medic. medic wip.
dear god the new medic cosmetics are,,, are.
i played the game for like. 5-6 hours straight? idk idr. my eyes. my poor eyes i am so so tired but so so happy too. i got to do some medic gaming!! it was so fun!!
i love applejack(ctf map) so much, it's just 2fort 2.0 sdfsdf and i love the lil pootis reference there. it's such a pretty map?? love love LOVE IT
overall the new maps are pretty cool! though, i didn't play on all of them yet, and i dont really like the uh,,, atom smash? map. the layout is confusing to me and it's difficult to keep the team alive as only medic because everyone is everywhere and you just. cannot find them before it's too late
by the way, when i was talking about "new medic cosmetics" i was referring specifically to Tropical Brim (the hat) and Watchmann's Wetsuit (the shirt). ALSO. spy's Tuxedo Royale? absolutely gorgeous. i'm going to draw spy with it sometime soon too
#im so so sleepy i just hope i drew the hand right and not uh reversed?? i promise ill fix my sleep schedule someday but.#that day is not today!! ahah. ha. ha... help.#tf2#team fortress 2#team fortress two#team fortress fanart#tf2 fanart#tf2 medic#medic tf2#painting sky blu art#and just in case. i did not spend any money on the game since like. mid april? when i joined. so i could use chat and voice commands y'know

Re: suits, there are hundreds of different types of suits, but the most common cuts are british, american and italian. I could see Lando (aka would love to see) most likely in an italian cut (slim tailoring on trousers and jacket, unstructured shoulders, light cloth (not colour but fabric) also looks very nice with an open collar and no tie...). Typical big brand names here are Zegna, Armani or Attolini, I personally love Kiton and Brioni as well, but just googling itlian cut suits should show some good results.
For Oscar, I would adore a (for once) properly tailored brutish cut suit (higher waistline for the trousers, more structure in the shoulders, tapered waist, thicker fabrics). Maybe even make it a proper three-piece bc ever since the wetsuit pics from Australia, I think we all agree that those curves need to be shown more often. Examples here are Ted Baker, Dunhill and ofc everything Savile row.
Tho if we keep with the Mclaren sponsors, Reiss does some great work as well. There's a double-breasted tuxedo jacket in this year's collection that I would love to see Lando in (then again tuxedos are a whole nother topic ...)
This got very long and is probably not very helpful but I love infodumping about fashion lol <3
i know you were self conscious about writing at length about this but all i have to say is: yes. here is some additional photographic evidence from my POV;
lando in snazzy italian tailoring, but to take the stylised vector a bit further:
exhibit a: asymmetric waistcoat with steampunk details
exhibit b: italian but with a fun pattern
exhibit c: open collar a step further, he could so rock a 70s suit. also just really need him to rock the gucci glasses with some shiny loafers like he’s sooooo got that vibe. im thinking how bruno mars and harry styles wear that kind of suiting sometimes
now to our elusive chanteuse f1 driver oscar jack. i feel like it’s, like what you described, about a classic style but with really fine details. good fabrics, simple cuts, plain colourways. below is pretty stylised but also this is rpf and it’s my playground and if we were claiming realism we should just put the rpf toys down full stop and i am not doing that!!
if taking a costume designer’s perspective too, there could be soooo much you could say with layering and pattern and contrast depending where we are in the story or plot. the idea of fic!oscar in a classic brit cut suit with tiny revealing details like a handkerchief (lando’s) or a button (a nod to a family member or a friend) is very dear to me.
the other option i like is a classic tux jacket with tails and crisp shirt and a a sky blue handkerchief, like idk that image also tickles me for some reason.
anyway so i had been thinking about a tailor AU- *loud scuffling noise as i try to put wayward au ideas back in their box*
p.s. oscar in dunhill... like u were cooking but u especially cooked w that one....
and tagging the people who might be interested in this conversation i invite y’all to weigh in!! @cx-boxbox @kichona-s and @jusst-you-race
#i need to stop thinking#landoscar#mctwinks#twinklaren#op81#ln4#it’s getting bad guys idk how i just see random things now and im like. how do i make this landoscar#wizrambles.txt

I have been seriously meaning to do this for a long time, I really wanted to like Inteleon, it should be one of my favorite pokemon, it mixes elements of a few of my all time favorite lizards: Chameleons, Basilisk, and the Flying Draco Lizard, and it's also a James Bond style Super Spy/Sniper who can turn invisible and shoot water bullets using finger guns. However something about the official Inteleon design just misses the mark with me and just spoils my enjoyment of it. It's hard to describe exactly what I don't like about the original design because it is so close to being something I would love, I kept my redesign very faithful to the original version and only changed the proportions and markings, I tried to make their body marking look more like they are wearing a Tuxedo/ Skin Tight Wetsuit and I added Purple and Green to their fins and wings incorporating a little of Drizzle's colors into their evolution and implying that these parts can change colors.
Also if I had it my way, I think Inteleon should have been Water/Ghost type.

What is your opinion on Secret Six's Etrigan and his many outfits? The image of him in a wetsuit is living rent free in my head.
I loved his various outfit changes throughout that appearance. The wetsuit and snorkel was my lockscreen for six months, and the tuxedo from issue nine was charming. Could not take him seriously in the shorts and red polo though.

Sir,
Recent weeks have seen speculation that the actor Idris Elba might be selected to play the next James Bond. As various commentators have correctly pointed out, it is simply ridiculous to suggest that James Bond could be played by a black man. In Fleming’s books it is quite clear that Bond is a Scottish milkman called Sean (Rough Diamonds Are Forever, p. 94).
To recast Bond as a member of an ethnic minority is quite simply unrealistic and I suggest the producers forget about such fanciful politically correct gimmicks and return to the stark realism of the early Bond films, in which Bond nearly has his genitals cut off by a laser, or turns a car into a plane, or goes to space, or uses an ejector seat to throw villains from his Aston Martin, or defuses a nuclear bomb in thirty seconds, or has an invisible car, or arrives on a beach with a tuxedo on under his wetsuit, or defeats an entire base of heavily armed men, armed with nothing more than a pencil.
To turn Bond into a black man completely defeats the hard work the filmmakers have done to make him a plausible, nuanced and three dimensional character.

Will a Wetsuit Keep You Dry?
Is a wetsuit waterproof? How does a wetsuit work?A wetsuit is not waterproof. When you are underwater, it soaks water immediately, absorbing only a small amount because of tiny holes in the suit that prevent excessive water retention and help maintain the wetsuit's buoyancy. Water that seeps in comes in contact with your skin but does not soak through it.
How does a wetsuit keep you warm, when you're underwater? A wetsuit helps regulate your body temperature underwater. A wetsuit gives thermal heat to the body, protecting it from cold sea water. It helps to retain body heat and avoid hypothermia, which is when body temperature drops below 95 degrees Fahrenheit and may lead to failure of the heart or respiratory system. It also protects the body from the sting of sea creatures and from abrasion
Wetsuit material is neoprene, foam rubber, which is chemically stable; whose cellular structure has nitrogen gas bubbles trapped in it. The bubbles trap body heat which makes neoprene a good heat insulator. A hot object releases its heat when it is in contact with cold water; this is the law of physics. Your body temperature warms the cold sea-water when your body comes in contact with it. If the water temperature is, say, 30 degrees, body heat adds to the water temperature so that the thin water layer is now 90 degrees .
The three layers now maintaining the warm temperature are your skin, the insulating layer of neoprene of your wetsuit, and the thin water layer trapped in the wetsuit. This water layer is in a vacuum so It can escape only when you remove your wetsuit.
Neoprene is flexible material and stretches to fit body contours. The fit of a wetsuit, which serves as your second skin, and its sealing portions must be in place, to maintain the warmth of this water layer. It must not allow cold sea water to constantly seep in, making it impossible to maintain the water layer temperature.
Wetsuit vs. Drysuit vs. Semi-dry Wetsuit
Wetsuits
Wetsuits are made of neoprene, a heat insulator. The wetsuit allows water to seep inside the suit, traps the water; the body heats the water layer inside between the suit and skin, and slows down the amount of heat the wearer loses.
Drysuits
Drysuits are made from material which is tri-laminated and waterproof. Unlike wetsuits, drysuits are baggy. Water does not penetrate any part of the drysuit. These are used in very cold water, as in the Arctic and Antarctic regions..
Drysuit is a full-body design that is entirely water-tight. Drysuit material is neoprene or synthetic rubber and has a very tough outer shell. The wearer's neck and wrists are secured with flexible rubber seals or gaskets, to prevent water from entering. There are two parts to the seals, an inner and outer seal. Each part has a flexible rubber membrane around the skin to prevent entry of water. These membranes are flexible so the wearer can move easily. The zipper of the main suit is waterproof.
And since the drysuit fully keeps out water, the wearer can wear any clothes underneath.
Semi-dry Suits
A disadvantage of a wetsuit is that is not able to completely prevent the heated water from escaping. And cold sea water enters the suit, replacing the warm water. To address this problem, there are now semi-dry suits, made possible by modern wetsuit technology such as special seams, seals, fleece . Or latex and rubber seals are sewn in to these semi-dry suits to prevent the escape of heat.
Types ofWetsuits
All types are made of neoprene. Wetsuits mainly aim to keep divers warm underwater, in different weather conditions, different seasons.
Different Types of Wetsuits
Wetsuit Thickness
Types vary according to the thickness level of neoprene to adjust to each season or regional climate.
Wetsuits for warm water diving are between 2 - 4 millimeters thick
Wetsuits for moderately cold water diving are between 5 - 7 millimeters thick
Wetsuit Designs
Full length suits are called "buy4outdoors" and cover your whole body until the joints of your feet. Cover the entire arms until the wrists. Can be worn with a hood, diving gloves, booties. Used by divers in cold water dives.
Shorties or shorty suits cover the torso of wearer with short sleeves and short leggings. Shorties cover the torso, a portion of the arms up to the mid-biceps and a portion of the legs onto the middle of thigh. They offer least warmth and are worn for protection from sea creature stings and sun damage. Used by surfers and snorkelers in warm tropical beaches
A pair of trunks with a dive vest for shallow dives. A full wetsuit is not needed in warm climates, as in the Middle East.
1 piece wetsuit covers the entire body, except for the wrists and ankles. Material is neoprene, with insulation properties. It is light in weight.
2-piece wetsuit are usually for cold waters. The first piece, or bottoms, covers the torso and legs down to the ankles. The second piece, or tops, covers the torso and arms, onto the wrists. Added insulation around the torso makes it warmer than a one-piece wetsuit. Divers in cold weather prefer this double layer at the torso that ensures that the central core is warm.

My Tuxedo Wetsuit
The dive crew after two dives at Cenotes Tajma Ha
I had to say it!
My new custom rashguard with hood
The Wetsuit Tuxedo and rashguard were both custom made by Sea Gods Wetsuit based in Indonesia. They were made during my last dive trip to Komodo. The process was simple, I visited their shop in Bali and they took measurements, I selected the design and accessories. Generally, they turn…

i love stories like these💛✨ Posted @withrepost • @californialocos Jack O’Neill began body surfing in the late 1930s and was a Navy pilot during WWII. In 1949, he moved to San Francisco to attend SF State University. In 1952, he founded the O’Neill brand while opening one of California’s first surf shops in a garage on the Greay Highway in SF, close to his favorite bodysurfing break at the time. O’Neill popularized the neoprene wetsuit, creating an endless summer for surfers around the world. By 1960, he was laminating an elastic nylon jersey lining to the neoprene foam to prevent it from tearing and to make it easier to put on. O’Neill made his first full-length model within a decade. His technical innovations and marketing acumen transformed his business from a humble store into the international leader in wetsuit sales. In 1996, O’Neill established O’Neill Sea Odyssey, a marine and enviornmental education program that provides students with hands-on lessons in marine biology and that teaches the relationship between the oceans and the environment. It has hosted about 100,000 children since it started. An avid outdoorsman, O’Neill was also an aviator and a hot-air balloonist and invented a sailing craft that could travel over sand on wheels. In 2002, O’Neill received an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, which he accepted wearing a tuxedo and flip-flops. — @oneillusa #CaliforniaLocos https://www.instagram.com/p/CinHA1mKFGYTMnB42VajmUDhWEGbBXO76G4xLU0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
