Pro:

Kirk and Spock playing chess and being friends!

Kirk as a huge nerd (and not the modern pop culture womanizer) confirmed!

Defines Kirk as a captain, leading with logic / intelligence and humanity (he knows he has to stop Mitchell- logic, but waits until the last possible moment to give him a chance- passion, empathy)

also Kirk making sure both of their service records are pristine despite what happened between them

to be honest Mitchell wasn't a great friend – he manipulated Kirk, makes fun of him. Also he's also not professional on the job & disrespects Dehner? (which is an intersting contrast to Kirks friends now, Spock & McCoy)

Nice special effects (the eyes glittering that way makes them both less human and devoid of emotion)

great sci-fi plot with a moral dilemma for Kirk

First time Kirk / the crew would have lost if not for the one-time female character saving the day

even good people can and will be corrupted by power and start to see their own friends as lesser (if we ignore Mitchell just..not being that great a person even before he transforms)

This is underlined by Mitchell becoming worse the more power he gets

Cons:

Inconsistencies (Worse than in other episodes as this was filmed first and a while ahead of the others. See Clothes, characters roles and behaviour, some strange interactions and Kirk lore)

once they beam down on the planet the episode drags until the end of the fight

I have been taking a decent amount of photos of myself for the past 2 years and I have not posted any of them really. #chukkaboot

Here goes some excuses I would make as to not posting these photos:

1. I don't look good enough.

2. It isn't good enough.

But it is crazy how you can look at a photo that someone hates of themselves, and typically, that photo is a lot doper than what you originally thought. #chelseabootsmen

ガンジーセーターとは、17世紀からガンジー島に伝わる伝統的なセーターで、過酷な寒空の海に出る漁師のため、一針一針に無事と安全を祈りながら家族が編み上げた、チャネル諸島にあるガンジー島の伝統的ニットに由来します。

1976年にガンジー島で創業したGUERNSEY WOOLLENS（ガンジーウーレンズ）社が作りだすニットは、イギリス産ピュアヴァージンウールに、脱脂を控え強い撚りをかけて生み出された糸を使ったもので、

独特の質感ながらも、その保湿性や防風性・耐久性は抜群で、何より保温性の高さには驚くばかりです。

高機能素材にはない天然の素材だけが持つ、素朴でありながらも力強さが感じられます。

こちらは、定番のガンジーセーター同様、イギリス産ピュアヴァージンウールに、脱脂を控え強い撚りをかけて生み出された糸を使ったもので、ファッション性と防寒性の高いアラン編みのフィッシャーマンズセーターで、タートルネック仕様になっていますので、非常に防寒性、保温性の高いアイテムです。

アラン模様とはアイルランドのアラン諸島の海の男のために500年前から編まれている独特の模様のことです。

昔からアラン諸島は漁業を生業とする地でした。

極寒の荒れ狂う冬の海に出かけて行く漁師には防水と防寒のための仕事着としてのセーターが必需品でした。

そんな夫のために妻は羊を飼い、糸を紡ぎ、一針一針に無事と安全を祈りながら編み上げました。

少しでも風を防ぐ様にと糸を交差させ、命綱やロープをイメージした縄編み、大漁を願った模様など、さまざま��願いが込められて模様が作り出されていきました。

多くの家族が自分達の着るセーターに色々なパターンのバリエーションを加え手編みしています。

それは家紋の意味合いもあった様ですが、実際には夫が万が一遭難した時、判別できるようにと、

それぞれの家庭の模様を生み出したといわれています。

肩幅を広めにとり、身頃に対して垂直な袖付けなど現在も昔ながらの製法で、ニットの各パーツを機械で

それぞれ編み上げてから、手仕事で縫い合わせられています。

タートルネック部分、袖口と裾は、やや長めのリブステッチ（ゴム編み）でしっかりと外気の侵入を防ぎ、動きやすさにも配慮された作りです。

ネックは、しっかりと首元を覆うやや高めのタートルネックでインナーにカットソーをあわせて頂くのは

全体的にはベージックな程よくゆとりのあるシルエットですので、シャツやカットソーとのレイヤードにも最適で、アウターとしても存在感のあるニットです。
