İzmir'in Egesi olmayı bıraktım.Aslında hiç olmamıştım hiçbir manası yoktu.Sadece kendimi kandırdığımı yeni farkettim.Bu yüzden soğuk bir güneş olmayı tercih ediyorum.İşte bunun birçok manası var.Güneş her zaman sıcaktır aslında...Yani soğumadıysa.Güneşin soğuk olması ilk başta sıcak olduğu anlamına geliyor Fakat bu sıcacık güneş her şeye karşı soğumuş.Adını da soğukgüneş koymuşlar.Bu güneş herkese karşı sıcakken bazı kişiler tarafından sıcaklığın karsılığını alamamış ve sıcaklığı düşmüş ama halen sıcak.Sonra belirli kişilere sıcak davranmış fakat onların yaptığı şeyler daha da soğutmuş güneşi sıcaklığı iyice düşmüş.Daha sonra bir karar vermiş,kimseye karşı sıcak olmayacakmış.İşte en son tamamen soğuk olmaya karar vermiş.Bu sefer kimse kalmamıştı etrafında,tek başındaydı, yalnızdı ve soğuktu.Bu sefer de kimse olmadığı için zarar görmüş ve iyice soğumuş,buza dönüşmüş.Kimseye sıcaklığını vermek istemiyor(içten içe istiyor) ama ne yazıkkı korkuyor.Ya tekrardan zarar görüp soğursam diye korkuyormuş.Etrafındaki hiçbir gezegene sıcaklığından verememiş korktuğu için ve güvenemediği için.Ama bir kere birisi onu incitmese,kırmasa o tüm sıcaklığını verecekmiş ama belirli bir kişiye.O zamandan beri bu güneşin adı sogukgünes olmuş güvenmekten korktuğu için,sevmekten korktuğu için,değer vermekten korktuğu için.Hatta bazen sıcaklığını vermek istiyor ama o kadar korkuyor ki o sıcaklığını veremiyor.İşte bunun adı sogukgünes.Ya da soğuyan güneş mi deseydim?

She must be right because how could evil incarnate be so fortunate to have Heaven on Earth in his arms after all he'd done? Her touch, her scent, and her voice felt like home in this moment. Always one to talk too much and ruin the moment, he decided it was best in this moment to just hold her close and rub her back and shoulders gently. "Thank you for everything, Detective." He held her close and hoped to Dad that this would never end.

Despite a literal eternity of being told otherwise, when Chloe tells Lucifer he's not a monster, he believes her. When she says he's a good person, he smiles and wants nothing more than to kiss her. The vulnerability the Detective had on the Devil went far beyond compromising him to a mortal fate. It meant she affected him in such deep, profound ways like no other human ever has or likely ever will. It meant that being here with her was better than the Silver City itself. "Thank you, Detective. Thank you... and you have my word that in the future, I'll try to be a massive dick only where it counts. At least with you." Lucifer was never beyond a dirty joke, even in such a serious moment. He felt it lightened the mood, but it was quickly abandoned once Chloe started to cry. Drying his human's tears was of utmost priority then.

Lucifer stroked Chloe's tear-stained face with one hand, holding her tight with his other arm. "Oh, Detective..." He wiped a falling tear with his thumb, tracing gentle circles on her soft flesh as he looked into her eyes. "I'm not going anywhere. I'll be here as long as you'll have me. I'll be whatever you need from me. Partners 'til the end, and whatever else..." He leaned in, his own teary face close to hers. "I can't even tell you the last time I've cried, let alone in front of anyone. And you know I'm only ever honest."
