My Welcome Message!

Hello again everyone! I know I completely forgot to let y'all know where I'm from in my Bio above, but that's OK! No-one is perfect. I think it's better to let y'all know that I am from the beautiful Twin island nation called Trinidad and Tobago. Yeah! I am a Caribbean boy to my heart and I am not ashamed to say so. Everyone must be proud of where they were born and raised. Home is the best place on Earth. By the way I am 25yrs young, I don't drink, smoke, I don't do drugs. I am 6ft'7, 112lbs, I have brown skin. I am a straight black dude who loves women, however I am currently single and I have no kids. I don't do 1 night stands because they're too risky, so don't even bother asking. I am quite spontaneous, I always like trying out and discovering new things that I might like. I am not a nightclub or a late night party guy. However I love going out to dinners and other functions not related to partying at nightclubs.

My hobbies are:

1) Anything related to Fitness; preferably Swimming,football,doing regular excercises.

2)I love going to the movies and have a Gd time.

3) I love reading and writing.

4) I Love playing my national instrument called as the steel pan.

5) I love listening to music, especially when working out.

And that's about it for my hobbies.

JAMPRO To Highlight Jamaican Products In Chile

In an effort to promote Jamaican products in the Latin American and Caribbean markets, Jamaica Promotions (JAMPRO) will be leading a delegation of agribusiness companies to LAC Flavours, to be held in Chile’s capital, Santiago.

The business matchmaking event, which is organised by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), will be held from September 24 to 25. The activity is part of JAMPRO’s thrust to increase the export sales of non-traditional exports in non-traditional markets.

With the IDB’s sponsorship, JAMPRO, alongside Jamaican Teas Limited, Honey Bun Limited, Carita Jamaica Ltd and Grace Agro Processors will be participating in business meetings and networking with suppliers, buyers, and influencers along the food value chain from across the region. JAMPRO aims to secure distribution opportunities for the companies and to expand the reach of Jamaican products into Latin America and the Caribbean.

Excellent Platform For The Exporters

The agency believes that the LAC Flavours show will be an excellent platform for the exporters as the event has reported export sales results of over US$762 million among its exhibitors for its nine events staged up to 2016. The event also highlights market trends and new technologies in the food service area, among other topics relevant to the exporters who will be in attendance. This year’s staging of LAC Flavours is a collaboration between the IDB and Espacio Food & Service 2018.

With JAMPRO seeking to support companies in building and reinforcing their brands, the agency’s president, Diane Edwards, said that Jamaican products need new markets to bring more US dollars to the economy and to strengthen Jamaican manufacturers by expanding their base. “We have seen great progress in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and a few other markets. What JAMPRO wants to do is to strengthen local manufacturers by opening the doorways to new markets that we have not explored fully to know the possibilities.”

Edwards said that Jamaica needs to increase its exports to the region to not only develop the economy, but to bolster diplomatic ties to encourage cooperation in trade.

“Logistically and culturally, it makes sense for Jamaica to look to Latin America and the Caribbean for exports, especially in the food-related sectors. We have seen success from our Caribbean Market Mission, which targeted The Bahamas, Barbados, and Trinidad and Tobago last year, and we are gradually gaining ground in Cuba. The potential is there. It is for JAMPRO to now identify the opportunities and lead our exporters to these new markets that exist regionally.”

JAMPRO’s next regional trade mission will head to the Havana International Trade Fair in Cuba in October.

I have never been a supporter of the People’s National Movement and I am certainly no fan of our Prime Minister. But fair is fair and facts are facts. Trinidad and Tobago is in a much better position economically than Barbados is. Those who were gushing over Mia Mottley’s speech at the UN summit on climate change have shown blithe disregard for Barbados’s startling debt to GDP ratio which is around 144 per cent. They were too busy being impressed with her smoothness to notice such things. Whether the people in Barbados were equally impressed is another question. Those who are worried about her recent US$115m loan from China may be more concerned with “IMF” than “Code Red”. Images of Rowley addressing an empty room may amuse shallow people, but no one can say Rowley tried to bully the developed world out of their money. Just imagine what the people of the developed world must be thinking! Well, the sensible ones at least. Since when does the developed world have a collective responsibility for the Third World? One of the most damning signs of our time is the contempt we have for personal responsibility. Collective irresponsibility seems to be in vogue and Mottley received a standing ovation for blaming others for her problems. When Keith Rowley went looking for vaccine donations, “Vaccine Vagrant” became the running gag. If any of those people had an honest bone in their body, or any sense of self-awareness, they’d be equally quick to call Mottley a beggar. But Mia Mottley has that special slickness about her to convince people that her lecture on climate change really isn’t just an appeal for donations.
