As you know, I use my Tumblr to show art and advertise my streams, but I will go IRL here for a bit.
So, for the friends that know me. I have Polycystic kidney disease (or PKD), which, due to the cysts, has been degrading my kidneys. I am currently on a donor list; however, even with lifestyle changes and doing everything. My kidney function, or GFR, has been slowly decreasing, and if this continues, I MAY have to go on dialysis. I am currently working, and if that happens. That will affect my life and time.

“There’s a lot less pushback to things that previously they would have considered diva behaviour.

“But when I ask about things like carpet onstage or steps in clubs or if the dressing room is the disabled toilet, it can be frustrating.
“I need to make sure I’m not putting too much strain on my body so that I can do the best performance I can.”

“But that doesn’t mean the performance that I do isn’t fucking excellent. I want audiences to keep an open mind. Something as simple as what is on my feet.
“I don’t wear my giant eight-inch stilettos anymore because that is what is safe for my body to do so that I can be a good performer.
“I wish people would keep an open mind and put some judgment aside because there is so much more to art than sky-high heels and crazy tricks.
“Sure, art is subjective, but keep an open mind because you don’t know what’s going on with that performer, and you don’t have to know to enjoy what they do.”
