When I Was Your Woman
alexia putellas x reader — angst with happy ending, nsfw content and mentions of cheating and physical and mental health and conditions.
When you walked away from Alexia, you made a vow to yourself—one you swore you’d never break: you would never forgive her.
“It was just a kiss,” she’d said, her voice trembling.
But to you, it was never just a kiss. It was the first crack in the foundation of trust, the prelude to betrayal.
She begged. Fell to her knees, hands clutching at your sleeves, desperate. Her pleas hung thick in the air, dissolving into the silence between you.
It had happened that night, during the celebration of yet another team victory. The atmosphere was electric, the kind of night where possibilities felt infinite—until they shattered.
In a single, fleeting moment, she was locked in a sloppy, too-deep kiss with a blonde stranger. It ended almost as soon as it began, but the damage carved itself into your bones.
Alexia pulled away, face flushed, the room spinning as if the world itself were recoiling from her.
The blonde woman stepped closer, reaching for her again, but Alexia shoved her back.
Without a word, she tossed cash onto the bar and stormed into the night.
When she got into her car, she punched the steering wheel in frustration.
The memory of you both lying on the couch on a Sunday morning, talking about various topics, came rushing back. You had told her you'd never forgive infidelity, and she had promised she would never do that to you. The weight of that memory suffocated her.
She wanted to crash her car, to feel physical pain—anything to distract from the emotional agony of what she had done to you.
It took her a while to get home.
Alexia couldn't forget what you told her:
"I hope you enjoyed the kiss, because that was the moment you lost me."
And you were right. The price of kissing that blonde stranger was losing the love of her life.
You were determined to leave Barcelona, and thankfully, for your sanity, Alba, Alexia's sister, let you stay for the night.
The next morning, you woke up early and went to buy some presents for Alexia’s family, especially for her sister, mother, and grandmother.
You knew it was inevitable that you would lose contact with her family, and that hurt you as much as Alexia’s betrayal.
Still, you made a promise to yourself to call Alexia’s grandmother every week, and you were a woman of trust.
Eli didn’t say much, and neither did you.
“I’m sorry, Eli. I know Alexia is your daughter, and so is your sister, Alba. I don’t want to speak badly about her in front of you, so I'd rather not give you any explanations.”
They understood.
You saw Alexia’s family a couple of times after that, with the exception of her grandmother, whom you visited often.
The poor lady understood that you didn’t want to see Alexia, so she always let you know when it was safe to visit.
Two years later, you found yourself standing in front of Alexia’s apartment door.
You didn’t know what to expect, so you kept your hopes in check.
When you saw on your phone that Alexia had torn her ACL, you felt a deep empathy for her.
You didn’t know much about that type of injury, but after reading about it and understanding how difficult the recovery process would be, you decided to visit her.
When you rang the bell, Alexia was on the couch. Alone. She had asked Eli and Alba to leave for an hour or so because she needed some time alone, as silence filled the house.
She had been deeply upset by your departure, and the injury only deepened her depression.
Even after two years, her heart still waited for you.
It was a challenge for her to get up from the sofa because she was still awaiting surgery. Her leg was immobilized, making movement nearly impossible.
Just as you were about to leave, thinking she might not live there anymore, she opened the door.
The initial shock of seeing you made her drop her crutches.
She called your name carefully, her tone questioning, as if she thought you might disappear. You nodded.
Suddenly, her face turned red, and she covered it with her hands, letting out a deep, heart-wrenching cry.
You ran to her and embraced her fully, soothing her.
The way she held onto you sent a shiver down your spine.
“Don’t leave, please… Don’t. Don’t.”
Her grip was almost painful, but you knew she didn’t mean to hurt you.
“I’m not leaving, but let’s go inside so you can sit down.”
You helped Alexia by handing her the crutches and guiding her to the sofa.
She kept looking at you intensely, afraid to glance away.
“I came because I saw the news, and I was worried,” you explained.
Alexia was visibly moved and could barely speak, so you continued.
“Especially because of what I told you when it happened.”
«I hope football betrays you as badly as you betrayed me.»
“I’m not happy about what happened to you. Even if I said that, even if I meant it at the time, I truly hope you recover as soon as possible.”
Inside Alexia, something healed, but she still felt like a monster for what she did to you. When she tore her ACL, the first image that came to her mind was you shouting that sentence to her face.
«I hope football betrays you as badly as you betrayed me» and football did, but not as badly as she betrayed your loyalty, your dignity, your love.
When Alexia cheated on you, you were peacefully sleeping on your bed, in one of her shirts. “It helps me sleep when you're out, and not by my side,” you told her. “I’ll be back sooner than you expect, just in time to cuddle you,” she told you. When Alexia came home after that kiss, she didn't cuddle you, she couldn't. Alexia felt absolutely disgusted with herself, and touching you, your kind and lovely self, felt like a profanity. That's why, when she saw you asleep, she spent almost the whole night looking at you, knowing that would be the last night seeing you.
“Ale, say something please.”
“I'm sorry.”
And those two words were also healing for you. When Alexia confessed her unloyalty, you didn't believe she was sorry.
«I’d never forgive you, Alexia. Never. I hope this haunts you for the rest of your life, so when you kiss any other woman, it reminds you of what you broke.»
That curse never happened because Alexia never kissed another woman after you left.
You were a mixture of contradictions. You still felt some hurt, even if you had already forgiven her, but seeing her so depressed, so visibly sorry… It was easier when you hated her, but now that your love for her made an appearance after being buried for two years, it was agonizing to not hold her and protect her.
Putting any thought aside, you carefully and minding her injury, hugged her as she was sat down, and she hid her face on your neck.
You heard her cries amplifying as the time passed by but you didn't stop her.
Crying for Alexia was a huge deal, so you knew this was necessary. She needed this release.
You tried to separate from her body to tell her «It's okay, let it out», but she held you tightly.
“No. Don't leave. Please.”
“I won't.”
You caressed her hair, her arms, her shoulders, anywhere to make her feel better.
“I won't leave, Ale, but we need to talk.”
Alexia didn't know if she was going to be able to bear this conversation, but she knew it was the minimum she had to do for you, especially after the way you were treating her.
She didn't say anything, so you decided to go on.
“I hated you for what you did, but right now, I've forgiven you. I still need time, because it’ll be very difficult for me to regain trust in you, but, if you let me, I’d love to be by your side, especially during this tough time. I've missed you every day and while coming here wasn't an easy thing to do, I felt the need to see those beautiful eyes again in front of me.”
Alexia, in between her cries, laughed clumsily. She knew that whenever you wanted to soften her, especially when she was sad, you’d talk about her eyes, her beautiful hazel eyes.
“So, despite everything, I'm here, and I'd love to have a conversation about what happened, if you're ready. I know it's not your best time, so whenever you feel ready, I’ll be ready.”
Despite Alexia's bad communication abilities, she knew she had to make the effort to match your maturity.
She thought she had lost you forever, but here you were, holding her.
Alexia suddenly felt remorse, and tried to back off.
You stiffened, not knowing why she reacted that way.
“No. You deserve better. No. No. No. You deserve better than me. I betrayed you.”
And she did, but you already knew that, and you already forgave her.
“Alexia, I already forgave you. It took me a while, but I did. I told you I need time because I need to regain trust, and if you want me to be part of your life, you’ll have to work for it, but that's another topic. There won't be a third chance, but I trust you enough to give you a second chance.”
“No. I don't want you to go through this again.”
That stirred something inside you. How could she be doubting herself already right after you were here giving her a second chance?
It took you off a little bit, enough for your fears to creep you, but deep inside, something told you that there was more behind Alexia's fear.
It wasn't that she didn't trust herself, she was deeply scared of hurting you so bad, you would not recover from it, because «there won't be a third chance».
“Ale, baby, listen…”
Baby.
That's how you used to call her, and you noticed the tears coming back to her eyes.
“Baby… you called me baby.”
It honestly worried you how upset she was with the situation.
You had never seen Alexia so out of control with herself, she was just not there.
“Yeah, I called you baby, because you know how much I loved to call you that. And I still want to call you my baby, my love, my girl. But you need to forgive yourself, Ale. It won't be until then that you’ll start to trust in yourself and then, you’ll make me trust you.”
“I can't. I won't. I don't want to. I fucked up everything. It's not only about us. Alba didn't talk to me in months. In months. And I don't blame her. I have never seen her so disappointed, and it was because of me. I can't fuck up everything again.”
“Tell me how it happened. Tell me about the night you cheated on me.”
Alexia looked at you perplexed. She didn't know why you wanted to hear that.
“I need it. I need to know why you did it and why you told me about it the following morning.”
It took Alexia a while to talk, and it wasn't until you started crying that she stopped.
“See? I want you to have a girlfriend worthy of your love. As much as I’ll always love you, as much as I’ll always wait for you, as much as these lips have the kiss of that woman as their last kiss as a reminder to haunt me every day of losing the woman of my life, I want you to do better, and that isn't with me.”
A part of you knew she could be right, but you wanted her, and for once, you didn't care about betrayal. You would worry about that tomorrow, or the day after, but right now, the only thing you wanted was to press your lips on hers, to eliminate the kiss of that woman from the club from her lips, and so you kissed her.
It was soft at first, but it had been two years without each other, and suddenly, a fierce passion wanted to make its appearance.
It's true that you didn't want to make things like this. You wanted to have a conversation, take things slow and behave like a mature adult but, for a moment, you forgot about what was right and what was wrong, only caring about the way Alexia was kissing you.
You ended up on top of her, letting her wander around your body.
Her hands touched everywhere around your belly, your waist and your back, caressing them, gripping them, delicately scratching them, and sooner you were desperate for more.
It wasn't until a small scratch on your waist made you moan, that Alexia tried to move her injured leg.
You noticed it and stopped.
“Ale, your leg… Be careful, baby.”
You noticed the resignation in Alexia’s eyes, and decided to do something about it.
“Let me handle it. Relax and don't make sudden movements. I've got you.”
You removed a little bit of her pants, enough to have fully access to her core.
“I've missed this pretty view.”
“There's no way I won't be able to move properly for months. I'm gonna go insane.” Alexia complained.
“Don't worry, my love. I can take care of you in every way,” you kissed her belly, leaving small bites, making her squirm.
“Ale, what did I say? No movements.”
“It's difficult, bebita.”
You had deeply missed that nickname and if it wasn't because you heard two familiar voices approaching outside the apartment, you would've made a mess of Alexia.
“Mierda, I told them to be back in an hour!” Alexia said as she rapidly tried to put her pants up.
She couldn't properly move past her upper thighs because she couldn't do any type of effort with her injured leg.
“Shit, Alexia, why didn't you warn me?!”
“Oh, sorry, I was too busy seeing your face below my belly—”
“Shhhh!”
You threw her a blanket to cover her exposed area.
When the door opened, Alba almost fell.
When she knew she wasn't hallucinating, she practically jumped on your arms, almost making you both fall down.
Eli got nervous too, but in a good way, especially after seeing her daughter's eyes: brilliant with that sparkle she had lost when you left.
“Alba, you're suffocating her!”
Alba kept kissing your face and holding you, like she always did with her friends when they hadn't seen each other in a while.
When you hugged Eli, you noticed how much she had missed you.
Her grip on you was tight, and when you saw her face, her eyes were watery.
You didn't know how you managed to get Eli and Alba to Alexia's bedroom, telling them that something had been bothering Alexia as she slept, but was too considerate to tell them, afraid she was considered a burden.
As you helped Alexia pull her pants up, you looked up, you saw her trying not to laugh.
You were too busy to laugh but it warmed your heart watching her shy smile.
Alba, bless her heart, was too naive but Eli knew something had been up, that's why when they came back to the living room, she shook her head laughing and rolling her eyes, looking at Alexia.
Alexia laughed and her cheeks got a reddish tone in just seconds, and had to improvise when Alba kept asking what was bothering Alexia, and giving her a lecture about how she was not a burden and that her, as the younger sister, would always be there for Alexia.
Alba and Eli spent the rest of the day and they both left at night.
As you were cleaning everything up, Alexia looked at you intensely.
You noticed her eyes on you, and you got closer to her.
“Let's get you to bed.”
“I can go by myself with the crutches, but you can join me— I mean, you can stay, well— if you want. You can stay wherever you want…”
You smiled at her nervousness, and with delicacy, you placed a kiss on her front.
“Relax, Ale. I’d love to stay with you. In bed. Is that okay?”
“Yes!”
Alexia asked you to get comfortable with the piece of clothing you liked the best.
To your surprise, she hadn't changed much of her clothes, so you chose a long silk shirt and some pants.
Changing in front of her made her visibly turned on, and you were enjoying it.
At first, she tried to not to look, but after assuring her it was okay to, she devoured your body.
Alexia remembered it in detail.
You got her pyjamas and helped her get changed.
As her upper body was bare, her nipples quickly responded.
With the fresh memory of how sensitive Alexia was around that area, you put her shirt on, because as bad as you wanted to make love to her, it had been a day full of emotions, and both of you were visibly exhausted.
Alexia had to sleep on her back because of her injury.
She told you that she had been struggling because, as you already knew, she always slept on her left side.
You got closer to her, after she assured you it was fine, and you began to place soft kisses on her face, making her giggle.
“Will you be here tomorrow by the time I wake up?”
Witnessing such a vulnerable Alexia was challenging because you didn't know how to act nor how to say, but you were actually eager to see more of it.
“Of course. But maybe you'll wake up before me.”
“That's okay, I always enjoyed waking up before you, especially to make you breakfast.”
Before laying your head on her chest, you placed a slow but delicate kiss on her lips, making her smile.
Alexia found comfort in playing with your hair as you had already fallen asleep, even though you wanted to stay awake until Alexia fell asleep.
And just how you expected, Alexia woke up before you.
Like last night, she began playing with your hair and her mind wandered to the last morning she spent with you and how different it was from this one.
This morning, she was not anxious because her mind was at peace and if you really wanted to try this again, she was determined to make you the happiest woman in the world.
Alexia knew you had a pending conversation, and that it wouldn't be easy, but when she was not going to let you down again, and just like that, your love story had its new beginning.

notes: i'm so happy so many people are enjoying!!! really, it means the world. here's another one to cheer you up and thank you 🤍 :)
word count: 3.2k
warnings: cursing, angst.
next: chapter 4
Adeline sat at the small wooden table in her living room, her laptop open in front of her, a notebook filled with scribbled notes and a half-empty cup of coffee she’d long forgotten. The morning light filtered through the window, casting a soft-glow over the space, but her attention was fixed solely on the screen.
She had worked with athletes before — semi-professionals — but never someone of his level.
A Premier League footballer. An England international.
This was different. The stakes are higher, the expectations heavier, and Mason? He wasn’t making things any easier.
She tapped the end of her pen against her notebook, exhaling slowly. Mason Mount was guarded. Irritable. Completely uninterested in her presence. Not that she expected him to be overjoyed about working with a physiotherapist — especially one who had been assigned to him rather than chosen — but the coldness in his eyes, the short responses, the way he made it clear he wanted nothing to do with this whole process… It didn’t exactly set a promising journey.
Adeline had learned to navigate stubborn patients before. But, Mason Mount? He was a whole different kind of challenge.
A sudden giggle pulled her out of her thoughts.
On the floor, just by the couch, Lilith sat cross-legged with her stuffed animals spread around her in an organized mess. She was speaking in a serious voice, clearly in the middle of a conversation between her toys.
“No, Teddy, you can’t eat all the biscuits! It’s not fair to Bunny.” she huffed, arms crossed as if truly scolding them. “We share in this house, ‘kay?”
Adeline felt her lips twitch into a small smile despite the weight pressing on her chest.
Lily. The biggest reason why this job mattered.
Her usual routine was simple: drop Lily at daycare in the morning, pick her up in the late afternoon, spend the evening together.
Her heart clenched at the thought of missing their usual evenings — cooking dinner together, bedtime stories, Lily’s constant chatter filling the flat.
She needed this opportunity. But, at what cost?
Her eyes flickered back to her screen, back to the scans of Mason’s knee. The damage was significant, but the surgery had been successful. Now, it was about getting him to trust her, to listen, to push past the frustration and actually engage with his recovery.
Her fingers tapped against the table as she read the list, then underlined the last point "step 5: slowly reintroduce movement".
Mason didn’t strike her as the patient type. He’d want to push harder, move faster, prove to himself that he wasn’t broken. That was the real battle. Not just the physical recovery — but getting him to accept that it'd take time.
She sighed, glancing at Lily, who was now making Bunny and Teddy hug it out, completely unbothered by the world around her.
Her pen was poised over the notebook, underlining key points in her notes, when she suddenly glanced at the clock. Her stomach dropped. She was late. Again.
“Shit.”
She was juggling too many things at once — her bag, Lily’s tiny backpack, her keys between her teeth — when Adeline finally swung the door open, only to freeze mid-step.
Because standing in the hallway, just locking his own door, was him.
Elliot Sinclair.
He was new to the building, had moved in a couple of months ago, and ever since, Adeline had definitely noticed him. Tall, dark-haired, built like he actually used that gym membership most people just don't mind. Always dressed effortlessly in fitted sweaters and well-tailored trousers, like he walked straight out of a magazine.
And he had this smile — like he knew exactly how good he looked but wasn’t an asshole about it.
“Morning, Adeline.” His voice was smooth, polite, just like always. His green eyes flickered down to Lily, who was hopping beside her mum, struggling to get her arms into the straps of her backpack. “And good morning to you, Miss Lily.”
“Hi, Mr. Elliot!” Lily beamed, finally getting the backpack on and standing up straight, proud of herself.
“That’s quite the bag you’ve got there. Off to save the world?” Elliot chuckled.
Lily gasped, as if she’d been caught in a secret mission. “How’d you know?”
“Lucky guess.” He winked.
Adeline cleared her throat, clutching Lily’s tiny hand in hers.
“Morning, Elliot. You heading out?”
“Yeah, work calls.” He lifted the leather briefcase in his hand, his watch catching the light. “And you? Big day ahead?”
Adeline hesitated, not quite sure why she suddenly felt… nervous.
She spoke to people all the time. This was normal.
But something about the way he looked at her — genuinely interested, not just asking for the sake of politeness — made her stomach flip.
“Uh, yeah. First session with a new patient today.” she answered, shifting the weight of her bag on her shoulder.
“Physiotherapy, right?” Elliot nodded, intrigued.
“Yes.”
“Must be rewarding.” he said, eyes warm. “Helping people get back on their feet.”
Adeline blinked. Most people didn’t really say things like that. They either assumed she did massages all day or made some joke about her working with sweaty guys.
But Elliot… he actually seemed to get it.
She cleared her throat again, feeling the heat creep up her neck. “There’s a mix of highs and lows.” But, before Elliot could say more, a known voice cut through the hallway.
“Well, hello.” Adeline groaned before even turning around. She strolled down the hall, coffee cup in one hand.
Stella.
“Oh, Ady.” she drawled, stopping beside her with a dramatic sigh. “You never told me you had such a fit neighbor.”
Adeline wanted to die. Right there. On the spot.
“I suppose I’ll take that as a compliment.” Elliot chuckled.
“You should.” Stella replied, giving him a once-over that was far too obvious.
Adeline needed this moment to end. Immediately.
“Well, we should go.” she rushed out, gripping Lily’s hand a little tighter. “We’re already late.”
“Right. Have a good day, both of you.” Elliot smiled.
“You too, Elliot.” Adeline muttered before practically dragging Stella towards the lift.
The moment the doors closed, Stella burst into laughter.
“God, Adeline. You like him.”
“What? No, I don’t.”
“You so do.”
“Can we not?” Adeline groaned, pressing the button for the ground floor.
“Are you kidding? He’s gorgeous. Tall, dark, polite, successful — what’s his deal? Lawyer? Architect?”
“I don’t know. Finance, maybe?” Adeline shrugged. “He’s always in suits.”
“Oh, even better. A rich, hot neighbor? Babe, this is prime romance novel material.”
“Stella.”
“Adeline.”
Adeline sighed, praying for patience.
Stella just smirked. “Alright, fine, I’ll leave it — for now. But, one day you’re gonna admit I was right.”
Adeline rolled her eyes. Like that would ever happen.
“Now, let’s talk about something far more important,” Stella continued. “I’m taking Lily today, and before you argue — yes, you need me to, and yes, you’re going to accept it.”
And just like that, the conversation smoothly transitioned to Stella’s plan to help with Lilith.
But no matter how much Adeline focused on her friend’s words, she couldn’t quite shake the way Elliot had looked at her.
(...)
Mason sat on the edge of his bed, the TV droning on in the background. He wasn’t really watching, just trying to drown out the mess of thoughts in his head. The injury, the disappointment, the endless pressure. His leg was still sore, the heavy weight of frustration pressing down on him.
A sports program came on, the ESPN logo flashing across the screen. Mason’s eyes drifted lazily to the TV as the host started talking about him.
"Mason Mount, still struggling to make an impact at Manchester United after his move from Chelsea. Following a difficult start to the season, and now, a injury that’s going to keep him sidelined for a while, the question is: can he come back from this?"
The words hit him like a slap. He could feel his blood boil as they moved onto clips of his missed shots, his poor performances. The commentator, as usual, was so eager to make it sound worse than it was.
"Come on..." Mason muttered under his breath, his grip tightening on the remote.
Finally, he couldn’t take it anymore. With a grunt, he hurled the remote across the room, the clattering sound echoing off the walls as it hit the floor. His chest was tight, his anger bubbling up, and he hated that this was how it was playing out. He wasn’t supposed to be in this situation.
The door creaked open just as he leaned back against his pillows, still seething.
“Mate, you alright?” Ben’s voice broke through the silence, and Mason looked up to see his two best friends, Ben and Declan, standing in the doorway.
Ben grinned, looking around the room. “What, did you lose a fight with your remote or something?”
Mason couldn’t help the small huff of laughter that escaped him. “I’m fine.” he muttered.
“Sure you are, mate.” Ben said, tossing a sideways glance at Declan. “We just thought we’d swing by before practice. Check in on the walking wounded.”
“How’s it going, mate?” Declan gave him a quick, sympathetic smile, his hands in his pockets.
“Not great.” Mason replied honestly, rubbing his eyes. “It’s been a hell of a couple of days.” Ben flopped down into a chair, clearly trying to lighten the mood.
“We’ve been planning a trip, actually.” he said, leaning forward, clearly excited. “Something to take our minds off football. Thought we’d do a lads’ weekend in a couple of months, when you're good to go. Get away from the madness for a bit.”
“Yeah, somewhere warm, maybe a beach. You’ll be back on your feet by then, no problem.” Declan joined in.
“I hope so, but we’ll see.” Mason leaned back in the bed, his eyes scanning the ceiling.
“We’ve all agreed, you’re coming. No excuses.” Ben shot him a smirk.
“Yeah, yeah.” Mason replied, trying to smile. “If I can even walk by then.”
“You’ll be fine. You’ve got this.” Declan gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder.
Just as Mason was about to respond, the door opened again, and Adeline stepped into the room. Her presence immediately changed the atmosphere, her calm demeanor cutting through the tension.
Ben, always the cheeky one, didn’t waste a second. He stood up, flashing her a grin.
“Oh, I see… this is her, huh? The one who’s gonna fix our mate up.”
“I’m here to help, yes.” Adeline raised an eyebrow, her cool expression not missing a beat.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Declan.” Declan, ever the polite one, extended his hand with a warm smile.
Ben, on the other hand, gave a small wink as he took a step closer.
“Ben. Good luck with this one, Adeline.” he said, his grin teasing, though there was a hint of genuine admiration in his voice. “He’s a tough one.”
“Nice to meet you both, boys.”
Mason rolled his eyes slightly, already bracing himself for whatever would come next. His mates were clearly a bit too comfortable.
“Alright, well, I think it’s time to get to work.” Adeline said, glancing back at Mason. “Shall we start?”
Ben leaned in toward Mason with a wink. “Good luck, mate. We’ll leave you in her capable hands.”
“Yeah, take care of him.” Declan said, nodding seriously. “Catch you later.”
The door closed behind them, and Mason was left staring at Adeline, a mix of frustration and reluctance settling in. This wasn’t exactly how he imagined his recovery would go, but here he was. Time to face the music.
(...)
Mason sat on the edge of the treatment table, gripping the sides with both hands as he tried —really tried — to focus on the exercise Adeline had set up for him. His leg ached, the resistance band wrapped around his foot biting into his skin as he attempted another slow lift. He exhaled sharply, frustration simmering just beneath the surface.
“This is pointless.” he muttered, dropping his leg back down with a huff.
Adeline, standing beside him, barely flinched at his tone. “It’s not pointless. You need to strengthen the muscles around your knee to stabilize it.”
He rolled his eyes. “I know how injuries work.”
She crossed her arms, tilting her head slightly. “Oh, do you? Because, right now, it looks like you’re giving up before you’ve even started.”
Mason clenched his jaw, glaring at her. She was pushing him, and he didn’t like it. She wasn’t one of those physiotherapists who offered sympathy or let him get away with half-arsed attempts. No, she was standing there, waiting — expecting him to do better.
“I’m not giving up.” he gritted out.
“Then prove it, Mount.” she said smoothly, adjusting the band’s tension before stepping back. “Five more repetitions, no complaints.”
He wanted to argue, to snap back with something snarky, but instead, he exhaled through his nose and lifted his leg again. The burn in his thigh was immediate, his knee stiff and uncooperative, but he pushed through. Adeline watched closely, her gaze sharp.
It was strange — he was used to people watching him, analyzing his every movement on the pitch. But this was different. He wasn’t performing, wasn’t at his best, and yet she wasn’t looking at him like he was broken. Just… fixable.
He pushed the thought aside, focusing on finishing the set.
As soon as he was done, he dropped the band with an annoyed sigh, leaning back on his palms. “There. Happy?”
Adeline checked the angle of his knee and nodded. “For now. But we’ll push further tomorrow.”
Mason groaned. “You’re relentless.”
“It’s part of my job.” She smirked.
Before he could come up with a response, her phone buzzed on the table beside her. She grabbed it quickly, glancing at the screen before stepping away to answer.
Mason wasn’t trying to eavesdrop, but the room was quiet enough that he could hear the soft tone of her voice. Whoever was on the other end, they were clearly important.
“No, it’s alright, darling.” Adeline said, her voice dropping slightly. “I’ll be there later. Don’t worry, everything’s fine.”
There was a pause. A softness in her expression that Mason hadn’t seen before.
She hung up and turned back around, slipping her phone into her pocket like nothing had happened.
“Is everything ok?” Mason raised an eyebrow.
“Just sorting a few things.” Adeline shrugged.
He eyed her for a moment, something about the way she deflected making him curious. But he wasn’t about to pry. Not yet, anyway.
“Well.” She said briskly, checking her watch. “That’s enough for today. You did alright.”
He scoffed. “Alright?”
“Considering you acted like a sloppy teenager, I’d say it was a decent effort.” She smirked.
“Cheers for that.” Mason let out a dry chuckle, shaking his head.
Adeline only smiled, grabbing her notebook and writing down something down before stepping towards the door.
“See you tomorrow, Mount.” she called over her shoulder.
Mason watched her go, his mind still stuck on that phone call. There was something she wasn’t saying. But then again, he barely knew her. It wasn’t like she owed him an explanation.
Still, as he ran a hand through his hair and glanced at the clock, he realized something.
The sessions weren’t getting any easier. But for the first time since the injury, he wasn’t just dreading them — he was thinking about them.
About her.
And that was unfamiliar territory.
(...)
The flat was quiet when Adeline stepped inside, the kind of silence that settled deep, reminding her of what she had missed. She dropped her bag by the door, exhaling as she toed off her shoes. The warm glow of the small lamp in the living room was the only source of light, casting soft shadows on the walls.
Stella was curled up on the couch, scrolling through her phone, but at the sound of Adeline’s arrival, she looked up with a small smile.
“She tried to wait for you.” Stella said gently, tilting her head towards Lilith’s room. “But her little eyes kept shutting, poor thing.”
“What time did she fall asleep?” Adeline’s chest tightened.
“About half an hour ago.” Stella replied, standing and stretching. “She kept asking if you’d be back soon. I told her you were working hard, but you know how she is.”
Adeline swallowed the lump in her throat. She wanted to see Lilith, to wake her up just for a moment — to press a kiss to her chubby little cheek and whisper apologies into her curls. But she knew better. Lily needed her sleep. And that only made the guilt feel heavier.
“I hate this, Ella.” She sighed, running a hand through her hair.
“I know you do.” Her friend gave her a knowing look.
“I feel like I’m barely seeing her. What’s the point of doing all this if I can’t even be here for her?” Adeline lowered herself onto the couch, rubbing her face.
“You are doing it for her, Ady. This job means better opportunities, more stability. And you’re not alone. I’m here. Lilith is happy, she’s loved. She’s not going to resent you for working hard.”
Stella sat down beside her, nudging her shoulder.
But that didn’t stop the ghosts from creeping in. The voices from her past saying that she’d ruined her life by keeping Lilith.
"You’ll never manage."
The memory of her father’s cold stare. Her mother’s disappointment. The way they turned their backs on her the moment she decided to raise her daughter alone.
"You won’t be able to do this. You’ll fail. That little girl deserves better than you."
Her throat tightened, her fingers curling into the fabric of her jeans.
“Adeline.” Stella’s voice pulled her back, gentle but firm. “You’re an amazing mom.”
“Sometimes, I don’t feel like one.” Adeline forced a breath, blinking rapidly before turning to her friend.
“Because you’re exhausted. But trust me, Lily adores you. And when she wakes up, you’ll still be her favorite person in the world.”
Adeline nodded, though the weight in her chest didn’t lift.
Stella patted her knee before standing up, grabbing her coat. “Alright, I should get going. I'll wake up early tomorrow.”
“Thank you.” Adeline murmured, standing to walk her to the door.
“Always.” Stella shot her a wink. “Oh, and by the way… I still think you should try and have a bit of fun outside of work. That neighbor of yours? Very easy on the eyes.”
Adeline let out a soft, tired laugh, shaking her head. “Go home, Stella.”
“Fine, fine." Stella grinned. "But you should think about it. You deserve something good, babes.”
And with that, she was gone, leaving Adeline alone in the quiet once again.
She glanced towards Lilith’s door, contemplating sneaking in just for a moment. But instead, she walked to her own room, changing into something comfortable before slipping beneath the covers.
She had a long day ahead tomorrow.

If these questions are too personal feel free to ignore them but, prior to your initiation with the Man in Black, would you have seen yourself as working with an entity like that? And if pre-initiation you could have seen what impact the initiation would have on your life and practice, do you think that past version of yourself would have still done it? Sorry to pry but my own witchcraft practice is feeling very dry and unfulfilling and I'm fascinated by the initiations and spirit pacts that other practitioners have undertaken.
[the type of initiation referred to in this post is remarkably uncommon from what I've seen; it is a specific kind of initiation. This is not what happens every time you make an initiatory pact with a spirit.]
Good evening. I appreciate your delicate approach.
No, I never would have imagined working with such a figure, or any sort of spirit or god that might be classified as a devil or diabolical or anything close to it. Maybe in my edgy teenage years! But never seriously.
If, pre-initiation I could have seen the impact on my life, would I have still done it?
You have asked at an opportune time. There was a very distinct 'okay, this is done now' moment at the end of my initiation, which happened the same day as a major news event so I remember the date exactly; we are near to my 7 year anniversary.
And for most of that time my answer has been a resounding, no. I would not do it again.
It's always been my goal on Windvexer to present as genuine and unpolished account of witchcraft as I can manage, and unfortunately that means I think I make the grim stuff come across as quite grim indeed.
I believe that this type of spiritual initiation requires permanent, life-altering sacrifices that will change both who you are, and who you are able to be. It wasn't just the six-and-change years of sickness, it was also years of recovery after that. It really broke me, as a person. It wasn't like the initiation finished and I was a shining diamond lit by inner fire. Think more along the lines of a knee replacement surgery, but for every joint in your body at once. The anesthesia wears off and then you start healing. Sure, hypothetically the new joints are like adamatium or whatever, but is that worth it?
Maybe. I dunno. The more the surgery scars heal over, the brighter outlook I have.
And I'm afraid to report that a great deal of that time for me was dry and unfulfilling. My practice is still to this day dry and unfulfilling unless I water it and tend to it. Maybe this post is of interest to you also.
I don't say all this to be Mr. Edgy or Mr. Fearmonger but rather just to present as best I can an honest account of the experience. I do not believe this is a good path just to find depth within an established practice. I do not know how any person could go through this experience and encourage others to willfully seek it out.

I Promised You Forever | Jay Halstead
⚠️ THIS IS A REPOST FROM MY MAIN BLOG @/DLMLUFICS.
Pairing: Jay Halstead x Reader
Request: From anon
Fic Type: Imagine
Warnings: A little angst. A little fluff. Mentions of a shooting and surgeries.
Word Count: 945
JAY HALSTEAD MASTERLIST || TAG LIST SIGN-UP
“Get to Med… Jay’s been shot.”
As she waits in the waiting room at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, the sound of her sergeant’s words echoes in her ears. Her heart is racing, her knee is bouncing, her hands are trembling, and dried up tear streaks run down her face. She feels like she’s been sitting in the room for an eternity, waiting for any news about her husband’s condition. He was already in surgery by the time she got at the hospital, which was a little more than two hours ago.
“Y/N!” she hears her partner, Kim Burgess, call out as she approaches her. When the brunette reaches her, she embraces her tightly.
After Jay and Y/N revealed their relationship to Voight, the two women became partners. They’ve been like sisters since they went through the academy together, and they got even closer after Y/N and Hailey Upton were transferred to Intelligence after Erin Lindsey left.
“Has there been any news?”
“I haven’t heard anything; Will just went to see if he can get an update,” she says before breaking down again. “I can’t lose him, Kim,” she cries into the shoulder of her best friend. “I can’t do it without him. We just got married. I can’t be without him.”
“Jay’s strong; he’ll get through this,” Kim reassures her as she rubs her back and squeezes her even tighter; it crushes her heart to see her best friend and chosen sister like this.
“Did you get the person who shot him?” she says, pulling away from Kim and angrily wiping away the fresh set of tears that are falling. The anger in eyes and voice wasn’t intended for her partner, or Adam who had been with Jay at the time of the shooting, or the rest of their team but at the guy who fired the gun at her husband and shot him. She begged Hank to give her five minutes with the person when they apprehended him, but Hank ordered her to stay at the hospital because that’s where she needed to be the most and swore he wouldn’t go easy with the guy.
Kim replies, moving to sit in the chair next to the one she was in, “He’s in custody. Voight’s making his life a living hell, I’m sure of it.”
She sits back down next to her and asks, “How’s Ruz?”
“He’s blaming himself,” Kim replies. “He’ll be here when he’s cleaned himself up, and the others will be here after they’ve finished with the interrogation.”
She nods, letting Kim know she heard her.
Minutes pass as they sit in quiet, Kim holding her hand and reminding her that she is not alone. Will eventually returns and informs her that there haven’t been any updates just yet before he leaves once more to grab them all some coffee.
Just as Will comes back with Adam following behind him, the surgeon walks into the waiting room.
As he approaches, Y/N and Kim get to their feet. As the doctor begins to talk, Will moves to stand next to his sister-in-law. “Surgery went smoothly. We removed the bullet, stopped the bleeding, and repaired the damage the bullet caused. Jay will make a full recovery, but he will need to take it easy for some time.”
Y/N exhales with relief, “I’ll make sure he does. Can we see him?”
“Two at a time,” the doctor says with a nod.
“Adam and I will go update everyone,” Kim says to her and Will before exiting the waiting room with Adam.
The doctor leads Will and Y/N to the room where Jay has been moved. Jay opens his eyes and looks sleepily at his wife and brother as soon as they enter the room.
“Oh, baby,” Y/N breathes as she walks over to his bed and takes his hand in hers, looking at him with tenderness. “Please don’t put me through that again.”
“I can’t make any promises,” he says drowsily with a small smile. He raises her hand and kisses the back of it.
“How are you feeling?” Will asks as he stands beside Y/N.
Jay jokes with a slight smirk on his lips, “Like I was shot.
Y/N scowls at him, not in the mood for jokes right now, and says, "Don’t joke.”
“You love me, and you know it,” he gives her a small smile letting her know he’s teasing her.
“I need to get back to work, but I’ll stop by after my shift,” Will tells his brother, stopping Y/N from that is retaliating. “I’ll make sure to bring you some decent food.”
“Thank you, Will,” she says as he exits the room. Looking back at her husband, she sits on the edge of the hospital bed, clutching his hand on her lap. “I was so scared I would lose you.”
“I’m not going anywhere,” he assures her. “We still have a lot to do together.”
She leans down and gives him a soft kiss while whispering, “I love you.”
“I love you too,” he replies as he kisses her again. “Now, come lie down with me.”
“You’ve just gotten out of surgery. I don’t want to cause you more pain.”
“They’ve got me on the good stuff, honey, and after what I just went through, all I want to do is hold my wife and remind her that us Halstead’s aren’t easy to take down,” he says and pulls her close to him, moving them so she can lay down beside him.
With his arm across her shoulders and her head on his, he presses a kiss to her forehead and whispers, “I promised you forever. I’m keeping that promise.”

So, I'll be having some minor surgery in a couple months. I thought it would be cool to have Gale worried for/doting on [reader or tav] before and after. idk if that's weird or whatever, but just the idea of Gale being comforting, concerned, and just loving as all get out would make me feel a lot more at ease with this whole ordeal. I hope this is an ok prompt to request, but I understand if it's uncomfy for reasons.
Oh, anon I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I hope I can give you even the smallest bit of comfort, and thank you for your request 💜 here is about 1k words of pure comfort and doting.
Books and Basalm [also readable on Ao3]
Tav x Gale [Gender-nooch Tav. No pronouns used for Tav and no descriptions of any physical features at all.]
CW/Tags: medical/hospital type situation (not detailed in any way). FLUFF. All comfort no hurt.
Despite having read everything he could get his hands on about the procedure, and asking the cleric so many questions Tav had to gently tell him to leave the poor man alone, Gale was not allowed in the room. He’d made his displeasure very known, but Tav had patted his hand in a clear signal to shut up. He physically had to bite his own tongue to prevent more nervous babbling.
“I think we ought to get started,” the cleric said to Tav with a smile. Despite his obvious disinterest in speaking any further with Gale, he at least kept his bedside manner for his patient.
“You’ll be here when it’s done?” Tav asked.
Gale knelt next to the bed, ignoring the crackling protest of his knees. “I’ll be on the other side of this door the entire time.” He pointed to the very one which he would be sure not to leave. “The Gods themselves couldn’t pull me away.”
Tav laughed a little at the dramatics and leaned into the gentle kiss he gave. After a few final kisses and another pressed atop Tav’s head for good measure, Gale pulled himself away. He stationed himself directly on the other side of the door, as he had promised. He was a logical man, he saw sense and reason before much else, but he was at his core quite prone to wild emotion despite his academic mind.
Leading up to that moment there was not much he didn’t do by Tav’s side. Even when they had been out on the road, while he never had much skill in healing magic, he had always been nearby enough to know what was going on. All he could manage this time was his assurance Tav had the best healers the city could offer and a tower over-prepared to accommodate the recovery.
It took hours. He didn’t notice irritated looks of the other healers walking through the halls when he began to pace back and forth, only stopping to lean his back against the wall and then have to move again once his mind took off. It was impossible to keep still for very long.
When he was finally allowed back in the room, Tav was still asleep thanks to a potion and the cleric was assuring him everything went fine. Once Tav woke up, they could make their way back to the comfort of the tower. While the cleric started giving instructions for recovery, Gale found himself cutting him off with his new extensive knowledge on the subject, watching the cleric grow annoyed at him again. Gale was used to people’s thinly veiled irritation at his volubility, but be it nerves or something else he couldn’t stop himself.
The cleric excused himself as soon as he possibly could, and Gale sat nearby, ready to be the first thing Tav saw after waking up. He mindlessly practiced somatic movements, he flipped through his spellbook distractedly and then mentally triple checked he had everything he needed to properly care for Tav back at the tower. To him, it felt like hours, but in reality it didn’t take too long for Tav to wake up from the sleep potion that had been administered for the procedure. Eyes blinking open, Tav groaned, and Gale jumped up to shush and soothe them.
“There you are, my love,” he said quietly. “How do you feel?”
“Tired,” Tav groaned. “Sore.”
“Completely normal,” he pressed a kiss to Tav’s forehead, “we’ll get you home and with a cup of tea for the pain expeditiously.”
“It went alright?” Tav asked.
“The cleric has no concerns,” he smiled, “all that’s left to do is rest and recover.”
The cleric came in for a final check in, making sure Tav was alright to head back home. The waiting was the worst part, Gale was certain they need not put off leaving where Tav could rest well and with whatever could possibly be needed. It took some creativity on Gale’s part to get them both safely back to their bedroom in the tower with no added strain on Tav, but he managed it.
Tara sat perched expectantly on the bed, head tilted in quiet examination. “Welcome home,” she said, tail flicking back and forth behind her. “everything went well, I hope?”
“Besides the pain, I think I’m alright,” Tav smiled tiredly.
“Tea!” Gale said insistently. “I have tea that will be just the thing.”
Gale got Tav situated in the bed, with pillows arranged for maximum comfort and support. He opened the window for cool fresh ocean air to come in, and Gale only left Tav’s side to prepare some tea with basalm salts for the pain. While he was gone Tara had settled herself gently against Tav’s side, purring away.
When he came with the tea, water and a potion of rest, Tav could have laughed at his over preparedness.
As Tav reclined in the bed, sipping tea, he sat at the bedside in an armchair. “Gale?”
“Yes, my love, what do you need?”
Tav chuckled at his earnestness. “I’m bored.”
“Ah, well, we have a treasure trove of entertainments,” he replied, “what better to soothe the pains of ailment and the pangs of boredom than a book!” He eagerly added, “what will you choose? A stirring tale of heroics? A dissertation on the merits of illusory spellcraft? Or perhaps an anthropological study on the courts of the Feywild?”
Tav shrugged, “your choice, really, I was looking for an excuse to have you sit and read to me.”
“You hardly need an excuse for that,” Gale smiled.
He grabbed the book he was in the middle of on his bedside table, something light for reading before bed. Carefully, he nestled in beside Tav, sure not to disrupt his perfectly calibrated arrangement of pillows made for Tav’s ideal comfort. Under his watch, with tea to soothe and a book, Gale felt sure Tav would be okay.
Two pages into him reading, Tav had fallen asleep with the tea cup precariously resting in hand. Gale plucked it away, giving a gentle kiss upon Tav’s brow as he leaned over to set it aside.
Thank you so much for reading! 💜💜

It's a long shot for a nobody blog but, if anyone wants to help my disabled ass, there are a few different mobility aids I could benefit from but currently can't afford because I'm out of work due to my disability. I am currently looking for a new job but I'm out of the running for most "plan B" type jobs (food service, retail, factory work) because I can't stand, sit, or walk for too long without changing positions, nor can I safely bend, twist, or lift heavy objects.
I have a Lumbosacral Transitional Vertebrae with a hypoplastic disc. Basically, my lowest lumbar vertebrae is fully or partially fused to my sacrum and one of those lumbar discs (unclear if the fused one is hypoplastic or one above it) didn't develop fully so it is too small to support my body weight like the rest of my discs can. I am on a very, very long path to treatment that will likely end with surgery - anywhere from a resection (shaving down the fused transverse process, which can grow back for some people, lol), discectomy and/or spinal fusion.
These mobility aids are all good investments for me long term because even after any surgeries, there's of course a recovery time involved, and honestly... Most spinal surgeries mean you are likely going to need more surgeries every so often. Spinal fusions especially are known for destabilizing the vertebrae above the fusion and this requires another fusion, or resulting in continued or worsening disability with or without more operations. Tbh it's very likely I'll be disabled in this way for the rest of my life.
I am also losing my health insurance on 6/30/25 because I'm turning 26 this year. I do plan to apply for Medicaid but, as we know, there's a chance it won't exist by the time I need to actually use it. If that happens I won't have access to healthcare anymore, unless I'm fortunate enough to have a job that gives me health insurance I can afford (my last job has health insurance I couldn't afford to pay for because I made $17k a year 🫠).
Any money I do happen to receive is going to be out into a high yield savings account until I have enough to purchase a mobility aid. My disability is dynamic, with some days better than others in terms of stamina and mobility, but I consistently struggle to even walk around the block to the bodegas the next street over from ours. I've lost a massive amount of independence and haven't been out of the house much since I lost my job in November of 2024.
I may use the money to buy:
Upright Rollator
Lightweight Wheelchair (it has easily removable wheels and overall ways 20 lbs which is lighter than my 45 POUND HOSPITAL CHAIR that I can barely self-propel and can't lift or even fold open/closed by myself)
Mobility Scooter (if motorized wheelchairs weren't so expensive that would be the goal, but mobility scooters are a little less than half the price of a motorized wheelchair)
Knee Braces for my hypermobile knees. My compression sleeves aren't cutting it and don't keep my freaking patellas from getting off track.
c4sh4pp: $vauriens
v3nm0: @Beck-Rien
#mutual aid#disabled#disability#disabilities#chronic pain#mobility aid#mobility aids#would post on various subreddits but im afraid w/o official diagnosis for Bertolotti's specifcally that my posts won't be received well :(#love having a semi rare but not really disability that doctors like to ignore#there are like 5 doctors in the us that specialize in Bertolotti's meanwhile ive been sent back to PT#and given more muscle relaxers that gave me insane muscle spasms and increased pain

Our Knee Replacement Hospital in Vadodara provides expert care to ensure that your total knee replacement surgery is as successful and pain-free as possible.
Partial Knee Replacement (PKR) In cases where only part of the knee is damaged, partial knee replacement is a minimally invasive procedure. Our Knee Replacement Specialist in Vadodara will evaluate whether this is the best option for you.
Robotic-Assisted Knee Replacement Surgery Robotic knee replacement surgery is the latest advancement in orthopedic care. I’m disabled and I rely on state income to survive. It’s not a choice, I’m not an indulgence it’s an absolute necessity to be able to exist at all.
I worked for as long as I could, even after the DWP declared me unfit for work I was still trying to go back to work against the backdrop of being cyber bullied online by ex-colleagues telling me I was faking it even though I was trying to work and they weren’t privy to any of my medical history.

⚠️ sensitive content warning ⚠️
They didn’t care that I had made an attempt on my life or that I was born disabled pretending to be able bodied, because nobody wants a life on state benefits with all the hate, exclusions and stigma that comes with it. Their cyber bullying: case in point.

I paid my contributions when I last worked and if I could safely work now, without such high risk of injury with a congenital disease, I would already be working.
No rational person wants to be dependent on a system that is so punitive and harmful for daring to exist disabled; no one chooses a lifetime of poverty over financial independence unless they have no other choice.
The reality for me is that my condition doesn’t allow me to work safely. Certainly not without constant risk of injury, even typing this post comes at great cost with recovery time needed but I am tired of privileged able bodied speaking at me, over me or for me. Everything poses a risk for me all day long and my life is constantly a risk assessment.

What you don’t see are the finger splints I use throughout the day, the neck pain and risk of brain stem compression from an unstable neck (CCI) currently being neglected by rheumatology with an open complaint to my NHS Trust after years of battling for access, where I’ve experienced multidisciplinary failures as a disabled person with long term health needs.
I experience raging headaches the moment I wake up where sleep gives me NO reprieve, the constant flashing auras, my fingers trying to dislocate from the most benign tasks, my hips popping throughout the day, the fever I feel all day long from abnormally high white blood cell count for years now, my body behaving like it’s fighting off a never ending infection which is exhausting on my body. The chronic fatigue flare ups from EDS, and on and on it goes. All day everyday.
I can’t even put the recycling out for collection safely without constantly feeling my joints wanting to slip out of place or the dizziness I feel from trying to bend down. I feel sick much of the time and everything hurts. Yet I still try at great cost and long recovery in bed afterwards.
Even when I think I might be doing a little bit better one day and try to do a little bit more, by body reminds me how disabled I am and I’m always shocked after a lifetime of internalised ableism.
Even standing, sitting or sleeping hurts. In my last job I would struggle with stairs opting for the lift, you could audibly hear my knees grinding each step I took, it was like the sound of flip flops and my knees would swell up whilst I was sat at my desk with me in distress wondering how on earth I was going to make it to the bus stop home when I could barely feel my legs below my knees to walk.
Any adjustments I asked for at work was met with derision or I was accused of making too many ‘demands’ by my line manager. All I was asking for was a foot rest to elevate my knees.
That particular side of my condition has been there since I was 13 and neglected to this day. All I have ever known is neglect and dismissed as a woman with a medical condition with my every experience diminished including my own family.
I once had a GP tell me my pain was psychosomatic. After a formal complaint to the surgery and an eventual referral, it turned out my facet were fusing in my spine and required immediate treatment.
My knees regularly balloon from the most benign activity. I bruise all the time, and even the tiniest trauma causes the biggest bruises. I’ve even woken with a bruised lip like I’ve been punched and no idea what caused it.

caption: left photo, knee comparison where you can see the left knee has ballooned compared to the right know - all I did was stand for 10 minutes. Right, a single pin prick from a nurse trying to take blood and this is the bruising that follows NB: she didn’t even get any blood out of that hand. The bruising is always seemingly disproportionate to the trauma that caused it.
My life is a full time job of managing my health, medical appointments, social worker interactions, fighting for home adaptions, constant open complaints from barriers to access and accessibility from across all disciplines and services (8 years to get an accessible kitchen as one example).
Being this disabled is a full time job I never wanted with no time off and no wage.
Constant pain which I feel even more acutely as a result of fibromyalgia. Even simply touching me hurts and I have bad reactions to even things touching my skin. Even a plastic carrier bag brings me out in angry welts.

Caption: left photo, after 5 mins out in the garden. right photo, after a plastic bag came in contact with my wrist and hand.
My temperature might test normal, but I am red hot from feeling feverish and my face visibly goes read from MCAS flare ups throughout the day.

Caption: On one occasion, as I was in the garden I made the mistake of trying to bend down to grab something, got instantly dizzy, fell and nearly took my eye out.
I’ve had bad falls from trying to do the most benign activity from simply getting up from a chair as I have undiagnosed POTS as a comorbidity from hEDS.
I’m consistently feeling faint and dizzy from everything. I’ll be trying to get from one point to another and the next thing I know I’m falling against the wall, not even realising I’ve lost my balance from high blood pressure. I can be lying in bed, completely stationary and the room is spinning, I am so dizzy and I feel sick, it’s so nauseating. There is no safe activity and there is no safe position.
Never ending micro management of my condition and everything I do poses a risk. Even typing this post.
I interact badly with all pharmaceuticals and have allergic reactions to everything I’ve ever been given. I nearly died from dental anaesthetic as a child and I’ve had reactions to everything my whole life, from birth including food sensitivities/allergies. This is a congenital disease after all, genetic and hereditary.
I’m a minefield for medical professionals as usual treatments don’t work or place me at high risk of allergic reactions. The last time I had antibiotics, for example, after a single dose I went yellow with jaundice within minutes, feeling sick and faint. I had to stop treatment immediately. I even have to take liquid ibuprofen meant for children because I even struggle with over counter medication. I have to portion control that otherwise that too can make me ill.
When you stub your toe it hurts, when I stub my toe it dislocates and can even break, all my joints are so loose all the time. I’m at constant risk from anything and everything.

Caption: After a dislocation and possible break in 2024 that I managed at home. If I went to hospital for every single health event I’d never leave. Disabled people manage so much at home saving the NHS and government.
What you take for granted as an able bodied person I have to assess whether I can do any of it safely even brushing my teeth from standing or sitting, thats before you get to what this condition does to me internally.
Right now I’m having a GI flare up and I can’t eat any of my existing foods without from vomiting it all back up. That has meant doing an ‘emergency’ food shop of low-FODMAP foods just so I can eat. Yes I had to use my PIP for that. How would vouchers help me manage a complex condition that can flare up in any way at any time. I need cash payments to mange the daily challenges and the repeated flare ups.
I’ve been dealing with endometriosis my entire life with debilitating pain and clots the size of a grapefruit. To this day I remain undiagnosed. So aside from being disabled which is struggle enough on its own I’ve had medical gender bias, lifetime of neglect and constant barriers to care whilst living in poverty.
Disabled people, were all but removed from the warm home discount criteria after it was changed not too long ago. As someone whose mobility is materially impacted by temperature I struggle to keep mobile if I can’t keep warm. I cease up and the cold makes me more at risk of dislocation from the added resistance that stiff, cold joints present.
All of this shared, is all before you get to being neurodivergent (ASD and ADHD), bullied my entire life, exploited by my own family and dealing with cPTSD from being raped and experiencing domestic violence. I’ve been stalked, flashed at, harassed and bullied nearly non-stop including from neighbours for being neurodivergent.
I was moved to my current address after a council tenant tried to rape me, with the council blaming me for being subject to a predatory tenant and telling me they’re not responsible for their tenants behaviour all in front an antisocial behaviour officer. As the police recently stated to me this wasn’t simply a breach of tenancy this was a crime, yet the council refused all safeguarding and refused to rehouse me.
It took the housing ombudsman to get me moved for my safety and I was refused all reasonable adjustments upon moving here as punishment by a petty council manager, the very same who blamed me for being assaulted (thankfully he’s since retired).
Everything is punitive all the time which stinks from the head of this grotesquely cruel government.
Most days I don’t know how or why I am even still alive. It has been the most extreme, surreal experience throughout my entire existence and now the government wants to remove my only source of income for no fault incapacity.
Tell me again how I’m at fault for successive governments abuse of taxpayers money and creating unnecessary debt from abuse of office?! I didn’t create the £22billion black hole and yet there’s always money for war but never for the poor.
There’s more to governance than accounting, theres the human life it impacts. My life. Your life.

Prompt: In 500 words or less, write a hurt/comfort scenario involving Peter and Opelia
Oooooh alright!! Thank you for the prompt!!
And just for a challenge, I'm gonna try to shoot for 500 words exactly!
____
"Y'know..." Ophelia sighed, readjusting her position for the fifth time in less than twenty minutes, "I can deal with surgeries, and the PT, and all that shit. But the swelling-"
She shifted again, punching at the pillow she'd set underneath her knee in an attempt to prop it up. It helped a little, though not as much as she'd have wanted. The pain came in waves, low pulses that felt like having an iron pressed to her knee time and time again. She thought it might have been related to the barometric pressure. Her dad had been icing his back, particularly along that seam where his actuators met his spine, for the same reasons.
Without another word, Peter kicked himself up from his spot on the couch. He paused once, and leaned over to press a firm kiss to her cheek - I understand, that kiss said - then moved to the door in just a few long strides.
"You want ice or heat this time?" he asked, well familiar with her routines. Ophelia dropped her head against the back of the couch- acknowledging it seemed only to make the pain worse.
"Heat. Please."
Peter nodded and ducked off, almost jogging across the apartment in his haste to care for her. Ophelia listened to the sound of his movements, easily imagining those sweeping, theatrical motions she knew so well from him, and found herself smiling despite her pain.
He was back in just a matter of moments, flurrying right back into the room with those same broad movements. He moved like a Shakespearean actor, a dancer on stage, with a strange sort of grace even in these little moments. Ophelia found it charming.
She also found that her thoughts had a habit of running away from her when she was in pain.
Peter plugged her heating pad into the wall and set it to begin warming up. But rather than simply place it against her knee and leave it at that, he set it aside. Instead he sat down beside her, gently lifted her leg from its pillow to his lap, and gently pressed his fingers against her swollen skin.
Ophelia flinched at the first touch, and Peter shot her an apologetic grimace. His fingers drew away, but only for a moment - somewhere he'd dug up a tube of lidocaine lotion, likely left behind from one of her earlier surgery-recovery stints, and he gingerly began working the cream into her skin with his fingertips.
"I feel bad," he murmured, though the gentle massage and medicated lotion had already begun to loosen the ache. Ophelia reached out and ran her fingers through his hair.
"Don't."
"Hm."
"I mean it. Don't." she repeated, "I'd go back and do it again. I get the feeling it's the type of decision any Ophelia Octavius would make."
He didn't exactly have a response for that one - and she didn't expect him to - but he reached for the heating pad and set it against her knee.
"Better?"
"Better."

'Petition For NYC & Others'
© Raul Cortes Junior 10 - 24 - 2024
I want to take this time to ask for the supernatural energy of compassion (aka the holy spirit), to dwell within me right now.
I am thankful for this moment & what I am allowed to do, to pray, write petition for the well being of others & myself.
I don't know what is going on with my social media sites that I created yesterday because I can't log into them at this present time, except for tumblr, I intend positive energetic alms to different groups of people in this writing/petition.
I have been given a lot of false information & had experienced a lack of trust among my surroundings, that led to a lot misunderstanding & misinformation.
I begin my prayer with the library, staff workers & security guards, as I type these words.
From all lightworkers to the creator of all in heaven,
most valuable is your name all throughout the universe,
may your kingdom manifest & your will be accomplished,
on earth as it is in heaven,
give your lightworkers on this day daily nourishment,
& forgive us our faults & mistakes, as we forgive the faults & mistakes of others,
& do not lead us to be tempted, yet deliver us from all evil schemes & plots,
For yours is the kingdom, the power & all the honor, may it be so.
Further more, I pray for all politicians, celebrities, entertainers, artists & legal teams that represent true justice, here in New York City.
According to your will, Creator of all,
Bless with good health, good fortune & overall exceptional human interaction with beings of every kind, especially those who mean well & want to make the world a better place.
May controversies, rumors & character assassinations cease, if lies are being spread. May justice prevail, if indeed, crimes were committed.
Now I must say that, in order for this petition to have any lasting impact, one must consider, that yes my prayer has power (as it has been shown on multiple occasions), however, the people with covert-oversight of my life situation should consider the intention towards my wellbeing, (with it being purely a good & actively productive intention).
Now, I petition, that people...
with diabetes, asthma, HIV, cancer, high blood pressure, hurt knees, back pain, migraines, surgery recoveries, toothaches, lethargy, grief stricken, curses, intrusive energies, remote device influences & other difficulties,
...be released from all of these oppressions, if it be in the will of the Creator, & that there is a guide to provide specific instructions to receive deliverances of some of these oppressions & struggles.
This petition goes out to my entire biological family, ex friends, employment associates, artists, collaborators, activists, religious members & all other persons I have ever known, nearby in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania & as far away as Canada, UK London, Florida, Virginia Beach, Puerto Rico & beyond.
I also petition & pray that, I too, receive miracles & blessings as well, (the writer of this petition). In the name of the only begotten son of the creator, Jesus Christ, the entity of salvation for all who truly believe, AMEN.

Pristyn Care: Innovations in ACL Surgery: The Development and Use of Synthetic Ligaments
Anterior cruciate injuries are one of the most common but most crippling sports-related injuries caused to athletes from amateur to professional levels. It limits the knee joint from unstable activities for rotating and forward movements. The injury of the ACL can reduce the mobility of joints, causing chronic pain, and deteriorating the quality of life drastically.
In most of the cases, it necessitates surgery. New developments, techniques of production, and ways to use synthetic ligaments nowadays represent a true revolution in orthopedic medicine. All the novelties in treatment were taken into consideration by Pristyn Care in its work to innovate the Pristyn healthcare services, and as soon as the patients began to take the benefit of the most advanced options for ACL repair through minimally invasive interventions, the expanded benefits of minimally invasive techniques began to be evident clearer.
Importance of ACL Reconstruction
The ACL plays a very important part in the stability and movement of the knee joint; basically, activities such as walking, running, and jumping are regulated. These micro-injuries, if not halted in the growth phase, can grow into serious knee instability. The individual is put at risk of further injuries and a high probability of degenerative, destructive joint conditions of the osteoarthritic type. It is estimated that about 200,000 reconstructions of the ACL are carried out annually across the globe, and the question of finding and applying an integral treatment suddenly becomes urgent.
Most notably, the introduction of artificial ligaments entirely changed the idea of ACL reconstruction; it was the arrival on the market of a durable commercial analog of traditional grafts. In most cases, the period of recovery was elongated by the occurrence of pain in the donor area and the need to recover two traumatized areas and to use transplant tissue taken from the body of the patient. Contemporary solutions, backed by state-of-the-art equipment and the teams of surgeons in the Pristin Care facilities, have brought initiation of repair of an ACL tear to a new level—the maximum quality of life that individuals devastated by such an injury can hope for.
Synthetic ligaments. What exactly are synthetic
Some of the commonly used and developed synthetic implants are the synthetic ligaments used in orthopedic surgery. More precisely, they are artificially created biomaterials used in cases of a technique for replacing damaged natural ligaments. The synthetic ligaments are not autografts, allografts, or autografts harvested from the body of the patient but, on the contrary, they are biocompatible polymers in origin.
The various available options of synthetic ligaments and benefits brought by it include good quality, which is consistent; unlimited supply; and no morbidity at the donor site. The extraction of autografts can be a bit frightening to the patient, and most of the time, more time for recovery is needed. Other than that, synthetic ligaments minimize the time used during the surgery because grafting is not necessary.
That is why advanced synthetic ligaments are increasingly being used as a substitute for grafting, since, in some places, the availability of appropriate and right donor grafts is very limited. This, therefore, enhances the access and timeliness of the surgeries for anybody in need of ACL.
Where Technological Innovations Impact Development on Synthetic Ligaments
The development of an artificial ligament, and more so that of an artificial fiber, is an extremely interdisciplinary field of materials science and engineering, aiming to produce fibers with properties analogous to natural ligaments. If performed on a human knee, that material should be strong, flexible, and durable enough to bear the dynamic stresses. Modern ones are made using advanced polymers, usually polyethylene terephthalate, and polyurethanes for their qualities of strength and elasticity.
This is particularly the case since such developments are specifically targeted at the improvement in the integration of such material with human tissue, the further reduction of risks for tissue rejection, as well as the enhancement of the healing process itself. Particularly, "Pristyn Care" is engaged in doing the given research process further enhancing the boundary of what is possible to be done with synthetic ligament technology. Focusing on knee biomechanics allows developers to adapt how a ligament's structure is formed to recreate natural motion while at the same time reducing complications and inducing new methods of natural and efficient ways of healing.
The newest technologies will save artificial knee ligaments from being inferior or just equal to the traditional knee-ligament grafts and most of the time, they will be far above benchmark levels by such a huge amount, marking a huge leap in ACL reconstruction technology.
How Pristyn Care is Changing the Way ACLs are Reconstructed
Pristyn Care leads from the front in the adaptation and innovation of methods for synthetic ligaments in the reconstruction of ACLs. There is a deep commitment to the assimilation of the latest in medical innovations with the aid of advanced technology that supports conducting such complex procedures in ultra-modern surgical facilities. With patient safety and surgical efficacy set to be a priority, the surgical centers of Pristyn Care can perform every ACL surgery under the best of conditions. Moreover, Pristyn Care is actively involved in partnering with advanced medical researchers and bioengineers to further enhance effectiveness and safety in the use of synthetic ligaments.
Reviews of ACL surgery operations under the aegis of Pristyn Care state that the medical staff were professional, the facilities were modern, and generally, surgeries were performed with good outcomes. All these statements refer not to new medical technologies but to the high rates of patient satisfaction and trust.
Advantages of Synthetic Ligaments in ACL Reconstruction
Using synthetic ligaments in ACL reconstruction has one major benefit which is the elimination of donor site morbidity. Unlike conventional techniques that include removing body tissue from a patient, these issues can be avoided by using synthetic ligaments. Therefore, it is widely recognized as an effective approach that lessens the chances of postoperative infection and pain reduction along with a quicker & easier recovery process. Pristyn Care reviews indicate that patients have highly ranked this method because they recover within a short time and experience minimal postoperative discomfort.
Pristyn healthcare reviews indicate that Pristyn Care’s use of synthetic ligament in ACL surgery has yielded outstanding results, which have enabled patients to make fast comebacks for sports and their normal duties.
In Pristyn Care reviews, people talk about how much they are satisfied with the minimal interruption to their lives, and the quickness with which they recovered. Good testimonials through Pristyn Healthcare reviews emphasize how advanced surgical practices and individualized treatments offered by Pristyn Care are geared towards providing high-quality health services resulting in the best outcomes.
Identify the Challenging Issues and Consider
The utilization of synthetic materials in surgical procedures presents both opportunities and challenges. Although these materials can enhance the recovery process due to their design to integrate with tissue without triggering an immune response, their long-term durability remains a concern. Pristyn Care reviews often highlight the rigorous monitoring of synthetic-tendon integration, particularly under the continuous stress imposed by daily activities. This is an area of active research within Pristyn healthcare reviews, focusing on enhancing the material's ability to withstand long-term use without compromising safety.
Additionally, regulatory and ethical factors about these techniques are vital. In addition, all synthetic materials used are strictly regulated by Pristyn Care for maximum safety. This commitment to safety standards is reflected in Pristyn healthcare reviews where the rigorous clinical trials and medical & ethical constraints are highly acknowledged. These materials undergo stringent safety checks before their approval for use so that they conform with the highest possible safety standards hence maintaining the reputation of Pristyn Care as a provider of safe, innovative, and effective Pristyn health care solutions.
Patient Success Stories and Case Studies
Against this backdrop, many life-changing benefits make patients at Pristyn feel that their ACL is rebuilt with synthetic ligaments. This is not on paper, but one watches how a patient describes getting back to sports activity after months of surgery and says great recovery is credited to great care. Another case in point reflects a patient who almost felt no pain with rapid rehabilitation due to advanced surgical techniques at Pristyn Care. These stories strengthen the good reviews about high satisfaction rates and successful surgical outcomes on Pristyn healthcare platforms.
Conclusion
ACL injuries are mostly known as anterior cruciate ligament injuries and they are common and severe, especially in high-impact sports or activities that involve the knee joint heavily. These injuries negatively affect performance, so it requires a well-planned recovery plan to safely go back to what one was doing before. One main surgical procedure through which the normal functions of the knee can be restored is known as ACL reconstruction. The Return to Play (RTP) protocols post-surgery should be focused on total recuperation, prevention of future traumas, and restoration of peak levels of performance. For Pristyn Care, emphasis has been put on RTP post-ACL reconstruction to achieve full patient recovery and enable them to regain their best level of performance. In Pristyn care reviews, there is usually mention of how effective its customized RTP protocols are because these protocols help in preventing reinjuries. Further, Pristyn Healthcare reviews also hail the individualistic approach taken during the rehabilitation period which has significantly improved the success rates for ACL surgeries conducted at Pristyn Care.

Leo's injuries in my fic I'm making
Over 35 injuries (my boy's going through it 😞)
*All recovery times will be less than stated, due to Leo’s mutant healing factor.
Ruptured eardrum. Will heal within 3 - 6 weeks. Take antibiotics + ear drops.
2. Scrapes on feet.
3. Bruising on tailbone + lower back. Recovery time: 4 - 6 weeks.
4. Skidded knees.
5. Bloody nose.
6. Bruised face.
7. Scratched arms, legs, hand, knees, and plastron.
8. Scraped Shell + Arms.
9. Broken Ankle (Lateral malleolus fracture). This is the most common type of ankle fracture. It is a break of the lateral malleolus, the knobby bump on the outside of the ankle (in the lower portion of the fibula). Recovery time: 8 weeks. Boot for the last 5.
10. Cuts and scrapes on the left side of the body, bruising from around there.
11. Broken ribs on his left. Recovery time: 6+ weeks.
12. Bruising surrounding said ribs.
13. Mild bruising and scratching on shoulder.
14. Black eye.
15. Dented top-middle shell.
16. Concussion from whiplash.
17. Shell punctures from claws and surrounding cracks.
18. Broken shell. Recovery time: 1+ yrs. Drill small screws into the shell on either side of the fracture and then wrap wire around the screws, tightening the shell down almost like opposing tissue during suturing. Apply fiberglass patch and resin. Wrap with sterile gauze to help stabilize any broken shell pieces that may be present.
19. Fractured clavicle (collarbone). Recovery time: 6 - 8 weeks. Sling.
20. Fractured temporal skull. Recovery time: 5 - 7 weeks.
21. Broken femur (thighbone). Recovery time: 4 - 6 months.
22. Punctured lung. Recovery time: 6 - 8 weeks.
23. Neck bruising.
24. VERY skinned knees and lower legs.
25. Back of arms + shell got cut by claws.
26. Broken humerus (upper arm bone). Recovery time: 4+ months. Needs temporary splint extending from the shoulder to the forearm and holding the elbow bent at 90 degrees.
27. Broken scapula (shoulder blade). Recovery time: 6-12 weeks. Needs short-term immobilization along with motion exercises to prevent adhesive capsulitis, also called frozen shoulder.
28. Fractured vertebrae. Recovery time: 3+ months. Would need a brace, but with his shell, it won't happen.
29. Fractured orbital bone (eye socket). Recovery time: 3+ weeks.
30. Pneumothorax (collapsed lung). Recovery time: 1 - 3 weeks. Needs chest tube (but how will THAT work?).
31. Bruised liver (minor). Recovery time: 1 - 2 weeks.
32. Stomach bleed. Will lead to vomiting blood, yay.
33. Fractured sternum (breast bone). Recovery time: 6 weeks. Sternal injuries can usually be treated conservatively involving rest, restrictions of activities and painkillers, or occasionally through some form of intervention including targeted physical therapy.
34. Mild brain bleed. Recovery time: 6+ months. Surgery needed to drain blood from the brain Draining the fluid that surrounds the brain creates room for the hematoma to expand without damaging brain cells. Drugs are used to control blood pressure, seizures or headaches. Burr hole surgery is the main treatment for subdural hematomas that develop a few days or weeks after a minor head injury (chronic subdural hematomas). During the procedure, one or more small holes (the size of dimes) are drilled in the skull and a flexible rubber tube is inserted to drain the hematoma. Will drain within 2 - 3 days.
35. Second degree burns on his front. Recovery time: 1 - 3 weeks. Treat with antibiotic cream and wrap if the skin is raw, if the blisters open, or if there is risk of infection.
Homeboy will also deal with some other stuff, see my other post about it.

I'm fine (revised)- Athena & Simon
Return to File
Recovery date: August 17th, 2020
Description: While in the office, Athena starts to feel sharp pains in her abdomen. Phoenix, wanting to be safe, has Apollo take her to the ER.
Notes: Content warning for minor medical emergency. After consideration of the previous entry, a revision was made.
Word count: 578

“Hey Athena, are you okay?” Trucy asked. The young magician was currently sprawled out on the couch playing with a deck of cards. Athena was sitting on the couch across from her working.
“Uh, ya. Why?” Athena’s voice lacked some of it’s usual beat. Trucy narrowed her eyes and frowned, but before she could speak, Apollo piped up.
“Liar,” he said, he didn’t even look up from his work. “I’m sure Mr. Wright will let you go home if you need to. We’ve got things here covered.”
“Thanks, but I-” A wave of nausea came over her, and she covered her mouth as she braced herself on her knees. “Ow,” she groaned, placing a hand on her abdomen as she sat up again.
“Apollo, do you mind driving Athena to the ER?” He looked over at the man. “Better safe than sorry, abdominal pain can be really severe.”
---
“Simon, I’m fine. The doctors said I can probably go home tomorrow, you don’t need to stick around,” Athena sighed for the hundredth time.
After an hour or so of surgery, and another hour or so recovering from the anesthetic, she was finally feeling back to her regular self. During that time, Simon had never left the hospital. Phoenix had called him just after she'd gone into surgery.
The pain had started this morning before work, Athena had noticed her abdomen looked a little puffy and she felt a dull pain. But she’d waved it off as nothing more than an uncomfortable gas bubble, nothing strange. Still, she’d taken a tylenol and headed into the office. Another red flag should have been her disinterest in eating. She’d only eaten a piece of toast as opposed to her usual breakfast sandwich, if Simon were there he would have said something. That was why she hadn’t objected when Mr.Wright had Apollo drive her to the ER.
When they arrived, she was surprised at how quickly she was seen and how fast she was taken into surgery after. Not that she had been to the ER often, but the wait time always seemed endless. It had scared her a bit.
“I know what the doctor said, Cykes-dono, however I do not wish to leave you alone,” Simon said, as he continued to work. While Edgeworth had let him leave the office, he still had work to finish.
“I’m not alone, I’m in a hospital full of people,” she waved her arms over exaggeratedly, only to wince at the pull in her side. It could have been worse, she kept reminding herself. “Besides, Mr.Wright’s bringing me takeout for dinner. So I won’t be alone for long.” She sighed. “I don’t want your work to build up because of me,” she said softly.
Simon stopped typing and looked up. “Cykes-dono,” he stopped. “Athena, it is my job to make sure you’re okay. I am not leaving this room until you do.”
Athena looked down and began to play with her sheets. “Bu-”
“I have already requested the next few weeks off, I have quite a bit of vacation time accumulated. You aren’t getting rid of me,” he smiled. It was so often the other way around, with him pushing Athena to stop worrying.
“I can take care of myself,” she huffed, still playing with the sheets.
“I know you can, but as you are so fond of reminding me: Just because you can take care of yourself, doesn’t mean you always have to.”

Part 3 - Chapter 47 - Limbo
Blank Canvas Part 3
AO3 - here
Fanfiction.net - here
Heyo! Sorry for the delay. I was right in the middle of moving houses and transferring to a different store so I had no time to post last week. I also bought a new mattress that I had to get set up on Tuesday last week on top of everything else. So I was a teeny tiny bit busy. ^___^ Like I've been literally living out of boxes in an almost empty house surrounded by dust bunnies. Only the sound of the show on my laptop and the owls out back for company. -plays the worlds smallest violin for myself- Anyway! Update time is now!
Linktree to all the things!
End notes for the chapter are under the line.
What's going to happen to you indeed. Will the heroes help him or throw him to the wind? We'll find out next time! ^_____^ Oh and if anyone was expecting a reunion with Hitoshi this chapter, sorry to disappoint but we had to get the tough stuff over with before the fluff. And Izuku was still being processed and needed the talk with the authorities first. So yeah, Hitoshi was at the hospital but won't meet up again with Izuku until later.
Condolences to Izuku's hand. It'll be a tough journey but he's still going to try his best going forward. Also me being me, I have plans. ;) And the physical therapy should help judging from my own experience of pt since I messed up my knee. I saw some people in for their hands after surgery and I don’t know much what would be recommended but I’ll do some research and see what I find. But pt does help! I learned some good exercises and tricks to help with my own recovery. So if you ever get injured like me or get surgery def do the pt after.
All the comforting physical support! :D Aizawa figured that out ages ago and Nezu has too. I have read some fics where Nezu was against physical touch due to his years of experimentation. Which valid if it was forced upon him but I'm more going with the animal instincts to comfort those in their pack of sorts. Honestly all of Izuku's mentors have already mentally adopted Izuku anyway so to me they are all a big unofficial family.
So what will happen to Izuku? You'll find out next chapter! Again thank you for the patience. I'm now moved into the new house and officially transferred to the new store. And I am typing this while on my brand new fancy mattress. Now all I gotta do is unpack the gazillion boxes in my room. Yay moving. :P Alrighty. I shall leave y'all with this until next time. Byeee!
