Man I was on ur Twitter and first of all a solid cringe towards commenter, 0/10 behavior (im so curious for screenshots but understandable if you want to keep that close) and second of all autistic Erwin so true and valid— he’s got the masking down to a T

Idk why Levi is the one so hc as neurodivergent tbh, I see him as the more resolutely neurotypical one but to make up for it he has a million other flavors of things up with him

erwin being on the spectrum is so intuitive to me at this point, like it's as embedded in my characterization of him as levi's transness is to him GRAH the way that he's a character who feels so deeply but struggles to communicate his compassion, and so defers to letting people assume that he's cold and unfeeling 😭the way he overcompensates for it through his overly polite speech, the way he oscillates between unflinching conviction and abject self-defeatism it's so GOOOOODDDD AAAGGHHH

as for neurodivergent levi headcanons, i obviously don't have a problem with people doing transformative fiction, but i do think it's pretty typical of the way that people tend to project onto levi by emphasizing and elaborating on his internal character struggles. sometimes that comes in the form of pathologizing some of his peculiarities (giving him anger issues or cleaning OCD, for example), or it's just in terms of classic whump tropes where he suffers inordinately for the sake of reader/author catharsis. not to say that i'm at all innocent of this with erwin though LMAO

personally, i do agree with you that levi is the more 'neurotypical' between him and erwin, though 'neurotypical' doesn't mean normal or even relatable. he's definitely a very extreme guy who is alarmingly efficient at tactical dissociation (the way soldiers are trained to dehumanize their targets, but levi probably adopted this way of thinking in order to survive, and can draw upon it easily to torture and maim if so ordered). regardless, he's been shown as consistently capable of making level-headed decisions at the inattention to his own emotional needs- the one exception, of course, being his choice in midnight sun. gay people and the apocalyptic implications of their love oh my god.

anyway my general take on levi is that he basically has himself sorted out, and the struggles that we see him undergo in canon are primarily external ones that serve to test or refine his pre-existing principles. he falls into self-doubt in momentary bursts, but i can't recall when he's allowed those feelings to seriously impede on his ability to act, or when those feelings became a holistic warping of reality, like how erwin experiences them. what's important to note about erwin is that he doesn't just dislike himself, it's that his guilt and self-loathing is so total that it disrupts his ability to objectively perceive reality. he'll take the least charitable self-narrative over the most accurate one, in basically every instance ;;;;;;

pontius like. instantly likes me once he sees me bc i have dyed hair and he wants to bleach his hair so i'm like instantly chill in his eyes yk (<- think i got this from cent. can't remember. thanks to cent jic 🫡). i eventually help him bleach his hair (most likely against jesse and ambers wishes. but i don't know that. he probably lied and said they're cool with it lol) (also gideon just observes) and it just becomes a regular thing (also jesse absolutely walked in on me bleaching pontius' hair for the first time. that's the only reason why he's a tad bit 🤨 to me. <- absolutely got this idea from cent which i think is super funny thank u brogirl. i imagine this would have the same vibes as the "what do you have there" "a smoothie" icarly meme). i don't think i could Fix pontius but i Could accidentally make him worse, in the sense that i give him actual advice and he just twists my words and does whatever he wants. there's been like 4 separate times where i give him advice and then he just does smth his parents told him not to do (like oh idk.. get a sta/lin tattoo?????) and he says i'm what helped him get that or wtvr wkgSKHN.

abraham! is actually a nice kid he's nowhere near as… i can't even describe pontius. but he's not wild. or at least not yet idk how they're gonna write him for s4 if they actually decide to give him a personalityKWGNSJ. but me and abraham bond over games since he likes racing games (i'm going off of exactly 1 scene in early s2 where he and pontius play a game lol). we play mario kart often :>> he tootally mains yoshi and/or luigi. i'm a waluigi main 95% of the time (other 5% i play peach. typical gay guy behavior /lh). ok anyways i think abraham would pick up mario kart rly fast and eventually like 7/10 times he's winning over me loll.

- 100000/10 🔥🔥🔥 I loved the show. Yes it was kinda stereotypical in the Mafia bits but those were few and far between honestly. The plot was still kinda original and it was gay so it gets bonus points just for that.

- I would actually watch this again. Which is a huge compliment from me bcs there’s only maybe 4 shows I’ll watch more than once.

- WHERE IS MY VEGAS/PETE SPIN OFF???

- WHERE IS MY KIM/PORCHAY SPIN OFF???? I NEED TO KNOW IF MY SON GETS A HAPPY ENDING.

- also. Like what is Kim up to?? Obviously we see Porchay living in the major family house with Kinn/Porsche. And Kim is back at his apartment. But other than groveling for forgiveness from Porchay, what’s he doing?? And why was he curious about Porsche’s background in the first place?? Kim could have stayed uninvolved and left Porchay out of this and the plot could have still worked in my opinion.

- I walked into this show just expecting mafia bullshittery and gay bullshittery. I got both. But I also just fell in love with a whole genre of show (this was the first BL I have ever watched). I don’t watch tv shows or even movies often bcs I have a hard time getting invested in new characters and actually focusing on the plot of a show/movie. But the show was long enough to keep me interested and still short enough I didn’t get bored. The episodes being roughly an hour is nice bcs I actually get plot in the episode (to me a typical 20 minute tv show just isn’t enough time to develop a good plot line). I’ve got a ton of BL dramas on my watch list and the length of the series/episode are all pretty similar (if I remember correctly) and the consistency is nice.

- Also. Gained several new ships and I unlocked the shows fanfic genre. A win for me.

- Also also. I know Kinn/Porsche is obviously the main ship of the show but I have a soft spot for Vegas/Pete and I didn’t expect that. I also never expected to like either character but here we are 🤷 Pete is still Pete but bcs my boy Vegas likes him I like him well enough.
