#Tsum Malleus is literally Malleus

I just got into the Tsum Event…

And I’ve been doing nothing but squeal and scream over how cute and precious these Tsums are!!!!

I want there to be a Part 2 of this Event!!! And if I counted right, there are exactly SEVEN Tsums, so that means there will HAVE to be ANOTHER 7 Tsums if they’re going to have a Part 2 of this Event!

Though, I mostly just want a Malleus Tsum, but plot-twist, Malleus Tsum keeps following Yuu/Us around and refuses to leave Yuu/Us alone (And Sebek is struggling with the idea of a Tsum Malleus 😂)

But like, Tsum Malleus has the same level of strength and power as Malleus, but because of his little body, no one could even think of it (And he’s very happy when he’s around Gargoyle’s, but shows annoyance when someone mistakes a Statue for a Gargoyle) and while everyone is freaking out where Tsum Malleus is since he can cause SO much destruction if angered, he’s just been Chilling with Yuu in Ramshackle the entire time (He’s just snuggled up on Yuu’s shoulder or head looking very happy)

As for the other Tsums, I want Idia (My beloved), so Tsum Idia and Idia are just panicking (Until they find common ground with video game and technology), Deuce (‘Shy’, until proven otherwise), Ruggie (He can steal things SO easily with how small and fast he is, he can’t get caught), Azul (Azul finally meets his match), Kalim (Sunshine with Lil’ Sunshine, Jamil is just TIRED) and either Lilia or Silver (Tsum Lilia is just pranking left and right and a cooking MENACE while Tsum Silver is just napping on Silver or by himself with animals surrounding him/them)

That’s enough of my rant, I just can’t help but find how CUTE (Handsome for Epel) these Tsums are, it’s going to be a literal CRIME if a Second Part isn’t going to be made

Lol! You think the monsters would be jealous of their tsum versions like they are with Grim?

Absolutely. They are either jealous as hell or they are foaming at the mouth seeing their Human be such a good little parent to their Tsum versions.

Malleus is almost feral and ready to stuff the Human full of his offspring, as is Lilia. Sebek's Tsum blushes deeply upon seeing the Human and launches at them, snuggling against their chest after tackling the Human onto a couch while Sebek yells at his tsum to be more respectful, accidentally grabbing the Human's chest while he tries to reign in his tsum and is now blushing and curled up on the floor.

All the Tsums stack themselves on top of the Human and make a cuddle pile. They even let out squeaking cries if the Human tries to move while they are stacked. Literally 22 Tsums bouncing after the soft Human and trying to snuggle the Human at every opportunity.

Floyd-tsum squeezes the Human with all his might so no one can pull him away. Azul-tsum is blushing blue and snuggled down in the Human's clothes for warmth and comfort. Malleus-tsum rides on top of the Human's head with Lilia-tsum, they are both holding onto each other so they don't fall. Sebek-tsum and Riddle-tsum are on either shoulder like little wings. Leona-tsum is sleeping in the Human's arms next to Silver-tsum. Jade-tsum has discovered the Human's pockets and is quite pleased. Jamil-tsum is in the Human's other pocket. Jack-tsum is walking with Vil-tsum and whining to be picked up by the Human. Ortho-tsum is flying closely while carrying Idia-tsum with the jets Ortho and Idia made for it. Cater-tsum stole the Human's phone and is taking selfies with the Human. Rook-tsum is trying to figure out who he wants to admire more, Vil-tsum or the Human. The other tsums are following closely, squeaking and demanding one of the carried tsums switches out so they can be carried too.

They discussed the chapters one by one from 7-1 to 7-7 (and a little mention of 7-8), but this blog pretends that content not released on EN does not exist 💦 So here is the topics from the video from the beginning through 7-4! ^^

An interesting revelation was that it seems the VAs have actually been told very little about the direction of the story 👀 Midorikawa says multiple times that he'd had no idea that this is where Book 7 was going!

*Note: everything outside of quotation marks is only paraphrased from the conversations between Kato Kazuki (Malleus) and Midorikawa Hikaru (Lilia) and is not literal quotes.

Opening

・They compared guest rooms. ・Kato’s has a kitchen area and living rooms, a mix of various dorms and holiday furniture. ・The 1st floor of Midorikawa's guest room is Ignihyde themed, and the 2nd floor is Diasomnia themed. He is proud of having all their tsums. ・Kato says he will update his room for when they meet next time. Midorikawa says he’ll be reminding him.

・Everyone was surprised by Lilia’s announcement that he will be leaving the school.

・緑川：「皆、先の話知らないから、誰も。『え？出なくなんの？』俺、別事件で動揺していたからな」 (Midorikawa: “No one knows how the story will go.  So I was upset for a different reason than everybody else: ‘I’m not going to be in the game anymore?’”)

・Kato and Midorikawa discuss their favorite flavors of shaved ice: the “basic” flavor of strawberry for Kato, and milk flavor for Midorikawa, which he says is harder to find these days. Kato says that there was a place in front of a public pool when he was a child that sold chocolate milk-flavor shaved ice, but he’s never found it anywhere else.

・They were both surprised by Lilia’s magearm.

・The appearance of Lilia’s general design silhouette: Midorikawa saw it before it was revealed and thought it was very cool.

・Midorikawa enjoyed the farewell party where Lilia was able to speak with all of the characters, which is so rare.

・緑川：「僕もその後の、リリアの出番的に知らないので…中退しちゃうのか…出番、ぼちぼちなくなるのかな…という、ね」 加藤: 「確かに、先知らないって…不安っすね」 緑川: 「そうそう。知らん。全く…全然知らないからね」 (Midorikawa: "I don't know how things are going to progress, with Lilia's appearances in the story...dropping out of school...I guess his appearances are going to drop off, then...is what I started thinking." Kato: "That's right, not knowing anything...it's a little nerve-wracking." Midorikawa: "Exactly. I don't know. At all...I have no idea.")

・Silver is the only one different from the faerie group, he is in a difficult situation.

・Gao Gao Drakon-kun is cute. And they both want one.

・The humming scene. Midorikawa says that he'd thought the game had ended, and Kato explains how hard the humming was as he would run out of breath, so recording took a long time. He had wanted to do his best, since it was such an important point in the story.

・Malleus’ overblot line is directly a line that Maleficent has.

・And now everyone is asleep. Midorikawa says he is jealous because he does not sleep very well at night.

・They both wanted to know more about the Mickey situation, but that will probably not be for a while. They don’t know anything about the future of the story, but that is the assumption. Meeting Mickey felt like seeing something they’re weren’t supposed to see.

・Malleus’ magic was beyond what they’d imagined. 

・Since the previous book’s characters tend to have a role in the next book they had expected Idia staying behind from the farewell party to be how he escaped Malleus, but then he was asleep with everyone else.

・Idia’s parents voiced by veteran actors Tange Sakura and Onosaka Masaya. Mother is adorable. 

・Sebek’s dream: Kato says that keeping the balance between Malleus’ voice in his overblotted state and how he speaks in the dream is difficult, and he will often slip into overblot-voice and need to be corrected.

・Cerberus Ortho is a very cool card.

・The forest background from Lilia’s dream was illustrated in the same style as the forest in the original Sleeping Beauty.

・Midorikawa knew that Lilia was based on a bat from the audition but he was very surprised by the realism of Lilia’s bat mask. 

・Midorikawa had no idea about anything to do with Lilia's past. Nothing was mentioned about it in the audition or anything. He’d been told nothing in advance. It was a whole new perspective of the character. If he had been told in the audition then he would’ve understood that they had finally arrived at the part of Lilia’s life, but no one had ever told him anything. And he has so much more dialogue in the dream. 

・And Baur appeared—that was a surprise. Midorikawa had had a feeling that his voice actor would be Koyasu Takehito. (Note: Midorikawa and Koyasu have worked on the same projects very often, with both of them voicing characters in Gundam W, Slayers, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Fushigi Yugi, Weiss Kruez, Shaman King and more.)

From one Jack simp to another, THANK YOU for your takes and advocating for him, I enjoy reading them all 🙏😭 My hot take is that I have a bit of mixed feelings over Jack being a New Years SSR; I was hoping he'd be a SR. I'M HAPPY OF COURSE!! He looks amazing and it's been so long since his last event SSR, but... I do consider New Year events kind of like mini filler events like MasterChef. They're just not interesting, nothing of substance happens and it's not lore-driven. I think it's kind of a waste to put Jack as a main SSR in an event like this. The cons of Jack being a SSR is that it will cut off the chances of him being the main SSR of a story-driven event for a good while. I was hoping he'd be a SSR for the 2025 halloween event (he had a SR and R card so he's due to a SSR) but it's highly unlikely that a character gets 2 event cards in the span of less than a year. Uh, if they're not the marketable housewardens. (EVENT SSRs I mean. Not counting Club cards or book 7 exclusive cards.) I guess my hopes for a Jack hometown event for 2025 are shattered 😭 I'm still salty that Tapis Rouge ever happened. Vil, who already had 2 EVENT SSRs and was due to getting ANOTHER ONE SOON (Tsum 3 with a Malleus, Vil and Idia SSR was already a certainty) had a "hometown" event before Jack. It makes no sense to me since; we already HAVE a snow-white themed event (Haverston) and didn't need a second one and Vil only spoke about his father like 2 or 3 times in voice lines. Jack on the other hand constantly brings up his family and his siblings whenever he can and spoke about them MULTIPLE times. He deserved this, idc.

Uh, let's hope the groovy for Jackie's new year SSR is good and not another disappointment 😭 and hey, at least he is guaranteed to appear in 2025 halloween event! As a SR I hope... They wouldn't give them ANOTHER R card, right? R-Right??

I understand this on every level.

On one hand we are so desperate for Jack to get more focus that we will take literally anything and appreciate every scrap we are given because DANG THAT CARD LOOKS AMAZING--me being especially glad there are no Pomefiore cards this round to go with it. But on the other hand New Years events aren't that special and it feels like a very lazy way to throw Jack a bone because if the game updates for long enough, all of the characters could theoretically get a New Year's SSR.

Our boy is getting something, but he still deserves better. The game is so prone to neglecting him that I fear they'll say, "Well that's our Jack feature for the next three years!" You're right, a hometown event for him is basically out of the question for this year, but Halloween may still be on the table because of how far away it is! The spacing may be just enough for them to give him to us this year! Please please please pleasepleasepleaseplease. . .

Wait! What about tsum Mad Doctor!Yuu??? Batman might be able to protect both Silvers, but can he prevent both of Yuus? You see, so the plan is tsum Yuu will annoy Lilia and act as a distractor so the real Yuu can spend time with his dearest Moonshine!

... Except that plan backfires almost immediately. Tsum Yuu refuses to leave Silver's side, and the two Yuus enter a battle of Life and Death (not literally) to win the seat next to Silver, all to Lilia's amusement and Silver's blissful ignorance 😴

That aside, do you have any more thoughts for the tsum version of Yuu?

Lol, that’s pretty much how it would play out. (Unless tsum Silver was there in which case, they’d both be content with their own Silvers.)

Tsum Yuu would be a terror of the campus as he’d want to cut everything with a saw or scalpel. He’d also be a bone thief, stealing fish and chicken bones to make fishicken skeletons. (And the less said about him sewing rats and birds, the better.)

That being said, his attention would be focused on Yuu and vice-versa. Both have a “There can be only one!” attitude. The arc would be the two going at each other like Tom and Jerry, only behaving when Silver was around and awake, then resuming their fight when he dozes off.

Upon first seeing him, everyone thinks Yuu is a dead fish or rat. Only Silver thinks he’s cute and he takes care of TsumYuu like an angry kitten. (This annoys both Lilia and Yuu.) Tsum Yuu bites, mostly Sebek who often tries to take TsumYuu from Silver as Tsum snuggles a little too much to Silver.

Malleus plays with him as well, highly amused by his antics.

Wait, the tsun event has a whole bit dedicated to Malleus bragging about what kitchen appliances he knows how to use? Twst EN just got the milk culinary crucible, which means at the same time Malleus is showing off, the entirety of the EN players are learning Leona doesn't know how to use a microwave. The timing really just makes it feel like Malleus is flexing on Leona XD

it's in Mal's card story rather than in the event proper, but yep! after teaching his tsum proper microwave usage, he takes it on a tour and very proudly shows off his extensive knowledge of household appliances. (except when he thinks his tsum fell into the washing machine and doesn't know how to unlock the lid, so he just. explodes it instead. hashtag just diasomnia things. 🤷)

I do think he and Leona should get into a fight about who has done a better job of learning how to use kitchen tools! Leona has the advantage of having grown up in the modern world, but Malleus has the motivation to actually do literally anything. who will win

Tomoe

Tomo-tsum will not stop itself from literally treating Ace-tsum, Deuce-tsum, Irina-tsum and their corrosponding humans like its literal kids. Includes Grim too, of course. Protecting them like a big mother hen. If you hurt any of them, it's going to give you a glare, and lecture you. And it will literally sit them all down and have study sessions with them, making sure they complete their homework. Helping them whenever they struggle, of course. Will do what regular Tomoe wishes she could; literally just go up to regular Leona and lay down next to or on top of his chest and nap with him. Regular Tomoe is both too busy and a little too stuck in her careful consideration of societal and situational appropriateness to let herself do that. It'll also kiss his cheek in his sleep. And it WILL go on long rants at Crowley about how irresponsible of a headmage he is and that he should be ashamed and has no right to call himself an educator.

Irina

When neither Malleus or Malle-tsum are present, it's restless

And the second Irina-tsum sees Malleus it is GLUED TO HIM Even better if it's Malle-tsum~ (Irina-tsum is literally half of Malle-tsum's size)

Irina-tsum REFUSES to let go and starts literally crying when Malle-tsum is out of its sight for even a moment If another tsum, or another person who is not Malleus- with a special exception to Lilia and Lilia-tsum- is being too affectionate with Malle-tsum, it will give them a DEATH GLARE, then literally push them away so it can cuddle more with Malle-tsum

But if Malle-tsum wants it to join in on whatever activitity it and the other tsum were doing that made Irina-tsum jealous, it will, pouting a little bit and sticking to Malle-tsum like glue, still frowning at the other party but no longer AS upset. Like it's giving the other a silent warning.

If it's separated from Malle-tsum it will literally bite whoever is holding it and speed away, running around trying to find Malle-tsum again

Spike

Spike-tsum also isn't all that different from regular Spike

Will not hesitate to pick up its friends (tsum equivalents, I mean) and give them bone-crushing hugs

If it sees an image of Neige it's turning into that 'I miss my wife tails' meme, and will be all sad until it can see him (though granted this also isn't too terribly different from regular Spike)

It headbutts people a lot though! If it's startled, or upset, or if you made any of its friends startled or upset

AND IT WANTS IT NOWWWWWWWWWWW Praise it and thank it and say it was really helpful and very pretty~ Or else it's gonna pout and throw a fit until you do The little diva it is, it will find a way to insert itself into ANY situation, and make it all about it. Will pull of plans with the complexity of a rube goldberg machine just so it can be the star WILL create scenarios that gets someone in trouble and then swoop in and save them and immediately start begging for praise like a puppy who just performed a trick. Will give people lists with things needed to throw a big parade for it

Veronica

SHY. If Vil-tsum is around Veronica-tsum will follow it around like an excited puppy, following its every instruction to the letter. If Vil-tsum praises it, it'll look super duper proud. It'll try to give Epel-tsum a little kiss on the forehead now and then, and get things for it from hard-to-reach places If Rook-tsum is around it'll get super flustered and shy and just wanna hide if Rook-tsum starts being very affectionate. But if Rook-tsum thinks it wants to be alone and leaves, Veronica-tsum gonna get mad at it for trying to leave Similar thing if Cater-tsum is around, and Veronica-tsum will also get upset if it at any time tries to leave without her. And it'll follow Cater-tsum around, no matter what it wants to do. If Cater-tsum tries to be affectionate with it, it'll blush so much, and look like an anime school girl with a crush, but won't do anything to try to stop it. If both Vil-tsum and Cater-tsum are present, Veronica-tsum will feel really troubled, not knowing who to follow, sometimes almost looking on the verge of tears, as though needing to decide between the two is a decision that could end up haunting it for the rest of its life. Even worse if Victor-tsum is also there SUPER protective of Victor-tsum, even more so than regular Veronica is of regular Victor Even LOOK at Victor-tsum while not smiling and you're on thin ice

If it sees too many people it likes in the same room, not fighting, it's going to be close to tears because it's so happy.

Also be ready to have it roasting evey single part of your outfit and makeup, and literally dragging you to your or regular Veronica's room to give you a whole makeover. It will not be satisfied until it's made you look the best you possibly can.

Victor

It will give you dead birds (cat energy)

Isn't as menacing as regular Victor, though, simply because it never TRIES to be menacing. If you upset it in any way, it's gonna go to Veronica-tsum to get it to do something about whatever upset Victor-tsum. When it sees Jack-tsum, it'll run up to it and give it the biggest, softest hugs imaginable. It'll follow along Jack-tsum if it wants to show Victor-tsum something, but be in general a lot more soft, gentle and mild-mannered than regular Victor. All its smiles, in stark contrast to regular Victor, are genuine.

Victor-tsum is still just as reserved as regular Victor, but acts it out in a very different way, not being afraid to show how timid it actually is. It'll often end up hiding behind Jack-tsum or Veronica-tsum If ANYONE who is not Jack or Veronica picks it up, it will start squirming and look like it's crying. And then you will have two angry tsums (Jack-tsum and Veronica-tsum) after you. It likes sitting with Idia-tsum and watching it play games in a comfortable quiet.

Artemisia

If other people or tsums are doing something, it'll follow along with them because it wants to be included. It won't necessarily do the same activity as them, but it'll watch, just sitting close and listening.

It'll give Jamil-tsum roses and love poems and literally act like they're in a classic romance novel. It will become visibly sad if Jamil-tsum doesn't give it poems in return. Even if it gives Artemisia-tsum a super short one like 'roses are red, violets are blue, cats are cute and so are you' it'll be really happy. If Jamil-tsum has to leave, it's going to hop up to it and give it a kiss before it does.

It sometimes likes to sit on top of regular Malleus' head, in-between his horns, and read a book, which often earns the ire and jealousy of Irina-tsum.

A few things I want to preface this partial prediction with. Based on the trends, I think every boy is getting a New Year's Attire. Yes, even your fave. They started with 2 cards (Kalim and Deuce) and since then have released 4 each year. If this trend continues, I would expect 3 more New Years Sale events with 4 cards each, 2 SSRs and 2 SRs. The only thing that throws me off is... him (glances over to Leona). This is a lottery students sign up for. He would NEVER sign up for it willingly, but let's assume the stars align and the man is forced to be here. There's also King of the Introverts Idia Shroud, but I'm sure there's something he'd get out of it that makes him set out on the service worker quest. He and Sam have a bit of an understanding, I'm sure there's a valid reason he can make an appearance as a card in the event.

Now as for who is getting paired up and who is appearing this year, I have a theory. Looking back at the combinations of the past 3 events in terms of dorms, the first was Heartslaybul (H) and Scarabia (Sc). The second was Savanaclaw (Sa), Diasomnia (D), H, and Pomefiore (P). The third was H, P, Ignihyde (I), and Octavinelle (O). So far, no combination has had two members of the same dorm at once. Therefore, I think in each event, the 4 will all be from different dorms (that also makes it more fun when the dorms come into the shop if only one of them is a worker). So if you think of the next groups as breakdowns of 4, that means two of the three will have an H boy (Ace and Riddle), and all of the upcoming events have a D boy (Silver, Malleus, Lilia). So that would like

Not in that particular order, but you get the idea. Now as for who will be in this next event specifically, I have another theory. So far, we have had an Sc, Sa, D, H, and P SSR. The fact they don't repeat a dorm in this order is something I find interesting. Based on this trend, I believe in this next event, the SSRs will be an I and an O. Because Ortho is already in an event, I think this year we are getting an SSR New Year's Attire Idia (or at the very least at some point, fair is fair, every dorm should get at least on SSR), which would make this a stacked year for Idia as he already has Tsum SSR but I still think this is right. And folks. IDIA IN CUSTOMER SERVICE! THINK OF THE VIGNETTE. As for O, it could go for either Floyd or Azul. Both are spectacular candidates for that vignette and I'm not really leaning towards any, but mark my words one of them is getting an SSR.

"But didn't Ortho and Jade JUST appear last year" yes they did. But I don't think that'll be an issue because in event 2, Cater and Vil appeared as SRs and the following year Trey and Rook appeared as SSRs. O and I for this event should still work.

And if we go with my previous prediction, that puts a D boy in there as well. Which of the three still available it will be, I'm not so sure. Probably depends on who would Duo the best with those I predicted (and based on my prediction I know EXACTLY which one many people are going to manifest). As for the fourth person, I actually don't know. We could be in the set that either includes an H or doesn't. There's a 2/3 chance of one appearing, but that would be 4 H boys in a row. I don't know if they are pumping them all out as quickly as possible or if they'll stop and put another dorm in. That fourth person could literally be almost any other dorm (P (Epel), Sc (Jamil), Sa (Leona or Jack)) Also, there's nothing against two dorms appearing together in two events (case: H and P both appearing in two events). This is probably another case of the Duo logic, except Duo predictions don't tend to make sense to me especially since they can repeat, so I don't even try to make sense of them. They turn me into that one dude with the whiteboard meme (Actually that image matches most of the nonsensical theories I spout).

At the very least, based on my model an O and an Sa should appear with an H and D, either in the same event or different ones. In the one with Sa, D, and H, the 4th just won't be Epel because that's just event 2 in another font.

So that also leaves 4 other SSRs to wildly speculate about. Now, this becomes less of a theory and enters more personal desire territory. I want Jack to be one of them. BREAK HIM OUT OF R JAIL, HE DESERVES A WIN, GIVE HIM ANOTHER SSR YOU COWARDS! Um, yeah hopefully Jack gets one, man is long overdue. I REALLY want Silver or Malleus to get another one, they both only have, well, one. Actually, Malleus is getting another one with Tsum, so Silver is more so lacking. And Silver is my boy, so of course I want it to be him. But, just IMAGINE the Malleus in customer service vignette. It's too tantalizing to not want. I doubt both could get one because Sebek has one, so it has to be one or the other (watch it be Peepaw, coming in with a steel chair to steal the SSR from his sons). Throwing it out there: Diasomnia SSR is after this one. Based on the conspiracy theory I have I won't elaborate on. Ok now as for the other two, I'm going to say NOT Jamil. Funny enough, I predicted him getting the SR in Tsumsted 3 and he was an R wildly enough (a true win for One SR Trey), so I don't have a good track record predicting Jamil cards (Tapis Rouge baffled me). Anyway, this is based on the fact Kalim already has one and if the whole dorm has one it'd be giving favoritism. Also, I have no idea where a vignette could go from there. (Gosh, I don't know WHY they don't give the SRs vignettes anymore, Deuce got one and I love it). Using that same logic for Leona. The favoritism thing, not the vignette. That vignette would be hysterical. Man, customer service Leona is going to be so funny. It's just if I bank on Jack, then Leona should be an SR to keep the peace (Please let it be Jack, LEONA HAS ENOUGH (no hate to Leona btw)). That leaves me with 2 more SSRs and 4 contenders. I think Heartslabyul can spare another since there's just Trey so far, so there's a good chance Ace or Riddle could get an SSR. Perks of being the biggest dorm. So I guess that leaves an O boy and Epel. Since I think one O boy is getting it this year, that means the other is in competition with Epel to snag two SSRs for their dorm. That'll be interesting to see.
