not super polished meta or anything but something i do think is really interesting and kind of a trend with how c!dream sees factions is how...quite consistently, c!dream doesn't judge a faction as umm holistically as one might guess, especially because a common thought in this fandom is that c!dream just hates factions in general by default (and i mean, id say he's not fond of factions and obviously has a distaste for faction conflict, but he's not nearly as immediately going after factions guns blazing the way that i think people can think of him sometimes)--rather, quite consistently, c!dream's perception of a faction at any point in time is a reflection of his perception of its leader.
lmanburg, at the very beginning, he clearly saw as unreasonable, kind of stupid and delusional, but still something to be treated with a degree of caution...which is how he saw c!wilbur, this guy who was making really fucking preposterous claims (what the fuck do you mean new server. like for this guy he might as well have been declaring that this place was a whole new planet while making pretty overt moves towards war if you disagreed with him) but also had gathered quite a following and wasn't going to take no for an answer. l'manchildburg and all that
later on, c!dream sees lmanburg more neutrally and even positively when his relationship with c!wilbur improves. this is most telling when he talks abt lmanburg to c!wilbur at the beginning of pogtopia and during vassal--of course it's up to debate what c!dream's concrete plans were, but i'm pretty solidly of the belief that he wasn't planning to get rid of lmanburg at this point as i outline here. c!wilbur was willing to be reasonable and even peaceable, and so the same applied to the faction he ruled over
c!dream repeatedly expresses that his disagreement with c!schlatt is what causes him to align himself against manberg, and downright says that with c!schlatt at the helm he doesn't believe that peace between their two nations can be maintained. this is a constant, honestly, down to when c!schlatt dies--c!dream never truly thinks well of manberg, and it seems quite obviously to be a direct result of who was in charge
after c!wilbur dies, despite expressing positive sentiments to c!wilbur later on in statements such as "the smartest person on the server" and quoting him during doomsday and the like, c!dream's assessments of him as a leader as he expresses to c!quackity are quite negative. which is interesting, when you consider that part of the angle c!wilbur takes up during vassal is specifically that he'll be ambitious like schlatt the way c!dream explicitly says he felt threatened by in his sales pitch to convince c!dream to blow up lmanburg with him. c!dream wanting lmanburg to be blown up at the same time as its "ruler" (as c!dream clearly did see c!wilbur as the authority over lmanburg) wanted it to be blown up...hm.
c!dream expresses sentiments along the lines of willing to cooperate and coexist with c!tubbo especially after c!tubbo "puts the good of the nation" first instead of choosing to pursue a conflict against c!dream. to c!quackity, c!dream talks about c!tubbo to be fair and reasonable, qualities he evidently values in a ruler
in stark opposition, c!dream's disagreement with mexican lmanburg has everything to do with his perception of c!quackity as a reckless, conflict-seeking (and that's the common thread, really. c!wilbur sought conflict in the revolution and then with his painting himself as chaotic and ambitious and seeking destruction, and c!schlatt was ambitious and murderous in a way that had very clear consequences in terms of starting conflict on the server) ruler with little regard for the consequences of his actions, as he says repeatedly over the course of the mexican lmanburg debates
finally, c!dream explicitly outlines c!tubbo's "failings" as ruler as being the breaking point in terms of green festival + doomsday and specifically says that c!tubbo is willing to let people in the cabinet walk all over him, as well as the fact that c!quackity is more of a president than he is. when we consider c!dream's already very negative assessment of c!quackity as a leader and how c!quackity had pushed a lot of the decisions that really made nlm a threat that was impossible for c!dream to reconcile with (especially with moves such as the butcher army), some of the underlying sentiments behind well the overt villain-isms of c!dream's speech here do seem to come to light.
and for some other moments that aren't quite as Big but still reflect this same idea--c!dream explicitly rejects nlm if it was under c!tommy's rulership but is willing to coexist with c!tubbo as president, both dethronements have a lot to do with c!eret and c!george's actions having negative consequences for the whole faction by compromising a neutral stand (and therefore compromising the quote unquote neutrality of the entire faction and possibly embroiling everyone into conflict), c!dream's willingness to work with the badlands, the difference between the factions that c!dream ignores post-prison versus the one that he attacks (las nevadas, obviously). it's interesting to me how often c!dream seems to view factions as almost being extensions of the will of the person leading them and how his opinion of a faction an his opinion of its leader bounce off of each other, yknow?
(this post is mostly a series of observations and absolutely oversimplified to a certain degree, but yeah 👍)
#i do think that's it's like. a tbh pretty damn simplistic view as well that does suit the character#who gets better at politics as the server progresses but is also pretty clearly in over his head#there are better ways to put all of this but yeah#c!dreamisms

Anything about bp!schlatt or Tubbo please 🙏
bp post 💪💪💪
schlatts weapon of choice is a shotgun, im p sure we sawed it off ? he shows up to the Election Party (not sure what else to call it) with it & chases tommy&wilbur off with it at the end of that . hes silly . authoritative and acts like everything is normal .... hes a hater and he causes problems . smokes his cigars in the house
i think tubbo starts as chronically frightened of him but also unable to do anything but follow directions . he tears down the fence around the lmanhouse and he plans a crazy party and he tries mostly to be out of the way . unfortunately this just proves to make him the least trusted motherfucker on the planet poor guy .
during the red festival party (which he planned and went to walmart for and bought snacks and drinks and sparklers and whatnot) he gets ziptied to a trellis and shot in the face with a lit fireowrk <3 schlatt gets hit by this but as opposed to canon where he dies Also from the firework, hes trampled by partgoers scrambling to escape the close-range uhhh explosions . quackity does not die here and instead he and fundy are left to take care of the bodies, which is leaving tubbos out in the october frost (jacket over his head) & taking schlatts back into the house (bedsheet) . tubbo wakes up the next morning , breaks the ziptie/trellis and escapes to pogtopia . schlatt wakes up the next morning and pretends that literally nothing happened .
he later goes on to hack into the front wall of the house and quackity shoots him with his own shotgun & also escapes to pogtopia . the "domestic dispute" aka "havoks favorite bit" is so fucking stupid fun. let me destroy my own house because i hate you
anyway after the nov16th situation im not really sure what happens with schlatt(s body) but tubbo inherits the house by virtue of being like the only sane motherfucker around whos willing to do it. obviously hes like 17 and probably should not be doing that . this of course has 0 negative effects
heres some images ive taken while on the road that remind me of bp

I think my favourite type of headcannons are the ones which are entirely too specific, its an image in your brain that when shared others can picture it too.
Tommy
Wanted to learn how to fight with a sword like techno so forced techno to teach him but got so excited they had to force him down to a broom so he couldn't hurt anyone
Used to sit on a field in L'Manburg and make flower crown for everyone, the details of it correlated to how much he liked you
As a child he had an affinity for climbing; trees, walls, people. As the only avian in the house who couldn't fly he learnt any way to try and get on the same level as others
He and Tubbo gave each other braids when they where 15 as a way so solidify their friendship and commect them as brothers
Phil
Has a crow watching each one of his kids at all times to keep an eye on them
As angel of death he is fully aware of how long people have spent in limbo, when Wilbur died he kept track of every year and lit a candle to remember him on his death anniversary
Kristen lives in the void beneath bedrock and can't spend much time in the overworld so Phil spends alot of time in strongholds talking into the one way portal to let Kristen know how well her sons are doing
Similar to some cultures braids are really important to avains, Phil has braids from the day he married and one for each of his kids, from either the day they where born or the day they where adopted
After killing Wilbur he cut the second longest braid off and placed it in a box of items from Wills childhood. A pair of tiny socks, a yellow bandana and a folder of sheet music
Techno
Being a conduit for the blood god caused a lot of mental damage as a kid, often resulting in a mute Techno, so the whole sbi family learnt sign language for these moments
Apart from his family the only other person who has braided his hair was Ranboo, he got really attached to that kid and they used to absentmindedly play with Techno's hair during Syndicate meetings
Loves reading all kinds of book, surprisingly to most his favourite genre is romance, the beauty of true love and loving someone wholely spoke to his soul
All of his jewellery is gold, some parts of his piglin culture always stayed with him
Tubbo
Scars from the festival also included becoming partially deaf and blind on that side, but he handled it well due to his early leaning of sign language
Forced Wilbur to teach him how to play piano and it became a way the two bonded, just playing songs in Wilbur's bedroom
Once tried to bonk someone as a greeting with his horns like rams do and gave Tommy a concusion
The compass Ghostbur gave him had lengths of a red bandana he used to wear in the early days of L'Manburg, Ghostbur had found the red and green bandana in the ruins of a blown up city

With Dream SMP finally being over I can finally not worry about being out of date and I can share my longest working project:
THE DREAM SMP DEATH COUNT
This document contains details of all canon deaths, such as who was killed by who, which method was used, and during what time period they died, as well as some extra fun facts that are death related.
I will put all the details under, but be warned, this is long and I do recommend the Google Document for reading.
DISCLAIMER: Some deaths happen outside the main plot, and some arcs last for long periods. The deaths aren’t in chronological order, the arcs are.

Foolish
Slain by Antfrost as a sacrifice to The Egg
Ponk
Slain by Sam after he stole the (not-working) keys for the prison
Connor
Killed by Ranboo after he stole a beacon (yeah)
Ghostbur
Died by Dream while in Pandora’s Vault
We don’t know what caused it, as Dream was hidden behind the lava. Although, we know he took a book from his inventory, and either beat him to death or used it and killed Ghostbur in the process.

Ranboo
Exploded while setting up the TNT in the prison

Fundy
Kill himself by jumping into the L’Manburg hole
Quackity
Killed by Charlie by pushing him (he dies before touching the ground)

Eryn
Pushed into lava by Captain Puffy (possessed by the Egg)
BadBoyHalo/Skeppy
Killed by Captain Puffy/Egg with an axe as the final sacrifice
Dream
Killed by Tubbo in the prison
Tommy
Killed by Dream in the prison
Fun facts:
There are 58 total deaths!
Dream has the highest and most varied kill count, with at least 12 kills under his belt
The bloodiest event was the Egg Finale
Jack was killed by most of SBI: Tommy, Wil, and Techno
Connor and Schlatt are ghosts even though they only lost 2 lives on the server
The only person who has killed Tommy is Dream
The War of Independence has the least canon deaths
Antfrost’s, Mexican Dreams’s and Tommy’s second death, and Quackity’s first death are the only ones caused by a mutually agreed fight/duel. Everything else is murder intentional or accidental.
Schlatt’s and Sam’s final deaths are the only ones caused by body problems, not outsiders. Curiously both had 2 lives when it happened.
MD is the only player to be canonically killed by a mob.
With BadBoyHalo and Skeppy sharing a death count, is actually very hard to tell how many lives they actually have left.
Even if C!Ranboo said that he only had one life when he died, he did die in canon 3 separate times.
Is shown that anyone revived has a single life, as Tommy was sent to purgatory when he was killed again. Jack is the exception.
12 have all three lives: George, Sapnap, Callahan, Alyssa, Eret, Niki, Hbomb, Puffy, Tina, Boomer, Jack, and Michael
8 have 2 lives: Karl, Foolish, Charlie, Aimsey, Purpled, SeaPeeKay, Hannah, and Eryn
11 have 1 life: Phil, Technoblade, Fundy, Tubbo, Wilbur, Tommy, Quackity, Dream, Punz, Antfrost, and Ponk
6 have none: Schlatt, Mexican Dream, Ranboo, Lazar, Vikkstar, and Connor
3 are Unknown: BBH, Skeppy, and Sam
#Dream SMP#yes I did this out of spite like almost everything I do nowadays#but also I always had a fascination with the canon deaths#I just think is cool#also I can't tag all of the members even if I tried there's too many people here#so I will give you all some extra interesting fun facts and the reason why I did this#out of the 58 deaths only about 3 death scars are popularly depicted on fanart: Tubbo's Quackity's and Ponk's#occasionally you will see Wilbur's final deaths scars#but never the other 2#another fun fact: I like to draw “fall damage” scars are head injuries#so by that logic Tommy has 2 different head scars and nobody draws them#another fun fact Dream Sam and Quackity canonically share the same scar: a slash through the face

DSMP Prompt
Prince Tommyinnit didn’t expect to wake up in his bed on his eighth birthday with the memory of how he died still lingering in his head. He definitely didn’t expect to wake up with a mind link to his three best friends, nor to be woken by his guard who died in an assassination attempt during the Moonbloom festival, now two weeks from now.
Marquis Tubbo wasn’t expecting to wake up in a clean bed, especially since his last memory was of his best friends murder. He definitely didn’t expect to be in his former bedroom, with his friends’ voices in his head. One thing is for sure, he won’t let his Aunt Puffy die at the festival this time. He won’t lose her again.
Ranboo wasn’t expecting to wake up in the bakery again, especially not as a kid with his chronic memory loss gone. He was confused for sure, and Tommy and Tubbo’s yelling was giving him a headache, but he knew this was a golden opportunity. He would make sure that this time, Niki would make it.
Drista hadn’t expected the spell to work. It was mostly desperation and fear that caused her to do it, yet, here she was, in her childhood bedroom and significantly smaller. The boys being in her head was a bit of a surprise, but at least she had back up. She had a lot of people she need to save, but the biggest and first, what is her brother Dream, who was currently on track to being a knight for the royal family. His last job as a guard was supposed to be at the festival, but this time, he would live to become a knight. She would make sure of it.
Now, four of them have decided that this time, they will choose their happiness, and save the ones they love.Everything started going wrong when the Moonbloom festival came, right? They have two weeks to make sure the massacre never happens. The fate of the world was in the hands of four 16-15 year olds on the body of 8-7year olds. Let’s see how this goes.

The lore was amazing. And even after it’s all done, there are some quotes that still pack a wallop. (“Do you know what happens to traitors, Tubbo? Nothing good.” “The only universal language is violence, and we’ve had that conversation.” “You wanna be a hero, Tommy? Then die like one!” “Choose people, not sides.” “What am I without you?” “Yourself.”)
But when I remember my favorite moments, I think of Pogtopia!Tommy getting stuck glitching through a piston and everyone laughing at him as he screeched for help, and Wilbur getting Phil in on the call before Phil had even joined so he could laugh at Tommy with them.
I think of Fundy trying to drown Technoblade for clout by tricking him into the carnival game during the Red Festival, and being foiled by his Respiration helmet.
I think of Technoblade hunting Quackity for sport. (“D’you feel tired, Quackity?”)
I think of Philza and Technoblade claiming the stronghold portal for the Syndicate’s clubhouse and Dream panicking, XD popping in to destroy the portal, and Phil and Techno bargaining with God to let them keep it (complete with Philza Minecraft teaching Dream how to place the end portal blocks so the portal won’t light).
I think of the newly escaped Dream chasing Tommy down with the Axe of Peace and threatening to kill him and revive him again and again, only for Tommy’s avatar to die of fall damage, and suddenly it goes from deranged psychopath hunting down his traumatized victim to two friends giggling and cracking jokes over the mistake and the sudden release of the tension while Dream teleported Tommy back to where he had died so he could pick up his stuff and they could resume the lore.
I think of a million other times when the content creators and players stopped being storytellers (either because of some interruption in the story, or because there just wasn’t any lore happening in that moment) and just became people playing around with their friends.
And I’d bet good money that when those content creators look back on the DSMP with fondness, those are the moments that stick out, too.
I hope people understand that when I say "I miss the dsmp" that I don't mean some people, some story lines, some general things, the fandom... Hells, I barely miss the part of the lore or characters I liked.
What I miss is crimeboys making an alleyway simply because they wanted to play more together after the lore for the day was done. I miss Tubbo spinning around on the spot trying to find a giggling Wilbur. I miss Wilbur smiling to himself and writing on chat just for us to see that "Tubbo reminds me of myself when younger". I miss Techno getting into the server tired as fuck just cause one of his friends called him and wanted to do absolutely nothing in Minecraft with him. I miss Wilbur staying awake until ungodly hours to keep Techno company when my man was farming potatoes and try-harding. I miss SBI and friends crashing into Phil's hardcore streams to talk about nothing at all and absolutely everything just to be together and laugh and say shit. I miss Tommy trying to make sense of something and the smile on his face after Wilbur would laugh heartily and say "That's quote book, for sure". I miss stories about late night gameplays of fucking TF2. I miss chat crying to Phil, his sigh, his giggle and his "What did they do?". I...
I guess I just miss them.

May King
by thesmellofcitrus
After Tommy's friends die in a murder-suicide, his brother invites him on a trip to Sweden with him and his friends. In Sweden, they visit Phil's hometown. The midsummer festival, which only happens every 90 years, will be taking place during their stay. As he finds himself stuck in what turns out to be a Cult, Tommy has to deal with witnessing the sinister traditions of the cult, dealing with his shitty brother, and has to try not to lose his godamn mind. Kinda hard when you're in the middle of nowhere and can't leave, isn't it?
OR
Wilbur invites Tommy on a trip with his friends to Sweden and they spend their trip in Philza's hometown. Turns out Philza grew up in a cult! What a trip!

LONG POST
Someone please stop me from writing the ghost tubbo idea i had a month ago to procrastinate on the dreamon au
Because like i had this AU and maybe if i write about it here it will stop me??? I can’t actually find the conversation on discord where i talked about it so i’m probably just gonna throw stuff here from memory and change half of it
Feel free to write a fanfic inspired by this, but 1. tag me 2. i’d appreciete if you credited the idea or at least said i inspired you ^^’
Ok so Tubbo died during the Festival. Like I don’t care if in this a Respawn!AU or Permadeath, irl or whatever. Tubbo doesn’t respawn and dies in Tommy’s arms.
Assuming it’s a world with Respawn, Tommy just waits for Tubbo’s body to disintegrate or whatever the bodies in this AU do, as Techno massacrates people in the background, he just repeats to himself something along the lines of “C-come on Tubbo! Respawn already!”, but his friend stays limp in his arms, growing cold.
In the end, they need to flee, like they did during the festival. Feel free to make Wilbur even more insane or evil whatever you prefer and make him leave the body saying either don’t take it, he’s a traitor, just like Eret or just it’s going to be a dead weight (ha, a pun!) (that was so inappropriate to the scene sorry ignore this), so they leave the body and it’s buried in the Manburg just like in the later Tommy’s stream where he zoomed onto the grave with a sign saying that here lies the traitor Tubbo.
But you can also make Tommy carry his dead friend’s body all the way to Pogtopia, anger and grief clashing, still in the denial stage, hoping Tubbo will come back. Like Tubbo dies all the time! He’s just such a clingy, clumsy big man right? He will come back, right?! Tommy rests Tubbo somewhere in the Pogtopia on a makeshift bed hoping it will make the healing faster and as Techno and Wilbur talk ‘downstairs’ he realizes something. Tubbo isn’t coming back. He would be back by now normally.
He’s shook to the core with the realization and shakingly goes down to Techno and Wilbur. The pit happens, but at the end, even after Techno’s speech about the language of violence, maybe Tommy snaps? Maybe Tommy yells how Tubbo isn’t coming back? Maybe the older men, practically brothers to Tommy, realise that Tubbo is nowhere to be seen? Maybe they realise the boy, the spy, the victim of the situation is dead? Maybe Niki stares and gasps in horror in the background and is the one who goes to Tommy first to comfort him and help him with the wounds from both the pit and the whole today? Maybe Wilbur stares in horror at his fists, realising he’s the one who put Tubbo in danger? He wanted Tubbo to do the speech, he made Tubbo run back and forth between the two leaders, maybe if he didn’t pressure Tubbo as much, Schlatt wouldn’t have noticed. Wilbur falls to the ground and sits with his head between the knees for a long time, wondering about what he did wrong.
Technoblade? He’s awkward and we all know it. He may be a god of PvP, the best farmer in Minecraft, but he’s still awkward. Of course he wants to comfort his little brother, but what can he really do? He’s at loss and still hasn’t fully accepted what he’s done. He killed Tubbo, but he had thought he’d respawn/survive(I really went at the beginning and said this can be also for permadeath au and then wrote it all about respawn au but whatcha gonna do huh).
Overall the tension in Pogtopia is high, but to be fair, so is Manburg. People didn’t know about the execution and (you know what im just gonna keep going as if the respawn au was planned) the brush with death, even if they respawned, was never pleasant. It’s even worse when they somehow find out Tubbo didn’t respawn. Some people are happy with the fact, others are in shock and grief.
And here can end chapter 1! Or at least it feels natural for me to cut off somewhere here! Idk really it all depends on your writing style. I'm not gonna dictate how you’re supposed to write idk myself neither.
Assuming Tommy took the body with him, he later goes on to the only place where Tubbo found peace. Where Tubbo went during the war, the only place where he wasn’t bothered, where he was safe and truly free, without a leader or a dictator over him. Tommy went to Tubbo’s jungle base.
He took the body with him, not letting anyone of Pogtopia know where he’s going, not wanting a Wilbur or a Technoblade, especially a Technoblade with him. He felt as though he needed to do this alone. He needed to make sure his friend, at least posthumously, gets the treatment he deserves. So he buried his best friend as he would bury a king.
Tommy spends the night at the jungle base and awakes at night, by a greenish blue light. It’s not too strong, but it’s just enough to be felt. He rubs at his eyes, trying to awake himself, to see if he’s not seeing this, but there it is. A will-o-wisp floating in the middle of the building. Tommy gets up, picks up his sword and carefully maneuvers around the wooden beams with a collapsed floor, he gets to the centre.
He gently cups his fingers and let’s the ember fall on his hands, but as soon as it touches them, there’s a bright flash and Tommy falls to the floor momentarily blinded. When he regains his sight he looks up and sees a ghost floating above him. Its back is turned to him, but he can tell it’s as confused as he is. But wait… He recognizes that shirt. It may be more bright and glowish, but…
“TUBBO” he screams in the dead of the night, the nature suddenly quieting. The spirit turns around with phantom tears in their eyes “,Tommy?” they whisper and that was the moment both of them were sure of each other’s identity.
Tommy rushes, tries to stand up and hug Tubbo, but he simply passes through the boy.
As disheartening as that was, Tommy is still overjoyed to see Tubbo alive. Or at least here, as they soon agree that he is in fact dead. Feel free to put a flashback here, a new paragraph or whatever maybe a new chapter from tubbos perspective.
The last thing Tubbo saw was a grim grin from Techno and a flash of blue and red fireworks. Here is a “how creative can you get” test! You can put somehow afterlife looks like, maybe something comes for Tubbo to go on, but he refuses? Maybe he sees nothing or everything is a blur? Maybe it was the last thing and the first thing he saw was Tommy’s crying face? Here is your free chappy for all the angst it can fit! Have fun go wild, turn on some sad music and let it ALL out!
Tubbo and Tommy talk for long and Tommy tells Tubbo the fallout of his death and Tubbo tells Tommy what happened from his perspective.
But here’s the funny thing, because I don’t know what you think, but… ghosts aren’t actually bound to places! They’re spirits they can go wherever they please! So Tubbo decided to stick around to Tommy. And as they travel and reach Pogtopia, they find out, Wilbur or Techno don’t see Tubbo. From a brief moment, where Tommy was sleeping and Tubbo broke away and went to see Manburg after the festival on his own eyes, he meets Schlatt and as he stops his breathing (he doesn’t need it, he’s dead, he just does it for comfort or out of habit), he’s scared, he think he’s noticed and waits for insults or a surprise or a sorry or a laugh, he feels something phase through him. Schlatt didn’t see him. Schlatt can’t see him.
After a number of tests Tommy and Tubbo settle it. The leader can’t see the spirit.
Niki can see him, it’s settled pretty much the day after Tommy came back, with a shout of fear and surprise and later happiness.
Quackity can see him as it’s settled, when Tommy meets him in the forest and Quackity aside from being scared shitless by a teenager with netherite armour, he sees a disoriented, glitchy ghost behind the teenager, floating creepily, lighting up the forest around them in a sickly cyan light.
Everyone can see Tubbo, but the people who caused his very death.
AND I’M DONE HERE. I DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. I CAN TRY TO THINK OF SOMETHING IF YOU ASK ME, BUT RN AS I’M WRITING THIS DOWN I DON’T KNOW.
Reminder, if you want to write this plz credit the idea <3 Also holy shit this hit 1831 words how.

According to Dream, L'Manberg had 24 hours to prepare for Doomsday (which ended up being 23.5). According to Tubbo, the explosions rained down for days. I see no reason to believe that there were stretches of weeks in between.
Regarding real vs. game time, the simplest explanation is to accept as canon only the timeframes that are outright stated in dialogue. If there is no statement, all guesses are valid. If there are contradictions, good fucking luck to us lmao
Here's the thing,
In the post I assume you're referring to, I was not talking about true canon. There's a number of posts/takes that try to treat L'Manburg as if it were an actual city state with a medium to large population in order to claim that Doomsday actually would've killed large numbers of people. I've seen this refereed to as "realistic" or "removing game mechanics". Frankly, I don't particularly agree with the idea that realistic = inventing a bunch of people that didn't exist before, but that's not the point. I was willing to take on that idea and examine it.
If we're talking about actual canon. Nobody died during doomsday, and it took 24 hours for preparation. There are no other non-canon people in L'Manburg. Like 10 people lived there, and all of them had plenty of time to remove any animals, things of value, or given minecraft mechanisms, literally their entire house could be fit in their pocket and moved 10 ft to the left.
If we're playing in the space of "Realism", then we have to run under the assumption that longer than 24 hours was given, because time in minecraft (and the things that you can accomplish in minecraft relative to the effort they would require in real life) passes differently.
Even just looking at Dream's obsidian grid, there's no way for someone to realistically leave the area, collect the materials required to build that, organize them, collect materials and potions required for battle (also adding any touches needed on the vault or other related projects), go back to L'Manburg, build the entire grid including setting up the TNT machines, then go ALL THE WAY TO TECHNO'S CABIN, meet up with them to prepare further and make sure his allies were doing well, and then head back to L'Manburg to get the Dog Army, ready all of them, and then attack. Also like, time for sleeping, eating, etc because you don't want to be going into a battle with no sleep or food. That's absolutely impossible in any remotely realistic setting. Honestly, without a horse, just getting up to Techno's cabin would likely take up his entire day, let alone getting back.
When we're trying to make this translation of time into "Realism", it makes more sense to use the direct translation of minecraft time. Hence, 24 hours ~ 2.4 months. That feels like a reasonable amount of time for Dream to collect his materials, build his grid, travel long distances and find his allies. You could shorten it a bit if you really wanted to, but even something along the timeline of a week still gives time for people to evacuate.
Like, any span of time in which Dream could reasonably build that huge ass grid and TNT machines is going to be more then enough time for anyone still living in L'Manburg to see it, take their stuff, and leave.
Not only that, but even if he had literally only given 24 hours warning to this imaginary population, people could've still effectively evacuated prior to the event. They could've seen him up on his grid and noped out of there.
Nobody had any chance to evacuate from Wilbur's explosion. There was no warning. Explicitly the opposite in fact. The festival would've lured lots of people, including lots of young children and their families, into L'Manburg.
The point of that post, was, and still is, that if you're going to try to make the analysis claim that "in a version of events where L'Manburg had a reasonable city-state population, the Doomsday Trio would've actually killed lots of people despite the evacuation period" you have to then accept and be okay with "Wilbur would've killed significantly more people than the Doomsday trio, without any warning or chance to evacuate, and including lots of children and families, when he decided to blow up the city.".
Obviously, everyone is totally allowed to have their own takes and AUs, but when discussing what's actually happened in canon, if you're going with the idea of non-canon populations, then you have to be willing to accept both. You can't pretend that the Doomsday trio would've killed people but Wilbur somehow wouldn't have.

This is some really good compilation, well done. However let me offer a few corrections as well as additions of scenes that were missed and some statements from cc!Dream.
(Apologies for the sources being somewhat sporadic. I don't want to make writing this take forever so I'm using mostly what I already have on hand rather than going out searching for it.)
So first of all for some context, here's what cc!Dream had to say about the revive book's creation ooc.
"I remember during the original or one one of the wars when it was like Schlatt against everyone essentially that originally was supposed to be shot in like a bunch of people. It was supposed to be like 50/50, everyone-going-against kind of fighting that war, but then it was going to be like me on that side, etcetera. And then nobody ended up. Like being on Schlatt side. And so I was like, fuck, like, no one wants to be viewed as the villain in this in this case, other than Schlatt, who obviously didn't care. And so I was like, OK, I guess I need to swap to the other side. But like, why would I do that? And that's how the revival book like came about. It was to cover that plot hole because I literally just switched for no reason. We had no reason for me to switch, it was just hey we literally need otherwise it's just Schlatt versus everyone and obviously he just loses. So we needed- they needed me to switch and so I just switched and I was like look we'll just we'll figure out how to explain it later and everyone was like OK and then later I was like what if Schlatt had a revival book, blah, blah, blah. So that was kind of how the revival book. Came to be. That's why I'm never said that. It's kind of new lore. Yeah, I feel like it kind of it happened like that because I feel like there was times where I kind of filled into the villain role because of the fact that no one else wanted to or could. Or whatever. I did that a couple of times and I just realized like, oh, I guess this, this is my character, you know? I'll kind of evolve my character and in that in that direction. So yeah."(x)
So I think it's pretty safe to say that in-universe c!Dream got the revive book not long before Nov 6th. At the very least we can guesstimate the date based on when people defected from Manburg.
We do actually have a small sliver of c!Dream commenting on the circumstances of how he got the revive book, in what seems to be a slip of the tongue.
Dream: “[Schlatt] gave me the revive book after- …before he died.” (23:48)
About exile, we can pretty confidently say that Dream's goal with exiling Tommy was to get the disc that Tubbo had.
cc!Dream had this to say about Dream's motivation for exile:
c!Dream liked the feeling of power and control that c!Tommy’s friend exiling him gave him. He wanted c!Tommy to feel so isolated that he eventually viewed c!Dream as his only friend, and would help c!Dream’s goals Would have worked if it wasn’t for c!Techno living nearby(x)
The first line is merely describing c!Dream emotional state rather than implying it's the cause (and really, who can blame him for the schadenfreude after all of c!Tommy's bullshit lol). The second line confirms that the whole "I'm your only friend" shtick was a means to an end for the sake of a certain goal, rather than being an end to itself as some interpretations suggest (mostly inniter interpretations).
Which brings us to the question of what said goal is. If we look at his actions around that time period, his behaviour at the green festival jumps up as a moment where he abruptly shifts his methods in a rather blatant way, which suggests there was an accompanying shift in priorities. A shift that can happen either when new and important information is introduced that changes things (nothing like that seems to happen during the green festival) or when a goal is accomplished and Dream shifts to pursuing his next one.
Considering that Dream gets hold of the disc there, through means that he developed during the exile period, and that his behaviour abruptly changes from his more reasonable demeanor to his mustache twirling villain persona the minute he gets the disc, it seems safe to suggest that his goal was getting the disc.
Also, during the exile negotiations he says he'll willing to not have Tommy punished if they give him the disc, so there's that. (Pretty sure it happened on Nov 28th, but it could've also been Dec 2nd.)
(Btw, we can track his plot to get the disc as far back as Nov 18th, when he and Puffy griefed a bunch of houses and framed Tommy for it. He convinces the pissed off people to confront Tommy the next time he logs on. While this exact plan falls through, it's pretty indicative of his intention.
I find it pretty hilarious that he needn't have bothered. Tommy ended up doing his job for him by griefing George's house XD)
This is something I would argue is very much the cornerstone of c!Dream’s tactician skills: he’s good at grasping opportunities in the moment. That’s not me saying that he can’t make a long-term plan, he very much can, but that more often than not he’s rolling with the punches as best he can.
You're 100% correct about that. I'll elaborate on this later, but this is something a lot of people don't get about c!Dream's strategizing. They think he's following a recipe (as that's the common way media portrays mastermind strategists) but in truth it's closer to him preparing himself a box of tools and trusting his skills to allow himself to achieve a set of objectives.
New L'Manberg who are scrambling to rebuild. War just… isn’t viable.
"Not viable" is a hell of an understatement. Between Tubbo, Fundy and Quackity they had one (1) sharpness 1 diamond sword... and that's about it. Quackity argued that they could recruit Techno to fight against Dream (I think his reasoning what that Dream was acting tyrannical? Or something similar about him liking taking governments down), which, lol. Lmao, even.
To make matters worse, they discussed recruiting Techno like 15 minutes before they had to talk to Dream and announce their decision, while Dream showed up in fully enchanted netherite AND Punz and Sapnap were also there with fully enchanted netherite.
So yeah, war was pretty "not viable".
It is very notable, however, that this decision was originally made. Because it was c!Dream who they were at odds with.
Their decision was also influenced by Quackity recounting the events of Mexican L'manburg that happened the day before. A recounting that was basically slander with how inaccurate and bad faith it was, especially because Dream explained to him in a one on one conversation his reasoning and motivations so it's not like he didn't know them. (At least it was really funny to see Q's chat going "Dream's actually making some good points..." during that conversation.)
It is also here I posit that this is one of the under-recognised turning points for c!Dream; it is here that he has emphasized to him just how far and how much people are willing to risk out of hatred for him, even beyond the point of peace, beyond the point of sense.
I'm not sure I agree with that, at least not from an in-universe perspective. Dream wasn't aware of what was exactly said in NLM's conversation's, so it couldn't really influence his mindset.
On 5th December 2020, c!Dream commissions c!Sam to build him the prison.
Technically he commissioned Sam on Dec 4th, the day Tommy got exiled. On Dec 5th, Sam talked on stream about how Dream commissioned him yesterday off screen. On Dec 6th they started building the prison and when the egg first appeared. (btw, there may be a day's difference between the dates I provide and the ones you have due to time zones.)
Another important scene that happen on Dec 6th is the one where Dream hints at the revive book's existence to Sam and Bad while they're building the prison. It's important to note that he brings this out of nowhere as nothing in the preceding conversation leads up to it.
Dream: “I have actually not ever to this point brought this up so this is interesting. Do you remember whenever I switched sides, like I was helping Pogtopia - mostly just because I didn’t like L’manburg and Manburg, I don’t like their government and I switched sides to Schlatt.” Sam: “Who died.” Dream: “And he died. But the reason I switched sides is because he gave me something in order to switch sides to him and I mentioned that I didn’t say what it was though but he did give me something.” (…) BBH: “Was it diamonds?” Dream: “No, *laughs*. But that card is always up my sleeve until I need it.” (…) Dream: “I won’t go into specifics, but what he gave me was a book.” (…) Dream: “I think it’s the most valuable thing on the server.” (01:06:51)
This scene has pretty interesting implications, especially because we know for a fact that the prison wasn't initially meant to imprison Dream due to word of god by cc!Dream.
"The prison wasn’t built for Dream. The prison was built for the, for fulfilling Dream’s goals overall and the ability to do that and one of those things was to– Obviously, there’d be, there’d be certain people that would be more likely to get in the way and unlikely to– And, and also having the understanding of the fact that there was a revival book. Dream, after kind of becoming aware of that and, and coming to possession of one himself, Dream had the idea that, well, you know, what if. What if somebody like Techno or somebody like, you know, somebody strong."(x)
(That's only the most relevant part of the transcript. The link has the transcript for the full answer as well as a couple of others + timestamps and links to the clip.)
In addition, c!Tommy - after journeying through the Nether with c!Dream, c!Sapnap and c!Ghostbur - stares down at the lava below and appears to contemplate jumping. c!Dream stops him. This is literally the second day of his exile.
Tommy very much came into exile in an already pretty messed up state. Aside from his truly erratic behavior following Pogtopia as well as his hair trigger temper that's spectacularly visible during Tommy's probation, we also have him saying during the exile negotiations that he didn't sleep properly that night (which may help explain the truly incredible chain of logic that led him to try and blackmail Dream with Spirit).
Last but not least, we have him explicitly saying he's haunted by Wilbur's breakdown in Pogtopia, to the point where Wilbur’s “let’s be the bad guys” line rings through his head when he tries to sleep(x).
On 15th December 2020, c!Tommy runs away from Logstedshire and builds a secret basement under c!Techno’s house, effectively ending his banishment. He has been exiled for 9 days.
On December 16th actually, same day as Techno's execution. Also, I think your math is wrong. Tommy was exiled on Dec 4th, which means he was exiled 12 or 13 days (timezones truly make it a mess to calculate without manually going and counting the streams.)
During these 9 days, c!Tommy receives multiple visitors, including c!Bad, c!Techno, c!Jack, c!Sam, c!Ghostbur and some others, and also receives various messages of support and gifts left for him. (He also kills a couple of his visitors, with dubious canonicity).
While I'm uncertain of the other deaths, I know c!Jack's death during that time is canonical and is in fact a big catalyst in his own personal storyline.
As for c!Dream’s intentions during Exile, it is at least one of them that the idea is to bring c!Tommy - a notorious troublemaker who incites a lot of violence across the SMP - under control, hoping to declaw him. It is also possible that c!Dream is thinking ahead to crafting a reason for c!Tommy to hate him and come after him personally - but I would actually argue that there is more evidence for c!Dream planning to end up in prison being cemented later than Exile, so bear with me on that.
I'm curious as to your reasoning for saying that Dream's intentions are at least partly based on on bringing Tommy under control, especially since you're presenting it as a certainty rather than conjuncture. /gen
That possibility seems unlikely to me even if staged finale hadn't been conceived by that point, as it doesn't matches up to Dream's usual goal setting methodology. Dream's goals tend to share three distinct traits: they're reasonably achievable with minimal reliance on luck, they're specific and can easily be categorized in a binary of done/not done, and they're decisive meaning that they either give Dream a distinct advantage or a result which can't be easily overturned.
Abusing Tommy into being a law abiding member of society is debatably specific and not at all decisive, as it's a state that Dream would have to maintain indefinitely rather than something with a fixed endpoint. Even in using Tommy to help Dream get the discs, there's a distinct endpoint in which the result is achieved.
I also doubt that Dream was thinking of ways to make Tommy come after him during exile. Not necessarily because of timeline reasons so much as because we see later on that the method he uses for that is acting like a mustache twirling villain, and in exile he doesn't twirl his mustache nearly enough.
There's also how mixing different priorities into one action can end up with a method that ends up achieving neither, and so should be done carefully. Dream's priority during exile is to get him to a state where he'll help Dream. If those things also end up helping with the next goal of getting Tommy to chase after him that's a welcome bonus, but he wouldn't go out of his way to do it.
I personally feel that [Technoblade's execution] is another notable point for c!Dream: first, that no matter who you are or how powerful you are, you can still be gotten the better of, so you’d better have a back-up plan, and second, that people don’t care if you’re leaving them alone, they’ll go after you anyway.
The first point is something that Dream lived and breathed since the very beginning. His hesitation to fight Sam on Nov 16 (after the war is already over) because Sam is acting like he has some unbeatable trick up his sleeve shows this clearly, but you can also see this in Dream's consistent tendency to overestimate his opponents and over-prepare for fights. Punz' behind the scenes video for the independence war shows that quite well. The sheer difference between Dteam's preparations and L'manburg's is genuinely comical.
Dream actually expresses a similar sentiment to the one you describe in your second point in his conversation with Punz the day after Techno's execution. He even specifically assumes that NLM are going to go after him next since they already went after Techno.
[Dream's conversation with Punz on Dec 17th] is our first piece of evidence that c!Dream is planning Staged Finale, in the direct aftermath of c!Techno’s execution, and is bringing c!Punz on board, as well as the two acknowledging that c!Punz is not safe being openly allied to c!Dream. It is only at this point that we can firmly say that c!Dream is planning to lock himself up in prison.
In addition to the content of the scene, we also have cc!Punz uploading this specific scene to twitter the day staged finale got confirmed during the prison break. He later talked about how he had to sit on it for so long but now everyone can see what came out of it.(x)
6th January 2021 - Doomsday. c!Dream, along with c!Techno and c!Philza, destroy New L'Manberg. c!Punz fights with New L'manberg during the battle, ingratiating themselves to the New L'Manbergians. This is also notable for being one of the times where c!Dream openly plays into c!Tommy’s perception of him as being obsessed with c!Tommy, stating that he’ll always keep c!Tommy around to torment because it’s more fun that way. I personally feel that you can really see the seeds of Staged Finale being sown here, which neatly brings us to…
Doomsday and staged finale are two parts of the same plan. Staged finale couldn't have happened as it did without Dream going about Doomsday in the way he had.
As soon as Dream gets his hand on the disc, he starts acting like the most stereotypical villain and doesn't really stop (aside from the times he's with Techno). By doing so, he primes people to believe that he really is the cliche villain before he brings out the truly ridiculous parts like the attachment vault and the monologuing.
More than that, by establishing himself as a supervillain, he not only manages to neatly separate himself from his previous actions (at that point nobody saw him as a representative of the dream smp faction, unlike before), he also turns everyone against him. After all, half the people that came to Tommy and Tubbo's rescue at the disc finale weren't there because they cared so much (some of the literally wanted to kill them) but because they hated Dream. if there were any remaining fraying bridges between him and the rest of the people on the server, Dream made sure to torch them.
The combination of the crazy supervillain way that Dream went about Doomsday, as well as it's resounding success created the sentiment that he was a villain who's too dangerous to handle. A sentiment which is vital for his ploy at staged finale to work.
16th January 2021, c!Foolish arrives on the server and c!Dream gives him a brief tour before leaving and saying that he’s “not supposed to be in the general SMP area”. More importantly, this is the day that c!Dream makes the ultimatum regarding the discs, delivering the compass to c!Tommy’s base and setting the date. At this point, c!Dream is fully locked into Staged Finale.
Fun fact, Ranboo is the one who griefed Tommy's base (and likely also the one who delivered the compass). When watching Ranboo's stream from the same day, he pulls attention to the fact his inventory is oddly organized (implying enderboo was active and doing things). In his chests that he opens soon after, we can see a few stacks of netherrack and an almost broken flint and steel on the last row of items there. The exact items used to grief Tommy's house.
And finally on the 20th January 2021, Staged Finale happens, where c!Dream is killed twice by c!Tommy and imprisoned inside Pandora’s Vault. It is pretty clear that at the very least his second death was highly unlikely to have been in his plan.
I disagree that Dream second death wasn't in the plan. All his arguments to Tommy about why he shouldn't be killed are the same cliche lines of the persona he uses. He also could've, quite easily, brought up the revive book sooner and prevented this death. (It's not like he didn't realize Tommy wanted to kill him. Especially not when he deliberately acted in a way to make Tommy hate his guts.)
And honestly, it makes sense. Strictly speaking, the first two lives don't actually do anything except act as a safety net. It's only the presence of the third life that creates a meaningful change. And it's not exactly like he needs this safety net considering Punz can revive him if worst come to worst.
Between c!Vikk’s last public appearance on 4 Jan and Staged Finale being locked in on 16 Jan, there is a span of only 12 days.
Tommy receiving the invitation was on Jan 16th, Staged finale was on Jan 20th. So 16 days overall.
This means that 1. c!Dream and c!Punz didn’t originally think that the Disc Confrontation would be that violent (that is, that c!Dream would be in danger of being murdered, not just imprisoned), and so in the aftermath of the Green Festival hastily kidnapped and tried to ensure that c!Dream had a back-up plan and something to bargain with should it turn so. This introduces an element of panic, and of rushing, to the story - which I feel would be objectively very well-fitting, considering how fast everything is happening (more on that in a second).
The facts don't necessarily support that conclusion. Strictly speaking, Dream didn't need to have the revive book in order to pull off staged finale. He just had to figure out something that made him too valuable to kill. Had the revive book turned out to be a sham, Dream would've certainly conducted the staged finale in a different manner that didn't necessarily put him in a position to be killed.
Or it means that 2. c!Dream and c!Punz experimented with the revival mechanic prior to experimenting on c!Vikk and c!Lazar. This opens up the time period from the moment c!Dream received the book (highly likely to be some time between 16 Oct - 6 Nov), to 16 Jan when c!Dream sets Staged Finale into motion. This is interesting in a different way, because if this is true then c!Dream and c!Punz didn’t test it on other humans (though I would presume they tested it on animals) before Staged Finale - this would also make the death experiments with c!Vikk and c!Lazar far more about learning about limbo and ghosts and such, rather than if revival even works in the first place.
The video of the revival experiments seems to argue against it. Dream and Punz explicitly say they aren't sure if the book works, hence the reason for the experiments.(x)
Also, c!Dream mentions that one of the rules of the revive book is that it doesn't work on animals or pets, similarly to the death book, so they couldn't have tested it on animals.
We do know that they did experiment on each other, not only because they say so during the Genuine Finale streams, but because c!Dream dies twice during Staged Finale and seems to have one remaining canon life despite losing one to c!Tommy ambushing and killing him during the early DSMP era.
That death had never been declared canon, so this argument doesn't work.
Which brings up the question: could c!Dream have revived c!Tommy if he had died during Exile? He says he could have done in the Genuine Finale streams, but how much of that could be put down to retroactively assigning control over events where he didn’t have it?
Well, he did have the revive book at the time, he just wasn't sure it worked. If Tommy died he wouldn't really lose anything from trying the book out on him. Plus during Genuine Finale he already knew the book worked, so he knew that if Tommy died in exile, he would've definitely been able to revive him.
Besides, the revive book isn't something that comes from the social sphere like your example of him losing control over his narrative. It's a concrete tool at his disposal. Even when spiraling, his planning tends to be the part that falls apart the least (which is what makes his panic post-prison so much more notable for how it does interfere with it, like during LN5.)
I think he’s an extremely adept opportunistic tactician, and he definitely has strategic capabilities (...) He spends a lot of his time with half a plan, mostly more of a goal he’s aiming towards, and his own skills to see him through.
You hit the nail right on the head. Dream's strategizing isn't following one set plan, or even a plan with a lot of contingencies. It's about recognizing what the win condition for his goal is and figuring out a path to it. Except, that's not really something which can be pre-planned when there are so many variables involved. Even someone with crazy good predictive skill like Dream (see: him predicting how the independence war would end before it even began in Punz' behind the scenes vid) can't predict things to the level needed in order to make something like that viable. It's just not humanly possible.
Instead what he does is create a lot of little plans (contingency, counters, preparations for any point of failure he can thing of), stacks the deck in his favor with as many advantages as possible and creates a framework for him to navigate in (his priorities, his win conditions, useful tactics). Everything else is him dynamically adapting to a situation using all the stuff he has pre-prepared.
And that's exactly what makes him such a scary strategist in the first place.
Plans that rely too heavily on prediction are rigid and brittle. They lack the capacity to take advantage of opportunities, and risk falling apart in the even of something unexpected happening. Dream's adaptability allow him to get all the advantages from being flexible while still maintaining the efficiency the pre-planning offers.
He's also definitely primarily a strategist, despite his great tactical ability. Dream doesn't work towards winning an encounter, he works towards leveraging it. The final control room's purpose wasn't to kill all of L'manburg's soldiers (It's minecraft, what was that going to do?), it was to steal L'manburg's most valuable items and use them as leverage to extract surrender.
Compare him to Techno, who's an amazing tactician but whose ability to leverage his wins in a fight to meaningful advancement of his goal is a lot weaker.
On Nov 16th, Techno won the battle he waged, yet that wasn't enough to prevent a new government from forming.
On Nov 16th, Dream lost the battle he waged, surrendered to his enemies who had his team greatly outnumbered, but he still managed to destroy L'manburg.
(Excuse me if this ended up devolving into ramble, it's quite late and I could talk about Dream and strategy for hours on end.)
You know, all I wanted to do was pinpoint the time period in which Staged Duo could have held and experimented on c!Vikk and c!Lazar.
So anyway, after several hours down a timeline rabbit hole, please behold a stretch of analysis spanning from Manberg to Staged Finale, positing the time period in which c!Dream got the Revive Book, potential moments where he committed to being locked up in the prison, the aforementioned experiment time span, and pretty much anything in between.
First: the Revive Book.
c!Jschlatt is the one to give c!Dream the Revive Book. This means that anywhere between 22nd September 2020, when c!Jschlatt wins the election and becomes the ruler of L'Manberg - now renamed Manberg - to the first time c!Dream mentions that c!Jschlatt gave him a book to buy his (outward) alliance to Manberg on 6th November 2020 is technically a viable time period for c!Dream to have received the Revive Book.
However, it is more likely that this time period is narrowed down further. The Red Festival (where c!Tubbo is executed on the podium etc) is held on 16th October 2020. It is far more likely that after this date is the time when c!Jschlatt is trying to buy allies, because it is at this point that a lot of Manberg's population is turning against him and destabilising the country, as well as the threat of Pogtopia being more prominent in this period. This makes for a highly likely three week stretch of time when c!Dream could have received the Revive Book: 16 Oct - 6 Nov 2020.
(During this time period, between the 6th - 8th October, DreamXD also makes his first non-canonical appearance on the DSMP, during the whole Dreamon Hunters thing that presumably got retconned out of existence. Just thought it'd be interesting to mention that.)
Second: Exile
(But first a brief side note that c!Vikk and c!Lazar first appear on the server on 23rd November 2020.)
On 28th November 2020, c!Tommy, along with c!Ranboo, robs and partially burns down c!George's house. c!Dream demands that he be punished for his crimes, and proposes to c!Tubbo the idea of c!Tommy being exiled. He organises a date to discuss further and c!Tommy is placed on probation (and has to write probation reports, lol).
On 2nd December 2020, c!Dream makes his "Spirit Speech" after c!Tommy attempts to blackmail him during the meeting. He makes an ultimatum to c!Tubbo that he has three days to choose whether or not to exile c!Tommy.
On 3rd December 2020, c!George is dethroned by c!Dream. The reason is that him being associated with c!Dream is making him a target (which it is), as well as the fact that c!George is failing to help keep the peace. c!Sapnap brings up c!Dream saying he doesn't care about anyone during the Spirit Speech, which... my guy, c!Dream has literally just said that anyone friendly with him is in danger, and he was making that speech to people who were actively antagonising him at that moment, including parading the remains of his dead pet in front of him. c!Sapnap and c!George walk away, and c!Dream lets them.
It could be very much argued that c!Dream didn't protest because he grasped upon the opportunity given; he knows it's safer for them to break from him. This is something I would argue is very much the cornerstone of c!Dream's tactician skills: he's good at grasping opportunities in the moment. That's not me saying that he can't make a long-term plan, he very much can, but that more often than not he's rolling with the punches as best he can.
On 4th December 2020, c!Tommy's exile begins - though not without some drama! Initially, New L'Manberg decided not to adhere to c!Dream's demand of c!Tommy being punished for robbery and arson, and instead decided to declare war on c!Dream and the Greater SMP.
However, when they arrive to tell c!Dream of this state of affairs, c!Tubbo reneges and acquiesces to exile c!Tommy instead, angry at his authority constantly being undermined by New L'Manberg and eager to avoid a war they simply can't afford. Like, they just won their last one on the infamous 16 Nov, and the Greater SMP is much more powerful than New L'Manberg who are scrambling to rebuild. War just... isn't viable.
It is very notable, however, that this decision was originally made. Because it was c!Dream who they were at odds with. That's how much they hate c!Dream: to be willing, even if briefly, to launch themselves into a whole new war as the foremost aggressors, just because it's c!Dream.
It is also here I posit that this is one of the under-recognised turning points for c!Dream; it is here that he has emphasised to him just how far and how much people are willing to risk out of hatred for him, even beyond the point of peace, beyond the point of sense.
On 5th December 2020, c!Dream commissions c!Sam to build him the prison. This is not necessarily the point where c!Dream decides to lock himself up in the prison, but it is indeed the first point where the prison becomes A Thing. There is definitely room here, for now, for c!Dream to be utilising the idea of the prison as a deterrent against attacking him/the Greater SMP, which is notable in the aftermath of yesterday, when a new war with New L'Manberg was only just avoided.
Also on this date, the very first signs of the Crimson Egg are noticed by c!Bad. In addition, c!Tommy - after journeying through the Nether with c!Dream, c!Sapnap and c!Ghostbur - stares down at the lava below and appears to contemplate jumping. c!Dream stops him. This is literally the second day of his exile.
On 15th December 2020, c!Tommy runs away from Logstedshire and builds a secret basement under c!Techno's house, effectively ending his banishment. He has been exiled for 9 days. To put that into perspective, c!Dream spent 312 days locked in prison.
During c!Tommy's exile, c!Dream destroys his items repeatedly and tries to reframe himself as c!Tommy's friend; between the two passes undeniable peer abuse (of the psychological and emotional variety), which is better known as bullying.
Some of these c!Dream destroys, but others c!Tommy himself destroys, not wanting "pity items". He also begins to hallucinate (both visual and auditory) during this time. He perceives himself to be totally isolated, though this, objectively speaking, is not the case. c!Tommy's mental health is undeniably in a bad way during this time, but it cannot be solely rooted in Exile or in c!Dream, but rather earlier than that, though c!Dream definitely exacerbates it on purpose.
As for c!Dream's intentions during Exile, it is at least one of them that the idea is to bring c!Tommy - a notorious troublemaker who incites a lot of violence across the SMP - under control, hoping to declaw him. It is also possible that c!Dream is thinking ahead to crafting a reason for c!Tommy to hate him and come after him personally - but I would actually argue that there is more evidence for c!Dream planning to end up in prison being cemented later than Exile, so bear with me on that.
Third: c!Techno's execution through to Doomsday
On 16th December 2020, c!Technoblade is executed by the Butcher Army in New L'Manberg, despite having never gone near the place after being banished from it after 16 Nov. A Totem of Undying saves his life, while c!Dream and c!Punz interrupt to help him (and Carl the Horse) escape, which in turn leaves c!Techno owing c!Dream a favour.
I personally feel that this is another notable point for c!Dream: first, that no matter who you are or how powerful you are, you can still be gotten the better of, so you'd better have a back-up plan, and second, that people don't care if you're leaving them alone, they'll go after you anyway.
On 17th December 2020, c!Dream and c!Punz have a conversation regarding everything that just happened. c!Dream mentions that he is going to craft a plan to make everyone hate him/focus on him, and the two scheme to have a public "falling out" over the death of Bumpkin, c!Punz's horse. In reality, c!Punz will tame a fake Bumpkin and hide the real Bumpkin elsewhere (this exact plan falls through).
This is our first piece of evidence that c!Dream is planning Staged Finale, in the direct aftermath of c!Techno's execution, and is bringing c!Punz on board, as well as the two acknowledging that c!Punz is not safe being openly allied to c!Dream. It is only at this point that we can firmly say that c!Dream is planning to lock himself up in prison.
Over the Christmas 2020 period, c!Punz is very active around the SMP, while c!Dream is not nearly as active. This is one of our notable stretches of time where c!Dream spends the majority of it off-camera with his whereabouts unknown. During this time, it feels like everyone and their dog is planning to kill c!Dream, by the way. Shout out to c!Jack and c!Niki who are also planning to kill c!Tommy, though.
On 27th December 2020, c!Techno and c!Tommy have an encounter with c!Dream while sneaking around the SMP, who tries to convince c!Techno to turn on c!Tommy and give him back to c!Dream. c!Techno states that he and c!Tommy are currently allied, but that "could be changed" if c!Dream cashes in his favour. c!Dream declines to cash it in and lets them go. This is another piece of evidence for c!Dream thinking ahead and trying to stack as much in his favour as possible for the future - c!Techno's favour means more to him than control over c!Tommy in this moment.
4th January 2021, as best as I can tell, is the very final date that c!Vikk appears on the server. While c!Techno and c!Tommy are torturing c!Fundy, c!Vikk breaks in through the wall at 46:41 in Techno's VOD. It has to be after this date that he and c!Lazar are kidnapped by c!Dream and c!Punz. I will return to this in a later section.
On 5th January 2021, the Green Festival, where a whole bunch of people plan to kill c!Dream, occurs. They fail when c!Dream appears armoured (instead of unarmoured, as was agreed) and accuses c!Tommy of blowing up the Community House (which is the justification for not keeping to the no armour agreement since the accord between them has already been broken). In reality, c!Ranboo, in their Enderwalk state and on the orders of c!Dream, blew up the Community House, but that doesn't come out until later.
On this day, c!Tommy betrays c!Techno and re-joins New L'Manberg. The 24 hour warning for Doomsday is issued, with c!Dream offering his help to c!Techno, while c!Punz publicly supports c!Tommy and New L'Manberg, while in reality they are a spy. This is one of the first instances of c!Dream and c!Punz publicly distancing themselves from each other in the lead-up to Staged Finale.
6th January 2021 - Doomsday. c!Dream, along with c!Techno and c!Philza, destroy New L'Manberg. c!Punz fights with New L'manberg during the battle, ingratiating themselves to the New L'Manbergians. This is also notable for being one of the times where c!Dream openly plays into c!Tommy's perception of him as being obsessed with c!Tommy, stating that he'll always keep c!Tommy around to torment because it's more fun that way. I personally feel that you can really see the seeds of Staged Finale being sown here, which neatly brings us to...
Fourth: Post-Doomsday through to Staged Finale
16th January 2021, c!Foolish arrives on the server and c!Dream gives him a brief tour before leaving and saying that he's "not supposed to be in the general SMP area". More importantly, this is the day that c!Dream makes the ultimatum regarding the discs, delivering the compass to c!Tommy's base and setting the date. At this point, c!Dream is fully locked into Staged Finale.
(18th January 2021, as a side note, is the first canonical appearance of DreamXD when he breaks the Ender Portal that c!Techno and c!Philza are examining. This is also the day that c!Techno talks about founding the Anarchist Syndicate.)
On 19th January 2021, c!Punz is "recruited" by c!Tommy for Staged Finale via a chest full of items they say are beyond what c!Dream has ever given them.
And finally on the 20th January 2021, Staged Finale happens, where c!Dream is killed twice by c!Tommy and imprisoned inside Pandora's Vault. It is pretty clear that at the very least his second death was highly unlikely to have been in his plan. He will not escape until 28th November 2022, 312 days later.
Fifth: So... what else?
What else? One important question, really: when did c!Dream and c!Punz start experimenting with specifically revival?
Between c!Vikk's last public appearance on 4 Jan and Staged Finale being locked in on 16 Jan, there is a span of only 12 days. This allows, of course, for multiple experiments, but not for anything particularly long term or drawn out.
But we know that Staged Finale has been in the plans for longer than that - since 17 Dec, when c!Dream first brought it up to c!Punz, in the direct aftermath of c!Techno's execution, which I would personally say is the moment where c!Dream decided firmly on that particular use for the prison, even if he had been contemplating the idea before.
This means that 1. c!Dream and c!Punz didn't originally think that the Disc Confrontation would be that violent (that is, that c!Dream would be in danger of being murdered, not just imprisoned), and so in the aftermath of the Green Festival hastily kidnapped and tried to ensure that c!Dream had a back-up plan and something to bargain with should it turn so. This introduces an element of panic, and of rushing, to the story - which I feel would be objectively very well-fitting, considering how fast everything is happening (more on that in a second).
This is interesting in a different way, because if this is true then c!Dream and c!Punz didn't test it on other humans (though I would presume they tested it on animals) before Staged Finale - this would also make the death experiments with c!Vikk and c!Lazar far more about learning about limbo and ghosts and such, rather than if revival even works in the first place.
We do know that they did experiment on each other, not only because they say so during the Genuine Finale streams, but because c!Dream dies twice during Staged Finale and seems to have one remaining canon life despite losing one to c!Tommy ambushing and killing him during the early DSMP era.
I suppose it also depends on whether or not you consider the Crimson Egg to be a symptom of the "corruption" the experiments caused or to be something else entirely separate. As a reminder, c!Bad first noticed signs of the Egg on 5 Dec, back during Exile, which would place the death experiments as occurring earlier than that.
Which brings up the question: could c!Dream have revived c!Tommy if he had died during Exile? He says he could have done in the Genuine Finale streams, but how much of that could be put down to retroactively assigning control over events where he didn't have it?
c!Dream is notorious for this - for retroactively portraying himself to have had more control than he did, to have more power. Think of c!Wilbur - c!Dream lost control of the narrative surrounding himself in that very first conversation, before he knew what was happening, before he even knew that it was something he could lose. Leaning into this image others have of him, trying to own it, has been a long-standing c!Dream play, some attempt to regain control by acting like he never lost it in the first place. But he did.
c!Dream's power has never lain in the social sphere, and for all his intelligence, all his ability to leap and twist opportunities presented to him, he doesn't have much control over the narrative surrounding himself. The only way he could "reclaim it" somehow was by leaning into it.
And now I direct your attention to the overall time period we're looking at, here. At the longest possible point, from 22 Sep to 20 Jan, we're looking at 120 days for c!Dream to have had the Revive Book. More realistically, it would be somewhere between 16 Oct and 20 Jan, which is 96 days or less.
During this time, c!Dream had to juggle intra-server politics, dethronement, Exile, the Red and Green Festivals, c!Techno's execution, and Doomsday, not to mention every other stream he openly appeared in. And somehow perform experiments with the Revive Book in between all that. No wonder the guy said that "everything got... so jumbled" - everything happened so fast!
This man's life got destroyed in nine months (from April 2020, when the server began, to Staged Finale in January 2021), and his mental health took a very sharp downturn for about three months (or max four) after the Revive Book was given to him. This is one of the big reasons that I point to c!Dream doing a lot more rolling with the punches than people generally give him credit for; there simply wasn't enough breathing space for much else!
As far as long term plans go, Staged Finale and the set up for it is the only confirmed canon one for this time period, which I personally feel, considering the evidence, is only fully decided upon by c!Dream on 17 Dec when he brings c!Punz into the idea, after Exile and after the prison being commissioned.
cc!Dream and the rest are of course a different matter, but in-universe I would say that the aftermath of the execution combined with the growing hatred and growing certainty that nowhere is safe and that they'll come after him anyway (which they do) is what tips c!Dream over the edge regarding this plan.
It is unknown whether c!Dream and c!Punz knew about the corruption or its cause during this time, though they both definitely knew about the Crimson Egg (if one takes it as a symptom of corruption). Likewise, it is unknown if their "reset the server" plan was created during this time period, or whether it was created post-prison and pre-Genuine Finale. We do know that they continued experiments during that time.
And... that's it. There are areas open to interpretation, of course, there always is, but this is my personal take on the timeline of how c!Dream got from A (receiving the Revive Book) to B (being locked up in prison).
I think he's an extremely adept opportunistic tactician, and he definitely has strategic capabilities, but overall he is battling a steep uphill slope regarding his control over his self-image (and he isn't, um, great at spotting when others are crafting a narrative around him until it's too late) and this limits his social manipulation powers greatly on a wide scale. He spends a lot of his time with half a plan, mostly more of a goal he's aiming towards, and his own skills to see him through - something that drastically backfires on him during the prison.
In the aftermath of that, his desperate need for control (over himself, over his life, over the threats others pose to him, over how other people perceive him) is stark; disturbing and heart-breaking. He completely deteriorates, with even his own prison - his fortress, his would-be still-somehow-is-because-I'll-make-it-mine home - falling into disrepair around him.
#blue talks#dsmp#this is some seriously awesome detectiving work#I'll always respect someone who does timelines and goes through the vods

I still maintain that technoblade having one life really Does go a long way in explaining and justifying his paranoia as a character despite how objectively op his skill in the game is. it’s one of those things that I’ve always thought would’ve slotted nicely into his character to flesh him out without much actual legwork being necessary.
the problem is that the execution of that idea was more or less the worst way it could have been introduced.
- techno being on one life as a baseline means, of course, that he’s never died. this is supposed to justify the kind of paranoia that leads to him shooting his friends in the face, shooting crowds of people, setting off withers on people who were his allies minutes ago, destroying countries, etc. having technoblade Actually Die, even off screen, would justify that Fear Of Dying. obviously nobody wants to kick it, but the point is to make him more Nuanced and Vulnerable. having him start at three lives and now be at one means that he Is touchable and the fact that everyone thinks he isn’t is both Useful from his enemies and Scary coming from his allies. him being a hardcore world survivor only further serves to justify his image as techno the undying.
“why is technoblade so angry when he’s betrayed? because he was betrayed before and died for it!” it would have literally been that easy
- the whole thing with phil is that he’s on one life because he’s already died in two hardcore worlds. this could be (and probably will be) retconned, but this was supposed to be a cute little nod to phil’s pre-series minecraft days. I get that techno didn’t know this, but like Yeah Exactly. this has retroactively changed Phil’s canon, because hardcore worlds do not work the way that they did when he joined the server. there’s no point in trying to argue whether phil knew that wilbur was on one life or not when he killed him anymore, because now phil didn’t know there Were more lives.
- and actually on that note, why Does wilbur have three lives if he would’ve Also been born in a hardcore world? he’s phil’s son, phil lived in hardcore worlds before the dream smp and that is the reason why he only has one life, why was wilbur different? this wasn’t an inconsistency until yesterday.
- he literally shot himself in the foot by insisting that no, his minecraft oc could Never lose in a fight even if it’s off screen. he Assumed that nobody else had more than one life because Everybody had one life where he came from. that means he shot tubbo, his ally, thinking he would die forever. that means he shot into the crowd of people thinking any of them could die forever (including niki, who cc!techno specifically called out as an ally), he Deliberately abandoned wilbur and tommy at the festival (in those words) thinking they could die forever. this doesn’t make his actions during the red festival more sympathetic, it actively makes it worse.
- technoblade himself seems Unaware of that last point. the point of having techno only be on one life is that it’s meant to be Tragic. technoblade is supposed to be More Vulnerable, More Human, More Afraid than the people around him realize. the Potential tragedy of techno and tommy’s argument is not “you could have saved tubbo but you didn’t” it’s “you Think I could have stopped this by myself but I couldn’t.” but that would require techno to be Vulnerable In The First Place. that would require “technoblade the undying” to be a Facade, and we can’t have that, no No.
and yet technoblade presents this information as if it makes techno’s actions during the red festival more sympathetic anyways. as if he wasn’t in full netherite, withers and rocket launchers on his person, a stack of enderpearls in his inventory, while tubbo and wilbur were fully unarmed and armorless. like he didn’t turn and fire on the crowd and then abandon his teammates.
literally All He Had To Do was say “I was scared,” but he couldn’t have that so it’s “well Actually everyone else was wrong for not protecting Me.” despite the fact that it was supposed to be a Misunderstanding in the first place that techno has Already Realized it was a misunderstanding? wilbur and tommy are both on one life at this point Just Like Techno and wilbur is holding GRAVEL, so techno is Still objectively in the safe position than either of them. and they both thought techno had three lives and techno KNOWS THAT. and yet techno’s takeaway is that they’re in the wrong for not going to save Him? and that’s supposed to justify him apparently killing tubbo thinking tubbo was on a one way express to limbo?
they somehow made him Less sympathetic and More Hypocritical with what was supposed to be a foolproof surefire way to make his character more nuanced.

Dream SMP designs!!! I made all of them furries !!!!
Individual and headcanons under the cut !! :]
Tommyinnit
Tommy hasn’t always presented himself as a raccoon hybrid, in fact he never knew this at all
He first manifested his hybrid traits during exile, which wouldn’t have been a problem if it weren’t for rampant instincts
When he finally escapes exile to Techno’s cabin, he gets the help he needs—as well as some basic information about his new needs
Wilbur Soot
Nobody actually knew (besides Phil) about Wilbur’s hybrid status, the reason why being he had a cloaking charm to look human
When he died, Ghostbur came back in the form of an entire fox hybrid. People didn’t recognize him at first until he started talking about things only Wilbur would know
When he’s revived as himself with no magical disguise in tow, he came to the unfortunate (for him) fact that one of his biggest secrets has been exposed
Technoblade
Technoblade is a piglin brute hybrid, he’s also the god of war and harvest
Due to the effects of the totem, all of his scars turned gold like his blood. His mane also has strands of gold in it, however it’s more everywhere than Wilbur and Tommy’s marks.
Philza Minecraft
Philza is an elytrian hybrid, an ancient ancestor of the avians. He’s one of the only left
He’s the Angel of Death, and the husband to the Goddess of Death, Trixtin
He’s been alive for thousands of centuries
Tubbo Underscore
Tubbo is a ram hybrid, being the son of Jschlatt (however neither of them know this)
He manifests his hybrid traits while in Manberg under the watchful eye of Schlatt (and if Schlatt was a little kinder after helping him through the pain then no one needed to know)
After his death at the festival he loses half of his ear on his right, then while his horns are growing one grows improperly and breaks through his skull and grows out his right eye socket. He’s in constant pain, but he’s used to it by now
Ranboo Beloved
Ranboo is an Enderman hybrid, everyone knows this; however no one (including themself) knows he’s also a dreamon. Yes I made dreamons an entire physical species I make the rules
His memory loss stems from his enderman and dreamon sides fighting themselves, as both species are actually mortal enemies to the point of rejecting each other subconsciously
Fundy
Fundy is a Fox Salmon hybrid, how he didn’t inherit any elytrian traits is a mystery
Wether his mother was a salmon-mer hybrid or an actual salmon is an answer only he and Wilbur know and everyone has to find out themselves (no one is willing)

Wilbur gave Phil such a distorted view of what happened during Pogtopia because he didn’t want Phil to worry, because he was saving face.
Phil has no idea Schlatt was President. He has no idea Wilbur got exiled. He has no idea about the Festival. Phil thinks the Festival is when he showed up. Phil has no idea Tubbo died at the Festival. He has no idea Techno executed Tubbo.
The only thing he knows is that he showed up and Wilbur blew up everything. All he knows is that he showed up and Wilbur begged him to kill him.
Phil has so little knowledge of what happened that he genuinely believed Wilbur won the election, ceded power to Tubbo, and then made Pogtopia because he liked creating nations.
No wonder he blamed Tubbo during Doomsday. He has no idea what the truth is.
Did he know that Wilbur was on his last life? He didn’t even know Tubbo lost a life, let alone two. Does he even know Tommy was on his last life when Dream killed him in the prison? Does he even know how much the original L’Manbergians sacrificed just so their country could exist?
Does he know just how much they had to fight just to keep it alive, and how they finally broke when he helped blow their country to bedrock?
#dream smp#dream smp spoilers#/rp#philza#Damn#I’m not a fan of c!Phil#But that gave me something to think about#I have to go back and watch the button room scene again#Because I’m not sure whether they retconned stuff or if that’s part of the amnesia everyone gets upon joining the server (apparenly)#It feels more like a retcon tbh#And I’m not sure how I feel about it

patroclus wasn't like, the kind one in contrast to achilles's rage. achilles's rage made him not want to fight, made him want to let the achaeans and trojans bleed each other out in a war he could've ended single handedly, whereas patroclus wants to help the achaeans win by joining the fight. wilbur claims quite often during pogtopia that they are powerless against manburg, but as we see at the festival and later again at the butcher army fight, techno can easily kill everyone in manburg from essentially the moment he gets a kit of diamond. wilbur is tempered by rage, because he doesnt want to win like that, he wants to win properly, in a way that can secure his honor as the proper ruler of lmanburg.
during the festival, wilbur wears the armor of a man ready to end it all, but he's all of patroclus's righteousness here, dressed in a thin veil of rage. he claims to want to destroy manburg, but really its a ploy to get it back. he envisions surviving the explosion, stepping out into the destruction, and being king of the ruins. when tubbo dies, this hope dies in wilbur. wilbur's rage falls out of his hands into schlatt's, just as he kills the hope wilbur has for getting lmanburg back. schlatt is wilburs hector, and this is the moment he kills patroclus and steals the armor of achilles.
theres a really key moment in the iliad where achilles hears the prophecy that if he kills hector, gets his revenge for patroclus, he will die young, but if he abandons it, he will live until he is old with riches and glory. this just. straight up happens on oct 17. wilbur realizes that if he goes with plan bomb, he will die too, and also accepts that now that his hope is gone, he has nothing to live for.
and then he goes to battle, all cynical rage and no empathy for his enemy or friends or anyone but the lost nation he will never have again. manburg dies, and so does he. he and the hope for lmanburg are entombed together under the rubble, forever.
cwilbur is like if achilles and patroclus were the same person rather than two.

c!quackity: this will be long and a lot
😇 A headcanon about their religion/lack thereof
👻 A headcanon about what scares them
🦾 A disability headcanon
💝 A headcanon about their love language
💔 An angsty headcanon
👗 A headcanon about their clothes
🔪 A headcanon relating to fighting/violence
🍫 A headcanon about food
🎭 A headcanon about what they lie about
😭 A headcanon about the worst thing that happened to them
Hi aqua! I’m gonna give some long answers so buckle up.
😇 Religion: Quackity doesn’t believe in any kind of god. He realized there was nobody there when he prayed for help over and over and nobody came. During Manberg he still went to church every Saturday because of the high population of religious people in Manberg. Schlatt himself was a man of the prime and it looked good in the press so they went. Tubbo believed in the prime very strongly. He and Quackity would go to church together sometimes just the two of them, usually late at night when it was dangerous to be in the White House. The last time they prayed together was right before Tubbos death at the festival. The last time Quackity was in a church was right after Tubbos death. He screamed and swore and tore down the alter. Finally Quackity fell to his knees in the ruins and prayed. He would be most perfect man on earth if only XD would bring Tubbo back safe and unharmed. Nothing happened. Tubbo was still gone. Quackity avoids churches now.
👻 : what scares him? Being helpless. Every single time it happens Quackity swears never again. He will never ever find himself in that position again. And it keeps happening. After Schlatt when Wilbur blew up La Manberg, after La manberg with Techno, after Techno when Tommy died and Quackity couldn’t protect him. When Slime died. When Slime killed him. It makes Quackity sick every time he thinks about the moments where he was weak and scared and couldn’t protect himself. He has nightmares. Some of them based on memories others based on fear. In the most common nightmare that’s not a flashback Quackity is pinned down and slowly drowns unable to move or fight back. Sometimes he can hear his friends screaming for help and he dies knowing he’s failed them. Completely unrelated he’s started avoiding water.
🦾 disability: on a lighter note Quackity had to learn how to fight after Techno took his eye and slime pushed him off a building. Foolish offered to help him so they spend an hour every morning training. Foolish has spent hours teaching Quackity how to move and fight again. It took a long time and few awkward conversations for Quackity to accept that Foolish’s help wasn’t a favor he needed to pay back. Foolish enjoys it even through Quackity is not a morning person by any means. Quackity pays attention and he’s a quick learner. Besides being a god can be a bit lonely and even through Foolish would never admit it, it’s nice to wake up and know you’re going to spending time with a friend someone for an hour every morning.
💝 his love language:
I have two ideas pick you favorite:
ONE 🤗
Quackity’s love language used to be touch. He would curl up on Schlatts lap and fall asleep or play with his hair while he was working. Now it’s gifts. Quackity would do anything for the people he loves. He built Karl and Sapnap a whole city just for them. He used to buy Slime all these expensive history books becuse he knew how much Slime loved them even if they where a pain to get. He buys all his employees lunch and ice cream every Friday as a thank you. This is definitely not a trauma response or a desperate effort to show he can be useful.
TWO: Quackity’s love language still is touch. He had a flinch response to any kind of touch after Schlatt. He claims he’s gotten over it and which is code for forcing himself out of it. Quackity wasn’t weak or broken or traumatized thank you very much. He constantly draped himself over Karl and Sapnap to prove just how not broken he was.
💔angsty headcannon: Once Quackity and Schlatt got in a fight in Manberg. It got so loud and violent that somone called the police. Quackity ended up with a broken wrist but was too scared to go to the hospital. Especially because they would have questions and Schlatt had already convinced the cops everything was alright. Schlatt had told Quackity many many times nobody would believe him, that they would just think he was lying for attention. Tubbo ended up setting Quackity’s wrist for him wrapping it up with strips from one of Tubbo’s shirts and way too many healing potions. It didn’t really heal right and it still hurts when it rains
👗 a headcannon about his clothes. Quackity makes dozens of little pockets in his clothing to hide weapons. You never know when you might need them! He also refuses to get rid of said weapons. When he was “visiting” Dream, Sam had make sure Quackity didn’t sneak any unauthorized weapons inside. In response Quackity kept finding more creative ways to hide them. It got the point where Sam had to spend twenty minutes patting Quackity down. The first time Quackity said “at least take me out to dinner first Sam.” it was funny. The fourteenth time was a lot less funny. Quackity seemed to almost be more amused by Sam’s annoyance then his own jokes.
🔪fighting: Quackity fights like fucking wild animal. He bites and puts his fingers in eyes and spits. He’s been known to literally bite someone in the throat for pissing him off. He’s not a good fighter but he’s good at holding off bigger and stronger people for long enough to be able to sneak away.
🍫: food: eating disorder tw! Quackity has a terrible relationship with food. In manberg Schlatt was constantly commenting on his body. Quackity was never fit enough never, never thin enough his ass was never fat enough. The press constantly mocking him and his weight didn’t help. So Quackity stoped eating at all. It was about Schlatt and his comments Quackity would make his husband proud even if it hurt. It was about control. In this way Quackity had perfect control over himself and his body. He called all the shots. It was about suffering. It felt good to be hungry it was the kind of pain he could handle. Quackity healed a little bit after Manberg when he started dating Karl and Sapnap and gained back a lot of weight. However he’s started to relapse in Las Nevadas especially with Dream out of prison and Schlatt walking around as a ghost.
End Tw
🎭 what he lies about: Quackity lies a lot about a bunch of little things. He makes a show of himself in Las Nevadas. Even his laugh is staged. The biggest lie he told recently was about slime. He told Sam for weeks that he has been off on meetings every night. Sam started to get suspicious when Quackity returned obviously upset. So he followed Quackity out of Las Nevadas and to a grave. He watched Quackity sit next to a picture of Slime and light a candle tears slipping down his cheeks sobs shaking his shoulders. Sam left and never mentioned it again.
😭 the worst thing that ever happened to him: after Schlatt during the first few days of New La Manberg Quackity went to hospital for his wings. It had been months since Schlatt had clipped them and they where incredibly painful. Tubbo went with him. They made a pact that Tubbo would go for his burn scars if Quackity would go for his wings. It was more for Quackity’s benefit because Quackity was terrified of hospitals after one too many Rosemary Kennedy jokes but Quackity let Tubbo think he was tricking him. Because honestly he wanted Tubbo there. Quackity sat and very calmly explained that he had an partner who had hurt him and cut his wings. And to his complete surprise the nurses believed him. They ran a bunch of tests and came back in and he just knew based on the doctor’s face. They were very sorry but thanks to the damage to his wings and how long he had waited to get help Quackity would never fly again. Quackity took it well. He thanked them politely and took the card for a therapist that he would threw away the moment he got home and told Tubbo he was fine and dropped him off at the White House. Then he drove as far out as he could and screamed until he couldn’t make a sound anymore.
