#i havent posted this though ive had it for like two months #ive been forming some kind of world thats similar to the planet of the apes in a way where the meegafauna never got killed off #and they kept developing into more intelligent creatures #until their society reaches a standstill one day when the garden of eden is recreated i think #initial idea was like electronic paleolithic megafauna #im still plagued by images of animatronicc wooly mammoth thats being annasumingly harvested for flesh but instead of meat found #its only wires #and the line between animatronic and electronic and living breathing flesh and fauna becomes blurred #because i guess animals as intelligent creatures would have a different approach to creating a society #i really just want to draw sabre tooth tigers and more neanderthals #well this one isnt a sabre tooth tiger but i didnt think of that yet #i would imagine the animals would evolve alongside the tech actually unlike humans #theres a word for where humans are evolutionary wise where we no longer evolve #anyway ive been wanting to make more art about being trans soo idk but ill keep twirling the idea round my head i think #as well as the water tower knight #art #traditional art #charcoal #mixed media #furry #sci fi #oc #oc art

#i have the usual reading book tracker #but awhile back i also made a list of wi state parks that includes park highlights and notes #then i made a tracker for my progress on the ice age trail #and yesterday i added a cute page for the mammoth challenge #this year i also made two separate workbooks to track my physical book collection to note what is unread and where to get audiobooks #and to track my game collection noting games that are unstarted in-progress or complete and notes to spark interest for mood gaming #then there is the whole ass workbook i put together to better track everything going on for my two characters used in the magical readathon #after adding a new readathon and challenge sheet to my reading tracker #oh and i made a tracking sheet for my books read crochet blanket #i swear i'm missing at least one but that might just be the work spreadsheets i have improved or created #text #personal

god the way i'm not exactly a mathematician or a scientist but i'll always be obsessed with how certain scientists explain the way they see love in the world or when mathematicians see the poetry behind the numbers

#caroline talks #when bill masters in masters of sex described gravity and love in the same breath #when my science professor explained to us how locust trees still grow these spiky branches bc they miss the mammoths #and when i started getting a lump in my throat after that class because oh. i get it now. i get why some people #are so devoted to this branch of academia.#or when i listen to engineers talk about the beautiful things they want to create #and how it really isn't all that different from artists and writers and musicians y'know #like. the act of creation. the act of discovery.#it's all because we love something or we're haunted by something and we're all figuring out *why*#and it makes me. want to scream.#my physics teacher once explained that physics and philosophy are so incredibly similar and that was the one comment #that got me curious about physics. and also philosophy tbh.#because it was that idea of two VASTLY different fields (at least on the surface) being obsessed with the same questions #human beings are all haunted by the same thing or whatever. we're all curious about the same thing. we're all reaching for the same thing!!

Hey y’all! I saw a drawing of a smilodon and now I’m thinking about, uh, I am blanking on the word. Prehistoric mammals? Animals in those years between “most creatures are dinosaurs” and “the present”? Whatever that word/phrase is, if I was going to plushify some of them, which one(s) should I plushify? If you have links to the best/cutest* art/drawing/sketches/etc of that creature, can you please include them? Sometimes the ideas of what the creatures look like are so disparate idk which one to go with *whichever metric of “best” you want to use for your favorite illustration. My knowledge of extinct creatures is very limited, and I’m not really going for realism in my plushie patterns, but I do want them to be recognizable
