so fun fact! only venemous snakes have fangs. "but what about the emerald tree boa?"

those aren't fangs. those are teeth.

Left is emerald tree boa, right is of a venomous snake. pretty sure it's a rattlesnake but not 100% sure. With teeth, there aren't just two big ones like the venomous snakes. Plus they're usually smaller. Emerald tree boas have the largest teeth of any snake.

Even in the black mamba, which has relatively small fangs, the teeth are tinier in comparison to the point where it looks like they're barely even there. just slightly spiky gums. Why am I talking about this? Look at rayquaza.

Day 23 of posting cute creatures we found on our field trip:

Hey, I’m back! And today’s creature is beyond special:

This is Balkan whipsnake (Dolichophis caspius). This is a fully grown adult. These colubrids are big, some grow over 2 meters in length. They have that wonderful copper colored head, shiny grey body and bright yellow belly. But they also have Black Air Force energy.

I’ve worked with these snakes a lot during my herpetology courses and oh my god, they are mean! They are called “whipsnakes” because they can actually hit you with their tail and because their scales are so tough, it hurts like a bitch. They love to bite. And they don’t have the “bite pose”. Most snakes coil up to prepare themselves to strike, but these do not. They are incredibly unpredictable and they can fucking jump. And on top of that, they have so much energy. Most snakes tire out in a very short period of time, but these do not. I don’t know how do they do it, but they can keep striking, swiggling and jumping for over an hour. And they do it while in the bag where we put snakes to calm down as well. They are unreal. A true menace to society.

But they eat rodents and venomous snakes so you want to have them around. And they are cute. Even though they bit me, I still love them. Here’s a cute juvenile as a bonus:

Juveniles have small black spots all over their body and are equally as crazy as the adults. That’s why we’re holding this one by her head. She bit three people.

Bel looks different here (yellow/orange eyes, different outfit, fangs, more intimidating), than he looks normally (dark brown eyes, slightly different outfit, slightly crooked teeth, very friendly and extroverted) because of the cursed jewel he has acquired

He slowly becomes more snake-like and pretty much becomes a human/snake demon throughout the story

however, you simply bow your head. "O great one, I am honored that you have casted your gaze onto this one. but I am afraid to admit, I have no deeper desire other than to serve you." you say, not looking up. "your kindness and generosity knows no bounds, o great one. please forgive this rude follower their refusal..."

jade is silent for a moment, before she lets out a laugh. "my, arent you an interesting one? come here, pet." you do as your told, and you suddenly find yourself in her embrace. "i can taste your sincerity, little one. i must confess, you've caught my eye for the longest time... and now, i think its time that i be selfish for a change."

without warning, jade's fangs pierce your neck, flooding you with her venom. you immediately black out. when you woke up, you find that your modest robes had been replaced with stringed jewels emphasizing the curves of your body. but that wasnt the only change. gone were your human legs, replaced with a brilliant snake tail that glistens with magic scales.

jade kisses the area where she bit you. "you're like me now, precious one. i wont ever let you go back to being a meager little human." she whispers. you close your eyes as the two of you kiss, tails coiled together while jade's worshippers sing her praises.
