Under 16 days in which to apply for a postal vote.
There are:
14 days 16hs 59min left to register to vote (deadline 23:59 18 June 2024).
15 days 10hs left to apply for a postal vote (deadline 17:00 19 June 2024).
22 days 10hs left to apply for a proxy vote (deadline 17:00 26 June 2024).
22 days 10hs left to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate*.
*Only required if you do not have suitable ID, or you no longer resemble your ID photo, or your name as per your ID does not match the name on the voter register.

Forgot I was up early for a haircut.
So far, delighted that Joanna Cherry is out. Good riddance, just a shame that the Labour MP who’s replaced her is a horrible racist.
Greens in England and Wales won all of their target seats which is really cool.
Penny Mordaunt lost her seat, very interesting.

The UK general election is on Thursday, 4th July.
You need to register to vote before Tuesday, 18th June.
It usually takes about 5 minutes. You'll be asked for your National Insurance number, but you can still register if you do not have one.
You can register to vote anonymously if you're concerned about your name and address appearing on the electoral register for safety reasons.
Register at https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
You'll need to show photo ID when voting in person.
Check if you have accepted photo ID at https://www.gov.uk/how-to-vote/photo-id-youll-need.
If you don't have photo ID, you have until 5pm on Wednesday, 26th June to apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate.

uk public: we're really concerned about the rising cost of living
rishi sunak: HAVE COMPULSORY HALF-THOUGHT OUT NATIONAL SERVICE
uk public: No we said we're concerned about the cost of-
conservatives and labour: you want us to fight over who can have the most unethical immigration policies??
uk public: we want to be able to afford groceries and heating
conservatives: ohhh i get it you want us to make benefits even more inaccessible and new policies to target disabled people??
uk public: can we at least get some good environmental policies so our energy is sustainable and prices aren't consistently rising??
uk political parties: TIKTOK MEME WAR
uk public: No!! coherent, realistic, helpful policies to reduce the costs of living!!
