life, he’s trying.
--
It takes time.
Weeks. Months.
You make him work for it.
Because love shouldn’t be easy—not after everything.
Not after the hurt, the late nights spent waiting for him to choose you, the months wasted pretending it was nothing.
He should prove it.
And he does.
--
The first time he holds your hand in public, it’s instinctive. Thoughtless.
You’re walking down the street, talking about something unimportant, when suddenly—his fingers brush against yours.
And instead of pulling away, he just…takes your hand.
Like it’s the most natural thing in the world.
Like he’s not even thinking about it.
Like he’s not the same man who once made you feel like a secret.
You don’t say anything.
But you don’t let go, either.
And neither does he.
--
One night, he’s driving you home when he suddenly pulls over.
You blink at him. “Uh. What are we doing?”
His fingers drum against the steering wheel. He won’t look at you.
“D’you know the last time I did this?”
You frown. “Did what?”
“Took you home.” He swallows, finally turning to face you. “Last time, I let you walk away.”
Your stomach twists. You remember. Of course, you remember.
He inhales sharply. “Not this time.”
And then, he says it.
“I love you.”
Not because he’s scared. Not because he thinks you’re slipping away.
Just because he does.
And for the first time, you don’t have to question if he means it.
Because this time, he’s not running.
This time, he stays.
And this time—so do you.

DESIRE |Gong Yoo x Reader
Summary: You want a baby and he is willing to give it to you.
Warning: unprotected sex, breeding kink.
It was 1920 in Seoul. Night fell gently over the city, blanketing it with a blanket of tranquility. Inside your home, the soft crackling of the firewood in the kitchen accompanied the aroma of the dinner you were carefully preparing. You had arrived in Korea a few years ago, and although everything had been strange and new at first, this country now felt like home, especially since you married Gong Yoo.
He was the owner of an antique shop, a hardworking man who left early and returned when the sun had already set. His love for objects from the past seemed to be reflected in his calm and thoughtful demeanor, but when he was with you, that seriousness faded away to give way to a warmth that made you feel like the luckiest woman in the world.
You'd only been married for a few months, and every day with him was a new reason to love him more. But lately, a new desire had begun to blossom in your heart. Your friend Ji-Ah had given birth to a beautiful baby boy, and ever since you saw him, you couldn't stop imagining what it would be like to have a baby with Gong Yoo.
The sound of the door opening pulled you from your thoughts.
—"I'm home," his deep, familiar voice announced. You smiled, setting aside your utensils to greet him. He approached you and, without hesitation, took your face in his hands and placed a kiss on your lips, as he did every night when he arrived.
—“Go to the table, dinner is ready,” you told him with a smile.
He nodded, calmly taking off his coat before sitting down. His eyes followed you fondly as you carried the plates to the table. Once the food was served, you sat across from him and asked curiously:
—¿How was your day?
—"Hectic, but good. I sold a beautiful piece of porcelain to a Japanese collector, though it took some convincing.” He smiled proudly. Then, he looked at you and asked, “And you? How was your day?” You took a sip of water before answering excitedly:
—Ji-Ah had her baby today. A boy. He's beautiful. Gong Yoo's eyes widened in surprise.
—Really?
—"Yes," you nodded enthusiastically. "So small and delicate..."
You continued eating, but your mind was still focused on the image of that baby. After the meal, Gong Yoo helped you wash the cutlery as usual. When you were finished, he settled onto his single sofa, flipping through a book he'd brought from the store.
You changed into your sleepwear and, heart pounding, approached him, sitting on his lap. Gong Yoo looked at you curiously, putting his book aside.
—What's happening?
You bit your lip, a little nervous, but you didn't want to keep this to yourself.
—"Seeing the baby... it made me want one," you confessed quietly, seeking his reaction.
For a moment, he said nothing. Then, a crooked smile appeared on his face.
—Oh really?
—Yes. Don't you want one?
He exhaled slowly, looking at you tenderly.
—I never thought about having children… but imagining a baby that looks like you… oh, that would be a dream.
Your heart filled with joy and you couldn't help but smile sweetly at him.
—"So... do you want to try it?" you asked with a mischievous glint in your eyes.
Gong Yoo narrowed his eyes, his smile growing.
—“Fine,” he agreed without hesitation.
Without waiting any longer, you kissed him passionately. He reciprocated, deepening the kiss with a new desire blossoming between you. But suddenly, you pulled away and quickly stood up.
—“Let’s go to the room,” you said, holding out your hand.
He let out a low, amused laugh.
—"Come on," he replied, taking your hand.
And together, with laughter and breathless kisses, they ran to their room, letting love envelop them on that night full of promises and shared dreams.
In the bedroom, Gong Yoo quickly unbuttoned his shirt and took off his suit pants. You helped him remove it while still kissing him. He then removed the white sleeveless shirt he was wearing underneath, and your hands ran over his muscles and shoulders as he kissed your neck, causing you to sigh.
With slow movements, he slid the straps of your nightgown off your shoulders, leaving kisses on your skin until you were left in only your panties. Then, he completely removed his pants, leaving you in only boxers and stockings. Impatient, he effortlessly picked you up, tired of having to bend down to reach you, and you wrapped your legs around his waist. He quickly carried you to the bed and, as he placed you on the mattress, began to leave kisses on your chest and neck. He took one of your nipples in his mouth and sucked it gently, drawing involuntary moans from you. Then he went down kissing your belly and, with a deep voice, he murmured:
—In a few months...
Without giving you time to respond, he moved down to your panties and gently removed them. He parted your legs and, holding them on the side of his head, positioned himself between them. When his mouth made contact with your skin, a stifled moan escaped your lips, causing you to arch your back as your hands gripped the sheets. His name drifted between your sighs until, unable to resist any longer, you climaxed.
He sat up, his mouth still wet and a satisfied smile on his face, wiping his lips with a hand. Although it wasn't the first time he'd done it, you felt the heat rise to your cheeks. Gong Yoo moved up on top of you and kissed you again, deepening the contact with passion. As they kissed, he removed his underwear and tossed it to the side of the room. He settled between your legs, aligning himself at your entrance, and stared at you before whispering intensely:
— My Wife...
You smiled at his words and kissed him tenderly. Then, he began to move slowly inside you, setting a rhythm that soon grew more intense. You both moaned into each other's mouths until, with increasing desire, his thrusts increased in speed and depth. Your nails dug into his back, and your gasps mingled with his. Gong Yoo broke the kiss and lowered his face to your chest, capturing a nipple between his lips as he continued his movements. Your head fell back against the pillow, his eyes clouded with pleasure. He smiled at your reaction and let out a satisfied groan.
The peak reached you first, and soon after, he followed, burying his face in your neck as he trembled against your body. Breathless, you both stared at each other before kissing desperately.
—"I like this whole trying-to-have-babies thing," he murmured against your lips with a mischievous smile.
You let out a soft laugh and hugged him close. And so, between caresses and whispers, you fell asleep together.
I know I disappeared, but now I'm back my loves🫶

Say Yes to Heaven - Lucien

Pairing: Lucien × Reader
Summary: You find the bed empty upon waking up. Bundled in your blanket, you head out to find Lucien and demand that he warm you up.
Tags & Warnings: Fluff, suggestive but nothing explicit (if i miss anything, let me know)
Word Count: 1077
Links: Masterlist

Sunight creeps languidly through the heavy drapes, heralding the persistent call of the waking world. The day has come, and in minutes, the entire room is bathed in golden light. You’re forced to relinquish the last dregs of sleep clinging to you. You roll over expecting to find Lucien beside you, only to see that his side of the bed is empty. You run your palm over the sheets and find them still warm.
With one last stretch, you pull yourself out of the bed and onto your feet. You wrap the blanket tightly around your shoulders, not ready to give up their warm embrace just yet. The manor is deathly quiet as you pad through the hallways as if the rest of the world is as reluctant to wake too. The persistent chill of winter remains in the air, the tiles as cool as ice beneath your feet. The blanket trails on the floor behind you, and you can already imagine the legendary scolding Jurian would give you if he were to catch you. You imagine Vassa would only laugh at you, if she wasn't too busy being a bird.
Thankfully, no such altercations occur, and you find Lucien sitting in the library, busy reading what you assume are reports from Prythian. He’s lounging by the fire, clad only in his rumpled, unbuttoned tunic and plain trousers. His legs are carelessly spread, his cheek resting on his hand - the picture of relaxed nonchalance. Lucien wears finery like a fine suit of armor, his bravado like a sword secured at his hip, and it’s rare to see him so unguarded, so candid. When he spots you, all bundled up, by the door, a bemused expression makes its way across his face.
“You left,” you sniff indignantly.
His only response to your complaint is a smirk. So you pad deeper into the room until you're standing in between his legs. The smug look on his face only seems to grow at the increased proximity.
“Why?” He asks. “Did you miss me?” Lucien’s eyes trail down your body with deliberate slowness, stalling over your exposed thighs. His hand comes up to grasp the side of your hip, a movement made instinctually, naturally, as though his existence only makes sense when you’re there, with him.
You don’t deign to respond, but you let him pull you onto his lap. He wraps his arms around you, tucking you under his chin as he continues to read. You sink onto him, enjoying the heat that perpetually radiates off his body. He’s basically a sentient furnace, your love. Your hands trail beneath his shirt and he jolts the moment your cold hands make contact with his skin.
“Mother’s tits, you’re freezing.” He exclaims, wiggling in his seat.
“Because you left,” you retort, running your hands languidly over his back. Goosebumps rise in the wake of your touch. “This is your doing, miscreant.”
Lucien cackles but recovers. “Apologies, my lady,” Lucien says with exaggerated gravity, his hand over his chest. “I’m adequately chastised. I’ll be sure never to abandon you in bed again.”
“You better,” you threaten, trying to fight the smile from emerging on your lips. “Or else I’ll find someone else to warm my bed.”
Lucien stiffens, holding you tighter against him as if readying to fight off anyone who dares to draw near. With his hand on your chin, he lifts your head to meet his gaze.
“What was that?” He speaks, something dangerous lingering in the depths of his words.
You raise your brow in challenge. “I said, if you keep leaving me I’ll find-“
He shuts you up with his lips on yours, but it’s a soft fragile thing. His lips move against yours like the back and forth of a waltz. Lucien pulls you tighter into his embrace, enveloping you in the scent of sandalwood, cinnamon, and smoke. You melt against him and think that you could stay like this forever, as long as you’re with him. You want to lay here even as the world cracks and burns around you, until the both of you are covered in ivy, moss, and memory.
As if sensing the direction of your thoughts, Lucien deepens the kiss. Your lips willingly part for him and he licks into your mouth, eager for a taste. His hands are molten against your skin, kneading the pliant flesh of your hips from where your nightgown has ridden up. You can feel his chest expand as he inhales your scent as if reminding himself that you’re with him, in this moment, and there you will remain until your body gives out from the force of loving him.
Eventually, the two of you have to break the kiss. Just there, his forehead on yours, breathing the other in. Idly, you tap your finger over the freckles on his chest, parsing them like constellations in the night sky. You wonder what prophecies you’d be able to divine in the shapes they take. You press a kiss on the freckle over his beating heart, and Lucien shudders beneath your touch.
You move to the wealth of freckles spread across his cheek, over his nose, then on his chin. Lucien pretends to be preoccupied with the reports, but it’s a losing battle. There’s a ghost of a smile on his lips, and you plant a soft, chaste kiss at the upturned corner. You kiss him like he’s an object of worship, and only your heart, your body, your whole being would be a worthy sacrifice.
“Is that the only thanks I get for being your sentient, walking furnace?” He teases, brow arched, but not unkindly. “Threats and a few kisses?” Beams of sunlight hit his face like a lattice of amber, accentuating his sharp features, and setting his russet eye ablaze. And it strikes you just how damn pretty he is, scars and all.
“I’d prefer it if my sentient furnace did not walk away at all,” you retort, raising your brow in turn.
“Ungrateful,” he teases, even as he begins to trail tender kisses over your neck. “You’re lucky I adore you, dearly.”
You huff, pretending his words haven’t set you aflame in a way only he can.
“I suppose,” you begin, tapping your finger over your chin. “I could be persuaded to thank you properly if you go back to bed with me.”
Lucien glances at the report and pretends to consider it for three whole seconds, before setting it down the table with finality. He smiles, as bright as the sun, beautiful, blinding, yours.
“Let's go then,” he says, as he easily carries you back to your room.

AN:
Hello! I’m new to this fandom & I’d love to hear your thoughts. 💙
i’ve been so obsessed with Lucien recently. I made art of him and I love how people kept mentioning his freckles so here is we are. + I hate the cold and had the thought that Lucien would be the perfect person to cuddle up to in winter.

Reset [M] Pairing: Jinyoung (Got7) x Fem!Reader Tags: 2.7k, exes to lovers, comfort/fluff, humor, smut 21+ Summary: Life works in mysterious ways - like when it puts two divorcees together and turns up the heat. It doesn’t help that he’s handsome, charming, and still in love with you.
Warnings: Explicit Sexual Content 21+ MINORS DNI. mxf, no protection (don’t make me tell ya’ll again), no foreplay - he’s just hot, ex-spouses rekindling, mild language, and a glass of wine. It's more banter and fluff than smut tbh.

When you got home, his car was parked in the driveway, so when you walked in the front door, you were not surprised in the least to see your ex-husband waiting for you. To be honest, you had a feeling he’d be here anyway.
“Jinyoung,” you hum patiently, hanging your purse next to his keys and kicking off your heels next to his shoes at the door, “Just because you still have a key, doesn’t mean you can show up any time you like.”
Jinyoung only smirks from his proprietary position on your couch. He’s plenty relaxed, his fitted grey pants stretched taut over his thighs comfortably spread apart, taking up more space than necessary. The crisp white shirt he’s wearing is unbuttoned, sleeves rolled to his elbows. No watch, phone, shoes, socks, or keys, and his typically perfect hair is tousled and relaxed.
He doesn’t plan on leaving any time soon.
“How was your day at work, sweetheart? Kids all settled in at your mom's?”
His playful response thins your patience, just slightly. “They’re teenage boys with dirtbikes and twenty acres of land. You know they don’t need to settle in anymore. They practically live outside all weekend except when mom calls them in to eat. They’re fine,” you ignore his first question and continue moving past him, straight toward the kitchen.
Jinyoung laughs and you can hear him getting up to follow you. You’re bent over, looking in the refrigerator drawers to pull something out for dinner when his hands slide over your hips, pulling you back up and away from your task. You kick the fridge shut with your foot and he kisses your temple. “I already ordered delivery,” he hums against your shoulder now, hands trailing up and around your waist, keeping you anchored to his body, “How about a glass of wine?”
You want to say no but it’s been a long day, it’s the weekend, and you’ll want one if you have to endure this for the rest of the night.
“Make it red,” you sigh in defeat, rolling your eyes when he kisses your neck.
As he pulls away, you catch yourself watching his every move. It’s been three months of this.
You were together for fifteen years, married twelve, brought two beautiful boys into the world, and divorced just over a year ago. It was a mutual choice, one you hated to make, but it was what felt necessary at the time. Jinyoung was still the same incredibly attentive father keeping the boys every weekend, showing up for every school award and sporting event, and you even agreed to still have holidays together as a family. You co-parented like champs.
And then he invited you over one night for dinner, just to catch up, about three months ago. It wasn’t even the first time you had done it. There were several occasions since your separation when you shared a meal with and without the kids. This one just happened to be…different.
Dinner was fine, pleasant even, and then he fucked you against every single surface in his condo like he was making up for time lost over the last year in one evening. Worse than that, you spent the night and did it all over again the next day.
Presently, Jinyoung hands you a glass and pours another for himself. You swirl the contents idly until he corks the bottle and lifts his glass to yours. “To our good fortune and health, our wildly handsome sons who are probably not going to shower for the next three days,” your pursed lips break into a small smile, amusement glittering in your eyes, “And to us, for everything we’ve accomplished, and for all that’s yet to come.”
His smile is a dazzling reminder of how you fell for him in the first place. You raise your glass and take a hardy sip letting the flavor splash over your palette. “How long until the food gets here?”
Jinyoung glances at the clock overhead and grins. “Twenty minutes.”
Your eyes slip down to his chest and that’s all it takes for Jinyoung to have you pinned against the counter with your panties pushed aside and one of your legs up around his waist. You cling to his shoulders, crying out his name as he fucks you recklessly right there in your own kitchen.
Because he can.
Because you want him to.
He pumps into you faster and you try to brace yourself on the cool granite, accidentally knocking into one of the wine glasses. Neither of you even stops to look as the glass tips over and shatters, red wine bleeding out until it’s spilling onto the floor. You’re too close and he refuses to look at anything other than your face, lids half closed, lips parted in praise.
“We’re running out of time,” he murmurs, still smirking as he says it because he knows you’ll finish before then. He reaches up, cradling your cheek in one hand which might seem sweet for a moment but then he pushes his thumb against the seam of your lips, parting his own as a silent order to open yours.
Despite how distracted you are, you understand easily what he’s doing and accept his instructions, opening up for him to push the tip of his thumb inside just long enough for you to wet it before he’s pulling it out and rolling it over your clit, lazily at first. He finds so much joy in dragging things out for as long as he possibly can, grinning the entire time. Then his phone buzzes in his pocket and he knows he’ll have to save the teasing for later.
He leans closer, kissing your neck as he speeds up both his hands and hips. Your head tips back into the cabinet behind you, panting into the open air above. The sweet sounds pouring from your lips spur him on and it is absolutely not in his plans to finish now, as masochistic as that feels at the moment, so he contains them, slipping his free hand behind your neck so he can kiss you hotly on the mouth, swallowing each sigh. It’s exactly what you needed too.
The doorbell chimes and you barely hear it, all background noise canceled out as your orgasm leaves you shaking, ears ringing, and chest heaving. He doesn’t move until you still, slumped back against the counter trying to catch your breath. Then, after he fixes his clothes, he slides your panties back in place, pulls your dress down, and kisses you again, much softer this time.
“Food is here,” he hums, smiling when you trail after his lips.
“Food can be reheated later,” you counter, catching him in another kiss.
Jinyoung laughs, the sound is beautiful and something you’ve missed so much. “Let me at least bring it inside and clean up the mess on the floor real quick.”
Oh, right. Broken wine glass. “I’ll clean that up.”
Jinyoung shakes his head. “Let me take care of it, please.”
Let me take care of you…
You hold onto him for a few seconds more and relent, “I’ll be in the bedroom. You remember where that is, don’t you?”
His brows pull together, “My favorite room in the house? Of course, I do.”
Jinyoung leaves you with an easy grin and you watch him go until he’s out of sight before trailing down the hall to your room. Bypassing the light switch, you opt to use the lamp on the bedside table instead and it fills the room with a low–light. You pull off your dress and bra, depositing them in the hamper, and decide to grab one of his shirts from its hidden place in the depths of your closet.
When he returns, food in hand as you predicted, he grins seeing that you read his mind.
“If we don’t eat it now, we never will,” you shrug, patting his side of the bed, “Come on.”
He hands over the bags to you and you begin pulling things out trying to not get distracted by him stripping off his clothes until he’s left in only his briefs and crawling into bed next to you. He helps set everything up and you grab the remote, flipping on the TV.
It’s so painfully reminiscent of your early years together. When you were wholly focused on your relationship with each other, not on your careers, your children, or your future.
After a while, Jinyoung lets out a small sigh. “When did we stop doing this?”
You smile wistfully. “It’s been a long time,” you poke at your food in the takeout container, “At some point we just…gave up.”
He understands what you truly mean.
Jinyoung stares at the side of your face, your eyes still trained on the contents you’re stirring around in thought. He has always loved you - he still does in this very moment. It was never about falling out of love, but because you both fell into roles. A husband, a wife. A father and a mother. You’d forgotten that beneath all of that, you were two people in love, and at some point, you stopped prioritizing your relationship.
“I love you,” he says suddenly and you look at him, wide-eyed, “I love you so much and I’m sorry I stopped saying it out loud.”
“Jiny-”
He sets his container down and turns to you, reaching out for your free hand. “I’m sorry that I stopped kissing you hello, and goodbye, and for no reason at all…that I stopped holding your hand in the car and across the table,” you set your food aside and take his other hand, squeezing it tightly, “I’m sorry that I didn’t even realize that I’d just…stopped trying.”
“I am just as much at fault,” you reach up, brushing your thumb under his eye, burning with fresh tears, “We were…young and so in love, and then we grew up and life got busy. We stopped prioritizing our needs in our relationship and we got burnt out.”
He nods, understanding exactly what you mean.
“I love you, Jinyoung, I have always loved you, and I’m sorry we had to go through all of this just to remember how to show it to one another.”
He cradles your face in his hands and pulls you closer to kiss you tenderly. It’s soft, sad, happy, sweet…it’s full of love. Your hands close around his wrists and he pulls back a touch, smiling at you softly. “I can’t say I am glad we did it, but it gave us this chance to remember who we are and what we want. I love you and I want to spend every day reminding you just how much I love you.”
“Are you asking me to go steady, Jinyoung?”
He rolls his eyes at your teasing and steals another kiss. “I’m asking you to be my wife…again.”
“I don’t think I can go through the stress of another wedding,” you sigh, pressing your foreheads together.
“You don’t want to hear me recite my vows to you all over again?”
He says it as he leans over you, arms coming around your body in a way that says he won’t be letting go any time soon. It's a glorious place to be and the thought of calling him your husband again, just your husband and not your ex, is as thrilling now as it was when he proposed.
“Well, maybe I could be persuaded…a little intimate garden wedding sounds kind of nice…”
He grins and buries his face in your neck, savoring the beautiful sound of the laughter that spills from your lips as he kisses your skin over and over. Then he picks his head up and bites his lip, “How do you think the boys will feel?”
You scoff. “I think the boys know more than they let on.”
He tilts his head in thought. “Now that you mention it, I usually get a reminder text, sometimes from both of them, every day leading up to a stay with your parents. Almost like they wanted to make sure I knew you’d be home alone that particular weekend….my darling sons….handsome and clever, like their father.”
“Mhm,” you purse your lips at the wistful look on his face, “Come to think of it, I remember your eldest looking a little too smug, like his father, when he asked ‘What happened to what’s his face?’ as if he already knew. You told him, didn’t you?”
Jinyoung scowls thinking about the guy you had just barely started seeing before the two of you started fooling around again. “That tall motherfucker,” he grunts, “I can’t believe you were going to replace me with that guy. What? Just because he can cook? So what…anybody can take a cooking class!”
You roll your eyes, quietly laughing at his ongoing rant.
He finally notices the amusement all over your face and abruptly asks, “What’s so funny?”
You shake your head, still grinning, “Kind of cute to know you still get jealous over me.”
Jinyoung scoffs, stutters, and then closes his mouth for a moment. “Ok, yeah…fair. I was extremely jealous. You could have chosen someone less attractive.”
“That would have made you less jealous?” you quirk your brow.
“No,” he immediately shakes his head. No hesitation.
Laughter erupts from your chest. You didn’t think so either. “ Listen, I wasn’t replacing you and that guy is a good person, so be nice. Your boys were feral around him but he had the patience of a saint. I’m still surprised he didn’t run away after picking me up for our first date. They must take after you…hellions.”
Jinyoung gives you the most deadpan expression. “My boys are angels.”
“Your boys are howling at the moon and swinging through trees right now.”
He laughs but agrees. “Have they checked in at all? I haven’t heard anything.”
“I have no idea, my phone is still in my purse,” you pinch his arm, grinning, “I walked in to find you spread out on the couch and got distracted. I had to pretend I wasn’t drooling just looking at you.”
“You don’t have to pretend that I am not the sexiest man you’ve ever laid eyes on,” he teases with a pretty smile, “I think it’s obvious if you’re willing to marry me twice.”
“Go get my phone so we can be responsible parents.”
He obliges but only after he kisses you so thoroughly it leaves you breathless in his wake. He winks, climbing out of the bed. “Have I told you that you’re the hottest mom, ever?”
You reach for the hem of your shirt, pulling it over your head until you’re exposed to his hungry eyes. “How about you just move your ass so I can remind you exactly how hot I am.”
He has to drag himself away, quickly making his way into the living room, retrieving your phone from your purse at lightning speed, and then he jumps back into bed, passing it into your waiting hands. You unlock your phone and find a message waiting. You burst into laughter and hold it out for Jinyoung to read.
“Goodnight Mom (and Dad…we know you’re there. You share your phone location with us, remember?) Grandma says she knows too but told us to mind our business. I think she is really happy though because she gave us a high-five and extra dessert. Ok, LOVE YOU GUYS!!!”
Jinyoung laughs, scratching the back of his head. “Yeah…I forgot about the location thing,” he admits, climbing back under the covers next to you, “I guess this means we can stop sneaking around.”
“I think I might miss the privacy in your condo,” you grin, playfully squeezing his chest, “We can’t be nearly as loud here.”
Jinyoung smirked, “Let’s sell both our places and buy a new one with the master bedroom on the opposite side of the house.”
“And a pool so the boys stay busy outside.”
Jinyoung kisses your forehead. “I love the way you think.”
“Thank you,” you say sweetly, rolling on top of your husband, “But I want you to make sure I can’t think straight for the next forty-eight hours.”
Jinyoung grins, flipping over to pin your body beneath his. “Happy wife,” he pauses to steal another searing kiss, “Happy life.”
