Just watched Turbo again - yk, the movie about the snail who gets dipped in nitrous oxide, basically becomes a car, meets a Mexican guy who co-owns a taco truck, gets entered into the indie 500, and wins - and I know the point of that movie is some sort of "you can be anything you want to be" message, but was I the only one getting trans imagery too? I mean obvi the writers probably didn't have that in mind, but I mean come on:

He always felt like he didn't fit his body;

He chose a name that fit his identity better than his old one (Turbo instead of Theo);

His brother and fellow garden snails mocked him for wanting to be fast despite what "mother nature" dealt him, and refused to call him by his chosen name other than mockingly;

Finally he gets a body that suits his image of himself, but when he loses the super power, he feels terrible, and it takes his brother finally acknowledging that he is what he claims to be, for him to get back his motivation to continue... etc etc etc.

The list goes ON. Am I the only one who saw it?

And hello first of all xD after two months I think

This drawing took like two parts of my soul when I made it 💀 I suffered and it took me a long time doing it although it may not seem like it, but I think in the end it was worth it despite the imperfections. And I must say that I am very outraged that this ship is hardly talked about ,:") It seems strange to me that not much is said about this ship because it is one of the oldest in the fandom, but hey, here is my little contribution 💖

And yup, Turbo's shell is traced, it's a desperate measure I resorted to and I'm not at all proud of it; although I can assure you that the rest was completely done by me.

And it should be noted that this drawing, in addition to being inspired by a scene from the movie, is also a redrawing of another redrawing(?

I like to think that Felix and Turbo didn’t get along at first. Turbo, being the competitive freak he is, sees Felix as a potential rival and frequently scoffs at him or tries to annoy him.

On the other hand, Felix tries to be patient and a good neighbor, but Turbo often manages to get on his nerves.

For Turbo, this scoffing soon turns into a need for attention

even though he doesn’t quite understand why.

For Felix, tolerating Turbo becomes a habit and he stops getting as frustrated as before, focusing on other things, which only makes Turbo crave his attention more.

Turbo: “You may be the shiny perfect new game, but everyone knows who’s really the best around here, repair-boy”

Felix: “Come on, Turbo, there's no need to be so jealous. Just... stop bugging me. It's not my fault everyone’s playing my game-”

Turbo: “The gamers might like you for now, but let’s face it, it’s me they truly adore”
