Alright, I'm going to write my own thoughts down on the situation, sorry if this gets rambly
First of all, Shubble is so brave for speaking up, it's really hard for victims to speak up against there abusers in a public setting and she deserves all the respect in the world for it
That being said we do need to be mindful to give her space, this was a really traumatic thing for her and we all need to be mindful of that, give her room to breath.
On the same lines, don't go after other ccs for not ""releasing statements"", content creators aren't companies, there people. Don't get on at them for not publicly supporting Shubble, especially since there undoubtedly doing it in private, which is probably better than shoving it out there for millions of people to see. Let people support there friend in a way they and shubble are confortable with, if shubble wants them to say something or they think they need to say something themselves, they will say it.
It's like Pearl said, just because you don't see something happening publicly doesn't mean it isn't happening
Also, don't jump to call Tommy or Phil or Grian or anyone else enablers because they haven't said anything, they'll need time to process this too, it's hard to find out that your friend is a domestic abuser, let them process this in piece and don't try to cancel them over nothing like a fool. (People like Tommy will need time especially since Wilbur befriended them when they were young and by all accounts manipulated them too)
If anyone of these people have anything they feel they need to say they'll say it when there good and ready, good life tip folks:Don't Harass People. Especially if they have almost nothing to do with this (honestly Saw someone say they were going to go on to fucking RT about this despite him not knowing either person very well, the fuck)
I know why people do it, they want to make sure there favourite content creators aren't also bad, but they are people and they deserve respect, I can garentee you that almost no Qsmp or Hermitcraft or Other MCYT member who knew him stands with Wilbur
(Also if anyone brings Techno into this fuck right off let the man rest.)
Also, some brain dead morons are saying that people calling out wilbur are doing it for clout and that they should have done it sooner, but most of the abuse happened in private, and wilbur manipulated others, many wouldn't have realised anything was wrong and if they did its still better and more respectful to come forward after shubble since its HER story to tell.
(This attack also doesn't work anymore because we have things like tubbos stream, where he actively discourages his chat from treating him like a hero for speaking out, but yeah sure they all don't give a shit about shubble and just want to make themselves look better, fuck outta here)
Now, if your a former wilbur fan, let me make this super clear
DONT WATCH HIM AND DONT LISTEN TO HIS MUSIC
"BuT SePuRaTe ThE ArT FrOm ThE Arti-
Nah. That doesn't work here. You can separate a book or game or movie, you can't with a cc. Its there face, there voice, there personality. Find a different band, find a different CC to watch. There are other options, I know it sucks to find out someone you like did an awful thing, but that doesn't mean we should support those people for our sakes, especially when people were actively hurt by there actions. Trust me everyone, this will get better, things will go back to how they were before
Finally, this should go without saying, Fuck William Gold to the core of teh fucking earth. And any who still support him.
He is a raging egotistical manipulator and abuser. don't blame people for not seeing it sooner, no one can do that. What we can do though is blame people who still wholeheartedly support him and his actions.
He has not "changed" nor will he ever at the rate at which he's going. He's still a egomaniac who's more concerned with saving his image than actually apologising for his actions, even then an apology wouldn't fix all he's done,it would just be closer and a jumping off point to be better, but he can't even fucking do that.
If wilbur does reflect and grow, good on him, but if he doesn't then I can say with absolute certainty we wouldn't fucking miss him.
Fuck Wilbur. Support Shelbym

you know, I think the thing that made c!phil's writing kind of janky and discordant is Also exactly what makes cc!phil's Strength as a roleplayer
the best way to put it is that phil is the epitome of Yes And. wilbur tells him to kill him and it was a Choice, there was no script that told him that wilbur Had to die that night. but wilbur asked him to and so he did.
wilbur Also asked him to look after tubbo and tommy, So He Did. he fought for l'manberg on the 16th (fought Against dream and techno), and agreed to become a part of l'manberg's government as a mentor figure.
but techno was his friend and they wanted to spend time together when they were online so why be anything else in lore? of Course they're old friends, of Course they spend time together.
the problem arise when there's Conflict between these two groups. because phil Must choose what to do and say and believe at any given moment, to justify Why he would choose to do whatever it he is about to do. but at the end of the day that choice Mostly comes down to what would be cool or fun or interesting in the moment.
and I think ! that there's absolutely nothing wrong with this, and it's actually a Really good mindset to have in the context of this kind of roleplay. and it worked really well early on. it's Interesting that phil Would have a completely uncomplicatedly loyal relationship with techno right away when he Did explicitly stand against him on that first day. it Says Something about their relationship. maybe even implies that they've fought each other before, but it doesn't impact their relationship with each other.
the problem is when it starts contradicting and Twisting and being weird. mainly when it comes to characters that he Both has major conflict with And want to have a positive relationship with him. it becomes a question of Why phil would do something that would hurt them if he cares about them.
after all, it's not just hurt feelings, it's war. even if they had no Intent on killing anybody, it still Could Have ended with people dead.
and again ! that's not an inherently Bad Thing. it actually opens to the door for a lot of interesting character conflict and introspection !
phil is a Very old being, his best friend is famous for being unkillable, his wife is Actually Death who casually possesses him sometimes. having phil be somewhat out of touch with humanity in a way where he doesn't Really understand the emotional weight and Danger of what he's done would make sense ! and of course, that's just one possible explanation that could be replaced with or coincide with another reading.
but it's all complicated Further by there being a very strong ideological bend to the conflicts he's involved with. because it Feels like for him to engage with said conflict Meaningfully he must weigh in with his own take on the ideological conflicts. he's playing a supporting role to technoblade after all, and on paper his entire character Is one big ideological conflict.
but what phil's ideology actually Is shifts to suit whatever story line he needs to support at a given moment, rather than being set in stone First with his role in those story lines being chosen based on a preexisting belief.
and honestly I really Don't blame cc!phil for this, because On Paper the jump in justification for these supporting roles he's played don't look very different. and in fact, you can See where one follows the conclusion to another.
but "choose people" above all else, to the point of being Shocked that tommy might hesitate in the conflict with dream that has the weight of protecting the entire server riding on it, really Does Not gel with whatever happened on doomsday or with letting dream out of prison.
moreover, it only highlights a conflict in ideology between phil and techno. the use of violence as default Even Against active allies or people who'd been considered allies 5 minutes ago doesn't seem to gel with whatever phil had going on in the post-prison break out era.
having phil enable dream to torment tommy during doomsday feels very contradictory to phil's shocked offense that dream would torment A Child the first chance he got after breaking out.
and again ! none of this is inherently a Flaw, it could all be very interesting as set ups for character conflict and as an examination for phil's Own character flaws. having contradictions like this isn't inherently Bad writing when it can so easily be Interesting. open up the door for Richer character writing.
the problem isn't even that none of this was intentional at the time that it was happening, but rather that nobody really seemed to notice it at all. so rather than it being used as a tool to bounce off of For that character examination and conflict. it just kinda. Is.
I think ! what phil needed, and what the server As A Whole needed, was stronger Direction. it's what made the early arcs work as well as they did, because Everyone knew the what the core story Was and could figure out ways to cohesively bounce off of them.
the revolution, the elections, the civil war, they were all Strong skeletons with clear factions and ideologies at play. and so even when people were doing their own things it all Felt Cohesive.
and of course, the dream smp Stopped having a key writer for the those big plot moments with the intent of giving people more personal freedom in their writing. but I think it only served a Lack Of Identity. people who didn't already have a stake in the key conflicts that were already on the server struggled to find their way into them. and struggled to find relevancy Without them.
and I think this was felt the most in the way that people were both afraid of stepping on anybody's toes while Also getting in each other's way like a football field.
like, I Loved tommy's death and resurrection arc. and the sheer Surprise of it and the aftermath was truly incredible to see.
but it was also Weird that people weren't given the chance to react to it on their own terms. like, why did they plan the syndicate meeting months in advance just to have it dropped on them with no way to prepare for or modulate their responses?
phil and techno's reactions to tommy's death are So Weird when we consider their relationship with him both before And After. and it's difficult to reconcile because it's Understandable that the cc's didn't want to derail their planned lore to make it About tommy's story line. But It's Not Like We Can Pretend It Didn't Happen Either.
and there's lots of ways that people have tried to reconcile this, lots of ways that I've even personally Enjoyed. but in terms of what's actually In the source material It Just Kind Of Is.
phil cares about tommy, he wants to guide him and protect him because he recognizes that he's a child in a dangerous position, but he also laughs when he hears dream beat him to death in prison and he also laughed while dropping bombs on tommy's head with dream at his side. and these all just kind of Are.
I can't even tell if this is all weirder before or after canon sbi was retconned.
and so these inconsistencies tug at all of the major story beats that phil's character is involved with, all while all of them Mostly work well in isolation. and it's so easy to see how this could've been avoided with stronger direction and story planning.
in other words, It's Dream's Fault.

So what’s going on in the mall at? (Also hi)
-watch anon
hi!
purpled is being stalked by dream because tommy has a restraining order against him (little fun fact: sometimes ranboo picks him up from therapy because they're friends and ranboo can drive)
purpled used to steal from skeppy's jewelry shop and give them as gifts to jack, but now that he's in a stable home with a stable foster parent (it's techno, who couldn't bear to let another blond kid down- funny how his similarities to tommy make him a target to some and sympathetic to others), he's doing his best to actually buy things
he has a part time job at the boutique that eret and schlatt run, to keep him from Doing Crime
I think tubbo and ranboo adopted a naked mole rat which is sooo ugly but they love it anyway
uuuuhhhh
i think dream is gonna die.
fr, I think punz (who is currently trapped, so that dream has somewhat unfiltered access to his blond of choice) is gonna escape and then kill him, maybe rescue purpled from a dangerous confrontation w/dream in the process
aaand....I'm sure techno would be happy to sign custody back to punz-- provided he has a job and a house where purpled can be safe and have some normal teenage years. maybe he'll hire punz to his coffee shop, Arctic Iced, to help him out.
they conspire together and get the kid a dog. they were definitely not expecting it to be so big (irish wolfhound ayyooo) but its too late now, purpled and the dog (Champ :) ) are besties forever
and dream is dead but tommy and purpled still have issues with each other, and remembering not to blame each other for their traumas with dream, but it's fine, they're fine
also booran gets a cat and will eventually make friends with tommy, even though it's hard to hang out with him because ranboo doesn't believe he really exists and tubbo takes ranboo's side about it just to be a nuisance (also he's just as clingy as tommy, no matter how much he denies it lmao)

my belief on why Techno didn’t say anything about Tubbo in his will, is because Techno already knows that Tubbo forgives Techno. Because right after the Festival, within the Ravine of Pogtopia, Tubbo states that he understands why Techno did what he did. Tubbo already stated that he forgave Techno, meaning Techno didn’t seem like he had any reason to include Tubbo in his will. I don’t think the Butcher Army is involved in this thought process, considering that he trusted (?) Quackity enough to go visit Dream in the prison, and that he allows Ranboo a place to stay in the arctic. Fundy is just Fundy, Techno doesn’t really know the guy canonically that well.
It’s why Techno put something in his will about Tommy, because the two didn’t leave on good terms, and I have a suspicious feeling that Techno wishes that they did.

Man after watching the Manberg festival vod there really is no hope of Techno ever acknowledging that he killed Tubbo cause he already believes it was resolved. Tubbo forgave him and he beat Tommy in the pit so no harm no foul.

Soo copacetic AU : )
Do Dream and Sam ever meet again after Dream is rescued and starts his healing arc? (Assuming he isn’t just killed by techno sjdhsj) What might that look like 👉👈
/ cw: manipulation/guilttripping and all the usual stuff related to copacetic au. neither of them are okay and neither of them looks at their situation in a healthy way. this is far enough into the healing arc that Tubbo's made significant progress with Dream's prosthetics for him to use more regularly
"You can stand again," Sam notes as Dream steps closer.
"Somewhat, yeah. Tubbo's done wonders. Phil helped," Dream replies as he takes a seat across from Sam. "It's not the same." Never will be, he wants to say, but they were given five minutes and not a second more, and he doesn't want to lose a second of that time to pointless arguments. Instead, he settles on: "I still have to use a wheelchair, most of the time."
Sam hums and nods. "So you came to show off?"
Dream bites his tongue, takes a deep breath. He counts to ten, tries to at least, but stops at seven. "Kind of. If you want to call it that way."
"I could help," Sam offers, turning the conversation back to himself. "The prosthetic," he specifies. "Could make it better."
"Thanks." Dream clings to civility despite the pang of guilt, the small voice in the back of his head telling him to let Sammy handle things. "I'll leave it to Tubbo, though."
They sit in silence, then, neither sure what to say, now that they've been stripped of their roles. It's Sam who speaks first.
"I'm glad to see you doing well," he admits, and Dream wants to believe that it is sincere.
"You're the reason I was not well in the first place."
Neither of them knows when it began. Neither knows whether they mean Dream's legs or the lack of baby fat on his cheeks, where the hurt truly begins and ends and how much of the blame is for Sam to take. All of it, George would say. Most, if it was Sapnap speaking. Dream can only blame him for so much without knowing he pushed him there.
(He knows a push does not necessitate falling head first into this mess, and Sam did little to regain his balance.)
"I did not want to do it," Sam mutters, his voice grating against his throat with pain and regret.
"You hurt me."
"I know."
"And you're not sorry, either."
"I swear I never lied to you when I told you that I wouldn't have hurt you if you'd done what I told you. But you didn't. I had to."
"I know."
If you'd behaved, Sam thinks, there would be no need to deny you food. If you'd given us the book, there would be no need for the torture. If you'd stayed, there would be no need to clip your wings.
I hated hurting you.
They fall silent, and the next time Sam speaks, it's Dream's name with an echo of a second voice from the outside. Dream forces himself to stand, gripping the chair to keep himself steady as he regains his balance, and then turns towards the door.
"Wait," Sam calls, and Dream stops before he can think about disobeying the order. "Will you come back?"
Dream remains still until the door opens, with Bad waiting on the other side, and he walks out of the room.
He stumbles.
Sam smiles.

[My dumbass accidentally posted this before finishing writing so bare with me TvT]
I haven't posted it yet cause I still have like *checks notes* five other fics I need to write. However, I can give an answer to the questions you presented at the end cause I've been thinking about this for a long time.
Though I will kind of preface all this with that in my mind SMP Earth itself isn't canon to the DSMP but Business Bay and the Antarctic Empire are. Business Bay being something c!Tommy did in his past before the SMP and the Antarctic Empire happening centuries in the past. This is mainly because in SMP Earth, for what I saw, Tommy and Wilbur did not leave off on the best terms. I could be wrong though. Basically I see the SMP Earth characters and their DSMP counterparts as two sets of different characters.
Though that doesn't mean your point about Tommy and Techno being "friend-ish" before the DSMP are invalid in my mind. It still shown that c!Tommy has looked up to Techno for a long time so there is reason for them to have met pre-SMP.
I'm also coming at this as someone who writes a lot of SBI family dynamic stuff, mainly full AU stuff. If it's a fic that takes place in canon then I usually go the unconventional route, like the clone Tommy HC or how it's actually presented in canon.
The first thing is that the rift between Tommy and Tubbo would have likely increased since, even in canon, Tommy disagreed with L'Manberg in trying to execute Techno. It wasn't necessarily shown during that time, but Quackity and Tommy did talk about Techno's attempted execution during the Las Nevadas lore. Tommy was genuinely upset because Quackity did visit Tommy. He saw what was going on (the stuff with Dream removed Tommy was genuinely and visibly in a bad place), and instead of helping, he tried to kill Techno, but he was also upset because it was Techno he was trying to kill, actively referring to Techno as an "almost brother". There's also the fact that after the Manberg War, when Tommy's chat asked Tommy if he was going to get revenge on Techno he said that he was not prepared to go against Techno, so there's also the more strategic part of him that would have regarded the Butcher Army as a stupid plan.
So yeah, if Techno and Tommy were brothers and Tommy was present during the Butcher Army's attack instead of in the basement, he likely would have been pissed, and depending on his mental state at the time, either would have blamed Tubbo, which would cause an already damaged relationship to worsen, or realized that Quackity was being a dumbass (cause he was). Though the Quackity one would be the most likely since even in canon Tommy didn't approve of Techno's execution and mainly got mad at Quackity for it.
Though it is a little amusing to think about the Butcher Army bit being combined with the moment Tubbo realised that Tommy and Techno are working together:
"Tommy your with Techno?!"
"Wha- Where the fuck did you think I was going to go?!"
I will also say dynamic wise most people use the Sleept twt dynamics as a baseline, but canon speaking only Phil and Wilbur would the only two that stay mostly the same. Mainly because Wilbur considered the SBI family dynamic canon until Techno said it wasn't so c!Wilbur was written with the intention of the SBI. Not only that but c!Wilbur's dislike of Techno can easily be translated from just "I don't know you that well" to combining with "Your Dads favourite". Phil is also just shown as a flawed parent in canon so again, no real change there, and if we go with the sleepy twt dynamics too that easily translates as well cause Techno is Phil's favourite child. I am also going to point out that in this regard Tommy would also be Kristen's favourite child but that often goes ignored in order to make Kristen the "perfect parent" which I have my own issue with but that's a different conversation.
There's also the common trend of explaining why both Phil and Techno are neglectful with using the voices, but even then Techno wouldn't just have minimal contact with Tommy and Wilbur, and while I see Wilbur being salty and refusing to write or talk to either Phil or Techno. No matter how you look at canon, Tommy looked up to Techno long before the DSMP. They would absolutely be in contact. So yeah, hate the neglectful Techno hc under any reasoning.
Though I do agree with your points on Tubbo's execution still happening because Tommy puts the people he loves and looks up to on a pedestal and Pogtopia was very much a point in time where those rose tinted glasses were ripped off. Though the Pit wouldn't have happened in general since the way it's treated is in a serious context. At most Tommy would have yelled at Techno before hearing his reasoning, maybe even rough housed like you said. Maybe Wilbur would have still tried doing the Pit stuff but that would have been met with a "WTF".
As for exile itself and Doomsday, at the very most Tommy would have sat back and not have gotten involved. He might still fight to defend L'Manberg but I think it would have been made very clear that he would only be doing it to make sure that Tubbo didn't die. Especially if all the good moments of exile still happened, just without Dreams manipulating Tommy. Stuff like the Trident and the moments where Dream seemed to genuinely want to connect with Tommy.
This brings us to the Prison, and honestly, I do think his treatment would have been bad with or without Tommy's death. Mainly because Sams spiral, though Tommy's death is a heavy factor, was a combination of the power going to his head, Quackity manipulating and enabling Sam, and the whole Egg situation. That and Quackity's spiral literally had nothing to do with Tommy, yes he sights Dreams treatment of Tommy as a reason for torture on multiple occasions, and I do think it is a genuine reason, it's not the main one. Quackity wants the revive book, he's also been undermined at every turn, every romantic relationship this man has had turned to shit, and he's been proven time and time again that the peaceful, diplomatic approach doesn't work. So yeah, Pandora would still not be a fun time for Dream.
Thank you for answering and I'm sorry for this yap session. I'm also sorry if this very incoherent or I don't get my point across well, I accidentally posted this early before finishing and editing it so this is what I have.
A funny, and kind of annoying, thing I've come to realise that the SBI family dynamic truthers really don't understand why the SBI family dynamic wasn't made canon in the DSMP. Cause from what I remember it was mainly because it didn't make sense for Techno's character, specifically because of his dynamic with Tommy.
Cause yeah, if Techno and Tommy were brothers, half the shit in Pogtopia would have happened very differently. Hell, Tommy's exile would have happened a lot differently. First thing is Tommy would have stepped in during the festival cause he would have known Techno doesn't do well with peer-pressure (likely only being stopped by Wilbur holding him back), and even if he for some reason didn't try and stop Tubbo's execution the pit fight wouldn't have happened cause Techno wouldn't want to beat the shit out of his little brother. The Withers likely still would have happened along with the Theseus speech but it likely would have been less of a threat and more of a warning.
Then comes exile where Techno would still laugh an "I told you so" at him while dragging Tommy's dumbass back to his cabin. Which wouldn't have prevented Dream from visiting but would have prevented the TNT stuff because Dream's whole manipulation plan was based around Wilbur's way of controlling Tommy in Pogtopia (which I could go on an entirely separate rant about but I don't want to make this ask too long). Which Techno doesn't even think about. There's also the fact that in this hypothetical, Tommy would now be staying and listening to the brother that doesn't hate Dream's guts and isn't gunning for power.
Honestly I could be wrong and incredibly biased about this but I am so tired of the "c!Techno and c!Phil are neglectful family members" trope, cause while it could make sense for Phil's character, it doesn't for Techno. Not with how dedicated he is with the people he cares about.
Do I think that Tommy would go as far as to help with Doomsday in this AU/hypocritical? Maybe, considering Tommy would be there when the Butcher Army shows up or if Techno changes his pitch from "Tubbo betrayed you" to "L'Manburg is driving you and Tubbo apart".
Honestly I've just been reading way too many fics where SBI is canon and Techno is way too ready to kill Dream as though Techno wouldn't have dragged Tommy to the cabin the first night of exile if it was his brother, and not some random kid he met during a revolution that was the surrogate brother of his bestfriends son.
At most there would have been one instance of Dream blowing Tommy's things up that first night and that would be it.
Sorry for the long rant, this could have been its own post on my page but I thought you would have an interesting take on this kind of topic considering your a lot more knowledgeable on Dream's character then I am.

Well I mean the biggest argument for sbi not being canon is all of the ccs said so lol. But as you point out it also just doesn’t make sense canonically speaking either. Now we could say that siblings at differently toward each other and in other stories we certainly see that difference in closeness. There is also age gap to consider, all of my siblings and I are 2-3 years apart, which is pretty close, but the further the gap is the more that sibling dynamic changes and can even become more parental. Also, siblings tend to have more conflict during young adult years as they all try and figure themselves out, becoming more independent and setting boundaries and such. Sibling dynamics just tend to be different and it does depend on childhood and parenting, and personality. Especially I think (as a middle of 4) the bigger the family the more drama and conflict there is. So there is technically a world in which sbi exist and the canonical dynamic between Techno and Tommy.
However, you are also right, that that dynamic would stay consistent and yet many fanfic writers tend to have their dynamics and behavior change, where Techno becomes more protective and close to Tommy. In other words, you could have the same dynamic and sbi, but it shouldn’t change. And in that sense, after spending months locked up with Dream and after Tommy siding with the country who tried to kill him and unable during Doomsday to see the problems with that, I don’t personally think Techno would choose Tommy over Dream. Dream saved his life, what has Tommy ever done for Techno? Sure Phil, but Phil doesn’t have much of a relationship with Dream, so that’s different.
Anyways, I’m not so sure Tommy would have stepped in. Because I think he trusted Techno and his strength to be able to handle it and being his sibling wouldn’t change that. Afterwards, I think perhaps he would be more understanding of Techno’s reasoning and maybe even forgive him. As far as the lot goes, I think it’s still could have been a thing. For starters, because the violence scale on the dsmp is scuffed and like people be pushing each other off roofs and stabbing for fun. So, I could totally see it be more like a roughhouse time or whatever, I mean in my experience brothers in general tend to fight, even if it’s a little sibling.
Yeah I mean his line ‘You want to be the hero, Tommy? Then die like one!” Might not have happened, especially since that happens before the bigger betrayal. I think him calling Tommy Theseus was kind of a warning anyways, but that’s besides the point.
I do think I agree, that on the first day, when Techno comes to visit Tommy he would have dragged him to the cabin. Leaving Dream to search for him and perhaps eventually end up at Techno’s. Perhaps since that scenario Techno would be more involved and it’s less Tommy snuck into your basement, Techno would strike a deal with Dream that he’ll keep an eye on Tommy and keep him away from the main server area. This goes well until the Butcher Army happens causing Techno to go after L’manberg. Given that Tubbo is still Tommy’s ex-friend, and without Exile he didn’t spend as much time alone thinking about how all of his friends don’t visit him and stuff, I think perhaps he would be more resistant to destroying L’manberg… whether Techno could influence Tommy enough to make main more neutral to Dream and more anti-government, I think is hard to say. Tommy has hated Dream and seen him as a bad guy, who even got him exiled and Wilbur certainly sank his claws of propaganda into him. However, Wilbur’s death and betrayal certainly takes away some of his influence. Techno is good at pointing out the reasoning and obvious - You blackmailed Dream and expected it to go well? Bruhhh…- maybe Tommy would listen or maybe not I could see both ways. He is stubborn, but also Techno’s influence, the lack of Wilbur’s influence, and the lack of Dream’s exile manipulation (not sure what you mean by being based on Wilbur, you should write an essay about it) could be enough to turn Tommy’s alliance a bit. Not sure it’d be enough to make him participate in Doomsday though, I think Techno would keep his point that ‘Tubbo betrayed you’ and that ‘the government divided you,’ which without Dream around would be alot easier to convince Tommy of.
Yea it is sad to see them portray Techno that way, especially as you said, we see Techno more so reflect how much he cares for all of his loved ones and animals. I mean Phil is canonically neglectful to Wilbur, unless we use some kind of reasoning of why he could come to the server before, but even his behavior when Will is revived isn’t great. But Techno is hardly neglectful.
I don’t think Tommy is some random kid. I always got the impression they were friends previous like from smp earth and that Wilbur was more so the stronger. Especially as there is that conversation (I think with L’mandog) where Wilbur says ‘I just don’t know you that well yet.’ So Tommy and Techno were always a friend-ish relationship. Unlike Tubbo though, Techno didn’t just follow Tommy, he stood up for his principles and goals even when Tommy opposed them.
lol, hopefully I addressed all of your point, I don’t even think I talked about Dream much lol. I’m trying to imagine how thing would be different for him if Exile didn’t happen and honestly I think it’d change a lot. Though L’manberg would still be plotting against Dream so Doomsday would still happen. But would some of the other things? If there was a huge rift between Tommy and Tubbo and Tommy was behaving thanks to Techno would, then the disc finale might not have happened. Still, Dream is still scared of a big unkillable threat so a prison would still be built, and everyone still hates Dream so perhaps he’d still plan to put himself inside. But then you have the circumstances in prison, would they be as bad without Exile, would Tommy even bother to come visit him, would he still kill Tommy in prison, certainly not if Techno was still aligned with him. Maybe he’d instead try and manipulate Tommy into putting him and telling Techno he needs to get out or something…
I don’t know… it’s interesting to think about though…

You came to visit Florida with your brother because you and Tubbo had streamed togheter and were pretty close friends
While on camera you seemed energetic and chaotic, having fun with all of them
Off camera you got pretty shy, especially around a certain blonde haired boy
Karl didn't notice until you all got to the golf court
He noticed you and Punz quietly talking to the side. Your face flushed pink as Punz leaned to fix your hair
He had to call Sapnap over to make sure he wasn't hallucinating
The two then quietly decided to separate and approach the chuckling couple
Sapnap took Punz and Karl, of course, took you
"You two seemed pretty...cozy. Something you wanna tell me?"
"He's a nice guy. Should I not?"
"What? No. If you like him go, I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. You know I'll support you no matter what"
❝ Nihachu ❞
She's very observant. And you two are very close so she knows you like the back of her hand
So she noticed little things that others couldn't whenever you would be live with Eret
Like how your voice went a note higher whenever he joined or how you'd get a little fidgety when he would compliment you
She of course didn't directly ask you if you liked him, she didn't want to embarrass you
But she found another way to confirm your crush
"You and Eret are very adorable togheter, don't you think?"
"REALLY- I mean, you think so?"
"I know so"
❝ Eret ❞
You and Niki seemed to be inseparable
Everywhere you went, she was near by
You were almost clingier then the Clingy Duo and that's saying a lot
But it wasn't only on the SMP, also in real life, since you two were roomates
Oh my god, they were roomates
Eret would often call you, to know how you were, but also to see if you've made any progress with your little crush
She knew you liked Niki since the day you decided to live togheter. You literally moved all the way from America to England just so you could be togheter
She doesn't really need to help, but she does ship you two a lot
"Oh yeah, Niki gave me this sweater! It's so cozy"
"Did you hear that chat? Sweetheart Duo confirmed- hey! Don's kill me I just caught an axolotl!!"
❝ Wilbur Soot ❞
"I told you so!"
"Ok, you wizard. What now? Is a noseless man who name I must not pronounce gonna come and try to kill you??"
This little prick (/j) has been teasing you about Quackity since you two first met
At first it didn't really bother you cause you didn't like Quackity like that
But as time passed your feelings blossomed
And Wilbur was already on board of the ship
Needless to say he was very supportive of you two
But he'll never let you forget that he has always known about your feelings
❝ C!Techno ❞
"HEH?!"
This was his reaction when you first told him that you liked Wilbur.
He was clueless to your little crush and now he is traumatized
I mean, can you really blame him? You have a crush on someone who blew up a whole nation
It's gonna take a while for him to come to terms with it
"Are you sure? Like a 100%?! He's insane you know?"
"Techno! Don't be mean"
"Oh and he wasn't mean when he started a whole nation only to blow it up later on???"
❝ C!Philza ❞
Man went through a roller coaster of emotions when you told him you liked his good-ol-mate Technoblade
He was first surprised, you actually had the courage to tell him instead of him finding out on his own
Then he got upset. Techno wasn't really the "safest" person to be around so he feared for what could happen to you if you did start dating
But he was then happy. He trusts Techno, and vice versa, if anything did happen to his dear sibling he knows that Techno would quickly be by your side
In all of this you were panicking while scanning his face that was twisting and turning into different emotions
Once he recovered, he just hit you with a
"I don't want any baby piglins around my house, at least not yet"
"HEH?! WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT? ALSO YOU HAVE A SON."
"Your point?"

dsmp au where characters have tattoos that appear after each canon death that represent their own perception of their death.
tubbo has firework stars inked across the right side of his face. they're beautiful and colorful, just like techno promised, and he first started growing his hair out in an attempt to cover them up.
foolish's tattoo is a deep, angry red, like an unhealed infection. it crawls across his neck: thorned vines with red leaves and flowers that mark the spot where antfrost cut his throat. after he makes his deal for immortality it changes to the green of the god he's chosen to serve. it doesn't disappear.
antfrost's tattoo spreads across his ribcage, a monochrome facsimile of the carnage puffy's axe did to him. he doesn't blame anyone other than himself for it, so all it shows is the blood and bone and the heart that once lay still in his chest.
tommy should have three different tattoos. instead he has the same simple smiley face, inked in three different places on his skin. he hates looking at it.
ponk has a trident tattooed right on her shoulder, where the rest of her arm should be. she keeps it wrapped up, hidden partially for that reason. it's hard to look at.
skeppy's tattoo is a little cartoonish devil on the back of his hand, the face of a friend he knows well. he doesn't remember when he got it. it's a tattoo of bad, though! he's always glad to see that reminder of his best friend on his skin.
sam's tattoo is directly over his heart: a series of technical lines and numbers that could be anything at first glance. he knows they're the blueprints for pandora's vault. it, more than anything, is what he believes killed him.
wilbur had more tattoos when he died, but since his return the only one he's had is a sketch of his own tattered wings. he blames no one but himself.

In Convict Childcare, would Techno and Tubbo have still teamed up with Eret when looking for Michael, or would it just be the two of them?
Because on one hand, they know from the start that Sam has Michael, and so there's no reason to go to Eret in the first place.
But on the other hand: Eret :3
I'm loving the AU by the way, you're doing great!
Not really. In this AU things shake down a bit differently than in canon (I have to alter a bunch of stuff b/c of timelines not working well otherwise).
Before c!Ranboo's death, c!Tubbo comes home from a trip to find Ranboo and Michael missing, and a note from c!Eret about Michael. He's concerned, but not out of his mind. After all, despite a rocky history, he trusts Eret in this situation. He assumes that Ranboo has gone to get Michael and sends him a message. About 6 hours after that, Ranboo's death message shows up. Tubbo is now panicked and heads directly over to Eret's to try to get Michael. After he arrives, Eret whose also very confused, explains that Sam came to get Michael on their behalf. Eret had no reason to distrust Sam, so they let Michael go with him. They start making plans, but at this point neither of them are aware that Ranboo is dead-dead. So they are planning on getting information from him before acting.
Around this time, c!Techno shows up with c!Niki and c!Phil to the prison knowing that c!Sam killed Ranboo (from death messages). At this point, none of them know about Michael. They find Ghostboo and c!Conner at the prison and come to the conclusion that Sam has taken c!Dream and fled. The group tries to track them, but they have to deal with the rest of the server at the same time. Several near fights break out over the truth of what happened, but in the end, people go their separate ways with their own plans of what to do next. This takes up a far chunk of time though, giving Sam longer to get away and making tracking him much harder.
The Syndicate gets home to regroup, and there they find Tubbo and Eret who were looking for Ranboo. Ghostboo is revealed to them, and the Syndicate finds out about the Michael situation.
Now, Eret as we've seen in canon, believes Dream to be responsible for a lot of things he had no hand in. They've bought into the story that Dream is the villain, so things were all his fault. So, when faced with the two possibility of Dream being at fault or Sam being at fault, they chose to believe that Dream is at fault.
This doesn't jive with the Syndicate, with Techno specifically being open about the fact Sam trapped in him in Pandora, and that he wants revenge for that and Ranboo's death. He's not open about the fact he was planning to break Dream out, but Eret infers as much. Eret offers to help Tubbo, but they won't work with the Syndicate on account of the Syndicate blaming Sam and not Dream.
Tubbo considers this offer, but ultimately all that matters to him is getting Michael back, and he believes the Syndicate is his best chance. If Ranboo trusted Technoblade, then Tubbo will too. It helps that while Tubbo doesn't like Dream, he doesn't trust Sam either.
Eret respects that, and at the very least offers that they won't try to stop them and won't tell the rest of the server about what they've learned. But after that, they split from the group.

A follow up on this AU (crazy I know) just some random ideas :
There's rumours about Techno saying that he k!lled some students once, and Tommy will fight anyone that even mention this.
Phil has to pretend not to be proud of the boy but once the crowd leaves he gives him sweets and everything.
Tommy really wants to become a quidditch player and Techno being one of the best decides to secretly mentor him, because of that Tommy gets to be the youngest witch to ever be on a Quidditch team at hogwarts.
(Tech is proud even if the boy is a pain to play against)
Henry is an hypogriff Tommy befriends, they get really close with Toms always sneaking out to hang out with him. (If you want ANGST: Henry gets killed by the main antagonist)
Both Tommy and Techno rescue an injured Phil stuck in his crow form, not knowing the bird is actually their professor, they just team up to take care of him. (Tommy gets really sad when they had to release it so Philza sometimes comes to hang out with them in bird form, he still end up telling them he's an illegal animagus)
Once Tommy accidentally set the school on fire because of some bullies that were mocking Techno, the older took the blame saying he did it on purpose because having uncontrollable magic is kind of looked down upon
Phil attends every Quidditch match, if they're playing against eachother he just wears both colours, after each match he takes care of any injuries himself.
Tommy runs away from a foster family after accidentally cursed one of his foster parents, and just lives on the street for a while until the end of summer and school restart. Phil is somehow finds out and decide to officially take him in, the younger blonde is actually pretty distant from Phil for a bit, just scared of the changes it implies and everything.
Technoblade keeping his family life very private because he doesn't want to worry anybody but Tommy still finds out and is the first one to help him.
Same with the Voice Curse, Techno just looses himself to the voice and accidentally injure Tommy and just can't forgive himself, so he cuts contact for a while thinking the blonde wouldn't want to ever speak to him again and Phil having to involve himself in the situation. Both Tommy and Phil then try to help deal with his curse.
The Traumatized Teens™ gang decides that it would be a great idea to all become animagus, marauders style. Phil and Sam both learn about it and are absolutely livid ( and also a bit proud but they can't actually say that)
Tubbo explodes shit at least once a day, mostly non important stuff though.
Purpled and Tubbo steals fireworks from older students, Tommy is ecstatic, Ranboo is very scared.
Once Ranboo has to cast a very powerful spell that ends up making them forget almost everything. The gang helps them remember most if it.
Techno is the one that tells Tommy that stimming is okay, he also help with meltdown and shutdown and teach the Traumatized Teens™ how to help as well. Which end up being useful for all of them since they're also the neurodivergent gang.
Tommy teaching Philza how to ride a bike, and then also Techno of course.
Tommy also befriends a giant spider he decide to name Shroud.
This idea I'm not very sure but Philza falling in love with Kristen but she's actually a ghost ?
The obligatory SBI Hogwarts AU ( fuck jk Rowling tho)
With Phil, a war veteran as a defense against the art teacher, Tommy as a too powerful Gryffondor/Hufflepuff ( not sure ABT that one ) and Technoblade as a cursed Slytherin.
Technoblade is a pureblood with a family into some cult shit ( blood god ect ) that was supposed to be sorted into Ravenclaw but practically begged the hat to put him into Slytherin because he did nit want to deal with his family bullshit. With than the curse of voices, he gets into fight fairly often which causes him to almost always be in detention. ( That's how he meets Tommy and Phil )
Tommy Innit is a muggleborn just a wee bit too powerful and uncontrollable magic, that gets him into trouble at school but also in his everyday life in the Muggle world where he's a foster kid. ( Try to be a witch and a foster kid it's a pain in the ass ).
Philza Craft is a veteran, and also a crow animagus that's been requested to become a teacher at hogwart because the Minister of magic are a bunch of pussies scared of some prophecy. He's a defense against the dark arts teacher and also is responsible for the detention classes. Tommy and Techno basically becomes his responsibilities and if something happens with them he's called immediately ( before their families yes ).
As for other characters:
Tubbo is a pureblood Ravenclaw, and he's terrifying. The guy likes to create spells and testing things he probably shouldn't test with magic. He's also Tommy's best friend and would do anything for him. They meet while shopping for school necessities their first year and become unseperable.
Ranboo is a half blood Hufflepuff/Gryffondor ( again unsure ) with a powerful magic, to cope with it his body just erase memories of times he couldn't control themself. They meet Tommy Purpled and Tubbo in the train during their first year.
Purpled is a muggleborn Slytherin, he wasn't too shocked to develop magic because of all the weird shit around him during his childhood. While people think Ranboo is the most responsible out of them, he takes care of his friend in his own way and is the most responsible one.
Nikki is a pure blood Hufflepuff with a knack for healing magic. She's one of Techno's closest friend and will defend him against rumours spreading assholes.
Slimecicle is a ghost of a Ravenclaw student, thought he tends to hang out in the Slytherin dorms the most to hang out with Quality. When he's not there he tends to spy on students or spook them for fun.
Quackity is a pureblood Slytherin that used to be a dick to Techno but calmed down after getting his ass kicked. He gets along well with Tommy when the blonde didn't know what happened between them but once he learned Toms kinda kicked his ass verbally so they're not as close.
Sam is Charms/Potions teacher that took Tubbo under his wings to avoid mass destruction. He the second teacher to go to if the quatuor of chaos gets in trouble.
Ponk is our resident nurse of course.

it is kinda funny how with darksbi, the subsection of the fandom that is into/produces some of the darkest work. Has actually been the most (relatively) chill. Irony or something!
@angelartist asked: tobi-smp number one dark sbi shooter fr!!!
[End Transcription]
no because that's So So True ! I really do think a big part of it is that intentionally making dark content requires a level of self awareness about it.
that doesn't inherently mean the Execution of any individual work will stick the landing, but it's like !
I love Regular sbi content, but if you search for it outside of the context of dark sbi you Will run into depictions of the rankest most unhealthy dynamics out there, depicted with seemingly No awareness that it's not, in fact, Fluffy And Cute.
people who are Aware that they're making dark content A: are actively thinking about how they could impact other people, and tend to have more robust tagging For those darker elements (which often Are still present in other parts of the fandom). and B: are Aware that they're twisting the characters and depicting them in unhealthy ways
people tend to want to Win fandom in mcyt spaces, tearing each other to pieces to Prove that their little dolly is Objectively Morally Correct. twisting other characters into Caricatures to get there, sometimes when it's not even Necessary to make the points they want to.
and with sbi in Particular it's Especially dicey because of how much drama the characters get up to in the series proper.
if you want, for example, techno and tommy to be besties despite the Everything that happened a lot of classic flavor fic will fall into two tropes
1: picking a sacrificial lamb to be the Real Reason their relationship exploded, usually wilbur or tubbo (though I've seen phil sprinkled in there too). you just make it Somebody Else's fault and turn them into the devil to be Defeated
2: you just have the one or more of the characters lose their fundamental beliefs and become an empty vessel in exchange for love and protection. but like, This Is Fluff, And It's Good Because The Person Thinking For Them Is Morally Correct And Right.
and the thing About dark sbi as a Baseline is that there's always an Awareness that they're making the characters Dark On Purpose. that's the very Premise. the twisting of the characters or the setting is never done Unintentionally, it never Expects you to shove the implications underneath the rug and not think about them.
mind, there's plenty of Extraordinarily Excellent sbi fic that Isn't dark sbi, and I've seen more than my fair share of dark sbi that fumbles the bag spectacularly. but the fact is, the source material Does contain Many dark elements, elements that can be difficult to fully grasp at All let alone depict with grace or elegance.
so it's just ! much easier to navigate a space where everyone is already Aware of what they're depicting and what to expect From it. it's being in on the joke going in, knowing that if characters feel off It's On Purpose. nobody's being twisted to demonize their characters or to victim blame or to Do An Ableism, it's just for fun.
and I think that Also significantly cuts down on that feeling of competitiveness within the space. everyone's borrowing from and inspiring each other no matter which of the sbi they lean more towards.
it's in a word, Nice
(obligatory link to my breakdown on dark sbi and dark fiction in general and why it appeals to people here [Link])

I'm worried about techno and tubbo reconcile stream. i was really excited before! but now that cctechno is saying that ctubbo was a villain of the red festival im scared the stream will be about tubbo having to apologize to techno or smth. is this unreasonable? i want to be excited but tubbo is my favorite character (my second favorite is techno) and i dont want him to apologize for being killed
anon, i want to reassure you here.
cc!techno is not saying that c!tubbo was a villain.
that's not what he's saying at all, i promise.
what he's saying is this:
1.) he didn't know about the tnt while c!tommy & c!tubbo did.
2.) c!wilbur knew that he and c!niki could die and told tommy this.
3.) tubbo was given a signal phrase to say but cc!techno doesn't elaborate on what exactly c!tubbo knows besides the tnt. he doesn't even say that tubbo knew that him and niki would die, only that wilbur was having doubts and he knew about the tnt.
4.) that none of them warned him or niki.
5.) tubbo did say the phrase.
and most importantly
6.) that despite all of this fandom still blames c!techno (instead of c!schlatt or hell, even c!wilbur for misleading all of them) for not somehow saving c!tubbo when it was an impossible situation for him.
like, again, i want to reassure you because i get worrying about your favorite but no where in this did cc!techno imply that c!tubbo was a villain. he merely stated the facts of what happened and then pointed out the hypocrisy of fandom blaming c!techno for the red festival and making him the villain of the situation.
if you're not someone who believed that c!techno was at fault for the execution instead of c!schlatt then i don't think you have anything to worry about, anon.
because cc!techno isn't rewriting anything. he isn't making assumptions or judgements on other characters. he is merely stating the canon events.

It’s funny how we get yet another case of Wilbur imprisoning himself. This time with a lot less onner struggle. Partly because he’s already been through this before. And partly because Tommy is hurt and not okay and he needs Wilbur, so there’s no way he would run. It’s very interesting how Wilbur still pauses at the realization he can run, but he doesn’t bother checking the door. He doesn’t bother trying. He doesn’t bother lying to himself that he wants to leave, because he wants to stay with Tommy. He wants to take care of Tommy.
No one else knows this of course. Like Tommy knows for the last one. And I do thin, he’s too put of it to realise that Wilbur might be able to escape. I think he might be desociating from the near death experience. Or the general anxiety of think everyone will hate him now. Especially with Jack and Niki’s reaction. Maybe he’s upset with himself too. Anyway, he’s not fully there. So I don’t thin, he’ll realise Wilbur could run, but if he was more there I think he would know Wilbur wouldn’t leave.
Techno on the other hand, is not aware of their little sneaking out session. Is not aware that Wilbur could have run but didn’t. Is rightfully suprised and mildly distrustfull of Wikbur walking around on his own and not running. Maybe he thinks Wilbur checked the door but it was shut. Anyway, concern for Tommy takes over so he’s definitely going back with Wilbur, but he does know that Wilbur isn’t a threat to Tommy. He even let's him clean the wounds.
Phil is a lot less aware for Wilbur not being a threat. Tbf, I don’t think Phil has seen the way they hang of off each other. That doesn’t mean Techno isn’t still eyeing all the physical touch. He definitely is. Wilbur and Tommy are very close a d they have no idea how that happened so it is a little sus. They don’t really understand it because of the whole kidnapping vs. Murder attempt. I wonder if there’s people who think this is Wilbur’s fault. I think Tubbo would love to blame him. Though context gets rid of that.
It’s also interesting that none of them actually ask Tommy. Probably because he’s so out of them. But Tommy knows that they want to know. And he expects them to be angry and to hate him, so he might just want to get it over with. But none of them hate him. They are very understanding people. And while what he did was wrong, they don’t hate him for it. If anything, it feels like Phil and Techno are somehow pulling the self-blame again. They did raise him. They are probably going to question how they raised him. Maybe a punishment too. Though nothing to harsh.
And Wilbur- well actually I’ll make that a separate ask.
(1/2)
-🌲
YEAHHH he doesn't even bother lying to himself this time because he's starting to accept the truth. he doesn't want to leave. he wants to stay and make sure tommy's okay.
tommy realized that wilbur could run only after he'd left the room but before he got back with techno. tommy knew that wilbur wasn't supposed to be wandering around on his own, but he'd been so out of it that it took him a few extra seconds to process that. once he did though, he didn't go after him. because he was pretty confident wilbur wouldn't run.
techno has no idea what's going through wilbur's head, so he's more than a little confused when he realizes wilbur had a chance to run and likely didn't take it. but he's already seen how affectionate wilbur and tommy are together, and so when wilbur starts bandaging tommy up, techno starts putting the pieces together in his head. phil is a little more wary on the physical touch side of things, but when he sees how relaxed techno is about it phil relaxes too because if techno thinks wilbur isn't a threat then he trusts techno's judgement.
as soon as phil and techno get the full story they're both blaming themselves more than tommy. after all, they're the ones who raised tommy with this devotion to death. in phil's mind especially it's his fault for not ingraining the boundaries into tommy's head more.

Sometimes I think how interesting relationships between c!Techno and c!Tubbo is.
I mean starting with the fact that c!Tubbo doesn't really blame c!Techno for red festival. He was actually the first one to understand where c!Technoblade was coming from when it happened and it was right after the festival. He also said that it wasn't really c!Techno fault during his little talk with c!Ranboo putting the blame on c!Schlatt more then anything. Does it mean that it didn't traumatised him? No of course not! C!Tubbo will also be naturally more suspicious of c!Techno but it was never to the point of pure hatred that c!Tommy and c!Dream have.
The same thing goes for c!Techno who's hatred tend to focus on institution rather than on the specific person as we can see based on the fact that he had no problem with c!Tommy and c!Ranboo when they were no longer part of the government as well as on the Snowchester visit. When he went to c!Tubbo's place he was suspicious because of c!Tubbo's history with governments but overall he always made sure c!Tubbo could explain himself. C!Techno was also the most understanding when c!Tubbo talked about having a strong weapon to protect himself.
As much as it's basically impossible for those two to become friends they can coexist next to each other as long as neither of them will attack the other. We actually saw that during the pre-butcher army attack era. C!Tubbo could see c!Techno in L'Manberg and then just ignore it while c!Technoblade tried his best to remain unseen. Even though those two are on two opposite sides of the spectrum, c!Tubbo being part of every L'Manberg government there was and c!Techno being an anarchist, somehow that can function next to each other however they still end up having to fight each other.

L'manberg was truly a unique viewing experience from an audience point of view, and I think that's one of the reasons why it's so uniquely memorable among Dream SMP factions. It's not just a matter of cc!Wilbur making it the focus of his S1 storyline, because he could not have built his storyline in a way that affected the fandom so well without audience investment. And that audience investment was crafted by the citizens of L'manberg.
I've read a lot of excellent posts about how the Syndicate doesn't work as well and a lot of it comes down to the fact that they never stream together. There are several reasons for this, I think — for example, Niki has not streamed on the Dream SMP for a while (and honestly I can't blame her; the way the story has treated her, especially in S2, still makes me angry); Ranboo tends to do chill/solo streams when not in 'lore mode' (or streams featuring Tubbo), and Techno is on a break. I also think that one of the reasons why Phil and Ranboo don't have many Syndicate interactions is because they always stream at completely different times — Ranboo streams later because he's American.
The Syndicate isn't the only faction suffering from a lack of communal streams. Kinoko Kingdom and the Badlands do as well. And I think creating content regularly with other streamers is a harder thing to pull off than it's given credit for. Tommy's networking skills are pretty special. And L'manberg was helped by the fact that all of its streamers were the most heavily invested in streaming DSMP content and tended to stream around the same time.
So this is less of me being critical of these factions, and more of a bit of appreciation for how well L'manberg pulled off the feeling of being a lived-in community, because from how I see it I think it was probably harder to create that sense than it seemed. I mean, one of the reasons why people are so invested in the Tubbo/Ranboo/Michael family is because it's constantly shown to us. L'manberg is kind of like that but with more people and a bit more structure. And I just think it's pretty cool.
