i got wrenflight and turtlecrawl confused and thought it was turtle who was padding after rootspring, the cat who used to bully him as an apprentice, and that's why he called her a mousebrain. but she's not, so rootspring just called a random girl stupid. eh? the end of ivypool's heart made it very clear that rootspring wants a mate to have kits with but she has to be "worthy" of bristlefrost. so he's just going to go around calling she-cats dumb until he finds a worthy one? rootspring was my favorite tbc protagonist but he's so weird in ivypool's heart, it's like he cares more about the kits he's missing out on because bristlefrost died than bris herself. and ivypool keeps agreeing with him!

But yeah Turtlecrawl design because I liked her name and shes Skyclan so ✊ FAV CLAN

Some design notes as well:

-Based off an Eastern Box Turtle

-Pretty short (though its hard to tell with the fur)

-Speaking of her back fur, it’s in the shape of a turtle shell

Turtlecrawl is such a funny name. Leafstar looked at this TORTOISESHELL cat named TURTLEpaw during her warrior ceremony and said “You know what. It’s not enough that you look like a turtle. I think you walk kinda funny, too.”

Between that and “Pigeonfoot” Leafstar really has been on a roll with the weird and slightly insulting names recently lol

Bit of a sketchy Saturday with our current family tree! This was originally gonna end at sparrow, tiny, fallow, and wasp but I wanted to start designing their parents and god I already found the inbreeding. These are far from perfect as it’s mainly to show how the genes are passing on through the generations. It’s a lofty goal to someday fill all these characters in, but hey I’ll try my best! Some of these designs haven’t been posted yet but just wait a little bit and they will!
