The writing beans are on vacation without me ರ⁠╭⁠╮⁠ರ so I haven't gotten much of anything done at. all. But! Thanks to Nolan (*forehead kiss*) I've gone back to my sub Eddie fic!! The beginning needs to be adjusted a little- anything before this snippet is... meh. So while I fix that and hopefully get to the good stuff 😏 have one of my favorite moments:

"I'd take you apart," he whispers, leaning into Eddie's space. "Tease you until you're shaking with pleasure only I can give you." Heat sparks in Eddie's chest as Buck's gaze rakes over him. He's been checked out before, it's not even uncommon, but from Buck it's… different. The space Eddie had noticed earlier is gone, replaced by Buck’s knee on the cushion, letting him lean closer. Eddie doesn't dare look away. He doesn't dare breathe. Buck can't be serious. It's all talk. For all he knows, Buck's going to lean back and laugh about the whole thing and they'll go back to their movie. But Buck keeps his gaze locked on Eddie, his pupils blown wide, his eyes darkening. He leans closer, so he's looming over Eddie, a hand on the armrest behind Eddie's back. The movement makes Eddie lean back, only slightly. He's torn between making space in case this is a joke, and closing the gap between them. Tentatively, he trails his hand up Buck's arm, to his shoulder. The smallest smirk graces Buck's lips. Normally, Eddie doesn't notice just how big Buck is. Eddie thinks he should feel boxed in. But he doesn't. He trusts Buck implicitly. All he can feel is excitement, if a little nervousness. It's not like they've been in this position before. "The only decision you have to make," Buck practically purrs, tilting his head with a smirk, "is whether or not you want it." His eyes flick to Eddie's mouth. Eddie finds himself doing the same, his gaze focused on plump pink lips. If they do this, there's no turning back. At least not for Eddie. He doesn't know if Buck's suggesting a one time thing. At the moment, he doesn't care. He leans up and closes the distance between them, slotting their lips together.

Animal of the Day!

Cuban Crocodile (Crocodylus rhombifer)

Conservation Status- Critically Endangered

Habitat- Western Cuba

Size (Weight/Length)- 75 kg; 2.2 m

Diet- Small mammals; Fish; Turtles

Cool Facts- Do yourself a favor and watch a video of a Cuban crocodile galloping. These highly territorial reptiles have small dog energy and are willing to chase off the much larger American alligator that they share their home with. Cuban crocodiles may be the only crocodile to hunt in coordinated packs to take down much larger prey, showing off extraordinary levels of intelligence. Sadly, Cuban crocodiles are almost extinct in the wild due to mass hunting for their skin and meat, along with general fear for territorial predators. Luckily, zoos across the world are captive breeding Cuban crocodiles with hope for reintroduction to the wild.

Rating- 13/10 (Can run 35 kilometers per hour.)

i've gotten the first half of the drunk eddie fic done and ooohhh boyyy it's a lot more than i thought it was going to be, the girls r fightinggggg >:) here, have the exact opposite of a tease and have a full snippet because i have no self control!

By the time he got back to his room, Buck was putting a glass of water on the nightstand next to a bottle of painkillers. “For the morning,” He said when he noticed Eddie looking.

“I doubt it’ll be that bad,” Eddie said, walking towards the bed and only stumbling a little. “A headache maybe.”

“Yeah, yeah, you and your magical abilities to not get bad hangovers,” Buck chuckled, throwing back the covers so Eddie could slid in.

“You’re just jealous,” Eddie joked, feeling lighter than he had all night at the familiar banter between them. This was normal. They could go back to normal and forget this night ever happened. Maybe Eddie could pretend he didn’t remember anything in the morning and that would be that.

“You have no idea,” Buck mumbled under his breath. He gave Eddie an innocent look when he made a questioning sound, not having heard what Buck said. “Try to get some sleep, yeah? We can talk in the morning.”

“You gonna be here in the morning or are you gonna go out with Natalia?” Eddie muttered, his eyes already closing as he laid down against his pillow. He didn’t see the expressions that danced across Buck’s face, the shock or the confusion.

“What does Natalia have to do with anything?” Buck asked, his heart racing. Was Eddie jealous?

Eddie looked at him through sleepy eyes. “You’d rather hang out with her than me,” He said, his voice soft and raw. “You only wanted to hang out tonight cause she was busy. I guess I shouldn’t be upset about that, it’s not like that’s going to change. She’s your priority now, I get it.”

“That’s not true—” Buck started but stopped. “Eddie—”

But Eddie had already fallen asleep, the beer and whiskey catching up to him and making him pass right out the second he was comfortable in bed.

Still working on the arson fic, but Rae's Spooktober prompts have inspired me to work on part 2 of I'll Catch You (I really need to decide on the title 😅). I'm torn between "Cause I'ma Stay Through It All" and "And Without A Warning." Any preference? I'm still torn...

“Start from the beginning, boys,” she said as she approached. “Eddie had a bad night last night. He got up early to get breakfast, then called saying he had a flat tire. But the call dropped. We went to get him, only he's not here,” Buck explained. “And his phone is smashed,” Chris said, pointing to it with a crutch. “No one else has heard from him?” Athena asked. “I- I haven't tried anyone else,” Buck said. “I thought maybe someone in one of these houses saw something, but I haven't had a chance to start asking.” “I'll get some officers on that,” Athena said. “And forensics to check his truck. But boys…” She looked between them. Chris looked up at Buck, his eyes wide. Buck smoothed a hand over his curls and focused on Athena. “What happened, ‘Thena?” Athena shook her head, her lips a thin line. “I suppose you haven't watched channel 8 news this morning?” “Dad hates that channel,” Chris said. Athena huffed a laugh. “I'm with him there, honey.” She looked at Buck. “Taylor did a special segment this morning.” Buck frowned. “About what?” “About the thin man she said didn't exist when we found Eddie,” she said. Anger burned in Buck's throat. That man had been haunting Eddie for weeks, bringing nightmares, panic attacks, and hyper-vigilance that made him jump at the slightest sound. It made Buck's heart ache to see Eddie so scared. “What did she do?” Buck asked, his voice low.
