The Ty Sisters Situation
I find Ty Lee's sibling situation kind of frustrating. For multiple reasons.
I find her sister's designs, both in appearance and personality, incredibly boring and basic. And they're just outright lazy.
I mean their whole thing is that they're seven identical sisters who all want to be as different and distinct as possible...
But they all wear their hair the same, and wear the same outfit just in different colors, and primarily differentiate themselves by a single specific Thing that they do that the other sisters don't.
And they're all pissed at Ty Lee because she decided to claim acrobatics as her Thing, when they all did and enjoyed acrobatics.
Except all of them doing acrobatics doesn't even make any sense because they're a bunch of fire nation noble ladies.
It made since that Ty Lee was an acrobat in spite of her being a Fire Nation noble, because she ran away and joined the circus.
Like I could accept it if all of the Ty sisters knew Chi blocking, and Ty Lee claimed it as her Thing, and the other girls were upset about that.
That's something Ty Lee 100% learned in the Fire Nation. The country is at war, lots of people both men and women get trained in combat. So it'd make sense for the other Ty sisters to also be taught it.
Why would Ty Lee claim acrobatics as her Thing if it's something all of her sisters also know how to do? Why would all seven of a set of daughters of a noble house know acrobatics in the first place?
Her whole thing is craving individuality due to being born part of a matching set.
Expanding on that. Why do all of her sisters have her exact same hair style?
Like down to their bangs curling identically and having a part on the same side.
Haircut/hairstyle and outfit is like the easiest way to differentiate characters (and real people) who're supposed to be identical siblings.
How is it all seven girls have the exact same hair style, and one of them has been completely separated from the rest for at least a year by the time they see each other again?
Not a single one of them have hair that's longer or shorter than Ty Lee's, or bangs that are shorter than Ty Lee's, or with no bangs at all. Or hair in a low braid instead of a high braid, or with bangs parting on the right instead of the left, or hair in two braids, or in a bun, or any other potential hair style.
Nothing. All completely identical hair styles, even if it's totally illogical, and antithetical to Ty Lee's character drive.
I wouldn't even care as much if they had the same hairstyle, if it wasn't the same hairstyle as Ty Lee's.
Then they're all wearing what are recolors of the same outfit, and two different sets of sisters are wearing basically the same color:
Ty Lin and Ty Lao are both in shades of light blue, Ty Lat and Ty Woo are both in shades of light orange/yellow.
Not a single one wears make up, not a single one has dyed their hair (natural dyes do exist, henna dye for example), not a single one has any kind of piercing, there's no unique accessory of any kind for any of them.
This is dumb writing and it's just bad character design, and sometimes the fact that these comics are canon fill me with rage.
Someone should redesign the Ty Sisters, and actually make them individuals instead of Ty Lee clones.
Also Ty Woo should totally have a tattoo, even if it's just something small like an anklet style tattoo.
#atla#avatar the last airbender#ty lee#atla ty sisters#man do I hate the designs for Ty Lee's sisters#honestly I feel like everything about them is both bad writing and bad character design#not only is the story they got crappy the lazy character designs they got didn't effectively serve it#Ty Woo should have a tattoo#one should have a piercing (nose or ears)#one should have short hair#one should have no bangs#one should have dyed their hair black#one should regularly wear make up#none of them should have Ty Lee's exact hair style

Still thinking about how Gi Seop is literally willing to change everything about himself trying to be Jin Woo's perfect person, tying himself in knots and getting a tattoo and changing his entire style in this desperate attempt to fit into the idea of who Jin Woo thinks he should love because he doesn't understand why Jin Woo never asked him out and how much that says about his own insecurities and his own issues that it just hurts.
Imagine being so desperate for love that you will literally reshape your entire self just in an attempt to fit someone else's impossible love list. And then to have the person you changed for thinking of you as someone who is just 'used to being loved'.
If Gi Seop was so used to being loved, why would he tie himself in knots to get anything from Jin Woo?
My heart breaks for these boys.

Hello there, can I have your name? Stephanie.
Have you gotten close to anyone recently? Not anyone new, no.
Out of all your friends, who do you spill ALL your secrets to? I spill everything in these surveys.
Do you miss the way things used to be? I miss the way a lot of things used to be.
On your “lazy days” what are you doing? So what do I do everyday? Lie around in bed switching between social medias, watch YouTube videos, watch TV, read, scroll through Tumblr, do surveys, play some Animal Crossing: New Horizons, sleep...
Do you remember the first conversation you had with the person you have feelings for? I don’t have romantic feelings for anyone at this time.
Are you anything like you were at this point last year? Unfortunately. Have you ever got a D or F on your report card? No.
If you could go back and change something in the past 5 months would you? How about 5 years?
Do you like anybody? Not in the romantic sense.
Do you believe that people talk about you behind your back? I don’t think I’m on anyone’s radar.
If you had twins, would you give them rhyming names? Not having kids, but in the hypothetical scenario where I had twins; no, I would not.
Do you remember what you were like a year ago? Yeah, like I said I’m the same now, which means I haven’t changed much. And that’s not good.

Or about how I cry over the same things, but not actively or even trying to do anything about them. I’m just not very understanding or kind to myself.
Do you tend to make things complicated? Yeppp. :/
Have you ever slept on a couch with someone? No.
Have you ever gotten to the point where you’ve said “I’m done trying”? I’ve felt that way many times throughout my life. Peachtober | Day 14: Overgrown
Black!Reader x Monster Woo
Summary: Monster Woo is a simple man who sells flowers for a living and you are an Instagram photographer. Your models’ faces are better known than you yourself, but Woo wants to see what’s behind the camera.
Genre: Fluff
Moodboard and reaction requests open! Mstrlst in bio!
During a sunny Spring Day, a new shipment of flowers come in at 꽃벌 (play on words of flower and bee). It is the largest one since it is the start of the season. Valentine's Day is long gone, and White Day was a hit. All of the red and white roses being 70% of the seasonal inventory and now going back to its regular 40% since roses would sell no matter what season or occasion.
Youngwoo rolled up his burgundy sleeves to help the part time worker carry large sacks of fertilizer and dirt into the back while she balanced seedlings and vases under her arms and even atop her coily buzzcut.
“Naveah, once you’re done bringing in all the pots, can you start organizing them please?” He asked.
“Sure, Big Daddy.” She replied.
The tall man sighed, “I told you to stop calling me that.”
Naveah just smiled in response and continued to carry the rest of the product until the truck was empty. Then she began sorting pots by height and material while Woo worked on answering calls and writing down some new clients and jobs they were wanted for. A few weddings, a birthday, two divorce parties. One he turned down because they were planning on burning flowers, and he could never imagine putting his beautiful gifts through that.
A young woman about 20 or older came in dressed in purple slacks, heels to match, and a white shirt. Her typha colored hand reaching into her purse for her phone to check if she was at the right location.
She entered the store and Woo told the woman on the phone, “One second.”
“Hello.”
“Hello, I am Y/N and I run a photography blog. I was wondering if you would be interested in hiring me to take pictures of your flowers for advertising. I have experience with both still life and live models.” She said, setting her card down on the desk.
Woo picked it up and read the Hangul and the English translation. She was a photographer for sure.
“Why does your name seem so familiar?”
She gave a smile, “A few of my models have walked during Seoul Fashion Week this past bit cuz they saw my photos.”
He smiled, “Ah, right. It seems like with a face like yours, you would be the one in front of the camera.”
Y/N began to blush, “Oh, um. Thank you.”
The two just stared at each other and smiled for a moment before she spoke up.
“Well, I should get going. You have a phone call to get back to.”
Woo nodded, “Oh, right. Yes. It was nice meeting you and I will be in contact.”
The woman left and the florist finished the call, thankful they hadn't hung up. Y/N...jeez she was beautiful.
The sound of a glass vase breaking snapped the tall man out of his daze. He sighed and called out the worker's name before heading over to get the broom to hand to her.
After work, Woo locked up and said farewell to his worker before taking a taxi home. Before going to bed, he looked up the Instagram page that was on the card Y/N gave him.
She was really good. Like, it was so much better than he had expected. Pictures of flowers in vases and people and so many beautiful faces. A lot of her stuff was currently flower based. It seemed she didn’t delete the stuff from her early days either. The camera quality had gome up so much too. Woo couldn’t help but like one of them that made him think of a tattoo. Wait, no.
It was from 4 years ago! She was going to think he was a creep! No, no. Y/N wouldn’t do that, right? It was just a possible employer checking out an employee’s past work to see if it would affect his current business. He made up his mind. Woo would hire the beautiful black girl to work for his company. All of his current photos were taken by him and Naveah, so they weren’t that great. If they could up the photo quality of the inventory, then they would sell more.
The large man soon fell asleep thinking about what floral arrangements he would make for each tier. Each one was linked with a color, so he could make it monochrome. Or maybe most of that color. Y/N looked really cute in purple. Hair like an allium.
The next day at the shop, Youngwoo called her while setting up the flowers he would use for this week’s specialty arrangement.
“Hello, this is Photobomb Productions, Y/N speaking.” She said in English and then repeated it in Korean.
Woo smiled, “Hello. This is Youngwoo from 꽃벌. I would like to take you up on your offer of becoming our floral photographer. I have been meaning to take some new pics for some summer deals.”
He could hear her squaling out of excitement in the background and then she cleared her throat and talked professionally, “That is great to hear. What day or time would the photographic subjects be ready for me to photograph?”
“Today is Friday, so I will be busy all weekend. I can get them done by either Tuesday or Wednesday since I already have sketches. All I have to do it put them together.”
“Perfecto! How does Tuesday at 2pm sound?” Y/N asked.
Woo looked at his schedule, “I have a delivery at 1:30 in the afternoon, but I will probably have my worker handle that one.”
“I see. Alright, well, I will see you then. Do not hesitate to call me if we have to move it to Wednesday. Have a nice day.”
“You too.” Woo replied and the woman hung up.
“Who was that, Big Daddy?” his worker asked, carrying in a box of seeds to set up in the seed bin near the front.
He rolled his eyes, “That woman who came in yesterday. A photographer. She’s gonna take photos for us from now on. I’m gonna be up late drafting up a contract and then we’ve gotta--” The tattooed florist sighed. “I shouldn’t bore you with technicalities. Let’s get these arrangements done.”
“Let me bring over the vases.” The short haired woman said.
Woo looked at the workbench, “Neveah, where are the Calla Lilies?” he asked after her.
“We had two weddings that wanted them, so we are getting an emergency shipment in, but not until tomorrow.” She replied, making sure the seed packets fell flat before adding more on.
He nodded, “Right. Right. Um…” then he remembered the thought he had last night and went to a sky blue bucket and picked out a bulbous purple flower with a long stem. “We’ll use these today instead.”
And so for the next few minutes before the sign was flipped, the two made matching arrangements. Neveah had always wanted to do more now that her probation was up. Woo’s shop was known for flowers and arrangements, served weddings of all types and even funerals. The most important thing about it was who it employed, however. Former convicts and people who were needed someplace to work while on probation.
Youngwoo believed that everyone deserved a second chance and that humans could change, which is why he hired who he did.
“Ah, it didn’t come out as well as yours.” Neveah said as hers had a bit of a bend in the long stem and just seemed overall more messy than the one her boss made.
“Don’t worry about it. This is only the third one you’ve ever made, so I think you did really well. In fact, yours will go on the box instead of mine so people will see it first.” The man set hers onto the white wooden box in the window and placed his next to it.
Dark pink roses and sunflowers graced the top of the white vase with solid aster placed in here and there. The allium rested above each one like a proud head. They would stay in the front for the week and then they would be dead and turned into compost for a nearby flower nursery.
The woman smiled and then it was time to flip the sign. Business didn’t pick up until around lunch which was the usual thing. People buying either a single flower or a dozen on the way to a date. When Neveah left for the day, Yieun clocked in and hugged Woo having started this business together before she tried and failed to become an idol.
“Is the car filled up yet? Remember, I have to drop off some stuff for a business meeting and a 16th birthday today.” She said.
“It’s all packed up and ready to go. Feel free to double check, but it had been pretty quiet today.” He replied. “Ah, are there business cards still inside?”
Tuesday came, and Woo was nervous to see her again. They had talked over the phone for the past couple of days to finalize things. Y/N was really kind but he could tell how much her work meant to her. It was a small business that she was ultimately running on her own and often didn’t get paid for her time because people hardly ever took the arts seriously. Photography was no exception.
People thought it was just sitting in good lighting, point and click, which it wasn’t.
Woo had three different arrangements made for each color level. White, green, purple, and yellow. Each added the amount of flower types and the default price was a clear glass vase. A custom vase color/type would cost $3 extra. The second and third were in custom vases and set up in the workshop.
It was extra clean for today and there were no arrangements to be made. Mondays through Wednesdays were the slowest of the slow most of the time. That meant today was perfect for Y/N to come in.
She arrived right on time in a yellow long sleeve top tucked into a rainbow skirt and white and rainbow shoes. Rainbow accessories too, but carrying a duffle bag of work stuff.
Yieun was out on her current delivery, so Woo fixed his brows and hair before greeting her with a poliot bow.
“Hello, Y/N. How are you doing today? Have you eaten?” He asked.
“I am doing well, and yes I have. I went to a taco place. It was good, but the sauce stained the jacket I was wearing.” The woman sighed, tying her hair back before she set up everything.
It wasn’t the most glamorous thing, but Woo asked if he could watch. She said as long as he stayed behind the camera, it was ok. However, the man wasn’t watching the flowers, but instead watched how she worked. The way she bent over to get a better angle from her tripod and set up the lights.
She seemed so delicate, like she herself was a rose petal in need of much care. However, they way she pursed her lips seemed to go perfectly like thorns. The man knew she wasn’t thinking about him. Her eyes were on the flowers, but at the same time, Y/N was all he could think about for the past week.
Sometimes his imagination would try to run away with the idea of her, but that wasn’t fair to her. He barely knew her last name.
The shy and strong Woo was enchanted by the photographer. Ah, he wanted to say something to her. To ask her out, but she was so professional. This was just work for her, and he didn’t want to get in the way of her job. Still, wasn’t it worth a chance to at least get a proper answer instead of wondering “What if?”
“No, no.”
“Um, Youngwoo? Can you help raise this up a bit more?” She reached her brown hand towards the top of the light.
As the taller man helped her, he decided to just go for it, “Hey, um, Y/N. Feel free to say no, but I was um. I was wondering if you would possibly maybe want to go on a sort of kind of date with me?”
“Oh, um, sure. Right there is good.”
Woo tightened the stand, and she began taking pictures again.
“What kind of place were you thinking?” She asked. “Y’know, for our date? Dinner and a movie?”
“I’d like to take you on a picnic. I know it’s sort of cliche, but Han River is really nice and there’s usually some nice busking that goes on there.” He said was her felt his heart beat outside of his chest, “I am leaving the shop to Yieun and a part timer this weekend. We can do it then.”
Y/N smiled up at him as she stood on the other side of the arrangement, “Sounds like a plan, Youngwoo. I shall wear a dress.”
“You can wear anything you want. I’m sure you’ll look great.” The man answered earnestly.
A surprised smile before Yieun called for him. Woo said he’d be right back and went to go talk to his co-worker about what had to be done. It wasn’t much. Just a bit of organizing here and there and sweeping. Simple things that took a while.
“By the way~” She whispered. “Did you ask her out? Niveah said she’s all you talk about.”
“I did.” He replied, playing coy.
“And? Did she say yes?”
A smile broke out on his face, “She did.”
Yieun put her hands up for a high five and asked for details one their hands met in celebration.
The following days, Woo kept sending his friend photos for potential outfits. She kept telling him to ditch the dress shirts because he looked awkward in them. It was just a casual thing, so he went with some gray sneakers, khakis, and a black and white striped top. Because of the pollen forecast, he opted out of contacts and just wore his glasses. The most expensive thing he wore was his gold watch from a birthday.
He had decided on a simple picnic instead of the ferry for dinner. Maybe if things went well, but he didn't wanna look too far ahead. He knew of a spot away from the main busy area where a few weeping willows provided the perfect shade.
“Youngwoo-ssi!” Her familiar voice called.
The man was breathless as could be as Y/N walked towards him, her copper skin covered in a blue and white dress that allowed for her arm to be bare except for a gold and white bracelet. Simple makeup other than a pink matte lip that accented her smile.
They bowed and greeted each other.
“You look...amazing.” He couldn’t help but stared.
“Thank you. You look great, too. I think this is my first time seeing you without an apron on.” She replied.
Woo smiled in response, “Thank you. I have a super special spot for us. A friend told me about it.”
She smiled, “Sounds great.”
“Have you had any other clients lately?” He asked.
“Oh my gosh, so I had this really sweet woman come in yesterday with her pregnant wife so that we can do the pregnancy announcement pictures and stuff. This is fine. I had it set up and such for that because she made an appointment.”
The tall man smiled, “Oh, that is really nice.”
“However, she went into labor in the middle of me taking the photos.”
“She what?”
“Right?
Woo asked, “Did she not know she was going to give birth?”
Y/N shrugged dramatically, “I guess not, but luckily, my next door neighbor is in her last year of training to become a nurse. She helped to deliver the baby in my bathtub.” She laughed. “I spent most of the day cleaning it.”
Both of them laughed at the whole story. That’s what it was like to have an at home studio as a photographer.
“Ah, here it is.”
Behind the leaves of a willow tree, there was a perfect little alcove where a red gingham blanket was spread out and food was separated between the two in the form of sandwiches. Conversation flowed smoothly as the overgrown tree provided shade for the couple that fate decided to put together. They talked about work and of family.
Kim Youngwoo blushed when she complimented him on being a good person, taking in people society had rejected because of a series of bad mistakes.
He told her about how he just wanted to help people like him, how the U.S. basically deported him back to Korea because of--
“I don’t care what you did, Youngwoo.” Y/N said honestly. “You’re obviously not the same person you were back then, or at least you are doing much better. Besides, that isn’t the person I’m starting fall for.”
“Who are you starting to fall for?” Woo asked, hoping his heart was beating for all the right reasons.
She bit her lip and then looked up at him after hesitating to say the truth, “You.”

Parabellum- Emily Grace
Request: The John wick 3 trailer makes me thirsty and it gave me an idea. Male reader being a acrobatic assassin and wooing Emily when she was at the morgue?
A/N: It’s unusual writing about another franchise I’m familiar with. I do not know what was expected of me but I have confidence in what I wrote.
__________________________________________
A flash ripped across the night sky, sending vibrations across the city and its citizens. The heavy rain added to the nose of the storm. It acted as a overhanging melody peaked by rhythmic lighting to your work. The weather was not a hinderance however. Although you were cold and wet you still had a job to do, more than just a pay grade was on the line that night.
From a distance you could see a man shiloetted underneath an awning by the light inside. You watched him for a moment, hands snugly curled behind his back, a revolver likely ready for a quick draw in case any threat presented itself. A hypothetical threat such as yourself.
The guard turned his attention to the door, allowing you an oprotunity to creep closer through the rain. Another thug inside inside was asking brief questions to the one outside. Moving along the brick you got close enough to pick out spoken words, simotabiously gaining the ability to take action.
Stepping into the doorway you pushed the first hard inside with your forearm. Forcefully pressed into his comrade you fired two shots into the guards back and another over his shoulder to land a fatal into the second mans head. Now past the door frame you scanned the compact opening for more targets; this time finding another man brandishing a rifle who fell after staining the door behind him with blood. You heard a commotion from the same enterance the man entered as a reaction to your theatrical arrival. Before proceeding with the bloodshed you turned your pistol back to the first guard’s head and squeezed the trigger symotaniously with another strike of lightning.
-
Emily froze when she heard the sound of broken glass. Her belief that she she was the only soul left in the morgue evaporated in a matter of seconds. The echo of footsteps challenged any remaining doubt left to linger. Her first instinct and action was to lock the door to the back room she was in.
Light from the main area crept underneath the door, followed by the frantic sounds of rummaging. If Emily was a lesser woman she would stay hidden in her relative safety. However, she knew of the oprotunity both her and the intruder had. It was late at night in the heat of a heavy storm, if someone wanted to tamper with a corpse or remove evidence Emily could not think of a better setting. For herself, Emily could identify or potentially scare off who ever broke in, assuming there was only one. All thoughts of protest were pushed out of her mind as she unlocked the door and slowly moved to the source of the light.
You pulled another set of bandages from the drawer, relieving pressure off your bloody abdomen to bend down. Droplets of blood spilled onto the tiled white floor from the wound. Causing a grunt of pain to escape from your clenched lips. Dark red liquid continuing to leak through your leather gloves until pressure was reapplied.
You staggered over to the morgues slab, originally intended for dead bodies and not the wounded. You would be laughing at the irony of a dying man breaking into a morgue for medical supplies if it didn’t send strikes if pain through your body. When you turned your head however, instead of an empty building you caught a glimpse of a face, a bushel of hair that retreated behind a corner.
You were unsure what to do, retreat back into the rain or prepare for an attack. Instead you did something unexpected to the other party. “Hello?”
Emily knew she should be running away. But her nature wouldn’t allow her to leave a wounded man to likely die alone. One other unexplainable motive about the unknown man had an impact on her desision. Compelled by her profession and other emotions Emily stepped back into view.
You saw the woman reemerge from behind the wall, both staring at each other waiting for someone to make a move. Leaning against the slav you took the initiative. “You’re not here to kill me are you?”
“No,” The woman responded. You could assumed she had no ill intentions but she remained unsure if you were the same. “Are you?”
You chuckled softly until you saw her reaction remain unchanged. “No. I’m not in much of a position to put up much of a fight anyway.”
Emily slowly walked towards the stranger, keeping to his word he did not react defensively. Even as her hands moved towards the red patch on his shirt, wet from a combination of blood and rain he remained relatively still. “Don’t worry, I plan to take care of that.” You lifted the equipment in your hand slightly into view. She rolled up her sleeves and relinquished the supplies from you. “Allow me, I’m a Doctor.”
Emily knew she was taking a risk with the unknown man, but if she played nice she could get information or a name to put to the face. Regardless of situation a man needed her help.
“So you run this place I assume.” The doctor confirmed your suspicion, leaving temporarily to gather more bandages and vials while you undressed your top half on her command. “I apologize for going through your stuff, and breaking a window.”
Emily was about to respond when she saw your now bare figure. As requested you removed your coat and dress shirt, aside form a painful looking wound and pistol grip poking out of a concealed holister Emily was stunned by your physic. If she wasn’t caught staring it’s unlikely she would have stopped. In the exchange you wordlessly removed the weapon and placed it on a nearby surface, assuming it was the cause of the woman’s pause.
“I like your tattoos.” Emily’s only defence to her reddening face.
You thanked her, slowly lying down on the cold morgue slab with minor help from the doctor. Thanks Doc, it’s not easy to do this alone.”
“You’ve been shot before?” Emily asked as she cleaned the area surrounding the wound.
“Afew times unfortunately. I’ve survived worse but-” you groaned in pain when the doctor touched a tender patch of skin, “but it still hurts.”
Emily apologized for the discomfort before continuing with the conversation and probing questions. The man was surprisingly pleasant to talk with. “Since I found you breaking in and not visiting a hospital. I assume getting shot involves, shall we say unlawful means.”
“You should be a detective.”
Emily laughed quietly, her risky question was answered; she decided to push further.
“Would this have anything to do with all the bodies coming though the past week?”
You hesitated, “Possibly. I’m just taking care of business.” An answer to her question but not a direct confession.
Emily prepared her tweezers to extract the bullet. She gave a final look of sympathy before proceeding. “I’m sorry about this.” You nodded, clenching your jaw for the pain to come.
In no less than ten seconds the doctor pulled a piece of metal out of you. “We’re lucky it didn’t break up inside.” She smiled slightly, holding the utensil up to the light. “I don’t feel lucky.”
Emily continued with her questions masked as polite conversation as she started with the stitching. “If you don’t mind me asking, what type of “business” involves getting shot at?”
Your vision was still unfocused from the bullets extraction, bright overhead lights spinning into a blur; the doctor repeated her question. “It’s best if you don’t know the details Doc. But let’s just say you won’t find any upstanding citizens in here tomorrow.”
You continued muttering to the doctor incoherently. Emily was only able to understand ‘pimps’ and ‘two cent gangsters’ from the apparently humours ramble. She was able to pull you back to reality with a command to sit up for a bandage to be applied. You grunted when attempting to move to an upright position, the doctor helped guide you to ease the stress off your abdomen. Emily continued while wrapping white dressing; no longer acting as an impromptu cop but out of her own interests.
“That doesn’t make it right, morally speaking at least.” Emily took her eyes off the bandages to look directly at you. Managing once again to get lost in the mans eyes. “It’s still a crime.”
“True, however I would sat there’s a difference between a normal family man and a gun wielding crook.”
“Does that include you?” Emily spoke before her mind caught up. This man, this criminal could still pose a threat and retaliate. However, something about him made Emily think twice whenever she stared in his eyes. Your response was the truth, “I prefer the term hitman.”
Her hands stopped with the dressing when she started gazing so you carefully removed the bandages from her tender fingers and continued tying a suitable knot. For the split second his gloves hand touched Emily’s it made her heart skip. You then allowed the woman to give you an injection soon after, whatever it was made the pain fade from a constant stab.
“So what now?” You inquired while reaching for your still damp shirt and tie, “Are you going to turn me in or am I going to have to make a run for it?”
“I wouldn’t recommend running with those stitches.” Emily alternated between looking at the mans face and chest while he slowly dressed, both locations having the same results on her. “It’s my duty to notify the police, I’m sorry.”
She hesitently placed her hand on top of your abandoned gun. Without any motion or wish to pick it up the weapon.
“I understand.” Your only response to the situation.
You knew you could likely overpower the woman and escape before she could get a finger on the trigger, but for reasons unknown that idea hurt more than the gunshot from earlier. You wondered if she had the same notion.
Emily led you to the freezer to act as a temporary jail cell. She left the gun behind but you made no attempt at retaliation. Only a hand lightly pressed to the new stitches combined with tired foot steps. She unlocked the metal door and you hesitantly stepped inside, met with a wall of frozen stale air.
“The police station isn’t far, I won’t be long.”
“Will anyone be in this late at night?” You asked as she handed you a dry blanket your suit jacket. She didn’t answer but just repeated her previous “won’t be long” statement.
“What makes you think I can’t get out before you get back?” You half grinned to the doctors amusement, already formulating a slightly panicked to act out once she was gone.
“I’ll be very impressed if you do Sir,” “y/n.”
You immediately wanted to kick yourself for giving out your real name. It felt right in the moment but it would no doubt come back to haunt you later.
“Emily,” her first reaction was to return the pleasantry, “Emily Grace.”
Doctor Grace apologized again as she started to close the door but paused when hour voice spoke out.
“Emily.” She stopped, looking directly into your eyes. “Thank you Doctor Grace, for helping me.”
She smiled and nodded, giving you and unintentional and untaken opprotunity for escape. Emily left you with a final statement before locking you in, alone with a blanket and dampened overhead lights. “It’s my duty y/n; and don’t mind the bodies, I’m sure your already acquainted.”

Crunchyroll Features' Favorite Anime of Fall 2018!
The Fall season, and 2018 anime with it, are finished. We’re looking at a lot of big anime titles wrapping around into 2019, so now is the perfect time for our editors to honor our favorites from this season before the Winter premieres begin. This was a huge season with a ton of big returning titles, so it was particularly hard selecting our Top 3 from the season. You can check out our top anime from summer season, see how our picks compare to our most anticipated titles, or scroll down and check out our favorites!
Peter Fobian
Fall 2018 was absolutely ridiculous. The season looked huge going into it with the shonen fighter RADIANT, returning giants JoJo AND SAO, and 2 mega hyped isekai in Goblin Slayer and Slime. Oh yeah, also a new TRIGGER anime. Then it got EVEN BIGGER with some unknown quantities turning into awesome favorites. We’re still riding the crest of this wave into Winter as so many of the top series are continuing, but the ones that are coming to an end this year really left an impression on me.
ZOMBIE LAND SAGA
This might be the single biggest anime dark horse that has emerged since I started following seasonal anime and that was kind of part of its design. Everything from the show to the promotion was masterfully orchestrated, with the studio giving away little more than the title and Mamoru Miyano’s gorgeous face leading into the season. The way this anime took both tourism and idol anime to the extreme with one of the best concepts and pretty meta. The writing was on point, the comedic timing was perfect, and it even had great emotional beats. I’m really hoping a few of those loose plot threads mean a season 2 because this anime could easily deliver more.
SSSS.GRIDMAN
I watched the first episode of this series back at Anime Expo 2018 and was extremely surprised at how serious it felt. Although it loosened up during the fight scenes, Gridman has to be TRIGGER’s most reserved project to date with some really great storyboards, character drama, and a slowburn mystery that are typically absent from their high-octane visual circuses. It even stuck the landing. This series wasn’t just good in its own right, but really proved TRIGGER is about to deliver in multiple styles of storytelling.
Golden Kamuy
There's never enough space to talk about all the good things in Golden Kamuy. The story is an amazing treasure hunt/survival game in a wonderfully articulated historical set piece of Hokkaido, Japan following the Russo-Japanese War. The characters are as adorable as they are psychotic. The mysteries just keep building up. The violence is magnificent. The food looks delicious. This manga has a the best bit of everything and continually shows new faces as the story develops. Hopefully the wait for more of the manga wont be too long.
Ricky Soberano
Woo! This fall season has been a chock full of great anime that varied from each other in many aspects so I ended up staying consistently caught up with almost everything that came out this season and shows that haven’t stopped going. Trying to pick three took many rounds of questioning from myself to the people that I care about and the conclusion was ‘Ricky loved everything.’ However I came up with my top three by only choosing the ones that made me 110% happy every single time I clicked to watch the latest episode.
Fairy Tail Final Season
I’ve been a diehard Fairy Tail fan since the beginning (tattoo on my hip for proof) and frankly I’ve cried during every episode this season simply knowing that there will be no more of this amazing shonen that has saved my life more than once after this is done. This season exceeds expectations by not only doing a victory lap and bringing on almost every character that has ever shown up in the show but also by tying up every loose end, answering every burning question, and naturally showing every individual guild member’s badass power has gotten to a level so high up that one could barely fathom. Each episode has me screaming at the screen from the new insane revelation that they just revealed.
As Miss Beelzebub Likes It.
I don’t usually watch cute anime. However watching Beelzebub be super encapsulated by the presence of fluffy things, show her an affinity for tasty snaccs, and captivation for adorable animals pulled me into a hug as warm as an alpaca sweater and I never want it to stop. The color palette of pastel glory has kept me in a happy mood all season and the stories told are ridiculous but make for a never ending sweet dream.
Run with the Wind
This was a wild card for me since I may’ve ran track on high competitive levels but I don’t have a preference to sports anime. However the cast of 10’s journeys not only as runners but also as individuals take place with such high stakes on the line made it hard to not want to continue watching especially since the show did well to realistically show competitive running and the realistic sacrifices and training that goes behind it. With such high tension and drama circulating, I was truly on the edge of my seat the entirety of every single episode.
Nate Ming
Y'know, I thought I was gonna watch more JoJo… but I got my mom into JoJo over Christmas break, so that's gotta count for something. From retail hell to the frozen wilderness of Hokkaido to the sacred ring, my Fall 2018 season was full of emotional ups and downs… and I'm still screaming about that season finale for Golden Kamuy.
Skull-faced Bookseller Honda-san
All the built-up trauma from working retail and customer service for almost half my life came back in one huge wave with Skull-faced Bookseller Honda-san. No anime this season has made me laugh so hard I pulled a muscle (I'm not joking), and no anime this season has made me curl up in the fetal position remembering the insanity of working a Harry Potter book launch at Borders. But aside from all that, Honda-san himself is refreshingly positive and upbeat--work is work, it's tiring and frustrating, but if you love what you do and like sending customers home happy, it's all worth it in the end.
Golden Kamuy
The treacherous journey to find the stolen Ainu gold continued with a second season, bringing back our favorite characters while introducing plenty of new faces. Unexpected team-ups, shuffling of group rosters, and then pitting everybody against each other kept me watching every week, needing to know what was coming next--and that infuriating season finale means I'm absolutely tuning in for whenever season 3 starts airing.
Hinomaru Sumo
I keep joking that "no cowards allowed" is the tagline for this intense adaptation of the Weekly Jump manga, and it's a pretty fair assessment: characters may feel doubt and fear, they may question the decisions that led them to get into the ring, but there's nowhere to run in sumo, so finish the fight and worry about the details later. This show has so much heart, and I'm here to continue cheering for Hinomaru and team into 2019 as we head into its second cour.
Nicole Mejias
I gotta say, this fall season was STACKED with a whole bunch of great shows from start to finish! It was a season where my queue was at its fullest and trying to find time every week was actually a bit challenging to make sure I watched everything. There were so many shows that I ended up liking way more than I thought I would, so it was difficult to pick a top 3, and in some cases I feel my top 3 are mostly continuing from things I really enjoyed before, or last season; but that said, this was a tough season, and if I had more than 3 slots, I’d be in even more trouble picking!
Golden Kamuy
Golden Kamuy is a must-have on my list, and frankly should be on almost everyone's! I really had no idea what to expect from the series when I first heard about it, but whatever I thought it was, Golden Kamuy surprised me with it's amazing characters, fast and severe action, and its balance of comedy and suspense. As the second season draws to a close and some of the serious questions are about to be answered, I'll be waiting to see what's next for Sugimoto and Asirpa in the future. I probably would never get tired of this series, so I'm hoping we hear about a new season soon. Golden Kamuy is a series of feel almost anyone can enjoy, and I hope more people get sucked into it like I did!
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind
JoJo's is one of my favorite series of all, and when Golden Wind got announced I was extremely excited to see what was in store for me, since it was the JoJo part I knew the least about. Part 5 really does have a unique feel to it, from the mafia trappings to the unique and interesting Stand abilities, and now that things are really getting underway, I'm excited to see what's next! Giorno and the rest of the gang are quickly becoming one of my favorite collections of JoJo heroes, with their mix of fun chemistry and personalities, and I can just see Part 5 being in my favorite anime lists throughout 2019 too!
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
I'll be honest: I'm not a big isekai fan. I've never really found the power fantasy aspect of them interesting, and so I've usually found myself giving them a few episodes before getting bored or finding myself watching something else. Slime really grabbed me, though, because from the first parts of episode 1, I thought I was in for a similar experience, but it soon turned things on their heads! While Rimuru is super powerful, the world built in Slime is fascinating, and all of the interactions between characters is great. Also, seeing Rimuru put the smack down on baddies is incredibly satisfying! I'm excited to see where this series goes and how Rimuru's little collection of followers and hangers on grow!
And that's our editor's favorites for the Fall 2018 season! I'm surprised no anime got repeated twice except for Golden Kamuy with 3 votes, which is a fitting send off to an awesome series that reached its conclusion this year after an insane climax. But there's more to come. Prepare yourself for tomorrow when we'll be putting up our most anticipated titles for Winter 2019!

Gods yes, I understand why Ty Lee has identity issues.
